I hc that Jake is a bit gnc too. He's still a man but he occasionally wears eyeliner and long skirts and all that bc he likes how he looks. It looks a bit funky w his hat and jacket (he must wear them every day) but he loves it anyway. He isn't as caught up in doubts as Marc bc he's finally being able to live his own life instead of being a ghost. He's taking full advantage of his newfound freedom and trying out everything. It's a bit like that post w a pic of Jackie Chan in a pink crop top and the caption "You can wear whatever you want when nobody can beat your ass" lol

I think he wouldn't help Marc figure out his feelings but they're both aware of what the other is doing. Marc's surprised to switch in one day and be wearing eyeliner. He freaks out a little but Steven's like "oh yeah, Jake put that on. It's cute right?" Marc says "yeah, yeah" and pretends like he doesn't want to stare at himself in the mirror for hours. Or Marc's getting them dressed and finds several new skirts hung up in their closet. He almost puts one on but doesn't. Maybe he hears Layla complimenting Jake and he realizes that maybe it's ok

He would struggle for months more on his own until he finally buys himself a cute dress or smth and hides it. He loves it but he isn't ready to show the others. When he finally shows them much much later, Steven is very supportive and Jake is jealous he's been hiding such a cute outfit from them

I love this headcanon sm tOoOOo!! Gnc Jake is so near n dear to me (obvs) and I love that he is for others in varying ways too. And yess!! I think him coming more to front and helping them to experiment more would definitely help Marc lean more into or explore transfem aspects of himself should they b there. Getting that experience with more feminine things, with a safe space and confidence in that nonconformity, with Jake’s wider view on gender and his solid weight that can help guide.

HI HI i have never in my life told a writer or artist about my love for their work BUT I JUST HAVE TO TELL YOU HOW CHAOS IN THEIR BONES IS SO SPECIAL TO ME especially after chapter 6…

i’m not someone who cries easily, at all. it rarely happens BUT YOU HAD ME SOBBING. YOU HAVE MADE ME CRY TWICE WITH THIS STORY you truly have a gift.

it’s been a good two hours since i’ve read chapter 6 and i just can’t let it go. it has actually affected my brain chemistry a bit. the way doc has so much chemistry (platonic or not) with everyone and this thing with zoro isn’t an isolated event just really gets me so immersed. the emotions get so real i literally feel everything you explain.

SO UNBELIEVABLY EXCITED FOR THE WHATS NEXT but be sure to rest well and know that we here are absolutely obsessed with your writing.

OH and would you be okay with me making special spotify playlists for each chapter? i have many thoughts and songs for each one already^^

This is such a lovely compliment? Oh my God?? I saw this in the morning after I reblogged that post, and I just sat and stared at it for a while. I know I push an agenda with my blog; everything is orange themed, I post about flowers and golden hour a lot, Hell, one (now two!) of my mutuals call me 'golden girl' and that's one of the first things you see in my bio, so, by psychology, you'd associate me with that sort of stuff.

But, outright saying my personality is very similar? That's a whole different thing, and it's brought such a warm feeling to my chest.
