#third one is giving dead wife in a flashback

"Fear No Mort" was constant whiplash. In fact, I struggled to evaluate this episode at first because it was one twist after another. Throughout the episode, I had flashbacks to "M. Night Shaym-Aliens!" (the rap scene might've been a direct reference) and the Rickbot reveal in "Ricktional Mortpoon's Rickmas Mortcation."
For better or worse, season seven's had a lot of callbacks and episodes that mirrored previous ones: "That's Amorte" played out like "Mortynight Run"; "Air Force Wong" brought together Dr. Wong, the president and Unity; "Rise of the Numbericons: The Movie" was a "Get Schwifty" sequel.
Seasons six and seven have also piled on the fanservice. The first four seasons stubbornly refused to give us what we want, dangling fan theories or a gentler Rick in our faces before yanking it away. Rick started to change in season five, but it's another ten episodes before you get Rick in a suit and tie, Rick announcing that Rickcest is canon, Rick regularly going to therapy, Space Beth joining the family and other content that's floated around the fandom since 2017.
And let's not forget the big one: C-137 Rick and Morty, Prime Rick and Evil Morty in one episode, fighting and teaming up after we saw Evil Morty's once-forbidden backstory.
Some call it cheap thrills, but I call it a gift to the fandom that's patiently waited for the fakeouts to end. And now that I've said that: "Fear No Mort" was one giant fakeout.
But was it, though?
This is the most unpopular opinion in the world, but I'm not invested in Rick and Diane's relationship. As a gay woman, I just don't connect with opposite-gender couples. Also, I dislike the trope of the idolized dead wife that the audience only learns about through her widower. She's not her own character, just an extension of the male protagonist.
When the fake Rick and Diane reconnected, I thought "Oh boy, this is getting cheesy." They're falling for each other again: check. Rick feels guilty about her death: check. We see how similar they are: check. Rick doesn't want to leave: aaaand, check.
I'm also a little lost after the ending. Morty was the only one in the hole, so why did we see all these scenes from fake Rick's perspective? Was an NPC really that busy?
How much we learned about Diane is debatable, too, since Morty never met her. I guess his ideas came from whatever Rick's told him and maybe the ship's voice since she's based on Diane.
I did like how the episode kept reminding us that Morty's still in the Fear Hole. I mean, we didn't know that, but we knew that. No "Are they in the Fear Hole or not??" until all the twists in the third act.
Aside from that, I don't want the show to revisit the past too much because Rick needs to let go. If you're a Marvel fan, you saw the backlash to Steve Rogers traveling back in time to spend a lifetime with Peggy in "Endgame." He had a life in the present, but he refused to move on.
Nostalgia makes us yearn for earlier years, but if Rick abandoned his family to live with Diane in another reality, I wouldn't call that a sweet ending. I'd call that a disappointment and a waste of his character.
Turns out, Rick never had that option at all.
Well...in a way, he did. And when Morty told him what he saw in the Fear Hole, Rick ran back to the restroom. He looked into the hole. He thought about it. And then he did what I wanted him to do, which was walk away. In this moment, he chose the present.
Admittedly, Morty's fear came true: Rick didn't jump in the hole after him, he did just sit there and watch, and he didn't want to say that Morty's irreplaceable out loud. Plus, Rick was bewildered when Morty hugged him. But for the first time, instead of standing stiffly or gently pushing him away, Rick started to hug him back.
We also saw what Morty didn't: Rick smiling to himself after hanging up the picture of Morty that he kept in his wallet. He had the chance to wallow in shadows of the past, but he didn't take it. Rick chose him.
"Fear No Mort" could've ended with Rick just saying "Let's go" and leaving, but it didn't. Seasons one and two Rick would've bitched and moaned about Morty taking so long. Season three Rick would've left him there for a while to torment him. Season four Rick would've found a way to take advantage of this.
But seasons five, six, seven? That's real character development. That's what all the Twitter users saying "Wow, Rick and Morty is actually good" have been missing out on.
And for the first time in the series, a season didn't end with Rick relapsing or getting a (well-deserved) ass kicking. Is Morty going to get the grandfather that he deserves? Or will he move on, too, now that Rick's releasing his iron grip? Speculating is fun, but for now, let's focus on today.

I pressed play on this episode and was immediately greeted by Zelda kissing Blackwood :/ ( @humanlesbiangarbage and I were talking about Zelda’s moans. Mind your business)
Zelda answering the phone of her business like she is annoyed that they are calling her business during business hours
Her hair looks so good but the stupid fucking editors of this show have it so dark in the mortuary. I can’t see the rest of her cunty ass outfit. 😩
I’m so glad that they got her makeup together because episodes one and two were….
Ambrose massaging Sabrina’s leg while they sit on the couch always stood out to me because it’s true cousin behavior, like if you were my sibling I would kick you for putting your fucking feet on me but my cousin? love you, babe xo here’s a massage
The overacting by the fright club is not doing for me. Not you Roz you’re amazing.
Roz is so tired of all this witchy shit like what do you mean your fucking dead aunt from frontier times told you to go into the mine ?
Sabrina being like “someone’s looking out for you” and Harvey being like “yeah Tommy 🥹” and Sabrina’s face being like “damn bitch I put a whole protection spell on you”
I love that Zelda canonically traipses about the mortuary in her nightgown and robe for completely normal reasons
Agatha: a bunch of mortals died
Nick: you mean like her boyfriend? 👀
Hilda’s wig is really good and I’m not gonna look at it any harder because I don’t want to see lace
Sabrina is a fucking liar. She didn’t even cross her fingers when she told Hilda that she wasn’t gonna get any ideas about resurrecting Tommy.
It’s a funeral why is Lilith walking around so sexily??
I wonder why Lilith protected the weird sisters…. She definitely knew they did it. - ok looking back it was so Sabrina would ask Prudence for help. Smart. Smart
Theo in his little suit 🫶🏽
“He bought all my school supplies” BECAUSE OUR FATHER IS A DRUNK
Lilith’s face when Harvey pipes up and says that Tommy did not love the minds is hilarious. I know she was expecting to come to the funeral and be bored as hell 😂
Mr. Kinkle is definitely drunk at this funeral
All I could think of is “I sebest- blehlehlehleh”
Michelle’s makeup looks so good at Dr. C’s. She puts makeup on like she’s trying to attract women.
Sabrina is so fucking stupid because Lilith was literally like “oh no actually it’s so easy. It works really well. It’s in my office. Here is the title.” And she was like “I’m a female manipulator, I’m so sneaky heehee”
I think it’s interesting that the race is witches and Blackwood is a sexist misogynist chauvinist pig. I don’t know if I’m making sense but it’s not giving. you’re literally a witch. Why do you hate witches?
I don’t like the way he’s looking at my wife
He’s doing this confession like he’s having an erection. I hate him
My wiFe’s a BitcH beCaUse shE’s deNieD me sEx wHiLe she’s in her thirD triMestEr
And Zelda you’re making me mad for agreeing with him. I know you’re horny, but you could literally have hate sex with Lilith.
Roz’s jacket with the little flowers embroidered all over is so cute.
Agatha and Dorcas are so silly and goofy in this little flashback that Roz is having
Sabrina said “Prudence come get your fucking girls”
Prudence’s waves look so fucking good, but I am once again mad about the fact that she had to wake up extra early to do her own hair because they didn’t have anybody to do black hair on set and that is why it’s shaved in later seasons
They’re so silly for sitting there playing pattycake stonefaced
They are also so silly for repeating the exact threat that they made in Moon Valley as if it was a question
Sabrina is really Zelda‘s daughter because they make the same face before they bitch slap Agatha
Lilith be like “hell yeah! a shadow let me fucking stand in here”. She like a cat in a box 😂
I really thought Prudence was going to tell Dorcas to shut the fuck up
Some of their anti-heaven phrases sound so stupid to me. “Unholy shit” stfu Nicholas
Prudence asking Sabrina if she sure about this and Sabrina saying she has to be. Like no you don’t you literally could’ve not done this.
Sabrina is so silly for taking a seat while Ambrose chews her out. She was like “yeah let me sit down for this”
“the ritual didn’t mention anything about the murdered, sacrifice having to stay dead” she is the dumbest person in greendale
Ambrose should’ve went inside and immediately snitched on Sabrina because yeah she needs that ass beat. But cousin code. I get it.
I love Prudence’s accent. Especially since Tati’s regular voice is 🥺
Zelda is sitting at the table hiding behind her newspaper like she’s about to nut. Go upstairs you freak!
I need to see Zelda in this red dress from the back for completely normal reasons
She’s licking her lips and smirking like she’s about to get fucked. I hate her.
This seems inappropriate.
Zelda: “Entirely appropriate”
Me: ZELDA no!
They probably eat TV dinners every night at the Kinkle house. I would kill myself.
I know that Tommy is a gentleman because even as a zombie he still knocks.
#caos live blogging#s1 ep 8#Real Miranda hotto fans know what I’m talking about#Also I love that Kiernan was the one who started calling her that#everybody did a great job this episode. Good job gang.#caos

9 Fandom Peeps to Get to Know Better
tagged by @defeateddetectives /o/
3 ships you like: *looks into void* do I even have 3 proper ships
1) MikoIzuTotsu (Suoh Mikoto x Kusanagi Izumo x Totsuka Tatara) - K
And no one was surprised. I MEAN ITS BEEN OVER TEN YEARS. BUT A GOOD CHUNK OF THOSE TEN YEARS WERE DEDICATED TO HOMURA TRIO (well technically... the real answer is Totsuka Tatara however we will ignore that for the sake of this meme). Get yourself two others who will go through it all with you thick or thin. Get yourself a leash i mean what. Get yourself a Kusanagi-san! Settle down in a bar and raise i mean gather a gang family!
2) Qin Jiu x You Huo - Global Examination
Felt obligated to include them since I'm currently trying to drag ppl to read this lmao. Also bc i have no ships to answer with, help. BUT THE CHEMISTRY! I mean, this is probably the first time I clearly see what people mean by the word ~ chemistry ~. Qin Jiu is such a chaotic menace, You Huo is such a chaotic menace, they are similar but also different and then put them together and everyone suffers, it's beautiful *wipes tear*. But they are also so so so soft together (i was going to say, in private.... but also in front of people's salad so!!!) *clutches heart*. The author, 木苏里 just does a create job exploring the two throughout the story, READ GLOBAL EXAMINATION! THERE'S ALSO AN ONGOING MANHUA THAT COVERS LIKE A THIRD. DO IT. and then send me liveblogs pls and thanks.
3) H-h-help... ships... are hard... I... don't ...
first ship ever: IzuTotsu (Kusanagi Izumo x Totsuka Tatara) - K Shamelessly links to that post where I sobbed over everything #Actual Marriage Goals The trust! The intuitive understanding! The communication! (sorry Mikoto, your grunting fails you) The ~ G o S s i P i n g ~ ! The mutual support and comfort ;_;! The domesticity of it all! The quipping and doting! The we're all in this (this = Mikoto doom but with matching wing tattoos) together! The seemless division of labor haha
last song you heard: i turned on my playlist when i saw this question so that by the time i finish answering the meme and come back to this question, i will have an answer… Anyways, so the answer is…. ~ wHAT A coINcindENce ~ Dark Night Fireworks, Lucien's season 1 theme from MLQC.
favourite childhood book: Uh........ idk.... Deltora Quest? Alex Rider series? If manga counts then maybe Detective Conan? lmao.
currently reading: I’m Not Shouldering This Blame (这锅我不背) Current novel in my danmei binging spree. 40 chaps in, enjoying it so far. Synopsis gives a pretty good idea of what to expect. Hordes of book transmigrators trying to derail or benefit from knowing the plot, military dealing with the supernatural mess and notifying MC and ML who are supposedly the villains, MC... just trying to work in peace cmon, ML... just trying to seduce MC cmon.
currently watching: Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Just finished it over the last few days hence why there's a few posts in my queue. It’s nice and chill. I admit I was eyeing Himmel the moment he appeared in the first episode and didn't know whether to laugh or cry at his instant transformation / flashforward to old bald man. Was pleasantly surprised to see him appearing constantly in flashbacks haunting the narrative ethereal dead wife style lmao.
currently consuming: I waited for dinner to write this! Was lazy tonight so just a bunch of easy to prep in 5 min sides. Rice, Prawn dumplings, Chilli Bamboo (Fu Chi brand), Century Egg + Tofu + Pork floss, Smashed cucumber salad that I managed to ruin :/
currently craving: A reason to live A shiny new satisfying fandom obsession... Motivation and energy and wisdom to adult... A yakult and WangLaoJi... ... ...... *walks to fridge and grabs yakult and wanglaoji*

A rare meme where I'm gonna actually tag!!! See what ppl are up to and eating these days >:)

Synopsis:- Dealing with your grief after Thanos' defeat leads you one night to the newly rebuilt Avengers Compound and a past you didn't remember.
Pairings:- Vampire!Tony Stark x Female Reader
Total Word Count:- 5,668
Skulking out of the trees and scaling the fence before entering through a service area at the rear of the compound, the tears flowed freely and your heart shattered even more with every step you took, for the place just didn't feel the same as the last time you had set foot here. Rebuilt bigger and better than it had previously been, as a result of Thanos and his army blowing apart every square inch of the place and a fair stretch of the surrounding grounds along with it, it was what had been lost here however that left behind the biggest hole. A hole you now suspected could never truly be healed.
Walking around every newly reconstructed and refurbished room now while the moonlight outside illuminated all the places they no longer occupied, you trudged along the dark and deserted corridors next as your thoughts turned inwards instead to the hole in question and the three heroes who had sacrificed their lives for earth's ultimate victory. Well, two really.
Steve after all, in his infinite wisdom or utter stupidity, had chosen to give up everything he had fought so hard for here in this time to put his feet up and play happy house husband somewhere in the past. And yet, a part of you couldn't even blame him for that decision. Seventy years lost in a block of ice before being thawed out and expected to just throw himself back into the fight once more and surely he deserved to be happy, whatever that looked like. But Natasha and Tony however. Their loss hurt the most and you could see it not only in your own reflection every time you passed by a mirror, but also on the faces of those that had worked alongside them all these years and as a result loved them the most.
Clint for example, retreated home, you suspected, to mourn his friend and be there for his family as his wife gave birth to their third child without the redhead's presence, while at the same time helping his other two children cope with the loss of their beloved Auntie Nat. And then there was Pepper and Happy, who had closed ranks around Stark Industries, Peter Parker and little Morgan and did their utmost to protect all three in a way that would best reflect all the changes that Tony had been trying to make before circumstances and sacrifice had robbed him of the chance to see his legacy blossom.
So where then did that leave you and why were you even here?
After all, being Tony's secretary, you no longer had a place or role here now that the Iron Avenger was no more, but still something didn't sit right with you. And so you found yourself here in the dead of night walking through a building that no longer held any semblance of your former boss with a feeling you couldn't quite explain. But then, this feeling was not a new occurrence either. Beginning just after Thanos had snapped away half of the universe’s inhabitants, you assumed the bloody nightmares, dark images and the ache between your shoulder blades was just your body’s reaction to surviving the horror that all those left behind were forced to deal with now on a daily basis. So why then did something keep telling you that this place held the answer?
Was it perhaps a memory of some lost possession you hoped to recover that would allow you to move on and find some peace in this new world? Was it a premonition perhaps of something dangerous lurking where things were not supposed to lurk? Or was it simply your grief dragging you out of bed and halfway across the city to finally say a quiet goodbye to a man who had come to mean so much to you? Then again maybe it was a mixture of all three. Finding yourself standing now in a dark room three floors beneath the main residence of the compound without any memory of how you got there however simply seemed to confirm that it was more than likely option number two. Something strange and sinister was definitely going on here.
Pulling out your phone now and turning on its torch function to at least provide some illumination for your current surroundings, the lack of a signal distracted you momentarily however as the words of countless heroes echoed in the farthest reaches of your mind and admonished you once more for your total lack of strategic thinking. How many times after all had Clint warned you to always tell someone where you were going and how long you might be? How many conversations had Wanda and Natasha had with you about the dangers inherent in wandering out late at night on your own? Hell, how many times had Thor, Tony, Steve, Bruce and even Loki cautioned you, collectively and individually, of the sinister individuals waiting to ambush any woman who entered deserted building or practically walked down a laneway at all hours without some big strong man latched onto their arm waiting to protect them?
And what had you done with each and every one of these warnings?
Standing here now, wherever here was, you had thrown all of them out the window with the same careless attitude that had forced those heroes to furnish you with those very same warnings in the first place. For you still believed you were invincible. You, a mere mortal as Thor and Loki liked to phrase it, still believed there was nothing in this world that could best you. But perhaps tonight would finally teach you the error of your ways. After all, what chance did you really have when Iron-Man and The Black Widow lay cold and lifeless now in death's embrace where neither man, magic nor science could ever revive them.
Coming back to yourself now and leaving these warnings where they had originated, you next raised the hand holding your phone and shone the light in every direction to get your bearings and perhaps receive a better impression of where exactly you had ended up. But that proved to be one of the worst things you could have done as the weight of your new reality finally hit you.
Turning to face the wall behind you now and the door you had just walked through, your sense of fear increased and a deep panic finally gripped you as the solid structure staring back at you brought a shocking realization down on top of you like a bucket of ice cold water ... for you appeared to be trapped here. Smooth and strong where once a wooden construct had allowed you to enter this unknown location, the wall now present in its place confirmed that something unnatural was unfolding here ... and you it seemed were to be a part of it. But how could that be? You knew nothing of any consequence to anyone and all threats that you were aware of had been eliminated. You were just a lowly secretary letting go of the past in the hopes of moving on towards a simpler future. So how now to leave this place and live to see that new day?
Reaching back through your memories instead now to recall all the other sage advice the heroes had imparted to yourself and others regarding breathing techniques, assessing your surroundings and basically thinking through every possible action before making a move, you now took a moment to do just that since you hadn't done so earlier. Still though, better late than never, right?
Turning around then to face the room proper before placing your back flush against the door that was no longer there, you first took some calm, soothing breaths to ease your nerves and get your panic under control. From there, you then recorded a quick voice message detailing what you had done and where you were before sending it forth to the Avengers group chat. Of course you knew with no cell service it wasn't getting through at this precise moment in time, but you still had hope that things might change in your favor somehow and sooner or later your last, great mistake would be known to someone who just might be able to dig you out of the hole you had managed to find yourself in.
In the meantime, you just had yourself to rely on. Which was exactly where you began.
Placing your left hand on the wall now as your right still held your phone while you checked to make sure the battery at least was still at a sufficient enough percentage to get you through a thorough examination of your current location, you now began a customary walk around the perimeter of the empty room and returning back to where you started discovered the one thing you feared since finding the door mysteriously missing ... there was now no visible way out of here. But there had to be, right? You had walked in here after all and it seemed highly unlikely that a door would just up and vanish all on its own, which left only one possible explanation. Magic?
Loki, Wanda, Strange, Wong, in their world it's not like unexplained things didn't happen all the time. Hell, even Tony had mastered the freaky art of time travel, the T.V.A. could move between timelines and now there was apparently a whole multiverse out there that could be accessed through weird shimmering portals that could appear out of nowhere and disappear just as easily as closing one's eyes. So why then couldn't one of these crazy phenomena be making its appearance here?
But if so, where was it and how could you use it to get yourself the hell out of here?
Zeroing in on this thought now while resigning yourself to the fact that thick, strong walls now surrounded you on four sides, you instead sent your phone's light skyward to see what lay above you, but was not surprised however when the same cold gray concrete as the walls stared back at you in all its immovable glory. There would be no escape that way either it seemed. So all that was left then was the floor beneath your feet. Solid as the walls with every step you took, walking towards the center of the room now while still glancing behind you to check if the door had reappeared somehow, you stopped up short however and let go of all your thoughts of dying in this place as a shimmering purple portal appeared before you out of nowhere. It seemed your theory was correct.
Mesmerized by its presence and reaching out to touch this now unnatural occurrence, you thought better of it however just as your fingertips breached the mysterious liquid-like structure. Recalling the warnings you had ignored earlier as well as everything all that those who wielded magic had ever told you, you now took a few steps backwards instead only to watch in wonder as the your phone once more remained the only source of light when the portal shrunk away to nothing the farther back you walked from it. Moving left and right then, while dancing to and fro in a weird ritual that caused the portal to reappear and disappear in the same spot over and over and over again each time you got close enough or far away, you finally accepted what you knew to be true the second the portal had shimmered into existence before your very eyes. What lay beyond was now your only way out of your current predicament. But should you even go there?
Gazing around the room once more now while simultaneously giving one last glance at your phone to confirm that no signal still remained, you at last gave up on the logical, rational argument that told you to remain here and ventured forwards instead into the unknown and whatever waited for you beyond the portal’s surface.
Closing once more behind you now the second you exited its viscous structure and walked away from it, turning back towards the portal and reaching out to touch where it had been simply confirmed that this was where you were meant to be. For the portal refused to reappear this time as it had previously. Accepting this new development now and focusing instead on this new location, your sense of panic and wonder rose within you equally once more however at the vision you saw before you here. Bathed in hues of purple, indigo, pink and lilac, strange winged creatures broke gracefully through the dark clouds overhead while gnarled and desiccated trees dotted the landscape as far as the eye could see on either side of you. But it was nothing compared to the spectacle that lay before you. Easily visible through a break in the trees, a path clearly marked the way to the towering castle calling out to you in the distance. For that's exactly what appeared to be happening.
Unable to explain why and yet one hundred percent sure that you were completely alone since the flying objects overhead ignored your sudden intrusion, your feet now carried you forwards through the sparse vegetation despite your better judgment until at last you found yourself staring at a sight you didn’t know what to make of. But you knew how it made you feel. Weary now down to your very bones, while knowing that you had nowhere else to go, you swiftly released every profanity you had ever heard and some you were sure never even existed when the rock face before you blocked the path to your destination. Walking around some more then before your eyes finally convinced you that no entrance to the castle existed at ground level, you were just about to ask the deserted landscape how on earth anyone could reach the structure above when the screeching and flapping overhead answered your unspoken question for you. Of course, the occupants within could fly.
Disgruntled even further now after all this night had put you through so far, you would have chosen this moment to give up but your stubborn streak was simply too powerful a force to let you quit. After all, for better or worse there was no going back and your instincts still told you that the castle above held information as to why you couldn’t leave this place. So up it seemed was the only way to go. Grabbing hold of the nearest rock then and pulling yourself forward while your foot found purchase on another rock below, you moved yourself steadily forwards and thanked the stars above that you kept yourself in relatively good shape. Mind you, this ordeal was still taxing given the sheer rise before you and the lack of any supportive equipment in place to prevent you from falling, but as your exhausted body finally found itself at the foot of the steps leading up to the massive wooden doors that would lead you inside the castle and what lay beyond, a sigh of relief was most definitely yours to enjoy. Even if it was short lived.
Taking a moment now to catch your breath and allow the exertion of the climb to work its way out of your limbs, the castle still beckoned you onwards, but surely you knew better than to go in there? Fairytales throughout the history of man after all were littered with stories of foolish women who ventured into places like this and swiftly fell under the thrall of some hideously deformed monster or suffered terribly at the hands of some deranged witch. Of course, growing up these were just stories to entertain children and maybe impart some sage wisdom somewhere along the way. But you knew different. Gazing skyward once more, this place was littered with hideous monsters and you knew from personal experience that witches were real. Magic, monsters, aliens, even beings worshiped as gods existed in this mortal world and on any given day, at any given time, for one reason or none at all they could prove to be every bit the entity that scared children and grown adults away from any behavior society deemed reprehensible. So why should it be any different now?
Looking back at your phone once more to see if the signal reception had somehow improved since entering this desolate landscape and sent your desperate message through, you now knew your fate was truly sealed however, when not even the light that helped you find the portal here remained to guide you now. The battery it seemed had given up and died. And with it your last chance of being rescued. Sighing at this new development now, you then shoved the phone back into the pocket of your jeans before taking one last look at your surroundings and accepting that forwards was still the only way to go whether you'd had a change of heart or not. And so the castle beckoned.
Walking up the steps then and stopping just short of the main doors, you swallowed the lump in your throat, ignored your racing heartbeat and thought briefly about knocking until some little voice in the back of your mind told you to just walk right in. After all, with all the circumstances leading you here what was even the point. So ignoring the foreboding feeling of doom now, as you had all the advice The Avengers had ever given you, you pushed the left door open with as much strength as was needed and walked through to find yourself exactly where you knew you would … in a structure just like all those castles you imagined as a child. Cavernous entryway. Intricate tapestries hanging everywhere. Ornate windows lighting an elaborate staircase winding up to the floor above with rooms leading off to either side of the main entrance.
This place had it all, including what you suspected to be dried blood spatters dotted here and there across the walls and floors if the dark blotches visible to the naked eye were not confused with something else. What you didn't expect it to have however was a feeling of familiarity. A feeling that you had been here before. But such a thing was not possible, right? For starters you would remember being in a dark, lifeless and foreboding place like this. But no such memory existed. And yet something, a haunting thought you couldn't access, a feeling you had long since buried, something told you you possessed some long forgotten connection to this place. But how could that be? After all, your whole life as far as you knew it had been spent in the world you had left behind. This place was the stuff of fantasy, nightmares and bedtime stories.
And yet your natural curiosity propelled you forwards all the same despite the darkness enveloping every inch of this impressive fortress.
Walking through the ground floor of the castle now and finding nothing but the expected living quarters with massive fires, seating arrangements and statues galore, the kitchen and dining areas completed the look you expected, which meant your next adventure would take place upstairs where the bedrooms were bound to be located. But it seemed there was one other surprise waiting up there also.
Reaching the top of the stairs and finding the prominent room in the center locked, you now headed off along the corridor to find exactly what you knew you would. Magnificent bedrooms reminiscent of some ancient times and libraries overflowing with books and couches your aching body now longed to settle into. An activity you were seriously thinking of engaging in when a burst of movement from the corner of your eye caught your attention however ... it seemed you weren't as alone as you had first suspected. Exiting through another set of doors now and sprinting after what looked like a massive set of gray leathery wings, the previously locked room stood open before you now and the scene within shook the very foundations of everything you ever knew about yourself. For the coffin in its center held a sight you could never in a million years hope to comprehend despite all you had seen, heard and lived through in your young life.
Encased before you in glass and sporting the same wings you now knew roamed these very halls, your own face staring back at you with supernatural features couldn't hide the fact that there was something happening here you weren't fully aware of. But did you even want to know. It seemed fate didn't really care about your feelings on the matter one way or the other however as the castle’s other occupant chose that very moment to make its presence known.
"What you see there is what was taken from you. Open the coffin, embrace what you once were and come home," a voice now instructed behind you and though every fiber of your being told you not to turn around, you knew you had no choice. So that's exactly what you did as the shocks just kept on coming.
"Tony? Dear lord, what have you become?" you shockingly asked as your eyes took in his new form now while your arms foolishly reached out for the safety they once knew. But that safety wasn't present here. Powerfully built in a way he wasn't previously and oozing darkness, if his monstrous features and impressive wingspan was anything to go by, the predatory look in his blood-red eyes alone was enough to convince you that this was not the man you once knew despite what still remained of his human characteristics. And that was before he even spoke again.
"Tony, I think not," he scoffed this time as his fingers closed around your outstretched wrists and pushed you backwards towards the coffin as if your current form offended him the same way his did you. But he didn't stop there. "I am a creature without a name. As you once were. Reclaim the form you see before you and with it the memory of everything we once were to each other."
Eyes darting frantically now between the creature that wore your boss's face and the creature in the coffin that wore your own, you beseeched him instead to reveal what he knew, but he was having none of it. Apparently experiencing was the only way you would truly accept whatever secret waited to be discovered here, but something also told you this whole situation was fraught with a danger you didn't yet comprehend. After all, this was indeed some weird supernatural creature that stood before you in Tony Stark's guise and the thing in the coffin, so close to you that it might as well be your identical twin, was at the same time, nothing that belonged in the natural world. Which meant there was probably a very good reason why it and you were separated to begin with. So perhaps things should remain that way.
Holding on to this assumption now and stepping sideways instead away from the creatures that boxed you in, your hand grasping the sword above the fireplace as if on instinct produced an unnatural chuckle to fall from his lips now and if this wasn't enough to shock you into action, the fangs now evident in his smile told you another secret you needed to know. These things were vampires. Not of course the romantic type that still wore their human features and blended naturally into the waking world, but something else entirely that combined the elements of both bats and humans and woke you up fully now to the danger standing before you.
So raising the sword to defend yourself then as the creature moved forward to occupy the space you had just vacated, while at the same time wondering if you were truly fast enough to outrun this fearsome predator, his hand now resting on the coffin distracted you enough however that his words brought your curiosity rushing back to the surface once more.
"That belonged to you too, you know," he uttered now before turning his gaze back fully to you and the sword that now stretched out between both of you as an unnatural extension of your arm. "Forged here in the heart of this kingdom, I presented it to you the night you gave yourself to me. The two of you made quite the team," he finished with a snicker and the implication alone told you many an enemy had fallen to you and this blade even if the memory was somehow lost to you.
And yet, part of you still longed to reclaim this knowledge. But were you brave enough to seek the truth?
Contemplating this now as his eyes still flickered between the metal reaching out between you and the other half of you cloaked in slumber beneath his fingertips, your lips preparing once more to beg him to fill in the blanks never got to make that plea however as his hands moved at a speed you never thought possible and a crashing sound tore all your thoughts of escape apart as the coffin's lid smashed upon the floor and the creature within opened its eyes amidst the chaos now engulfing this once quiet space.
But that was only the beginning of the chaos that would alter your world once more.
Employing the same speed now that had resulted in the coffin lid broken on the floor, the sword disappeared from your outstretched arm just seconds before the creature in the coffin appeared behind you, encircled your body in its powerful arms and wings and plunged its fangs into your waiting neck. Screaming out now at a pain that engulfed every nerve ending throughout your body and never seemed to end, the vampire that bore your resemblance didn't drink from you as you expected however but somehow what happened next was far worse than anything your movies or novels had prepared you for given all that you had heard about such creatures.
Writhing and contorting now in a manner far worse than being eaten alive, two forms somehow knitted back together and became one as image after image bombarded what little sanity remained to you as those forgotten memories hinted at by the Tony Stark vampire returned to you while the creature repaired the parts of you you weren't even aware were ever missing.
Flying throughout the kingdom one evening as a powerful thirst overcame you, the mysterious man you happened upon fell easily under your thrall until your fangs pierced his neck and some otherworldly power you had never felt before sent you flying backwards away from the meal that you thought so easy to claim. But the inconvenience didn't end there. Waving his hands about now and muttering some words you had never before heard spoken in your near eight hundred years of undead existence, you were just about to reach for the trusted sword strapped between your wings when an eerie light enveloped you at the same time a searing pain ripped through every limb, muscle and cell that made up everything you ever were.
Watching then through agony-filled eyes as his sorcery somehow separated you out into the human you had been long ago and the vampire that was feared throughout every home and hovel for miles around in every direction, you closed your eyes and prepared to feel death's kiss at last ... but that reprieve never came. Retaining consciousness just long enough instead to watch the sorcerer who had attacked you run from your lover with the human you had once been, the trauma at last overtook you as your dark angel circled back and landed gracefully beside your ravaged form.
"Rest now my darling, you know my vengeance will not waver until I make you whole again," and lifting you gently from the blood-soaked earth, the memory now blended with those of your human half as the past and the present crashed together and transformed you once more into the single entity that now lay panting before the fireplace as your dark angel watched on with eager eyes to see if the spell had been broken and the transformation would take hold. A transformation he didn't have to wait long to witness.
Rising gingerly off the floor now as your human form tried to adjust to the new structure that now held you in muscles and tendons you barely knew how to operate, your lungs no longer needed air to survive however and the wings sprouting from your back seemed to be the most immediate concern at this stage. It was all just so unreal. Standing still now however and reaching back through your newly restored memories to the night you had given yourself to the creature that remade you in his image, you next took hold of the information buried deep in your cells and used it to get reacquainted with your form as you had back then and now stood tall at the same moment he reached out and took your arm to help orientate you back into a vessel that now seemed far more acceptable to him than the one that had previously stood before him.
But was it acceptable to you?
Gripping his offered arm tighter now to ground yourself back in the present and the body that had been stolen from you, you then stretched out each wing individually first before trying both of them together and reveled in the memory of the freedom they provided as well as the secret they laid bare before you now. For this was the hole that required filling all along and set you on the path that led you here.
Possibly tied now in some mystical way to the disintegration of Stephen Strange and the subsequent battle to restore what Thanos had wrought, it hadn't been the deaths of Natasha Romanoff or Tony Stark that haunted you. Nor had it been the departure of Steve Rogers back to the past love which still seemed to hold sway over some part of him that found you looking for answers to the disembodied voice that whispered out to you every night when you closed your eyes to sleep. No, it had been the loss of this fundamental part of you that you didn't even know had been violently ripped from you to begin with. It was the loss of the being that now stood before you, ready to remind you of the life that both of you had built together and all that you had meant to each other.
Feeling the anger at this assault well up inside you now and embracing it fully in all its terrifying glory, your arms and wings shot out violently smashing everything in sight until a horrible shriek tore from your soul at the same moment another set of powerful limbs took hold of your shaking body and talked you through the worst of your returned trauma. "Easy there darling, the nightmare's over now," he soothed as his lips gently brushed your neck while his wings now circled around your back to embrace you securely in a darkness that echoed the love both of you once felt for each other. A love you were all too ready to reach out for now and rekindle once more. Which is exactly what you did.
Ripping his shirt and pants apart, while reminding yourself to question him later again as to how his transformation didn't already destroy those same garments, both of you then worked around the tattered fabric that clung to both of you to rejoin your bodies in a primal manner that seemed universal to humans, monsters and most animal species known to man. Biting, panting, writhing, moaning and feeding from each other now in a manner far more pleasurable than the one that had restored you to this former state, his essence now spilling within you brought about your own release as the night outside bore witness to your reunion as it first had eight hundred years ago. But still you wanted more.
Squirming against his powerful frame now before finally using your own newly restored strength to create some distance between the two of you, you now leaned forwards, kissed your once and future lover again in a manner meant to convey all the longing that your time apart had caused to fester before rising from the floor and running from him. You then pushed open the double doors leading to the balcony beyond and stretching your wings to their full expanse, you winked at your lover now before leaping forward into the welcoming night sky on wings designed to allow you see the landscape in a way your human side never could.
Flying out across the land then, as you had the night this whole ordeal had first happened, twisting above the ground and swooping now through the clouds brought a joy you hadn't realized had been stolen from you but you knew now you also would never leave yourself so vulnerable again. Returning to the castle next and meeting your lover back on the balcony of the largest tower as he prepared to join you in the night sky, the other creatures roaming the area gathered around cautiously now as what remained of your tattered clothes were swiftly replaced with sword and battle armor in a silent call to arms that told all that saw you what the night ahead now held in store. For if death and depravity had been the staple of your previous existence, with the portal to your enemy's world now seemingly closed forever, the kingdoms beyond your own would feel the thrust of your sword and the kiss of your fangs as retribution for the horror that had been visited upon you by a man your human side no longer considered a friend.

North Blue Language CH 11
“You should call your mom.” Luffy says, simple as that.
The arrival on the ancient elephant's back is met with horror. The gates are broken open wide and the town is destroyed. Luffy has already run off and gotten into a fight. And won. Nami and Chopper are running to them in the hidden village where two minks, Wanda and Carrot, have led them too.
“Where's Sanji?” Luffy asks as Nami closes her arms around the captain and she's crying.
“I'm so sorry, Luffy.” She sobs. “He's gone.”
The world is crashing down around them. The denden on the Sunny is probably ringing off the hook because Zoro gave the number to Sora and Mihawk.
ONLY ALIVE rings through Zoro's ears as Nami continues to sob and cling to their captain.
“What do you mean he's gone?” Luffy asks as he pushes Nami away so slightly to look at her.
“I'm so sorry.” Nami says again and Chopper is crying too in Usopp's arms. Zoro hates that he feels relieved the cook is gone. The cook would hate that he’s making Nami cry. One less burden to carry, Zoro thinks.
The attack on the Minks is explained and it's the beast pirates' fault. Kaido’s fault. They're looking for the samurai but Luffy beat them. They're gone. Fled like cowards. Zoro doesn't pay attention to what happened to the cook, it's a relief, really. The cook is a coward for not fighting back.
“I'm going after Sanji with Nami, Brook, and Chopper.” Luffy tells him as Zoro reads the note.
“He left, Luf. Leave him gone.” Zoro says, handing the note back.
“He's my cook!” Luffy argues, anger flaring. “He's our friend!”
“He's a coward who left!” Zoro argues back and Robin stomps forward and slaps him.
“I hope you don't feel that way when he comes back.” Robin growls at him and Robin is rarely angry but she is now. She's furious.
“Take everyone else to Wano with Law and we'll meet you there.” Luffy says with a finality that Zoro doesn't argue with. They're all leaving and Robin finds him in the Polar Tang. Away from everyone who looks at him with disdain.
“He's not dead.” She says.
“He is to me.” Zoro answers and Robin shakes her head at him.
“You push too much. Try pulling.” Robin says as she walks away. Zoro doesn't fucking get it. It's just the cook.
~*~
“Where is your mother?” Judge asks as Reiju snaps the explosive golden cuffs to his wrist.
“No where you can touch her.” Sanji answers honestly.
“She's dead then? Good.” Judge says as his brothers laugh. She's not dead, Sanji wants to say, she found a man willing to kill and die for her. For him. Sanji stares ahead. They make him change, a red cape with golden attachments to match the bombs attached to his wrists, white shirt, black pants, dress shoes.
He stops a plate from hitting a poor maid. His fiancee is sweet, he'll give her that but he just wants to get back to his crew, to the Sunny and be home. She's sixteen and Sanji feels weird that Big Mom is offering a teenager to be his supposed wife.
He has flashbacks during his beating of a bright blue haired toddler crying as Yonji crushes his heel into his ribs. The cracks and breaks burn under his skin and Ichiji and Niji wail on him. Reiju patches him up like old times.
“Why did you come back? You were free!” Reiju berates him.
“They were threatening my crew. The Baratie, I'm not letting someone die for me.” Sanji answers as the bandages make him look normal. He visits Pudding, she peels them off and soothes him. The next day Luffy is there and Sanji hates this.
“I am Vinsmoke Sanji! Third prince of Germa! Not some low life pirate.” He growls at Luffy hoping Luffy knows he doesn't want to do this as he beats the shit out of his Captain. Yelling at him to use is haki or die. He takes Nami's slap like he deserves and he doesn't cry until he's back in the carriage. He doesn't let them turn around. He will be strong so they are safe.
“I'll starve to death before I leave!” Luffy cries after them. “I'll fucking starve without my cook! I can't be the pirate king without you! Sanji!”
He decides to take Pudding some flowers and properly propose to her. He'll make the best of this decision but-
“We'll kill you all! Your brother is so ugly and gross!” Pudding laughs as Sanji soaks in the rain. He takes the pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and sticks one in his mouth. “You couldn't even bring me a proper prince, maybe then we would let you all live. But you'll all die at the wedding!” She cheers. He can't get his cigarette to light.
“Why are you telling me?” Reiju asks, neutral as always. Never helping but never hindering their brothers when they were children.
“You won't remember.” Pudding shrugs and she stabs Reiju in the legs and Sanji watches her pull film out of Reiju’s head like a camera mushi and Sanji feels ill. He wants to go home.
He runs back, dropping the flowers, dropping the pretences as he rushes back and cooks for Luffy, quick and meaty and filling before stopping by the infirmary. Reiju looks at him and tilts her head. He glares at her.
“We're going to die, Pudding and Big Mom are going to kill us at the wedding.” Sanji snaps at her.
“We have an alliance.” Reiju says, confused and weak as her super healing takes its time apparently.
“No, you don't. I'm going back to my crew and maybe I'll make it out alive.” Sanji bites out. “Thank you for caring for me, but I have a family now.” I have a mother and father I should call, I have a captain who is starving, he thinks as his glare only hardens and she gives one back.
Sanji leaves with a nod as he runs. He runs to the kitchen and whips something half-assed and not worthy of his captain up. He trips and falls and the food is fucked just like it was when he fed his mother. He makes it to Luffy. He looks like Sanji did coming out of that damned dungeon, sunken and sad and starved.
“Sanji!” Luffy says as he rips into the basket to eat. Nami isn't around. He wants to go home and Sanji is crying. “Sanji?”
“I want to go home, Captain. I want to go back to the Sunny and the crew. Please. I want to go home.” Sanji sobs and Luffy is wrapped around him and Sanji is holding him so fucking tight. He doesn't want to let go again, Luffy doesn't either. He can tell by the way Luffy’s heart thrums in his chest and the feeling of belonging Sanji feels in his arms.
“We'll go home, Sanji.” Luffy smiles like he didn't beat the shit out of him, like he didn't abandon the crew.
“I have to save them, even if they don't deserve it, I can't let them die here.” Sanji explains. He thinks of his mother pacing and his dad trying to calm her down. He wants to save them so his mom and dad can deal justice how they see fit. He just wants to see his crew and cook and not be a prisoner anymore.
“So we will.” Luffy shrugs, easy as that. “I don't like it but if it's what you want.”
“Thank you.” Sanji says desperate and pleading.
“You're my cook, Sanji.” Luffy smiles at him. They start heading back to the castle where they'll figure out more and then Luffy will let the others know. “Someone called the denden mushi looking for you. I told them I would go get you.” Luffy says and Sanji whips his head to his Captain.
“Who?” He asks, he didn't give his parents the number.
“Dunno, she sounded angry though.” Luffy shrugs.
“Oh.” Sanji says, looking ahead.
“You should call your mom.” Luffy says, simple as that.
“Her son is dead.” Sanji replies.
“No he's not, Sanji's right here!” Luffy grins at him and hugs him and yeah, he is right here. They break apart with a plan formed, they go through the motions. Sanji does at least as he prepares for his wedding. He's dressed to the nines and is waiting for Luffy while he stands at the altar. Pudding with a gun and a third eye.
“Beautiful.” Sanji breathes and he believes it but he also doesn't want to die.
As he only ever is with his timing Luffy smashes through the cake and the fight is on. Big Mom however goes into a state of mind that makes Sanji recreate the cake recipe down to the hidden notes. He splits from Luffy, again and he hates it. But they get the cake made in a time limit of nine hours, him and Pudding and her family as Luffy fights someone. Katakuri?
That sounds right. Mirror world. Nami is still disappointed in him and he takes a shot for Luffy in the arm as they're escaping. Niji grabs him as Luffy is passed out in his arms and the bloodloss starts to make him light headed.
“Are you still alive, failure?” Niji yells at him.
“Damn you!” Sanji yells back.
Sanji has bruises and broken bones for days. They land on the ship and Niji flies off to continue fighting. Sanji can feel everything twisting and stinging as he moves. How is he still standing? Would his parents be proud? Luffy had just managed to wake up as Germa approaches.
“You're too kind, your weak heart changes to those of lesser status. You care too much.” Judge sneers. There's more but Sanji tunes him out.
“Well duh, that's why he's the best!” Luffy calls after him.
“That's not what he meant!” Sanji snaps to his captain who laughs at him.
“Take this!” Yonji calls as he tosses Sanji a black canister with a bright yellow ‘3’ on it. “And send Mom our regards!”
“Oh she doesn't want them! She's going to come take down Germa!” Sanji promises as Reiju and Niji look at him.
“She's alive?” Ichiji yells, shocked that the failures lived.
“And deadly!” Sanji answers as Reiju tells them to go again and there's an open pathway through the Germa fleet. They escape barely and once the coast is clear, Luffy and Nami are cared for, Sanji collapses on the deck of the Sunny. Blood pouring out of his arm and staining the deck and his suit like the rest of his cuts and stab wounds are. The last thing he remembers is Luffy's haki basically screaming that Sanji is his, that his crew belongs to him and no one will take them again.
The melody of the moon lullaby plays the whole way to Wano by Luffy's request.
~*~
“I'm on my way to get Sanji now.” Strawhat's voice rings through the denden. Mihawk is off to the side, listening in as Sora grips Sanji's poster.
“You have to understand, Germa-” Sora starts.
“I'm gonna kick their ass, don't worry. The Sunny is his home.” Strawhat assures in what could be the worst way for Sora. Mihawk stares at her as her voice cracks.
“I'm trusting you.” Sora shakes out and then hangs up the receiver. Mihawk is wrapped around her and she’s buried into him and sobbing. “I'll kill him.” She gets out.
“Of course.” He's not going to fight her on this, he'll help. Mihawk will do anything for them. “We have to trust Strawhat to get him back to his crew.”
“I'm not worried about him getting back I'm worried about what they'll do to him while they have him!” She yells, stepping away. “We're dead to Germa! To Judge! Why the hell does he want Sanji?”
“We won't know until they call back or the paper comes. Sora, we also have to be wary of the Navy and World Government.” Mihawk says but Sora is shaking her head. Mihawk never wants to control her. “We'll keep them off the island, we can wait as long as we have to.”
“I'll kill them all too.” Sora snaps.
“Well no one is around now.” Mihawk assures her. Perona had left during the Reverie. Moria being found made Perona pack her bags and leave. It's just them in the castle now, empty nesters as Sora had said. Mihawk grabs her hands and pulls her towards him. He's never seen her so angry, truthfully he's never been in love as he is now.
He pulls her into a slow waltz, trying to distract her as their son is missing in Germa. His captain will save him, his captain won't lose another person like he did in the Battle of Marineford. Monkey D. Luffy is stronger than before and willing to take out anyone in his way now. He wonders where Sanji trained and the others. He wants to hear about the two years where he was training, what he learned.
He does his best to keep her distracted. He does. But another week passes when fresh bounties come out and-
VINSMOKE SANJI
330,000,000 BERI
DEAD OR ALIVE
Mihawk thought she was angry before, fury has never looked more beautiful or enticing as it does on his wife. He lets her take it out on him for another week and they seem to have a fantastic time as at least Sanji is alive. He's with his crew. They get to take out Marines on their breaks. All in all it is very fun for the empty nesters, Mihawk thinks.

Buddy Daddies PV3 and PV2 theories (PART 1)
For this theories I'm mainly gonna focus on the second and third PV's of Buddy Daddies. I'll try to include as many pictures as I can to explain myself better. Also, excuse my crappy english, it's not my first language.
Ok, having said that, let's get into it!
I will go in order, so I'll start with this mysterious woman we saw at the end of the most recent episode:
I am pretty sure she is related to Kazuki's wife in some way. Why? Well, first of all, this next episode is going to be Kazuki focused (I'll explain why in a minute), second of all, she knows Kyu and Kyu knows her (her name is Karin). Conclusion: she is a relative of Kazuki's dead wife and the woman who he gives half of his money to, and who sends that money? Kyu.
Now, why do I say the next episode is Kazuki focused? A very simple connection. Before Karin arrives to the cafeteria, we briefly see the outside and something that caught my eye is that the floor is wet, aka, raining season.
And in what other scenes is raining?
Correct, this two. Now, how does this connect?
If this woman is related to Kazuki's wife in someway, it would make sense she's here if it's the anniversary of her death, which brings me to this other scenes:
The photo could be from somewhere else, but it kinda makes sense that it's all connected. Either way, what I would like to focus on is Kazuki doing laundry, he seems down and he is wearing the same green shirt that the previous photo of him with the umbrella.
Also, he's wearing the same clothes in this segment:
Someone mentioned that in that part of the PV he says something about him being the responsible one and doing everything (something along those lines). I think him snapping like this to Miri and Rei makes sense since it's a difficult time of the year for him. Probably this will lead to him leaving the house to visit his wife's grave. And what happens when he's not home?
Rei freaking out because Miri is sick. You can see it's the same episode because he has the same shirt (one that we have never seen before btw). Like Rei is so dense when it comes to this things, it's pretty evident that, without Kazuki home and probably not answering his phone either, he runs to Kyu's cafeteria for help.
Also I think we might get a flashback from Kazuki (I think the image below is from PV 2)
I'm pretty sure we'll have a happy conclusion at the end of the episode, maybe Kazuki coming to terms with his death wife relative (she seems sketchy btw) and also having a nice bonding moment with Rei and Miri, his new family appreciating all his efforts. I cross my fingers for a heartwarming moment 🤞
(I'll continue in part 2 because Tumblr has picture limit).

I am yet to finish season three, just five more episodes to go but please tell me your thoughts on the season. I feel so bad for my girl claire bear. she's the sweetest
okay but do you promise me to save this until after you’re done the season okay I’m taking it that you’re promising me wonderful okay
I am having such an on the One Hand but then on the Other Reaction to the third season
admittedly I did possibly the worst thing you could do for this season of the bear in particular and binged it (badum tssss) and didn’t let it digest properly (BADUM TSSSSS because. Food) when I think I should have paced myself out to maybe watch a couple episodes a week. Now That Said, we live in a hell era where the binging model is king so what are u gonna do
Now That Said, That Said I truly do believe this season was crafted as an exercise in testing patience, it’s challenging you to engage especially from the first episode and subsequent bottle episodes that are a lot of long scenes of dialogue/almost silent montages/single set pieces. I think it’s presented as a mirror to the sluggishness that everyone working at the bear is experiencing as a direct result of Carmy being the worst boss of all time ever
That Said That Said That Said, as much as I love a longggggg dialogue filled scene (the Cassavetes/Altman/mumblecore effect) I found a lot of the dialogue to be… erring on the side of corny I would say? Toeing into “uuuh so THAT just happened” territory, where the fuck yous weren’t sewn in with the same fluidity as the earlier seasons. It sounded a little bit like a MadTV sketch of the bear at times. I don’t think there was intention in that, I think they just lost the run of who these characters were really set up to be from season two at times, save for Carmy
Why are they blue balling us the way they’re writing Claire bear???? There are shimmers of great characterisation then the next scene she’s reduced giving to Dead Wife In Flashback Energy. Molly Gordon deserves better aka to fuck Sydney and I wholeheartedly believe that
There was also absolutely no reason for that many Faks. That stunt casting felt try hard. They had their one great stunt casting streak in season two and they should have left it there. Too many Faks ruin the whatever the fuck it is they’re making in that fuckass kitchen
I also adore and fully support the widely shared take of “if my favourite sandwich shop turned into a hundred-buck-a-plate gourmet joint because some white man with an inferiority complex and undiagnosed mental illness moved back home, I’d throw a brick through the window” because guess what Richie had a point about pushing out the working man, especially with the cost of living skyrocketing
Carmen berzatto poster boy for gentrification? MAYBE!!!!!!
How many of Cicero’s ulcers do you think he’s responsible for

you brought this upon yourself buddy
SO
Q!SLIME
AHGIEUWGFIWEUBFIWPUEF
im only gonna talk about q!slimes lore here so if you want to know more about the qsmp world as a whole just tell me and it would be my pleasure to explain it to you all you need to know is that: people were on a train, the train leads them to quesadilla island, shit happens there is an evil organization and they are stuck here
oh also they have kids
basically, all the people on the island got got paired up (one english speaker with one spanish speaker) and got an egg
this is the egg phil got if you were wondering, his name is chayyane
and this is charlies egg, juanaflippa
charlie got paired up with mariana (mariana is fucking amazing btw i could also talk about him for hours)
now about flippa: shes canonically a trans girl, shes allergic to bees, grass, detergent, and fish and probably more stuff that i forgot, has a gun and shes a very sweet kid she deserves the world now slime and mariana weren't the most healthy couple. Charlie calls Slime “bitch wife” and mariana has been caught flirting with other men but they do both very much care for each other and they also VERY much care for flippa
i should also mention that the egg have two lives. If both lives are lost the egg dies forever
now everything is fine and dandy till flippa has her first death her first death was because of neglect
you see, if an eggs parents don't do tasks with their egg (ex of tasks are: reading a book to them, drawing with them, cooking something for the egg, etc) and, because mariana and slime didn't log that much on the server at first, flippa lost a life both slime and mariana were fucking desrtoyed and logged in regulary after that to make sure flippa didn't lose any more lives
also slime made a deal to the devil, yes the actual devil that is canon to the qsmp, in order to get a gun for flippa. the deal was that he had to kill chayanne (phils egg) and flippa would get the gun and slime did it!!
later when phil when to kill charlie, flippa shot him dead :]
happy times pass until
untill flippa loses her secod life So when the eggs go to bed they have very cute custom made bed skins?textures? idk but they are very cute here's an example of flippa in bed
very cute
so while mariana was watching over flippa while she slept, he did something that is still remembered by the qsmp fans and gives us and the cc war flashbacks everytime its mentioned he misclicked while having and axe in hand he clicked on flippas bead and broke it and both flippa and the bed disappeared people started freking out everyone thought flippa was dead and one of the most insane qsmp events happened the trial
slime accused mariana of intentionally killing flippa and took mariana to court (slime also maybe talked about killing all the eggs but thats not important rn) the trial is probably my favorite qsmp stream and even if you don't plan on getting into the qsmp i suggest you watch slims pov of it its genuinely so great
to make a long story short, the trialhappens and flippa gets reserected hurrayyyy
all is well everyone is happy things are great until flippa dies a third time mariana and flippa were exploring a dungeon and they got swarmed by mobs and while trying to kill the mobs around them, he accidentally killed flippa
so flippa dies. she isnt coming back and slime may have gone a bit crazy he was/is consumed by grief he went into exile and lives thousands of blocks away from everyone. he tried to kill everyones elses egg but failed and even tho he stopped wanted to kill them and now lives them as a uncle, he still gets sad when he sees the parents and their kids together hes kinda stuck in limbo, he tries to get better and make progress and heal, but his grief still holds him back a lot
also maybe he turned into a green egg named gegg and maybe there is a monster that is impersonating flippa but my fingers are screaming in pain rn lmao so thats all ill say for now
if you do want to learn about gegg and codeflippa and maybe bolas please just tell me and i will happily come back to info dump some more :]
You know I absolutely lost it at the part where they gave the egg a gun - wnjdjwndjw I love the insanity of that all gosh. This is kinda as much as I was expecting cus I did know some stuff about the eggs- but I am enjoying the combination of angst and absurdity.

supernatural s8e5 blood brother (w. ben edlund)
let's see what sort of bad takes i can have today!
SAM I don't know, Dean. I mean, you did try to kill his mother. DEAN I was trying to kill Crowley, okay? Who happened to be wearing Kevin's mother at the time. Well, there's a difference. SAM Apparently not to Kevin. Oh, I know. Maybe because – oh, yeah – it's his mother.
i'm here for the bickering but not whatever replacement-wife-dog drama is actually going on underneath
benny feeling like ruby 3.0 (meg briefly held 2.0)
DEAN Hey, the trail is dead, but the room is paid for. You got some research to do, and I got some personal crap I got to take care of. That's all. SAM What does that mean – "personal"? DEAN Did you have a stroke? Vocabulary? Personal, as in my own grown-up personal – I don't know – crap. SAM Damn it – DEAN What, Sam? Last I counted, you took a year off from the job. I need a day.
the affront at dean having something private, which they're the ones that have surrendered their privacy in order to be insane about each other, and when they start hiding things everything goes to shit. sigh
objectively, i can only imagine the bond dean would have made with benny after being basically in war with him for a year without breaks. like lifetime, cumulatively, spent time in the trenches fighting with sam even might be less than the amount of time they're telling us he and benny were killin stuff together, so i'm gonna give that.
of course doesn't deal with the conflict caused by failure to communicate with sam which truly is evergreen
BENNY Oh, your work here is done, Dean. You already saved the day. You know, I got my, uh, deal, and you got – what'd you call it? A family business?
yes, that's it. family business!
CASTIEL Well, I think we're clear for the moment. It does present a curious curl in the metaphysics, doesn't it? If you murder a monster in monster heaven, where does it go?
great minds
DEAN Listen to me, you undead blood junkie, I'm the one with the mojo. I'm the one with the plan. Cas... we're gonna shove your ass back through the eye of that needle if it kills all three of us. BENNY Obviously, I'm less than comfortable with that.
fair, benny, fair
these prompts for sam's little flashbacks are so goofy. i am going to sit outside and use my laptop boop boop. oh, an ice machine..... 🎶 memory, all alone in the moonlight 🎶
remember when it was cheerfully bright while also a little hazy, and i had a dog? and i fixed things for a living? and was normal?? dreamy
BENNY Boarded, burned, and buried at sea. My nest – that's how we fed… How we always fed. We kept a tight little fleet, maybe a half-dozen boats. Nothing ostentatious, just pleasure craft. I must have circled the Americas ten times during my tour. A few of us would act as stringers and patrol the harbors, looking for the right-size target – fat, rich yachts going to far-off ports.
they said eat the rich 💁
DEAN Vampire pirates? That's what you guys are? Vampirates. BENNY You know, all the years we ran together, I can't believe nobody ever thought of that. DEAN What do you mean? It's like the third thing you say. BENNY No, it isn't.
dean bringing the awkward as ever
BENNY Anyway…our father – he was a jealous god. He kept the family together but kept us apart from the rest of the world, always at sea. I always did what was best for the nest… till I met her.
fits right in with the family, daddy issues all around
deleting the text before sending it to sam 😔 so close and yet so far
hey, benny's lady was in the expanse
the expanse s1e6 rock bottom - athena karkanis as octavia muss
SAM A friend? Dean, you don't have any – all your friends are dead. DEAN That's not what I called to talk about!
they're kind of hamming it up but it's just sad. everything about this
SAM (on phone) I get the separate-lives thing, but this is a hunting thing, and we need to find that line –
separate lives since when
BENNY’S MAKER But she meant everything to you. If that's all I could salvage from my wayward son – the woman he defied his maker for – I wanted someone to remember you by.
lol wayward son
AMELIA You come from nowhere, you appear to be going nowhere, and you've, quote, "seen a lot of stitches." It's all pretty solid creepy.
that was cute but there's something about how she's playing this that gives me strong natalie portman in garden state vibes? is she manic pixie dream girling? it's weirding me out.
AMELIA I used to – have someone, I mean. But that's over now. It's gone. You know what that's like, don't you?
maybe so!!
and now sam's freakin out because dean's in trouble and he's not there to help, so is this when he learns the lesson that he actually does want to stay with dean? since the almost-heart-ripped-out incident wasn't enough. oh, not if benny and dean take care of things and sam's got no saving the day to do. may get to hear the 'go hunt with benny instead' argument after all
music swells after dean kills benny's monster lady, okay. benny sounding ready to die, okay.. flashback meteors of black goo shapeshift into dumbass leviathan okaayyy
that was a nice effect with the little slowmo going for a weapon, dean shaking his head, situation defused
BENNY I can see you two have a lot to talk about.
dean's in troouuble. if you want sam to stay with you, you can't be hiding stuff, man.

Memory Man (short film, 2019)
It's award-winning! And deservedly so. This one's just really good guys, go and watch it rather than experiencing it second hand through my screen shots, go on, it's right here on YouTube:
youtube
(warning for some blood and gore, heavily stylised, and violence against women, upsetting themes etc)
Dystopian future setting - the TV reporter is American.
He receives a visitor but checks activity outside his room after the guy goes in. Everyone looks paranoid and wary as you'd expect in a dystopian future.
His visitor takes a look at the cracked photo of him and a lady in happier times, but puts it back in a hurry when he returns
I'm predictable, so got a bit uhh mentally derailed by the fingering of the telepathic jelly or whatever this is
I mean the camera lingered. You could hear it. *throws up hands and quits making excuses* look at his fingers ok I have nothing to apologise for shut up
Is he giving him visions of sex or taking them away or....secret third thing
The visitor/client needs to get back to his wife, who's name he briefly forgot, so money's on Memory Man taking away the memory of a one night stand/prostitute?
Oh how nice, he's going to introduce himself to us :) in his own accent despite the US TV
"They call me The Memory Man. A backstreet telepath of sorts. Extracting memories for cash so another lowlife can crawl back to his wife with a clearer conscience. Infidelities. Painful recollections. Criminality. Makes no difference to me. I take away anything they'd rather forget."
PLEASE give me a clearer shot of the glasses please
"It's not without risk. Extraction of chemical stimuli from neural networks can result in irreversible damage to the cerebral cortex. They're the lucky ones. I have to carry everyone else's junk mixed in with my own painful memories."
Flashback to yelling at his wife while she sobs and says she's trying to help
"This isn't you!"
"Get the fuck out of my life!"
A knock at the door...
A guy who's 'a little jumpy' (being followed?).
"How much?"
"Depends how much I need to extract."
"I need to beat that polygraph...so there's stuff I need you to take out. But I'm gonna need it back later."
Although Memory Man says it might not be easy, ya boy is quite insistent he'll need it back.
One of the women in the screaming horrors of the vision looked like his wife?
....yeah he dives back in for more memories
"That's when I realised exactly what I needed to do."
Revenge!
He dumps all the horrible memories he's accumulated into the murderer's brain, and the murderer can't handle it.
And he walks away, knowing he can now manage his own pain in the future :')
---
Rating
Dead? Nope!
Evil? Not at all - your common or garden sci-fi dystopia anti-hero lone wolf tortured soul with a Sad because of a woman and a power that Burdens him
Affects the plot? Yesssssssss! And boy how
Despite my flippant description of the genre trope (come on, tell me I'm wrong), this is really good. It looks lush, the script is tight, and it does everything it needs to do in ten minutes. You could make a great series of graphic novels about the Memory Man in the vein of The Sandman, going from story to story/person to person. I really enjoyed the setting, there was plenty for Joplin to do and he did it well. 5/5.

I remember a Kung Fu Movie that I was never able to find again.
It was about a former bandit. whom him and his adopted siblings had been raised by an infamous criminal and martial arts master to be his soldiers. each one with a necklace that symbolized their loyalty towards him.
He was the third best of his siblings, and the one in charge of their group. But now he was fighting against them, seeking to kill his adoptive father while accompanied by a silly stranger who kept reffering to him as friend and who was weirdly interested in his story.
That is when we cut to a flashback, where we learn there was one time when he was badly injured and had needed to escape to survive, and his family of bandits assumed he had died. But he was saved by a kind family that helped him heal. Among them there were two woman. One of them fell in love with him while the other one was pregnant and waiting for her husband's return.
One he was healed, he left the family and returned home to continue serving his father. But he kept meeting with this young woman, whom his siblings teased as having found a girlfriend.
It all came crashing down when their father announced he had located an old enemy of him: the person that had captured and sent him to prison for years. And they were going to raid and kill everyone in his household.
I think you can guess what family that was.
Despite his efforts, the family had died, including the pregnant woman. but not the Husband, who had not returned yet so he had been spared.
As such, he rebelled against his family and swore to kill his father. After which he would find the Husband and be killed by his hand, as a form of atonement.
After taking down most of his siblings, The Protagonist and his Friend went to the fortress, were the two strongest siblings and his father were waiting. In this final fight it is revealed that the Stranger was, in fact, the Husband who had come seeking revenge for his dead family and tagged along with the protagonist with the plan to kill him when it all was over.
After much effort, they finally kill The Father and the protagonist is ready to finish it all off, but the Husband says "there are no Enemies left" and begins to walk away.
So the Protaognist attacks his friend, but only to force him to give him a lethal injury. Because, as he explained "it is the only way your wife will be able to rest in peace"
And thus the story ends, the Husband the only surviving person in this whole tragedy.
And the only thing I can even remember about the name of the movie is that the TV said it had the name of a bird.
Pour one out for all the stories you'll never find again, that you barely remember in totality, but that left an impression on you that you'll never forget.
The short stories from standardized tests that you only had a few minutes to read, but those minutes will last a lifetime.
The books on the library display shelf you used to occupy time until your mom could come pick you up from school.
The graphic novel you picked up when you were first getting into comics and could never find again.
The single lines or themes from stories you otherwise don't remember, save for the one thing that you saw and internalized as a new part of your personality.
Let's pour one out for the books that built us, even if we never could find them again, and couldn't of we wanted to.

who are ur favourite characters so far? who do you not like so far?
when you write fanfic, who will it be about? who will read about? who will you not read about? is there anyone you really hate? is there anything you really want to see happen to certain characters?
essays, please
omg anon thank you I WANTED TO INFODUMP SO BAD!!!!!
okay okay I might finish s1 today, but since I'm on ep 21 of it, lets go with that:
I looove charlie, hurley and locke. I also like sawyer, but I'll talk about him in depth later. charlie and hurley remind me of bill & ted, and I love how hurley is just both close to being the most insane person in the island (after the numbers reveal) next to locke, but he's also the sanest one!! he's giving us VARIETY!! I like charlie because I've struggled with addiction myself and I do understand most of his erratic behavior (especially after he went through the worst part of abstinence), and he's just trying his best, truly
locke is....a guy? for sure? I don't know whats going on with him he's like that meme that goes "source? the voices told me" he also needs to stop adopting random people in the island I mean BOONE??? rip thot it up in heaven. also the kidney shit was FOUL locke you should have commited murder for that
an special mention to sayid and rousseau, they're great
I do not like... sawyer. it's complicated. I love him I absolutely love him he's my babygirl and my wife, but he needs to be struck by lighting QUICK so he can realize the shit going on in the island. locke should definitely give him his own 'third eye opening' moment just like charlie and boone had one, I would love for that to happen
I also don't like shannon— she's cunty and all that, but I haven't managed to connect with her character outside of sometimes saying "yeah, slay, shes on her brat summer". I hope her character development brings her somewhere where I can connect, but so far I couldn't care less about her (and the incest subplot with boone made me like her much less, I also dislike boone for it... I just think that not being blood related doesn't excuse anything. a family is not always determined by blood.)
I dislike jin but because I'm extremely confused about him. he's a big interrogation sign to me and EVERYONE, like no matter how many damn flashbacks I see of his life... why the hell where you telling your wife to cover up and shit?? you guys are in the middle of nowhere. Let your woman LIVE. the flashbacks are trying to tell me that he's acting like this 'for a reason', and sure, I understood if you were an asshole to anyone else, but to your wife? the woman you're doing this for? being all aggressive is gonna drive things nowhere. idk.
when it comes to fanfic... I'd probably love to dabble in writing jack x sawyer because I hate how the show says 'love triangle' and it's not a triangle... yeah both guys are interested in kate, but if you don't make jack and sawyer interested in eachother too, it's just a love arrow. so that's the first thing: jack x sawyer to develop that part of the triangle
second thing, probably More charlie x hurley. brotp or otp I like both ideas since they remind me of bill & ted in a way (which were gay but also totally best friends) and some wacky brotp adventures between hurley and sawyer?
third thing would be just fics of sayid being an insane super smart guy, probably working together with locke to build something. I would love for that to happen in canon? but I think right now sayid just wants locke dead, and that's sad because their joint slay would be #insane.
I've read like two fics so far, I think one was jack x sawyer and the other one was sawyer x sayid x charlie (super rare combination but I fucked with it?) I think I would read claire x charlie too, but since it's canon and stuff (to me, so far) I feel like I don't have a need to read anything to fill any void, the show gives me it all. anywayyyy, I think everyone on the island has a bit of chemistry with eachother and I'm aegoace + aegoromantic, so I'm attracted to men which means I would probably eat up any mxm pairing (poly or not) I've thought about sawyer x sayid but I feel like they would hatefuck and then forget about it. idk if that would make them worse or better
also I need locke to just share his divine madness with More People in the island I think. I need him to tell sayid about the hatch, I need him to tell jack about the statues of the virgin mary, I need jack to be struck by lighting to properly realize this island is FUCKING WEEEIRD. I need hurley to have another big badass moment with the numbers thing, I need More of hurley being the only person sawyer won't argue with (or argue too much with). I need sun and michael to become closer, for sun to maybe play with walt one day or play the babysitter role once more but speaking english with him now!! I need also more sawyer and walt interactions— hear me out, the one interaction they've had so far was hilarious. just a sassy little kid putting that asshole in his place. Please walt should be allowed to throw rocks at sawyer
Kate needs to kiss women also I need her to be a lil sapphic okay like I dont care how or with who just be a little gay please THE LESBIANS NEED YOU KATE AUSTEN!!!!
I also hope jin and shannon die too......yeah strong statements but I've said it before.... idgaf about them (so far)
also unrelated to any of the questions, but charlie n hurley have big transmasc vibes 🙂↕️🙏 they look like every trans guy I've ever met it's INSANE to me. jack is also a little trans coded... just a little. like he's got a smidge of transgenderism inside him. he did his own DIY top surgery idgaf. also unrelated x2 but walt would love skibidi toilet :/ I'm so sad he wasn't here in 2024 for it 💔 and locke would be an amazing cult leader he would eat that cult leading shit UP !!! I would join his cult 100%
tytyty anon for this ask!!!!!
#lost#ask#I basically love everyone#sawyer hurley charlie locke supreme bbgs tho#walt is also my son btw#michael is soooo#kate be a lesbian#yeah#ANON THANK YOU AGAIN FOR THIS ASK I WAS VERY EXCITED TO ANSWER

Silent Hill researching part 1
Silent Hill is a 1999 survival horror game developed by Team Silent, a group in Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo and published by Konami. The first installment in the video game series Silent Hill, the game was released exclusively for the PlayStation. Silent Hill uses a third-person view, with real-time rendering of 3D environments. To mitigate limitations of the console hardware, developers used fog and darkness to muddle the graphics and the pop-ins, which in return helped set up the atmosphere and mystery of the game. Unlike earlier survival horror games that focused on protagonists with combat training, the player character of Silent Hill is an "everyman".
The objective of the player is to guide main protagonist and player character Harry Mason through a monster-filled town as he searches for his lost daughter, Cheryl. Silent Hill's gameplay consists of combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving.
This is a change from older survival horror games, which constantly shifted through a variety of camera angles with the use of pre-rendered backgrounds. Because Silent Hill has no heads-up display, the player must consult a separate menu to check Harry's "health". If a DualShock controller is used, a heart beat rhythm can be felt signifying that the player is at low health.
Harry confronts monsters in each area with both melee weapons and firearms. An ordinary man, Harry cannot sustain many blows from enemies, and gasps for breath after sprinting. His inexperience in handling firearms means that his aim, and therefore the player's targeting of enemies, is often unsteady. A portable radio collected early in the game alerts Harry to the presence of nearby creatures with bursts of static, although players can choose to turn off the radio if they want.
Plot
Silent Hill opens with a flashback, showing Harry Mason and his wife finding an abandoned child in a casket. It jumps forward to show Harry Mason driving to the town of Silent Hill with his adopted daughter Cheryl for a vacation. Along the way he sees a police officer driving towards the town also.
At the town's edge, he swerves to avoid hitting a girl in the road, and as a result, he crashes and loses consciousness. Waking up in town, Cheryl is missing and Harry sets out to look for her. Silent Hill is deserted and foggy, with snow falling out of season. He follows Cheryl through the fog but experiences bouts of unconsciousness, as well as encounters with hostile creatures. Harry witnesses his reality change to a dark metallic rusty environment and passes out.
As he wakes up he meets Cybil Bennett, the same police officer from earlier who came from the neighboring town to investigate the mysterious occurrences. She gives Harry a gun before leaving. Harry finds a clue that Cheryl is at the local school. Investigating it, he is transported back to the "otherworld" and has to defeat a creature before returning to the normal world. As Harry leaves the school, he hears bells ringing and follows it to an old church.
There he meets Dahlia Gillespie, a cultist. She gifts him the Flauros, a charm which she claims can counteract the darkness spreading through the town. Harry leaves the church and investigates the hospital.
There he encounters its director, Dr. Michael Kaufmann, who is bewildered by the sudden changes in the town, and discovers a frightened, amnesiac nurse, Lisa Garland, hiding in one of the rooms. While investigating the hospital, Harry begins to question his own existence, whether or not he is already dead and everything is taking place in his head. Harry asks Lisa to come with him but she tells him she feels like she has to stay in the hospital.
Harry can later rescue Kaufmann from a monster, discover evidence of his role in local drug trafficking, and stumble upon his hidden bottle of aglaophotis, a supernatural liquid that can exorcise demons. Harry meets Cybil again and comes to believe that a darkness is transforming the town into someone's nightmare, which is why the inhabitants have mostly disappeared. Cybil says that Dahlia must be on drugs. Dahlia urges him to stop "the demon" responsible for it—the girl in the road who appears to him sporadically—or Cheryl will die.
Endings
Five different endings are available, dependent on the player's previous actions:
In the "Bad" ending, the deity merges with Alessa and electrocutes Dahlia before attacking Harry. He defeats it, and Cheryl's voice thanks him for freeing her. Overcome by grief, Harry collapses, and the next scene is that of his corpse in his wrecked car, implying that the entire game was a dying dream.
The "Bad +" ending concludes with Harry defeating the deity, and Cheryl thanking him as she dies. Harry falls to his knees because he could not save his daughter. Cybil goes to Harry and slaps some sense back into him, tell him they must flee. The two stand in silence as fire falls from the sky.
In the "Good" ending, Kaufmann, now feeling betrayed by Dahlia, demands that she restore the town to normal and uses aglaophotis to exorcise the deity out of Alessa. Harry defeats the deity, and Alessa gives him an infant, the reincarnation of herself and Cheryl. She helps him escape from her nightmare realm before dying. Kaufmann is dragged away by Lisa.
The "Good +" ending is very similar to the "Good", except Harry escapes with both Cybil and the baby. In both "Good" endings, a bloody and vengeful Lisa prevents Kaufmann from escaping with Harry.
The "Joke" ending features extraterrestrials abducting Harry.
Development
Design
Development of Silent Hill started in September 1996. The game was created by Team Silent, a group of staff members within the Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo studio. Konami sought to produce a game that would be successful in the United States. For this reason, a Hollywood-like atmosphere was used for Silent Hill. According to composer Akira Yamaoka, the developers did not know how to proceed with the Silent Hill project, either. As the time passed, the personnel and management of Konami lost their faith in the game, and the members of Team Silent increasingly felt like outsiders. Despite the profit-oriented approach of the parent company, however, the developers of Silent Hill had much artistic freedom because the game was still produced as in the era of lower-budget 2D titles.
The localization company Latina International translated the script into English. The town of Silent Hill is an interpretation of a small American community as imagined by the Japanese team. It was based on Western literature and films, as well as on depictions of American towns in European and Russian culture.
Sato estimated the game's budget was lower than the cost of Japan's biggest games at the time. He said the development team intended to make Silent Hill a masterpiece rather than a traditional sales-oriented game, and that they opted for an engaging story, which would persist over time—similar to successful literature.
The names and designs of some Silent Hill creatures and puzzles are based on books enjoyed by the character of Alessa, including The Lost World by Arthur Conan Doyle and Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The game contains several real-life references, particularly in characters' names. Cheryl Mason's first name is based on actress Sheryl Lee's first name, and Lisa Garland's surname is taken from actress Judy Garland
Music
The soundtrack for Silent Hill was composed by sound director Akira Yamaoka, who requested to join the development staff after the original musician had left. In addition to the music, he was in charge of tasks such as sound effect creation and audio mastering. Yamaoka did not watch game scenes, but created the music independently from its visuals. The style of his compositions was influenced by Twin Peaks composer Angelo Badalamenti.
Silent Hill 2
Development of Silent Hill 2 began in June 1999, soon after Silent Hill had been completed. Its narrative was inspired by the Russian novel Crime and Punishment (1866) by Fyodor Dostoevsky, and some of the influences on the game's artistic style include the work of film directors David Lynch and Adrian Lyne (specifically Jacob's Ladder), and paintings by Francis Bacon and Andrew Wyeth; cultural references to history, films and literature can be found in the game.
The objective of Silent Hill 2 is to guide the player character, James Sunderland, through the monster-filled town of Silent Hill as he searches for his deceased wife. The game features a third-person view, with various camera angles. The default control for Silent Hill 2 has James moving in the direction that he is facing when the player tilts the analogue stick upwards, although players can choose a more traditional control scheme
Much of the gameplay consists of navigating the town and finding keys or other items to bypass doors or other obstructions, with less focus on killing enemies. Occasionally, puzzles will be presented, often with riddles left for the player to interpret. The difficulty levels of the enemies and the puzzles are determined independently by the player before starting the game. James keeps a radio with him, which alerts him to the presence of creatures by emitting static, allowing him to detect them even through the thick fog or darkness. Similar to the first game, the play can choose to turn off the radio if they want.
Plot
Setting
While not focusing on the characters and plot threads of the first Silent Hill game, Silent Hill 2 takes place in the series' namesake town, located in Maine. Silent Hill 2 is set in another area of the town, and explores some of Silent Hill's backstory. As opposed to the first game where the monsters and environments were a real manifestation, and everybody could see what was happening, this time the town draws upon the psyche of its visitors and ultimately forms alternative versions of itself, which differs depending on the character; thus, Silent Hill 2 acts as more of an internal representation of a person's guilt or demons.
Storylines
The game's main storyline follows a character named James Sunderland. Later editions of the game include a second storyline titled "Born from a Wish", which follows a character named Maria. In editions which include "Born from a Wish", the original storyline is titled "Letter from Silent Heaven".
Letter from Silent Heaven
James Sunderland (Guy Cihi) comes to Silent Hill after apparently receiving a letter from his wife Mary (Monica Taylor Horgan), who had been suffering from an illness and died three years before. While exploring the town, he encounters Angela Orosco (Donna Burke), a 19 year old runaway searching for her mother; Eddie Dombrowski (David Schaufele), another teenage runaway; and Laura (Jacquelyn Brekenridge), a brattish eight-year-old who befriended Mary and accuses James of not truly loving her. While making his way through an apartment complex, he also runs into an indestructible creature known as Pyramid Head.
While searching a local park, James also meets Maria (Horgan), a woman who strongly resembles Mary but has a much more assertive and sexual personality. Maria claims that she has never met or seen Mary, and because she is frightened by the monsters, James allows her to follow him. Arriving at a bowling alley, Eddie and Laura are found inside, but Laura runs off.
Arriving at a bowling alley, Eddie and Laura are found inside, but Laura runs off.
Following Laura to a hospital and searching for her there at Maria's insistence, James and Maria are ambushed by the monster Pyramid Head, and Maria is killed while James escapes. Afterwards, James resolves to search the hotel that he and Mary stayed at during their vacation. On the way, he is surprised to find Maria alive and unharmed in a locked room. She claims ignorance of their previous encounter and begins discussing elements of James' and Mary's past that only Mary would know.
James sets off to find a way to free Maria but returns to find her dead again. Later on, he rescues Angela from a monster, after which she reveals that her father and brother has raped her as a child, and that her mother allowed it to happen as a way of punishing her; a nearby newspaper clipping implies that she killed her father before coming to Silent Hill. Angela confronts James about his wife, accusing him of not loving her and that he was called to the town of Silent Hill for a reason.
At the hotel, James locates a videotape which depicts him euthanising his dying wife by smothering her with a pillow. In another room, a final meeting in a burning staircase with Angela sees her giving up on life, unable to cope with her trauma. She thanks James for saving her, but wished that he didn't as she feels she herself deserved the sexual abuse as a child. She then walks into a fire and is never seen again, commenting her world is always like this. Afterwards, James encounters two Pyramid Heads, along with Maria, who is killed another time. He comes to realize that Pyramid Head was created because he needed someone to punish him, and all the monsters are manifestations of his psyche. The envelope from Mary disappears and both Pyramid Heads commit suicide. James heads to the hotel's rooftop, and depending on choices made by the player throughout the game, he encounters either a manifestation of Mary or Maria disguised as her.
Born from a Wish
Born from a Wish is a side-story scenario in the special editions and re-releases of the game in which the player takes control of Maria shortly before she and James meet at Silent Hill. After waking up in the town with a gun and contemplating suicide, she decides to try to find someone. She eventually encounters a local mansion, where she hears the voice of its owner, Ernest Baldwin (Ward Sexton). Ernest refuses to let Maria into the room he is in and will only talk to her through its closed door. After Maria completes tasks for him, Ernest warns her about James, whom he describes as a "bad man". After Maria opens the door to Ernest's room and finds it empty, she leaves the mansion. At the conclusion of the scenario, Maria contemplates suicide once more, but ultimately resolves to find James.
Themes and analysis
Some of the more apparent themes of the narrative are grief, guilt, and punishment. Other noticeable themes in Silent Hill 2 are mental illness, lust, love and abuse, including an exploration of how it affects people.
A prominent focus of analysis is the symbolism of the monsters present in the game, which seem to be manifested from James' guilty consciousness. One major example of this manifestation of guilt is "Pyramid Head", a tall, masculine, faceless humanoid figure, whose head is concealed by a large pyramid-shaped helmet that is made of rusted iron. Pyramid Head also wields a large blade titled the "Great Knife" that it heaves across the floor in almost all player encounters. Its design not only serves to psychologically frighten the player, as the sharp edges of the triangular head were intentionally illustrated to "suggest the possibility of pain" according to its creator Masahiro Ito, but it is also emblematic of many of the themes related to the narrative, as it represents the guilt that James experienced, the retribution he seeks for his actions, and the sexual frustration that he felt while his late wife, Mary, was terminally ill.
I inspired by this game is for the ideas of hallucinating, that the monsters in the game is inspired of sins and deeds, that the main characters causes and he tries to fixed it but never works at all.

Text
Fate of a Man is a 1959 war drama film directed by Sergei Bondarchuk. It is an adaptation of a short story by Mikhail Sholokhov.
Synopsis: The film is told in flashback as the main character, Andrei Sokolov, recounts his life story to an old man in the spring of 1946. Born in 1900 in a village in Voronezh, he flees elsewhere to survive the Russian Famine of 1921-2, then returns to find his whole family dead. While working as a carpenter he meets and falls in love with a young woman, and they begin a family together. For 17 years they live happily, until Germany invades the Soviet Union in 1941, starting the Great Patriotic War. Andrei enlists and his wife tearfully prophesies “We shall never meet again in this world” as they are saying their last goodbyes, and Andrei angrily pushes her away. Andrei is captured along with his unit and housed in a ruined church for time, then forced to march to a prison camp. After a remark he makes angers the commanding officer of the camp the officer calls him in and tells him he will shoot him, but offers him a final drink of vodka first. Andrei drinks the whole glass in one go and refuses a chaser, so the officer gives him a second glass, which Andrei drinks in one go. A third glass he drinks without chaser also, and the officer is so impressed he spares Andrei’s life. After Germany’s invasion of Stalingrad fails the Russian POWs are no longer seen as disposable and are treated marginally better. Andrei is assigned chauffeur to another German officer and does his work diligently for a time, then kidnaps his officer and drives into Russian territory, where he turns over the German officer’s briefcase to the commanding Russian officer. Malnourished, Andrei is rewarded for his bravery by being sent home to Voronezh to recover, only to find his entire street bombed into nothing, along with his wife and daughters. Only his son survived, who was working in a factory, and he later enlisted in the army. Heartbroken over the loss of his wife and daughters, Andrei pins his remaining hopes on marrying off his son after the war and caring for his grandchildren, but his son, who becomes a decorated hero, is killed just before the end of WWII. Devastated, Andrei takes up work as a truck driver in faraway parts of Russia, working in Uryupinsk, where he gets to know an orphaned young boy, whose father died in action and whose mother died in a bombing raid. Andrei decides to tell the boy that he is his father and adopts the boy, thereby giving new hope to the both of them. But, he tells the old man, he’s started having heart trouble, and he’s not sure if he’ll see the boy reach adulthood.
Review: The film is good, although old-fashioned. It feels a lot like American WWII films made in the postwar period in terms of subject matter, and the scriptwriting and directing have a very Golden Age Hollywood feel to them, nothing like the newly-emergent modern cinema of the day. The main character suffers much hardship but escapes from several dire situations through sheer strength, heroicness, and gumption, which is typical of old films but may leave modern viewers rolling their eyes. The story is touching, admittedly. Overall whether I’d recommend this film depends on whether you like old movies and their conventions and clichés or not. If you like classic cinema then this film will be right up your alley, and you can watch it on YouTube here.
