does anyone know of or have any leads on where I can look for information/advice/help on finding housing aimed at autistic adults. I can find information on assisted housing and information on like, skills for living alone. but while I am basically equipped to live independently I just completely lack the skills for actually contacting landlords/roommates and negotiating a rental.

this is possibly the most debilitated I have felt by my autism in my life... after searching for months I moved into a place with roommates yesterday, but I had misgivings about it before agreeing to live here that I worry are proving founded. I just feel completely unable to advocate for myself or assert my needs - after I viewed the apartment it felt like I couldn't say no anymore.

obviously I will try for more than one day to see if I can get used to things here, but I want to at least start looking for something better and don't want to repeat the same mistakes again... I just need structured help and I've yet to see anything about actually finding housing in books about life skills for autistic people

(also will note that I'm in canada but while some of the legal ins and outs may vary I suspect that the social structures of finding housing are pretty similar to those of the us)
