gettin self-defence lessons from the girls sounds like a dream (for dating/tension starto!!!)~ but i have a feelin that if u have chronic pains or disabilites that maybe pepsi or lady scarlet might be best? bcs of the whole "world out to get them/actually injured a lot" they have experience with buildin support around problem areas and fightin creatively and with pain and lack of endurance sometimes (not that saph an vellum arent creative tho!!!)

On top of that, both Pepper and Scarlet were Captains/Co-Captains of the Royal Guard before getting yeeted into their current Lilytale timeline. That meant they also trained new Guards, and in their timelines, so many monsters had all variety of injuries/scars/etc, not to mention different abilities/body types in the first place, that they had to master being able to teach their underlings in ways that would work with their needs… and ways to work/move/etc when injured, in pain, and so on.

So they’re both total pros at it, and also they & their sisters are the best at recognizing injury/chronic pain/disability in the first place, second only to Blade & Twist.

Pepps & Scar would also respect and be impressed by your dedication, if you wanted to learn from them too - and be more than a little flustered/flattered on the inside, ohoho - and you can bet they’d come up with a great routine & combat/self-defence approach tailor-fit to your needs & abilities. They’d learn with you too, tweaking it and customizing it the more you worked with them :3

Bonus:

Sapphire & Vellum of course are creative and care so much though - so with them, what they’d be more likely to do is find a different activity to do with you, one that would help with stamina/pain/muscle issues/whatever you’d like. Even if they need a lot more time and research on their end to figure out how to teach you self-defense (frankly, they’d both turn to their edgier counterpart in the end, swallowing their pride), they’re happy to train with you in other physical ways!

Sapphire would be likely to lean towards low impact activities that are still fun - swimming would be up there (a hiliarious activity with skeletons, to boot), as would Tai Chi, going on walks (if applicable/suited for you), and Wii sports games (or similar, heh). Secretly, she’ll actually spend a ton of time researching once you open up about wanting to do something like that with her, even if she’s not the pick for self-defense.

Vellum would be likely to see if you’d be interested in taking up some form of ballroom dancing with her! Whatever form suits your needs best, at whatever pace, even if you have two left feet, or you’re in a wheelchair - if you’re at all interested, she’ll help you learn & tailor the dances you learn to what you need, and over time you’ll become a pro just like her ;) If ballroom dancing’s out of the question, though, she’ll keep digging till she finds something you can do together, no questions asked, and no daunting to her boundless enthusiasm and support, either.

what i’m hoping happens is i can tell them my strengths are in literature and japanese translations, so they can get me work from home (maybe as a tutor?). either that, or they can maybe help me pay to get my master’s in library sciences degree through online/distance learning. a school in upstate ny offers those courses totally online, so then i’d just have to get my transcript and stuff in order... but i don’t think i’d be able to get any letters of recommendation because i don’t know how to contact any of my teachers anymore. so that’s probably not possible. blah.

my ideal job would be to work in a library or a bookstore of some kind anyway 8( so hopefully they can find me something. and if not then i just gotta make peace with applying for financial assistance, which... is gonna be scary.

so in the thedas settin i always liked to imagine gisele and co's nightly routines together, gisele relaxin while alistair is slowly and carefully (tryin his best for her lovely hair!!!) oiling her hair,,, zevran is reading (bad) orlesian bodice rippers and hammin it up with expressions and hand gestures to match as leliana gigglin and confessin she knows the authors real name and hes just as pretentious and ridiculous in real life, (1)

loghain is lovin takin the piss out of stuffy and repressed orlesian nobles (and also lelianas little sly asides about what character is a stand in for what noble) and he loves hearin giseles laugh at their antics,,,, so thats in thedas,,, but what about the ff setting? what is her nightly, relaxing routine with her loved ones? :)c (2)

this is amazing first of all and v. Accurate

when Gisele and the lads are actually all together, it’s somewhat similar. Aymeric is the one doing the brushie brushie because he’s very tactile and brushing Gisele’s hair honest to god reminds him of when he brushes his cat because FLUFF and he does it as much because he finds it soothing as he does to spoil her (but he does like spoiling her). 

Haurchefant is generally the one reading salacious poetry. scandalous Ishgardian verse generally involves ~Forbidden Passions~ between priests and such. but that’s not the only kind he likes, by any means. When he gets to melodramatically reading aloud, Estinien starts talking to Aymeric’s cat like, “can you believe him?” and the cat generally agrees. He’d never admit it, but Estinien honestly just likes being with them. if he’s sitting quietly watching them, he’s content.

on the off chance Hien is there...he’s probably having a nightcap with Estinien, and playing with the cat. Aymeric knew Hien was good people because the cat likes him, and that cat doesn’t like anybody except Aymeric’s lovers.

Lol! I’d say yes, but honestly Myst is far too kind to be any kind of Petruchio. That and he’d have no desire to change Edge so much as help him to lower his guard and come to realize that it’s okay to be honest about the things and people you like/love; it’s not a sign of weakness in the Tale verse like it is in the Fell.

@thighsofthistle​ submitted: my souls main trait is patience i feel, dulled in places with integrity seeping through. there are thin cracks along the edges like its been slowly crushed without breaking completely (due to abuse growing up and the last 5 years) and with a thicker one running like a crevasse through the whole of it. that one has been healed over unevenly and filled with mottled patience and a spiteful determination that wont let me die. it feels like its constantly reopening and scabbing over. theres a thin pulse of justice that shines dully despite the persistent darkness that i cant seem to be rid off. its like im constantly shedding slivers of patience as i deal with my mental health and chronic pain, always filling in the gaps but it seems never-ending.

the tortoise’s two cents:  Your SOUL is beautiful.  There may be a darkness in that’s there beneath that Justice, but the colors that swirl together are almost hypnotic.  

At least, that’s how Underfell Papyrus sees your SOUL.  

He can see the resilience in it, how it’s been pushed to its breaking point, but it’s Determined to hold together -- even if that Determination is sometimes from spite.  He’s someone that values Integrity, but also has Patience in spades when it really counts.

Not soft!domme-y but: Ros calls John her baby boy blue and John blushes all pink right up to the tips of his ears. He tries to think of a fitting name for her--Rose Red is too trite and obvious--and if he has to talk about her, he’ll call her “my one and only.”

He is always the little spoon, but he’s also partial to sleeping curled up against her breasts (lil spoiled brat). And he is the biggest brat holy shit but she loves him for it. Bless.
