theres honestly not that much to say about em! theyre not one of the fan characters i came up with an elaborate personality for, basically everything you saw in the chapter is everything we have already 😭 theyve got a silver tongue, theyre good at getting what they want, theyre a bit mischievous but probably not in the way that they like a good prank. other than that we decided that they were actually assigned a gender but then decided they were nonbinary (like... most people do), so that, with penny (came out the egg knowing they were nb) and shiloh (would have been raised gender neutrally) the tdau has every possibility for a they/them toddler

their designs still a wip. i know its not really "canon compliant" but i think them having silver skin would make the rainbow Pop more

ive been cooking for my deranged au again. content warnings for dark themes?? I have no idea what to tag this with. its basically rainbow factory that's the content warning.

The rank-up exams from A to S are mandatory once a month for every Inkfish living in Splatsville and this system has been in place for quite a few years now. its one of those traditional things that maybe isn't so great since it pressures inkfish to do ranked when they want to play casual turf.

but you know how splatsville is. the weak leave splatsville. splatsville is a city full of strong competitors.

the exams are basically a series. done in solo queue and no way to prepare beforehand about who you're going up against or who your teammates are going to be. if your weapon doesn't fit in with the team comp, whoops! hope you're proficient enough with it.

since it's ranked, the four modes are zones, tower, clams, and rainmaker, but unlike a series, these are chosen at random each match. The only practice an individual is getting is prior practice for the exam for that particular mode. and like a series, the individual gets three chances to lose. if you lose three, you're out. if you win three, you're in. congrats! yes the system is rigged. no, nobody is going to question it.

so, what happens when someone fails! Well! They get exiled from the city. Most believe they'll just have to move to Inkopolis. Some don't feel so pressured to give up their Splatsville pride since. well. the worst that they think that just happens is that they go away from the city. not very threatening.

but what ACTUALLY happens is that theyre sent to an off-grid location somewhere in the splatlands. Nobody goes out there really so it's a perfect place for this. the "failures" are turned into power eggs. these power eggs can be used for a variety of things, although they're mostly used for gaining profit, which in turn helps splatsville grow and develop even further. real fucked up. its no wonder why people in splatsville never see the exiled again.

While this is a mostly Splatsville thing, Inkopolis squids who move to Splatsville or stay for a prolonged period of time are also subjected to this mandatory rank-up exam. This causes Inkopolis squids to be familiar with the process and some even do it in their hometown without the whole exiling thing. For them it's to mostly see how fresh they are, and it's unofficial to Splatlands.

now, the au starts off with barreleye and mitsuami competing with each other since it was supposedly random that both of them were scheduled at the same time. mitsuami, like usual, is very nervous, but others around her say that everything's going to be fine. however, things seem amiss to mitsuami when team blue goes missing after being separated for their exam a week earlier. their teamwork is their strong point, which makes it sort of unfair that they were separated in their exam. but, the most interesting thing is that Headphones actually passed. Where was she? She must've went with her teammates regardless of passing.

deep cut and a lot of other individuals are kept hush-hush throughout this whole thing. mostly by money. deep cut can't really resist treasures. The agents are a non-threat since they're also subjected to this system if they live in Splatsville (and nobody's really investigated it, and if they did, they never returned.)

Life sucks. It's pretty common knowledge that my mental and physical health have been consistently TERRIBLE, and I have hit a point where I feel like Im not progressing. My dad told me once that people often cannot meet my expectations, and that's why i run into conflict. He also told me that sometimes that means i cannot meet my own expectations. I expect myself to continue on as normal, before my health started worsening, and while my animals are not the ones to suffer, it is time i acknowledge that I am caring for them at great expense to myself. I've tried to compensate for the responsibilities I have, work, art, animals, but at this point, ive decided the best option for me is to minimize my life style. It's been painful to do, because I enjoy so many things, but ive spiraled out way too far, and im not any happier for it.

I've gotten rid of the variety of art types that i do. Any non-essential epoxy resin supplies, beads i was using for keychains, colored pencils lol, leather working stuff, and other things i cant remember

My pirate costume was dismantled, keeping only the skirt and corset. That hurt for whatever reason.

My bone collection has decreased.

CLOTHES lol which sounds funny but i dont wanna do more than two loads of laundry like EVER.

And the absolute worst, most heartbreaking part, is im rehoming animals. Some temporarily, others permanently, but in the end, leaving only a smattering here:

Helios and Atlas, my two first personal snakes, non breeding males. I could not let them go.

Ygritte, as she is the baby from my first clutch, and my heart snake.

Whiskey, Pipsqueak, and Agave (specter female) because i committed to caring for them from my friends, and I love them dearly.

Sparrow, because she is special to me.

And finally Apollo, because axanthics are my favorite, and I can keep a hold on him if i decide i would like to breed a clutch next year from Ygritte or Whiskey.

Tormund is also coming home from my friend, and i am undecided if I will keep him or not.

Everyone else has been arranged for already, including most of the potential hatchlings within Ygrittes eggs- with the exception of two males-

I love these animals and i love breeding, but i need to stop kidding myself, and get myself together before I continue doing basically anything superfluous in my life. I can pick breeding back up in the future, when I'm at a place where life doesn't suck so much and doesn't feel like so much effort, energy, and emotion are driving me into the ground. I especially dont want to breed rats anymore. As much as i love them, theyre too much work. Time and energy are not a luxury i have right now.

I have things I absolutely love, but I have to learn to love myself, and its going to take so much more than I have to give right now.

Im not sure where this blog will sit while I get myself together. Expect Ygritte updates, i feel i owe yall that much at least, but my social media use is likely going to take a large downturn while i focus on myself.

It's been really really hard asking for help from other people, pushing aside my pride and embracing my pride all at the same time to admit i am at the end of my rope and my life needs an overhaul or i am not getting better.

I am extremely lucky and fortunate to have built a network and involved myself in the community to the point i have friends willing to house my treasured animals indefinitely, so I can really truly put my resources towards bettering myself, and still have the option to acquire them back.

This is the hardest thing i have had to do so far, to admit i am not caring for myself to the extent that i need to, and to ask for help from so many different people.

i absolutely fucking hate his anatomy its bad from any possible perspective and tehres no sugartalking it hes a naked little man with a fursuit head. and that head has a human jaw. somehow.

the cgi on sonic is debateable. hope the movie puts him into the environment a little better with bounce light n shit. (he would probably fit the environment more easily if he was a cartoon)

the overall quality of the movie is standard millions of dollar budged movie. its got explosions and action and over the top cgi and unfunny jokes that somehow make u laugh anyways they tried some really cool stuff but they just. couldn’t execute it the way they’d wish they did (or at least i wish they did)

you WILL be entertained when watching this movie because the actors are doing a great job n the overall execution is okay (not Good but like. passable. think frozen)

generally the characterization of sonic is good from what we’ve seen

* He’s made himself Bigwings of his Winglet (but it’s mainly for Janis)

* He met Janis after she broke away from her old friends. She was depressed and still shaken up from her capture and she flew far from her home just to get away from bad memories. She crash lands in the marsh, much to her dismay, and he helps her out of the mud; A strange immediate kinship is formed between the two

* Her scales can obviously change colors, but she usually keeps them as shades of purple with streaks of yellow and ombré. The underside of her wings are the color of the lesbian flag and she would definitely thrust them open at random moments just to show the colors (Damian is proud)

everyday tsuki hears librarian this and librarian that
