kiki & kaka are so wild cuz when they describe their backstory in the adventurer's bible they mention that their parents are nomads who had problems with money so there was a chance that they were left behind on purpose but it's equally likely that said parents just. died and couldn't come back for them. but there's like no bitterness when they say it it just comes across as incredibly matter-of-fact. either they don't care or they've just accepted that their bio parents are gone from their lives for good and that there's no point in dwelling in it. it comes across as a bit cold hearted, but also being able to put that part of their lives behind them so successfully is proof the flokes really loved them despite the difficulties the interspecies/racial adoption created
