* theyre also super autistic !!!!!!! they both hav episodez where they freak out over a change of planz (in "bubble boys" baljeet triez to take phineas' advice to "seize the day" very literally , by planning out every single second of hiz day and then freakz out when hiz schedule iz disrupted . in "bully bromance breakup" jeet forbidz the use of technology az the gang climb a mountain and phin lozez hiz mind , desperately suggesting ideaz for inventionz n gadgetz to the point where he stopz climbing n iz being pulled along by everyone else while curled up into a ball) , they both hav som trouble understanding tone and social cuez , they both infodump and stim , etc

literally so much has happened in tota jfsdjvnsjafk so here are some of my thoughts bc. So Much. has happened. and i think this is a good moment in gameplay to step back and review things before Even More Stuff Happens and i forget these thoughts. wanted to do this last night but i was too sleepy so 😗

where i am currently... literally just left the house and reached yulia city after lowering the outer lands like wow. the game was reallyyyy hyping up the battle with van to be The Last Battle but like theres no way right..... i didnt know what to expect but a one month timeskippy skip was not one of them so. this will be interesting. but ill babble more abt that later ummmm i think ill pick up from. natalia and her father making up.

that was a really sweet moment.... and Yes i did cry and also OMG the english voice acting in this game is amazing. i think its really cool how neither natalia or luke are the 'true' heirs to the throne although their situations are completelyyy different. though i do kinda feel like it came out of nowhere LOL while i love the story so far i do think it has some weak parts, primarily with its build up.. like the game is very dense with arte mechanics lore + politics and i dont think it does the best job of easing it into the story. theres a lot to take in and even now theres still stuff i dont completely understand like what. is an isofon. and also how come asch can make hyperresonances too Huh i thought only luke could cuz hyperresonances are when two 7th fonons collide and luke being a replica kinda made two 7 fonons in him but apparently no. what. huh. and also another instance i remember is like, as of Now i know that the score is a big deal, but before the legretta boss fight i didnt really get that cuz luke (and by extension me) was too busy learning basic societal conventions and the importance of the score was not one of them. so like yeah. still enjoying the game in spite of this but it could stand to be smoother

moving on um. let me babble abt guy. guy is a wonderfully complex character likeeeee the type of dude i love to rotate in my mind. skilled at hiding their negative feelings which is sooo interesting in conjunction with the time hes spent w luke and the fabres, bc he has a very valid reason to hate them, BUT he also genuinely cares for luke. probably. like its spelled out by the game that luke deliberately chooses to trust guy despite him having every reason to betray him and that is just SOOOO compelling and interesting like wow. and its also incrediblyyy compelling that guy is able to deeply sympathize with our main antagonist van bc they are both survivors of hod and its just like.... yeah very fascinating dude.

also interestingly enough i think tear's character narrative is the weakest to me despite being a character we've been around the longest? like shes similar to guy in that they both have close relations to the main antagonist, but guy had actually experienced the same thing that van had experienced, while tear had only heard abt it second hand. shes got her loss of faith in mohs / the score / the order going for her + her miasma sickness, but the story hadnt really touched on that tht much. with that said tho, i hold faith that the rest of the story will adequately flesh out the rest of her character, bc theyre gonna have to resolve her miasma sickness at some point and i think that's when she'll get her proper arc, along with asch's and van's characters which are also currently unresolved.

also my currently favorite moment of hers is from one of her training flashbacks with legretta, where in the present day she knocked out a monster that was about to attack luke, and in the flashback legretta killed a knight that attempted to attack tear. and legretta was telling her um... fuck i didnt take a picture so i cant precisely remember X( but it was something about the value of life, and showing enemies no mercy. but tear defied her and moved on from her teachings bc she chose to heal the monster bc it had children nearby. and that was a very sweet moment to me :') im looking forward to having more tear in the storyyyy

also speaking of legretta. jesus christ the sheridan massacre was crazy... and unexpected too. the antagonists are really crazy huh. like obvs they make a point abt freeing one self's from the score / "fate" but also like... the War Crimes.... idk ill have to see where the story is taking this but how it stands right now its like... compelling but also kinda weird because the question tota poses is... kinda theoretical?? but also not?? cuz a lot of whats being questioned is abt the score, which we, real world people, Do Not have a modern world equivalent for.. but its also not completely abt the score and is kinda like saying, "Is it ok to hurt others if it's believed prosperity will be achieved from it?" which is also kinda like saying "Is there any justifiable reason to destroy others?" and also when you throw replicas in there its like "For what reason are you alive for? If the reason for your life is already dictated, must you follow it?" something like that...... also im curious abt how the game will frame the church in the end bc like... ya mohs and the oracle knight are portrayed negatively, but our homie ion is shown positively like... its surprisinglyy nuanced but i wonder if it will steer around w that at the end. especially considering the numerous mentions of the church subsisting from donations which well... Can Be Problematic, to say the least.

speaking of the problematic church.... aniseeeeeee 🥺 at first i wasnt very interested in her character bc a young boy-crazy girl is a trope that im kinda sooooo over with.. but then it turned out that omg? anise isnt that at all but is actually a gold digger LMAO that is awesome?! and its very compelling how her reasoning for being one is very sympathetic, with how her parents are poor followers of the church and anise is trying to attain a better life for both them and herself. and the way we learn that shes not really boy crazy is really cool too with how she does a 180 and becomes completely (and justifiably) nasty to luke after akzeriuth, i think her meanness and brattiness is sooo awesome. but shes also very kindhearted like the.. oh....

this made me very teary eyed like T_T oh..... to see the first time we ever see anise crying is over someone who she probably used to be friends with.. and also how shes also been shown being sympathetic to dist, jade's former kinda maybe friend.. she is a very great character and not at all what i thought she'd be like initially, which im very thankful for.

also i fucking love her dynamic with jade it is SOOO awesome AND funny af cuz like, when u see these two you might expect a fucking, endearing older man looking after a younger child dynamic. but thats not what u get with these two at all, they are two very capable soldiers and jade is shown to rely on and trust anise and vice versa, and also jade is a very haughty and somewhat mean-spirited person, and anise can match with that perfectly. like when jade was being a well meaning douche casting suspicion on guy, which led to luke restating his decision to trust in guy, anise followed up with teasing jade like 'awww youre going soft on them teehee XD'. and also like this convo is so awesome

where epic observant anise points out to jade that 'Hey you care about these people dont you?' and its SOOO awesome that this is when jade realizes like 'LOLLLL apparently i do!!! 🤣'

and JADEEE like omg he is also a really cool character because like. during that moment where his sister speaks alone with luke to warn him 'hey my brother is Fucking Crazy and you are a Science Experiment so Watch out' i laffed bc it kinda felt like it came out of nowhere to me, but as the game progressed and jade's genius became more evident + when he admits this

thats when it really clicked to me that ohh..... jade is kinda Apathetic Af. and yet i find it very VERY cool that despite lacking empathy for others, jade is portrayed rather positively. like yes he's made unfathomable mistakes and has hurt others and yes he lacks basic empathy But he still cares about others enough to help everyone to save the world and he cares abt the party members in his own weird way like i think this is the first time ive seen a character that lacks empathy being portrayed positively like this and i think thats really really awesome.

i have a lot more to say but um i kinda wanna stop putting down my thoughts and play the game instead LOL so im stopping here yayy

NEW PROJECT SPAMS

do you guys wanna see the stuff I'm working on for my new animation I decided to do? well I can't hear you through the screen so I'll assume yes and also time for info dump (below, after the drawing, in case you don't care). TLDR version is I'm making a thing where some people go to mars. I think I finally worked out a descent module and the shit attached to it, which I'll info dump about in a sec for now look at my sub par 95% free handed scribbles (I'm too lazy to find a ruler but I used the edge of a book for the solar panels). I do plan to revise this I think but this is draft 1.

K so what the fuck is this. So I have some people goin to mars in my animation - a collab between future nasa and future roscosmos. I know I could literally make this look like anything and absolutely ZERO people would care but like I HAD TO PUT A LITTLE THOUGHT INTO IT OR I WAS GONNA DIE OK. I basically absorbed videos and facts on soyuz capsules until I started dreaming exclusively about plunging into a desert in a tiny metal box and then I figured it was enough and ok wait back up ej we gotta toss some background info out there.

Ok tldr I thought about this mission my people are going on bc even though I'm not gonna include all this exposition in the story, it helps me guide the design of shit bc I'm not that creative lol. The reason it looks so much like the soyuz is basically because in my story this spacecraft is made by Russia and the one thing I notice is that their designs don't really seem to change drastically over time. They're just like "yeah this works" and then they do that really fucking well forever and honestly I get it and this story only takes place 15-20 years in the future so I borrowed a bit

So just a high level overview. The characters are leaving from Earth in this much smaller spacecraft that will dock with a bigger space-station-like vehicle already in orbit around earth that actually does the bulk of the journey. Part of the reason for this is the trade off is a journey 6 months of horrible radiation, near-zero-g, and conventional fuel OR a better but scarier rocket and a much shorter transfer. I went with the better rocket - a nuclear rocket. They'll get there in 45 days but the trade off is if something goes wrong it REALLY REALLY goes wrong. Thus the reason they're not using nuclear rockets earlier to leave the atmosphere.

Anyway tldr they're docking with a bigger ship.

This is the thing they take up to the bigger ship from earth (minus the first couple rocket stages but I won't really be showing that part of the journey so I didn't draw them). There are a couple different parts. The round one is the orbital module bc i figure they'll be headed quite a ways away to dock with the main ship and theyre gonna need a place to hang out and live and whatever.

The next one and the important one is the descent module.

Now I did kinda like I said base this on the soyuz BUT there are some notable differences which you can see in action in the side of the image at the top of this post if you squint. Mars has a tricky atmosphere. It's really thin. I gotta admit like I really have no fucking idea how to design airfoils for this, much less a descent capsule. But I did read a couple papers/watched some gifs of boundary layer separation over airfoils or whatever and I looked at some of the reasoning behind why say the Mars science laboratory aeroshell and the ingenuity rotor blades are weird looking compared to stuff that's designed for our atmosphere. It boils down to it's just harder to generate lift (big shocker).

My guys would run into the same problem coming down in a capsule, but I made it so that it's a little wider/flatter and sharper than the current generation soyuz capsules. I also added more control thrusters to it because these people will have to get themselves out of the capsule and won't have help, so it needs to be oriented correctly. If they're tipping to one side and approaching some weird rocks or whatever, they can blast those things and right themselves a bit hopefully. Yeah having a thruster array on either side kinda fucks up the airflow but like I need these for the plot. More on that later. I mean maybe I don't. I'm still thinking about it. If I decide this is a stupid idea I won't put them there but like I said draft 1 no one roast me too hard

Other than that it's pretty boring. I've got a Massive parachute (though who knows how much help thatll be. ) and some retrorockets that start firing as soon as they get close to the surface to try and cushion the landing.

Oh yeah and the other part here is just the instruments/solar panels/main propulsion tanks/thrusters. This is necessary so the module can power up at the end of the journey after the big ship enters a low mars orbit. It'll separate from the big ship and then perform a braking maneuver to ultimately enter the atmosphere and land.

Anyway I'm sorry I know like .5 people care about these info dumps however I'm not sorry enough to not do it and it will happen again

Concept: a dragon ball fanfiction that is totally antagonist-driven and plot heavy and long and well-written and enthralling and, like, it really seems like the author knows what theyre doing and everything has a place. 

But in all of this theres also ample time for domestic stuff bc it’s a slow-build, or bc not all characters are involved at all times . And it takes place during a time where trunks is a teenager and he has braces for his shitty teeth. and as a reader youre like LOL. Wonfder why they chose to give him braces. But you dont really think abt it much.

But then also theres this subplot in which goten and trunks have been hanging out lately , playing video games, going to the skatepark, etc and youre like Oh thats sweet . Anyway let’s see where the main plot goes.

But then that subplot doesnt leave and FOR SEEMINGLY NO REASON what happens is that goten keeps trying to get trunks to eat gummy worms bc he knows it’s bad for his braces + and thats all cute and funny to see them bicker + but then goten just seems starngely transfixed on this bizarre idea of there being METAL in his MOUTH and this culminates into him eventually getting trunks to let him lick the candy out of his braces.

and again THIS IS A WELL-THOUGHT OUT STORY .. everything has a place .. everything feels thematically relevant in regards to itself AND the source material .. so WHY does trunks have braces WHY are they eating name-brand gummy worms? Like the author made that up. Why.

and it just gets weird like we can see how goten is having a hard time understanding this metal mouth situation and he doesnt like it and is vexed abt it but it also disgustingly intrigued and haunted by it .... Everyonbe keeps trying to explain to him the purpsoe of braces but hes just inconsolable. Hes like “It Just Aint Right. It’s not natural.” and Gohan tries to explain “Well see it’s like how i wear glasses, i cant see so well so theres glass on my face! But thats not that strange to you, is it?” but goten cuts him off and is just like IT’S NOT THE SAME THING.....

Anyway. We also see how Trunks handles this. And we see how sick he thinks it is that goten keeps doing this to him and at the same time we see the wordless, desperate fervor he exhibits where he sneaks down to the party store to buy more gummy worms with cash, how when the cashier lightheartedly says “hey kid, you know gummy things arent good for your braces, right?” trunks barely emotes and just hands him the money, we see how whenever he knows goten is coming over he plants these bags of candy where he thinks goten will see them just to put the idea in his head . We see how when they hang out it’s totally normal and comfortable until goten ntoices smth on the counter yonder and goes “woah. woaaah. Are those gummy worms? WOAH. Well. Dont mind if i do..” and then it’s like a ball drops and the evening is not the same as trunks just waits for the inevitable when goten is like “Hey you can have some too i wont tell your orthodontist..” and then tries to feed him these damn worms.

and trunks is saving face so well and exhibiting disapproval at the prospect of goten stick his tongue in his mouth but also he deosnt fight back THAT hard . Like his disapproval is genuine but so is the way that he wills himself to turn the other cheek.  And every time Goten leaves Trunks is in the bathroom scubbing his teeth and picking his braces clean and just trying to fucking breathe and not vomit. The thrill and the disgust are interchangeable. 

AND AGAIN. This is a perfeclty conventional and engaging dragon ball fanficiton. YOPU CANT FIGURE OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?

And either you never get an answer OR you finally find out at the very end WHY this has been happening. It’s so when at the crux of the villainry, they refuse to form gotenks, thus giving the plot the proper dire kick it needs. 

Like things got TOO uncomfortable between them like their subplot get its climax in which Goten is like "WAIT WAIT WAIT. They put METAL in your MOUTH so that your TEETH will MOVE?" And he already knew that but hes just realizing it in full context again. And Trunks doesnt know what the fuck hes supposed to do about the desperate fervor that lives in his chest and makes him hide gummy worms in his room for Goten to find. And maybe this does just culminate into them making out and it's WEIRD becasue it's not like theres anythinf between them but platonic comfort and fearful disgust. And they do this and Goten deosnt even care about it becasue without the sweet tang of gummy worm flesh and the tart effect of the sour dust it's sort of underwhelming. Like the metal and teeth thing is still fucked but again it's underwhelming like hes done this before but with candy and so this is just underwhelming. And they do this until they stop and then Goten goes home ... ?

And so later, in the climax of the main plot, theres a situation where they REALLY need another strong fighter. And they're sort of getting their shit kicked in. And Bulma is hiding amongst the wreckage and her son flies down to see if shes ok and shes like “IM FINE BUT YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ASS OUT THERE.. WASNT GOTEN JUST WITH YOU? GO MERGE WITH HIM OR SOMETHING!” and trunks is just like Um. Well. About that. I dont really think that’s neccessary .....

and like the stakes are so high right now but theres this pocket of comic relief where we have time for Goten to stand there with his hands in his pockets kicking rocks around and for Trunks to be like "Hey. So. My mom says we have to fuse.." and for Goten to go "Yeah. No. I dont really wanna do that...."

And you cant really say no to Bulma so they try to fuse but they dont really do it bc they keep being like "hold on my postures off" "uh I think your ki's off" etc etc and it's becasue they're kind of nervous and completely uncomfortable for obvious reasons. And Bulma just cant fucking believe what shes seeing right now.

And so. The justification for that whole sub-arch is that so at the end, Goten and Trunks arent available to form Gotenks. Ok. Sure. Everything has a place. The ends justify the means.

...BUT DO THEY???? DO the end justify the means??? ISNT THERE ANY ROOM FOR COMMENT ON THE MEANS THAT WERE CHOSEN... SURELY there are a MILLION other ways to get to that same functional end. SO WHY??? WHY??

Again to reiterate this is a great and good fanficiton. A right proper read. It feels in chatacter and relevant. SO WHY ... DID THAT HAPPEN .!!

In fact I think I will make it A LIFE GOAL I really really wanna someday be able to visit all my friends who live in different countries! Its something good to save up for, even if it'll probably take years. So.. lets randomly ramble in a journal about Plans!! IDEA THE FIRST TRIP THE FIRST FIRST THE FIRST: THE SEQUEL I think it'd probably make sense to go to america first, since i have a lot of close friends living there and I don't need to learn another language. (I am notoriously dumb...) But then afterwards I could set another goal to save up and visit another friend in another country! IT WILL NEVER ENDDDDD, THATS WHY ITS CALLED FRIENNNNDDDDD So far all I have confirmed is that two of my friends would be happy to see me if I was able to visit america, @darkeiya and @summon-daze But its not like I've exactly asked everyone else, so I dunno really how many people I might be able to visit. And it depends on time constraints too, i might only be able to spend a full day or two with the closest friends and maybe then if there's more than three of us we could all meet up together and hang out en masse? Depends on how tricky it'd be for everyone to get to the same place! SO! PLANS AND THINGS I NEED TO PREPARE! workin to figure out a precise money goal im gonna save for * Become Fab * no but srsly i wanna look my best if im meeting friends in person for the first ever time. need to acquire Cool T-Shirts * figure out what exactly you can and cannot take on an aeroplane, and how to deal with anxiety if i cant take electronics. Nothing's as distracting as videogames when you're freakin out! * DO NOT SCHEDULE ANYTHING ON THE 11th-14th OF THE MONTH. i have a bad history of my period landing on these days ONLY when i have to do something important. Or when its my birthday :P I dont need even more reason to feel nauseous on a plane! * figure out how many days the stay will be, and how many clothes etc I need to bring. probably a basic thing, but this is my first time going on a holiday alone so i need to write stuff down to make sure i remember! * figure out how long exactly I want to spend with each friend, and how long I can afford in hotel fees. And does a plane ticket cos more if you're staying for longer? * find out what kind of luggages are easiest to carry and how to carry three luggages when i have two hands. Can you tie them together and make a luggages train??? * Find some sort of secure way to carry large amounts of money. I'm gonna have to do that since I need to get all my currency converted before I go. I was thinking maybe a little matchbox tin chained to the inside of my coat or around my neck? Something where you couldnt get it without roughhousing with me, and it'd still be hard to pull it off the chain. Gives me a precious few extra minutes to yell for help/possibly bludgeon a guy with a suitcase * Figure out hotel(s) in different areas of america, depending on how far I'll have to travel. And figure out affordable ways to travel the difference if its not a situation where the friend can pick me up. And make sure they are cool hotels, not just the absolute minimum! i wanna make a fun tourist experience of the hotels!! I havent been in a hotel since I was a kid! * Possibly schedule it like a 'safehouse' thing? Returning to home base! I need to make sure I schedule around the potential anxiety of doing so much travel in a new place. So maybe schedule it out so I have a period of me-time in between visiting each friend? Itd probably cost too much to rent a hotel room for an entire day in between so maybe just schedule it out so I have half a day at least. I dunno if hotels allow you to sleep in all day tho, are there rules about what time you need to be up and out? * I'm kinda looking forward to using hotel beds and showers cos theyre like luxury compared to my house XD man, I wonder if I could get a place with a hot tub?? or the fabled mini-bar?? (which i would drink nothing of, but it would be fun to take photos!) And it'd be so cool to see what american breakfasts are like! And lol all my friends have just been like 'YOU NEED TO SEE OUR LOCAL RESTAURANTS' and im like... dude, i dont need to get fatter XD lets limit it to ONE! * I dunno if my friends would just wanna hang out in their local mall or something, or if I could visit their house and say hi to their family? that might be going too far. i'll still bring gifts they can give to their family tho, i wanna show my appreciation to everyone!! * are you allowed to bring extra empty suitcases onto the plane with you? I'm anticipating that knowing myself im probably gonna buy enough souveniers to need one. I'm planning to basically have half the money be for travel and then half again is just for buying NOVELTY HATS! * need to make sure to finally get a passport, and also consult heavily with my support worker and friends to make sure i have every form of travel documentation in order. I know stuff is... not good, in america right now. Thats probably why it'd be good that it'd take me years to save up for a visit, hopefully i'd be there after the next election. But I need to prepare anyway, in case border control is even more stringent. * Prepare the 'ol misgendering, because getting strip searched and treated as a suspicious threat is a very big reality for trans people. Having the wrong gender marker on your birth certificate is treated as 'this passport must be a forgery' rather than.. yknow.. transgender people exist. And then you need to be invasively handled by the guards to make sure you aren't packing explosives down your goddamn pants, they have to inspect the parts of you that you're most self concious about. *shudder* I've heard a lot of horror stories. I dunno if america is any better about it. But yeah I'm probably gonna have to just pass as female during boarding and hotels and stuff, and not wear my binder til i get to meet my friends. Saves trouble... Man, I might have to even go buy some more cliche feminine outfits or something, to make sure. Itd be fun burning them afterwards, I guess... * BRING GIFTS FOR FRIENDS N FAMILY! Figure out what is and isnt allowed to be transferred between countries. As far as I know I cant bring any form of food or drink right? I'm only allowed to eat the in-flight meals? Thats a shame cos I wanted to bring welsh cakes, theyre the only one of our local delicacies that's not a super acquired taste. (I tried bara bryth for the first time and DIED) And I dunno if anyone would be interested in silly souveniers of my country but I could get a pile of em if you are! Want an eight foot tall lovespoon? Want a giant inflatable daffodil? Want a bazillion ceramic dragons? * I am determined to bring at least one personalized super awesome gift for each person!
