Read a post yesterday positing that people who wanted there to be a DA(t)V ending where the Veil came down probably have childishly simplistic political views in real life. I guess I shouldn't be surprised; the DA fandom earned its terrible reputation due to this very specific "the way you played this RPG says something about you as a person" kind of posting. But, well, I am!
#i thought we had covered the 'wanting something in fiction does not mean you want it in real life' bit on this site#even if there was any possible one-to-one comparison you could make with the veil in dragon age and a political outcome in the real world#on my end i never expected that outcome in the game to be an option so it's whatever#but i'm certainly not going to look at someone who did want to explore that and start making huge assumptions#it is funny though because like at least when the da fandom was earning its ire the fans in question were largely idk 19#now people are out here tabbing between tumblr and their workday account#they've got a teams call in 30 minutes with their supervisor to set their Q1 performance goals#which leaves 5 minutes for fresh coffee and a bathroom break and 25 to call people who disagree with them about an rpg media illiterate
