yes.... finally......... i can SHILL..........

basically, deep sea expedition or WHATEVER it would be called would be the salmon run dlc. wave THREE of splatoon THREE's dlc waves. you feel me?

so i've done just two posts before about this idea, but it would star agent 4 as our player character. reasons why?

agent four and agent 8 both having dlcs in splat3 would be a great way to pay homage to splatoon 2, since both were the protagonists of that game

grizzco and salmon run were introduced to the series with splatoon 2, might as well have the protgaonist of that game be the one to end the salmon run story line since return of the mammalians focuses more on mr. grizz himself instead of the salmonids

the basic idea for gameplay i have for this DLC would be a mix of a more open world approach (think security breach: RUIN) alongside a the PVE horde gameplay from salmon run. agent 4 would have to fight through hordes of salmonids and other deep sea creatures to descend deeper to reach a sort of salmonid capital. think maybe like... sparta? since the salmonids are inspired by that. maybe a giant ass collesuem (i know thats in rome i do not care).

point is, you start near the surface and have to descend to defeat the bosses (ha get it. cus side order has an elevator where you go up? im clever i think sometimes)

actually this sounds a bit like doom. oh well

i'd like to think there's some sort of phenomena of like... underwater air pockets. like underwater caves? where a bunch of civilizations are maybe? would be pretty neat to see all the stuff where salmonids go when they arent doing the salmon run part, among other species that could live in these areas considered the deep sea metro

(the naming coincidences are not lost on me but i have no idea what else to call this hypothetical salmon run DLC)

story? agent 4 has been stranded in hostile, salmonid territory with no backup, a faulty pair of grizzco (tm) dualies, and her wits. 4 meets a goldie salmonid, named chrysos, who takes 4 under their fin (ha) to help them find a way home. 4 and chrysos must explore deeper into the heart of the sea to find enough super golden eggs (name and idea pending) to have enough power to send 4 home.

thats the working synopsis anyway, excluding major spoilers and all

apart of the open world sections of the DLC would have the player controlling 4 and chrysos in a kind of open world diving situation. four is equipped with a prototype pressurized underwater scuba gear that makes it safe for ink-based people to go underwater! its grizzco brand and needs many upgrades (that could be acquired thru out the story).

im thinking for these sections you'd be timed to find an air pocket or new treasure of sorts? and if you run out of time idk 4 runs out of air or something and gets splatted. dw they have a life preserver which chrysos would reactivate to save four, basically restarting the level from the beginning.

chrysos would be a very straightforward character with a dry sense of humor and a natural curiosity for all things from the surface. they're helping 4 out of the goodness of their heart and to satiate that curiosity of what inklings are like, among other reasons.

they pluck one of their scales at the beginning of the story to help power up the faulty grizzco dualies, which would also be a tutorial on how to like.... level up? get upgrades? not sure

Okay okay so

Two Fish (Matsyayugma) are one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols(Asthamangalas), and they have two? Three?? Maybe more??? Meanings depending on your source. (Dw about the sanskrit names you won't need to remember them)

Most will say they represent freedom in/from the samsara cycle- which roughly translates to wandering, so its like wandering the cycle of death and rebirth?- which is which is associated with rivers/seas (at least twice I'm a fake buddhist) because fish can swim and stuff so they have freedom of movement. And the sea is an infinite expanse that one must cross to reach the banks of nirvana. The fish represent those who can traverse this sea of suffering freely. They also represent happiness, because who wouldn't be happy to chose to be something other than a bacteria? Its like this: free and happy fish, swimming in pairs, mingling and brushing fins without any concern of drowning- because they're fish, why would they drown?

An alternate source assigns the two fish as a symbol of the universal monarch (Chakravartin). This might be because of their association with a Jainist figure, some guy with a lot of S's in their name- one of the 63 illustrious figures, but I can't find much about this one compared to the other two. (There's a website with this definition citing 'The Shambhala Dictionary of Buddhism and Zen' but I do not personally own this book.)

Two fish also represent fertility cause its two fishies so they have a loooot of kids or something yay yay :3

Well, it might not mean anything at all, since the matsyayugma (two fish. I lied.) are traditionally depicted as two carp, or two golden fish, (and Gojo and Geto's fishsonas are black and white Betta fish)

...but two fish are buddhist symbols in a series with a lot of buddhist symbolism and imagery, and also moving away from traditional stuff and something off topic, so it's easy to say that it might truly mean something. It could be homosexual squared laughing at us all because the fish are free to swim together while Geto and Gojo are doomed by the narrative (tm). It could be me being delusional as usual.

However, it's not because they're happy and having lots of kids together- ahahaha, why would that be true?

HEY FLUFFY!!! I'mma give you a theory!!

So, i've been checkin' on that tails post you did. And i found out some interesting details.

It's about Arry, Bert, Mavis and Salty's tails.

Them all look similar, as they all have a fish-like tails. But they're all diferent at the same time.

Arry and Bert's tails together have the shape of an arrow (which is very funny to me) and a stripped ribon.

Mavis, for her part, has bigger fins but still a little bent. She has the same ribbon, but slightly looser this time.

But Salty has even bigger fully extended fins. It no longer has that striped band like its brothers, but instead has a kind of loosened rope. It also has a hook in one of its fins.

I guess they represent their freedom and how close to Diesel 10 they are.

Arry and Bert being like his new Splatter and Dodge. They're so close to him, nearly being his servants. So he treats them like pawns in his own game.

Mavis' ribbon is less tied bc of her being Diesel's mate, which is the same, his daughter in-law. And you mentioned he respects her a lot more than other diesels. (I personally think it's because thanks to her Diesel finally will think about having pups. Which may be good for Diesel 10 but idk- Pls don't do that to the pups)

And Salty being the only one without a ribbon, means he doesn't want and has no direct contact with Diesel 10. But still haves something tied to his tail because of something that may be related to his relationship with Mavis. The hook that is still on his tail even though he could just take it off, may be a ref to how he's basically hooked to Diesel 10 after the events of "Salty's Silence". In my opinion, that hook still hurts his tail, but he isn't able to take it off and just says it's like a war scar or just because it's so cool to Sandy and other pups that alread know him and it's a way to hide what he saw and how he feels about it.

Honestly, I love how Salty's character is going on this AU. You're doing an amazing job making characters that became background or secondary characters in BWBA tridimensional characters.

I will find out where you live and kidnap you if you don't make Salty an important character on the main lore between Thomas and 10. 👁👁

“Didn't I tell you to sit down?” The pirate asked, finally finishing taking his coat and hat off so they wouldn't get wet. He rushed to the mermaid’s side, — well, not anymore, he guessed — picking her off the ground and helping her up, looking away from her body. “Sheesh… come on, I'll help you into the tub. But cover yourself while you get there.” 

As he walked, still looking ahead rather than at the naked girl beside him, he managed to get her in the tub filled with water.

“I’m sorry… I'm not used to… well, walking.” The ex-mermaid explained, touching her legs underneath the water as Ruggie turned around to get the stuff for her bath. “It's so much different than swimming with my fin…”

“Well, it should be.” Ruggie said as he got the bottles of shampoo and conditioner, along with a soap. “Turn around, I'll help you with cleaning your hair. You'll scrub yourself with the soap tho, I'm not touching you.” he sits down on a nearby bench as the girl turned around, hugging her new legs. “And for the sevens do not get out of the water.” 

“Why?” She asked, and for a moment Ruggie thought she was joking because there was no way she was this naive. He rolled his eyes the moment he realized that no she was indeed very serious. 

“I don't know how it is underwater since you guys don't have… you know.” she lifted an eyebrow but he was not about to explain himself on that. He grabbed the shampoo and started cleaning her hair, the girl letting a few giggles out at the sensation of his fingers on her scalp. “-but a guy like me and a girl like you shouldn't be naked around each other.”

“A guy like you?”

“I'm not your family member, let alone your lover.” He said as he gently started taking off the shampoo with water from the tub, telling her to close her eyes in the process. “it's not right for me to see you like this. I'm only doing this because you’d probably hurt your eyes or be confused by the products.” He gives her a smirk after he’s done with the shampoo and she opens her eyes. “But I hope you do know this will cost ya.”

“Oh- yes… that's the pirate way, I assume.” The girl sighed, a bit disappointed by that. But then again, at the end of the day she was in a pirate crew now, and nothing came for free from pirates. 

Ruggie started spreading the conditioner through her blond strands, realizing just how long they were. He quickly glanced at the girl, her face specifically, noticing just how beautiful she truly was… well, she was a mermaid, he guessed they were meant to be beautiful.

Still, her beauty seemed to not only come from her appearance, but from the way she carried herself, from the way she spoke, and from the way she exhaled curiosity by every little thing Ruggie showed her about human life.

He cleared his throat, ignoring the blush on his cheeks.

“So uh… your name? I’ve been calling you “mermaid” and “girl” this whole time.” 

“Eléa.”

He stared at her and blinked. It was short, pretty, but for some reason Ruggie wasn't sure he’d be able to pronounce it… the girl seemed to notice it and giggled, truly music to Ruggie’s ears.

“You may call me whatever you like. I know my name is quite uncommon up here.” 

“Whatever I like huh…” he spilled water on her head once again, getting rid of the conditioner on her hair, getting the soap right after. “Well… do you like flowers?”

“Flowers?” She tilted her head as Ruggie started making foam with the soap, spreading it throughout Eléa’s face. “I’m- I'm unsure if I’ve seen one-” she tried to talk before he chuckled and grabbed some water to take the foam off of her face. 

“They're pretty little plants that grow on the ground. You should see one once we land somewhere.” He said, scrubbing her neck without giving it much thought. “There's this one plant that I like, it's called daisy. it's tiny and pretty, and is also edible. It kinda reminds me of you.”

“E-edible…?” Eléa questioned, a bit confused by the comment, but Ruggie didn't give it much thought as he went to scrub her shoulders and arms. 

“Why don't I call you that? Daisy. It has a nice ring to it, don't ya think?” He smiled at her and Daisy did the same, seemingly happy with the new nickname she was given.

“...yes. I quite like it as well.” She intertwined their fingers as Ruggie had reached her hand with the soap, and by this motion he realized what he had started doing. 

He quickly got up, giving her the soap in a hurry, totally flustered. What was he thinking?? Actually, screw that, he wasn't thinking at all! If she didn't intertwine their fingers he would never have noticed that he had started scrubbing her body… what was wrong with him?

“A-anyways, scrub your whole body with the soap. I-I’ll ask Jeanne to help you getting dressed. See you later, Daisy.” 

“Wait-” the ex-mermaid was cut off by the sound of the door closing. She furrowed her eyebrows and sighed, starting to scrub herself. “I wanted to ask if he could show me the flowers once we land…”

Meanwhile, outside of the ship’s bathroom, Ruggie was crouched on the ground, tail between his legs as he held his red face from embarrassment. He literally told her he would not be touching her in any way, then there he goes!! Ugh… this was all because he got carried away…

He got carried away by her voice, her beauty, and most importantly her personality and how her happy laughter filled his ears and his heart with joy. His grandmother had warned him before he went to follow Leona as his captain: “beware of the mermaids, for they can bewitch any man at any time.”

It seemed he had been bewitched by her, he was truly enchanted.

okay, so i have to give a little context for me and my friends mermaid au. it's just us taking the qsmp members and dunking them in the ocean. some of them became mermaids and some stayed as boring humans, what can you do?

the favela five are all mermaids in our au + richas is a human child they 'adopt' essentially!! This au is not......realistic at all because some mermaids are inspired by real sea animals (Cellbit is an octopus for example) and some are just like......... Ariel/fantasy mermaids (Forever is just a fish. his tail looks like a koi fish for the aesthetic but he's not. he's just a mermaid with a pretty tail and covered in scars) (his tail is dark gray with red/white splotches on it to look like his mc skin). all mermaids also have the cute ear fins you see in art sometimes? (if u know jrwi think of gillion-esque ear fins i don't know how to explain it)

Me and my friend also made an entire "courting ritual" and how mermaids do romance and stuff but that can be a separate post. what YOU need to know is that for mermaids to be "married" essentially they will have to rip one of the scales on their tail off and give it to the person they want to marry!!! married mermaids will take the scale from their partner and put it on their tail where they took their scale off to symbolize how they are together !!

basically, all i really wanted to tell you is that insaneduo in the mermaid au are married NDSAVKJASK they're in a pod (family) with the rest of the Favela five but their relationship is super close just like in the qsmp. they basically go everywhere with each other and even if they don't they're never far from one another. They just care about each other so much!!!

after one incident with forever being taken by mermaid hunters (he escaped dw) he had a bunch of large cuts and injuries on his tail because they wanted his scales. Since he lost a bunch of scales he just took one off him and gave it to cellbit because he loves him and wants him to know that he means a lot to him. cellbit was in shock for all of 5 seconds needing to process that his best friend is fucking bleeding and dying and also being the equivalent of proposed too. Cellbit then proceeded to rip one of his own scales off (octopuses don't have scales but please don't think too hard about it, its cute please suspend your disbelief) and gave it to forever. i think forever would probably start yelling at cellbit like “WHAT ARE YOU DOING THAT HURTS!!! DONT GIVE ME YOUR SCALE IDIOT!!” and cellbit is laughing at him (also in pain but that’s less important)

them trading scales is less of romantic marriage and more like "i love you and care about you a lot. i want to show my devotion to you and that i am willing to sacrifice things for you to be happy". cellbit wears forever's scale as a ring and forever keeps cellbit's on a bracelet instead of the traditional way.

also, did you know octopuses eat their own tentacles when stressed? right after the thing where forever got hurt and was having to rest to heal cellbit refused to leave him if he could help it. he nearly chewed off one of his own tentacles from worry because forever was so hurt and forever def scolded him for it after waking up.

TDLR: insaneduo in the mermaid au are best friends and the equivalent of married and care about each other so so much it makes me want to jump off a building

last thing id like to mention: cellbit is very curious about humans and wants to learn more about them! At the same time he is very weary of them because of what happened with forever and when forever meets phil he's very >:[[ about it. he doesn't think forever should be trying to talk with a fisherman so much because he could get hurt again!! it doesn't matter if this "Phil" is so nice and kind to him!! he might just want to hurt forever or keep him in a tank or take his scales!!

WELL THERES A LITTLE BIT OF A STORY, So my friend has this ocean au, Astro sirens are like these big fish serpent guys, Sunrise is a big sun I think he's a lil based on a lion fish, and there's Moonfall who's his brother I think they're really neat (actually I should post some of my art of them now that I think about it)

Anyways Bit bit (the sun) and Bitey (the moon) are Mini sirens, they're about 6 feet long (This is kinda long vdgshak Warning for mention of some violence but it's okay) Story wise Bit bit and Bitey are in a Qpp, they wear rings on their tails kinda like friendship bracelets

One time Bitey tried to fight a bull shark which, was not a great idea and Bit bit got injured trying to get Bitey out of that fight safely. Bitey was passed tf out and Bit bit dragged him onto shore and tries to tend to their wounds, but they're both worse for wear.

One stormy night, Moonfall comes across them (giant astro siren Moon, he's https://www.tumblr.com/crabas-lordes 's character) Bit bit's not doin great but's protective of Bitey, he can barely keep himself propped up on his arms bc he got a lil nerve damage (He just has a shaky arm now) bc of the storm Moonfall's feeling pretty soft so he decides to help them out even though Bit bit isn't very trusting of a giant predator.

So Moonfall keeps them in his under water cave home for a little while under the condition that when they're both healed up they need to leave and the next time he sees them they're a meal.

And Bit bit's like "ok", Bitey's passed out basically that whole time, he doesn't stay long after he wakes up with his messed up fin and they say their last goodbye to Moonfall After that they're taken in by Squish who's this seaslug astro siren (I'm p sure they're a sub species so they're a lil smaller than the regular astro sirens) who belongs to https://twitter.com/BShikiwara they. She's very motherly and just adopts everyone teensy Moonfall is her friend so Moonfall sees Bit bit and Bitey again like "ah- fuck its you" but he can't follow through with eating them cause Squish would kill him

So Bitey's like "oh yeah I recognize you" and just has the audacity to be like "lol you can't eat us you're emotionally attached" and they have this relationship of Bitey teasing Moonfall about that and Moonfall being like "bet" and trying to scare Bitey by dangling him over his mouth a lot Bit bit's kinda worried about Bitey but doesn't interfere much, Bitey has depressive episodes so one day he kinda tries to swim away from everyone and Bit bit's left worrying about him Moonfall follows him around noticing he's sad and bitey gets kinda "why're you here, I'm just food to you" and Moonfall's like "you cant even offer me sustenance" and's pretty persistent on keeping an eye on Bitey to keep him safe So Bitey kinda gives up tryin to get away from him and they end up having a very depressed conversation where Bitey shares his "im kinda nothing but a snack /neg" feelings and Moonfall listens ands like "I never really thought about that"

After that Bitey just generally feels comfier around Moonfall and just implicitly trusts him, and makes depressed jokes with him like "If i died would u keep my bones?" / "how would you like to eat me, I really wanna be grilled" and Moonfalls just "lol dw i'd grill u" there was an incident where Bitey was being dangled over Moonfall's mouth while they were fuckin around and he purposefully dropped in and Moonfall had a heart attack and choked him out like "don't do that again omg" I love their relationship, Bitey looks up to Moonfall and wants to be a big strong guy like him even tho that's not possible he's stuck at 6 feet long Sunrise on the other hand just sees Bit bit and Bitey as stressballs and dolls to throw around which like, Bitey's better at dealing with than Bit bit is cause Bitey will actively try to get away from him and Bit bit will just accept his fate be'in squeezed and tossed around like nothin which really hurts him He's ok Moonfall and Squish are protective of him when Sunrise gets too rough

Bit bit and Bitey wear ponchos bc Bit bit's self conscious of his shoulder scar and Bitey wears his as emotional support for him. Bitey thinks his scars are really cool They're also super food motivated, Bit bit's the more cautious one but Bitey'll just omn your whole arm on accident if you offer food

So here's her back story:

She’s the one and only Scarlet Blacksmith, a (created) legend among cybertronians, it was told that when the primes were born, the weapons that they had weren’t forged by Primus, but by her; the Scarlet Blacksmith. She created red energon and is powered by it. Her story was told to young sparklings to teach them that imagination is the only limit when creating.

She was reincarnated as Ultima-VI, but kept her old memories of when she was the Scarlet Blacksmith. Since it was a new vessel, she needed normal energon to survive, though she ended up consuming some during the war, which brought her back completely. She's able to regenerate with red energon, but she's the only one to be able to do so. Her legend was slightly forgotten, but Ratchet told it to the kids back on earth. That’s how they knew about her.

When she was still powered by normal energon, she got captured by Shockwave so he could make his experiments on her

To make it worse the experiments made her blind (see further) when he tested Predacon DNA on her. It also explains her sharp teeth, claws and advanced hearing. (Also further)

She’s an Outcast, this time she deliberately traveled to Kaon to become a gladiator. She was unstoppable and forged her own weapons to fight, which made her call herself The Scarlet Blacksmith there too. When she inevitably met Megatronus, it was a tough battle that she managed to win, though her pure spark made her help him get up after she was named champion. She was anonymous at the time.

After winning, she disappeared, nobody knew where she was, though she was actually sent to earth, since the Quintessons thought she was too powerful to be left on Cybertron

Her weapon is a sledgehammer, it has electric powers since it’s directly connected to her taser huge ahh eletricity canon. She lived alone before encountering the Autobots, in an old abandoned military base, where she carefully hid her red and normal energon supply.

Her alt mode is a black cybernetic tank with huge tank tracks on its side; she has golden stripes and her tank tracks act as her trench coat tail. She managed to make herself a fake alt holoform that looks like a normal truck, a flat nosed MACK truck (reference to my main OC)

Oh and she has something that stands out a LOT: she has fake "hair", which is, in short, chains attached to her scalp... acting like hair strands.

She was also a hidden medic in the Wreckers, this is how she kinda is familiar to Wheeljack… but she’s mostly recognized by Ratchet because they were coworkers back on Cybertron before the war.

She‘s blind, her optics malfunctioned during one of Shockwave’s experiments where he injected Predacon DNA in her system. The optics still look like they work, though they don't. Because of this, her audials are super developed, they're so well developed that she can perceive electromagnetic waves from bots and humans, she can even differentiate a Decepticon from an Autobot or a Predacon from an Insecticon. Her audials are now bendable fins, they look like valkyrie ear-wings in short, like Prima Prime in TFOne. They also have white or red biolights. This area is sensitive too…

When she arrived on Earth, she vowed to never EVER let any bot or human hear her voice unless they had the same level of trust as a family member, (a small holographic text bubble that is projected from her right shoulder pad is her way to communicate dw) and who did this trustful bond land onto? Raf! Why? Because that's the first real human she ever met... and because they're both pretty much quiet and like the same stuff... Anyway doesn't matter

Like in real axolotls, the metamorphosis isn't age based but environment and stress based, and even then the harsh realities of being a space faring dictatorship empire tends to cause the enough ambient stress to start the process

Most Rihas go though metamorphosis before mid life, but beyond that its not predictable with stress or environment change will be enough to cause the change. Its not a puberty thing either, its just a change that this race experiences, so the culture doesn't associate "pre metamorphosis" with "child"; which has its own issues.

Its also not something that happened prior to joining the greater cosmic community, so it's relatively recent, and really only started after the Phrontra people (responsible for like 98% of the super tech of the universe) started experimenting on the Rihasian people to study them/their genome and what could be learned/used from it. This has supposedly stopped and been outlawed, but the hatred of the Phrontra by the Rihas is forever.

Metamorphosis is not gradual enough to be comfortable (so like imagination all of your puberty growth and body changes in about a month) and is not reversible, they lose the "halo" of fins they hatch with, bulk up and round out, and generally double in size. There is no research happening to find a preventative measure for metamorphosis.

There's only like 3% of the race that remain "cute and tiny" regardless of environment, and they tend to be treasured like idols because they stay in their soft bright colours

But there's also this like hate/jealousy towards them because they stay beautiful forever and its assumed that person has lived a life of luxury/can't relate to the everyman. Even the god emporer has gone through metamorphosis, but the last remaining princess hasn't so "she must have been pampered".

There's a huge make up industry, especially in the mating age demographic, but it's not really helping their people do anything but favor vanity and become shallower. (But make up research was cheaper than medical researvh, and the emporer is kind of a selfish ass)

The emperer sounds like Bender Futurama. I don't know how to portray that in words yet.

The emperor doesn't see a point in educating his subjects and is generally considered a god king. He spends lives and resources like water and is generally just really shitty. If the Rihas weren't plentiful in number and didn't make a fortune off of reparations from the Phrontra thing, they wouldn't have the military might they do. The are one of the major powers in Terminus Space.

The emperor used the cute princess as a mascot for their army until the general unrest from the empoverished public rose so much that he was going to execute her. She served her purpose. Unfortunately she's the last child of her clutch, since her shortsighted father had executed or got all her other siblings killed in their expansion efforts. DW tho, this princess stayed alive this long thanks to her cunning

My big goal for this is the princess will go out into the universe and learn some perspective and wisdom to go with that cunning and become one of the most formidable leaders in all of the Illuminated Universe.

Since Axolotls are named for the Aztec god Xolotl, I'm hoping to make a lot of the naming and imagery Aztec in nature, but I'm still in the process of researching this and figuring out how to do it respectfully.

Seeing those bts with Liv and and Fin, it looks like he get a plaque for something maybe? and they're out celebrating (also impossible that Amanda wouldn't be there too?????, fuck you dick), what if they make him a lieu? Since I'm afraid that bruno at svu bronx will cross over and be the sub for Rollins and I think he is already a sergeant? But I'm not sure, somebody confirm me this. Not that I hate him or something, I prefer him to muncy even, but it's the idea, the concept that stings, they got rid of Amanda to sub her in with a man and maybe give him the sergeant position (if he is already one, idk maybe not) that SHE deserved?ugh!! i would have preferred his colleague at least, who was good and a black woman since dick wanted to be 'current'. Omg he's sooooo 'current' that there are men left and right in these last 2 episodes mansplaining but women? Uhm only liv and muncy left, wow so current dicky.

Then maybe it's not that the thing with Fin and bruno but I'm pissed that I see only men (one of them captain asshole, 2 if you count mcgrath lol) adding to the show even if not permanent and women get kicked to the curb.

SVU is so fucked anon. LIke at this point, I NEED this show fucking cancelled. But I have avoided almost everything to do with SVU bts since we got the news that Kelli was fired. And I have only watched 24x10 (still debating on if I even want to bother with this show anymore).

According to the wiki he's a Detective? So he may just be filling in for a minute since Liv did make the comment about "more bodies?" Either way, it's FUCKED that they're potentially gonna replace Amanda with a man. A fucking white one at that. Like not even a man of color.

It's so sad that DW is claiming that he wants the show to "stay current' when it's so desperately white and straight and white passing in Velasco's case. Compared to other shows on tv in terms of how diverse they are, SVU (and Wolf Ent as a whole) is a fucking joke.

Amanda (and we) deserved to see her become a fucking Sergeant and stay at SVU. We also deserved to have Kat and Garland still. But Dick Wolf is apparently afraid of the power (and diversity) Chief Garland, Captain Benson, Seregant Rollins Carisi, Detective Tamin and Detective Muncy would have had.

I will never not be annoyed that they got rid of their ONLY canon lgbt character (bc let's be real Amanda, Liv and Muncy are not straight) who was also a woman of color and replaced her with a white passing man (like I don't mind Velasco that much anymore but I hate that we had to lose Kat) and got rid of a black chief to replace him with a fucking annoying ass white man....

so yeah lol anon from before, l&o original fucked up the timeline big time lol!! the shooting wasn't the 16th of September but August, that makes 6 weeks exactly. When I read the date timeline of this episode being 26th of Sept. I fucking laughed and screamed so hard like WHAAAT?! 10 freaking days how is she not dead on the precinct floor, go back to bed AMANDA!!! until Olivia saved my mental jumps and said 6 weeks!!

yeah the pregnancy hypothesis is crumbling down I think for me too after today, they're probably going with the 'being scared of losing her family/dying' path which I'm ok with and kind of not, meaning like, the idea that a woman has to choose between her job that she loves and she's damn good at it and the family because it's dangerous eh, i know they're using the fear of dying option but I hope they deliver it good or it could seemed the other way. It's not like she's careless now, before yes a bit but since she had the kids she changed even at her work, and other detectives have family and a dangerous job too, idk I just hope they deliver her storyline good, in the right way, she deserves as much. The thing is, I can only think that they're writing it like this because The asshole decided to fire Kelli, or this would have worked differently even if Amanda would have still been shot, she would have maybe decided to take up the sergeant exam and go up the ranks, which she fucking deserves, and try to have a less dangerous carrier but still staying at svu. uuugh I'm so mad at that man and whoever agreed to it.

The fact is that, I always envisioned Amanda taking charge of the svu department after Liv retired/became chief as the end of the tv show. Like, Liv would have left it only to Rollins (since I believe Fin would have retired, I don't see him becoming captain and taking charge of svu, he had to be begged to just become a sergeant lol😂). And if some asshole DW would let it, it could still work, now Amanda leaves and maybe she takes a different job for a couple of years (seasons) or something, in the mean time she becomes sergeant/lieutenant wherever she is, and when the show nears the end we see Olivia maybe deciding to take the chief step and telling the squad 'a new captain is coming take charge of this unit', and eveyone be like 'omg no, an outsider nooo', and then we see Rollins coming in, relief on everyone lol, ADA her husband, and Amanda be like ' I only said yes because you would be the chief I refer to lol not that mcgrath asshole'😂 and voilà we see a whole season of this and then the end of svu. somebody tell Graziano this pleaseee lol.

Anyway, Kelli Giddish fucking delivered this episode wow.

Hey anon! I was pinning my hopes on Sergeant Rollins(-Carisi) taking over SVU in the final episode too - I'm definitely disappointed that not only do we lose Amanda but we don't get to see her take that next step in her career, but I can live with it as long as she goes to something that's right for her character. A lot of the theories floating around don't sit with me because I can't imagine Amanda just staying at home - she's spent so long working hard to protect others I can't see her settling for less than doing the same thing in a different way. And wherever she goes I hope they leave the door open to bring her back - whether for a guest appearance, permanently, or to tie up the show. Kelli <i>absolutely</i> delivered this episode - she's been killing it for so long and whatever role she goes onto next they are very lucky to have her.
