Your thoughts on penguins and puffins?

For the longest time I thought puffins were extinct for no reason. Turns out they're not!

Hello!! Thank you 😊 you as well!! Sorry for the delayed response, I’ve been in California the past couple weeks visiting family. Anyways!

Omgg noo lmao I adore puffins so if they actually went extinct I would cry. I grew up in Maine near the coast so we saw them quite often perched on rocks and stuff. I still remember the field trip I took in 2nd grade where we went puffin-watching on a ferry, and that’s when I first discovered how small puffins actually are!! So cute!!! Also I used to eat Puffins cereal all the time, idk if that adds to this at all but yeah good stuff.

I also love penguins! I think they’re adorable and I’ve always been fascinated by the way they care for their offspring. We have penguins (African and southern rockhopper colonies) at the aquarium where I live and I have to resist the urge to steal one every time I go. I actually even applied once there to work directly in the penguin exhibit but I didn’t qualify because I was too short to stand in the water with them 😭 you have to be at least 5’5” I guess because the water level is high. I’m 5’3” just let me wear tall shoes!
