I haven’t drawn Shard that much as of late and that made me feel somehow a little guilty because I’ve been obsessing over these other robots/computers for the last few months, so whenever I have an idea for a drawing that isn’t Shard related the thing that’s always on the back of my mind is him standing like that one ant

Siffren Trauma Stuff (Warning Spoilers)
-Siffren sometimes wakes up screaming in the night that he’s still in the loops and any happy memories and things he’s doing now are reset. Isabeau finds the best way to help Siffren sleep better is to squeeze his hand while sleeping.
-when living with Isabeau Sriffen had a bad spell of it and begged Isabeau to hide all the sharp objects. Isabeau felt worried when Sriffen had accidentally broke a drinking glass and stared at the shards for a full ten minutes before cleaning them up without incident.
-due to all the Timeceafting Siffrens body smells faintly of sugar, which gets more intense when he sweats or gets anxious. It’s theorized his body is permeated with the Time craft stuff and will always be part of his bodies makeup
-as a result the smell of his own body can sometimes bring back a panic attack, making him think that something will reset time and undo everything.
-Isabeau gradually has to get Siffren used to the idea the smell means nothing and it’s a boon to smell so sweet
-for a long while after tho, Siffren got horrible rashes due to having bad panic attacks over smelling like sugar and attempting to scrub his skin raw to get the smell away.
-Siffren gets better and much to his and others delight, he acts as a mobile air-fresher that can make a room smell sweet like a bakery, especially prevalent in winter evenings with a roaring fireplace going.
-Siffren is a cuddle slut and people can tell when he and Isabeau cuddled or spent any amount of time together because Isabeau would smell heavily of cane sugar.
-a new thing Siffren finds to ground himself is to carry a pocket watch and watch the hands move.
-Isabeau has made Siffren a new eyepatch with a starry eye stitched pattern on it. Ever since this happens Siffren has made at least a weeks worth of groan worthy eye related puns. Bonnie is absolutely delighted.
-Siffren still bumps into stuff out of his field of vision and one time bumped into a store counter so hard he just slumped to the floor and sat there for an hour, remembering the dreaded counter from the time-stricken House of Change. The store felt so bad they gave Siffren a permanent 50% discount. He pays double out of politeness, unless they are selling Malanga Fritters.
-someday, Siffren teaches Bonnie the importance of peppers in Malanga Fritters. They’re the best thing they ever tasted.
In the end, Bonnie moves back home and becomes a Rock craft instructor. They send Siffren and Isabeau a large box of Malanga Fritters to this day.
-Mirabelle becomes a teacher of the House of Change and one day becomes Headmistress. She has a very strict policy on the forbidding of Wishcraft and Timeceaft, except in the grounds of how to identify its use and counter it should it be misused. She one day encounters the God of Change and let’s then know she is very cross with how they treated Siffren. She doesn’t remember the details of the aftermath of that, but she dimly recalls a contest, the terms of which if she wins the Change God has to apologize to Siffren for enjoying watching his Suffering during the loops. She wakes up with an apology letter that is addressed to Siffren which consists of the words “ims sowwy” and a box of Malanga Fritters that never seems to empty for a year.
-Isabeau designs clothes and with Siffren as a model manages to perfect the advanced craftwork that made Siffrens cloaks so comfortable in all temperatures, and even alter itself to grow and change with the wearer. The clothes become a hit across the nation of Vauguaarde and other continents. While Siffrens home nation may be gone for good, some measure of its crafting marvels live on in the clothes Isabeau makes that were reverse engineered from Siffrens own.
-Odile eventually returns home and founds a school to study Time Craft, particularly to study what exactly happened to Siffrens homeland. While it left more questions than answers, the entire populace is now aware of the survivors struggling without memory of growing up, without a past. In Conjunction with Mirabelle, Odile also founds a series of charity orgs that focus on finding the displaced survivors of the disappeared Nation to the North, offering counseling and a means of reconnecting to others. Siffren encounters the Croissant Vendor once again, and through hard work starts to enjoy Croissants once again.
Loop sometimes pops up. They still feel tremendously guilty of attempting to kill Siffren. They managed to work with Odile sometimes, and eventually reconnect with people. They work full time with the Vanished Kingdom Outreach, and find a fulfillment they had missed for so long. Loop tries to give Siffren his coin back, but he has Loop keep it. Loop immediately uses it to buy a croissant from the new vendor in town, who finds him familiar…
-While each of them drift over time, once a year the King Butt Kicker Gang reunite in a cabin and catch up over the years events. They also each attempt to hold Siffrens hands, but by now the Trauma of the Loops and the past are nearly a distant memory.
-The King is still frozen in time, and a resting place is built around them as memorial and reminder that we should all tend to the hurt and the lonely amongst us. While they can’t perceive anything but the name of their country, somehow he is aware that Sriffens clothes have become something everyone wears and holds dear. His heart leaps with joy during these locked moments, as he realizes all along these fragmented artifacts are more than enough to have the world remember the Nation that Was, in some way or another. He will never become unfrozen, but this is his personal choice. He would rather be frozen with the name of his Country fresh in his memory, than die without it.
———-
Stiffen grows old with Isabeau and his friends, and they even make new ones that are in awe of their tale of heroism, tragedy, and comraderie.
And while Sriffen still can’t stand the taste of bananas, they all lived happily ever after.

no more distractions, only boss time
oh man that is not ominous at all nope
EGG (and the shadiest resting place of all time. I don‘t like the sounds of breathing in the background either)
Oh hey it’s a normal bench. Cool. Also apparently we are 96% complete. I‘m missing a single mask and vessel piece, are those the other 4?
SLDDKSLF the violin crescendo-ing in anticipation. Oh man, this is it huh. Okay, here we go
I t i s l o o k i n g a t m e
there‘s more tones joining the violin, all higher than the last to end in a crescendo of dreadful anticipation. Oh man that is some excellent auditory design right there
Yup. There it is.
NO HOLD UP WHY IS THAT PAL DOING THE SHAW, IT’S DOING HORNETS MOVE
Are they actually actually related am I killing her parent or sibling or smth is that why she both still looks exactly like it and is hanging out here cuz the whole place got sealed by her family
the music change in phase three is cool too, really somber. Befitting of an end, really.
…Ah. I was wondering what the weird repeating squish sound was. That…that explains it. God and the actual attacks are slower too now. That‘s just…that’s all so messed up.
(I wonder, did they tell it this would happen? Did it know, that it was only a matter of time? That it‘d always have to end this way?)
You can‘t dreamnail it either, btw - it‘s just getting blocked. I got the upgrade, so maybe it needs the full 2400 power; or perhaps those dreams have long since been sealed away?
Three phases and that was it. And finally using the focus for what it was most likely intended for, all along.
Guess my first assumption of playing as the Hollow Knight isn‘t so far off now after all, is it?
"Congratulations- Good job on accomplishing this heroic task“ it was a task for sure. But heroic? No, no i don‘t think so. Not the way things are. Not the way Hallownest is and will continue to be. Not the way the cycle is bound to go on.
Really tho this is a VERY good game, the gameplay is on point and so are the level design, sound, presentation, etc. It was very fun to come up with theories and seeing them turn true or false- and props in that regard for setting clues and allusions up in a way that lets you actually come up with said theories and guesses in the first place, without feeling like it was super convoluted or totally obvious at the same time. That‘s quite a feat too. This was the normal ending as far as I‘m aware, so there‘s definitely some extra context/lore/story to be had, and I‘m gonna get those too. So, sorry to anyone who thought the hollow knight tag was free of spamming, it‘ll most likely be a while still.
I can see why people are waiting for Silksong so badly.
As it stands, I completed this game with 96%, in 46h 17m 24s. Yep, definitely those missing shards.
HARDCODE MODE akslflslfls and they’re making you speedrun this mode too yea no I‘m never gonna 100% achievements wow oof
the background changed and its basically a beating heart I do still wonder if getting another ending might shed some light (hah) on why the syrup juice sickness corruption etc has a synced heart beat. This isn‘t the first time it had one. Hm.

#wolqotd’s from twitter, Adelline Roux edition
> Hoes does your wol(oc) feel about their name? (from RikaXIV on twt) related q:  depending on culture or circumstance, does your WoL have an alias or multiple names? How did they get their new name? (from OriWhiteDeer on twt)
Adelline enjoys her name quite a lot since she’s distanced herself from her birthplace so much, she no longer has any connection to her birth parents or tribe.
>  Does your WoL have a signature hairstyle or is your WoL like me who fancies changing hairstyles every now and then? (from rinkunffxiv)
Gyr Abanian Plait. Adelline has a tendency to neglect taking care of her hair (in that she leaves it long) so Vynya tied it up in this style and it hasn’t changed (much) since. [Tho I have tried other, shorter hairstyles I always go back to the plait in the end)
>  Just out of curiosity, how old are your WoLs in your canon? (from Mortinfami ART (answered last year))
Adelline would be in her early 30s now based on how I personally see the story progression (which is the irl time it takes for the patch releases is how long it takes for the year to progress. I’m sorry, Thancred did not go through All of That in a few months)
> who's your wol/oc's favorite twin: alpinhaud, or alisaie? (from protractions on twt)
Adelline favors Alphinaud a LITTLE more. Part of it is feeling partially responsible for a lot of the things that have gone wrong during the story. She’s usually attentive to details, she missed many things in the early days in Eorzea as she was preoccupied with Raze and Vynya’s safety in a new continent. She also feels more comfortable nudging him back on track when she has the mind to. Also she’s never had a brother, she only has a sister. So she likes the novelty
> I assume the question was about the WoL’s feelings about the end of Crystal Tower, but the tweet no longer exists sadly
Adelline (and Raze) was pretty sad about it. She does not enjoy people sacrificing themselves (hi shb) but she knows too well from travelling that partings come, but she still wasn’t prepared for a parting like this.
>  I have another incredibly important wol question. summer theme let's go. could they crush a(n allagan) watermelon between their thighs. (from catnipfarm)
Adelline could with a bit of effort. And by effort, I mean you need to get the “why” through to her.
> (Endwalker spoilers)  While recovering from the final fight with Zenos, who comes to visit them? Do they even want/allow visitors? (from InMyLeyLines)
Adelline didn’t get to choose either way, Raze made sure of that. Adelline allowed it, not only because Raze suddenly became a miqo’te shaped octopus, but also because if she didn’t, Raze probably wouldn’t have slept well.
 >  If your ffxiv character wasn't the warrior of light, what would they be instead? Job quest npc? Custom deliveries npc? Raid story npc? Whacky sidequest npc? (from Loudwindow)
Adelline was a wanderer before she became the WoL in her plotline, and that’s what she (and the others) would be if she was never chosen/a shard of Azem.
>  How did your WoL take learning about their Azem? (from faeth_s)
Adelline doesn’t care. The past is past and Azem isn’t her anymore regardless of what people say about it thus she holds no attachment to the identity or name, both good and bad. [I have not thought extensively about my WoL’s Azems because I don’t deep dive into lore enough to do that.)
>  What's the most unnatural job for your WoL to play? What's the least suited to them as a person/their combat style? (from byletri)
Healing and pure magic classes of any kind. She prefers being upfront to cover the more magically adept fighters.
>  Inspired by a recent question about what scents they like: I want to know what their magic smells like! If they're not a caster, are there any scents you associate with particular kinds of magic in general? (from InMyLeyLines)
Adelline's is either like a completely sterilized room or a restaurant's spice cabinet
>  WOL/OC question: what disciple of the land/hand jobs do you consider canon for your WOL? Is there any special context in their story? Are there some that they like and partake in but maybe aren't very good at? (from thancredulous)
Adelline likes Alchemy. She’s especially good at potion brewing and making drinks, Everything else she’s not super good at. Usually she applies too much force but she’s somehow managed to be patient and careful enough for potions
>  Did your Wol want to be a Wol? (from RikaXIV)
Absolutely not. All Adelline concerned herself with before was keeping her family safe, but now she had to do that and she could no longer make the decision that they could just leave the area when things got too dangerous.
>  What type of crier is your WoL? Loud, ugly-sobbing type, or perhaps it takes far too much to get even a single tear? (from WoLQuestions)
Adelline doesn’t cry outwardly. She’ll stubbornly hold it in until it becomes FAR too much (such as what happened with “In From the Cold”) but even then, it’s quietly and in private. Not even Raze has seen her break down.
>  On a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being incredibly easy, and 10 being nearly impossible, how difficult is it to date your WoL/RP OC? (from ChubScarlet)
10. She’s in a committed relationship and I don’t do polyships.  But just for fun, Adelline would realistically be an 8 because you need to be pretty fucking blunt with her.
>  everyone wants an ishgardian ballroom scene but how well would your wol actually handle all those noble lords and ladies mobbing them for dances (from radicrow)
Adelline would hate it because she’s just plain not interested.
>  Who is your WoL’s emotional support? (from WoLQuestions)
Raze and her sister, Vynya. She HAS gotten closer to the scions enough to consider them true companions but she wouldn’t go to them for her own emotional needs.
>  What kind of video games would your wol play in a modern AU? Any reason for that? (from CGekkou)
Adelline would play RPGs. She’ll also play MonHun on co-op with Vynya or Stardew with Raze (raze LOVES stardew). Her favorite series is Atelier (but don’t tell anyone).
>  Your WoL returns to their childhood home. How do they react? (from AnrhiOri)
She doesn’t care. She has no attachment to that land and she would leave as soon as she could.
>  What would be your WoL's catchphrase when you select them in the Trust menu? (from FF_XIV_EN (official)
if healer, "If I have to.." If Tank or DPS, "Don't dawdle."
>  Cringe/comedy/awkward scenario— given how known the WoL is now; what would YOUR WoL/D do if just outside the Rising Stones a bunch of obnoxious fans now gather to try and get a glimpse of them??? (from SmolWol)
Adelline pushes her way through while being absolutely embarrassed to the seven hells by the attention
>  where was your wol during the calamity at the end of 1.0? (from bardings)
On another continent, she hadn’t yet made it to eorzea with the others.
Non qotd facts from my twt: > Adelline is a TERRIBLE liar > She had several scars, due to being a melee fighter. So she’s littered with small cuts and probably a few puctures > she has said her name was “Nyadelline” to Raze once while shitfaced drunk. Raze punched her for it.
Adelline’s class path:  (2.0) WAR > (2.1+) SAM > (3.0) SAM > (4.0) SAM > (5.0) SAM > (6.0) RPR

I AM ADDICTED TO STARDEW IMPACT!!! Ngl tho I could use Xiao’s stamina in the mines. Especially in the Wilderness farm.
What kind of farms did the boys and their s/o landed on tho??
Stardew Valley [Genshin Impact AU]
Tumblr media
Synopsis: Which farm suits their personality (Continuation of Stardew Impact <.<)
Characters: Diluc, Kaeya, Xiao, Zhongli, Childe, Albedo
Thank you! I’m happy that you like it hehe. Honestly both Xiao and Zhongli. I still can’t get through Skull Cavern floor 100, Xiao would be super good at handling monsters while Zhongli can do some fast mining cuz I’m out of bombs lol.
-----------------------
Diluc: Forest farm
Trees and secluded areas? Perfectly goes with that lone sojourner persona of his (you can’t convince me otherwise after this vid)
But consider his status as a wine owner, the forest farm is very appealing to him (most likely why the Dawn Winery was located near Wolvendom anyways), quality wood is extremely crucial for making kegs and barrels to store ingredients so they won’t go bad. Diluc finds this map very profitable for his business.
This is why most of the buildings on your land is made of wood. Thank god he doesn’t have his pyro vision.
But Diluc genuinely likes the fragrance of trees. After a long day of work, he likes to go out and just inhale the scent of damp moss combined with the woody smell attached to it, his mind feels alleviated from all the stress that was piling up
Bonus: Fruit bats. Foraging is a must to make good wine and mushrooms are out of the question (for now)
Kaeya: Beach farm
It’s the best place to get your suntans amirite? Honestly if this was a modern AU (which technically is), he’s totally the type of uni student to spend most of his weekends outside near the beach like the typical chad he is.
Plus he likes the variety, not just trees all the time because they’re boring. He enjoys the vast space and the ability to just look at the horizon whenever he needs to. It’s a habit of his. The sky holds many signs, it tells you the weather, shows you the time of day, it holds the stars in which determines the fate of humanity. Though...he doesn’t need to worry about those things anymore hmm?
Looks forwards to crates washing up onshore. Kaeya is very lucky actually (pirate’s luck?) Rather than mixed seeds (cuz fuck those), expect him to bring back some triple shot expressos, omnigeodes, artifact troves etc...
He was so lucky he once tried his luck at the casino. But stopped shortly after you found out and got mad at him.
Bonus: Mushroom cave. He heard you can make some very useful potions with them, or he can try mixing it with his wine.
Xiao: Riverland farm (what I chose uwu)
There’s something so serene about this environment. The type of guy just likes to chill by a river stream while sitting on top of a tree branch. Xiao uses the noise almost like a meditative practice, something he most likely did back in Liyue too. He can close his eyes and listen to it for hours.
Since this map is mainly good for fishing, it works generously in his favour. He can refill the water can whenever he needs to since watering crops is the only farm-related activity he can actually handle. He’s rather quite good at catching fish (although in a peculiar way) plus feeding them to your pet cat.
But Xiao dislikes how easily materials fall into the water. While he was chopping the trees down to clear out some space, it toppled down the wrong side and he lost most of the materials. Forever. Ugh, what a pain.
At least it’s less likely to be a mess. Through seasons, rocks and fallen trees tend to pile up. Thanks to the river taking up most of the space, he wouldn’t have to worry about clearing up land so much.
Bonus: Mushroom cave. Not because he likes mushrooms but he dislikes bats. Their constant squeaking is annoying.
Zhongli: Standard farm
Vanilla guy through and through. His taste in things tend to be very plain in general but as long as they meet the necessary requirements of what makes a perfect farm then there’s no need to complain. He takes farm work very seriously so it makes sense that he gets picky of what there is to offer.
The amount of land gets him very enthusiastic about how he wants to decorate it (he literally formed the land of Liyue so surely he must have some architect related knowledge). Has barns, coops, vineyards, seasonal crops grouped in an organized fashion.
Though that also means a lot of maintenance is required. Clean up, clearing the fern, fixing up broken fences. Many broken fences because he puts fences all over the place.
But because he’s so good at what he does, you guys make so much money. Perfectly balances his super-spending habit of his.
Bonus: Fruit bats. Mushrooms don’t have a very pleasant smell.
Childe: Wilderness farm
Are you surprised? Because I’m not. He can have combating activities for days. Childe is very adventurous at heart (hence why he joined the adventures guild) with bloodthirst that needs to be quenched.
This is why his combat level high (though it’s already high). He normally takes on treasure hoarders or mitachurls to test his abilities, the variety of monsters proved to be very entertaining to him. Vincent became his number 1 fan after listening to all the cool tales about him.
It’s very inconvenient for farm work though, you can never be too sure when a slime is about to jump on your back as you’re planting your seeds. The only plus side is that Childe helps you get some cool drops (including prismatic shards!) which can save you time with the community center.
Not ideal for fishing. Often you guys end up catching trash. You complain a lot and he begins to get annoyed with how many interruptions they bring. Well, it was fun while it lasted at least.
Bonus: Mushroom cave. He’ll need healing potions, lots of them.
Albedo: Hill-top farm
Not too much land, rivers aren’t too much either, everything was just right. The right amount of environment for cultivating his materials for his research. Albedo thinks the elevating platforms are pretty neat, very easy to locate the different areas when you can spot them easily.
A fan of studying the rocks of this world hence why this farmland is good for mining. Though the downfall was that not much farm work could be done, Albedo could care less unless crops were raised for formulas.
You will always find him outside, most likely by the southwest hilltop trying to gather precious ores and any signs of omnigeodes. After that, he goes to Rasmodius’ tower and conducts his experiments there. Albedo is restless ever since.
But the gifts you receive will always be interesting. You also like go mining in the caves, Albedo always crafts the necessary tools for you beforehand. You will never have to worry about missing anything.
Bonus: both. Mushroom and bats. Demetrius told him it was impossible, not like it was an issue anymore.

hello! how are you? i hope you're doing fine, um i'm here because i wanted to ask if you can write about armin falling in love with someone who's related to art, like a painter and suddenly discovering a whole new world. i will be so happy if you can do it.
thank you and please, stay healthy! 💗
Hi💛 of course! I really love that idea! Plus as a painter myself the struggle is real man, just yesterday i was having an overwhelming meltdown over what type of brushes to buy.
You seem really lovely so here's a mini fic! 🌸
Armin falling in love with a Painter!reader
{ Armin x reader | tw: none | fluff, pinning | modern }
Tumblr media
{ "The Cathedral of Saint Jacques le Mineur, Liege" 1846 by Jenaro Pérez Villaamil 1807 - 1854 }
Reading is Armin's best friend, it always has been. It kept him company on countless sleepless nights as a child, and now it offered the escape his soul needed when overwhelmed with troubles of being a living human in this current world.
"It's just captivating," he explained to you one day while walking together, happily clutching the bags of books he just baught. You like how they smell. For someone who reads a lot, he surely seems to be out of words when it comes to describing things he's passionate about.
The winds picks up, your steps slow down. Armin is staring at your face, but it's not your eyes he's looking at. You smile and it brings him back to reality, he looks away, shifting his weight from one leg to the other.
You offer to hold some of the heavy bags for him, he gives a warm smile. You think the faint color on his cheek is a really nice shade of pink, it looks lovely under the sun.
The more he took you with him on trips to the far away bookshop near the Riverside, the more you started to understand how a rearranging of words can pull him inside an entirely different world.
It was like he could be his true self when there, carefully reading the description at the back of the books. Frowning whenever he finds a review instead of a summary. you didn't mind tho, because it ment he'd have to read a few pages into the book and the shop had a nice corner couch you two would sit in.
He'd apologise for troubling you, you'd say he's never a bother for you that and reassure him that you enjoyed every last second.
Ah, there it is, that nice shade of pink again.

-
In some way he managed to share his love for books with you, as you spend entire afternoons just sitting near each other. Your sketchbook in hand, the sound of your pencil lightly scratching the paper. Him next to you, his book in hand and reading just loud enough for you to hear.
You think he has a nice voice, so you say it out loud. For the rest of the evening, he stuttered through half the book.
You laugh at the funny moments together, be it a clever joke the author weaved in a serious moment or an incredibly redundant cliche trope that while predictable, was still as enticing.
He would always look at you whenever you let a chuckle escape, staring just for a couple seconds longer than necessary.
That sketch ended up getting turned into a painting when Armin walked you home that day.
-
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to!"
Blue glass shards are scattered on the table and floor, what remained of Armin's favourite mug. The puddle of coffee already sweeping into the canvas you left to dry there this morning.
It took you three days just for the layering.
It was a big canvas, cotton paper and natural wood. It cost a lot.
You know this feeling when you're so so broken about something that your brain just skips the denial and anger and jumps straight into depression? To say you were mad was an underestimated, and rightfully so.
Armin is trying to remove the coffee stains with the nearest towel he could find, it only smudges the paint more.
He looks terrfied.
"It was an accident I swear, I'd never..." his voice takes a higher pitch, hands shaking. "I'd never, ever mean to do this...I..." he hiccups, Voice quivering..
And just like that, all you anger fades away.
"Armin, hey" you take a step closer, carefully avoiding the broken glass.
He doesn't look at you, he's still desperate wiping the canvas. "I'll fix it, please I'll figure out a way."
The clutch he has on the towel only intensifies when you put your hand on his shoulder. "It's okay," you say "it's fine really, look at me."
And he does, with shame filled eyes. "No no no, it's not. I ruined it, your worked so hard on this and I just..." He looks down "it's NOT okay."
"Yes it is." You try to guide him away from the glass. "That's just a material object Armin, what's important is that you're okay."
He reluctantly follows, you both sit on the couch. His hands are clutching his knees. "I'm really sorry, it's okay if you want to yell at me you have the right to."
You cup his face in your hands, "don't say that, that's not true. It was an accident, I'd never ever yell at you."
Shock is clear in his eyes, his arms leave his knees to wrap around you, pulling you closer. His face buried in your shoulder. You stroke his back. Both of you stay like this for a long while, neither of you seems to want to let go.
At night, when he's getting ready to leave and go back home. You walk him to the door and he kisses your cheek as a goodbye.
the shade of pink you grew to love really goes along with his smile.
-
"Close your eyes and hold out your hand."
With the sparkle in his blue eyes and his hands hiding something behind his back, how could you say no.
So you do, and you feel his hand brushing against yours before a light weight is dropped on your palms. He gives you the okay so you open your eyes, an envelope.
It's cream white with a straw ribbon around it, it looks too good to open but you do anyway.
"Is that..." his smile grows as you pull out the card and paper inside, "a membership card."
"For the art course you've been saving up for! You seemed really excited when talking about it." He takes a step closer, tilting his head to the side as his blond hair brush against his neck. "Do you like it?"
"Armin I love it!" You're so happy that you don't dwell on it before pulling him into a hug, he eagrly hugs back and his hand lingers on you when you pull away. "But...isn't it too expensive ? How did you.."
His lips press into a thin line as he looks to the side, "don't worry about it, I've been also saving for a different reason."
Oh...yeah you know the reason, Eren’s been telling it to everyone after all. The three of them agreed to go on a trip overseas, even Mikasa seemed genuinely excited.
You look at him, you look at the envelope containing the art course of your dreams, you put the card back inside.
"I can't, " you hold it out for him, "you can still return this, they're very lean with their policies."
He doesn't take it. "Yes, yes you can. This isn't just because I feel bad for what i did, it's because..." he holds your hand in his, "because I want you to have it, you deserve the world and if i can I'd give it to you."
"But what about Mikasa and Eren, you know they've been looking forward for this."
"They'll understand that i can't come, and if they don't it's okay, they'll still enjoy it by themselves." He cups your face, looking at you like you're the only person in the world, "It's just a material thing after all, you aren't."
-
Armin likes to get out of his comfort zone evey once in a while, he likes to try new things no matter how intimidating they look.
Which is why, seeing him hesitantly entering the art classroom was not a surprise. His wide eyes switching their focuses between all the different objects in the room, from the canvas with a glaze shine on them, ready to get painted. Or the different shapes and sizes or brushes, the ones near the water jars looking softer than the rest.
You should've seen this coming, with Eren and Mikasa away on their trip, Armin has been hanging around you all the time. Not that you're complaining.
Looking at your still drying canvas, you quickly cleaned off your brush before using a towel to wipe your hands and elbows from paint stains.
"Armin," you said, amusement in your voice at seeing the blond out of his usual element. His curious eyes focus on you and he says a small hi with a wave.
You walk him through the basics, he nods while you explain the pros and cons of each paint type, what type of paintings it goes with and which techniques are the most common.
After a couple minutes of him asking you to show him to use certain things and hold some brushes, he settles down for watercolors. You think it's adorably fitting.
While picking his brushes, you explain how in order to not damage the cotton papers, they have the softest hairs. To make your point, you take his arm in your hand and run a soft brush against his palm. He laughs softly saying it tickles, it's contagious and you're laughing too soon.
He picks the seat next to you, looking lost with the short brush in his hand and the already wet canvase. But it's a nice kind of lost, like the way a child would look at a new toy.
While he expriments at the corner of the canvas with different brushes and swipes the colors, other people start filling the room and soon enough everyone has taken their seats.
The instructer begans setting up today's study object, a couple of pink Camellias in a tinted turquoise vase, creating a nise color contrast.
You stare at them for a while, wondering where did you see that fimilar faint of pink. The question answers itself when Armin taps your shoulder and ask how to start layering the paint
-
It's around sunset when the two of you are walking together, he's talking about all the new things he never knew about art that he just discovered today. You're listening to him while nodding occasionally, it's when he stops mid-rant that you look at him.
"I just realised something" he says, before facing you.
"Oh? And what is it"
He looks at you, really looks at you. The sun is shining behind you as it says its last goodbyes for the day, making you look heavenly. "I realised that...I'm deeply in love with you"

Super sexy aa7 ideas that will never happen
*puts on my clown shoes
Themes: the worst times are when lawyers have to smile their brightest, but you can’t be a lawyer 24/7” “sometimes (esp now) the system is WRONG”
CASE 1
Klavier Gavin prosecutes, because society has progressed beyond needing Paynes
And if the widespread complaint is that he’s too nice, this position is perfect
Make a witty remark abt feeling demoted >:(
Athena and Trucy dream team girls
Murder took place at a theater/has something to do with acoustics, to ~fit the characters~
Maybe Lamiroir was there 👀
Phoenix is once again a witness, but hes less infuriating. But still fucking funny infuriating
He mentions his college degree, vaguely. Pressing him reveals nothing.
Also address that TRUCY AND KLAVIER PROBABLY HAVE SOME TRAUMA FROM MURDERS AT THEIR PERFORMANCES
Defend a rando
The twist: the murder only could’ve been committed by someone with superhuman hearing, so Athena’s senses are vital here!!
End: the culprit tries to psychologically fuck with everyone, but Athena stays strong, maybe uses some noise cancelling headphones, and corners the SHIT out of them
Also, there’s a new judge. A higher judge than your normal judge, who is a boomer. BOOMER JUDGE
Post-trial: a comment about all them missing Apollo…
CASE 2
Athena vs Franziska von Karma
Athena calls her out on the whipping if that’s still a thing
[Maybe Trucy is there again for extra spice,,,] but Solo Thena would be EPIC
NEW FRANZISKA DESIGN
Maybe we can bring Maya back here, but NOT ACCUSE HER FOR MURDER
Or accuse her at the scene but quickly disprove it
Idk also address her trauma
Wow this is turning into ATHENA CYKES- ACE THERAPIST
Put Simon there too because he’s hilarious
Maybe him and Maya are casually attending Comic-Con for the Steel Samurai panel
Defendant: some toxic celebrity with DRAMA
the twist: the murderer was targeting several high-profile ppl, but only killed like. A janitor instead. They aren’t found OR arrested, but you get a not guilty by… indicting their accomplice. And it HURTS but you have to or its your not-guilty kinda-a-dick client that gets guilty
New judge plays by the written rules, so u can’t ague ur case
Franziska is skeptical of the Accomplice’s guilt, but she lets the verdict go because your client is innocent.
Athena cries to Phoenix about how she feels like she fricked up b/c she empathizes with the accomplice but also everyone, Phoenix does his best dad comfort—this is the truth that’s allowed in the confines of their court system.
CASE 3
NARUMITSU DATE
Open with a call from Maya. She loudly thanks the god/the holy mother for this
MURDER!!! AT THE VENUE
Kay and Sebastian are there
GUMSHOEEEEE (OLDER SPRITE??? Higher salary?? Maggey too?)
Classic Wright vs Edgeworth
All the options are flirty
Everything is an innuendo
Trucy co-council is embarrassed by ur Old Man Flirting (NEW SPRITES)
Lampshade conflict of interest what with dating opposing council. Gloss over it completely
Phoenix’s college degree is vaguely mentioned to be helping him. This is Not elaborated on
The murder is some crazy shit that basically parodies the whole series
TWO SETS OF EVIL TWINS
3 cross poisonings and with INTERESTING results of chemicals mixing (Ema: 👀)
All the dying messages were faked
Handedness contradiction.
Some gross old guy appears, but you can punch him
The murder weapon goes from bloody knife with defendants fingerprints on it to glass shards of a broken bottle to an icicle to an overly spikey piece of hair
EXTRATERRITORIAL RIGHTS
For extra funnies: BOOMER JUDGE IS NOT USED TO THIS. They are the straight person of this comedy clown case.
For extra feels (the twist): Phoenix actually has an emotional breakdown on one of the investigation days. Maybe Trucy gets put at risk again, or something with poisoning, or even something with Kay or Seb (to show how much Phoenix cares, in general) and we address all the shit that he’s gone thru
Awkward comforting by miles
HUG SPRITE/ART
CASE 4
(shoves Klavier into Khura’in) GO FAKEGERMANBOY GO
Play as Apollo (khura’inese clothes sprites)
KLAVIER CO-COUNCIL (CASUAL SPRITES?? Put his hair up in a bun capcom im begging)
ADRESS AA4
Maybe at the end of one investigation, theres just. A heartfelt talk.
Ok ill make it heavy (b/c if its lighthearted these fuckos will never talk about their feelings)
LAMIROIR IS HERE TOO??
TRUCY ALSO- im sorry truce im shoving you everywhere because I want you to develop
maybe she and Klavier are like, performer bros
Apollo is happy that Trucy is but also feels alienated, like AA6 totally pulled him from his AA4 roots [COUGH]
CASUAL TRUCY SPRITE??? I would cry capcom
Nahyuta, Rayfa, and Apollo being awkward but trying (and mostly succeeding) siblings, Amara being a scary but p good queen momther
FRANZISKA INTERNATIONAL PROSECUTING??? Idk it’d be epic tho
She roasts Klavier so bad
Though he is very smart so she just roasts his terrible German
Resolve the Gramarye siblings here?
Include something with gender dysphoria to contrast how they butchered Robin Newman???
This is huge headcanon territory here tho
The Twist: realizing that this case cannot POSSIBLY be resolved in 3 fucking days. Also that Apollo is so backlogged that hes stressed and he probably needs help
Also someone tries to frame Klavier with his Gavinners-brand shoeprints
End: answer yes/no to Klavier working at Justice Law Offices. The choice affects his dialogue with Apollo in 7-5
CASE 5
Some fuckin. International level scandal
Elaborate on whatever the fuck “the phantom” was spying for? btw is the same that the culprits froms 7-2 and 7-4. maaybe 7-1?
And it involves MORE AUDITORIUMS
Open w/ calling Trucy, whos in the states. She mentions that Klavier casually got a Japanifornian defense attorney badge. Cue exasperation/fondness/incredulity (I promise this is relevant)
In Khura’in
Starts small- like a robbery, which leads to an attempt on Thalassa’s life. Again
Athena gets to therapy her
Then someone high-profile actually fucking dies
Athena (co-council Apollo) vs FINAL BOSS FRANZISKA
Lots of investigating with them
Talk about space center and grief
The twist: a person with low emotional output is framed, but they are innocent because LOWER EMOTIONAL REACTIONS DOESN’T MAKE YOU FUCKING EVIL
The other twist: Bring in 7-2 framed person for a character witness, show that they’re innocent. Athena is panicking because of Fear(?) so Apollo is determined to Do Something, and points out how this only happened because the system is Stupid and calls Klavier and Trucy
BECAUSE:
At the same time, there’s a stateside investigation. some botched, continued interreference at the Space Station
Klavier can pull an Edgeworth and investigate with Trucy
With parently narumitsu
Klavier talks about Apollo a lot, Trucy calls him out on it
Nahyuta is prosecuting this case
Depending on the relations between Klavier and Nahyuta established in 7-4, this will be hilarious or disastrous
Protective Yuty route: makes scathing comments about petty parts of Klavier- a petty-off
Teasing Yuty route: brings it up whenever Klavier talks about Apollo. Rlly funny banter. Klavier showing more human emotions sprites!!
Revisit the Space Center and get emo. Simon is here, arguing with Nahyuta
Because the cases go to trial simultaneously, the comment about the wrong conviction in 7-2 can be brought to the Japanifornian courts by Klavier and Trucy
They argue that Athena was forced to do that to spare an innocent and press HARD for legal reform
They call in Chief Prosecutor Edgeworth for reforms??
They also start a twitter war (that can be investigation minigame) and get public opinion up abt it
Yuty vouches for change, w/ khura’in as evidence
SO AA4 CAN GET KINDA RESOLVED!!
DUNK ON BOOMER JUDGE
BONUS: CASE 6: TURNABOUT CHILLOUT
Phoenix vs Franziska
Larry time
Scruffy time
Idk man. No more international stuff, just good old fashioned cleaning up ur shitty dad’s messes amiright
Resolve things with the Shelly card?
oldbag cameo but you file a restraining order
help trucy and pearls with college
TLDR: Athena actually tracks an international conspiracy that has weight, the AJ gang once again changes the system, Phoenix gets emotional resolution, Franziska helps international stuff AND gets emotional resolution, and i finally stop trying to throw hands with capcom.

Texture anon: What do you like then ? I’m curious since I’m also a texture eater and there’s just so many textures I can’t stand.
So on top of the texture thing I also hate cooking (mostly bc adhd means I don't start until I'm ravenously hungry and then I'm impatient. It's a whole thing.).
For breakfast I eat a lot of cereal, but I also like muffins, bagels, and other baked goods. Pancakes and French toast are also good. Sometimes fruit or yogurt. I usually cut up a banana on my cereal (I know a lot of people find them slimy but I don't for whatever reason.), bc there's a lot of good stuff in bananas. Also, oatmeal is great bc you actually can vary the texture wildly by altering the amount of liquid you use and the length of time you cook it for. Plus it comes in easy to store packages and a million flavors. So if you're in a dorm room or a place where you don't have a full kitchen, then you can just get an electric kettle and that'll work great. In a pinch you can even use a coffee maker without any coffee in it to make hot water. I used to use the keurig at work for boiling water all the time. So you can take a coffee cup, put a packet or two of oatmeal in it, and cook it in the microwave or with hot water, and then add some coffee creamer to doctor the flavor and texture. Before I was DX and realized that my issues making food and being hungry at work were 100% adhd related I used to feel lazy about keeping this kind of food in my desk but now I realize I was working with my brain and it's ok.
Lunch, well...I don't eat lunch so I've got nothing. I used to eat salad sometimes tho. I'm not talking healthy salad. Find a texture of lettuce you don't hate. Then cover it in cheese, egg, bacon bits, and dressing. It's A+.
For dinner...I will eat pretty much anything with pasta in it bc I like both the taste and texture of pasta. I also love Chinese food but like only certain kinds. And for YEARS I would eat lo mein and spend ages picking out all the inedible bits until I realized I could order it with no veggies and my life would be better. I also like crab Rangoon and sweet n sour chicken. So that's what I eat at Chinese places. Most meat is ok if I can see it so I can cut off the gristle. The other thing is if there's something you like the taste of but not the texture, look for it in another form. Like I mentioned I hate the texture of tomatoes. So I just found the smoothest pasta sauce on the market (prego) and use that. There's still chunks of tomato but they're large and easy to pick out. It's the little nasty shards of tomato skin that I can't deal with and it's fortunately low on that and doesn't have nasty random pieces of onion. There's also nothing wrong with like running your sauce through a blender to make it smooth. I'll also use onion powder in place of onions when I can and if you like garlic but hate the texture, garlic powder is another good option. Some foods I'll take the risk for tho. Like I looove bourbon chicken and I just play gristle roulette when I'm having an OK texture day. Vs like that one time I got an unprocessed chunk of pork in a hot dog and that was literally probably almost 30 years ago and I STILL will only eat turkey hot dogs. Which reminds me...sometimes it's also the way you cook something. I love the taste of bacon but hate the texture so instead of a sad bacon-less existence I'll either burn it crispy in the pan, bake it in the oven (which converts the gristle texture of the fat to something acceptable.), or eat turkey bacon....god turkey bacon is so good. But yeah if I go out I ask them to burn the bacon so they actually get it crispy enough. Rice also has an acceptable texture, so that gives me another filler/staple food that isn't pasta. Oh, I also love mashed sweet potatoes. Use whipping cream when you make them so they get nice and creamy. A little brown sugar and coconut on top, cook for 15 mins, and awwww yas. I like sushi, too, but only certain kinds. It took me YEARS to find sushi I enjoyed. Mostly if it has eel, yellowtail, or tempura shrimp in it I'll eat it. Eel is actually really frikkin good and doesn't have the gross texture the name implies. Avocados are good too, but I have the cilantro soap gene so guacamole is nasty. Avocado + tuna fish + Swiss cheese on an English muffin is great and not terrible for you. Also I love Mac n cheese. Like kraft dinner in the blue box because I like junk food. My favorite food is ice cream.
Oh! If you never have before, try a Rainier cherry and a white peach. They're both far superior to their more common cousins. Rainier cherries are only in season for like two months around now, but they're worth it.
So basically, when it comes to textures I don't like but tastes that I do like I try to change the form the thing comes in so I can eat it. Btw, idk how you feel about soda but I hate the fizz and I've found code red mountain dew to have a low amount of fizz so that's what I drink when I want caffeine.

What is hyalokinesis?
Tumblr media
Hyalokinesis (also known as vitreokinesis) is the ability to manipulate glass.
I have yet to meet someone else with this mutation so I am not sure if other hyalokinetics can do all these things, but so far I have been able to:
- move glass with my mind
- levitate it
- change its shape (for example, I could make a cube out of a marble. I can make statues out of glass, but I am not Michelangelo so they don't come out that pretty)
- join together multiple pieces of glass (I made cute stained glass art this way!)
- fix broken glass (you have no idea how many times I fixed my brother's phone screen. You would think that a telekinetic would not drop his phone so much and yet)
- making it glow (this probably relates to my other mutation, luminescence)
- making it stronger than regular glass
I cannot create glass from nothing, but I can multiply it so I can get large amounts starting from a tiny shard.
I can also manipulate things that are only partially made of glass, to an extent: I could make your phone levitate even tho its not 100% glass, but I could not change its whole shape, just the shape of its glass components. Its harder than manipulating things that are completely made of glass, but its not impossible.
Other things that I can manipulate are mirrors (as they are partially made from glass), optical fiber (cause they're basically just these thin threads made of glass) and I guess I could manipulate obsidian too? I mean, its a natural volcanic glass so it would make sense. Never tried tho so idk.
So far I had to use my mutation to harm someone only once, in self defence, and I would rather not do it again.

content warning for discussions of bullying and brief references to (canon) child abuse
“Why did Kacchan do that?” Izuku asks. It’s one of those shards of memory that lingers far longer than it should, muddying over years and re-rememberings, but never completely fading away.
Izuku can remember the question, his grazed knees, the sun shining on the grass. He can remember his mother helping clean him up, smiling a comforting smile and saying, “I don’t know, sweetie. I think he was angry.”
Izuku isn’t sure if the question that comes next comes from his mother, or if it’s just something he’s thought about so much over the years that it’s gotten tangled up in the memory, an unwitting passenger. “Don’t you get angry, Izuku?” someone asks.
ao3 link / continued below
In hindsight, Izuku is sure the thoughts that come next can’t be part of the memory. His five year old self wouldn’t be capable of this kind of self-analysis. But the thing is, Izuku thinks he knows what anger is. It’s not really that distinct from other kinds of overwhelmed, when the world is too loud, too much, too impatient and needling - and so he cries, because this happens every time a feeling is too large to hold all of it inside him, and ‘wanting not to cry’ is always one of those feelings, so there’s no way out.
Izuku supposes he must have thrown tantrums when he was little. Thrown his toys around, fallen on the floor, screamed. He can’t remember doing any of that.
He’s never felt whatever Kacchan is feeling when he pushes Izuku into the dirt. He tries to imagine it, a feeling bubbling over into bright, harsh action, like Kacchan’s explosions. He can almost get there, but after comes a sweep of shame that pulls him back into himself. Izuku Midoriya, quirkless and strange, who causes enough problems without pushing other children over. Izuku, who can feel the aftermath so much more distinctly than that initial explosion of anger. He can’t think about explosions without thinking about wreckage.
“Don’t you ever get mad?” Matsuda asks.
Izuku had been on his way to take shelter in the school library over lunch. He’d been distracted, as he walked, wondering if the doors would be open today - the library is sparse and neglected enough when it’s open, but the school’s staffing levels are such that he frequently turns up at the doors to find the whole place shut up and locked, leaving him to try and think of another place where he might be able to spend the next 45 minutes safe and left alone - so distracted that he hadn’t noticed Matsuda until they almost collided in the hallway.
He was lucky, really, that it was just Matsuda, not one of Kacchan’s true entourage, but a hanger-on who rarely missed an opportunity to take Izuku down a peg. In a class without Izuku there, it wouldn’t be that hard to see Matsuda in Izuku’s place.
But something about Izuku’s distracted expression during his taunts seems to have triggered something else, a kind of disbelieving disgust. “Like, ever?” he asks. “Don’t you ever get tired of like ‘thanks, excuse me, sorry for existing and all, good luck with the test tomorrow guys!’” He says this last past in a high-pitched imitation of Izuku’s voice, and Izuku thinks maybe they’ve returned to familiar ground, but Matsuda is still staring intently at him, seemingly waiting for an answer.
He doesn’t have one to give. Half his mind is still on those library doors, and whether they’ll be open when he gets there. The rest is fuzzed over with panic, leaving him with nothing but his polite, stammering default - which never makes it better, but silence never does either.
“Whatever,” Matsuda says, suddenly growing tired of him and starting off in the other direction. “It’s like you like it this way.”
Izuku takes a shuddering breath and turns the corner. The library doors are closed.
Izuku tries, later that day, once he’s safe at home, to get angry on purpose. He sits on his bed and tries to summon it up, like the opposite of meditating, reaching for fury instead of calm. For a few minutes nothing happens at all, except that he gets distracted thinking about other things and has to drag himself back.
He thinks about Kacchan pushing him down, and him never finding out why. He thinks about the look on his mother’s face when she came back from meetings during the dissolution of her marriage, meetings Izuku was kept well away from; he thinks about how hard she tried to be normal, but how her knuckles were white where she gripped her water glass.
Eventually, there’s a kind of hot, prickling feeling over his skin. He feels briefly untethered, out of his own body, and wonders if he really did end up meditating after all. Then comes a wave of nausea, so physical that he feels a prickling in the back of his throat. He remembers having the flu last semester, and the nausea that had flooded through him when he’d tried to walk just to get a glass of water - nausea that felt like a warning, like a plea; stop, whatever you’re doing, stop.
He opens his eyes to find he’s gripping his notebook in his hands, so tight he’s bent the spine, leaving little wrinkles of damage spreading out from where he’d held on. He releases his grip and tries to smooth it over, bend it back into shape, but it only looks sadder for his efforts, care shown far too late to help anything.
Always, at the root of anger, we find a desire for change. Izuku grips his highlighter pen, unsure. He doesn’t think this passage has much to do with the essay question he’s been assigned, but something about it peaks his interest anyway.
A person enraged is a person committed to affecting change in the world around them. If we all gave in to those desires at every opportunity, we would have a world of tyranny and chaos. However, the alternative extreme is no better - a world of stasis and apathy, drifting, stagnating. When we tell our children to banish their anger, we tell them to cut away a significant part of their own agency. When we tell this to some children and never to others, we invite a different, more incisive kind of tyranny.
Izuku is torn between a desire to slam the book shut, and the urge to try and pivot his essay in a direction that will let him analyse this. He highlights the words in yellow, realising that when he thinks of change, he doesn’t think of anger. He thinks of All Might, defeating impossible odds, saving dozens of terrified people, and doing it all with a smile on his face. What is that if not agency? Can you really not have one without the other?
He supposes what he’s doing is building a case, the way he always does. Trying to capture the sum of his understanding of something, so that when he needs the knowledge it will be there. The crucial, long, stuttering thinking will already be done, and in the heat of the moment he can just act.
That’s Hero Analysis For the Future , and he thinks that’s why he’s holding onto these memories too. Almost every aspect of a hero’s life affects their career in some ways; if anger does too, it makes sense that Izuku needs to work out what he thinks. Don’t you ever get angry, Izuku? Don’t you ever get mad? Always, at the root of anger, we find a desire for change. It’s like you like it this way.
Izuku wishes, for a moment, that feelings were as real and tangible as organs. He wishes he could go for a scan and have someone tell him yep, anger’s right there. It isn’t enlarged or shrivelled. It isn’t inflamed or sickening. It isn’t poisoning everything around it.
He asks his friends, now that he has friends, specifically targeting those who are more on an even keel - he already knows he can’t relate to big, obvious anger.
“Sure, Deku,” Uraraka answers. “Everyone gets angry.”
“What does it feel like, when you are?”
“Are you gonna take notes?” she teases, but then she’s concentrating, tapping her fingers together, trying to figure out how best to describe it. Izuku still isn’t used to this; if you’d asked him to predict what Uraraka would give him, even though he thinks the world of her, he assumed he’d get a quick, uninterested comment at most. Either his UA friends are so much better than most people, or his calibrations for what friendship is are all off; Izuku suspects it’s a little of both.
“I guess I have two types of anger?” Uraraka muses. “Like, there’s…determined anger? Like at the sports festival, I just got really fired up and wanted to win so bad!” She makes a fist, as if to demonstrate, and man, Izuku likes her so much.
She lets her hands drop. “Then there’s the kind that’s less fun. Like…when your heater is broken and you’re mad that it’s broken, and that you’re cold and there’s nothing you can do about it.”
“Your heater isn’t really broken, right?” Izuku asks. “It’s been getting really cold out!”
Uraraka gives him a warm smile. “No, Deku. It’s fine.” He stares at her smile for a second too long, trying to grasp the idea of Uraraka being really, truly angry. He thinks it’s like how no one can really know that they’re seeing the same colours everyone else sees. For all he knows, they’re feeling totally different things and giving them the same name; he can’t imagine Uraraka feeling anything in the disjointed, sickly way that rage finds him.
Ashido is his next target, and she laughs before realising he’s serious. “Anger feels like anger, you know?” she says idly. “Like…” She holds up her hands in a claw-like gesture, and makes a kind of ‘rrargh’ noise.
Izuku must look slightly disappointed, because Ashido sighs and throws up her hands. “I don’t know, man! I don’t like to think about it. Everything is stupid when you’re angry, and I’m always there, so it’s like I’m stupid. The stupidest thing in all the stupid.”
She looks down at her shoes as she talks, and it’s so unlike the Ashido he knows that Izuku wants to apologise for having asked. Before he can, she lightly punches his shoulder, giving him a smaller, more subdued version of her usual bright smile. “You don’t always gotta dwell on stuff, you know?” she says. “No one’s gonna give you points for it. Chin up! Plus ultra!”
She skips away, and Izuku feels like he understands her both more and less than he did five minutes ago.
He doesn’t actually plan to ask Todoroki, but he’s in Todoroki’s room taking back his notes for English class when he finds himself doing it anyway.
“You…get angry sometimes, right?”
Todoroki blinks at him. Slowly, deliberately, he lifts his left hand, cupped in a way that makes Izuku anticipate flame, makes him aware of the ghost of it among his fingers.
“Yes,” Todoroki says simply.
“Yeah,” Izuku says, wanting to smile to soften things but not wanting Todoroki to think he’d been making fun of him. “I’ve been asking a lot of people. People in our class, I mean.” He fidgets with his hands for a second. “I think I’m doing it wrong? I don’t know if I have too much anger or too little, but…I don’t know. I think there’s something wrong with me.”
Todoroki waits patiently while he speaks, all his attention fixed on Izuku. Izuku thinks that’s one of the reasons he likes Todoroki; even for all of his ambition, he gives off this impression of patience that makes it feel okay to talk, to talk imperfectly and at length, now that he’s past Todoroki’s initial barriers. The other ambitious people Izuku knows, himself included, aren’t like that - he’s dogged, determined, but not patient. It comes from starting so far behind everyone else, making it feel as though no movement is ever really fast enough.
Todoroki thinks for a long moment before replying. “It can’t be worse than what’s wrong with me.”
Izuku gives him a small smile. Kind things hover in the back of his mind, wanting to offer reassurance, but he knows from experience that when you offer some glimpse of how you feel about yourself, sometimes the best thing to receive back is just space and acknowledgement, instead of attempts to convince you otherwise that mostly just make you regret speaking up in the first place.
Izuku knows he’s so behind with this, too; having friends, talking to people, trying to give them reasons to be glad that they talked to him. But maybe Todoroki would understand that, out of all of his friends - maybe they can muddle through together.
“I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately,” Todoroki offers, and Izuku thinks maybe he made the right choice after all. “I used to want to never be angry, so that I’d never act like my father. Now I think if I don’t get used to it, get control of it, I’m more likely to make the same mistakes he did.”
Todoroki flexes his left hand, frowning.
“You’ve come so far, you know?” Izuku says, before he can stop himself.
Todoroki meets his eyes. He’s familiar and strange all at once. Even now that they’ve spent more time together, Izuku can so rarely predict what Todoroki will say or do, just that he likes him, likes the strange angles of him, likes that for some reason he chose Izuku as the subject of his honesty.
“It doesn’t feel like it,” Todoroki says, but there’s a softness there, like gratitude.
“I don’t know if it ever does,” Izuku answers, thinking of all the times this year he’s been told that he’s making progress, and how sometimes he’s still convinced that he’s exactly the same on the inside; the same friendless nothing who spent his lunch breaks cowering in the library. “I just feel so guilty for being mad,” he says. “Even if I just sit with it and don’t do anything, it feels so…dangerous.”
The notes in his hands bring him back to that day in his room, trying to be angry on purpose. “One time I messed up one of my notebooks when I was angry, and even though it’s just paper, I felt so bad…I can’t think about anger without thinking about damage, you know?”
He looks up from the notes, from his own scarred hands, to find Todoroki watching him with a new intensity in his eyes. Immediately he wishes he hadn’t spoken, because of course Todoroki knows more about damage than he ever will. “I’m sorry-” he starts, but Todoroki shakes his head.
“I didn’t know anyone else thought about this the way I do. Especially you.”
Their eyes meet again and Izuku finds himself smiling, just from having spoken and been understood - it was still wonderful and new, every time, each moment where he realises he really does have friends. “Maybe there’s a class we can take?” he jokes.
“I think that’s just therapy,” Todoroki says, sounding thoughtful and disappointed in equal measure. “Tell me why you think you’re doing it wrong?”
Izuku gently sets the notes back on Todoroki’s desk, realising with another little leap of joy that he won’t be leaving for a while yet. He takes a seat and starts to talk about being five years old, about the time Kacchan pushed him over and the only explanation anyone could offer was anger.

Man I used to love yo-kai watch. I miss it so much. Hit me with those ocs. -s4m
HECK YEAH- It’s so great in it’s own weird way, im mad that hulu doesn’t have it without hulu live, unfair, I wanna rewatch it- Im gonna ramble about em’ here, but i’m super focused on doing the sideblog. Also, be aware this is what I have for their rewritten versions, some of their story isn’t completed, and some of it is salvaged bits from their old stories (which were made YEARS ago). Also I am treading the thin line of complying with canon and also FUCK canon.
Juniper- Intense pure chaos but also slightly reasonable, a kid who has been surrounded by the spirits since they were a baby. They lost their parents, and were straight up adopted by Yo Kai. Some of them (most) are fan-made Yo-kai i’ve done, one is a wolf fella, another is a fox lady whom is very much based on Kyubi, she’s more ice themed tho. She’s also real tall. Juni has their own sorta necklace-like watch, their Yo kai family made it for them so that they’ll always be able to see their family. Juniper doesn’t take shit from anyone, they’re stubborn and they know when someone is wronging them (perks of being raised around troublesome spirits), so they’ve got an attitude, especially towards people who behave like complete jerks. They do have a sweet side, lots of empathy. You could call them a wild-child, since they live in a house in the woods with a bunch of spirits, even if they roam the town sometimes. and of course, it’s important to note that they’re autistic, because most of my me-themed ocs are.
Shard- The ice fox lady! This is the best name I could come up with. She’s sorta like Juniper’s “mom”, and basically the mom for all the Yo-kai that live with them. She’s where Juniper got a lot of the “don’t be a bitch or i’ll kill you” kind of thought. Shard was pure royalty when she was alive, and so she’s quite literally a queen, but she doesn’t flaunt her status unless someone pisses her off. She’s protective of her family, they may not be ‘blood’ related, but they’re a kind of family nonetheless, and she cares about them so hard.
Juno- The wolf fella! Kinda fire-themed, walking bookshelf, heart of gold and social anxiety. He’s where Juniper gets their education, since they don’t go to school. He’s a very good teacher, what he lacks in his desire to be extroverted, he more than makes up for it in his sweet personality and his skills in education. 10/10, would be his friend.
They’re the only three so far that have development, but there are a lot, trust me. I love these guys...missed em’ so much.

I’ve always wondered why Steven Universe is both such a loved and hated show. As y’all know I’m personally on the “love” side, but I understand why some people have a fair share of issues with the show. But I could never get why some people genuinely hate the show. IMDB gave it an 8.3, TV.com gave it an 8.8, and Rotten Tomatoes gave it a 100% (tbh tho fuck Rotten Tomatoes). With critics and most audiences generally liking it, how can a sizable and vocal minority really not like it?
Recently I watched a critique on SU:F’s finale by Kross on Youtube, and there’s a moment in there when he says this:
“. . . It’s because Steven Universe is not made for me. It was made for people who have the ability to just not think about it. People who value thematic messages over airtight writing and are willing to let some continuity errors and things of the like slip by because they feel like this is how they can best experience the most joy from a T.V show.”
I think that right there might be the main reason why some people don’t have favorable views towards Steven Universe. I’d say that a lot of the issues Steven Universe had (besides almost everything with the Diamonds) related to structuring/narrative problems and missed opportunities:
-New and fresh characters are introduced and then dropped (Aquamarine and Topaz, Holly Blue Agate and the Famethyst, Bismuth was abandoned for two seasons)
-Interesting b-plots were ignored for much lamer b-plots (literally everybody would’ve rather seen Lars’ transformation into a space pirate than Sadie joining a band)
-Certain continuity themes were abandoned in order to fit some other idea (shattering was supposed to be the gem equivalent of death - hell, worse than death since gem shards are still alive - but Steven heals Jasper just like that and in Homeworld Bound Yellow Diamond could just all of a sudden reverse this, and both removed any sort of danger shattering presented)
-Steven was the focal point in just about every episode, and while that does fit the idea of watching the show through Steven’s eyes it takes this way too overboard (Last One Out of Beach City could have easily cut Steven) and sacrifices a bunch of other ideas that could’ve only be possible without Steven (1. Episodes that dealt only with Homeworld junk, like seeing how their society functions. 2. Flashbacks that aren’t told through stories. Seeing how Amethyst joined the Crystal Gems would’ve been cool and it would make sense since Amethyst likely wouldn’t want to relay her insecurity-riddled past experiences to Steven. 3. Episodes that focused on characters reflecting on themselves or their actions through internal forces or non-Steven external forces - y’know, stuff that makes Steven not be the sole impetus for characters really getting down ‘n dirty about themselves.)
And this is only naming some of the issues. Yet many fans are able to overlook these issues. Sure, they acknowledge these problems exist and detract from the show’s quality, but they’re able to look past them to enjoy other elements of the show. Elements such as stunning background design, fantastic voice acting, dynamic characters, intriguing story, wholesome themes, dope-as-hell music, and tearjerking moments.
And I think that this a big part on what determined who would like the show and who wouldn’t: whether they had that ability to overlook narrative issues for the greater appreciation of the show’s good elements. The Crewniverse knew their audience real good in the sense that they knew we had that ability, and subsequently knew how to deliver to us. Some couldn’t get over the show’s many narrative flaws and that ruined any chance of them enjoying the show. I’m not saying that these people are bad for not being able to get past these issues. Entertainment is a subjective field, and each person has a different view towards film, T.V, or other types of multimedia.

How about 2 and 5 for the magic asks for Cassius?
"For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” What kind of magic directly opposes that of your character? As in, what kind of magic would complement theirs so perfectly that it would be difficult for either one of them to get the upper hand on the other?
Opposit magic... Directly, fire magic. Warm, fickle and wispy with soft edges, contrasting sturdy, sharp ice. But this is just an elemental opposite, a more.... Abstract opposite form of magic might be shadow or void related magic. Ice and snow are tangible, cold, and white. Shadow is intangible, dark, neither hot not cold. It's hard to find opposites because I like putting opposites in Cassius' magic to begin with: a blizzard is wild and unpredictable, but Cassius has tremendous control, funneling that icy magic into something smaller, less dangerous, making frost flowers on windows or something
The kind of magic that'd compliment his the most.... Well, ice can do a lot of damage. Sharp shards piercing bodies, etc. But Cassius can't control ice when it gets too hot (tho he can try to re-freeze it). So... Either shadow or fire magic, to catch all his weak spots, or a very strong water mage to cover the other half Cassius can't control.
What are some interesting subsets and/or sub-practices of their magic? Like, what’s something they can or something that other practitioners of the same kind of magic can do that would surprise someone else?
Ohhh okay. So. There's a mild telekinesis aspect to his ice. He can create an ice shard, pick it up with his mind, and throw it. Or mentally direct the formation of a crest or spike or whip or etc. This same telekinisis applies with his flying sword. He can't break or make things, just move them as long as he can visualize the space they're in
Cassius, however, hasn't realized it's telekinisis and not like, a talisman yet xD (the sword is enchanted so Cass just thought it was that)

"Top 10 Dedue's husband crying when greeted with dinner" What if people start speculating about Dimitri tho? It just starts with light comments from the children "Grab the hand mixer carefully. You don't want to break it like mom" but peoiple start noticing that there's a relation between Dimitri and breaking objects.
People wonder why he never has Dimitri as an assistant in any of his videos. People start speculating all kinds of weird shit... Then Dedue finally says “fuck it” and has him on.
They’re doing something really basic. Like, cookies or something. Dimitri breaks minimum three bowls (and ruins all the batter, since they have to toss it or risk glass shards), the mixer, six spoons, and the oven door.
The video is literally titled “this is why I don’t let my husband cook with me.”
Thumbnail is Dimitri siting at the table, hanging his head over a pile of broken glass and cookie batter.
Video ends with Dimitri crying and apologizing as Dedue sweeps up another broken glass bowl. (Don’t worry, Dedue made sure to okay the video with him before he publishes the video. After a few days Dimitri actually finds the whole thing kind of funny and tells him to post it).
It does lead to one good thing though! Companies start sending Dimitri all of their cookware to test if it’s really as durable as they say. He’s basically the ultimate QA guy. After that Dimitri has a separate side-show on Dedue’s main channel where he reviews how breakable kitchenware is.

People have been saying that mlqc has been copying MM, and should be banned because of plagiarism... Your opinion about it? I personally think mlqc was influenced by MM but then I also think they copied some bits here and there.
(Continued) I saw some pictures of mlqc and MM that displayed similarities or almost the exact same pose/angle and I wouldn’t say it was copied but it was referenced from it… (L&P could’ve done better tho) But the thing is, I saw a script of mlqc and the person who posted this said that mlqc is basically copying the script of MM. Idk I can’t read Chinese but people also say kiro is basically the choi twins, and victor is basically jumin… Heck yeah maybe for kiro I could see how it is—
(Continued) But for victor I don’t see Jumin exactly. Victor and Jumin obviously similar but they are not exactly the same. Yes they’re both leaders and both rich and whatever you can relate them both. But Victor and Jumin, have completely different back stories. I think victor is more straightforward and cold but Jumin is more I guess calm and quieter if that makes sense. I’m sorry if I was ranting non sense lol, was conflicted about it.
__________________________________________
Hey dear!
I am actually glad you sent this in! As most of you know because of my main blog, I love MM a lot. It’s a title that is very dear to my heart and precious to me, and I have also seen this sort of talk going around. So I am happy to speak on this topic.
Firstly, I think it’s asinine. Love and Producer was being shown at Expos and being Beta Tested less than a year after Mystic Messenger was released…less than a year! And it was released five months after that! Thinking about this logically, do we really honestly think that a company in China saw Mystic Messenger out of Korea and in less than a year developed a story, the mechanics of the game, wrote the script, drew the characters, hired the voice actors and recorded voices, coded it all and got money to develop it and distribute it in less than a year…that alone should be enough to tell you that this is just not true. This doesn’t make sense.
Not to mention MM has just barely hit its 3yr anniversary and we STILL don’t have answers for everything lmao. I really find it hard to believe that Paper Studio and Zhixingtong would be like oh yeah you want us to sink a bunch of money into a game that isn’t even finished yet that you want to copy? Sure thing!
The characters in Love and Producer are designed and put together with stratagem. The same as they strategically fit personality types together in boy bands, the same as they strategically stick to the same formula for otome boy personalities, they do the same for Love and Producer. It’s not different from any other game. The cheerful and kind, the aloof but protective, the flirtatious and considerate, the asshole who secretly cares. Every game has this SAME TYPE. It’s really not crazy to think that the asshole who secretly cares is a clean-cut, well-dressed CEO because it’s ALWAYS THE CLEAN-CUT WELL-DRESSED CEO/BUSINESSMAN.
When it comes to art, I also find it very hard to imagine they would need to “copy” Mystic Messenger sprites or art in general. There are only so many poses and positions you can do for sprites that don’t make them look odd for the situations. A side profile sprite in two different games is not “plagiarizing” its just a side profile…and let’s not forget that I love MM dearly but even they have to update their artwork with better and improved art every now and then, in my opinion, there’s no denying that the artwork in L&P is superior so I don’t see them needing to trace art from Cheritz. Not to mention the developers behind L&P have been making games with the same style artwork years before even Mystic Messenger released.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Paper Studio, Zhixingtong/ELEX, Tencent…they’ve all been working congruently developing games from China and distributing games on a global scale for a while now. Tencent is the world’s largest gaming company, one of the world’s most valuable technology companies, one of the world’s largest social media companies, and one of the world’s largest venture capital firms and investment corporations. This includes social network, music, web portals, e-commerce, mobile games, internet services, payment systems, smartphones, and multiplayer online games. These companies have all worked hand-in-hand to release mobile games across the world, games such as Food Fantasy and the Nikki titles like Love Nikki.
Tencent also developed the widely known and used QQ as well as WeChat, and L&P’s social media/”phone” aspect to the app including sections like ‘moments’ is literally a copy of WeChat.
L&P uses the WeChat feature as well as the generic Gacha/card-based dynamics we see in every mobile gacha game, and then implements some of its own unique grinding features taken from titles like the Nikki games only instead of combining clothing items/materials its instead shards of karma and other materials. Nothing about this is Mystic Messenger.
I don’t even think I need to go deep into the plot of both games because it’s obvious they’re very, very different. A girl thrust into a group of people who work together to raise funds for charity but there’s a mysterious murder and a secret cult. VS. A producer running her fathers company comes into contact with old friends from her past who are all tied together by mysterious superpowers. Like?
So if the mechanics of the game are not the same, the plot is not the same, the artwork is not the same, and even the complete characters and personalities are not the same, only leg people have to stand on in this argument is that Jumin looks and sort of acts like Victor, and Kiro is goofy like Saeyoung and a hacker. That’s simply not enough to say a company “copied” a game and you’d have to then point fingers at a ton of other games for the very same reason. I could pull up several right now with quirky hackers and asshole businessmen, some that even look like Saeyoung and Jumin as well.
I think it’s fine to draw parallels and have fun picking out the similarities in characters because that’s what the human brain does. That’s just social categorization and stereotyping. And it makes it easier when every one of these games uses the same formulaic, cliche character types. But I think it’s disrespectful to the people who work hard on these games to just see two similar-looking characters and start shouting plagiarism.
Not to mention L&P is EXTREMELY popular in many countries including Korea, and if Cheritz thought their work was being stolen and distributed and making millions, they would do something. Idk, I just wish people would use critical thinking first instead of undermining the hard work of content creators because conspiracy theories are compelling.

I should have written this earlier when Witcher Netflix was more fresh in my mind (I haven't done a proper rewatch yet) but I still wanted to write a post about some thoughts I had (that I actually remember lol) and stuff I want in the next season. It's like 99% about Geralt/Yen/Ciri bc I have three brain cells and they're dedicated to them.
The spoiler-free stuff: I definitely loved it! There's some scenes in the book that I would have loved to have seen on screen that I'll mention later, but I really liked it for the most part. My main issue is the pacing, but I understand them trying to fit so much into only 8 episodes -- I hope next season will have at least 10 or even 12 eps to fully flesh out the storylines. There were times where I wondered how easy it was to follow if you didn't know the books, and it seems that it's kinda been mixed? But all-in-all people are loving it, there's lots of memes and new content, and I'm happy about that.
Yennefer's backstory and Anya Chalotra were the highlights for me, and I loved Tissaia as well. By "I haven't done a proper rewatch" I mean that I've only rewatched the first ep (Renfri ❤️) and the parts with Geralt/Yennefer lmao. I'll prob watch it all again later on. Now to the spoilery stuff (includes some refs to the books):
Some specific stuff I liked:
Geralt finally being able to sleep in the Last Wish episode and then him saying in the next ep that before he met Yen, "nights were restless" so she/the thought of her helps him sleep now? lol
Yen touching Geralt's face after he tells her she's important to him as if she can't believe she's important to someone right then and needs to make sure he's real or that she's not dreaming 😭
Téa and Véa and how they actually talked instead of not really communicating well themselves in the books
Yen's elven blood being emphasized and it being a thing that allows her to be naturally inclined towards magic…idek I'm just into that lmao
Geralt "hm"-ing all the time was excellent and is, unfortunately, v relatable
I wasn't gonna say this but since I posted about his casting on my blog previously…I'm still not a fan of Henry but I cannot deny his knowledge and dedication to Geralt and the Witcher lore, and I think he portrayed Geralt very well to the point where I don’t think I imagine anyone else playing the role now? I really mean this bc before I refused to reblog/tweet anything with him in it bc I’m petty LMAO
This is obvious but Toss a Coin to Your Witcher is the song of the year and Her Sweet Kiss is also good. @ netflix soundtrack WHEN
Some stuff I have issues with:
Istredd getting an expanded storyline is fine with me (and will probably set up better angst) but I wish he didn't do the thing Geralt does in Thanedd where he thinks about things Yen likes…I guess that's minor by itself, but Geralt thinking about the house in Thanedd is so important and I hope at least they keep that for the future. Also making the imaginary sorcerers Yennefer conjured up clap like in Thanedd is like…ok I'll allow it but Thanedd better be Extra Good bc I remember reading the part where they're in bed again when I wanted to make myself upset lmao
I wish we got the line when Geralt first called Yennefer "Yen" because "nobody's ever called me that. Say it again" is SO POWERFUL and I think that would have helped set up Geralt/Yen better in the series. Anya did describe the relationship as "animalistic and full of lust" and honestly that's fair but I also want people to understand why tf I'm smiling when we watch them fuck after the last wish instead of being like "ok but where did this come from" lmao. Yeah they’re horny af but pls!!!
Tbh I just want more Angst...like in the Bounds of Reason ep, the "you left" thing and Geralt asking for forgiveness was so short and would have been better if they just…expanded on it a little more…idek this is where I really wished they had an extra episode or two just to elaborate :/
The lack of baby dragon is so sad tbh. I liked that they did without Yen getting her titties exposed and threatened with rape obviously but the baby dragon running over to Yen tho!!
Ciri is my sweet child whom I love dearly and I understand her storyline but I wasn't super into her parts in a way? It makes sense since she's running and hiding and I felt her panic and loneliness and all that, but I think this could have only been fixed if they did Brokilon like in the books. I guess they'd have to cut down on Calanthe maybe?
As for the "Who is Yennefer?" ending:
I know many book readers weren't super satisfied with this, since ofc this is the famous "you're something more" scene, but I think it's fine within the context of the show because of the way Brokilon was handled (obviously I would have liked to see Geralt + Ciri interactions so we could have gotten “something more” though). It also sets up a connection between Yen + Ciri early on -- not really a strong one, but a connection nonetheless. And ofc it makes sense to people who don't know the books, and this is an adaptation after all.
I wish it wasn't as abrupt though? The fact that Ciri's first words to Geralt were about Yennefer is kind of a weird, but I guess that Ciri's vision was so vivid she couldn't help it maybe? And her mentioning Yennefer after Geralt talked about being linked by destiny enforces that it's all three of them linked.
I think this ending line allows for flashbacks via communication? Like if Geralt were to tell Ciri about Yen (and Yen telling Ciri about Geralt), they could elaborate on the relationship between Geralt/Yennefer that way and maybe have a flashback episode or at least a few scenes. I don’t really imagine Geralt saying too much about Yen but still?
So that takes us to things I want in the next season (not exhaustive; I need to do a BoE re-read):
The Dear Friend letter!!
And obviously before that, Triss staying at Kaer Morhen for a while…I wouldn't mind if they completely wrote out any attraction she had to Geralt ofc, but Ciri being sure that Triss is "not Geralt's woman" is also good
Imagine Ciri reading Yennefer's mind and accidentally seeing her thoughts about Geralt…not that she'd even need to though, as long as Yen tells Ciri that Geralt's hands are very gentle is enough lmao. But I'd love the "what is there between you and Geralt" line! In general, I really want Yen/Geralt to be like, the most obvious thing to the audience lol.
Yen telling Ciri that she's lucky bc Ciri knows that Geralt will come back for her and Yen isn't sure that Geralt would do the same for her 😭
Since they're doing the story with Nivellen, I'm hoping for other short stories to be adapted too. My favourite is A Shard of Ice, and I read that it's Henry's favourite too so I'm optimistic about it being included somehow. And since Istredd has a bigger role, it could work? ALSO WE NEED EVERYONE TO KNOW ABOUT THE UNICORN. PLEASE
Flashbacks to Belleteyn (is having another orgy scene ok. pls say yes) and the Geralt seeing that the 14th name on the hill wasn't Yennefer. He wanted to die again ahhhhhhh
Yarpen asking Geralt "is [Ciri] yours?"
More Jaskier songs about Geralt/Yen…even just one pls
And more angst bc like. There's so much come on lmao hurt the audience
A lot of Yennefer + Ciri. Just a Lot of it.
