A Friend, a Jelmer fanfic
Andy back at it again with the shit title ! Edit: someone give me a "probably" word count geez
Here’s part one,
Guardian Angel AU, modern setting, all set all good.
Tagged: @well-the-kids-do-too @racetrackcook @i-got-personality @imjusttheoutgoingsidekick @thatfancyclam @we-dont-sell-papes @ben-cook-can-cook @not-your-cigar @fuckinviral @jackhasdreams @racescoronas @suddenly-im-respecsable ( i don’t remember if you wanted to be added to the tag list or not ? i have 0 memory and i’m so sorry if this bothers you, feel free to tell me so i edit it ! )
"Okay, but - even if you don't have your wings, I don't see how you're going to fit in. I mean, what are you going to do ? Live with a foster family ? These are bad ! I have friends who live with a foster family, and it's bad."
"Hmm... Yea, I know that but, I'd thunk I could live with ya."
"Uhuh."
He had expected that to be a joke, but the angel seemed pretty serious as he spoke. Or not necessarily serious, but it seemed he meant it. Uhuh. He wasn't sure how to take it or how it was supposed to happen, though ; he just tried to adjust his own mood to his friend's.
"You mean... My parents are just gonna have to be fine with raising a kid who appeared out of nowhere and who doesn't have papers and stuff ?"
"That ain't what I said, but ya'll see what I mean. Don't worry ! It'll be fine."
... Fine. Okay.
To be honest, JoJo had many more questions, but at the moment they had to head home ; the sun was starting to fade. How long had passed since they'd started talking ? Taken aback by the evening, he stood regardless, helping his friend up before beginning to walk, pointing in the direction of where he lived. "We're gonna have to walk a bit, but it'll be fast."
"Oh, I know !" He was met with such enthusiasm, he was almost surprised.
"You... know."
"Well, yea. Guardian angels gotta watch their pal for a bit before they can go see an' meet 'em. That's how it works !"
Uhuh, rational, right... Well, now he was pointing it out, it surely made sense. Not that he felt stupid for asking, but a tiny bit. "Okay, well, then let's go... home."
Because Elmer said they'd live together, apparently. He didn't, mind, just - how was this supposed to happen ?
He had his answer quickly.
As they finally arrived home and walked in, the taller boy's mother greeted him, however frowning at the sight of that kid who seemed... well, unfortunate. Her concerned gaze made JoJo's chest tighten a little. Was she going to allow his friend to stay ? What was his plan ? Did he... really have a plan ? He seemed confident, despite how stiff and tense he was, and had been ever since they'd gotten to meet. Frankly, his mother was pretty much having the same reaction he did back when they'd first met, maybe two hours ago. But then she spoke, and that was when things became confusing.
"Who's your friend, Jo ?" She gently inquired, as worry could be heard in her voice regardless.
"Well, he's..."
"I'm his childhood friend, Elmer Kasprzak !" What ? She'd never buy this. "An' my parents kind'a kicked me out, so JoJo'd told me ya'd be fine with havin' me stay here 'till I find a better place !"
Her expression didn't seem to change, and he didn't seem to stop speaking.
"By the way, Miss, we' seen each other already, right ? I came over many many times ! An' we even made cookies together once. I blow'd it but we tried. We also go to mass together. 'Member ?"
At this point, JoJo's jaw had pretty much dropped, and the way his eyebrows were furrowing indicated just how flabbergasted he was. How was she even supposed to believe that ? He didn't even look like he was from this time period ! And he had an accent they both had never heard. Or at least, JoJo was pretty sure he had never heard it before... maybe once, but he couldn't say where. On TV, he thought. It wasn't American, either way, or... a mix of New York and... somewhere in Europe ? Oh, he couldn't tell, he wasn't an expert. Just a hunch.
"Oh, now that you mention it."
The strangest goddamn thing, what ?
His mother was now nodding, and her face had softened. Did she remember lies that never even happened ? What kind of... "Well, Elmer, you know we don't have a lot of room here, but we'll try to make you as comfortable as possible."
"Tha's fine ! It's just like a long sleepover. We've had lots of fun with sleepovers so we can see it like that !"
That earned a laugh from her.
Meanwhile, JoJo was staring, wide eyed, frowning and overall completely stunned, which made his mother laugh once again as she gently patted his head.
"Now, what's the matter ? C'mon, you guys go to your room and have some fun before dinner."
"Actually, Miss-- can I demand somethin' ? Can we eat in his room ? I got many things to talk about." Elmer seemed to be incredibly convincing and good at what he was doing, because once again she agreed. Needless to comment on JoJo's reaction. Dinner was sacred, wasn't it ? They had to pray before eating ! How could they not, how could she--
"Fine, boys. I'll have to dismiss you now, I'm not on chore duty today but I have a show to watch."
Well, good to know dad was doing the dishes and the cooking tonight, alright. Probably the only normal information he'd received in the past... ten minutes.
"Have fun with that !" Elmer's cheerful voice rang again, before he grabbed JoJo's wrist and practically dragged him to his room. Once they were inside, door closed and sitting on the bed ( not the door, them ), the latter couldn't help but whimper in exasperation and distress. What the heck was happening ?
" 's mind control," the other simply replied, with a cheeky grin. "Didn't tell ya beforehand 'cause I known you'd look all funny an' shocked."
"You-- mind controlled my mother ?! Is this legal in the eyes of God ?" That question was so poorly worded, the brightest and cutest giggle left the angel.
"I mean, he gave me that power ! 'Must mean I can use it when needed."
"Still... was it needed for dinner ? I mean, we pray before dinner... You should know that."
"Who's gon' prevent you from prayin' ? You can pray here. I just decided I wanted to talk to you without havin' a erase their memories after dinner."
Erase... their memories. That was a lot to take in, and Elmer absolutely realised that, he could see it on his face. He was playing with him in a way that wasn't fun at all, but in retrospect, could he blame him ? That angel had been... well, learning to be a guardian angel probably required tough training. He surely didn't get to have a lot of fun, and he still seemed pretty young ; around his age. That was old in terms of angel years, maybe ( so he assumed ), but it didn’t mean he wasn’t just like a normal human teenager.
He'd just let it be for now, for his thoughts were wandering elsewhere.
"So... Kasprzak ?"
"Uh ?" This time, it was the smaller kid's turn to be surprised. But he nodded, and smiled again, his tooth gap showing. "Yea."
"Elmer Kasprzak."
"Tha's my name."
He thought. "That's a nice name," JoJo eventually responded.
It had a nice sound to it ; somehow he couldn't help but feel attached to that boy already. Everything about him felt safe and comfortable, like he could trust him, like he knew him. Likely stemmed from being so devout... Oh, was he lucky to be so devout.
“Are you gonna keep wearing these clothes ? Can you maybe change them with your powers ?” Suddenly, some excitement seemed to bring fire to his eyes, but Elmer quickly had to shook his head.
“Nah... It ain’t necessary, so I ain’t doin’ it. It’s fine.”
“Oh.”
JoJo paused.
“But you’re gonna have to fit in.”
“I guess.”
“You’ll wear my clothes !”
Elmer raised his eyebrows. “But I’m small.”
“That’s okay, I think that it’ll look-- that uh, it’ll be fun. It doesn’t have to look perfect, right ?”
That it’ll look cute. Was that what he was going to say ? Perhaps. That was silly.
Elmer ended up grinning nonetheless. JoJo wasn’t aware whether he could read minds, but at this moment he truly hoped he couldn’t.
“Fine, then ! I’ gon’ look kinda goofy, but it’ll be fun.”
“Yeah, it will. And you’ll meet my other friends. They’ll love you.”
“I’m sure they’re cool,” the angel finished with an unreadable smile.

All We Ever Wanted: Catalina Pearl
A03 FF
Word count: 2159
A brief summary of the life of Emma and Killian's eldest daughter Catalina Pearl, thus far.
The day they find out that they're having a baby is easily one of the best days of their lives. It's also one of the scariest. They've been through so much, the two of them. They've battled against evil so many times. They've battled the darkness. They've had to fight to both be and stay together. But this is completely new for both of them.
Neither one of them knows what it's like to raise a child from birth. Emma doesn't count the false memories of raising Henry that Regina gave her back when they had to deal with Pan's curse as real experience. Killian argues that she's still better equipped to handle this than he is.
In any event, they're both so scared of messing up. Scared of ruining this child's life. They keep their fears to themselves at first. Both because they're scared to voice them out loud and because neither wants to worry the other.
Until one day when Killian asks her how she's feeling and her hormones get the better of her and all of her fears come gushing out. Killian sits and listens to them all; he's good at that. When she finishes, he lets out a huge sigh of relief and responds by telling her that he's so relieved that it wasn't just him.
They stare at each other for a few beats. Then Emma starts to laugh as she asks him just who is supposed to raise their baby since both of them are too scared to do it. The scary thing is that she's half joking, but half serious and he starts to laugh with her. It's all so ridiculous and so not like them and that just makes it all the more weirdly hilarious. Pretty soon they're both hovering at the edge of hysteria.
This is the scene Henry walks in on when he comes from Regina's to spend the week with them.
He ends up being the one who calms them down. He reminds them of everything they've overcome and tells them that if they could beat all of those things, they can raise this baby. And they'll do it the same way they do everything else: together.
He then starts talking about how he's been Googling baby names that have to do with the sea because how could his future little sibling's name not involve the sea? By then they know it's a girl. A sweet baby girl who will be born from the true love between a princess and a pirate. Of course she's going to end up loving the sea. His searching led him to the name Catalina which makes him think of royalty.
Henry also learns that the name can refer to a yacht or the island that it's going to and that gets him thinking about the Jolly Roger. About that time when his mother reminded Killian that he is still capable of caring about other people. Which resulted in him taking Emma and the rest of Henry's family to Neverland to find Henry and bring him home.
In Henry's mind, that was the first big step the three of them took towards becoming a family. If there's one thing he's learned from his grandfather, Rumplestiltskin, it's the power of a name. So in his mind Catalina was the perfect name for his sister because of what it represents.
Killian repeats the name with a thoughtful expression on his face and it sounds like music to Emma's ears. "Catalina Jones," she says it next, a smile spreading across her face at the sound of it. They think it's perfect.
The family decides on Pearl as her middle name because pearls are the jewels of the ocean and their little girl will undoubtedly be a jewel herself.
Okay, so at this point, maybe they're all being really sappy and emotional but none of them cares. Because as cool as Henry tries to play it, he's super excited about becoming a big brother. And as scared as Emma and Killian are, they're still so incredibly happy to be having a baby.
When the big day finally comes, Killian finds himself equal parts stunned and proud of all the creative curses that Emma throws his way while in labor. He takes them in stride. She was in the process of giving birth to his daughter, after all. He's so grateful and so full of love for her for that. Just when he thinks he couldn't love her any more, he does. She's good at that.
When Dr. Whale asks Killian if he'd like to cut the cord, he has to take a second to will his hand to stop shaking enough so he can. Emma, meanwhile, doesn't think she's ever been more impatient than when she's waiting for someone to put her baby in her arms. And when they do, it feels as though time has completely stopped. For those first few moments, it's as if no one else exists except for her and her beautiful daughter. And she's so beautiful.
She's beautiful and perfect and Emma had never loved anyone so fiercely or so quickly in her entire life. She's exhausted, but so very happy. She has her baby, her sweet little Catalina, in her arms and the man of her dreams by their side. As moments go, this one is pretty damn spectacular.
She looks up at Killian with a huge grin on her face as she asks what he thinks of their daughter and wasn't she just so perfect? Her smile fades a bit when he doesn't answer. It's as if he has fallen into a trance, as if he's been struck by a powerful spell. In a way he has. Emma watches him drink in the sight of their daughter and it becomes clear to her that he didn't answer because he wasn't capable of speech at the moment.
Emma's been crying happy tears ever since Catalina was placed in her arms and now a fresh wave fills her eyes. She's watching her husband fall in love with another woman and it's one of the most beautiful things she's ever seen. The look on his face is one of pure love and wonder. He's completely awestruck by this, their precious little girl. "Killian." Emma says his name in a whisper and he looks at her with shining eyes. She nods towards their baby. "We did good, huh, Captain?"
"Aye. We did." His voice is creaky when he answers and he's amazed that he could even get the words out. He looks back at his daughter's face and can't believe that she's his. His and Emma's. "She's perfect, Swan. She...she's perfect." His voice breaks on the last word as he reaches out to gently touch his daughter's cheek. His breath catches in his throat when she grabs his finger with her tiny fist.
"All the things I've done in my life," Killian begins, keeping his voice soft so as not to disturb his little princess. "All the people I've hurt, all the things I've spent so much time regretting..." He shakes his head. "I wouldn't change any of it. Because they brought me to this moment. They brought me to you. They brought her to us and she's perfect."
He turns his gaze to Emma, his eyes bright with happiness. "I wouldn't change any of it. I love you so much, Swan." He pressed his lips to hers in a brief, but loving kiss. "And you." He looks back at their baby. "I love you too, my little one. Daddy loves you so much."
When Henry meets his little sister, it makes him realize just how badly he's wanted a sibling. He vows right then and there to be the best big brother he can be to her.
As for Mary Margaret and David, when they meet their granddaughter it's like going back in time. Catalina looks exactly like Emma did when she was born. It makes them regret, yet again, that they hadn't been able to watch Emma grow up. But they're determined to be a big part of their granddaughter's life. And they are.
The first year of Catalina's life was a wonderful one. Sure, it'd caused all kinds of sleepless nights for Emma and Killian, but having this little girl in their lives makes it all worth it. It's safe to say that Catalina is one of the most loved little girls in all the realms. For all of their fears, Emma and Killian are doing a great job as parents.
Though every now and then, things get weirdly competitive. Like when Catalina is about a year old and on the verge of walking for the first time. They're sitting on their living room floor watching as Catalina uses the coffee table to pull herself to her feet. Killian suggests that they each try calling her to them to see which parent she'll walk towards.
"What, to prove which one of us she loves more?" she asks him. "Killian, she's not a puppy. This is silly."
"Spoken like someone who knows she's gonna lose," Killian says lightly, flashing a cheeky smirk in her direction.
"Oh, is that what you think?" she asks with a laugh. "I was actually trying to spare you the disappointment for when you lose."
"Please, she adores me," Killian scoffs good naturedly. "All you Jones women do."
"Okay, I won't argue with that," Emma acknowledges, unable to wipe the smile from her face. "But I'm her mother. Of course she'll come to me."
They look at each other for a moment and then it's on. "Come here, baby, come see Mama," Emma cooes to her daughter.
"Don't listen to your mother," Killian interjects. "Come here to Daddy."
This is the scene that Henry walks in on. "What are you guys doing?" he asks them. Emma and Killian glance behind them at him.
"Isn't it obvious, lad?" Killian asks, eyebrow lifting. "We're trying to see who your sister loves more."
"Seriously, you guys? That's so..." Henry trails off as he watches his baby sister take a couple of shaky steps forward. "Guys!" He exclaims, pointing at Catalina. She's unsteady and a little wobbly on her feet, but the family watches in proud amazement as she toddles towards her parents.
And then between them.
To Henry.
He crouches down just in time to catch Catalina as she loses her balance and tumbles into him. "Good job, Catalina!" Henry praises her. He shoots a smirk at a somewhat stunned Emma and Killian. "Sorry guys. Looks like I'm her favorite." His smirk turns into a goofy grin as he looks back at his sister who is beaming at him. "As if there was any doubt."
Now at the age of six, Catalina has grown from a baby into a beautiful child. Her resemblance to her mother is still so strong that Emma sometimes refers to her daughter as her mini-me.
Catalina makes Killian think of the sun. She has such a naturally sunny disposition that has a way of winning anyone over. Even the most cynical Storybrooke residents can't help but smile when they see her. She may have her mother's looks, but she also has her daddy's charm.
She's a carefree child, a social butterfly, confident in the knowledge that she is loved. She loves to run and dance, especially if it's with her father. She wants to be just like her mother when she grows up. True to her name, she loves the sea and the Jolly Roger.
She loves both of her grandparents, but David's her favorite. Whenever she sees them, he's who she runs to first. Emma loves watching them together because they're not just grandfather and granddaughter; they're buddies.
When Emma becomes pregnant with Clara, they worry that Catalina will be jealous but it turns out they had nothing to worry about. Catalina loves her little sister from the beginning. She's two years older and takes her role as big sister seriously. She's sweet and compassionate in general, but especially when it comes to Clara. She's constantly concerned with how her sister is feeling, always happy to entertain or comfort as needed.
The sisters Jones make quite a pair. In many ways, they're like opposite sides of the same coin. So alike in some ways and so different in others. If Catalina is like the sun, Clara is like the moon. Emma and Killian think that Catalina would do just about anything for her baby sister and it makes them love her all the more.
Catalina seems to be made up of the best parts of both of them. She is truly half Swan and half Jones; part princess and part pirate. Just when her parents don't think they can adore her any more, they do. She's good at that.

Romeo and Juliet
Warning: It gets kinda smutty ;)
“I’m so excited to meet them.” You admit as your sister Grace checks her reflection in the mirror. She looks amazing in her dark purple dress. She smiled at you in the reflection. You were so excited for your sister, having found the love of her life. You hadn’t seen her so happy since before your father died. You hadn’t actually seen her much at all since it happened, her working all the time and you in school, so you were just happy to be with her again. “Based on what you’ve said they sound like fun.”
“I wouldn’t get your hopes up if I were you; they can be a rather rambunctious group.” She said, making sure everything was ready for the wedding. You walked over to her, fixing her veil.
“Afraid I won’t like them?” You teased, staring to fuss with your own periwinkle dress.
“No, I’m afraid you’ll like them a little too much.” You both laughed at her comment, although you knew she was probably right. “Y/N, I’m not kidding. Be careful. Please.” You sister begged you.
“I will.” You said, noticing how worried your sister looked. You walked over and hugged her tightly. It was the perfect moment until a knock on the door interrupted it. It was your uncle, ready to take you and Grace to the church.
Once there you tried to hurry inside, knowing you were already late but your heels and the gravel driveway weren’t a good mix. You fell straight on your butt, cursing loudly. Thankfully everyone else was already in the church, or so you thought.
Footsteps rounded the corner and stopped when they saw you. “Oh, are you ok?” A deep voice said, rushing over to you to offer you a hand up.
“Oh thank you. I hate wearing heels.” You admit, steadying yourself against his arm as you take them off. “Sorry, I’m Y/N.” You said, looking up to see your savior for the first time. He smiles at you. You take in his haircut, his tailored suit, his demeanor, the faint smell of petrol coming from him, all suggesting he was one of them; one your sister had just warned you about. And just like you knew would happen, your heart beat was quickening at his touch as he’s still supporting you.
“Finn. Do I know you?” He asks, never talking his eyes of off you.
“Uh, I don’t think so, I’d remember you.” You flirt, watching his body language instantly change, but not for long. He smiles at you again, gesturing towards the door, suggesting you guys enter the church.
“Might want to put those on before we go in.” He says hanging his head at your forwardness motioning towards your shoes and trying to make small talk.
“Eh… I doubt anyone’ll notice, they’ll all be looking at my sister. See you later?” You say as you stand in the church doorway, knowing Finn’s going to have to go to his side and you yours.
“Yeah, of course.” He says, furrowing his brows, wanting to ask who your sister is when you rush inside. You take your respective seats which just so happen to be on opposite sides. Your family all look at you as you fight your way to the front, close to your sister. But they’re not watching you anymore as your uncle walks Grace down the isle. The entire ceremony your eyes are switching between your sister and Finn, who’s also looking at you.
“See,” you mouth to him across the room, making a silly face at him, proving your point that no ones paying attention to you. But he is. He tries not to laugh at you and nods his head at you, as if to say you were right. You smile at him, turning your attention back onto Grace when she and Thomas kiss. Half of the church erupts in wild cheers and you have to politely clap even though you want to cheer with them. You slip your heels back on as you filter out with everyone else. Outside, Grace finds you, pulling you close to her for the family photo. You laugh as she pulls you around, causing you to bump into the person next to you.
“Sorry…” You apologize until you realize it’s Finn. “Funny bumping into you here, isn’t it? So you’re not Tommy’s brother or did you just forget to mention that.” You say, standing shoulder to shoulder with him as the photographer is ready to take the picture.
“You didn’t ask. Frankly, I didn’t ask you either.”
“Well, does it matter?”
“Not if it doesn’t matter to you.” He says and you smile as the flash goes off. Everything that happens next is a frenzy as Grace and Thomas get into the carriage to leave. You catch your sister’s eye, and she gives you a stern look but you just smile and wave as they ride off towards the house. You turn back to talk to Finn again, only to find he’s been swept away from you, you in the middle of your family as you walk to Arrow house.
“Can you believe these people?” You overhear you uncle say to your aunt.
“They don’t seem that bad.” You interject, drawing attention to yourself.
“Yeah well, you don’t know what they do. We can’t have another one of our girls falling into their corrupted trap. You’re staying with us.” Your aunt says harshly, grabbing your arm and pulling you towards her.
Thankfully at dinner you find yourself conveniently sitting right across from Finn. You try not to look at him too much, knowing your under your aunts watchful eye. Still, you catch his every once in a while and he’ll do something different to try and make you laugh. It’s as if you and him are the only ones in the room, like everyone else sat at the table aren’t really there.
Then Arthur’s speech draws your attention back to everyone else and you watch Grace and Thomas squirm at his words, your family cringing, obviously very uncomfortable. The speech and dinner can’t be over soon enough; you want to escape to the dance floor and get lost more than anything else.
Once there, you slip out of your families view as they crowd around Grace instead of dancing. You’re twirling to the music clumsily from the one drink you got your hands on. You bump into someone yet again, going to apologize when you see Finn’s goofy grin looking down at you.
“God, I must be extra clumsy today or this isn’t a coincidence.”
“It’s definitely not a coincidence.” He says, causing you to break out into laughter.
“I’d love to hang out with you Finn, really I want nothing more but if my aunt see’s me talking to you she’ll probably lock me up forever or something.”
“Meet me out by the stables in ten.” He says into your ear, winking as he quickly disappears from the dance floor. You twirl around happily, making your way over to the punch bowl. You pour yourself another drink, leaning against the wall when someone’s next to you, clearing their throat. Your surprised to see Grace with a cup in her hand too.
“The wedding was lovely.” You say looking at her.
“Thank you.” She says politely, talking a sip. “How do you like everyone?”
“They’re even better than you described.” You answer a little too quickly and excitedly.
“Seems like you like Finn a little more than everyone else.”
“What…I don’t know…” you try to lie but your sister gives you the look; the look that she knows only what a big sister would know. Lying is no use. “I don’t like him because he’s one of them, I just like him for him.” You say, feeling silly for admitting it. Normally you don’t believe in love at first sight or any of that hopeless romantic stuff, but you can’t deny that the moment you laid eyes on him you felt something like electricity running through you.
“Well, just be careful. I didn’t see anything.” She says smiling. You lean towards her to kiss each other on the cheek and she turns to talk to your aunt, leaving you free to slip away.
The night air is chilly outside and you wander around the grounds in the dark trying to find the stables. You’re walking along the woods, a building in the distance that must be the stables and you start towards them. You let yourself inside, amazed by the stunning animals in there, running your hand over one of their silvery manes.
It’s quiet and peaceful until Finn sneaks up behind you, tickling your sides. You shriek loudly, his hands instantly flying to your mouth, silencing you before you give them away and startle the horses.
“Don’t do that,” you say angrily, hitting him on the chest.
“Sorry.” He laughs uncontrollably. “You like horses?” He says, motioning towards them.
“Yes, they’re beautiful. Why do you have so many?” He goes on to describe how his family is in the racing business and Thomas is an owner of race horses.
“It’s in our blood, riding and racing horses. Started with my dad.” He informs you, feeding one of them sugar cubes, standing close behind you.
“You know, your family is amazing, I don’t get why our families hate each other.”
“They don’t hate each other.”
“Were you at the same wedding I was? My family thinks yours are criminals and yours hates authority.”
“Well… are they wrong?” He asks and you shrug your shoulders.
“Maybe.”
“Want some?” He asks abruptly, holding a flask out towards you. You take it, stopping when its at your lips.
“Maybe my family is right in thinking yours is corrupt.”
“And maybe mine is right and all of you follow the rules?” He asks, cocking an eyebrow.
“Not all of us.” You say before finally taking a sip, making a face as it burns all the way down your throat and you hand it right back to him. He tries to contain his laughter but he can’t. “Tonights the first time I’ve ever had alcohol, ok.” You admit.
“I could tell.” He says taking a sip like it’s water. “It seems like we are just like our families.”
“But we don’t have to be.” You say, slinging your arms around his neck. Finn drops the flask in the hay, wrapping his around your waist, leaning down to kiss you. Your lips dance together, you leaning into his body as the kiss deepens. You part your lips as his tongue teases you, allowing it entrance. Your body is like mush in his hands, under his control, and every part of if it tingling as he hand moves slowly from your waist to your butt, giving it a quick pinch.
“Ahh, Finn.” You shriek pulling away from him even though you don’t want to. He looks as you questioningly and you just laugh, lunging for his lips again, your mouth craving the taste of his.
The passion continues as he grabs your thighs, hoisting you up,causing you to wrap your legs around his waist. You laugh into his neck, leaving a trail of soft kisses on the skin as he sits you on the fence. He’s eye level with you now, forcing himself in between you legs. Your both panting, not able to say anything to each other. His hardest is pressed against your thigh, making your breathing shallow and your body weak, heat radiating from him to you as you stare into each others eyes.
“Are…are you sure you want to?” Finn says while biting his lip, looking at you.
“I’m sure.” You hum, grabbing him by the trousers, pulling him closer to you, if that was even possible. Your hands sloppily fumble with his buttons as his hands start grazing up your thighs, grabbing at the soft fabric of your undergarments. He pulls them down, sweetly kissing your neck as you hold onto him tightly. You let him do most of the work, your body overcome with a numbing sensation from the combination of alcohol and pure lust. Total euphoria like never before overtakes you as he thrusts into you, his hips rocking back and forth. Him inside of you, his thrusting becoming more methodical, you can’t help but moan a little, gripping the shirt fabric of his back to keep you from totally crumbling under his touch.
“You feel so good Y/N.” Finn says into your ear, you pulling his head into your neck, your hands now busying themselves getting tangled in his short, curly hair.
“Fi….Finn.” You pant, him not skipping a beat as he makes your climb higher and higher. “Don’t stop.” You manage to say before a high pitches moan escapes your lips as you buckle under him. The horses neigh loudly at the noise, becoming uneasy in their stables. You don’t notice them though as Finn continuing pumping into you, deep growls mixing with yours as he finishes too, placing on final kiss on your neck before pulling out. You stand there, regaining your breath finally looking at each other again. You start laughing falling forward into his arms. He lifts you off the fence spinning you around, staring at you momentarily before kissing you again.
“Oi, Finn! What the fuck are you-” A deep voice calls from the other end of the stables. He puts you do quickly turning to see his Tommy standing there. “Who’s this?” He says, motioning towards you as you try to fix your dress.
“Y/N.”
“Grace’s sister?” He asks. Finn nods and you greet your brother-in-law with an awkward hello. “Your family’s looking for you. Grace can’t keep talking to your aunt anymore.” You hurry to leave, jumping up to surprise Finn with a last kiss to the cheek as you head out of the stables.
“Nice meeting you Thomas.” You say awkwardly as you leave, hearing Finn laugh and indistinct conversation among the brothers.
Once inside your try to find a bathroom, making sure your presentable for your aunt but it’s too late, she finds you immediately. Like a lion waiting to pounce on it’s prey, she’d definitely been looking for you, making sure you weren’t getting in trouble.
One look at you and there was no doubt in her mind what you had just been up to. You don’t even bother to say anything.
“We’re leaving. Now.” She says, going to pull you out of the ballroom by the arm but you pull away before she can.
“The party’s not over yet; I’m not leaving until it is. Or I’ll stay here with Grace.” Your voice is laced with hatred towards her.
“Fine but we’re leaving first thing tomorrow, like you’re staying here over my dead body.” You can’t stand looking at her anymore and rush off into the ing house, finding an empty room and hiding away in it locking the door. You kick the armor trying not to cry with the sudden rush of emotions you feel; love, lust, hatred. You walk around the room, trying to calm yourself down when you linger at the window. The men are gathered outside now, ready to watch a race. It keeps your interest just long enough to watch Finn mount a beautiful midnight black horse, ready to ride. The hatred falls from you as you watch him disappear from your view.
The butterflies waking up in stomach only confirm what you thought before; love at first sight. Surely that’s what this was. A kind of Shakespearian forbidden love you had read for school, and absolutely hated; Romeo and Juliet was totally boring. But now you were Juliet, watching your Romeo from a tower window. You wished more than anything that your story had a better ending.
Definitely a long one, sorry if it’s too long. I actually got into the smut and didn’t want to cut it short, I feel like it’s definitely the rawest one I’ve written and I don’t think it’s bad… comments? Pretty please feedback is amazing. I hope you guys enjoy! P.S. I made both those gifs...like whaaaa

How to Make Him Want You and Not Even Think About Other Women
Want to know how to make him want you and ONLY you? This is what most women hope to achieve when dating someone new. Here’s how to get his attention.
This is what we all aim for when dating someone new. It’s always awkward never knowing where you stand or how they feel. Putting forth your best effort and learning how to make him want you the most is what it’s all about.
Because he could be dating other women. That means you have some competition and if you really like him, you’ll have to put in some work to make him see you and only you. And that’s a very tough thing to do because we all know guys don’t exactly have the best attention span.
The dating game can be extremely competitive
This is especially true if the guy you’re after is a catch. They’re far and few between. Meaning, every woman in her right mind who’s been on a date with him is trying to do exactly what you are. They want him for themselves.
And he might just be basking in the attention. When a guy catches wind that women are into him, he’ll milk that for all its worth. But if you truly care about him and have a feeling he’s feeling the same about you, doubling down on your efforts to make him yours is a wise idea. [Read: Why men like a chase and how to use that in your favor]
How to make him want you and forget the rest
Obviously, you only want to work hard for someone you think you can have a real future with. If he seems like the one, these tips can help you make him yours and yours only.
#1 Have an interest in his life. I know this seems obvious, but there’s a certain belief in society that says the guy should be into the girl and not really vice versa. We think they should ask us all the questions and then we just kind of shrug off their hobbies like they’re nothing.
Don’t do this. Take an active interest in his life and get him talking about the stuff he loves. When he associates you with such a great conversation and a care for what he likes, he’ll always think highly of you. [Read: How to get to know a guy you want to date]
#2 Keep things interesting. As mentioned earlier, guys don’t have the best attention spans. What you really have to do is keep things interesting. Make him guess about what you’ll do next. Never be predictable.
The more entertaining you are this way, the more he’ll crave being around you. When he’s not sure what you’ll say or do, it’ll keep him on his toes and keep him interested.
#3 Be a little mysterious. If you’re wondering how to make him want you, remember that it’s okay to withhold some information. You don’t have to tell him every single thing about you on the first date. In fact, play a little coy. Give him some information but hold the details back. The more he has to dig, the better it’ll feel for him when he gets an answer.
#4 Flirt a little. Don’t go all out with the flirting though. What you really want to do is make him want a little more every time you say something cute. Give him a taste of what it would be like to get the full amount of flirting you have to offer and he’ll keep his eyes on you. [Read: 15 subtle eye contact flirting moves that always work]
#5 Let the sexy side out minimally. You have to make him want more, not give him the whole thing right away. That being said, you do want to show him you’re a sexual person. Guys love sex and they’re very in touch with that side of them.
But so are you. Just because you don’t want to appear easy doesn’t mean you have to hold back completely. So make a dirty joke every now and then to show him he can eventually get that full side of you. [Read: How to be sexy as ever and own your unique type of attractiveness]
#6 Be upfront about how you feel. Being blunt isn’t something a lot of women do. And you know what? Guys love it. One thing guys fear most when dating women is that it’ll all be a guessing game.
They’ll have to wonder how you’re feeling and read all these hints that they’ll inevitably get wrong. They hate that. Which means you can be upfront and tell him you like him and that you want to keep seeing him. It’ll pay off for sure.
#7 Tell him he’s funny. Guys love to be the funny ones. It’s known that the more a girl can laugh with a guy, the more she likes him. It also just gives his ego a boost. When he thinks about how great you make him feel, he’ll have a hard time looking at any other women. So make sure he knows you think he’s funny. [Read: 15 fun questions to ask a guy to make him laugh]
#8 Make him laugh. On the flip side, if you truly want to understand how to make him want you, be really funny yourself. Guys love a girl with a sense of humor and most of us tend to hold that back on dates. Go ahead and make those jokes. Let him see that you can make him laugh.
Once again, it’s all about letting him feel great around you. Associating you with great feelings is one way to get him to forget about all those other girls and focus on you.
#9 Be weird and silly. Many women try to act so calm, cool, and collected on a date. You know what’ll make a guy remember you instead of those other girls? Being weird and goofy and showing your silly side. We all have them!
Let it out. Get weird. Be yourself and don’t hold back. The more fun he has and the more entertaining you are, the more likely it is that he’ll think of you the next time he wants to go out for a bite. [Read: How to let your goofy side out and make people want your company]
#10 Don’t divulge your entire past at once. We all have a history. That doesn’t mean you should be spilling your guts to him on the first couple dates. You can hint at certain things but don’t drag down the mood with tragic stories. Keep them to yourself.
#11 Dress to feel good. This doesn’t necessarily mean to dress super sexy or stunning. You should dress in what makes you feel good. The better you feel, the more comfortable you’ll be on the date. And that means you’ll let more of your true personality come out and he’ll be able to pick up on that easily.
#12 Show him how confident you are. Confidence is key here. If he’s in the dating game, he’s seeing and meeting quite a few women. What’ll make you stand out more than the others is how great you feel about yourself.
Confidence is contagious. If you feel good about yourself, it’ll radiate off of you and he’ll feel good about you, too. So show him how great you are and really believe it.
[Read: How to make a guy chase after you instead of the other way around]
It’s not easy to figure out how to make him want you all on your own. Once you get to know him, it’ll be a lot less difficult to do certain things you know he likes. Overall, just be yourself and show him what he’d miss out on if he chose someone else.

Family Newsletter 3: Jared
It's sometime in 2015, probably. And you're in Nashville.
Your buddy Josh invites you to grab some hours at his work where they bottle and distribute BBQ rubs and sauces. You take the gig and work it about 12 hours a week and meet Jared. A guy about your age from Boston usually wearing some sort of flat-billed hat. He doesn't talk much but when he does, it's either deep or goofy. He reminds you of yourself on a shy day. He's your preferred co-worker when Josh is busy.
The gig ends due to workplace politics and you rarely see him unless he meets you and Josh for drinks. But you barely know him so it's not much of a worry.
You'll later recall that he mentioned the difficulty of meeting people and women in a new town and how different Nashville was from Boston. You offered advice and self-deprecating jokes to let him know it happens to us all.
Roughly a year will pass and upon returning to Nashville from Portland, you'll move in with your best friend, Geoff. He's bought a house and your rent goes toward his dream and it feels good. You both eat chipotle in lawn chairs sitting in the empty living room and fix the tv into showing something before you even have cable. It's fun and exciting cuz you're building a home, even if it's not yours. No, you'll sleep on a futon pad in your room to keep you moving.
You'll interview a new roommate and know from the get-go that he's too effeminate for you and Geoff, and probably too absent-minded, as well. But he'll pay rent, so who cares.
Geoff will be on the road, so you're the man of the house and you've got friends just down the street, so you're good. They show you a 10-minute trail to the lake and you can go cliff-jumping whenever you want.
Pretty soon, you and Geoff get rid of the roommate. He was too effeminate and he kept leaving the garage and front door open.
You need a new roommate and Josh tells you about Jared looking for a place. He tells you he used to have drug or alcohol problems, but that our place could be a good thing for him. You all meet up and you remember that you like Jared.
You show him the place and Jared is pretty chill and immediately 10 times better than the old roommate, so he's in.
While you're aware of Jared's past, you're not fully aware and you think it's the way back past. You were wrong. Josh and Jared probably could've told you more, but Jared used to do heroin and other drugs as a teenager. More recently his drug was alcohol.
But Jared is fine. He is. He's just dealing with a breakup with a girl who was infectious and flirty and cute and you get it. But Jared won't let it go. He's going through the five stages of grief to replace her. He's swiping and messaging and getting hurt more. You're learning this all through hints and vibes and confessions and second-hand information. He tells you how rough it is and you can tell this romantic struggle is just another that represents his life struggle in general. He questions everything, most recently how honest to be with women and people in general and how to deal with how flaky they can all be.
'How honest with people should you be?' you'd debate. 'They'll hate you if you lie and they'll judge you if you're honest. And they'll never be all that honest with you.'
It's a notion you both know too well and one you'll never fully answer.
Jared's sneaking liquor out of the fridge and going to work--to Josh's new BBQ company--drunk. He's going to work drunk. Soon enough he wrecks the work truck in an accident and flees the scene. He was likely swiping or texting. He was definitely drunk.
He loses his job, faces court costs, some hospital costs and whatever else. He's rock bottom and if he doesn't figure it out and fast, Geoff will kick him out.
You offer your support, but let Jared know that Geoff isn't bluffing.
Geoff invites a former alcoholic over to talk with Jared and the guy is great. You have hope for Jared and Jared is now sober, but there's still that hint that Jared wants to give up.
Pretty soon, Jared has a new job. He goes to AA meetings every day and occasionally twice. He struggles somewhat but he's open and honest about it and discusses all the things that he doesn't like about his life and is intentional about making it better. He's having better conversations and communication and seems focused and more positive. He's even trying to be a vegetarian now.
Most his friends are from AA. He sees them all the time and when they offer to hang out, he just kinda shrugs his shoulders. He explains and you both laugh at about how friends sometimes seem more like obligations than anything.
But Jared is doing the impossible. He's on the straight and narrow. At some point, he must've gone a full year without alcohol and you let him know you're proud of him. That's something you couldn't do and you know you're lucky; your only addiction is Taco Bell.
You're on the road and it's Spring 2017. You said goodbye to him more or less like the rest of your friends. Hints and vibes. But you let him know more. Because he had depth. That and your vinyl records. You, being the minimalist fool that you are, couldn't lug those prized possessions with you around the country. So you sell him some and tell him to hold on to the rest. You both have great taste in music and this is a win-win genius plan.
You call him every now and then. No. Wait, no, he calls you every now then. And you both know the difference. But he's honest and open and so are you and you both talk about life and people and the future. The depth is occasionally followed by some deep laughs that you try to later write down, but it's all lost. That humor seems to be only created with Jared.
It's June 2017 and you're in Los Angeles. You find out Jared's hitting the bottle again and smoking enough weed that the neighbors can smell it. This causes problems for Geoff and for Josh, who generously (foolishly?) gave Jared his job back after a year.
Before Jared can wreck another work truck, he's fired and Geoff asks him to find a new place.
You call him and he's hurt that you even know about it. How did you find out? Why couldn't you speak directly to him instead of going behind his back? These are questions he angrily asks you as he feels abandoned and hurt. You try to reason with him that most people don't like to talk about how their life is a struggle again. But maybe he's different. He's fine and he appreciates your concern. Then he cries. Suddenly. Then he's fine for a moment, then wraps it all up.
You don't know what's going on and you're thousands of miles away. You hope that there are decent people around him, but he never really gives you that impression.
You try to call or text at least once a week. And have the conversation be honest, while also making him laugh. You find out he's got a new place in East Nashville and new job options, one with real potential. He sounds good, but he'll also tell you he can't quite believe he's an addict. He doesn't really grasp optimism or how we're not just specks of dust. You get the feeling he's not just naturally pessimistic, but...you don't know, but you tell him to focus on the positive. How at the end of every day you write down the highlights and the lessons you learned. This seems to comfort him. A little.
That's it. That's all you get with Jared.
You text him around noon on an August Wednesday: "Hanging out in the library today, hiding from civilization. Living the life!" He'll understand both the truth and the sarcasm in that statement. But he doesn't reply in what seems like the first time ever. You don't think about it too much; you're busy.
Two days later, you'll scroll through facebook and see someone post an old pic of Jared, saying that they'll miss him. You're pretty sure you know what that means.
You call Geoff while seeing post after post on Jared's profile and you're both unsurprised and yet in shock.
The following hours and days are the same. Emotionally you don't process it. You don't understand grief. You've never had to. But you know you hate all the friends that post on his facebook wall, after the fact. Now they show up. You've never heard of most of them. Where were they? They call him the nicest person in the world. Which is exactly the kind of thing you say to a person you don't want to hang out with after they're dead. Jared was kind, it's true. Probably because he didn't want anyone to feel what he felt on a daily basis.
It doesn't matter now.
Random details occasionally pass through your mind. He loved the peacefulness of the walk to the lake and was fearless about diving into from 50 feet up. He could be seriously silly at times, like when he dressed for Halloween as a baby. Bonnet and diaper and all. He couldn't turn his mind off, so he got obsessed with records as a healthier outlet. He was getting more into the art scene and made clocks out of records. He probably had depression.
Eventually, you just listen to "Goodbye Dear Friend" by Deer Tick. The lyrics hit you like a ton of bricks, so you play it over and over again and call it a day.

Beats X may be the greatest wireless earbuds yet
The Beats X connect to your phone wirelessly, but there's a cord linking the two earbuds.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
There’s something remarkable about the new Beats X earphones. It’s not so much their sound quality which is pretty good nor is it the rubbery build, their wirelessness or the ease with which they rest in your ears.
No, it’s the combination of all these things with two very specific, additional ingredients: a W1 chip and an iPhone. Well, make that three: the chip, the phone and an obsessive enough brain to care about how it all intermingles.
SEE ALSO: Apple might want to turn your headphones into convertible party speakers
I’m not a gadget dork I’d really rather not talk about processor speed or anything that ends in an acronym but I care immensely about how my devices mesh with and shape my life. Some people just use their phones: I worry about whether badge notifications on my home screen tick up my anxiety, I marvel still at its ability to control Spotify on my PlayStation, and I am convinced those of us humans who are addicted to internet-connected devices may one day be considered the first, primitive cyborgs.
The Beats X headphones, like Apple’s recent AirPods, inch us further along into that mechanical future. It’s not that they’re particularly futuristic or amazing in obvious ways, but the experience of using them is unlike most others.
There’s the standard Beats branding.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
The earbuds charge quickly via a Lightning port.
Apple and Beats understand that good design minimizes friction, and these new earbuds, which don’t plug into your phone but connect to it in seconds, smooth out the bumps you’ve encountered with other Bluetooth equipment.
Say what you will about Apple I’m on the record as believing it to be greedy, occasionally to the point of evil, and in some ways idea-starved but when they nail an idea, they nail it. Let’s start with the W1 chip: Apple unveiled the technology along with its AirPods last September, and it’s built into Beats X. (Don’t forget Apple famously paid $3 billion to acquire Beats in 2014; the company gets special treatment.)
The cord looks silly as heck
The chip aids the Bluetooth pairing process, removing the need to enter your Settings app to connect your iPhone to your earphones. Press the power button on Beats X, hold them near your phone and they’re paired. I know better than to call this carefully engineered bit of earbud innards “magic,” but it is something like magic fast and glitch-free. The connection is steady, with a longer range than other Bluetooth headphones I’ve tried, and using Siri via the attached microphone may give you the first Hermoment of your life.
Hit the Beats X power button near your phone for an invitation to connect
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
The process takes seconds and couldn’t be easier
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
The W1 chip only works with an iPhone (or iPad) running iOS 10. On other devices, you’ll have to pair the Beats X via regular ol’ Bluetooth, which is easy but not a friction-free process. It requires settings, button-holding, menus, all that bad stuff.
I’d rather not bother. And I know how that makes me sound: My papou emigrated from Greece with nothing, entering the U.S. via Mexico after days spent scraping barnacles from ships in a Tampico harbor, and now I’m exhausted at the thought of fiddling with too many wireless settings on my cellphone. Still, technology like this is exciting for the promise it holdsmay every gadget be so easy, dazzling and useful for everyone some day.
Note, however, that today is not that day.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
These guys are pricey
Beats X will set you back $149.95, and they’re at their best with an iPhone 7, which starts at $649. That’s a lot of money.
While I don’t have a single complaint about the audio quality, you can get better-sounding headphones for less, or, you know, eat pretty well for a week instead. My Beats X were not provided by the company, and I subsidized them almost entirely by selling old Magic: The Gathering cards on eBay (as one does).
Are they worth it? That’s impossible to answer: Your $150 is different than my $150. But I don’t know that I’ve ever liked another set of headphones more.
Simple things, done well
As far as I can tell, there’s nothing unique about the rubber nubbins that slide into your ears and deliver your Radiohead. But the Beats X are very lightweight, and the cord connecting the two earbuds balances well on your collaryou will not feel encumbered by these, and I’ve comfortably worn them for hours in the office, on the train and through a workout at the gym.
About that cord, though: It looks silly as heck. You will have to live with resembling a goofy librarian stereotype from decades past when you wear these things.
See? Goofball.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
The cord itself is useful, though.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
It’s a bit of a shame, because “cool factor” would’ve edged the Beats X closer to perfect. That cord has a few things going for it, though. Like I said, it’s well-balanced, so the earbuds don’t feel heavy. There’s a microphone for phone calls or Siri commands, volume controls, a play/pause button and a Lightning port for charging. The cord essentially means that, unlike Apple’s AirPods, everything you need for the Beats X to work is built right into the earphonesthere’s no case to plug in for charging, say.
And there’s another benefit. You can quickly pull the earphones out of your listening-holes and let them drop onto your chest if your attention is needed elsewhere. Because of the cord slung around your back, you don’t need to worry about Beats X falling out or getting lost. Each earbud is magnetic, so they’ll latch onto one another for extra security when you’re not using them.
Snap.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
As for the listening experience itself, I have no complaints. It’s possible that I care about audio quality more than the average person I’m not happy when headphones obscure the little blips, whimpers and creeping plucks of Radiohead’s “Paranoid Android,” and I need cans that won’t fuzz out the crunchy noise of “Mother Puncher” by Mastodon but I’m not an obsessive. I don’t use a portable headphone amp, and I generally stream music via Spotify at 160 kilobits per second (kbps).
The Beats X deliver clear sound with very little to complain about, though I occasionally felt it delivered slightly screechy audio: The percussion in “Cowboys” by Portishead had a bit of a stabby quality to it with these earphones, as did “Kiss it Better” by Rihanna.
Still, the earphones isolate sound very well and let you hear each layer of the music clearly. Hard to ask for more in a wireless earbud out of the box.
The worst part
It’s a good thing you’ll want to wear Beats X a lot, because the carrying “case” they come with is a joke.
Really, it’s a pouch, a flimsy thing with a wide opening that barely contains the earphones. I’ve yet to figure out the perfect way to fold the Beats X into that garbage, and part of me worries that trying to jam them in would do more harm than good.
Image: Lili Sams/Mashable
There’s really not a lot to say about this: It’s embarrassing that Beats shipped a $150 pair of earphones with nothing but a half-split condom for protection. At least they feel safe draped over your neck.
A glimpse into our future?
Beats X sound good and work well. The W1 chip makes communication between the earphones and your iPhone effortless, and they’re light enough that you may nearly forget you’re wearing them. Their construction means you’ll be happy even if you’re constantly taking them on and off.
It could be argued they represent a step forward for personal audio that may even eclipse the AirPods, which won’t fit every ear and require an external case to grapple with. These make the act of listening to anything via your iPhone, or communicating with Siri, buttery smooth in the way iMessage seals any irritating cracks in texting.
And so it’s yet another piece of personal technology that might make us all a bit more like cyborgs. If our future is covered in gadgets, though, at least it’ll sound good.
Beats X
The Good
Good sound quality Effortless pairing with Apple products thanks to W1 chip Comfortable in all situations, including workouts
The Bad
Fairly pricey Audio isn’t 100% perfect Gross carrying pouch
The Bottom Line
Thanks to their more universal design and smooth sound, the Beats X earphones are arguably better than Apple’s AirPods, but they don’t come cheap.
BONUS: The first manned hoverbike could finally fulfill your ‘Star Wars’ dreams
