unfortunately lachesis is my most neglected oc (which is a shame because they have so much potential) because i cannot stop thinking about the old man. atropos who's both the loyal knight and the dragon. atropos who's the senior dog thrown to the pound - they don't know why they were ripped away from normalcy, but they learned to bite and that's all they know how to do now. atropos who refuses a softer salvation anyways. atropos who believes suffering is the pinnacle of human nature and will inflict it onto others to remind them of how good they have it - how human they are in comparison - to judge them - to save them. all out of a disillusioned higher purpose
#i still need to polish them#because in my original notes atropos was a hunter because they explicitly protected the PEOPLE#rather than serve simply as just some means to clearing lovent's obstacles#on that note i think that's how atropos would be involved with the allmother entirely#they weren't born special or chosen. they were simply the wrong person at the Extremely Wrong Time#when lovent sent them to scout out an ancient holy site#what was i saying. oh yea#they were originally gonna involve disillusioned compassion and sadism#they truly do believe agony is the pathway to paradise. and because they eliminate the dangers faced by the people (monsters)#they inevitably became one so the people wouldn't grow lax in safety#the herd dog who bites the throats of the sheep it guards#atropos isn't supposed to be sympathetic imo#i don't really want them to be a tragic meow meow. they're tragic to some extent#because they didn't particularly ask for a lot of what happened to them#but how they play into their tragedy doesn't help their case by far#they're like your dad who underwent a really traumatic childhood and proceeded to become a worse perpetrator#of the cycle. at some point you can understand but you also have to realise this is still your Father who hurt you
