Just like them
With Hantengus clones♡ AHHH THIS IS PROBABLY THE CUTEST IDEA I CAME UP WITH
Warnings: female bodied reader, demon reader, harpy reader (on Urogi's part), reader is mentioned to have darker skin and thicker hair, slightly suggestive(?), fluff, mention of other uppermoons
Aizetsu
Aizetsu met you through douma. He found you, a demon with skin more melanated and one horn who didn't like to be around humans or demons. Douma decided to introduce you to a demon who is similar to you. His name is Aizetsu
Aizetsu's first impression of you was just as negative as yours. "You're not an upper rank? You must've run into some strong slayers... how sad," he frowned. You frowned as well. "It's a pity, but you're an upper rank, meaning you'd have to run into the hashira... it's terrifying, isn't it?" You look up at Aizetsu as his eyebrows knit at your response
Aizetsu decided to listen to douma on taking you in. Not just because douma is an upper rank, but because he didn't think he'd feel some happiness to be around another demon like him, it felt like a gift. He introduced you to his brothers, but you've always been quiet around them, feeling envy you can't have emotions like that too
Aizetsu was calm like you, which made you feel safer around him. The two of you would relate a lot to each other, which brought you closer, "I hate when Sekido yells at me. He's so mean, " you say with tears filling your water line. Aizetsu comes closer to you, also having the same sad expression, "me too... but I'd never yell at you, " he says and cups your cheek
Aizetsu only smiled around you, not all the time but once in a while. "Can we stay together forever? I don't want you to leave me, " he said with a trembling voice, holding back tears. "I can't leave you. My heart would break," you said, hugging him tightly and crying, making Aizetsu hug you back, crying as well
Sekido
Sekido met you, though, akaza. Despite akaza hating anyone weaker than him, he had some respect for Upper Moon 4 and found a demon, you who's a lot like Sekido
Sekido and you would bump heads a lot since both of you are easily angered and didn't take any shit from each other. "I'm much stronger than you! How dare you speak to me like that, let alone make that face at me, " he says, raising his voice. You snarl. "And how dare you, a man, speak to a woman like me like that. I don't give a damn if you're stronger. " You raise your voice back
Sekido gets very frustrated with you since he met someone who had the same level as anger as him, but oddly, that drew him closer to you. He couldn't help but smirk whenever you'd boss his brothers around and called them out on their stupidity. Finally, he'd met someone with common sense even if you were a pain in his ass
Sekido would always bring up how he's stronger and would kill you at any time he wished, but it always ends up being empty threats because he actually felt some enjoyment having you around
Sekido makes sure he's alone with you to hold your hand and look away from you. "The fuck are you doing now?" You said looking at him "Shut up. I'm just enjoying you're presents around me. Stupid woman, " he says, and you see his ears turning red. You chuckle "I enjoy your presents too, you stupid man"
Karaku
Karaku had met you through gyokko. You reminded him of another demon he knew and decided to bring you back to meet him, and boy, were you excited to meet the demon named Karaku
Karaku loved you immediately, and you loved him right back. "Wow, you're gorgeous! I haven't met any other demons with this skin tone as me and my brothers" Karaku laughs, having his arm around you. "Why thank you, and your hair is thick like mine too. It's very handsome if i might say"
Karaku and you would flirt back and forth even in front of his brothers, which would make sekido yell at you both. If you went on missions with Karaku and his brothers, you would get scolded just as much as Karaku by sekido for giving each other the most wicked ideas just for "fun" instead of taking your fights with slayers seriously
Karaku had a habit of always sticking his tounge at you if you ever got mad or upset to cheer you up and you couldn't help but always smile sticking your tounge out back at him and even sometimes putting your tounge on his making you both laugh
Karaku likes to cuddle with you under the moonlight alone. You have your arms around him as well with smile and close your eyes, resting your head on his chest. "I love you. Can i be your girlfriend?" You ask bluntly but still feeling flustered at your own question. "You were mine from the start, pretty girl"
Urogi
Urogi had a fight with his brothers for the first time ever and flew out of the house for a while to clear his head that day, but he never regretted that because he met you
Urogi was shocked to meet you but was really happy. "Wow! I never met a male harpy! your eyes say upper 4" You gasped and clenched your claws together and covered your mouth "Wow you're an upper rank! That's so freaking cool, dude!". The rush of excitement came to Urogi, and he had the biggest smile on his face. "I don't know what a harpy is, but yeah! And me? You look so freaking cool, too! Your wings are gorgeous!"
Urogi made it his priority to meet up with you after that day whenever he was done a mission and sometimes even brought you around his brothers. His favorite thing to do with you was to lock your talons together and fly high in the night sky
Urogi loved how you felt just as much joy in fighting humans as him and would even made it a game to torture random demon slayers you'd find and play catch with them with your bird like feet in the sky, laughing at their screams
Urogi is a big cuddler and didn't miss the chance to cuddle with you since you loved to cuddle to but never found the right demon to do that with until you met him. You two would be cuddling, facing each other with your arms and legs wrapped around each other and your wings covering you both. "Hey, stay with me forever. I don't think I'd feel joy if you left. I'm strong. I can protect you, " he says."I wasn't planning on flying anywhere with you, " you smiled.

I love your work so much and saw you have open request can I please request a female douma(from demon slayer ) in record of ragnarok.
( buddha. loki. Aphrodite. Qin shi )
A human turned God because of her cult because of hers beauty and after her becoming a demon somehow still was seen a godly plus she not being able to feel emotions makes her act friendly towards other gods calling them their best friend and doesn't care some hate her
You can do whatever you want with this request the thing I wrote was an idea I came up with.
A/N: Omg, one of my fav demon slayer characters! He may be an asshole, but he’s a funny asshole. I used the Uppermoons here as well, so WARNING, there may be mentions of; gore and murder. Also, this was one of my hardest pieces yet, so it may be kinda meh compared to others. Anyways, enjoy!! P.S: I couldn't come up with anything for Qin, so I didn't write for him, sorry!

🍭 He and you had a love-hate-okayish? relationship
🍭 While he did enjoy watching you tease and anger the other Gods without a care in the world, he didn’t enjoy how you just didn’t seem to show anything for anyone
🍭 You would take humans and break their bones and just letting them bleed on the ground for a while before letting them go free, without any explanation of the brutality
🍭 The Twelve Kizuki Pantheon was one you were not created into, but molded into
🍭 He smirked as you poked and prodded at your fellow pantheon member, Akaza, prompting the man to punch the top of your head off, making everyone else in attendance to the Gods’ Council meeting scream
“ She’ll be fine. Y/N stop fucking around. “
🍭 He glared at Muzan, your head, for being so brutal with his words, couldn’t he see you were basically dead?!
“ Aw~, Akaza-dono, why did you do that? It’s rude to treat your superiors so awfully~ “
🍭 Okay- wtf?!

🐍 Loki and you were basically best friends, despite your constant teases to Akaza
🐍 You smiled as he threw a pie filled with spiders in front of Aphrodite, making her scream and run away, her guards chasing after her
🐍 The Twelve Kizuki did not like him being around you, as it made you even worse of a person to deal with
🐍 Despite being the technical third strongest, behind Muzan and Kokushibo, God in your pantheon, you were by far the second most childish behind the girl whom you named Daki, that you adopted
🐍 Loki strolled in and would go with you in tormenting Akaza and today was no different, but what made him stop in his tracks was seeing you holding Gyokko, Upper Five’s head, staring at it with such dead eyes
🐍 Akaza knocked half your head off, which made him chuckle before standing upside down above you as you regenerated
“ You see how mean he is to me, Loki-dono? “
🐍 You give your ‘families’ such bad headaches to the point where the only person who can really handle you both is Kokushibo because he’s fairly quiet and ignores you both easily

💐 She adored your eyes so damn much!
💐 Aphrodite met you through Daki, as she wanted her new mentor to meet her technical adoptive mother
💐 And when she first saw you? Woo!
💐 You were teasing Akaza severely, causing him to get angry and punch the bottom half of your face off
“ Don’t touch me, you bastard. “
💐 She ran up to you and held your half head up, but it somehow appeared quickly, like it just disappeared and reappeared
💐 After you guys actually met, she had to admit, watching you tease your fellow Gods and everything just made her smile, especially when they tried killing you, which resulted in you hurting them without a care back
💐 She isn’t fond of you not really feelings things, it reminds her to much of Poseidon and that makes her feel gross
💐 Aphrodite also loves messing with your hair, just feeling the long locks that seemingly look knotted but are actually very well-kept just makes her smile

can i please request the upper moons +muzan falling for a human female reader please? i kinda wanna see how they treat reader different ( cause akaza don’t hurt women)
Ok, female version of this post, then. Again, it won't be pretty, Reader being a woman instead of a man won't make most of these guys act much different, since the reaction was more focused on Reader's humanity than the gender/sex. But they would feel it very differently, considering that this guys would be sexist AF (reminder that being sexist is more than hitting women).
For this time I will not be adding Muzan for tha sake of making something more abour him later (Sexism is an important topic for this prompt, and I am still figuring out how to make traist of his) sorry for that. :''/
Uppermoons reaction of falling in love with Human Female Reader
Warnings: Manga spoilers, Reader's death, Cannibalism, Yandere behavior, Mentioned torture, Non-consented body modifications (becoming a demon), Implied non-con sexual content, Predatory-animalistic behavior, Münchausen syndrome, Vore elements (not in a kinky way), Implied child abuse, Typical sexism of the time period, Mentions of menstrual period, And Each of these is a warning on their own.
Gyutaro (ft. Daki):
First things first, Daki loathes you. She sees you as hag trying to steal her big brother away from her. Good luck so she doesn't kill you.
"I have my eyes on you, you whore! I'm watching!" .... brats.
Meanwhile, Gyutaro knows he likes you but he doesn't want to acccept it. Liking a human? It's acary, a weakness against other demons and slayers.
Also, he is sure you won't want him, an ugly freak with a lady, what a laugh! He can't trust you, specially if you say you want him back. It's a lie.
He doesn't know how to behave with you, the only person he ever loved was his sister, and he was never able to tell her "no", and he is sure he won't be able to say it to you too. That is scary.
You have a lot of power over him, he protects you, takes care of you, obeys you when you tell him something, but he stays away most of the time.
He looks at you, yearning, to the point it's obssesive. You never leave his head.
Daki, because she has been also looking, knows if you do something, threats and destroys your things, protective over Gyutaro.
"Daki, ne... cut it off." "BUT ONII-CHAN!"
Make a move yourself, or this will continue until you die, since Gyutaro will also protect you from his sister, but won't be able to stop her completely. She hates you.
He won't force you to anything, respect you, understand you have it hard as a woman without him, so he won't hold it against you id you want to leave. Or at least he will try not to.
Still, against him? You will always be free.
Gyokko:
Gyokko is fast to figure put what he wants you to do, that he wants you to stay, even if it takes a bit more time to figure out how he feels about you.
You fill his taste, there is no mistake, and his tastes are the best. So he makes sure to praise you almost as much as his ability to choose.
"You are beautiful, no canvas can compare to you. Look at yourself and tell me I am right, that you don't deserve my praise and attention."
He will teach you a bit of his arts, even if he doesn't really expects you to learn in the same "profesional" way he does. Art for women is a hobby, and if it gets as far to be a job then they must abandon the idea of having husband and children.
Then again, he is not a husband, and having him gatting you away from human standards and society might give you the chance to be a true artist.
He eats parts of you as punishment id he thinks you crossed the line, but he is more lenient he would be if you were a man. "Woman are more fragile and hysterical, of course you I need to be understanding."
3 strikes is a foot in his mouthes, 6 to the knee, 9 all the leg. You can only have so many strikes before becoming more a burden than you are worth, without limbs.
You can beg for him to turn you or die, neither way he will make a piece of art of your body before your death. You will be sublime no matter what, but life will only come with begging.
He will make you stay awake through the pain, he will open you up a hole in your stomach, mold it into a form that represents the new birth. He will take away your organs, use your blood as make-up, dress you up nicely in red and white.
He won't even take a bite off as he pours his blood in the new hole, making you his forever.
Hantengu:
He cowers away at the slightlest chance of falling in love.
He disappeared, almost from thin air. Hiding... from a human... Upper 4 for you, ladies...
He comes back to cry about it, sobbing and sometimes hurting you with his clwas by accident as he grabs you.
He had several wives in his life as human, he knows how to treat them, or at least he should know, feeling pressured.
Why can't he just treat you like he treated them? Why is he so scared? He knows he is not doing it right but he can't bring himself to be charming and behave as a gentleman.
He is aware of his flaws, and id terrified with the idea you will leave him for it, even if he is not around most of the time, coming back and forward, comes to cry and then leaves.
Are you food? Are you beloved? Are you useless? Are you beautiful? Are you conforting? Are you nice? Are you about to die because of him? Are you going to reject him?
He will stab you in your sleep, or in an argument, he killed wives during those before. All with a knife instead of his abilities as a demon.
He didn't have to be a demon to kill women and children, and he is really sorry, but you had to die for his sake.
Sekido:
Ok, you have three seconds before shit explodes, so if you run you might save yourself.
3... 2... 1... "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO ME YOU PIECE OF SHIT?!" There it is, that is all it took him.
A few days he kept think of you and he knew... you fucked up. You must scape until he calms down.
The fact that a fragile human, a defenceless woman, can make his heart beat faster and his face blush is simoly embarrasing. He hates it, it makes him angry, it makes him feel vulnerable.
The other clones are your best bet to get it this far, go for Karaku, he will keep you alive only for the sake of teasing Sekido.
Both of you know you will die, the more the likes you, the worse he will feel, and he will take it out of you.
You are just a human, you won't be able to survive him unless you become a demon, but he will not accept your refusal. He won't even tell you.
The relationship becomes stable in your new form, he just bites your neck and opens his wrist with his nails to transform you.
"Don't you dare trying to get away from me, woman."
Karaku:
"Gonna rock your body all night, it's lust at first sight" - probably Karaku if he knew Chris Crocker.
That is your chance for survival, and you take it, making him chose lust over gluttony.
He does threat of getting rid of you, but he makes sure to get you money, besides the flirting and gifts, considering he is aware he basically ruined your chance of a married life. He teases you about it when he feels cruel.
He makes sure to pleasure you, even if you don't want to, you don't get to make that choice.
It does take him more years than if you were a man to realize this is not normal lust, but that he is romantically attected to you.
He decides to transform you into a demon, doesn't warn or ask, when he realizes it.
He does it during sex, he bites you, moaning against your new wounds and the taste of blood. He will open his neck for you.
He will offer yourself to you once you wake up as a demon, memories lost and replaced with hunger and thirst. Not remembering the cold feeling of losing blood against his skin.
"Hey love~. Spend the night with me, will ya? I am all yours now, show me what you can do with it~."
Urogi:
Good news, Urogi doesn't want to hurt you.
Bad news, Urogi will hurt you anyway.
It's not even on purpose, he just gets carried away when he plays with you. He is not the most aware of the clones, so playful scratches and bites become dangerous.
He chases you sometimes, always wants attention, to play with you.
He likes to stay with you while you sleep, cuddling against you, sometimes you find him smelling around your scrotch when you are in your period, keeping his face around the area like a dog...
He gets bored of your limitations rather easily, so he decides to try to turn you i to a demon, consecuences be damned.
The last straw is a night when you have your period, the bited part of your legs your thighs, excited in different ways by the scent of ruined blood and vagubal fluids.
Then he will bleed into you, biting his own wrist off, feeding you chunks of his arms after spreading the blood over you.
He will chew and feed you mouth to mouth if it troubles you, only wanting to play with you, the new demon you.
Aizetsu:
His priority is that you are human.... and again, he is rude and hurtful about it.
"It's so sad for both of us. You can't be enough for me just like I can't be what you need. Pathetic." This bit-
Just a heartbeat put of place and knots in the throat were enough for Aizetsu to figure it out, and he didn't like it.
Humans are meant to die, besides, he can't be the husband you would need.
Still, he takes the chance of comfort, to pretend for both of you. He manipulates you into feeling pity for him, and that is how the relationship is formed.
He does kill you, painless and softly conforting you first, the second it becomes a problem.
He will also let you have your last words and wishes, will tell you that he wishes he could have been husband material for you.
He makes a memorial, kisses your corpse goodbye before leaving you behind.
"This is so sad."
Nakime:
Truth be told, she is not surprised.
She can see the appeal in you, she has always prefered women over men, Muzan being the exception, even if he is the exception of many things.
Nakime is very lenient with you, she understands that, as a human, you are more fragile than her, so she must treat you carefully.
She would not put you above Muzan, but she takes care of you, gives you gifts, spends time with you, praises you. You are a lovely lady to her.
Still, unless he approves she will not be transforming you. If he does, she will without any second thought or opinion.
The breaking deal is the next one, she kidnaps you for a while and the leaves you safely at your home. She controls all the interactions.
Why should she listen to you? She adores you, but you are still a human, nothing worth her obedience.
She would not kill you, no matter what. The only way you could die like this is suicide, age or ilness.
Then again, at the end Muzan decides to let her turn you, so he bleeds into a cup and feeds you ger blood, not letting you out until you do.
Akaza:
It starts when Akaza accidently calls you "Koyuki..." the first time you met. He fell hard and fast, and in a painful way.
He begged you to stay, not really knowing why. He cried, grabbed your legs as his knees stayed on the floor.
He needs you, craves for you, to the point of obsession. It takes him a while for him to realize he could turn you into a demon, because part of him venerates the image of a human girl with pink eyes and cheeks.
He can't hurt you when you deny him, but he wants to. He needs to, you have to understand why you should want to be a demon. Why you should want to be forever young, strong and healthy, to stay in the way things were before the poison in the well.
At the same time, he wants to take care of you, and he starts inviting himself to your house, doing the chores and watching you sleep.
He doesn't understand why he is always cheking your temperature and if you are breathing correctly, there is something relieving but also off putting when you always are ok. As if you should be sick.
Maybe part of him wants you to be sick so he can take care of you, but he can't hurt you.
You can't get rid of him, no matter how much you try, he always ends tucking you to bed and forcing you to stay in there until you sleep. He never listens, always treat you as if you were fragile and sick.
He learns how to make your favorites, cleans the house and laundry, starts getting money and pretends to nurse you, even if you don't have anything.
He doesn't know how to feel when you die of age, it's the only way you could die like this, but he breaks. Again.
Sometimes he still calls you Koyuki.
Douma:
Douma starts comparing you with Kotoha and his mother, he is quite vocal about it.
He tells you how silly you are, that his mom and Kotoha were the same, but each of you had your charm.
Yes, "had". He mostly talks about you in past tense, ge is planning to eat you soon. Kotoha almost scaped him and his mother became "too irrational, killed my father with a knife but poisoned herself" with time, so he wants to spare you the chase.
He talks about your face, your eyes, your hair and skin, mostly, he does things he did with Kotoha, hoping to make you laugh. Simple pleasures, not meant to last.
Both women left him, he is 100% sure you would if he gave you the chance, so he doesn't. He kept you by his side for some months, at most.
You are fun to be with, and he is sure he is fun to be around with too... maybe. Not that it matters, you don't really have a choice. Your words against his.
Also, turning you into a demon would give you the chance to run away while he is in a meeting with the other moons. How silly and stupid would it be from him!
He has made his mind to eat you the second he notices that, whatever he is feeling, this lust hunger, this craving, is like Kotoha's.
Because of his experience with her, he will make sure it's in his room, to make it right this time. Also, he will break your leg first, so you can run, coveribg your mouth and cooing you as you try to scream.
He will eat your tongue and lips first, complimenting the taste and texture, in a soft kiss, not really caring if you want it or not. That way you won't be able to formulate your screams for help.
He starts eating you from below, wanting to finish with your head and eyes since he had to blow Kotoha's. He doesn't want to repreat the regret of ruining such a pretty face.
Douma takes his time with you, talking softly and gently, praising you you taste and feel in his mouth, praising how you look.
He is more than satisfied after he finished, stomach full and you forever inside of him. Lovely.
Kokushibou:
This is the first time in his life that he wants the attention of a woman that isn't his mother.
He never felt attracted to women (or anyone, even if he always felt more in place sharing his life with other men), his wife included, he married her as his duty of producing heirs.
Having a woman by his side has always been a responsibility at best, a chore at worst.
But he wants you, and he can't understand it. It's new and confusing, that is the only reason he notices a few days after he catched feelings. Because loving women, wanting women, it's not normal for him.
He watches you, even yearns for you, but his pride and confusion don't make him do anything.
He blames you, resents you, calls you "a temptress" in his mind. What have you done to him? At least he doesn't conpare you to his his brother, but his other relationship with women don't let him relate you to a pleasure.
You are also human, meant to die like his mother and wife did, meant to be remember just as someone's husband and mother. Why are you stealing his attention, then? There is nothings special about you.
But this way it's easier to pretend he doesn't care the moment you die, easier than with Yoriich.
You are lovely, he keeps you around, but besides that? You are just a woman. A pause from his life as a samurai demon at best, a distraction at worst.
He will resent you after you die, but he will also forget you the same way he forgot about the other women in his life. There are only two people in his life with any importance, one was a boy to a man, the other is his King and Master. Women were never important in his life.

Something I love about demon slayer is just how....human most of the demons we see are, even before we find out their backstories.
Rui's desire for a real family. Something that he wanted so bad,he basically forced these strangers into it and punished them when they didn't act right. He was getting a family and damn everyone who got in his way including his so called "family members".
Gyutaro and daki's relationship. The fact that they literally shared one body because of what happened last time they were separated, even though they don't actually remember it. The fact that gyutaro refused to part from daki, even though she was holding him back, for a promise that neither remembered until the very end.
Susamaru's almost childlike excitement and genuine love for "playing"with her balls. Something that reminds me so strongly of my 8 year old little sister that it horrifies me to think about how old she could've been when she was turned into a demon.
Gyokko's love for"art" and almost giddiness at his "creations"no matter how grotesque they are. Something that makes me believe that he was some sort of artist when he was human.
Akaza's utter refusal to not only eat women but also Kill them, and his pure hatred for douma over it. Even though it would have made him stronger, stronger than even douma. For a reason he didn't know until his death.
Kokushibo's love for being a samurai. A desire he carried on for centuries, even though he by all means was strong enough to never use a sword ever again.
Heck even muzan's obsession with immortality. His fear of dying, and his desire to live forever. A fear that is so purely human, one mirrored by so many people and it's terrifying to see what it had turned him into.
It kills me how muzan could turn all these people into man eating monsters, erase all memory of their human lives, even their names. And all of them still maintaining human traits long after they had forgotten what it meant to be one. Traits and wants and fears that stubbornly carried on in them no matter how hard muzan tried to erase it. And I think that's beautiful.

LIKE DAMN BRO.
then we get to THAT part. the fucking bbg of the season, my precious little aizetsu decapitated by genya. y'all should of heard me i was like "NOOOOO" when i saw that scene and my aunt goes, "wth happened who died?" and i was like "my husband!" XD
anyways i was so fucking sad when that happened. bc aizetsu's face looked so defeated. but with genya being a demon or whatever the fuck he got going on- like bro. bro was on DEMON TIME. literally.
he looked like genos from one punch man when i saw his eyes. then the black and yellow hair reminded me of shadow the hedgehog. idk thats just what i thought when i saw genya.
i havent read the manga so idk what happens after, but i hope genya is like nezuko and doesn't hurt tanjiro in the next episode. the only way that's gonna happen is plot armor. which is basically saving their asses atp. bc if they're fighting an upper moon 4 ALONE. WITHOUT THE HELP OF A HASHIRA- then yeah plot armor is gonna weasel her ass in and save them.
like imagine if you were a kanoe like tanjiro fighting an upper moon 4, who has four fucking counterparts (i know there's five or six BUT FOR RIGHT NOW THERE IS FOUR) you'd be dead. period.
besides from all of this let's get to my girl mitsuri coming through and saving them swordsmiths at the village. like omg when she started slicing these demon hoes i was like "that's my bitch!" i got a laugh in when tecchin and the other swordsmith were "fighting" over mitsuri caring over them. tbh i would too. so i aint gon blame em.
i did not know her sword could do that though with the whole flexibility like thing. i was thinking that obanai could do a flexible sword since he's a serpent hashira and he carries a snake around with him. but idk idk i didn't make the characters just my opinion.
i cant wait to see the next episode of demon slayer. i got spoilers from the manga and i know that the quadruplets are gonna combine and form into zohakuten. sad to see them go.

Chapter 14: The Bloody Altar
Over one month has passed since the start of the infiltration mission within the Eternal Paradise Cult. High-ranked monks suspect the presence of Slayers within their temple, leading them to orchestrate the gruesome Bloody Altar trial with the intent of purging the intruders.
Author Note: We are midway of the Eternal Paradise Cult Arc... Enjoy a bit more the angst and blood bath before things get better (?)...
Kyoso-sama means "Revered Founder".
Warnings: Demonic cult rituals, graphic depictions of gore, unsettling deaths. Also, starting here there will be spoilers of the Final Arcs of the manga, even if the story is not canon.
Within the boundless expanse of the Infinite Fortress, several demons had been summoned by the biwa-playing woman on the commands of Lord Muzan. Merely two months had passed since a similar gathering had taken place, following the death of Daki and Gyutaro, Upper Moon Six.
Among the attendees in this fresh assembly were Upper Moons One, Two, and Three, as well as two unranked demons. They regarded one another with a mix of curiosity and disdain, their gazes laden with intrigue.
"Since we are summoned again, does that mean Hantengu and Gyokko were killed? What a bunch of incompetents," Akaza commented icily.
"Come on, don't be so harsh on the dead, Akaza," Douma playfully chided, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "Haaa... I'll miss Gyokko's company. He was the only one of you visiting me in my temple! Fortunately, I still possess his treasured vases. But back to our visitors... it's the first time we've seen them here, isn't it?"
His gaze landed on the nearby floating platform hosting the two other demons. One among them was a youthful figure, garbed in the Demon Slayer gakuran, partially covered by a black kimono cinched with a blue obi. He adorned various magatama jewelry. His expression displayed some apprehension, yet he maintained a martial, almost arrogant posture, a hand resting on his Nichirin sword.
"Allow me to introduce Kaigaku," plainly stated Upper Moon One, Kokushibo, seated in seiza at a slight distance. "He is a Thunder Breathing user whom I transformed only a few weeks ago. Yet, he has swiftly slayned and consumed many of his former comrades for Lord Muzan, including Pillar successors. Though he still has a long way to go, his potential is undeniably promising."
"Ooh, I see," Douma interjected, his expression radiating fake admiration, his customary sardonic smile intact. "Delighted to meet you, Kaigaku! I hope we'll get along well, you and I. And the other guest, wouldn't it be...?"
His gaze shifted toward the other demon. This one was clad in a hōe, a black monk's robe, overlaid by a golden and crimson kesa. His wide straw hat had the shade of dried blood and veiled his eyes; yet, his predatory grin pierced the dimness, clearly visible.
"Now, Kyoso-sama. Do you not recognize the fervent devotee you brought into a new existence?"
"Meikaishi! Is it not some forty years since we last met? To be fair, you're quite unrecognizable since you've climbed the ranks of our Cult. My devotees speak highly of you. One might even presume you're aspiring to take over my role as the supreme leader, don't you think?"
"I would never dare such presumption," his interlocutor retorted, his voice dripping with saccharine tones. "I'm only seeking to carve my own path, helping as many devotees as possible to achieve Enlightenment."
"Sure, sure... with your Dreams, I suppose? It seems like your method finds success with the most unstable followers. I wish you the best of luck, then!"
The high-ranked monk didn't appear to appreciate the encouragement from his superior, which seemed to underscore that he was not viewed as a true contender for supremacy within the Cult's inner echelons.
"The Master is here," Nakime warned coldly, cutting short their defiant exchange.
Raising their heads in tandem, the demons caught sight of their creator poised on a suspended platform above them. Muzan gazed down at them from his elevated position, seated on a red velveted, Western-style chair. Around him, the remnants of his laboratory lay scattered, a mute testament to a fit of rage prior to their gathering.
"Gyokko and Hantengu located the Village of the Swordsmiths but failed to completely destroy it before being killed by pathetic humans," Muzan announced in haughty and cool voice. "Yet, within their embarrassing failure, they discovered something infinitely more interesting there than what you've presented to me for centuries. Kamado Nezuko has conquered the sun."
He mentally transmitted to them the latest memories of the Kamado siblings, seen through Hantengu's eyes. The Sun Breathing user adorned with hanafuda earrings and the Demon Slayer mark, as well as his younger sister whose Blood Demon Art only hurts demons, appeared involved again in the recent annihilation of Kizuki members.
"Deliver this girl into my possession," their master articulated slowly as he stared at them with his crimson eyes. "Once I absorb her, even the sun shall kneel before me."
"How exhilarating! We will do our best to fulfill your desires, Muzan-sama," Doma rejoiced, flashing his canines in a falsely genuine smile. "But tell us, Master, what are Meikaishi and Kaigaku doing here?"
Muzan cast a withering glance at Douma. He loathed his constant cheerfulness and levity. He looked forward to conquering the sun to rid himself of the other demons by reabsorbing them. But for now, they could still be useful to him in his research and to keep nuisances out of his path.
Suddenly, Kaigaku, Nakime, and Meikaishi doubled over in pain, hands pressed against their bloodied faces. When they straightened up, their irises now bore the renowned mark of the Upper Moons, imperceptibly etched by Muzan's swift moves. In one of their eyes, the kanji for "Upper Rank" 上弦 was inscribed, while in the other eye, the numbers Six, Five, and Four were respectively displayed for Kaigaku, Meikaishi, and Nakime. Their foreheads also bore a wound mark where he had injected his blood into them.
The demon lord meticulously wiped the blood-soaked claw of his index finger onto a fine handkerchief, which he disdainfully tossed toward his subordinates before continuing:
"Kaigaku will replace Daki, Meikaishi will take Gyokko's position, and Nakime will step into Hantengu's place. I expect you to absorb numerous humans to prove yourselves worthy of your new ranks. Nakime, I want you to use your newfound powers to locate their headquarters using the information left by Gyokko. Meikaishi, Douma... Slayers have infiltrated your respective temples. What are you waiting for to exterminate them?"
His voice was like cutting daggers aimed at his subordinates. Meikaishi appeared surprised by the news, unlike Douma, whose expression remained as carefree and joyful as ever.
"Haaaa, well... I just wanted to have a little fun, since they don't bother me at all! Observing their futile exertions was quite entertaining."
"I shall ensure to track them down and kill them in your honor," Meikaishi proclaimed with a deep bow.
"Dispose of these pests swiftly. Find me the Kisatsutai's headquarters and the sun-conquering demon. Do not appear before me again unless you've accomplished this."
Concluding with these words, Muzan dissolved into nothingness in the span of a heartbeat and the demons were promptly returned to their original abodes, accompanied by the haunting tones of the biwa.
The same night, you and Giyuu lingered within a chaya, a tea house enlivened by graceful geishas, waiting for an informant. This establishment lay in a town close to the temple under your scrutiny and was part of the wisteria facilities' network lending their support to the Corps' clandestine efforts. Kyojuro was also present, maintainging a concealed vigil outside the building, ensuring no one was tracking you.
Over a month had transpired since the beginning of your infiltration mission within the Eternal Paradise Cult. Your team consisted of the three of you, along with Kocho Shinobu, Hashibira Inosuke, and Tsuyuri Kanao, though the latter trio was deployed to a separate temple a few hours' journey distant from your location. Additionally, the local wisteria operatives lent their assistance, as well as a handful of disillusioned cult adherents who sought to escape from the sect's clutches.
Extricating yourselves from the cloistered walls of the scrutinized temple was no trifling feat, given the Eternal Paradise Cult's stringent isolationist doctrines. However, as fresh initiates, you still relished a measure of freedom not anymore afforded to those further enmeshed within its convoluted tapestry. Furthermore, certain tasks necessitated regular trips into the outside world, be it chores, proselytizing, pilgrimages, or recruitment campaigns. These opportunities allowed you to switch disguises and gather in places like this chaya...
"Our informant is late," you remarked absentmindedly. "I hope he hasn't been caught."
Facing you, Giyuu nodded slightly, his expression unchanging. You had chosen for him a Western businessman's attire and hat that concealed his long hair. Even though the outfit was a starking contrast to his usual style (which was the intention, in order to make him unrecognizable), it suited him well. Your own attire, borrowed from the establishment, transformed you into a maiko, an apprentice geisha.
Through the complexities of this covert operation, Giyuu's steadfast resolve proved a reassuring constant. The natural synergy between you that existed since the beginning of your demon-hunting career had fortified further during this mission. Although not very expressive, the Water Hashira seemed to appreciate your collaboration, which was rather flattering.
To alleviate the tension of the wait, you served him sake, as was expected of a hostess.
"Doesn't it bother you?" he suddenly asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Rengoku. He's been glaring at us from outside for a while now. Actually, he does it every time I am near you."
"Oh... That's how everyone looks at me now within the Corps, except for Kamado-kun and you. I'm starting to get used to it," you lied with a faint smile. In reality, you hated it but had no choice but to try and accept it.
Trying to divert your thoughts from Kyojuro, you gingerly brought your own sake glass to your lips with curiosity. It wasn't as unpleasant as regular human food, but could it inebriate you? Or would your demonic constitution neutralize the effects of alcohol right away?
"I understand their caution," Giyuu tempered. "You're an exceptional swordwoman, and your Blood Demon Art is as strong as that of one of the Twelve Kizuki. If you were to break your word, it would add a powerful new enemy to our list. That being said, I don't think that's the sole reason for Rengoku's hostility. No man would appreciate his fiancée in the company of another suitor, especially dressed as a maiko."
You instantly spat out the sake onto Giyuu's face, coughing loudly. He froze, his brows furrowing and eyelids closed tightly. The sake must be burning him! Using your cloth handkerchief, you panickedly wiped his face. Observing the scene from a distance, Kyojuro nearly fell from the branch where he was perched, leaning to comprehend what was happening. His angle of view and the narrowness of the window made it difficult to gauge the situation.
"I'm so sorry!... I should stop trying to drink or eat while someone is talking to me. Kyojuro, my fiancé? My suitor? ...You?"
He took the cloth and continued the task of self-drying, nodding slightly.
"Rengoku had planned to propose to you after his mission on the Mugen Train. He came to talk to me about it beforehand, to give me a chance to act before him. But the events unfolded before any of us could talk to you. "
Kyojuro's characteristically magnanimous nature shone through the story, offering his competitors a fair shot. You weren't sure what strucked you more deeply, the insight into Kyojuro's intentions before he confronted Upper Rank Three, or Giyuu's matter-of-fact disclosure of his own affections. While your former suitor had informed you of the Water Hashira's feelings for you, you had remained skeptical since he hadn't shown any clear signs of them until now. Or rather, you had refused to aknowledge the signs of his regard, you mused in retrospect: the dried flowers enclosed with his letters, his company when he was otherwise solitary, his lingering touch that occurred during seemingly casual interactions. Your mind raced, seeking for a response to give him, just as your informant entered the private room you were in.
"Are you Masako Himawari-san and Shimizu Suiro-san?" asked the man dressed in a samui, a work outfit typically worn by monks.
"That's correct," you confirmed. "Are you Watanabe Ichiro-san?"
With a wary nod, the man took a seat beside you, visibly nervous.
"I'll only provide intel in exchange for your support in getting me out of this infernal cult," he reminded, a tremor in his voice. "Promise me you'll protect me after this meeting. The authorities have turned a deaf ear until now..."
"Don't worry," you said with a confident smile. "You're talking to the right people to help you."
Giyuu remained silent. He had a knack to inadvertently alienate those he engaged a conversation with, so you had advised him to let you lead the conversation—which suited him perfectly, as he disliked talking in general. If your informant trusted women enough to speak with you alone, you wouldn't have asked him to come at all.
Ideally, Kyojuro would have been the preferred for this kind of interaction. He knew how to put people at ease and reassure them. However, his previous interaction within the chaya alongside you had proved discomforting, his unease palpable while in close proximity to you donned in maiko attire. Besides, he had trouble controlling the volume of his voice for a long time. Consequently, you had deemed it judicious to swap his and Giyuu’s roles.
Though regarding you with skepticism, the monk, bolstered by Giyuu's imposing presence, began to divulge the most recent instructions he had received from his ecclesiastical order...
When night descended on the subsequent day, as presaged by your informant, the three of you were summoned to partake in the trial of the Bloody Altar.
Despite the lengthy exchange within the chaya, you didn't learn much about that ominous trial, except that it was supposed to determine the devoted followers from the wayward. The last Bloody Altar, which took place a decade ago, had witnessed followers ascending in rank, meeting their end, or succumbing to madness. Rumor had it that Meikaishi himself, the temple's head and a preeminent spiritual guide of the Cult, would preside over this rite. While you had yet to cross paths with him, you were fairly certain that he was a high-ranked demon, considering he was seen like the promising successor of the Revered Founder ruling over the sect, and on whom Shinobu, Inosuke, and Kanao were investigating on their own. The other Demon Slayers team hadn't responded to your encrypted letter asking for updates, their silence concerning, but you hadn't had the time to visit them before the ritual began.
The organization of the Bloody Alter shortly after the news of the demise of Upper Moons Four and Five at the Swordsmith Village led you to believe that this was not a random event. The Cult's leaders likely harbored suspicions about your presence within their ranks and were attempting to flush you out. While this also presented an opportunity for you to purge the demons, you had to be extremely cautious about your next steps, especially with the lives of so many innocents at stake. Suspecting that Meikaishi possessed a hypnotic Blood Demon Art enabling control over dreams, you had brought talismans with you in an attempt to shield your comrades against it.
The main hall of Meikaishi's temple was filled with devotees, all gathered for the solemn ritual of the Bloody Altar. Among the congregation stood you, Giyuu, and Kyojuro, arranged in a discreet row distant from the central platform. You blended relatively unnoticed in the crowd: since the beginning of the infiltration mission, Kyojuro's typically striking appearance had been subdued with raven-black hair dye; his lost and colorful eyes were normally blindfolded like a blind man, but he had removed the cloth to be able to peak. On your part, you were using your powers to conceal your demonic appearance and had also dyed your hair black. Only Giyuu hadn't needed to alter his appearance too much, aside from his Demon Slayer attire and haori, which he had exchanged for the cultists' samui; however, he no longer wore his characteristic ponytail and kept his long hair untied.
Separating from your katanas had been a necessary concession throughout the mission, each hidden away at separate locations. However, for this trial, you had retrieved them and concealed them near you using talismans, ready to use them against the demons when the opportunity arose.
Meikaishi's priests began the ceremony, their chants weaving hypnotic cadences as burning incense filled the air with an entrancing fragrance. You wondered if the incense was mixed with psychotropic substances.
Suddenly, the suave, deep, and powerful voice of Meikaishi echoed through the hall, seeming to come from everywhere at once. Its timbre sent shivers cascading down your spine.
"Welcome to the Bloody Altar, my faithful. Today, we shall sift the virtuous from the unworthy, reward the pure souls and unmask sinners whose karma is tainted."
Your eyes darted in vain, trying to locate the demon. You turned your attention back to the dais. A young woman in pristine ceremonial robes was slowly ascending the steps toward the altar, her movements synchronized to the symphony of chants and tolling gongs. She turned to face the crowd and raised her arms to the sky, looking entranced. Something gleamed in her hand—a ceremonial dagger. When you realized what was about to happen, it was too late. The young woman slit her own throat above the altar.
Kyojuro and Giyuu tensed, poised to intervene, and you discreetly held them back as best you could. Despite the distance, the smell of blood reached you; the victim was a marechi. After the battle against Akaza, the Upper Moons now knew that a demon other than Nezuko was fighting alongside the Slayers. The sacrifice's choice wasn't random: it was a trap set by your enemies, aimed at unveiling your presence. While breathing slowly to control your demonic instincts and maintain your façace, you whispered to your comrades:
"Not yet. Meikaishi hasn't shown himself yet. There are too many civilians in the room. We must act cautiously, or we risk a massacre."
"We cannot let innocent people perish!" protested Kyojuro through gritted teeth, barely containing his indignation. "The three of us are more than capable of protecting them!"
"We're likely dealing with one of the Twelve Kizuki, maybe an Upper Moon. We can't afford a mistake. Let's wait," you commanded firmly.
Kyojuro's jaw clenched, his anger radiating through the furious look he shot at you. However, he begrudgingly resumed his seat, tense as a drawn bowstring. Giyuu followed suit, his brows knit and gaze fixed on the altar ahead, still contemplating the idea of intervening at the cost of discretion. The victim's blood flowed over the altar's basin, descending along sigils engraved into the floor, encircling the gathered disciples. The patterns briefly lit up, then faded, absorbing the blood and leaving only bare ground. Was this the arcane method by which the demon constructed and masked his traps? Simultaneously, the toll of a gong reverberated, plunging all the devotees into a slumber, including Giyuu and Kyojuro, despite the protective charms they bore. Like previously in the cave, the power did not affect you; you managed to close your eyes and tilt your head at the same time as your neighbors, simulating sleep.
A profound silence fell upon the grand hall. Time seemed to pass slowly as you willed your heartbeats into deliberate cadence. Resisting the urge to pry your eyes open, you leaned on your heightened senses to grasp the situation without revealing your vigilance.
Amidst the stillness, the measured thud of footsteps resonated, reverberating like the tolling of an ominous bell. From the sound, you could deduce that the demon must be of tremendous stature. You harnessed your every reserve of composure, not allowing your breathing or heart rate to escalate. The suffocating weight of your adversary's aura filled the air. Though the compulsion to glimpse your opponent pressed heavily, you restrained, opting to endure until he drew nearer.
The demon deliberate paced slowly through the rows, testing your nerves. Due to the echoes, it was hard to pinpoint his exact location, and he emitted no scent. Sometimes, you felt like you could sense his burning gaze on you. Abruptly, the footfalls ceased.
An infinitely long moment seemed to pass, during which you remained perfectly still, forcing yourself to breathe slowly and not hold your breath. Then, intuition screamed a warning. Your eyelids snapped open, and you found yourself face to face with the temple's high priest. His head was shrouded by a vast, blood-red kasa, but you could catch the vermillion glint of his eyes underneath, contrasting with the black of his sclera. One eye bore the kanji "Upper Rank (上弦)," the other, "Five (伍)."
Your heart stuttered in a wild beat.
"An impure demon lurks within the ranks of the devout," intoned the Upper Moon with a twisted Buddha-like smile.
Without hesitation, you unsheathed your sword in a vertical strike, breaking the invisibility seal protecting it. The demon recoiled, narrowly avoiding the strike as the brim of his hat was sundered. Rising above the sleeping worshipers, you executed several swift movements, your pursuit unyielding as you sought to sever the demon's head. You didn't hesitate to use the shoulders of the dozing individuals as footholds. Several times, your opponent aimed to snatch innocents to shield himself, but each time, aided by your breath to slow his movements and hasten your own, his stratagems were thwarted. Unfazed, Meikaishi's smile only widened, embracing a veneer of open cruelty that played across his features.
Your chase through the ceremonial hall brought you near the altar, where the the lifeless form of the maiden rested. Its nearness ignited your hunger, making your mouth water, yet you wrested your focus back to the task at hand. The demon seemed ready to say something, but you didn't give him the chance. Lunging at him, you executed your preferred decapitation technique.
Time Breathing, Fourth Form: Death Knell Tolls!
The monk attempted to dodge, but you prove faster. Surprise flared in his eyes as your blade met his throat, unyielding as forged metal. Every muscle in your body coiled, your lungs hissing with air, teeth grinding as you summoned the entirety of your strength to finish the cut. There! A surge of power, and the katana plunged into the demon's steel-hard flesh, and soon his head flew into the air, rolling down the steps.
Gracefully landing upon the alter, your gaze followed the severed head, only to realize that it wasn't even starting to disintegrate... A fragment of knowledge surfaced—a warning Tanjiro had imparted: decapitating an Upper Moon might not guarantee their demise.
Abruptly turning around, you barely had time to witness the headless body of Meikaishi performing a series of nine mudras, in an altered rendition of the "Kuji-kiri".
"CHITEN – RIN – KAI – TO – SHA – JIN – RETSU – ZAI – FU!"
The voice emanated from the detached head. A naginata materialized from the chest of the headless priest before you. You coiled up, ready to spring forward and slice the body into pieces, hoping to delay the rapid regeneration. However, the demon's velocity had surged, and the naginata impaled you before your could hit its wielder. You spat blood, gripping the weapon's shaft with one hand in a futile bid to splinter it with your demonic might.
"Your sacrifice shall feed the eternal cycle of life and death," the monk's voice proclaimed.
Your opponent made a sudden movement, propelling you amidst the devoted throng. You landed against Giyuu and Kyojuro, whose strong bodies cushioned your fall.
Your guts were scattered outside your form, and your regeneration wasn't as rapid as that of an Upper Moon. You rose on trembling forearms, vomiting blood onto your companions' garments. Meikaishi advanced, triumph etched upon his features. His head was back to his shoulders, and he swung his naginata above him, flinging blood in all directions, showering his followers in a crimson rain.
"They are your acolytes, are they not? Dreams lay bare the deepest feelings and intentions. You reside within their subconscious... particularly within his," he remarked, pointing his Naginata towards Kyojuro. "Though for a brief period, you were a disciple within my temple. Therefore, I shall grant one of your desires before sending you to hell. Which among them do you wish me to end last?"
Your breath hastened. You got back on your feet, pointing your sword straight ahead. You had to protect them while they found a way out of the dreams' realm.
"Struggling to decide? Such a pity... Allow me to offer guidance. I shall claim the life of this one first."
He shifted his gaze toward Giyuu, and you assumed a defensive posture, poised to enact a safeguarding kata.
Time Breathing, Third Form, Night Requie—...
The demon's attack crashed against your sword with unprecedented force, breaking it. Your defenses shattered and your body was sliced in two. Your torso landed heavily against the Water Hashira, causing him to collapse to the ground with you. The blow that had sundered you had also pierced through him, cutting his chest down to the bone, mixing his blood with your own. Your faces were inches apart, and despite evident pain etched upon his features, he remained locked in his forced dreams.
"G... Giyuu...," your called out in vain, tears streaming down your cheeks.
Upper Moon Five approached Kyojuro next, slowly raising his naginata, savouring your desperation. You knew you wouldn't regenerate in time to prevent the fatal strike. Your consciousness was slipping away.
You needed to travel back in time... before the ceremony began. You struggled to gather your senses enough to use your Blood Demon Art despite your wavering vision and focus. You held onto a single thought, like a castaway clutching to a raft in a stormy sea.
You had to save them at all costs.
When you had used your powers near the Mugen Train, you had heard the echo of Kyojuro's voice whispering his declaration of love to you, the one he told you as you fell asleep together in your house in Komazawa. At that time, you had wondered if it was it your subconscious conveying reassuring memories to you on the brink of death.
Yet, another voice now murmured. It sounded like the Flame Hashira's, but it wasn't quite his.
...i...
... Oai...
Do not be saddened that our paths have parted here, for we shall be reunited in another life...

Taisho Secret: Meikaishi's name (夢界師) stands as "Master of the dream realm".
The Kuji-kiri ("The Nine Symbolic Cuts"), is a set of hand seals / mudras often associated with esoteric practices in Japanese mysticism, encompassing Shintoism, Buddhism, and certain martial arts. The seals names are: Rin, Pyo, To, Sha, Kai, Jin, Retsu, Zai, Zen. It was modified here since the Eternal Paradise Cult is a fictional, evil sect twisting several Asian/Japanese religions.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Koyoharu Gotouge Volumes 12-15: A Ridiculously Long Commentary (with spoilers)
-Me on volume 12, with literally 11 more books to go: Wait! I don’t want it to end yet!
-What in the ever-loving God is Gyokko’s face.
-Oh, Doma went from upper rank 6 to 2? Good for him! ... ... No wait... Why does he have to be so cute tho.
-Jesus, I nearly screamed, Kokushibo looks so much like Kamado Senior’s figure.
-Heeey, the bold-font blue spider lily strikes again!
-Eeee, Kokushibo’s face!!! I had a fright. Wait, that’s a flame tho? He has the Sun Hashira mark? (almost said the Sun Summoner mark, lmao). Wait, what’s happening
-Okay, Kokushibo was a Demon Slayer and knew a Kamado ancestor, right? But the Kamado ancestor looks like Tanjiro, yet Kamado Senior actually looks more like Kokushibo - wait, I’m confused. Am I overthinking this
-Unconscious for two months?! This boy gives me anxiety.
-Inosuke pinching Tanjiro’s cheek, help.
-Oof, good, I didn’t like seeing Tanjiro in that hospital bed.
-Nezuko having the time of her life in the hot spring, omg.
-Aww, Love Hashira and Nezuko hug, too cute.
-Yesss, the Mist Hashira, I really wanted to spend time with him. Tokito.
-Kanroji aside, Tanjiro has started on the wrong foot with every Hashira so far, it’s impressive.
-The mechanical doll... I have questions...
-Younger? Tokito is even younger than Tanjiro?
-Okay, so now Tanjiro can smell-predict the movements of his opponents. This reminds me of a Genshin commission in Inazuma of all places, with the author and editor discussing how acceptable is the emergence of random new abilities and I’m laughing. Okay. I mean, it makes sense. He smells stuff.
-Where are Zenitsu and Inosuke, I miss them.
-Wait, so. What’s the connection between Kokushibo, the Sun Hashira with the Kamado Ancestor, and the Mechanical Doll? Are any of them the same person?
-It’s not that I’m doubting Tokito’s strength, it’s just that we have two upper ranks around and I’m nervous.
-Sunflower Thrust? Since when did you develop Hinokami Kagura moves?
-Lol, Genya said “fuck swords.”
-Me, watching Tanjiro fight: Oookaaayyy... Back to the Butterfly Mansion infirmary you go.
-I... I don’t see how we’re gonna get out of this with Tanjiro and Nezuko vs three demons in one and Tokito in a whole different area of the village against another demon. Where’s Kanroji?
-Pls don’t kill Tokito, pls don’t kill Tokito, pls don’t k- DAMN IT! He got stabbed by the needles! I mean, this doesn’t have to be deadly, surely, surely - goddammit, there’s poison again, of course there is.
-Go, Love Hashira, go!
-Tanjiro’s penpals and Giyu who doesn’t write back, awww.
-WHAT IS THE CONNECTION between Samurai-sama and Tanjiro! Is there one?!
-Eeehh?!?! Genya?!?!
-Genya, slay the thing, we don’t care for who did what here, just do it!
-I’m sorry, I need a second, Nezuko is amazing.
-I like Kimetsu Academy Story, where everyone interacts and no one dies.
-Oh. Oh no. I wasn’t prepared for Wind Hashira tragic backstory, wait.
-WHAT! Sanemi didn’t even know he was killing their demon mother, oh my God.
-Low-key don’t want to read on because low-key I don’t want to see Tokito go the way of Rengoku (if he does).
-What??? What??? This is Haganezuka’s face?? What???
-Kotetsu! Kotetsu, help!
-Kotetsu :(
-Uhhh, hello, I love Mist Hashira???
-Oh man, this is gonna be so painful in the anime, with the voices and everything. It’s gonna be great, and by great I mean that Ufotable should provide free counseling.
-Oh, he has the flame scars, Tokito has the flame scars, help! By God, keep this boy alive or else!
-I love Tokito’s arc so much, protect him at all costs, please protect him, please.
-Honest to God, the Rengoku Incident has put the fear of Gotouge-sensei in me. A Hashira appears, and I’m like, PLEASE SPARE THEM PLEASE SPARE THEM PLEASE S-
-Tokito is out for blood with his insults, lmao.
-Oh, he has sun marks everywhere, not just his face!
-Yesss, Tokito, yes!! Now live.
-Yes, we know poison is coursing through him, do something!!
-Kotetsu our lord and savior.
-Heh. Rengoku saving lives post-mortem :’)
-Oh Tanjiro hi, u here too?
-Um, hello, have you seen Kanroji fight, she’s amazing??
-Awww, Nezuko, Tanjiro and Genya all rushing in to save Kanroji, stop, I’m crying.
-She also has a mark now? What is this?
-”Chomp.” CHOMP! What is Genya? Oh thanks. Is that exclusive to Genya, gaining strength from eating demons? Oh thank you, more answers, it’s like you can read my mind.
-I’m sorry, we’re moving on to another volume here, is Tokito alive?!
-Tokito! Stay alive, stay alive!
-I know Nezuko can’t die right now, but imagine if she did? I’d scream.
-Nezuko!! Good morning!!
-I’m so glad that when I’ll be watching this in the anime I’ll know the fate of everyone and won’t be screaming my heart out.
-Oh goody, now Muzan wants to EAT Nezuko (bold-font blue lily riddle: solved).
-Yesss, they’re all alive, it’s a Demon Slayer miracle!! :’)))
-I wonder, are these the only Hashira arcs, or are we going to see them again in the final battle and stuff? A la Avengers Assemble?
-I still can’t believe everyone made it out alive, I’m so happy.
-Aww, Kanroji and Tokito are recovered, I’m so happy.
-I’m assuming I’ve moved on to a new arc now.
-Zenitsuuuuu
-Hashira meetingggg
-Will what? What about those who manifest the mark? Will what?!
-Finally, Rengoku’s hilt.
-Eeee, Uzui, I missed youuuu (and yet again with a new look), eeeeee!
-Wait, this is too much, I love everyone in this bar and everyone is together, I’m overwhelmed and excited.
-Is this the Giyu spotlight I’ve been hoping for
-Sir. What do you mean you’re not the Water Hashira, sir.
-Sabito. Sabito Sabito Sabito, I love you, Gotouge-sensei, I love you. I cannot believe we’ve circled back to Sabito, I love everyone in this bar.
-And some day in the future we’ll remember that one time that Tanjiro and Giyu had an eating contest. What is Giyu teaching though, now that he’s training people? Concentration would suit him.
-Her? Yushiro is a he.
-Look at that Tokito smile.
-I’m having so much fun with all the Hashira and the training and the temporary peace that I almost don’t want to read on.
-God help me I love Serpent Hashira.
-Ooof, I hope we get a little more of Iguro’s story at some point.
-I’d missed Zenitsu.
-We’ve seen demons drawn with less malice than Sanemi.
-Not to be dramatic but we need an intervention, Sanemi is out of his mind.
-Eyyy, Inosuke, the boys are back together!

💮 UPPER MOONS REACTING TO A GN! READER WHO IS STRONGER THAN THEM + REFUSES TO SPAR
🌸 ANON:: hi i can’t write as well so i can’t do this but can u do the upper three reacting to reader being stronger than them and refuses to spar tyyy if u can 😘😘🍼
💌 A/N:: Sure thing! I'll add in the rest of the upper moons as well for a bonus! :] (Though, not adding Nakime, Hatengu and Gyokko since I seriously have no idea how to write them :[ I'm so sorry..) And I didn't catch you state a gender, so the reader will be gender neutral!
☆ warnings: possible spoilers, mentions of limbs being decapitated, blood, swearing for kaigaku's part
Kokushibo
It's been centuries since he's encountered such a strong being like you, but never did he expect for you to NOT draw your sword and fight.
Rather, you instead, had boldly invited him for tea at your place.
Are you mocking him? Seeing how pathetic and weak he is just because you over power his whole entire being?
Very confused as you just tried to engage in mundane conversation, and simple tasks. Reminds him of a certain someone from long ago.
Had asked if you wanted to become a demon and join the Upper Moons, but to his dismay, you declined immediately.
" Why won't you raise your sword and decapitate my head? Aren't you one of the Demon Slayers? And, you know your strength much proceeds mine. So.. why? " Kokushibo asked as you only continued to pour tea, sitting on the kotatsu with him.
" Simple. I have no intentions to kill nor do you harm. It's up to faith to see what happens now, and I would rather spend this moment together drinking tea. " Proceeding to hand the Upper Moon a cup, you gazed upon his eyes — six of them, all fixated on you.
That's another thing — his strange looks also did not cause you fear, in which the demon took note of quickly as your calm expression stayed the same.
Kokushibo was beyond perplexed as he took a sip of his tea. Needless to say, it's nice to have tranquillity for once in awhile.
" You are a strange yet an interesting being, though, I will not pester you any longer. "
" More tea? "
" ...Perhaps. "
Douma
Is absolutely thrilled to meet you! Like Kokushibo, it's been years since he had met a strong slayer like you!
In one of your hiking sessions, you managed to stumble upon a cult — which lead you to Douma.
But once you declined his invitation to spar and overall stay with him and his cult for just a little while longer, things got a little out of hand as he tried to land a surprise attack from behind.
You leapt out of the way to avoid the attack, twisting your body mid air & swiftly drew your blade out — decapitating his arms in the process.
Douma, on the other hand, was surprisingly struggling to regenerate. But nevertheless, this did not stop him from showering you with compliments as like nothing bad had happened entirely throughout your whole interaction.
" Amazing performance! Please, tell me your name! "
" Y/n. And you are? "
" Call me Douma! "
After he had regenerated his arms back, he'll drag you around and order his servants to fetch you some miscellaneous gifts.
He has never met such a strange slayer like you. Mostly, every member from the Corps would try and kill him immediately as he was an Upper Moon — a great threat to humanity. But here you are, helping some of his servants carry certain objects around his abode and agreeing to eat sweets with him.
Will also offer to make you into a demon, but again, only a ' no ' came out of your mouth.
" Can you stay for awhile longer? Pleaseeee?? You're so fun to be with, and I bet my whole head that Akaza would love to meet you! "
" Please do not bet your head. "
Akaza
He had underestimated you at first, especially since you did not have a battle spirit — which made him think you were weak and not capable on calling yourself one of the Demon Slayers.
But oh boy, does he retract his words.
A being without a battle spirit, can fight in great feats as he could not sense their presence. Not a single will to kill, nor anything had interlaced with their movements. It was like he was fighting a ghost.
If you have not gave him mercy, the Upper Moons will definitely need another place holder for the 3rd spot within the 12 Demon Moons.
Again, you did not want to spar nor inflict any harm — but you had to at least keep yourself intact. Only defending yourself from the fury of attacks he had unleashed.
This had only fuelled his anger even more, as you presented no will to inflict any sort of harm onto him.
" Fight me! Behead me! Unsheath your sword! Why aren't you doing anything?! "
" I have no reason to. "
Upon hearing that answer, Akaza had sworn he saw a fraction of his memories flash beyond his eyes. Making him halt in his attacks to look at your eyes.
" What is your name, strange swordsman? "
" Y/n. And you are? "
" Akaza "
The demon took note of your strength, and yet again, offered you to become a demon — only to decline once more.
You were really strange, and yet refreshing to Akaza. Unlike the other Hashira and Slayers he had passed by and killed during his time on being a demon — you were the only one who exceeds his strength yet refuses to use it against him.
" It's a waste of time. Plus, I believe that someone will come and behead you on their own. " You said, quietly munching on your ohagi as the two of you walked endlessly under the moonlight.
" Before they could even land a blow on me, I'd punch a hole through their stomach first! Let's see who dies the fastest. " Akaza exclaimed, as he raised his fist up into the air, making you chuckle from his actions. Needless to say, he had made a new, yet strange ally that night. He'd like you have your company from time to time on quiet nights like this, even just to waste on mundane day to day activities.
Daki
Not so thrilled to meet you.
Probably just sees you as another hindrance in her way.
Also like Akaza, she had underestimated you as well. Not only did you not draw your sword out, but you had only been swiftly dodging her sashes — not one laying even a scratch on you.
Immensely pissed off as she saw you unharmed, and still standing.
" What's your deal, ugly?! Too scared to use your stupid sword? " Daki's words were interlaced with annoyance and anger as you only kept running away. What's your deal anyways?!
Only then you actually started dashing towards the demon, she picked up an unusual aura around you. One that had her frozen in place as you went closer to send a kick to her stomach, making her face scrunch in pain as she flew away.
" Don't call random people such offending words if you don't know what's coming towards you. "
Your words had burried into her skin, you were terrifying. And the blow you did wasn't even made by a sword yet she felt weak and pathetic.
From what Daki knew, she thought it was going to be another time to call Gyutaro for saving — but you had only helped her up by pulling from her arm.
" ..Apologies, I didn't mean to— "
" DON'T TOUCH ME! Ugh, you're so annoying! "
In reality, she's just very ticked off to the fact that she had been solo-ed by a person who merely even brought out their true potential.
She'll never admit you were more powerful than herself, and will probably just flee after you try to engage in mundane conversation.
" Don't even try to get me to talk! I have no time for people like you! "
I guess there was no chance for you to invite her for mochi.
Gyutaro
Who in the world is beating up his sibling??
He had only come out as his sister was calling him like it was the end of the world. There's no way she's actually struggling to a singular target, right?
Well, if his eyes does not deceive him, he had found Daki struggling to get out of her own sashes that were tied up around her.
There, he spotted a figure in the distance — dusting their hands as their hair waved around with the wind, how their eyes were narrow, and gazed upon the two siblings.
" Hey hey.. you're the one messing up my little sister eh..? You think bullying will do you any good eh? Having good looks and a great life eh?! " Gyutaro wasted no time and threw his sickles, he had targeted straight for your head — but to his surprise, your blade had stopped the both of his weapons and only then to get swinged back to him with speed.
" Sorry. She was causing the children trouble, now will you excuse me, I don't want to initiate in a battle.. "
Were you joking him? Mocking, perhaps? Or maybe even being sarcastic? There's no way he's letting you go after screwing with his little sister — but it seems like you had other plans.
Instead of attacking, you had only kept dodging the attacks he'd been sending out. He knew it was futile to keep fighting, but no way in hell was he letting you off the hook. Or should I say, off the sickle. Help me
Gyutaro had eventually stopped as he saw no point on continuing this never ending battle, sickles back at hand, and you nowhere to be found.
His eyes eventually trailed towards his sister.
However, the sight he had seen had made his eyes dilate in surprise.
You were helping Daki out of the sashes you originally tied her up in, also apologizing in the process.
It was like you were her older sister, but of course, you weren't.
You were just some stranger who had the unfortunate chance on meeting the two them.
" Daki, was it? The name's Y/n, my sincerest apologies for causing you trouble.. you were giving the children a bad time yknow.. "
The female demon only pouted and punched the air as the other upper moon watched their interaction.
If only things were different.
Kaigaku
💌 A/N:: might be a bit self indulgent </3
Don't even get me started, this man already hates your guts as soon as he laid his turquoise eyes on you.
He despises weak people, and your overall aura reminded him of someone he loathes the greatest.
As Kaigaku removed his blade from its sheath, he had immediately took his fighting stance in and leapt towards you. Well he thought he leapt towards you.
His eyes trailed above, as you twisted your body midair — stepping on his back, sending his chin to the ground.
" The fuck is with your shitass moves?! You have a sword! USE IT FOR FUCKS SAKE! DON'T LOOK DOWN ON ME!!! "
Only silence greeted him as the figure before him was picking fresh peaches from the trees. He picked himself off of the ground and started at you intensely.
..What?
Did you just.. completely ignore the fact that you were in the presence of THE Upper Moon 6?
Well, it was only in this moment did he catch wind of your strength. But it didn't make him less angry that he used to be.
Kaigaku was beyond pissed at this point as you even offered him the pink coloured fruit in the palm of your hands, waving it around like it was some toy.
" I don't NEED your sympathy! Fight me like a true slayer and stop slacking off Zenitsu! " The name had accidentally fell out of his mouth.
" I don't believe that's my name? "
The Upper Moon slapped a hand onto his mouth as he mentioned the name, which only made Y/n curiouser every second that has passed.
Only the silence grew more intoxicating, but you decided to break it.
" Hey, peach boy, why'd you turn quiet? Did I say something offensive? "
" Don't call me that. "
Swinging down the tree you were on, and two peaches in hand — you made your way to the boy and handed him one.
Surprisingly, he actually took the fruit and took an aggressive bite whilst leaning on a tree with you. The action made a small chuckle leave your mouth as you bit your peach as well.
The two of you shared a comfortable silence as the both of you had snacked together, as the stars in the pitch black sky lit up the night.
" Kaigaku. "
" Hmm? "
" That's my name, idiot. "
" Oh! Well, I'm Y/n. Nice to meet you in this pleasant night, Kai. "
" For a person stronger than me, you sure are stupid. "
A dramatic gasp left your mouth. " So rude! "
You really need to stop with the nicknames...
As the night was still young, the both of you wasted your time conversing under a peach tree. The Upper Moon might take some time to get used to you and your nickname callings, but at least he knows he is in the presence of a stronger being.
And well.. maybe a presence of a friend if you're lucky enough.
💌 A/N:: HEYYY im sorry if this isn't the best :'( I really tried to write this but I was just too stupid to think something up and I kinda made the writing a bit off compared to my other headcanons and it kinda looks like my planned long scenarios.. well, I hope you guys enjoyed reading anyways! Likes and reblogs are always appreciated! <3

Demon With No Name
An analysis on Upper Moon Two: Douma
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba spoilers!!
Hello! ❤ I wanted to discuss the significance on Douma’s real name never being revealed to us in the KNY story.
I'd love it if you guys could share your thoughts on this with me please!
Before I start:
Disclaimer: I do not speak Japanese at all, I’m basing all quotes off of the first manga site i could find. Translations may vary depending on the source. Also I may not be aware of alternate meanings of words that may have been lost in translation for the most important quotes! So please forgive me if I misinterpret something!!
A lot of the demons in KNY’s story are either nameless, or go by an alias that isn’t their real name. Examples of the former include most minor demons, such as the Temple Demon, Swamp Demon, Older brother/sister, Mother, and Father Spider demons, etc. Examples of the latter are mostly are more relevant Upper moon demons-- Daki, Akaza, and Kokushibou, whose real names are Ume, Hakuji, and Michikatsu respectively. The other upper moons, Nakime, Gyokko, and Hantengu, however, don’t have their human names revealed, along with Douma. However, these 3, did not hold as much story significance as Douma.
Then in addition to that, there are some demons who go by their human names still, such as Rui and Kaigaku. I assume it is because they are young enough relative to other demons age that they haven’t forgotten it (or maybe they just like their human names lol).
(I don’t know if Gyutaro’s name is his actual name or a fake name and, if it is a fake name, I don’t remember if his real name is actually given, which is weird because his sister’s was. But that’s a topic for another day.)
However, Douma, who holds the rank of Upper Moon 2, is one of the most relevant demons in the story, yet his real name is never disclosed. Even in the Kimetsu Acadmeny chapter extras, is stated that his AU version’s real name is unknown.
So, why is that? Douma even said so himself that he has great memory. He remembered many details of his life but he failed to ever disclose to us his name. Was that one thing he did forget? Was it not important to him? Did he simply not have a real name before becoming a demon? (Maybe his parents thought he was above having a normal human name?) And most importantly, was this intentionally done by Kyoharu Gotouge?
Before I continue, first we should know the meaning behind Douma’s name. His name is officially 童磨. According to the Kimetsu no Yaiba wiki, 童 ( dō ) means “child,” and 磨 (ma) which can mean “polishe,” “grind,” or “improve.” (Someone also said it can mean magic but I don’t have the source im sorry :( ) Based on these, Douma’s name has a meaning somewhere along the lines of “magical child” or “polished child.” This is most likely to reference how his parents thought he had divine powers at his birth.
For most people, your name is one of the most significant aspect of one’s identity. It’s the first bit of information you to give to anybody upon introduction. However, Douma’s unknown name is a demonstration of his own lack of personal identity.
If we take a look back at Douma’s childhood, he’s been put on as the figurehead of the Eternal Paradise cult from the day he could even sit up. His entire life he was put on a pedestal for an identity he did not make for himself, but one manufactured and forced onto him by his parents. In chapter 142, Douma admits that he can’t speak to the Gods or have any spiritual connections that his parents believe he has. In fact, he doesn’t even believe in any of it. If that’s the case, why does he seem so fixated on the idea of bringing his troubled followers to “paradise” as his sole reason for being born?
Earlier I mentioned that one large aspect of identity is our name. However, another important aspect in defining our identity is the personal relationships we have around us. Who we value and surround ourselves will shape our own individual perceptions of ourselves. However, Douma, who has admitted to having limited capability in feeling emotions, is unable to form meaningful bonds with people around him. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is story where most, if not all, the main themes revolve around love, family, and friendship being the main motivators to drive characters in the pursuit of goals. However, here we have a character who serves as a direct antithesis to of all these themes. He has nobody he loves and nobody who loves him.
In chapter 157, Kanao calls out Douma in their fight, telling him she can see through the fake persona he puts on. She then proceeds to question him: “Why were you even born?” (damn....) Douma gave clearly visible cues that he was not pleased with what she had to say. The important observation to take from this scene is Douma’s reaction. The man who was just revealed to not feel any emotions, who is usually unbothered by harsh words thrown at him from demon slayers and other members of the upper moons alike, showed an emotional response to the cutting words of a child questioning his existence.
Based on this reaction, I think there is reason to believe Douma has an innate dissatisfaction with his own identity, or moreso his lack of identity. From his childhood, he’s been more than aware of how he cannot feel emotions the same as others. Even in his dying thoughts in chapter 163, he thinks back on how he was “always been this way.” He thinks about how human emotions to him were nothing more than “mere dreams.”
I think should we take a close look at the word choice used here. He could have simply said something along the lines of “I’ve never felt emotions;” however Gotouge specifically phrased it as a metaphor comparing it to dreams. This word choice conveys a sense of longing associated with the idea of being able to experience emotion. This suggests that there is a chance he did wish for a better understanding of emotions. After all, like Kanao said, what’s the point of living if one can’t truly indulge in all of life’s pleasures associated with the emotional bonds we build with one another?
However, what does all this of this have to do with Douma not having a name? Douma not having a name is symbolic of his entire character. He is a man with no true identity of his own. He was unable to maintain any close, meaningful, interpersonal relationships with anyone around him in the hundreds of years he lived. He lived every day with a false persona knowing deep down inside of him knowing he was different from everyone else around him, but not in the “spiritual way” that was expected of him. And in his own Nihilistic opinion, he felt his own life was pointless. But as a direct contradiction to those beliefs, he continues to lie to himself, telling himself the people need him to save them. It’s ironic--Douma, the man who mocked demon slayers’ efforts to do whatever they can to achieve their goals, is doing the most to do whatever he can to mask the emptiness he feels inside. His boastfulness of his cult, his over-acting of emotions, and his insistence of friendly and polite conversation even in the face of insults and attacks from opponents all demonstrate this. While he may not be able to process and understand emotions like most people, there is one thing that Douma appears to have in common with many people: wanting a sense of purpose and meaningfulness in life.
While Douma’s reason for becoming a demon is never explicitly disclosed in the manga, I think we have reason to suspect him of becoming a demon for the purpose of finding an identity to call his own. Muzan Kibutsuji is notorious for taking advantage of humans who are at their lowest points in their life. They have lost everything that mattered to them and have no one else to turn to. However, it was a different case with Douma--a man with no loved ones, no purpose, no real identity--already had nothing to lose to in the first place.
Despite all Douma thought he though he “dedicated [...] to people and made contributions to the world,” in the end, his choice to become a demon never brought him the sense of identity and purpose he sought out by the time of his death. Unlike even other demons, who had family members they could happily reunite with in death, he would simply be forgotten from the rest of the world. Sure, maybe the demon slayers will remember him as Douma, one of the strongest demons. However, there was not a single person who knew the real Douma, the real name behind the man who served as Upper Moon 2 under Muzan. He will just continue to remain nameless even in death. A cruel reminder of how any way Muzan’s involvement in any other demon’s life did nothing to improve any of their lives, if not worsen it.
I don’t think I worded this well but I hope it still makes sense to everyone 🥺

Kimetsu no Yaiba Role - Reverse AU : Pillar Version
I’m not planning on this being long as all hell but let’s see if it gets out of hand or not :)
Sun Pillar : Yoriichi Tsugikuni
I ALMOST WASN’T GONNA INCLUDE HIM BUT I HAD TO-
My entire account is named after his come on have more faith in me.
Okay but I feel like the twins would get a lot of outside attention
Not because they’re Demon Slayers but because they’re hot as fuck
But that could also just be me
Nobody knows how or when Yoriichi learned Sun Breathing. It hasn’t been used in hundreds of years, and it’s supposed to be incredibly difficult to master, and he’s like twenty-five being able to wield it with complete ease.
Michikatsu thinks his brother is the most annoying thing ever
They spar constantly
Yoriichi thinks that Nezuko and Tanjirou are the cutest things ever, and Nezuko knowing what Dance of the Fire God is, is really only a huge plus.
The twins fight over who gets Nezuko as a tsuguko constantly.
Moon Pillar : Michikatsu Tsugikuni
Everyone’s favourite motherfucker y'know-
Jk we love him
His Moon Breathing is not like his Blood Demon Art at all, really. His Blood Demon Art was a corrupt form of his Breath Style. In actuality, his Breath Style is much finer and more graceful.
If I’ll be honest, his breath style is actually quite beautiful.
Like Breath of the Sun, his Breath of the Moon almost looks like a dance.
Michikatsu and Yoriichi fighting together is a sight to behold, and a force to be reckoned with.
If only Michikatsu could stand to be in the same room as his brother for more than five seconds at a time.
When he goes on missions, he tries to keep it as low-key as possible. He hates having people looking at him
And he’s not the type of person to fail on his missions at all. Which is why it was so surprising for the others to figure out that he had let the Kamado children go.
Mostly because Tanjirou reminded him a lot of Yoriichi, so he couldn’t help himself from sparing them both.
Ice Pillar : Douma
Another favourite, surprisingly. A lot of people like Douma and it’s very confusing.
Other than Rui, he's one of the youngest Pillars (16).
Of course he still uses his fans rather than a Nichirin blade. And effectively, too.
Douma is one of the fastest Pillars out of them, aside from maybe Yoriichi and Michikatsu.
Obviously, Ice Breathing is descended from Water Breathing. Rather than flowing attacks, however, most of them have more strength added to them, in order to pack quite a punch.
He’s a bastard and we all know it.
Usually, Douma is given missions that are difficult even for a Pillar’s standards, but still out of the way of civilisation.
Because his breath technique is DESTRUCTIVE.
He’s basically the same as his demon counterpart, except he doesn’t eat humans.
But he’s still a damn sociopath
We all love him though
Soryu Pillar : Akaza
Haha I didn’t know what else to put for him-
His fighting style is strongly based around the Soryu Style he was taught before he became a Demon Slayer. He ends up using hand-to-hand combat a lot more than he uses his Nichirin blade.
Which means he rarely has to commission a new blade if his breaks, because he only uses it slay the demon near the very end of their fight. Nothing more.
He’s a very respectful opponent. Unlike other Demon Slayers, he won’t goad or insult his opponent. He doesn’t hate demons, like some Pillars do.
Because his fianceé was turned into a demon, and he would want to respect her if he ever ran into her during one of his missions.
Thus, all of his missions are ended quickly, and with great respect. Any demon that’s run into him and lived to tell the tale always holds him in such high regards (for a Demon Slayer, at least).
His main job is to keep Douma and Enmu in check, though.
Urami Pillar : Hantengu
Can you tell that I have no inspiration for some of these names
Urami means 'resentment' which makes sense for Hantengu since he hates demons for killing his family and deforming his face.
Despite visiting several doctors, the appearance of the pair of horns on his head remains a mystery.
Some Demon Slayers think he's got demon blood in him, but nothing has been confirmed.
He doesn't have a designated Breath style at all.
Rather, you could call his technique 'Universal Breathing'. If he's had enough training with a certain Breath style, he can use it. Which means he can basically learn all of them if he wants.
He's mastered two : Wind and Flame. He knows bits and pieces of others, but usually wimps out before he can continue training.
His sword gets broken a lot for no reason at all. His swordsmith hates his guts, but always pulls through with a new blade.
His crow is old and cranky, but they get along just fine.
Water Pillar : Gyokko
I mean that’s basically what he is-
He's fabulous
And he'll make sure everyone knows it right after they meet him.
(Nezuko lowkey hates him)
Most of the time, he's not given as many missions as his teammates. He's left to his own devices.
Which means that his territory to patrol - perhaps just around the capitol - is very well protected.
His tsuguko, Sabito, is cute as all hell, but will kick your ass if he needs to. He looks up to Gyokko, and thinks really highly of him.
Most of the other Pillars think there's something wrong with Sabito-
But he's a strong Demon Slayer, so they don't question Gyokko's teaching methods.
Blood Pillar : Gyuutarou
Irritable as all hell
But he loves his sister and would do anything for her.
Rather than use swords, he uses sickles
Yes yes very dramatic thank you Gyuutarou-
He gets cold easily (being so skinny and all), so he stays bundled up often
Daki gets mad at him if he’s not careful, so they often get into fights with one another
Which ends up with Akaza pulling them apart and putting them in time-out
Missions that he’s sent on are often ended quickly and precisely. He’s usually paired up with Rui or Daki, since both of those two Pillars are incredibly good at long-ranged combat, while Gyuutarou is more adept at short/mid-ranged combat
Blood Breathing is derived from Water Breathing, but Gyuutarou also equips the use of the poison that Daki makes in order to get the upper hand on his opponents.
He’s had a tsugukos before, but his training was so harsh that they quit on him. He hasn’t taken another one after that.
Silk Pillar : Daki
Designated medic in the Demon Slayer Corps.
She’s very skilled at not only making antidotes but making poisons out of wisteria. Other Pillars, like Enmu and Gyuutarou, use them in combat. She’s just making them to pass the time.
Rather than use a blade, she uses special sillks made specially from Crimson Iron Sand and Rui’s spider silk. They’re soft and heat-insulated, and Daki wears them over her Demon Slayer uniform.
However, much like Rui’s spider threads, she can manipulate them with ease, allowing them to become as sharp as a blade.
Honest to God nobody knows how she and Rui do it. Perhaps it’s brute, strength, or their Breathing techniques.
Either way, it’s quite a new experience to be on the receiving end of her silks. Daki is fast, and agile. She can get from one point to another in a matter of seconds. The only person faster from her at all is Douma, and even then it’s by seconds at a time, maybe not even that.
Daki doesn’t care to sympathise with demons. She’s never thought of it. Usually, her missions consist of her yelling insults at her target while she battles them.
Biwa Pillar : Nakime
Pretty girl pretty girl
With two eyes this time
She doesn’t often use a sword at all. She has one, but it’s only used for worst-case scenarios.
And when you are Nakime, you don’t get to the point where you can consider something a ‘worst-case scenario’.
Her Biwa is her main weapon, and she has the special ability to create music that harms demons.
The strings are crafted specially from spider silk (courtesy of Rui) and Scarlet Crimson Ore, but they’re also infused with Wisteria incense (courtesy of Enmu) in order to ward demons off.
She’s a master at her craft, and at her best, she is a force to he reckoned with.
She is often paired up with other Pillars on difficult missions, or if there’s more than one Demon in a certain area. Nakime’s music travels a lot farther than a sword does, after all. But a demon has to be within fifty feet of her to actually die from it.
She doesn’t exactly use a Breathing technique for her Biwa. But her base Breathing technique is Water Breathing, so she practices using her sword often so her skills stay sharp.
Dream Pillar : Enmu
I’ll start this off by saying that no, it’s not quite the same as his original Blood Demon Art. But it does use illusion in order to confuse his target.
Enmu is, to say the least, a sadist.
(Nobody likes him)
He toys with his prey and usually ends up taking a long time in order to complete a single mission because he loses track of time.
The Corps wouldn’t like that if they ever found out, but it’s not like they can just stop him.
However, his technique is extremely effective if they ever have the opportunity to gain information from a demon with a high rank.
Which is probably the only time the Corps would let him do as he pleases.
He doesn’t really have a reason for joining the Demon Slayer Corps. He had no family or loves ones to worry about, and he was good at killing demons. What more could he say?
(That’s probably even more depressing than his family dying or smth)
His Dream Breathing is descended from Flame Breathing, because honestly anything destructive is a plus to Enmu.
He uses a Nichirin blade, but he also uses poison on occasion. Not the type that Shinobu uses to kill them, since that’s not the kind of person he is. He uses hallucinogens to make his Breath style more effective.
Spider Pillar : Rui
A surprising amount of people like him, but I can’t say I don’t know why.
Rui’s one goal when he became a Demon Slayer was simple : protect his family.
None of them are actually blood related, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t fight tooth and nail in order to protect his siblings.
It’s not fake like it would be if he were a demon. Rui deeply cares for those that he sees as his family.
His Spider Breathing is descended from Wind Breathing, and is very unpredictable.
Rather than use a traditional Nichirin blade, Rui opted for a more experimental approach : threads.
To the touch, it’s fine and hard to miss. But when he uses it in battle, alongside his Breath Style, it’s hard as diamonds. And Rui controls is expertly, though there’s not really any way to just cut a demon’s head off.
He usually ends up slicing them into tiny bits and pieces, but that does the job as well.
Listen
CAN and WILL adopt any lone child that he sees
That's all for him lmao
Demon Slayer Corps Leader : Muzan Kibutsuji
He's So Done with everything and he doesn’t know what to do about it.
Bedridden or not, he’ll beat someone’s ass. On more than one occasion, he’s somehow chased after Daki and Gyuutarou for fighting.
But don’t worry, he’s a very good leader. He’s just temperamental at times, is all.
However, he is a strategic genius. He does everything for a reason. Nothing is done without purpose.
He does know how to wield a sword, but he can’t do it often. His body wouldn’t be able to sustain that kind of physical strain.
The Pillars are incredibly protective of him. They respect him deeply, even if he can be quite stingy and a little aggressive at times. It’s just how he is. He’s never angry just to be angry.
Despises demons. They’re the reason that his body is as weak as it is, so he can’t help but hate them for everything they’ve done.

Hello. I do not know if your request are open, but if they are could you please write courting headcanons for upper 1.2.3 like you did before? If yaou do not want it is okay (sorry. English is not my first language)
Requests are always open, I just might take a while in some. Don't worry, if anyone wants me to right anything as long as it follows the rules of the blog, I will. I did promise to do this if anyone wanted so to this I will add Gyokko and Nakime, so:
Traditional Courting [more or less], Demon Male Reader. (Also no sexual content).
First part here.
Warnings: Cannibalism, Human death, Mentioned suicide, Trauma(?) dumping, angst (why the fuck I can't write Akaza without angst?)
Kokushibou:
You first asked him for permission to court Kokushibou, he only told you to get out of his sight. You did.
A few months later Nakime summoned you into meeting him again in the Infinity Castle. You were told you would be, not only courting Kokushibou, but staying with him to search the family that leads the Demon Slayer Corps, Ubuyashiki.[Muzan got tired of Kokushibou not finding anything and started to relate it to him just not searching at all, so you are there to remind him and motivate him to do so.]
Kokushibou was not very happy with these news, offended that a man wanted to court him and give him the traditional women's role, but accepted gracefully the orders. At first, he only ever ignored you, but you slowly, very slowly, managed to spot what would awake his attention as you both searched through all Japan (it gave you more time the fact uou disn't know how to recognize the Ubuyashiki he send you after and Kokushibou seemed to get lost in his mind more often than not). But even after he was not the one to start a conversation, he prefered to spend time in quietness and quiescence. He barely eats, barely does anything other than meditate and practice his breathing forms. It's like he's more a slayer than a demon, but you don't mind.
Kokushibou just doesn't take anything you offer he doesn't like, and it takes you months to figure out his taste in gifts and food. Turns out he likes handicrafts, not buyed or stolen, but actually made from the one who gives the gift, not caring for quality of the product, but for the effort. You found out since he had a small and horribly done bamboo flute with a clean cut in his robes, when you tried to make another flute he also kept it. "It's.... I feel like you care. The fact that you did it yourself... It's personal." So you use rocks, paper, bamboo, clothing, wood and other things you find and steal to try and make jewelry, fans, karakuri boxes, origami and so. He always takes them, even the ones that are made poorly.
As for the food, again, he barely eats, but you only have ever seen him eat swordsmen, mostly samurais, but it's like everytime they are harder to find [the samurai class was abolished at 1868]. You decide to motivate him into trying new meals, he doesn't eat old men nor slayers, but you later find out he didn't even like the taste of the samurai "I don't know why, but it feels right for them to die by a demon." You did find a new favorite, buddhist monks, the closer to the Nirvana the better.
He doesn't like to be called anything other than his name, and he prefers the use of honorifics. He is also not kin in starting physical contact, but with time he starts accepting your approaches. Most of the time he just likes to sit down and listen you talk or having you hughing him in silence. There are times he starts conversation, he talks a lot in those, being more a monologue than anything else.
"I only want to become the best. Become more than... but it doesn't matter anymore. Right now you want to become part of my life, you wanted that so badly you went to Muzan-sama for it, and for some reason he decided to grant you what you wanted. I don't understand what he saw in you, but... your presence is now something important. Just make sure to always be behind me, reaching for me, and I will always be near to accept you." Honestly, he always speaks so cryptically you gave up in the meaning bahind of what he says, he never explains it. But you try your best to be understanding.
You spend hour days moving and searching, everytime you act more like a nomad married couple, but you never get a ceremony. Kokushibou would only like something 100% traditional and samurai cultured [just like his human marriage was], but with the timeline, you both being male, you both being demons, none of you having families, money or knowing your ancestors, it's just impossible.
"I don't mind if we stay like this forever, just you and I." He whispers against your embrace one day. This is still good, after all.
Douma:
When you asked Douma permission to court him, he was already taking you him for you to get the blessing. Douma was very interest in what you had to offer, but to be fair, he genuinely though he would kill you or you would cower down, but none of them happened. Once you asked for the blessing he only looked at you both with anger and disgust, and the second his eyes where focused on you only, you could sense a mix of indignation, confusion, pity, disappointment and indecision. At the end he only sighs and told you to get lost and that he is not dealing with it. "Oh, well. He didn't say no. I guess we are courting now, aren't we?" And that is how started.
Douma has a hard time not being the center of attention, so the traditional female role suits him just fine. He likes how often you go to his place and always invites you to stay over. He is very kin in petnames, but to your surprise he likes also more feminine ones, and doesn't mind being called "Princess" or other nicknames specifically adressed for women. "Being called princess feels nice, it's a very pretty way to call someone in a golden cage, stuck in a throne they were born to sit it. I would just adore it if you called me that."
Douma is always way too honest with you, sometimes dumping into you informations and expreriences that are actually traumatizing but he doesn't seem to care. He also likes when you validate his feeling, even the ones he doesn't actually feel. Other times he wants you to go against him, only for the sake that he can do anything he wants and nobody would stop him. You wonder if that is how he expresses freedom, since he already told you he has been all his life inside this cult as a if he was a living Buddha statue.
He is ok with any gift, every gift. No matter what you get him, he never shows preference. There was only two gifts that definetely managed to get through him. Those two you gave him in a desperate attempt for him to show any type of reaction for what you gave him instead of a "Oh, lovely. I will save them in the warehouse so nothing happens to them." It was a broken nichirin blade (now looking like a knife) and wisteria poison the same user of said blade had with them. Douma always carries them with him. "My mother killed my father with a knife, and then she poisoned herself. It was my first encounter with death, these gifts make me nostalgic. My heart never beat so fast before that and I remember wanting to leave but not being able to move. Is that what disgust feels like?" Should you regret giving him that?
It's well known Douma eats woman like a drunk drinks alcohol, so you thought his favorite meal is something that could only be found in a female human body, like the uterus, breast, ovaries, fetuses, unborn babies, placenta or something like that. To your surprise, he likes to eat the heart the most, still full of blood, hopefully, since it's an organ very mild-tasting, but tender. He likes any healthy heart, and getting those is rather easy. He also sometimes likes to eat human food, only for the sake of being able to eat anything he feels like and the sickness it brings. "You would be a good husband, taking care of me like now when I do something fun but stupid. You would stay with me forever after our marriage, wouldn't you?"
In the end, after a year of courting, he sends his followers to prepare the wedding under your guiding, he isn't really part of the process and makes no effort to be so. You end up as his consort inside his cult, the marriage is a peaceful one, but you still try every day to try and make Douma feel hapiness. Still trying. At least you had a great ceremony, expensive and big, with everyone of Douma's followers watching with joy. After the ceremony Douma picked a cult member that fitted the best in your taste and shared him with you. "Now, as a part of me, you should be able to give eternal life to this people, inside of you. Living forever just as they wished from the start, now witnesses of our beautiful love story."
(Also, Douma tried to invite Akaza to the wedding, it didn't work.)
Akaza:
You asked Akaza permission first, he stays paralyzed for straight ten minutes, lost hin his mind with a disturbed face. His first reaction, after he shakes his head, is to tell you you would need his blessing. At first he denies you, but before you manage to leave he tells you he changed his mind. That Akaza is very hardworking and deserves to be spoiled a bit, so you better make him feel good. [Muzan did want to give you to Akaza as a reward, but also as something that would motivate him to get even stronger and work even harder.] "I didn't expect him to... forget it. Just don't get in my way, we need to look for a damn blue spider lily or whatever."
It takes him a while to warm up to you, but even before that he gets protective and doesn't let you out of his sight. He doesn't even care for the fact you are a man, just that you are there and safe. He also seems to like when you call him a certain pet name "my Komainu", you call him because of how protective he is, sometimes you call him "Haku" as it's shorter. He seems both sad and happy at the same time when you do. He even has told you he likes it more than his own name, for some reason.
He is bad taking gifts, for some reason he always worries too much about the price or starts to fret if they were stolen. "Just sto doing that! It's not like I need anything, it's just some stuff. You are only causing trouble, running around and stealing like that will only make you lose your hands! And he will kill himself!" Sometimes he says things that don't make sense even to himself, but he worries a lot. Still, you know he likes pink and snowflake patterns. So you try to make your own gifts with those traits, he keeps everything close, tidi and clean.
Akaza is very vocal in not eating women, small children (he can eat teens), nor sick people. While he likes to kill weak and coward people, he is not fond on eating them. He likes to eat slayers and swordsmen, so it's a bit hard for you to get the meals he likes without dying at the process, but you manage. He is a very messy eater, he destroys more of the body than he eats, but spends a good time doing so. It's like he hates the food, likes the taste and, as any other demon, loves to eat. Still, he prefers relying on training than in eating.
"You are not a bad guy yourself, thank you for... taking care of me. Taking me in." You train with him amd try to adapt to his eating paterns, in result, you get stronger. No way near to an Upper Moon level, and definetely not as fast and efficient as eating woman would be, but you are very strong. Plus, you manage to catch a Marechi with the traits Akaza likes twice or thrice in the courting years, which helped. "You are every day stronger and helthier, make sure to take care of yourself. I will still protect you, but don't do anything stupid."
You spent five years courting him, Akaza was very hesitant on accepting to marry you. "It's not that I don't love you, Y/N. I would love to be your husband, that you vould be my husband but... but you will die! I don't know why or how but you will die amd it will be my fault! I won't be able to protect you!" He rambles, clearly distressed, the first time you ask him, you have to embrace him and cuddle him for around a week. It takes a lot of time, but you manage to reassure him everything will be ok.
You both prepare the wedding, slowly, very slowly, even with the limited resources. You make sure to listen what he wants. A ceremony on winter, under the snow, with fireworks at the end, at an specific town, a small event, and then to go home. He gets scared and needs a pause for every preparation you make and item you steal, but you don't mind waiting. You managed to fool a young buddhist to marry you both, it was a beautiful ceremony. Akaza cried during it, then spend the rest of the month cuddling and crying with you. "Please don't die, don't die. I beg you, stay with me. Don't die, don't fucking die on me. Please."
You keep taking care of him after you get married, and he stills hugs you everytime as if you would die the moment he lets you go. Sooner or later he will realize nothing will happen to you, but for now you must be ready to comfort him and calm him down.
(Also, the second Douma found out Akaza was married and he wasn't invited, he decided to make a second wedding by himself ans his followers, forced you into it so he could be in it.)
Nakime:
How did you even get here? Like, again? The second you asked permission to court her she threw you out of the Infinity Castle, only to bring you back with her and him in less than a day later. Guess what, you've got the permission, the blessing and even an order from him. How? Why? No idea. [Yes idea. Have you seen Nakime's blood art? Also the fact she dislikes men in general and Muzan, who may disguise as much as he wants but is still a HE, forces her to welcome them in her home? She is too important to lose, so your job is to make like you enough so if she wants to rebel he can have something on her that would not kill her.] But who are you to say no to him, even with Nakime glaring dagger towards you.
The first weeks everytime you try to speak to her she sends you somewhere else. You are lucky that because of his orders, she doesn't throw you at the sun or starve you. It takes you a year for her to stop toying around with you.
Even before that you were getting her gifts and food. You did the basics, get her biwa strings and other materials sl she can take care of the instrument. [She doesn't really need them since her biwa is part of her blood art, it maintain itself, but she liked the gesture and the attention]. She also likes kimono's, she kept most of what you got her, some of them were not of her liking, but besides that, the feeling of filling a wardrobe made feel wealthy, but you have seen her wearing them. She is not a person of jewelry, but she kept a few of the ones you got her, mostly the ones for her hair. Every once in a while you find with one of those with part of her hair pulled up.
Her diet are mostly men, drunk men to be more clear. It's a weird taste since the slcohol tends to ruin the blood, and it's even more weird that she actually likes the lungs and vocal cords, but you don't comment on it. You had to ask him for this information since you never once saw her eat before you.
"I appreciate the gifts." It was the first time she said to you two years after you asked permission to court her. She was never the one to hold long conversations, and you were not the exception, but she did like to play and sing for you. You always show interest in her music, and she likes the positive attention. She likes when you call her nicknames related to music. "Dear melody" "My artist" and "Beats" are names she react positively.
It took you three teats for her to finally accept you, but she was hesitant. "I do warn you, if you change your attitude and become a deadbeat husband I will confine you into an endless corridor of my domain for you to starve until you kill yourselve." You swear the besides singing you never heard her voice say so many things in less than hours of difference. She is serious.
Still, you let her handle the ceremony the way she liked it as you got the priest and another kimono for her. For your surprise, not only the halls were decorated, but he would assist as well with his favorite Uppermoons. Nakime was not as pleased with their presence, but she wanted him there on this special night.
It went well to both of you and you started to stay with her at her domain, you kept doing gestures for her and helped in everything you could. She is happy with that.
Gyokko:
You ask Gyokko permission first, he only allows it because, of course you are enamored by him! Who in their sane mind wouldn't? If you want to show appreciation, then who is he to deny you? He will let you court him, but warning. One mistake and you're out.
When you asked him for the blessing, he looked at you for seconds as if you said both the most stupid yet interesting question one could ask. After a few seconds he decided that it wasn't his business and told you to do as you pleased. Gyokko was a bit offended by this but there wasn't anything anyone could do.
As for gifts, Gyokko likes art in general, so you could get him pieces or material for his pots. He appreciates it very much, since you show attention to his interests. "Oh, Y/N! You've got such a good taste! I may consider you as a husband later on, such a beautiful pigments, and you say they are foreign! I don't care if you stole them or buyed them, but I would love if you got me~" And to your surprise, his favorite art collection is actually the Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji fron Hokusai. "Stamping is, in my humble opinion as an artist, crass. But still, the motive is beautiful and has a very nice display of perspective." You get him the 46 prints.
Gyokko is very picky with his food, he only ever eats people with soft and tender skin and flesh, healthy organs, a clean body and a a face that's at least easy on the eyes. "Appearances help the appetite!" he explained the last point. But to be honest all of these traits together are easier to fing in young women and children, and he prefers the last one. Gyokko hates children, with his soul. Another dead child instantly makes his day better, so he gets very happy if you get him some to eat.
He hates nicknames, but he likes to use them. He also starts making you pots and sharing his food for you before the year ends, enamored by your accommodating attitude towards him. He also loves when you touch and massage his body, specially his scales in his last form. He loves that he is able to relax with you. "Oh, darling. Who would have though a beauty like me could fall for someone like you... no offense."
The moment you ask for his hand he jumps at the chance to design his own wedding, not letting you choose anything but still expecting you to help. Still, in arts and decoration he got good taste, so uou trust his judgement. It was a big event he filled with his summounings, javing the sits full. He made his sadistic art of joining men in a pot with some priests, who were the ones who married you.
"I bet you are very happy to be married to me, dear husband. You've got very lucky. I hope you keep amusing me as always~" It's good, he is still the center of attention. But you are both ok like that, besides you also keep getting presents from him and starts teaching you how to make pots. Also got you a grand honeymoon in the Tokashiki Island with his pots, in the Aharen beach, so no complaining.
[Keep him away from the children, please.]
Bonus: Gifts for the child
Kaigaku is still new at being a demon, he likes to collect things that remind him to his human life. Don't misunderstand, he is proud of his new strength and the fact he survived the Upper Moon One after just becoming a slayer, but he didn't ask to become a demon, it was just that the options were dying or that. He likes specially peach seeds, nichirin blades and cheap haoris. As for meals, he likes to eat young people, hopefully weak and male.
