Someone needs to take me to an art museum before I lose my shit
#personal#someone in the tags of the one van gogh post literally thought he was from the middle ages#and it reminded me of this one time on etsy when i saw someone selling fake nails with van gogh's sunflowers on them#and do you want to know what they named the nails???#DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?????#they nMed them the Renaissance#😭#like why#why are people like this#another person in the van gogh post said he didnt eat paint but had eye problems#like seeing yellow#sweetie that is called LEAD POISONING#van gogh had so many yhings wrong with him#why are we always dimishing it#whyyyyyyyy#why why whyyyy#and yes he ate the paint he ate a lot of things#he literally put it in a letter to his brother#yes i am an art snob#and no i have zero intentions of changing#of course I'd be nicer & more understanding in person & use these things as a talking point to help ppl learn better#cuz like a lot of the problems didnt start with them they just learned it#okay but naming your van gogh nails the Renaissance is pretty unforgivable we can all agree on that one#van gogh
