When it comes to Colorism and texturism in tv and movies, it’s a very gendered issue.
I don’t know if any of y’all have noticed, but Black men will hardly, if ever, let a biracial who’s lightskinned, has below type 4 curls, and has Eurocentric features play them in any type of way. From what I’ve observed, when it comes to modern tv shows and movies their representation is leaning more towards the dark skinned side.
Meanwhile, black women and girls are actively played by biracials who are very light, very loose when it comes to hair texture, has some Eurocentric features. One of the few times we get darkskinned representation, it’s usually going to be in some very masculinizing, or an angry black woman, or a sidekick(There are exceptions like Lunella from Moongirl and Devil Dinosaur).
But what I’m trying to say is, how is it that the media remembers that darkskinned black men and boys can exist in roles that aren’t demeaning in some way, but suddenly it’s a hard task to portray darkskinned black woman and girls?
If they can give black men and boys good darkskinned representation, they can give black women and girls ours.

Hi Annabelle! I checked your profile and wasn’t sure if your requests were open or not. If they aren’t, please feel free to ignore this.
However, if they are, I was wondering if you could write something about Pezzy with a (preferably black) plus size female reader? I was thinking the guys (Droid, Grizzy, Puffer, and whoever else is in that group idk them all) do another sleepover stream, and they keep asking Pezzy to invite his girlfriend since nobody knows what she looks like. He gives in and has her come over, and everybody (stream audience included) is shocked because she’s so pretty. Like, they don’t understand how Pezzy got her because everyone thinks she’s out of his league. At some point she goes to the bathroom real quick and everyone is asking if it’s a joke or something but still can’t believe he’s serious about it. (I feel like Grizzy would be really happy because she’s black lol) She comes back from the bathroom and starts making dark jokes or has the same sense of humor as everybody else there, and the guys are like “oh yeah, she’s definitely dating the right guy” or something and they accept her, and have a really fun rest of the stream. When it ends, she lays down with Pezzy and reassures him that she loves him and doesn’t want anyone else.
Sorry this is so long, I thought I saw something that said the more detailed the better so I hope this is more than enough information lol. Love your work!
Hello!! They are open even though my adhd makes me procrastinate asks but I’m trying to push them out! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ask, i appreciate it so much. I really hope you like it, if I missed something let me know and I’ll rewrite it!

In all honesty, Pezzy thought you were gonna say no.
He’s asked you a million and one times to meet his closest friends, you always told him no. You wanted to make sure you and him were truly gonna work out before you both met each others people. He knew why you were nervous. You were unlike any of the women Pezzy ever dated, and although you never really felt many insecurities about your size, you knew how cruel the internet could be so you didn’t feel ready at the time to put yourself in their view.
But here you were, getting ready to join him on Puffer’s sleep stream. You figured he would ask you, the entire stream the boys were pestering him to invite you, which in turn roped chat into pestering him and Pezzy is indeed a weak man when it comes to you. Sue him for wanting to cuddle his baby as chat scares the shit out of them with scuffed audios.
By the time you were ready, you heard your front door open and close, knowing that your lovely boyfriend let himself in with his extra key. You laughed to yourself as he bursted into your room, adorned in a green onesie with a four leaf clover on the front. He instantly lit up when he saw you.
“You don’t have to do this if you’re not ready, baby. They can wait as long as you want them to wait.” He, yet again, assured you. You loved how assuring he was to you but you were honestly getting a little annoyed with his constant reassurance.
You smiled and cupped his face with your hands, pressing a soft kiss to his lips, his hands immediately finding their place in your plush hips. “It’s okay, Pez. I wanna do this, I think we’ve made them wait long enough.” You laughed, enjoying the feeling of his hands on your body. He let out a big sigh, placing a kiss on your nose this time, smiling fondly as your nose scrunched up. “I guess I just wanna keep you to myself just a little bit longer.”
You kissed his cheek, shaking your head at him fondly as you pointed at your computer monitors which displayed Puffer’s stream, “Come on, babe, they’re waiting on us.” You gave him no room to complain as you grabbed your phone and blanket. Pezzy grabbed your bag which held your skin care, silk bonnet and your stuffed Yoshi that Pezzy won you at a carnival. What’s a sleepover without a secondary cuddle buddy?
Pezzy and you held hands as you walked the short walk back to the house, talking about anything and everything. He could tell you got a little more nervous the closer you got to the house. Your free hand was fiddling with the ends of your hair, a new wig that you installed that morning. “Don’t worry, they’re gonna love you. I think you and Grizzy will get on better than anyone.” He chuckled, feeling a bit better when he saw the smile on your face. You were close to the same age as Grizzy and you were black so he figured you two would be the best of friends very quickly.
You knew how much the three boys meant to Pezzy. His absolute best friends so the last thing you wanted was to make a terrible impression. Pezzy wasn’t worried about it though. He knew you. He knew the way you acted and the wonderful humor you had, he knew you would be just fine.
He gave your hand yet another squeeze when he unlocked the front door, laughing softly at the small jump you gave when you both heard yet another scuffed buzz lightyear commercial. “Unfortunately, that will happen a lot.” He mumbled.
“Pezzy? That you?” You heard Puffer ask, another voice, Droids, adding in, “Imagine it’s not. We might get murdered, dog.” He said, the rest of them laughing at the thought. Pezzy shouted back to them, pulling you along with him as he stepped into the room.
Puffer was kind enough to mute the streams audio so they could properly meet you without Chat hearing as Pezzy introduced you all to eachother. You gave them a smile and a wave, not exactly knowing why you were so nervous when all three of them smiled at you so widely.
“It’s actually crazy that you’re real.” Grizzy joked, all of you laughing as Pezzy threw his hands up and rolled his eyes. “Are you sure you’re not kidnapped?” Droid asked making Pezzy throw a pillow at him. “I’m sorry! She’s just too pretty man, it’s wild you bagged her.” They joked.
Pezzy set up some of your things on his side of the couch, kissing your cheek as you told him you were going to the bathroom, walking off into the direction Its almost as if the mood shifted a bit, the boys instantly fixating on Pezzy.
“….What?” He asked them, which seemed to open the floodgates. The boys instantly began questioning him. They thought it was a prank or maybe Pezzy felt that with all their jokes on their videos and streams, he felt like he had something to prove to them so he faked a relationship with you to get them to shut up.
To be honest, Pezzy felt a tiny bit of sadness that they apparently thought that he couldn’t get with someone as beautiful and great as you. When they noticed he got a little bit sad, they felt bad. They didn’t mean to come off as rude or mean, they were just genuinely blindsided by you. But from the way Pezzy looked at you, like you hung the stars in his sky, they were quickly losing their doubts.
Meanwhile.
You were silently laughing your ass off. You did your business and as you were washing your hands you noticed a certain bottle sitting on the counter. The bathroom you were in was shared between droid and Pezzy, so the fact that you found a bottle of lube just out and about made you double over in muffled laughter.
You knew it belonged to you and Pezzy. Droid was a virgin and Pezzy adored the ground you walk on so you know he would never cheat on you. You smirked to yourself as you got a wonderful idea, grabbing the lube as you left the bathroom.
You stood in the entrance of the hallway, not wanting the stream to pick up on what you were about to do. “So, I’m fine with Pezzy having a side boy, but which of you side boys enjoy cherry flavor?” You asked, all of them turning towards you. Their faces held confusion until they realized what you were holding, instantly doubling over in laughter.
In between his laughter, Puffer nodded his head. “Yup, you’re definitely Pezzy’s girl.” He confirmed. The other two nodded their head, shaking their head as you threw the lube in Droids lap, laughing as he screams. Pezzy patted the spot next to him, smiling as you sat with them.
You were in between Pezzy and Droid, happily snuggling into the blanket you and your boyfriend were sharing. Puffer got up to fiddle with his stream settings, monitoring the chat. The boys promised Pezzy that if anyone was saying anything negative they would end the stream, without question. But from what they could see, the chat was full of compliments and simps towards you.
Pezzy handed you your Yoshi plush, smiling to himself as you and Grizzy chatted. You both were talking very animatedly about the newest horror game he recently played on his channel. You played it yourself so you knew about the game very well. He counted himself lucky, he had some great friends and a wonderful girl.
He zoned back in at the loud sound of you and Grizzy dabbing up, “My nigga!” Grizzy shouted, both you and his laughter contagious as the other boys laughed along. Puffer unmuted the stream, all of you screaming at the loud sound that chat sent in.
You felt good. These were people that you knew would be a constant in the life you were living with Pezzy, and you found no nerves about that.
The rest of the stream went on without a hitch. You blended very well with the chaotic energy the boys had, and chat loved your presence, everyone being extremely respectful. Of course you had the negative comments about your skin color and your weight but with reassurance from you they didn’t end the stream and the lovely mods took care of it for them.
Once the stream ended, everyone went to their respective rooms, you bunking up with Pezzy. You both exchanged little whispers and sweet words as you both got ready for bed. As you both laid down, his arms tugging you as close to him as you could be, you could tell he was still slightly bothered by the comments the boys made at the beginning of the night.
You pressed a kiss to his jaw, making him look down at you. “I hope you know, you’re all I’ll ever need. I love you, and no matter what anyone says to you, that won’t ever change my feelings. You’re it for me.” He smiled down at you, pulling you closer as he kissed you, his hand, holding your leg over his lap. He appreciated your words, sighing contently as the doubts finally left him. He watched you fall asleep, his hand rubbing up and down your thigh. He was grateful you got along with his friends and he honestly couldn’t wait to see his favorite people all together again.
With that thought, he fell asleep with you, the feeling of your gentle heart beat soothing him into a wondrous dream.

bad attitude
Characters: boxer!Juyeon & You
Setting : your typical YA “bad boy” romance, inspired by his GenZ vid (and I kind of wanted to drop hints of the Ares & Aphrodite dynamic but I’m not sure I succeeded)
Summary: He looked like trouble walking on long legs. The kind of guy your parents would want you to stay away. And yet, not even the blood on his knuckles or his cold words biting like bullets can scare you away. Because Juyeon isn’t as bad as he thinks he is.
Warning: mentions of violence, implied sexual content and some guys not getting the hint to f*ck off
Words: 7k

You winced.
You weren't even the one being hit and yet, the thud of punches soared through your whole body.
You'd never liked violence, not even fighting sports like this, and gosh, you regretted letting your best friend drag you with herself. Just because she had a crush on a boxer or MMA fighter or whatever, it didn't mean you had to support all her choices and out-of-character behaviour like paying a visit to a match. But she was determined and you were a good friend, so of course, you accompanied her. You wouldn't have let her go alone to this suspicious place called Dungeon probably filled with sweaty, muscly and aggressive guys. Although in reality, it was different from what you had imagined. A lot more professional and civilized for sure. But it didn't mean you liked it. At all.
"Minjung-aaaah, how long do we have to stay here? Your guy has already beat someone," you whined because even though it felt as if you were out on a basketball match, still the witnessed violence, the blood splattered on the ground of the ring because of the gloveless fight and aggressive yelling from time to time made you feel uncomfortable in your skin.
"Until the end, silly, there's an after party we are invited to but come on, there's only one match left and I heard it's the most anticipated one," she tugged on your arm even acting cutely to convince you to stay a little more and even though you groaned, you stayed put. Oh the things you did for her, you thought but it was lovely to see her smile so bright.
"And now, the highlight of tonight... Let's applaud the current champion Leeeeee Juyeon and the challenger Kiiiiim Hongseok!" the announcer yelled into his mic and the audience roared. However, you paid more attention to the approaching, freshly-out-of-the-shower guy and kept nudging Minjung in the side, so she would notice him, too. She only did though when he arrived right next to you.
"Oh hey Sunwoo," she smiled at the redhead unconsciously playing with the banner in her hand that she had brought in support of the boy. You found her shy actions cute.
"Hey girls, I'm glad you could make it," the fighter flashed a boyish smile at Minjung. Your friend had already spent nights telling you all about how much she liked the way his eyes sparkled or the way his lips tilted when he smiled, so even though you had never met the guy before, his appearance didn't shock you at all and in all honesty you thought they would have looked nice together. Also even though they were eyeing each other very obviously they engaged you in their small talk as well, so you didn't feel like a miserable third-wheel.
"Juyeon is my friend and he is like really good," Sunwoo added when the match was about to start and he pointed at the guy wearing a white tank top and royal blue bandages around his knuckles. His ink black locks fell into his feline eyes and he really did look like a predator the way he circled around his competitor.
It was pretty high tension, everybody held their breath waiting for the first attack but it came so suddenly that you almost missed it. It was like a viper's strike: quick and deadly. The other guy stattered back, blood dripping from his mouth already. But then it got faster and more aggressive but you could tell it was the bloody faced one who started to lose his patience. There were hits and punches and you really didn't understand the pointing system no matter how Sunwoo kept narrating and explaining, but one thing you knew was that the match had come to an end of the match when the coal haired guy knocked out the other. Loud cheering erupted in the warehouse and the winner was awarded before the crowd started to dissolve. It was only then when you noticed how fast your heart hammered due to the adrenalin. You still didn't like it though.
"Imma get the guys but meet you there, girls," Sunwoo grinned at the two of you, and you have never seen Minjung so enamoured. She gushed all about him on your way to the nearby club and even when you got seated in a booth once you got yourself cocktails. She was in the middle of a self pep talk convincing herself to ask the guy out before the night ended when the guys showed up. Sunwoo, his roommate Chanhee whom you have also heard of, someone named Hyunjoon and Juyeon from the ring.
At first, you didn't recognize him. This time he wore blue jeans instead of sweattracks, a black shirt and a leather jacket over his lean biceps. One of his cheeks was puffy under his eyes and he had split lips but other than that, he looked unaffected by the fight before. That deadly glare was missing from his dark eyes as well. He merely looked a bit cold and uninterested. Even when Sunwoo took it upon himself to introduce everyone. He barely glanced in your direction, not even when your best friend found it necessary to tell everyone that you were modelling for a living beside university.
“My father told me to put my pretty face to some use,” you shrugged and you were glad when the guys moved on from the topic after a good laugh. Even though you had grown to love your job, as a model you faced quite a lot of prejudice about being nothing but a shallow beauty, so you didn't really like to talk about it.
Throughout the evening Juyeon was quiet too but you couldn't help glancing his way a few times. He let others do the talking but the way he made sure to pour less alcohol into Hyunjoon's glass who was tipsy after a can of beer made you smile to yourself behind your cocktail.
At one point Minjung and Sunwoo left to dance and Hyunjoon managed to drag Chanhee along too, so you were left alone with 'the toughest guy of all' as Sunwoo jokingly called Juyeon earlier. He didn't look that scary now though.
"Does it hurt?" you pointed at his face which seemed to surprise him, not expecting you to speak up or at least not by bringing something like that up.
"I've gotten used to it," he muttered while looking straight into your eyes, a pair of coal irises boring your yours and he just shrugged.
"So it does," you hummed not really knowing what to do with his nonchalant behaviour. You weren't used to this. Some guys became bashful once they met you, some fanned over your beauty that always made your mother happy or even if they were more collected than that, you could always tell from their eyes that they were awed by your appearance at least a bit. But Juyeon? He didn't seem to care at all.
It was a relief, to be honest to not be put under the spotlight merely due to your pretty features. Sure, you earned good money thanks to your luck for having been born this way, so you shouldn't have complained but with being pretty came the expectations and everyone treated you like a doll and truth to tell, you wanted them to not only look but see you for real as well. Maybe that was why you were certain that the fighter had more to him as well but he wasn't an easy one to crack.
You asked how he knew Sunwoo (they went to the same gym), whether he felt pressured to keep his first place (he didn't care much about ranks, he just hated to lose) or whether he had always wanted to become some sort of athlete (that was merely what he was good at) and he kept giving curt answers. Yet, he didn't seem bothered by your questions, he jugged down his beer slowly in the meantime.
“I'm getting another round,” you proclaimed, getting up with a rum-flavoured smile on your rosy lips and you walked up to the counter to order another cocktail for you and beer for Juyeon. On the dance floor, you caught the vague image of Minjung and her boy, so you smiled and someone just had to be there to misunderstand…
“Like what you see, pretty? Want to join me for a drink?” Some guy at the counter directed his slurred question at you. You politely rejected his offer, telling him that you had company waiting for you but the guy didn't seem to understand your intent. Quite the opposite. “Oh come on! Are you trying to play hard to get? Don't be like this. Let oppa pour you a drink,” he cooed and unexpectedly grabbed you on the waist pulling you closer.
“Let go of me!” you whisper-yelled at the guy since you didn't want to earn pitying glances or draw too much attention. But it seemed like he didn't understand from simple, nice words.
So you were just about to threaten him by telling him he could get kicked out of the place for such harassment when someone grabbed the guy's wrist, prying it off you. You looked up surprised to see those wicked dark eyes back while rubbing your side where that douchebag had held you.
"She told you to leave her alone. Do you have problems with your hearing?" Juyeon asked through gritted teeth and his whole aura radiated power. You were surprised that the drunken guy dared to go against him but maybe it was due to liquid courage.
"What? Are you her boyfriend or what? Fuck off, dude."
"It doesn't matter who I am, I can break your wrist nevertheless," Juyeon warned the guy but when he didn't listen, he indeed twisted his arm behind his back until he yelled for mercy.
"That's enough. Let's go," you put a hand over Juyeon's shoulder, feeling the tense muscles underneath, trying to reason that he shouldn't get into trouble. He shot you a glance, a displeased one but didn't object. He let go of the guy, who stumbled backwards.
Drinks long forgotten you let Juyeon lead you away from the crowd, a little further to the corridors and you felt strangely safe with the guy's big hand resting barely over the small of your back.
"Thank you," you whispered when you were away enough for it to be heard over the music. The guy didn't seem to expect such gratitude but he acknowledged it with a firm nod, hair falling ahead into his pitch dark eyes.
"Do you want to go home?" he asked hoarsely and you gave it a thought. You didn't want to leave Minjung alone but she seemed to have good company and while you could have pretended being alright, not shaken up at all but one scene like this brought back many memories of other accidents and you just lost your party mood.
"Uhm yeah," you murmured and let Minjung know about your decision. Sunwoo also promised that he would make sure she got home safe and sound, then you got ready to leave. When you told Juyeon that you didn't mean to ruin his night and he shouldn't worry about you, he just shrugged.
“I needed an excuse to leave anyway. Let me walk you home.”
“You don't have to. I'm not a damsel in distress,” you protested immediately because even though you appreciated his concern, you also hated nothing more than being treated as weak. Even your steps halted once the fresh night air hit you in the face outside of the club.
“And I'm not a caveman,” Juyeon retorted and gosh, if it was his way of saying that he could act like a gentleman, it was pretty funny coming from him.
“Tells someone who beats people up for a living. Pretty Neandertal if you ask me,” you raised a brow challengingly but playful and it took a moment or two, him staring at you in disbelief, blinking before his lips trembled and his surprised chuckle morphed into a smile. The first genuine smile you had seen on him and wow, it was beautiful. The way his lips curled upwards and his eyes got narrow. Unlike his overall cold behaviour, it felt warm, it made your chest feel bubbly and hot.
“Fair point,” he noted but you didn't say a word when he walked next to you on your way to the bus stop.
"Does it happen a lot?" he asked quietly at one point almost as if he wasn't sure he had the right to ask but you understood his reason. You weren't even fazed by that douche, that must have been suspicious.
"I have gotten used to it."
"So it does," Juyeon mimicked (mocked?) your earlier words about his pained cheek.
“I work in an industry where things like this happen often. Don't worry. I'm a big girl, I can take care of guys who think with their dicks,” you claimed and the guy pressed his mouth into a firm line. He seemed a bit impressed by your attitude.
The rest of the walk and the bus ride was quiet. You didn't mind though, it wasn't the uncomfortable or awkward kind. It was an understanding one. Pretty nice.
“So that's me,” you said, pointing at the apartment block in which you shared your flat with Minjung. Juyeon looked around, alert eyes taking in the surroundings before acknowledging your answer with a nod. He really wasn't talkative and standing there, in front of the gates in all black, he reminded you of stray cats, careful and reckless all the same.
“I will see you around, I guess. Don't forget to put ice on that,” you pointed at his puffy cheek and he grinned at that. Hands deep in his pockets, leather jacket loose on his shoulder, he turned around once you set your foot inside the building.
But he didn't leave your thoughts that night.
Next day, you would have expected Minjung to be sleepy and whiny like she usually was in the mornings but she was already up by the time you went out to the kitchen. It should have been suspicious but you only realized the reason behind her giddiness a bit later.
“Soooo you and Juyeon...” she singsonged while putting coffee in front of you and you couldn't hide an amused smile in disbelief. Of course, she had to bring that up.
“There's no me and Juyeon.”
“Little birds told me you talked all night and he even walked you home,” your best friend continued making it sound like a cheap American movie because of her intonations.
“Well, I hope your birdies told you that nothing happened,” you snickered playfully because honestly, you didn't want her to get the wrong idea. It was unlikely that anything would come out of it and you weren't sure you wanted that anyway. Sure, Juyeon had this aura that attracted people and you had felt your blood rush when you had locked eyes. Not to mention that yesterday was probably just him being nice without any hidden intent. Actually you would have hated it a bit if he had expected anything in exchange for his unasked courtesy. So in your books, him walking you home and then leaving just like that was actually a good point.
It was Minjung who seemed disappointed.
“A shame. He's hot,” she pouted at which you raised a brow. She laughed it off. “What? Just because I like Sunwoo, I can admit that his friend is hot.”
“You know I don't care about looks and I'm not having casual sex with a friend of your future boyfriend,” you said firmly, tone playful by the end, wanting to get back on her because of her teasing. But it seemed like she took your words seriously as she corrected you almost nonchalantly.
“Present tense.”
“What?” you blinked, hopeful.
“I mean I guess it's official. We are having a date on Sunday,” Minjung admitted with a bright smile, practically beaming and now you could understand where her sudden awakeness came from.
“Yah, and you waited this long to tell me!” You hit her on the back, demanding details while both of you minched on slightly overburnt toasts.
With Minjung and Sunwoo dating, their circles of friends hung out regularly and that meant that you met Juyeon quite often. The more you got to know him, the more you realized he was the actions over words type of guy and he never did anything halfassly. He was very competitive, you jokingly called him Neanderthal for that too but he didn't seem to mind. He merely got back at you, calling you princess whenever you complained about something and you wouldn't have admitted it out loud but even that kind of nickname sounded pleasing as it rolled off his tongue.
But the truth was, you were really different, it was obvious from the very beginning. You didn't need a very tipsy Hyunjoon to tell you that Juyeon used to be wary of you, thinking you were a brainless chick because 'who else would go for modelling'. It stinged despite knowing that he had changed his mind since.
“He has been a changed man since you talked,” Hyunjoon giggled, obviously exaggerating but you just nodded along, telling him it was time to go home.
To be honest, you weren't different either. Before meeting Sunwoo and his friends, you didn't have a too good of an opinion on those who earned money from fighting. You thought that those who did must have been aggressive muscle-heads outside of the ring as well.
But your differences weren't just about the stereotypes. From what you had gathered, Juyeon prefered action movies while you liked comedies. He always wore dark clothes while you had barely anything but light and pastel colours. He drank bitter beer while you opted for sweet cocktails. He was a night owl, you were a morning bird. His go-to coffee was black, yours was latte with whipped cream. He prefered silence, you on the other hand liked talks about nothing and everything. And even though you didn't know him too well, you used these differences to convince yourself that it wouldn't work out anyway so why bother trying. At least, according to Minjung you used these as excuses for not making a move.
It was nothing but a crush, it would go away, you told yourself but oh, you were just a butterfly drawn to the flame recklessly close.
After one of his matches, Juyeon was taking longer than usual, and the guys were pumped up over Sunwoo's glorious win, so they weren't too patient. You sent them off, promising to go after them with Juyeon because you didn't mind staying behind even if it meant missing out on the first few rounds of alcohol. But since Juyeon gave no sign of himself, you made your way backstage with the pass you got from Hyunjoon to check on him. Knocking on the changing room door, you could hear him grumbling something, probably thinking his visitor was one of the guys.
“It's me,” you mumbled as you opened the door but the sight that welcomed you made you freeze on the spot. The floor was scattered with green glass pieces, remnants of a soju bottle and there was blood too, carmine dots colouring the white tiles.
“What the he- What happened?” you looked around, shocked after you closed the door behind you. The place looked like there was a scrummage over there.
“Someone's a sore loser,” Juyeon muttered, anger dripping from his words while he held his hand under running water over the sink in the corner. The way he gritted his teeth you could easily tell that he was in pain. His blood coming from his lower arm and back of the hand painted the water pink, so you could understand why. You decided to pay more attention to that, rather than the asshole who attacked him off-ring.
“Do you have a first aid kit? I'll help,” you offered because bandaging his hurt hand with the other wouldn't have been easy, not even for someone who seemed experienced in taking care of his own injuries.
Juyeon looked suspicious though, at least at first, not getting how you would know anything about treating wounds.
“I have a licence, duh,” you rolled your eyes. You had been trained for emergency situations on the road, so a few cuts should have been okay. So when Juyeon sighed, you took it as a sign of agreement, so you gestured him to sit on the bench and after you got the first aid kit ready, you sat next to him.
As you took his hand in yours, you felt his rough knuckles and fingertips against your soft skin and neither that, nor his breathing against your ear didn't help you to focus. But somehow you still managed to do it, smoothing bandages over the wounds gently after you cleaned them and covered them with antiseptic. Luckily they weren't too deep but since it wasn't a simple papercut you were sure they would heal slower and wouldn't go away without a trace.
“Done,” you announced with a smile on your face and pride in your voice, soothing a thumb over Juyeon’s wrist mindlessly as if you were trying to ease his tensed nerves. “It's going to leave an ugly scar though.”
“I'm not pretty anyway, so it doesn't matter,” the boxer muttered, probably used to having scars all over and you had this urge to tell him that even with purple and green bruises blooming all over him like flowers you would have found him beautiful.
Only when you looked up, searching for his night-like eyes on you,  you noticed how close you really were. Sitting side-by-side, knees barely but touching, you could see his facial expressions better than ever before and it would have been so easy to lean in and just… You weren't sure what but a moment was enough for you to feel overwhelmed under his intense stare.
It really wasn't that he was hot with his wide shoulders, strong arms, hands so big or with those feline eyes holding black holes and lips thin but attractive. What drew you in was the burning passion in his eyes, the way he looked when he was focused and that he seemingly didn't give a fuck about what others thought of him.
And now he was looking at your with unadulterated want and curiosity in his wild eyes and it shook you to the core.
“Isn't this the part you should tell me that I should see the other guy?” you whispered, playfully, not being able to get out what you really wanted to say about him being pretty no matter what he thought.
“You wouldn't like what you saw,” Juyeon said dryly with a twitch in the corner of his mouth. So the other guy did look worse, you concluded, and his answer reminded you how well he knew you already. And it was the answer to all your questions. So you just nodded, not asking more, not wanting to know what he had done. You gulped and turned your head away, ready to leave. Only if your legs didn't feel so heavy.
“The others must be getting worried, we shou-”
“I bet they aren't,” Juyeon interrupted you but let you pull your hand away, to fumble with the first aid kit, putting it away. “They know you are with me.”
He was right, of course they knew. They also knew that you were safe with him. So what were you afraid of? Not rejection, for sure. You knew both of you felt this kind of tingling tension between you. Then what? You weren't sure but you didn't want to be a coward anymore.
“Walk me home?” you asked, quiet and casual, no pressure but Juyeon just hummed as if it was natural. It was kind of déjavu except not really because when you reached your apartment complex, you didn't bid goodbye reminding him to change the bandage in the morning.
“Want to come upstairs? I have beer to make up for the loss of alcohol from tonight's missed party,” you offered instead and the suggestion was heavy in the air. Juyeon knew just as well that Minjung was out with the others and wouldn't make it back soon.
“Sure,” he muttered and followed you to the elevator. The tension was almost tangible by the time the flat's door closed shut behind you.
“So, this is us. Make yourself at home, I’ll bring the be-” you chattered after kicking off your high heels but on your way to the kitchen you were stopped by calloused fingers on your wrist. His touch was sudden but not rough at all and you felt electricity run through your veins because of this simple action.
“Where is this going? What do you really want, princess?” Juyeon asked, quietly, but each of his words echoed loudly in your head. And there it was, that nickname again, except this time it wasn't playful.
You turned back to him, locking eyes, finding that dark pair on you immediately. You could have told him many things, that you just wished to talk, that maybe you could watch a movie, but then in that very moment there was just one thing you really wanted.
“You,” you blurted out, not caring about the consequences, heart beating so loud you were afraid he would hear. But maybe he knew anyway with the way he kept holding on your arm, long fingers padding over your vein. At your answer, there was a flash of… something - maybe the crumble of his resolution or a spark of desire - in his eyes before he yanked you closer to him and crashed his mouth to yours.
His lips were a bit chapped and they moved feverishly against yours. He wasn't too gentle, didn't treat you like you were made of porcelain but you didn't even need or want that. It was just perfect. You ran your tongue along the wound on his lower lip and felt a rush of power and adrenaline at the way he grunted. Maybe you started to understand why he liked those things so much.
And you fell into that hole you swore you wouldn't: that night you mapped out his body, a history of past scars, lips following the marks while Juyeon left his own trace on you murmuring sweet names into your skin and kissed you like he could never get enough of you.
But of course, he could and you made it even easier as you pretended to be asleep when he walked out.
Next morning, your best friend came out of her room while you were in the middle of oversweetening your coffee to the point you would get sick of it. She seemed awfully cheerful but you just couldn't pretend that you felt the same after those haunting thoughts that didn't let you sleep almost all night. You could still smell the antiseptic mixed with sandalwood scent on your sheets.
“So you and Juyeon didn't join us yesterday,” Minjung singsonged but her knowing smile fell as soon as she saw your expression. “Oh sweetie, what happened?”
“Nothing new. I was just stupid,” you sighed but it didn't take long for the lavina inside you to burst out. “It's not like either of us promised anything. And the sex was so good, it's just… he left without saying anything or leaving a note. Gosh, I should have known better.”
You had been emotionally involved from the very beginning and you weren't sure you could look him in the eye at the next friends gathering, so you were thinking of bailing out but in the end, with the encouragement of Minjung, you decided you weren't just some chick who would cry because of boys. So you went out accepting the drinks Chanhee generously brought all of you. You tried to avoid eye contact with Juyeon though, dancing with strangers but when you did catch his eyes on you, it made your insides boil.
“It's not polite to stare,” you told him when you got back to your table and he raised a brow at that, the smallest of smiles hiding in the corner of his mouth.
“What did you expect from a Neanderthal?”
At his joke, a chuckle threatened to leave your throat, lungs suddenly feeling light. You could do this, you thought, relaxed. So you talked: you asked about his wound, his next match, told him about your upcoming photoshoot and that one class in college that stressed you out. It was nice, so nice you felt your head spinning in his closeness and by the end of the night you found yourself pinned to the wall of a hidden corridor, lips bitten red by his eager kisses.
The thing was that it didn't happen only once. It seemed like you two were addicted to each other, hooked on the other's taste. You knew you should have stopped before getting hurt, before getting your heart broken, yet you couldn't because having him one way was still better than not having him at all.
Minjung got worried over time, asking whether you knew what you were doing and you were pretty sure Sunwoo knew about the situation, too. Otherwise his 'keeping you company while Minjung gets dressed' topic would have been utterly out of blue at the kitchen counter in your apartment.
“Juyeon… he isn't as confident as he seems. And he is pretty bad at talking about feelings stuff,” he blurted out while you were trying not to cry while cutting onions. The knife stopped in your hand, the prickling behind your eyes didn't.
“Uhm, sure.”
“Just in case you were wondering,” he shrugged and luckily dropped the topic soon, so you could go back to cooking. However, Sunwoo's wordless advice stuck with you, nudging you, knowing that you had to be the one who brings emotions. You thought that with time you would be more ready to do that but it was far from true.
It was the first time you went to the Dungeon alone. Minjung came down with something, so she was pretty much bedridden and no matter how much you insisted on staying home with her, making soup or something, she convinced you to cheer the boys on at their matches. So you were there, in the audience, alone, feeling a bit awkward and the same adrenaline mixed with awe and fear while you were watching Juyeon fight a guy taller and broader than him. He might have been the champion and you knew he was good but still, you got worried from time to time. Your heart still beat overtime when his hand was raised above his head.
You clapped proudly but this time you weren't planning on joining the afterparty, you only wanted to say hi to the guys and then leave to get some extra medicine for your best friend. However, before you could have left the warehouse, someone whom you would have never thought to see there came to your vision halfway to the exit.
“Wow, fancy seeing you here! I didn't know you like this kind of stuff,” the lanky figured guy grinned down at you and you gulped, trying to be polite about it. He was a photographer you once worked with and he was creepy as hell back then too, touching inappropriately and texting you until you blocked him not getting the sign to just stop.
“I came with friends,” you told him a half-lie and tried to pass him by with an apologizing smile but before you could have moved away from him, he grabbed your wrist, mouth pulled into a supposedly-charming smirk.
“What about getting a drink?”
“Let me go,” you attempted to pull your hand away but his grip only got firmer. Rough enough to make you wince.
“Come on, don't be like this. Or do you think you are too good for me just because you are pretty?” he spat and that was when you tossed him in the chest with your free hand even though you believed violence was never the answer. Using his loosened grip to your advantage and yanking your arm away, rubbing the bruise, you turned on your heels and started walking out in faster speed, taking out your phone just in case you had to call someone. But you weren't quick enough because the photographer guy caught up to you, calling you out on running away, calling you names you hated.
“Take your filthy hands off her,” a familiar voice snapped and you felt the photographer yanked away from you while yelling at the intruder:
“Who the fuck you think you are?”
“Someone to beat you to pulp if you keep treating her like a freaking doll,” Juyeon hissed at him, pushing him roughly to the wall of the corridor. Recognizing him the guy suddenly seemed to understand what no meant but the fear in his eyes didn't satisfy the boxer. It felt like déjavu: him coming to your rescue, his threat, the wickedness in his feline eyes, your urge to stop him before things would have gotten out of hand. “I will break your fingers if you touch her again.”
“Juyeon, stop. He isn't worth it,” you tried to pull him away by the arm but he shrugged your hand off, flashing you a glance that could have been only described as dangerous. You stumbled backwards momentarily frightened and seeing that, Juyeon's eyes immediately softened, hand loosening around the photographer's collar. He looked apologetic as he held his hand out for you with his palm up and for a moment, air got stuck in your lungs. You took his hand without thinking and let him lead you out of the place.
You asked no questions, made no protests, just enjoyed his warm palm against yours. It was new, it was butterflies in your stomach-worthy.
“My place is closer,” he said seemingly out of nowhere as if it was that simple but it wasn’t anything but that. It had been months since you knew him, since you started this something but you had never been at his place before.
“Okay,” you mumbled anyway.
He was right, he lived much closer than you, within walking distance and even though his place was smaller and quite messier than yours, you liked how cozy it was. He told you that his roommates would be back only later and brought you water to drink but you only tapped your fingers over the glass.
To be honest, you didn't know where the two of you stood, and how to approach the new situation. You never talked about it and it was light and casual, playful while slowly getting to know each other out in the open but on the other hand, behind closed doors it was way more intimate than being simple friends. And things were even more fragile now having the same friends because what if you brought up dating and then he felt uncomfortable around you? Losing him and making it harder for your best friend was both something you feared.
"You're thinking too hard," Juyeon commented and you gulped.
You weren't surprised he noticed. You weren't exactly subtle but then again how he couldn't notice you slowly falling for him then? The way your eyes lingered? The way your touches were loving and gentle? The way you just couldn't get enough.
“Juyeon… What are we exactly?” you blurted out the question from the top of your mind and he sighed as if he knew what was coming but now that this question was out, you had nothing more to lose, no more of your pride.
“Good girls like you falling for bad boys like me only happen in cheesy books and movies. We both know it wouldn't work out," Juyeon told you, resigned and so sure of himself that it made your throat close up. He didn't even try to play the oblivious, he was so straightforward that it almost heart, ripping your heart out of your chest. But it wasn't an answer, it was a 'what you were not'.
“What the hell are you talking about? You are not a bad guy,” you objected right away because despite his borderline illegal job he was a good guy, loyal to his friends. But it seemed like his definition of bad was different.
“Then why did you flinch before? Do you think I could ever hit you, hurt you physically?” he asked and he was the one who looked hurt. You frantically shook your head trying to tell him that you were taken aback by the sheer anger that enveloped him in that moment but you weren't afraid of him. But Juyeon seemed unable to listen. “You know what? Doesn't matter because I don't fit into your perfect life anyway. Why would a pretty princess want an uneducated Neanderthal like me?”
You hissed, not liking the way he used your nicknames in such context and it made you desperate.
“Because I like you!”
Your voice echoed from the empty voice, it rang into your ears and there were the two of you, standing face to face, silent for a long minute.
"I don't think you like me. You like what I stand for: excitement, adrenalin, a bit of rule breaking. You will end up with a nice guy, princess, like you should," Juyeon sighed and him telling you what you should have done made you so mad.
"Don't try to tell me what I feel!" You raised your voice, something you rarely even did and the fighter looked shocked through, eyes wide, running a hand through his inky strands.
“I don't want to hurt you and hurting people is the only thing I'm good at,” he told you and if the conversation wasn't so hurtful, you would have laughed at such a ridiculous claim.
“Bullshit. You care about your friends, you pay attention, you work hard, you are passionate and now, now you are telling me to find a nicer guy. Instead of breaking my heart to pieces by saying you don't think of me that way, that it was just sex for you, you say none of those things. Why?” you raised a brow at him, provocative, hanging on those last threads of hope and the boy stared back at you as if he was in the ring, ready to fight but unready at the same time. He was obviously torn and frustrated, knuckles turning white.
“Because it wouldn't be true,” he said almost as if he was giving up, letting the last of his walls fall and you needed a moment, heart hammering against your ribcage so loudly, to process this and what it meant. And when you finally understood, a chuckle rolled off your tongue in disbelief. You couldn’t believe that you were not just a coward but blind to see that what you two had wasn’t just being friends with something extra to him either.
You had never seen Juyeon so confused than in that moment, when in that heated moment of the fight you started laughing out loud, smile beaming and directed at him from the relief you felt.
“Good,” you hummed, acknowledging his answer. “Then stop acting so selfless. It doesn’t look good on you and anyway, Neanderthals used to fight for women, not let them go,” you tsked playfully and the guy couldn’t help a snort-like laughter either.
“You’re unbelievable,” he huffed out quite impressed and you couldn’t stop smiling. Not even when he added: “Please tell me you don’t wanna do cheesy shit Sunwoo and your friend do.”
“You mean the couple accessories and celebrating their 100th days together?” you raised a brow and just by the fact that it was his biggest worry now, you knew that you won. You pursued your lips, jokingly pondering on the possibilities. “Gosh, no… But I wouldn’t say no to cuddles tonight.”
“Oh so you wouldn’t say no...” Juyeon cracked a smile, dark cat-like eyes sparkling mischievously while a brow shot up to the middle of his forehead and hummed, excitement building up in your veins as he cornered you to the furniture behind you. “What else you wouldn’t say no to, princess?” he tilted his head and instead of giving him an answer verbally, you grabbed the collar of his tee and pulled him down for a searing kiss.
And cheesy or not, at his next match, you showed up with a banner, too. Get them, Neanderthal!

Today at 1:00 PM EST I saw Cats the Musical at the Shubert Theater with my mom. Here’s the saga:
Tumblr media
Overture:
Mistoffelees was right next to me in the overture with glowing cats eyes and I nearly died right there.
I started crying during the overture, my mom gave me a tissue. Going great so far.
I started screaming at the end of the overture, people are starting to realize I’m a crazy person.
Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats:
Omg they’re here and they’re real and I’m here! I’m crying again.
I pointed out Cassandra to my mom as she came up the aisle. Mom is questioning why I know all the cats names.
MISTO AND TUGGER ARE CUDDLING EACH OTHER HOLY SHIT
The guy the cats call out for being surprised was right in front of me he looked So confused and scared and I was just grinning behind him.
Naming of Cats:
I’m whispering the words along with the cats. Plato made eye contact and smiled at me. I’m crying again.
Watching Victoria in the background is so much fun. She’s getting really into this.
Victoria’s Dance:
Tumblr media
Invitation to the Jellicle Ball:
Misto sneaking up on Victoria with a mischievous look in his eye is a mood.
Victoria looks so annoyed with him, they are literally me and my brother and it makes me so happy.
I love this Misto’s voice and he’s so fucking graceful and elegant and I love him!
MISTO AND TUGGER ARE DANCING TOGETHER OMG
Mungo and Rumple try to greet Munk and he rolls his eyes and tells them to go away. Jerre is very upset at this.
Gumbie Cat:
Looks like the trunk is either broken or not functioning in this space so Jenny just kinda slid out onto the top of it but she’s so beautiful so I don’t care.
Misto is being such a helpful and concerned boy whenever Jenny is around. He’s very concerned when Jenny spaces out for a solid minute.
The Gumbie trio are angels and I will take this belief to my grave.
Plato being a snarky little shit during the dance break made me laugh.
FOR SHES A JOLLY GOOD FELLOW
The Rum Tum Tugger:
He’s here and Skimble is not happy about it!
Misto and Skimble are arguing in the background. Looks like misto is saying Tugger is cute and Skimble is disagreeing.
Misto makes sure Skimble isn’t looking before joining the dance.
Skimble stop trying to pull cats away from Tugger he’s a big sexy magnet and you can’t stop those hips.
My mom is singing along, this makes me so happy.
Misto is just twitching and squealing like a kitten he loves his boyfriend so much.
Munk has given up, just rolled his eyes and walked off stage.
Skimble is now complaining to Jenny, Jenny is too busy staring at Tuggers ass to pay any mind.
Grizabella the Glamour Cat:
Oof. No one is happy rn.
George is extremely startled poor baby.
Munk is trying his best to keep Demeter away and she is not happy about it.
Bomba actually walked up with her arms extended only to hiss and scamper off at the last second. That’s cold girl.
Munk is being very protective of the cats around him. Tugger walked off and Misto ran after him.
Demeter has such a pretty voice and Bomba is so sultry and AH SHIT I’m crying again.
Platoria alert! PLATORIA ALERT!
Bustopher Jones:
Misto continuing to be an extremely helpful boy making everything glow.
The actor did a great job but I honestly prefer his Gus more but we shall get to him later.
First Macavity Scare:
AH SHIT ITS GETTING SPOOKY
Misto and Tugger reaching out to each other before running off in fear.
Bomba being the last cat onstage showing that she don’t give a damn.
Plato is protecting both Cassandra and Victoria. I’m noticing a lot of Plato and Cassandra moments and I’m not sure how I feel about that just yet.
Mungojerre and Rumpleteazer:
ENTER THE CHAOS GREMLINS!
I love them so much and they were extremely slinking baby bastards.
The cartwheel was better than my best dream I’m so happy I’m gonna cry again!!!
Munk and Alonzo ain’t too happy with their shenanigans.
Old Deuteronomy:
“Old Deuteronomy?”
Munk and Tugger duet. ;-;
Platoria cuddling. ;-;
MISTO SMILING AT ME AS HE PASSES. ;—;
Second Macavity Scare:
Everyone just fucking bolted. No protecting, no character interactions, just pure fuck this shit I’m out.
The Jellicle Ball:
This was the happiest I have been in a very long time.
The dancing was gorgeous and the character interactions are absolutley amazing throughout the entire sequence. It was truly a wonderful sight. And yes I did cry again, I’m running out of tissues.
Pas de Deux:
I love that there was no awkwardness or hesitation, just pure love and devotion and OH MY GOD HE ALMOST DROPPED VICTORIA.
Like everything was fine in the end but he visibly stumbled and old Deuteronomy looked very startled for a hot sec. Still very beautiful.
Memory:
DANGIT GRIZZABELLA I HAD JUST STOPPED CRYING!
In all honesty my favorite part was old Deuteronomy looking longingly at her in the background. He misses her so much. ;-;
INTERMISSION :3
Moments of Happiness:
Old Deuteronomy’s voice is so strong and his vibrato is simply heavenly.
Deut pats cori on the head, cori pats Jemima on the head, Jemima sings like an angel.
Look at all those angels!
Gus the Theater Cat:
Jellylorum has such a lovely voice and her gentle movements are lovely.
Gus insulting the kittens is absolutely adorable, they’re so insulted.
Gus playfully hissing at Jemima before booping her nose makes me so soft.
Cat puns making the audience laugh is always wonderful.
The Pekes and the Pollices:
Whispered to my mom before hand “get ready for some chaos”.
Winsome Chinese :3
Misto with a boot on his head is more hilarious than it should be.
Gus has such a wonderful voice and it’s very clear he’s having a blast up there.
Gus received the standing ovation he deserved. Bless that wiry cat man.
Skimbleshanks:
“SKIMBLESHANKS THE RAILWAY CAT”
Alonzo and Jenny playing cards in the background while Skimble sings has a very specific vibe to it.
Mungo is so happy to be dancing with his dad and is just running around like a kitten.
Misto has slipped away to unleash his inner laserpointer.
Macavity Kidnapping:
DEMETER IS DOWN FOLKS SHE IS OUT LIKE A LIGHT.
Munk trying to shield everyone’s eyes and accidentally looking at Macavity and passing out.
Aaaand there goes cat dad.
Macavity:
Deme baby looks so startled.
Bomba we get it you have the hots for Macavity stop biting your lip like that.
YES GURLS FUCKING WORK!!!
Macavity Fight:
Poor Munk getting thrown around like a rag doll, Plato too getting flipped over.
Alonzo like “BITCH LET GO OF MY BOYFRIENDS GIRLFRIEND!”
Mac trying to use his magic to rehypnoitize the cats and looking genuinely scared when it doesn’t work.
Black out!
Mr. Mistoffelees:
Tugger being like alright y’all shut up while I sing about my boyfriend.
PJ is so graceful and beautiful!!! His voice is also very gentle and lovely and him and Tugger being so touchy makes me so happy.
THEY HUUUGGED!!!!!
OH WELL I NEVER WAS THERE EVER A CAT SO CLEVER AS MAGICAL MISTER MISTOFFELEES?!?!! ;—;
Memory:
This was a simply gorgeous performance. This Grizabella made some wonderful character choices and there was a beautiful satisfaction when Victoria took her hand.
I did notice that even after he touched her Tugger looked very uncomfortable at Grizabella’s presence.
Journey to the Heaviside Layer:
Oh.. oh my god I didn’t realize the tire flew that high. OH MY GOD I DIDN'T REALIZE GRIZABELLA ACTUALLY FLEW AWAY.
Addressing of Cats:
Heavenly Deut voice, audience bursted out laughing at the “cat is not a dog” line and I can’t blame them. Crescendo, bows, and it’s over...
POST SHOW :O
After the show me and my mom went across the street to buy cookies and when we came out we saw them striking the set! Here’s them putting the tire in the truck! :3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall this was a magical experience and you bet your sparkly ass I’ll be looking out for when the tour comes back around to me. Now if you excuse me I need to buy more tissues.

this whole texting section was so funnyyyy and i will honorably mention yet again that yao chi texting mc jin in english is so sweet
Tumblr media
li ronghao torturing xu longhan iS HIALRIOSUS
but i also pity the poor child LOOL
wait can we talk about chen tao’s spelling timao LOL
Tumblr media
and chen sijian’s face LOLLL
omg yao mingming’s message is so aww... he mentions liking yixing since he debuted in 2012.......
Tumblr media
omgggg fjj and wang yi theyre all so cute and screamy and i loveee
WAIT CAN WE TALK ABOUT LIN MO AND WANG YI’S HAPPY DANCE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
oh gosh the8 is really showing us how hard seventeen works to get their choreo super in sync wow they really must work so hard.... wow minghao giving up the center position bc he knows how important this is to these kids... he deserves more recognition as a great mentor wow
oh my goodness.......... li zhenning’s voice shaking as he says to shi mingze “if you can get into top 20, then you’ll have hope” is.... the most heartbreaking......... knowing that shi mingze doesnt.......... they literally were smiling as they went off into this corner to talk and are crying by the time they come out..... can you just imagine how much sadness and stress is constantly looming over these kids’ heads and tearing down at their mental health?? its all hidden and suppressed, but with really fragile borders, so as soon as you pick at the walls, their raw emotions come bursting through...
Tumblr media
this just reminds me that even tho shi mingze is their cool, handsome leader, hes still the youngest in bg project............
can we please talk about how considerate of a friend li zhenning is and has been??
and this all took place before zhenning ever ranked into top 9.... so to them, this opportunity wouldve been really important for zhenning too, bc maybe he wouldve really needed it to get into top 9. but at least we know now.... he has enough popularity that they made the correct choice and hopefully more people will notice shi mingze as a result
ZHAN YU’S ARMSSSSSSSSS bo yuan’s hair!! i really like it!!!! wen yechen in pink!!!!!! his voice is so addicting i just wanna hear more of it... it dont matter that zhenning isnt center, he still shines :)) wait wu zelin’s voice i really liked it in retreat and we get even more vocal-like wu zelin here! thats a realy nice purple on qunfeng, hes really rocking this look SHI MINGZE I SAW THAT WINK frick minghao’s dancing is just so satisfying to watch wowow
Tumblr media
man he looks so good
wow i live for random zhan yu reactions (imma just collect them here LOL)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
after journey and mc jin’s friendship is so cute hahahaha
ok i see why elle thinks chen tao is a visual
Tumblr media
wang zhe and wu chengze have both really improved in their stage presence throughout the course of this show aw deng chaoyuan looks the happiest we’ve ever seen him on stage haha zhou shiyuan’s voice is really so cool
i guess we’ll never find out why gu landi is in mc jin’s group..... is it bc yao chi is here? im sorry i love this song and i love a lot of the kids in this group but can you just imagine how much better this stage would’ve been if it were with more kids who had experience rapping....? last year’s “zero” stage just made such a bigger impression on me...... this is actually really such a contrast im---
ALKSJDLAKSJDLK CHEN SIJIAN’S RAPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE JUST DID THATT!!!!!!!!!! DID YOU SEE THAT!??!?!1//!ASDLKJALSKJJ OMGGOHS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! CHEN SIJIAN JUST BLEW EVERYOEN OUT OF THE WATER YOU BEST BET HE DID WOWOW HE JSUT I CANT BELEIEVE HE JSUT INCLUDED AT LEAST 4 NAMES WOW
Tumblr media
IM WEN YECHEN
Tumblr media
chen sijian is really the best at writing raps about his bros wow and like also he has the most creative lyrics i really appreciate wow such talent hes amazing!!!
a lost baby..
Tumblr media
UNDERAPPRECIATED GU LANDI VISUALS
Tumblr media
the face of a legend
Tumblr media
ever since i saw the “time” ballad version, ive had a sneaking suspicion that lin yuzhi is secretly one of the strongest vocalists on this show..... this is the face of talent
Tumblr media
idk whose outfit is distracting me more, xu bingchao or xixi’s LOL shao haofan looks so nice here wow and ding feijun is so adorable even tho this is a more mature concept but i still cant see him as anything but a cute child
maybe its the way they cut up the lines but idk this song didnt really show off their vocal abilities that well..... sorry xixi :( i think xixi’s voice deserved better time to shine on this show...... his and feng junjie’s voices are actually both so nice i was so impressed when i saw them singing in the oaca clips
this koala ad makes me very uncomfortable......
wenhan reaches into the box and pulls out..... costco brand blueberries??!?!?/1 hHhahahhahHAHAHHA
lol yao chi being so sentimental... oh look at this photo of me with bubbles on my face (me: oh no here it come--) OH YEA ALSO CHECK OUT THIS FACE WASH!
wow kou cong!! a face i havent seen in a while aw! i cant believe they filmed all the yaa eps while they all still had colorful hair lol i guess ill never get to see lin mo on yaa /sigh/ or actually any of the tyger members cept jia yi.........
HAHAHAHAHHA YESSSSSSSSS THEY INCLUDED A CLIP OF CHEN SIJIAN’S PHONE CALL !!!! HIS WAS HILARIOUSS!!!! HAHAHAHA I LOVED HOW SIMILAR HIS FAN SEEMED TO BE TO HIM HAHAH
Tumblr media
AAHH AS SOON AS IT GETS TO LIN MO’S ITS THE SAD MUSIC TIME
Tumblr media
his was the most heartwarming call.... no bias LOL
Tumblr media
feng junjie singing “the great artist” just---
this boy will never stop with the meme faces hHAHAHA
Tumblr media
im surprised this section was so short lol i was expecting them to spend more time on this group...
SUN ZELIN SUN ZELIN SUN ZELIN YEA
Tumblr media
jolin’s eyes are so wow
feng junjie with the voice!!!!!!1
JOLIN THE QUEEN
still kinda wish jia yi had more opportunity to sing on this show......... hes like second main vocalist to zhan yu in tyger but i feel like he hasnt gotten to show his voice much :( he did really well tho!!! he really has impressive stage presence
omg lin mo’s super shy “1 day” ahhhhh
omg wang jiayi looks like hes about to cry... the poor child....
yixing reaching out to apologize to them.... hes really so caring towards them...... wang jiayi just needs more confidence!! i believe in him too
where did lin mo get this white cap from? lol he chose the pink one..... on a related note, im so happy lin mo got to be in yixing’s group, bc from the beginning with namanana hes really really tried so hard to earn yixing’s recognition, im sure it means a lot to him to be able to learn from him like this and share a stage with him
yao mingming too, i feel like he really values yixing’s recognition as well
i think all the kids in this group had to have known that picking yixing’s group would be the most tiring and require the most effort, but i think choosing this group regardless just really shows they came here to learn
A HAPPY BABYYY
Tumblr media
omg like yixing is really /teaching/ them and i appreciate that
lin mo and xu fangzhou’s voices!!!!!!
OOF IM SO READY FOR THIS OUTFIT
Tumblr media
ASLDKALSDKJLAK HE WINKED!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
what is this awkward closeup
Tumblr media
why does fangzhou have wings lol
i feel like theres a lot of random awkward closeups of lin mo.... should i be happy about this??? LOL i dont think theyre all very flattering but at the same time at least hes got closeups....???? ? ??
Tumblr media
OOF HES GETTING MORE LINES THAN I EXPECTED TOO
you know how ive talked about how i love how much detail lin mo puts into his dancing, including even his slight head tilts? LOOK ANOTHER HEAD TILT

date: august of 2008 location: jinhae-gu, south korea scenario: minjae experiences his first, high school love. word count: 1,531 notes: this mildly discusses issues with sexuality!! so if that triggers you in any way, i advise you don’t read this! & hey PLEASE click here to read it on mobile bc i’m changing minjae’s theme atm and it’s gonna look so bad if you don’t!!
“kang jinwoo.”
“huh?”
“kang jinwoo,” a voice repeats,  interrupting your reading with an extended hand covering the book you’d been so into. looking up, you notice a boy, presumably a student, staring down at you. while you couldn’t be bothered to put on more than a sweater and jeans, this jinwoo...looks different. trendy. sporting a loud jacket, black jeans, and a graphic tee, he’s everything you aren’t - bold. the thought excites you, and yet you remain weary as your hands interlock, greeting each other.
“i’m...minjae,” a younger, naive you croaks, voice coming out much more inwardly than you’d  like. “lee minjae.” it’s like candy to your company, and with a grin he repeats the name as if it were something foreign.
“lee minjae? it’s cute. cute? guys aren’t cute, you think, but a part of you believes it’s simply your brain forcing you to believe things that aren’t true. because when he says it, you feel like your heart’s been told to beat just a little faster.
“i-thanks.” you’re still not too good with words, all these years later. “have we met before, jinwoo? you look like a high schooler, and i’m sure i would notice you if we were classmates. jinhae-gu’s not too big, anyways.”
your companion grins, shaking his head. “we haven’t, but i saw you earlier today and thought you looked nice. it’s my first day here, i’m from seoul.” even though the city’s only hours away from your own, the thought makes you feel like you’ve met a boy from a different country. he certainly stands out, that’s for sure - that dialect he’d always envied, how he looked like he’d stepped fresh out a tv show, and how he makes your heart flutter.
no, not that. it can’t be.
or...could it?
“i’m not all too smart,” he admits, interrupting all those thoughts cluttered in your head. “so i was wondering...could you help me with some stuff? i’m in my third year of high school, are you too?”
you aren’t, but you do help. your brain’s been a year ahead for your whole life, anyways. with ease, you begin to help the older to understand. just an hour, he says, i’ll get out of your hair soon. but before the two of you notice, the librarian taps your shoulder and reminds you they’ll be closing in ten minutes.
three hours. swept away like three minutes.
and that’s just the first time. after that there’s a second, a third, a fourth. each a little less school-oriented, days of tutoring exchanged for evenings of laughing and crimson cheeks. without much discussion, you’ve moved your meeting spot to his house. perhaps it’s his devilish smile, proposing something more even you can’t pass up. or maybe it’s the gleam in his eyes, proving he’s no bigger threat than a burmese.
those months, spent together with him are the best of your teenage life. under the dim yellow lights of his room, surrounded by posters of bands you wish you were cool enough to know about. there wasn’t a care you possessed, living like that. until the day came, the one you haven’t yet erased from your mind a decade later.
“have you…ever kissed a guy?” he asks, eyes looking not at you but instead fixed upon the wall of the room. you freeze, finally forced to confront the thing that had been haunting you since he showed his face all those months back.
“of course not. why would i?” you ask. while you laugh, it’s out of fear, rather than true amusement. fear that he knows. because when he turns to face you, he’s nothing but doubt, seeing through all your walls you’ve put up. doubt. never has your vulnerability been so frightening.
“i’m serious, minjae, you haven’t...thought about it? ever? wanted to see what it’s like, just once?” it’s like he’s reading right through you, everything you’ve been dying to confess. heart palpitating, sweat forming on your forehead. you find no way to lie your way out of it, especially with the one you’ve been dying to kiss just once staring you down. shrugging, voice as meek as a stage frightened child, you mutter. “maybe.”, then the world explodes.
“then can we?” he asks, awaiting your response. but nothing comes out. faces centimeters apart, each’s eyes trained on the other’s lips. and to think you thought girls made you nervous. this was completely new terrain, and the pure unfamiliarity sent you into a wave of emotions. despite all the confusion, you know, just know that it’s what you want. so, after a probable hour of silence you nod your head in consent.
and that was the day you had your first kiss. who would’ve thought? those immature crushes on your classmates, those girls who’d quietly confessed their feelings for you, none of it had ever amounted to something as big as this. a kiss. something so magical, that had always been the antidote to all problems in the books you surrounded yourself with finally turned into something more. something real. when the two of you pull away, you expect regret. embarrassment. disgust. but they don’t come. the bubbly feeling in your chest doesn’t subside, and you surprise yourself and jinwoo when you lean in once more.
and oddly, it’s….fine, between you two. like nothing’s changed. it’s as if the kiss took away any tension you ever had. neither of you mentions it, or any of the other moments you share, to anyone but yourselves. but no one can deny that you haven’t grown closer. the months leading up to the end of the term are spent side by side in the halls, apart only to go to your respective classes. even when the bell rings and everyone heads home, you two are the last to go. lingering in the streets, hoping for just a few more minutes together. you have dance at 7. he has to be home by 8.  you come up with a compromise, one where he walks you all the way to dance and dashes home to make it in time. you swear it’s the cutest thing ever, watching him wave you goodbye as he jogs in the opposite direction. you pray moments like this last forever.
but they can’t. no matter how naive you are, you know all good things come to an end. the reality of graduation washes over you two, and before you know it he’s packing up for college.
“so this is….really happening? you’re going back to seoul?”
there’s a lingering silence. for once, you hate how quiet it is. because it makes you realize that there’s nothing left to be said, nothing left to be done. his decision is made.
“mm,” he answers shortly, not wanting to linger on the subject. “you’re all that’s here for me, minjae. i wasn’t meant for small towns, they’ve never been my style.”
you want to scream, aren’t i worth staying for? but you don’t. because you refuse to be selfish. if anything, you know what it’s like to be constrained, son to parents who want anything but for you to fulfill your biggest dream - to dance. you don’t want to clip jinwoo’s wings, too. so you nod, smile, and whisper the words you mean but hate to admit. “you should go, then. to seoul, i mean. i want you to be happy.”
so he does.
as soon as he’s out of your grasp, you cling to his social media for any updates, seeing what life’s like now that he’s back in the city. reuniting with friends, trying new things, doing everything you wish you could. instead, you stay behind, studying all night and waiting for the day you’ll feel as free as him. you two call, but as time passes so does the time between you two’s conversations. he’s a young adult, wandering as he pleases around the country. you’re still a student, working hard to stay afloat and graduate. two utterly different paths, not destined to cross again.
so you do what you promise to do, and let him go. soon, you’re off to college too, and you feel even more free than you thought he was. travelling to a new country, studying abroad and having the best time of your life. becoming an idol, something you would’ve never fathomed just a few years before, has become all too real to you now.
you let him go. but you don’t let yourself forget.
even after all this time, when asked about your first crushes and your ideal types his face crosses your mind. you smile, and answer with some celebrity’s name to appease your audience. but you wonder where he is. how he’s doing. if he’s watching you on tv with the same bittersweet feeling you’d once had towards him.
has he forgotten your name? the days and nights of a better time, hands interlocked and eyes peering at one another? has he erased the feeling of your lips connecting from his mind, or how it made the world feel like it was on fire? you hope he hasn’t.
because you won’t. you never forget your first love.

Obviously
Pairing: PTG’s Yuto x OC [Chaewon] || PTG’s Hui x OC [Chaeyeon] Genre: college!au, slice of life, slight fluff, slight angst Word Count: 4,880 Summary: Taking it to the next level is still a challenge when you're not sure if you're ready to venture out again when certain thoughts still keep you thinking about it. Then again, going forward is usually the only way to ever really see something for more than it is when it's obviously been right in front of you. It's always great when the other person makes you feel more about yourself to wanting to be with them, too. part one {Maybe, I Could Be}
Warning: none really.
so this is my last story concerning PTG that i’m sharing from two years ago. hopefully more PTG content will pop up and i hope that i can share more as well. but um, PTG gave me really good motivation back then and got me to write these out. hopefully i can write more now that i see them again and can get out of my weird writing funk like always. so yeah, happy reading and kthxbai, Admin Lia~
Chaeyeon found herself again at the Phi Tau Gamma House with Chaewon for the fraternity's monthly fundraiser show since she attended the last one a few months ago. "I thought only you was going to attend this since the last one we went together?" Chaeyeon said as she and Chaewon settled in their seats. "Yeah, but Gu said it's important because he and the others will be performing tonight." Chaewon grinned as Chaeyeon rolled her eyes with a scoff. "So what, Won? I see that kid perform every day." "Yeah, Yeon, but this time it's an actual stage performance and not through clips." "I swear the both of you are so annoying."
"Don't worry, Yeon, your boyfriend is performing, too." Chaewon laughed as she elbowed her sister playfully while Chaeyeon rolled her eyes. "Hwi's not my boyfriend." "I thought you and Hui were together?" "We're not." "But you've guys gone out for months now and you even visit him at the music rooms to hear his stuff." "That's a lie. I only visit him because he keeps texting me to listen to his compositions." "Wait, you didn't deny anything about going out." Chaewon wriggled her eyebrows up and down as Chaeyeon rolled her eyes once again. "They were never dates, Won. They were just hang outs and study sessions."
"Right." Chaewon didn't believe her sister with a shake of her head as Chaeyeon elbowed her back playfully. "I'm not like you and Yuto." "Obviously." "Whatever. How are you two, anyways?" "Good. We have a date once this is over." "Maybe you guys should become boyfriend and girlfriend already so you can leave me alone." "We're working on it, well, more like me." "Because of Mark?" "Yeah. Although he did back off, it's just a bit hard to move on from something like that." "I know what you mean." The duo's conversation died down once the same MC from last time greeted the audience and dove right in to the performances.
"Hello, hello. It's great seeing another full house as all of you are welcome to another PTG's night of fun and entertainment." The MC happily greeted. "Tonight will be our main members performing while showing their different charms and colors as they have four stages lined up with different teams to showcase!" The audience applauded. "Of course only two team stages will get to help their charities from the audience who votes for them the most." The MC reminded them. "Alright, the first stage that we have for you guys is from Team Kino consisting of Kino, Jinho, Shinwon, Yanan, and Wooseok as they do Justin Bieber's 'Sorry'.
It was Shinwon and Yanan who came out first accompanied by a white piano with Shinwon playing and Yanan singing first. "Ohh, I like their re-arrangement of the song." Chaeyeon awed once Shinwon began playing. "I know right, especially when Yanan's angelic vocals complements it." Chaewon added. "Mmhmm." Later Jinho came out singing next while the lower PTG members took the piano away and the rest of the performers joining Jinho a second later. "He would waved." Chaewon commented upon seeing her step-brother waved towards the crowd. "Like the cute little shit he is."
"Hey, isn't that the jacket you got for his birthday this year?" Chaeyeon asked upon seeing the black leather jacket. "I think so. That kid has a lot of clothes." "True that." The sisters enjoyed the rest of the performance along with the crowd. "Whoo! Them high notes from Jinho at the end ain't no joke." The MC chuckled once he appeared after the other five had walked off. "And who was surprised from that dance break, right? Kino came up with that. Now, onto the second stage which is Team Hui consisting of Hui, Hongseok, E'Dawn, Yeo One, and Yuto as they do Wiz Khalifa's song 'See You Again'.
The five mentioned appeared on stage with a couch as their prop. "Hey, it's your future boyfriend, your pretend boy friend, and your best friend all in one group." Chaewon mused while elbowing Chaeyeon who just nudged her sister back to stop her teasing. "Stop. Just focus on your man." "I already did because he looks fine and I like this song." "What song do you not like?" "True." When the song reached it's climax, Chaewon gushed at the high notes from Hwitaek, Hongseok, and Changgu. She wasn't the only one as the MC came out fanning himself. "Is it just me or did it just get hotter when those three hit them notes?"
"Okay, ladies and gentlemen." He returned to his calm self. "We'll have a small talk as we give our members time to change into their next outfits while I'll announce the next team for you." He smiled warmly at everyone. "Alright, so the next stage that will be performing is from Team E'Dawn consisting of E'Dawn, Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Kino, and Yuto." The MC read from his cards. "These six will be performing BEAST's Good Luck." The crowd applauded as another PTG member signaled to the MC that he can announce the actual stage. "Oh, and here we go guys! Please welcome Team E'Dawn!"
The MC walked off as the six males appeared on stage just as they did a little cheer before the music came on. "Hot damn, Yeon. Hongseok's looking fine and showing some skin." Chaewon basically fangirled as Chaeyeon eyed her. "I'ma tell Yuto." "Go ahead. I can look, but I can't touch." "You're horrible." "Yeah, right." The younger woman nudged the older one while casting Chaeyeon a knowing look. "Acting like you didn't even check him out just now, too." "I didn't." "Because you were too focused on Hwitaek." "Shut up." Chaewon laughed at teasing her sister who was trying to be indifferent now.
"Yes, good luck to them, too." The MC clapped while chuckling as he appeared back on the stage once again. "Now for our fourth and last stage it will be by Team Jinho consisting of Jinho, Yeo One, Yanan, and Yuto." He announced. "The quartet will be performing to BEAST's On Rainy Days! Let's get it!" He walked off as the four males came on while carrying stools for them to sit on as they covered the song. "I really like this song. I hope they do it well." Chaeyeon commented as Chaewon nodded. "Well, they should since Jinho, Yeo One, and Yanan have such nice voices and Yuto's deep voice fits for rapping. So it should be amazing."
Chaeyeon nudged her sister. "You're just adding the rest so that you don't seem so bias towards Yuto." "Basically." The duo laughed as Changgu sang first. The young MC returned when the fourth stage was complete as he informed the audience to vote for the two stages they like. They would all be directed by the other PTG members out of their seats and to the voting place and unlike before where they exited the building once they did so, the audience would actually returned to their seat for a special surprise. Everyone chattered among themselves wondering what it could be once they had voted.
"I wonder what it is." Chaewon said while looking around. "They didn't do this last time or for the previous ones. This is the first time I'm hearing it and Gu usually tells me." "Probably some other announcement in relation to their frat house and fundraiser thing that you're not a member of it." Chaeyeon reasoned as she let out a yawn. "I hope it ends soon. I wanna sleep." "Whatever. You don't sleep until like six in the morning, anwyays." "That's you." "No. I don't sleep until three or four." "Yeah, sure. You're too busy watching your dramas." "Hell yeah. They're fun." "Mmhmm. Talking to Yuto, too." "That, too." Chaewon laughed.
The pair continued to talk until everyone had voted and the young male returned back to speak to them again. "Thank you all for voting and being patient with us." He smiled at the crowd. "Tonight is a special night because we actually have two more stages for you guys to enjoy!" The crowd let out excited cheers. "These two teams wanted to showcase these two songs they've been working on from composing, writing lyrics, and even arranging the choreography. Tonight, they have that chance to do that with everyone present." The MC informed them with a proud smile. "They hope you'll like both stages and songs!"
Chaewon then nudged Chaeyeon with a grinning facing. "That's your reason for being here, Yeon." "Yeah, whatever, Won." The MC continued again. "There won't be any voting since it's a special present for you guys. Now, Team Jinho will be going first and it's made up of Jinho, Hongseok, E'Dawn, Shinwon, and Yanan. It's a song called 'Find Me'. Please enjoy!" When the quintet came on stage Chaewon couldn't help it as she fangirl a bit. "Damn, Hongseok and Yanan both in sleeveless shirts." "Girl, stay in your lane." Chaeyeon mused as Chaewon grinned. "Duh. Like I said. I can look, but no touching." "Mmhmm."
Team Jinho ended with emotional feels that the MC almost had tears falling. "Whoa. Just wow. Who was touched just now by that breathtaking performance?" He asked before smiling again. "Okay, we're bringing up the mood and making it hot with Team Hui made up of Hui, Yeo One, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok. It's a song called 'Young'. Let's get it!" He announced just before the five males walked onto the stage with swagger. When the part where Hyunggu partially ripped his buttoned shirt open all the females let out screams except his step-sisters, but Chaewon was laughing and clapping happily.
Chaeyeon shook her head. "He's going to be the death of me." "How?" Chaewon eyed her sister weirdly. "It's not like you're gonna fall for your own step-brother." "His fangirls because that boy knows what he's doing." "Hey, that's his charm." "Yeah and that expensive as shirt I got for his birthday." Chaeyeon sighed. "I don't wanna deal with his fans if they find out we're related." "Oh, well. What happens, happens. Not like you can stop it." "I know." The duo watched the rest of the performance with Chaewon cheering for Yuto when his part came on. "So obvious, Won." "Duh, Yeon. I have to make sure he gets lot of love." "Mmhmm."
Chaeyeon was heading back to her dorm after she had made an escape once the Phi Tau Gamma event was over before her sister could drag her to anything else. When she neared the building she was surprised by Jaebum suddenly appearing before her as she instantly went into defense mode ready to fight him. "No, wait. It's not what you think, Chaeyeon. It's not like that." Jaebum hurriedly said as he also held up his hands to show her that he meant no harm, but Chaeyeon didn't budge. "I understand your distrust, but I really want to talk to you and have been waiting for a while." He begged and Chaeyeon relented, but kept cautious.
Jaebum smiled at her in relief, but kept his distance. Chaeyeon recognized the smile as she hadn't seen that smile in a long time and wondered what he wanted. "What do you want?" He let out a deep sigh before speaking. "I wanted to apologize to you. For everything that I've done during our relationship and after we broke up. I'm sorry that I acted the way I did." "Why now?" "Because now I kind of understand what you went through with my behavior as I'm going through a similar thing and I honestly didn't know it was like that for you. I deeply regret it." He looked at her with sad eyes. "I'm really sorry, Yeon."
Chaeyeon could hear his sincerity and see it, but she was still wary of him. "Wait a minute. What do you mean by going through something similar, Jaebum?" The male let out another breath as he ran a hand through his hair. "Sunmi is obsessed with me and I didn't think she was that clingy and crazy when you gave her the okay to date me." Chaeyeon was surprised to hear the words leave his mouth, but not surprised at the truth of her ex-friend being revealed. "I figure something was up when she talked about you like she was jealous or envious of me when you and I were dating." Chaeyeon admitted as Jaebum scoffed. 'Figures."
He ran a hand through his hair again as he looked around before returning his gaze onto Chaeyeon. "I really wish we had turned out differently, but I know we can't go back to what we once were." He shot her an embarrassed look. "Um, you can tell Chaewon that Mark is really sorry, too. He now understands the situation that he had put her through when it came to bite him in the ass a month ago." "Seriously? How convenient." Chaeyeon scoffed as Jaebum smiled a little. "Yeah. We really didn't know what was going through our heads, but I guess we just didn't have anyone to tell us or show us different and just let us do us for too long."
Jaebum looked at his ex-girlfriend with a sincere and an apologetic look. "Until we met you guys and ended up the way that we are now." "Well, I'm glad that you're realizing that despite what you guys put us through, but my sister and I would rather know that you guys changed your ways and will learn from this." "Yeah, that's going to be a long while, but thanks a lot, Chaeyeon." She shot her ex-boyfriend a smile. "You're welcome, Jaebum. As for the issue with Sunmi go with a restraining order or she'll turn even more crazy and start claiming shit was real when it wasn't. You didn't do anything with her, right?"
Jaebum shook his head. "Hell, no. Just a date here and there, but nothing serious." "Good. That should help, but I really hope you and Mark settle this out because it won't be easy." "Yeah, learned that the hard way, but we're really working on it." "Don't worry, JB, it'll get better eventually." "Thanks, Yeon." The two stared at one another for a bit until Jaebum broke the silence. "I know it may be too much to ask of you, Chaeyeon, and I know that this will be the last time we'll ever interact with one another again, but could I ask for one last hug goodbye?" He shot her a half-smile with an understanding look. "You don't have to though."
Chaeyeon smiled as she opened her arms letting her guard down. "It's a hug, Jaebum, and this will signify the end of our chapter with one another." He smiled as he went in and held her for a long while. "I'm sorry about everything that had happened, but I'm glad you were a part of my life for a while, Chaeyeon." He whispered into her ear as Chaeyeon shed a few unexpected tears. "Me, too, Jaebum. Thanks for being a part of mine as well." The two separated as Jaebum out of habit wiped a stray tear with his thumb before returning his hand to his side. "Goodbye, Yeon, and may you have happiness from here on out."
"And I wish the same to you, too, JB. Good luck and goodbye." She waved as he shot his ex-girlfriend one last smile before turning away and heading back to GOT's fraternity house. Chaeyeon watched her ex-boyfriend for a few seconds longer while wiping away the remaining tears before making her way to her dorm again when she heard her name being called a moment later. Chaeyeon turned around to find Hwitaek walking up to her with a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, but didn't mention it. "Hey, Hwi." She greeted him with a small smile. "What are you doing here?"
Hwitaek faltered a bit when he spoke. "Just, um, I, just came, y'know, to check on why you ran off." He flashed her a smile with a small laugh although she tilted her head at his behavior. "You saw what happened between me and my ex, huh?" Hwitaek let out a sigh as he nodded. "Yeah." She let out a small chuckle as she took a hold of one of his hand to reassure him. "We just said our final goodbyes and that he was really sorry for what he had done to me." She squeezed his hand with another smile. "We weren't planning on getting back together if that's what was making you worry, Hwitaek."
"Worry? I wasn't worry, Yeon. Not at all. None whatsoever." The male laughed it off, but Chaeyeon shook her head at his behavior. "Oh really?" She mused as she let go of Hwitaek's hand. "I guess I'll be going now. Bye, Hwi." Before Chaeyeon could turn away Hwitaek took a hold of her hand and had the female face him. "Wait." "Hm?" There was a long pause between them before Hwitaek let out a few coughs as he avoided eye-contact with Chaeyeon. "So, um, I, well..." He trailed off not sure what he wanted to say at this moment while Chaeyeon was suppressing a laugh from erupting out of her.
Hwitaek soon caught her look as he pouted soon afterwards. "Stop doing that to me." "Stop doing what?" "Laughing at me." "I wasn't laughing at you." He eyed her. "You wanted to and was about to." "No, I wasnt." Chaeyeon denied as Hwitaek shot her a knowing look. "The boys do it to me all the time, Yeon." Chaeyeon finally smiled as she placed her free hand onto their held hand so she could pat it for his comfort. "Because they love you." "Oh?" He let out as a sly look with a smirk appeared upon his face. "Because they love me, huh? Does that mean you like me a lot, too?" "No." She deadpanned as he frowned. "Wow."
Chaeyeon couldn't help it as she laughed upon seeing his reaction which caused Hwitaek to eyed her a second later with a tilt of his head. "I really don't get you some times." She shrugged indifferently. "Me, either." Chaeyeon let go of his hand once again, but Hwitaek took a hold of it once more and even laced their fingers together while leading them in a random walk and away form her dorm. "Is there a special reason on why you keep on wanting to hold my hand, Hwitaek?" Chaeyeon asked while lifting up their held hands as Hwitaek grinned amusingly at her. "Not really, Chaeyeon. No special reason at all. I just like holding your hand."
"Right, like calling me to come hear your compositions at odd hours of the day and night. Don't you like have friends for that?" "I do, but aren't you my friend, too?" "No." Chaeyeon deadpanned as Hwitaek cast her another sly look. "Did you want to be more than just friends with me, Chaeyeon?" "No." "Don't lie to me, Yeon. I know. Chaewon told me otherwise." "You really need to stop listening to other people telling you stories about me, Hwitaek." "Then how else am I going to learn about you, Chaeyeon, if you won't tell me?" He pouted as she rolled her eyes, but a slight smile graced her lips. "Obviously by hanging out more, Hwi."
"Then let us hang out some more, Yeon!" Hwitaek grinned while pulling her along in a jog. "Hey!" She softly yelled out as he suddenly picked up the pace. "Slow down, please." "Sorry, Yeon." Hwitaek apologized as he slowed his steps. "All you had to do was just ask, Hwi. We didn't need to run." Chaeyeon grumbled as Hwitaek laughed before taking off running again with Chaeyeon trying to slow them down. "Yah, Hwitaek!" Hwitaek laughed in response still tugging Chaeyeon along. "Lee Hwitaek!" "Lee Chaeyeon!" Hwitaek only laughed when Chaeyeon lightly punched his back in response.
"You guys were really great." Chaewon praised the nine males once she was able to get through backstage after telling Hwitaek that Chaeyeon had ran off and he should go catch her sister if he wanted to spend any real time with her before she played 'loner' again. "Thanks for making it out, sis." Hyunggu thanked Chaewon first upon receiving a hug from her first. "Hope you enjoyed the performances." "Heck yeah. Seriously awesome." She grinned while hugging the rest of the guys. "I heard you screaming for your soon-to-be boyfriend." Shinwon whispered into her ear as she playfully smacked him. "Shut up, Shin."
Shinwon chuckled once he released her. "It's still the truth." "Shut up." "You look kind of embarrassed, Won." Jinho softly said to her once it was his turn to hug the female before chuckling afterwards. "And somehow I think I may know why you are like that." "Don't you start, Jin." Melanie warned him in a quiet tone as Jinho laughed while releasing Chaewon. "Hey, I'm not trying to start anything, Won." "Maybe I should start something?" Hyojung joked as he went next to hug the female who rolled her eyes. "No, E, please don't or I'ma drown you in your sleep if I have to."
"You can't do that." Hyojung dismissed her threat once they parted as Chaewon slowly grinned at him. "Wanna try me?" "Damn, you look like Yeon, right now." "No I don't." It went on like this with the others saying similar things before she finally got to Yuto who noticed her sudden shy and flustered expression and demeanor when the two finally hugged and the others suddenly went 'ohhh' in excited voices and laughing after doing so. "I feel like I missed out on something just now." He whispered against her ear as Chaewon shook her head. "It's nothing, Yuto. You were amazing." "Thanks."
He grinned wider after releasing her and before Yuto could ask her which of the stages was her favorite one she was pulled away by Hyunggu. "Yo, Won, I need to ask you about something." "What is it, Gu?" Chaewon asked turning her attention onto her step-brother unintentionally ignoring Yuto. "About the shirt that I ripped a while ago. I just realized that Yeon got that for me for my birthday when the stage was over. Did she get mad?" "Hah, she did, but it was more about your actions." Hyunggu let out a relieved breath. "That's good, but what about them?" "You're gonna be the death of her." They shared a laugh.
The step-siblings continued to talk as Yuto slightly frowned because he and Chaewon weren't going to leave yet for their weekly late night date. "So, Yuto, why the long face, huh?" Wooseok asked as he softly shouldered his friend to get his attention. "It's nothing." "Right." "Really, it's nothing." Yuto assured his friend although Wooseok cast him a knowingly look. "Mmhmm." Yuto just stared at him as Wooseok backed off with a laugh. "Whatever you say man." "I think he's a little jealous." Yanan mused coming up to the other side of Yuto. "Chaewon is spending time with Kino instead of her soon-to-be boyfriend."
Yuto looked over at Yanan with a neutral face. "I'm not jealous." "You sound jealous." Changgu interjected with a laugh and then a nod later. "Yeah, you look jealous, too." "I'm not." Yuto said in a firm tone while looking over at Changgu who raised his eyebrows with a grin. "Sure you aren't." "Hey, leave poor Yuto alone." Hongseok came to his friend's defense with a sympathic look. "It's not like this is the first time he's being completely ignored by Chaewon who's done this to him on several occasions." Hongseok then erupted into a small chuckle as Yuto rolled his eyes while crossing his arms. "She doesn't completely ignore me."
Chaewon finally came up to them as she latched a hand onto Yuto's forearm. "See, she doesn't ignore me all the time." Yuto said as the female looked at the male weirdly. "What?" "It's nothing." He cast her a sweet smile while she shrugged. "Okay, let's go." She grinned while pulling the male away and shooting the rest a wave. "Later guys. Have a good night." "Bye and the same to the both of you, too." The group of eight bid them while laughing. Yuto glared at them as Chaewon pulled the both of them out of the room not really caring about the laughter she just heard already knowing that she and Yuto have been teased enough for tonight.
When the two were out of the house and on the campus' grounds under the night sky, Yuto and Chaewon were comfortably walking around with their arms hooked together. "Y'know I don't ignore you on purpose, right?" Chaewon suddenly spoke as Yuto smiled. "I know. You're just too lazy." Chaewon laughed as she tightened her hold onto his arm. "Cool. We're clear on that part." "Well," Yuto began as Chaewon glanced at him. "Well, what?" "When we're around the guys though could you pay a little more attention towards me?" "Haha, I'll try." Yuto slightly pouted before smiling afterwards when Chaewon pecked him on the cheek.
The duo continued to walk towards their destination when there were several howlings going off consecutively in the distance and Chaewon felt Yuto's gripped tightened around her arm in almost a death-like grip. "Um, Yuto, are you okay?" "No." "Are you scared?" "Something like that." "Of what?" "The dark." "The stars are out." "And ghosts." "Those were dogs." "You never know, Chaewon." The female chuckled as she patted his hand in assurance. "Don't worry, Yuto. It's okay to be afraid and scared of the dark and ghosts. Although Chaeyeon did mention that dogs can see ghosts and usually bark when they see them close by."
Just then the pair heard a few barks nearby that spooked Yuto. "What was that? Did you hear that?" Chaewon couldn't help it as she laugh at the male's behavior. "I think it was a dog barking." "Don't laugh, Won." "I'm sorry, Yuto." "No you're not." "True. You're right. I'm not." The female chuckled as Yuto frowned. "This wasn't how our date was supposed to go." "It's okay, Yuto. It happens." "No, Chaewon, you don't get it. We were supposed to have a nice and quiet late night walk where I ask you to be my girlfriend." Yuto admitted without realizing it as he continued to talk. "Not get teased by the others and scared by dogs."
Chaewon stopped walking a second later causing Yuto to jerk a bit and stared at Chaewon. "What's wrong?" "What was it that you said before the last thing?" "Not teased by the others and scared by dogs?" Yuto re-stated. "Not that one. The other part." Yuto tried to think back on what he had said before he realized what he had said as his eyes widened. "Ask you to be my girlfriend." He repeated as Chaewon nodded with a skeptic expression. "Are you serious? Or did you just say that to distract yourself?" The male suddenly avoided eye contact, but the female moved back into his line of sight.
"Yuto." She said his name again as he focused his attention back onto Chaewon. "Please, Yuto, no bullshit." She told him while taking a hold of his hand. "I've had enough of that this year and don't want to deal with anymore." She gave his hand a squeeze when she saw him direct his eyes elsewhere and he gazed back at her. "Were you serious?" The male let out a long breath as he nodded while biting his lower lip nervously. "Yeah." The female smiled slowly as she leaned in to kiss the male a little longer than she would normally. "Yes." She agreed after pulling away causing Yuto to look at her weirdly. "What?"
"I said 'yes' to being your girlfriend, Yuto." Chaewon confirmed as Yuto broke into a large smile as he automatically wrapped his arms around her. "I'm so happy, Won. I thought you would've said no and that you were still hung up on that ex of yours." Yuto admitted in almost a whisper. "You're so silly, Yuto." Chaewon chuckled as she returned the hug. "Obviously, you really don't have to worry about him." She grinned at the male. "I like you now." Yuto smiled as he leaned in for another kiss. "Good, because I've been wanting to ask you for days now." "What made you wanna do it tonight?" Chaewon asked him as the two continued walking.
"The others kept teasing me and I had a feeling they were saying stuff when you were hugging earlier." Yuto explained as Chaewon laughed. "Yeah." Then a sly appeared on the female's face. "Hey." "Hm?" Yuto said not aware of what she was about to pull on him. "How about we change our date a bit?" "To what?" "To... Leaving Adachi Yuto in the dark!" Chaewon exclaimed as she ran off while laughing. "Chaewon! Don't leave your new boyfriend like that!" Yuto called after her as he ran after her. "I just told you I was scared of the dark! Lee Chaewon!" Chaewon eventually returned to his side and making it up to him with kisses and hugs.

Name: Jiang Shi 江诗 | Jiang Yuye 江逾夜, which is a very unfortunate name for an equally unfortunate woman
Faceclaim: Lulu Xu 徐璐
How does she look: Shishi usually dresses in the clothes of a male noble in silk robes, her long black hair tied in a low ponytail with a dark hat shrouding her face. She is fair-skinned, the only distinctive trait of her unorthodox training being her orange eyes, which are indistinguishable from the usual hazel or black in regular light but glow in darkness or dim light to grant her extended darkvision. Her weapon of choice is a shortsword she jokingly named Bishou 匕首.
Her “son” A-yuan is a chubby-looking 6 year old dressed in silk robes just like his niang, and he has the tiniest topknot on his hat. Rides along with Shishi in a big basket she wove for him, padded with blankets and cushions for a fun and interactive experience.
What: At first glance, Jiang Shi (or “Shishi”, as she prefers to be called) presents as a masculine writer specialising in romance novels appealing to an overwhelmingly female fanbase. She presents as a loving father of one in front of her audience, which has caused many, many questions about her interests and the fate of her “wife”.
In reality, her writings is a cover for her actual status as an assassin from the Huayue Sect 华悦派, a powerful spy organisation that assassinates high-ranking and corrupt government officials and redistributes their wealth.
Current location: Yunyang, a cold and somewhat isolated village cloaked in consistent fog and dotted by forests. Shishi’s hometown, a very sad place to be. Most of the villagers are hardy and surly folk that can’t stand Shishi’s loud temperament, but begrudgingly admit that she does do her job well.
Who she’s with/her skills: The Huayue Sect had taken her in as a child, and taught her the art of shadow-walking, allowing her to focus her energies into turning completely invisible in darkness as well as wield the shadow she casts as a “separate entity” that fights like her simulacrum. Shishi is also a skilled swordswoman in her own right specialising in close range combat and proficient in poisons
Where she’s going: In recent times, Shishi has sailed from the comfort of the capital, where she’d been recreationally taking hits on nobles after a botched attempt at eradicating the entire family of a corrupt government official from the next town meant she’d been in hiding with the sole survivor, a toddler boy named Liu Yuan “A-yuan” 刘缘 the entire time, to a small village further up north named 云扬 Yunyang in an attempt to entrust Xiaoyuan to a few of her older sect members to be raised and taught the wonderful art of murdering rude people, away from the prying eyes of those who might wish the boy harm.
The only problem? The Huayue Sect is a female-only organisation, and suffice to say that the rest of the sect is side-eying Shishi extremely heavily for not only disappearing for (at this point in the story) a year, but returning with a boy that calls her “mum”.
Sect rules and other knick-knacks: To master the art of shadow-walking, the Huayue Sect values itself on the Buddhist concept of emptiness. They believe that forming bonds with others outside the sect is a form of weakness, and by being devoid of all emotions and burdens, they would be light enough to detach themselves from this world and slip into “the next” (i.e. the shadows and darkness).
Shishi has probably not been paying attention when she took A-yuan in, but surprisingly has still been able to tap into her abilities, even being stronger than she actually is with her maternal bond towards A-yuan. She would argue that she used to believe and be fully devoted to the values of the Huayue Sect, but now? She can’t say she’s too sure…
What does she want?: To keep A-yuan safe and away from those who might mean him harm, and reflect upon herself as an assassin if she is forced to kill children (her only moral baseline about matters).
-----
Name: Liu Shui 刘祱 | Liu Xiwen 刘熙玟 because if I don’t make puns I will just die
Faceclaim: Gu Zicheng 古子成
How does he look: A gaunt, slender younger man with his face marred by jagged blade scars, Xiwen is usually dressed in light, flexible leather armor under his dark blue noble robes, and covers his face with a hood due to his disfigurement. His left hand is missing, replaced by a metal prosthetic shaped in a fist, and he carries around a sheathed, wavy blade named 蟒蛇 Mangshe.
What: Xiwen is the disgraced younger son of the infamous Liu family, well-known in his hometown of Shanzhou for their tyrannical stranglehold over an otherwise poverty-stricken farming village. After returning from exile to find his family slaughtered, he tracked down his nephew at Yunyang and eventually was picked up by Shishi, who couldn’t bear for A-yuan to be separated from his xiaoshu.
Current location: Yunyang, a cold and somewhat isolated village cloaked in consistent fog and dotted by forests. Xiwen hoped to retire in secrecy there, but being swept up by Shishi and A-yuan meant that he was consistently being kept on his toes.
Who he’s with/his skills: Trained in both bladework and poisons from a young age, Xiwen is skilled at disarming people using his curved blade, as well as poisoning them using the Lius’ secret formula used specifically to eradicate their opponents and cement their power. He also couples this with punches from his prosthetic hand, using the wooden portion to absorb blows and earning his title of 激流河 “The Rushing River” as a result.
Alongside him is his loyal servant Runze 闰泽, who is usually dressed in similar commoner robes as he is and carries a wooden backpack filled with supplies on his behalf. Runze is skilled with a bow, covering distance for his master, and he is treated like an equal by Xiwen, his best friend through thick and thin.
Where he’s going: Xiwen had intended to let the Liu bloodline die out with him, and had left to Yunyang quietly knowing that nobody would recognise him. He hoped to track down news of his nephew, or at least a child that looked very similar, who’d been sighted multiple times at a wandering bookstore, and when Shishi made him an offer he couldn’t refuse, Xiwen reluctantly took up the offer to be Wanzi Qianju’s bodyguard and book mule.
What Xiwen is unaware of is Shishi’s involvement in his family’s slaughter, though he’d been aware of Shishi’s true gender identity from the start (let’s just say that even with a topknot, she wasn’t fooling anyone). He didn’t set out to get revenge either, but when push came to shove, he’s unsure if he would be able to properly confront his family’s assailant, torn between his ideals of letting his sinister family finally fade in history and vengeance against those she’d taken from him.
What does he want?: To live quietly where nobody would recognise him, but as always, life had other plans, and he now lives devoted to keeping A-yuan safe as well as tracking down who’d been the one behind these murders.

MD3 watches Carole & Tuesday season 1 part 2
I didn't write any reaction notes while watching eps13-14 because I wasn't at my laptop at the time.  And I didn't write any during ep15, because I was trying to not be so distracted.  By by ep16, I couldn't not write reactions anymore.  ^^;;;;
Also, I watched this half of the season mostly in English dub.  I thought if I did, I wouldn't get so distracted. And it did help me be able to watch while I ate.  Yet I ended up marathoning the rest of the series all day.  ^^;;;;;
2:26 PM 12/27/2019
Carole and Tuesday ep16
"Where can we find a band that will play for free?"  *Turns corner and finds a band playing for free*  LOL  I love this show!  LOL  ^o^  No, but seriously, I love how virtually conflict-free it is.  Whatever obstacles there are, get resolved quickly or by the end of an episode or 2.  ^o^  I used to be the type who was all about the "demon hunter" subgenre and Shonen anime.  But yesterday, I had to admit that maybe I'm not that anymore.  Yesterday, I had been trying to get myself to catch up on Dr. Stone and Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba, but instead I watched more Ascendance of a Bookworm and Carole & Tuesday.  ~.~;  For a few years now, I've found myself unable to watch anything outside of the iyashikei genre: moe shows, slice of life, "feel good" series, etc.  Hell, Natsume Yuujinchou is one of my top 3 favorite anime.  And now I can't stop watching Carole & Tuesday...but I can't get myself to watch more of a good show like Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba.  x~x;  I guess this means my anxiety has gotten really bad if I have to exclusively watch soothing series with no traumatic drama.  I recently heard a movie reviewer (reviewing Uncut Gems and) describing the Drama genre as supposed to make you tense and uncomfortable, and I was like, "Nope.  Not for me.  No wonder I can't watch dramas."  But I don't want people to mistake me as saying series like Carole & Tuesday and Natsume Yuujinchou are "shallow".  I cry at every episode of Natsume Yuujinchou.  Carole & Tuesday constantly move me inside.  It's just not the manufactued drama and glorification of meanspiritedness that seems to be on display in the Drama genre (for dramam series/movies outside of iyashikei category).
"She was born poor.  Her parents both died when she was young."  What?  I saw this clip subtitled before Netflix US was able to premier it.  And the translator said that Flora's parents died because they couldn't afford their hospital bills.  And that really struck me.  It's a real thing going on in the US.  So I'm sad that Netflix didn't have the same translation in their subtitles.
Oh, wow.  The dub translated it as "She lost both her parents at a young age, becuase they couldn't afford a hospital."
---------------------------------------------------
Carole & Tuesday ep17
Ertegun is so stupid.  LOL  He doesn't even realize that the one thing he has left is his name, and he could use that to make money.
I was so sure Aaron was the black_knight.  Well, at least we can ID the stalker by his fingernails.
LOL  They both thought they could get away with playing the same song.  LOL
You tell her, Spencer.
Woah.  It just turned into Perfect Blue.
6:51 PM 12/27/2019
Continuing the ep.
Well, you sure ARE going to die soon. I don't care if Ertegun has been mostly an antagonist during the first half of this series.  That Pinocchio needs to get pummeled.  lol  But don't kick him into the air!  Take him to jail!
-----------------------------------------------------
6:57 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep18
They're not going to try to interrogate Aaron?  Sounds like he has an idea who the stalker is.
They didn't ALREADY tell the police?!????
Hofner!  I like when Gus reconnects with his old friends.  Even if it is business. It's like a glimpse of these guys being rag-tag musicians back in the day, contrasted against them now, is kind of amusing.
Why is she interviewing him?  I thought Tuesday wanted to ask him what he's been covering about her mom.
I should look up Kyle's voice actor.  He sounds familiar.
Now that I think about it, Angela has been really preoccupied by this stalker stubplot.  Usually she's more of an antagonist towards Carole and Tuesday.
Well, the phone is bugged.  ...Or is it the car?
"Anti-Mars" terrorists?
Please don't tell me Jerry caused the exploison.
Well, I didn't expect Tao to get pulled into this political subplot.
I kind of wish I hadn't seen this clip of "Threads" beforehand.  Then I wouldn't have been reading for when Tuesday was crushing on Kyle.  Still, even while watching it, if it wasn't for Tuesday's blushing, I probably wouldn't have gotten the hint that she was forming a crush on him, because I didn't really see why anyone would crush on him for the few interactions they've had.  I mean, Tuesday finally talked about her mom and even fears that she's afraid to burden Carole with.  So maybe she confused "friendship-like therapy sessions" with a deep connection?
---------------------------------------------------------
7:33 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep19
I hope Alba City's infrasstructure is built for snow and whatever run-off water it might cause.
They don't have money for a big stage show!  LOL
I wonder if Tao and BlackKnight know each other from past programming industry.
Bilboard status!
Aw, don't call Ertigun a traitor...
I'm surprised Carole recognized Amer.  Boys' facial bone structures can change a lot as they grow.
Whenever Angela and Carole&Tuesday have their little stand-offs, it reminds me of a "battle anime".  lol
"If you tell us, maybe I'll stop calling you a traitor."  Oh, poor Roddy!  LOL
I actually really like this idea of Tao's programming skills, how the analytical psychology programs apply to both music and politics, all this AI, and hacking.  If they made a whole series about that, I'd be very interested.
Dun dun DUN!
Even though Ertigun is an idiot and can be a jerk, it still is sad to see someone sad.
I wonder if the Black Knight set up this hoodie guy---and there we go.
Oh!  So that's why that lcip I saw of Carole & Tuesday's song from this ep seemed like most of their electronics were out of comission.  I'm surprised Tao's microwave emitter didn't blow out Ertigun's electronic equipment too.  ----Wait.  So all their equipment wasn't blown out?  They chose to go low fi?  Good.  It's like what that Chinese cinema movie critic said: It's better to contrast a superstar vs trying to copy cat Bruce Lee; that's why Jackie Chan was able to stand out.  But it's really sweet that Carole & Tuesday prefaced their performance with "this is how we play at home for each other".  ;u;  Even if it's quiet, it's cool to see the crowd so perfectly captivated.
---------------------------------------------------------
7:58 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep20
Jeeze, this is getting serious.  As in uncomfortably plausable in real life.  Big companies being behind a political candidate, so they can manipulate laws to get away with whatever they want...  Yeek.
"Popcorn Bomb"?  ^o^
Wait a second...  I switched to Japanese dub so I could check out his seiyuu...  Is that...Keiji Fujiwara?  No way...  Wikipedia says Subaru Kimura.
I like that this series is discussing how rap is used as a protest tool.  I'm not that familiar with the genre, so I wasn't aware of how entrenched it is in politics until I saw some reports recently.  Apparently, there are even authoritarian governments trying to create their own rappers, in an attempt to drown out all the dissident popular rappers.
I know "I don't have time to be sad" is framed as some kind of "admirable" resilience, but it seems kind of sad to me.
It's funny how little characterization their band is given, other than their character design and a few short moments, but I guess this series doesn't have much time for that on top of everything else.
Well, that's a target on Amer's back.
Angela's adopted?
Maybe I haven't noted this yet, but it's really creative all the ways this series finds to save its budget. Like keeping Angela in essentially the same outfit as one of her previous standard costume designs, but just changing the color of her strapless top.  And they get away with it; it really does look very different, just by changing the color (and probably symolizes the darker turn her story is taking.)  It's impressive.  It's how studio Bones can afford all this rotoscoping and so much more animation that other series.
--------------------------------------------------------------
8:25 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep21
"Nevermind the serious darma going on in Angela's B plot.  Let's get on with our A plot."  LOL
Y'know there's a lot of anime where a girls says, "Will you go somewhere with me?"  And she's framed really cute.  Then cut, and there's supposed to be some kind of scene of them hanging out that the characters say isn't a date, but the direction/framing and the male protagonist treat like a date.  Is that phrase "Wanna go somewhere with me?" like a common phrase in Japanese used to ask someone out on a date?
HOw did Roddy make that promise without already knowing how much a natural Christmas tree costs?  lol
Wow. So many pills. This escalated quickly.
-------------------------------------------------------------
8:43 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep22
I"m so glad we have protagonists who can worry about their "rival".
"You don't have time to be worrying about other people."  But that's why I like Carole & Tuesday!  ;o;!
Now that I think about it, isn't it weird that they're meeting and having this complicated discussions with Crystal in a hotel lobby instead of a conference room?  But hey, if it saves studio Bones money to reuse the same set designs, rather than design a whole new conference room and hall to a conference room, then it's an impressive budget cutting technique.
They're so cute!  Jumping up and down and giggling.  ^o^
Look how flabergasted Carole looks while Tuesday sings "happy birthday" to her! ^o^ And Ziggy is so cute!  Cooing/singing along too.  ^o^
Professor Zeeman?  Who's that?
Whole scene stopped so Roddy can compliment their dresses...  Dawwwwww.... ^___^
Omg someone really studied US award ceremony monologues.  All the cheesey cringe and shout-outs to the audience and everything. O_o
OMG  The host is outsing Tuesday's relation to Valerie?!  Did peopel know that before???
-----------------------------------------------------------
9:04 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep23
Aw, Angela's #1 fan/manager is back.
Dang.  Skip-tachi getting arrested for just walking down the street.  I know I started off watching this show because "nothing really bad happens", but as these last few episodes come up, it's sure escalating into "real world problems" territory.  o_o  I can't even look at the "MICE" on the cops' backs and this whole subplot about refugees and immigration being used as a political talking point for an election more than as anything else, without thinking of real world problems right now.
Just a second ago, I thought it was really cool that Spencer was actually in Carole & Tuesday's apartment.  But now EVERYBODY'S there!  LOL
I like that they mentioned "scaring people into self-censorship" and not just banning freedom of speech.
At first, this speech sounded like unrealistic slice of life fluff.  "Saving the world through a song"?  Isn't that what won the war in Macross?  That level of unrealism.  But when Tuesday said, "If we can all sing freely, none of us will be silenced," then it all made sense as a unified protest song.  Like, "I dare you to arrest the entire industry".
"But a person who's not idealistic is nothing but a slave!" turned into "Although, if you don't defend what you believe in, then what's the use in living."  o.o
Well, I didn't expect Valerie to confront Jerry about the bombing.
Well, now we know why the first episodes introduced the Immigration Hall.
Wow.  there's a whole cyberpunk corporate espionage movie going on in the B plot.  lol
Oh..."Mother Earth"...I saw spoilers of that song before I actually watched this episode.  That was the one interpretation I didn't consider.
I love when the cuts go to Ziggy with the sleepy eyes.
I'm really glad they brought back Angela's #1 fan/manager to be there to listen to Angela's emotional breakdown.
I like that Tao and his AI exchanged some semblence of "human"/empathic concern in saying goodbye to each other.
Is Tao really going to disappear?
----------------------------------------------------------
9:34 PM 12/27/2019
Carole & Tuesday ep24
So Pr. Zeeman is a designer baby creator.
Oh, wow.  Tao and Angela are like siblings.
Don't people die by jumping off bridges?????? O~O!
LOL  Scream from the rooftops then "SHUT UP!"  LOL
The landlord finally spoke!  ^o^
Aw, their idol Crystal is fangirling over their other idol Flora.  And then Desmond appears to overshadow them all.  LOL
AW, they even brought back Carole's friend working security at the Immigration Hall.  ;u;
Finally watching this song in context.  ;U;
Well, if Shinichiro Watanabe wanted to make a series about the music industry and all its tropes, he did it.  It's got that "We Are the World" moment and everything.
The lyrics of "Mother" really mean something different after realizing they're protesting for freedom of speech.  o.O
9:56 PM 12/27/2019
And now, done.  That was Carole and Tuesday.  ^___^
