TVDU power scalers make no sense, especially when it comes to witch abilities. Especially because the lore is so messy. Like, everyone overrates their faves because the writing around individual magical abilities is so inconsistent, and it's so annoying.

Shrouded
Summary: Shadowheart can't quite place why holding Freya feels so familiar
Tw: descriptions of blood and maybe some dehumanization if you count it? Shart fans may know what I'm trying to reference with this.
Shadowheart's eyes fell upon the battered and bloody borrower. “Gods, what happened to you?”
“A rat chased me into some thorn bushes.” Freya forced a smile despite the clear pain she felt. “Would you mind helping me before Tav gets back and freaks out?”
Letting out a small chuckle, Shadowheart reached out to lay her hand down for Freya, she remained still as the young woman climbed onto her palm without a second thought. The sensation of feeling her squirm in her grasp seemed so familiar to Shadowheart, but she quickly shut off those thoughts to focus on the simple task. Pulling her closer, Shadowheart examined the cuts on Freya's arms, the blood that oozed certainly made her look worse, but the cleric's trained eyes could see how superficial they were; it wouldn't take much power to close the wounds with a simple healing word. Brushing a finger against her arm, Shadowheart murmured her spell, letting the cerulean glow seep into Freya's skin, closing the wounds.
“There, that should save you from Tav fussing over you.” Without thinking, Shadowheart let her fingertip pet the top of Freya's head, her blonde locks feeling soft beneath her touch.
“What was that for?” Freya asked, moving her head away from the digit.
Shadowheart's cheeks grew hot as she tried to wrack her brain for any answer. The motion felt as familiar as blinking for Shadowheart, but there was no good reason as to why she did that. “I…. see some blood in your hair, maybe we should get you cleaned off too.”
Freya didn't object as she was whisked away to the cleric's tent, setting down on the nearby table as Shadowheart got a rag and water to clean her off with. She didn't waste time gently scrubbing the blood away from Freya, damping her hair and face from all sorts of grime. Shadowheart felt as though she was in a trance, nothing else mattered except for helping a small creature get better.
“Okay, something's up with you.” Freya raised her eyebrow and backed away from Shadowheart.
“I'm not sure I understand.”
“You're not usually as handsy with me than others.” Freya kept her eyes on Shadowheart, staring at her with a quizzical look in her eyes.
“I thought I was helping.” Her voice grew soft, just how uncomfortable was she making Freya?
“I'm not upset by it.” She said. “I'm just surprised you're doting on me like so.”
“I can't exactly explain why I'm doing this stuff,” Shadowheart admitted, darkness protect her from the embarrassment she was feeling right now. “But I just had this familiar urge to clean and… pet you. I'm sorry.”
Freya ran a hand through her knotted hair as she was lost in thought. “Do you remember meeting other borrowers before me?”
That was not the response Shadowheart expected to hear, but it was certainly one that made her think. Before Freya, she never even knew of borrowers, but that didn't mean she was always ignorant of the tiny people. “If I did, Lady Shar had taken that memory away. Why?”
Freya shrugged. “I was just wondering if I was sparking a memory for you, just a silly theory, that's all.”
“Perhaps you are, you're quite impressionable.” Shadowheart responded with a chuckle. “So I wouldn't be surprised if you're bringing some memories of a borrower to light.”
Freya's cheeks immediately flushed to a pink color. “You think so?”
“I'm quite sure.” She flashed a gentle smile towards Freya as her mind wandered to the thoughts of who this mysterious borrower from her life was, and where they could be now? But those thoughts were silenced as the wound on her hand seethed with pain, Shadowheart cried out; no matter how many times she felt this pain before, she never got over the agony that coursed through her hand, but just when the pain reaching its peak, it was over in an instant.
“Gods, are you okay?” Freya gasped out.
“It's fine.” Shadowheart breathed out. “It's over now.”
“Are you sure? Your wound-!”
“I'm sure.” Shadowheart quickly interjected, she was never sure why Lady Shar would inflict such pain on her but she had a feeling it was a reminder to not continue to look into memories that were sealed away for a reason. “The pain is gone, for now, let's focus on cleaning you up… and getting you a drink.”
Freya met the cleric's playful glance with one of her own. “I can't disagree with that, seems we both could use one.”
“Then I'll go scrounge up the good wine.” She said standing to her full height. Maybe some wine will numb the curiosity that still lingered in the shadows of her mind, itching to be discovered, but Shadowheart knew better, all will be revealed when she completes her mission.

Find the Word
Thanks for the tag, @loopyhoopywrites! Going through Bride of Loki!
Hope
The moment she spoke, the young man jolted. He whirled around and blue eyes went wide as he grinned. “You’re awake!” Siv gave a stiff nod, not sure what else to say. “I hope you didn't hear me talk to myself for too long.” He held up a finger as he rose to his feet and started to walk. “Hang on. You must be thirsty.” He left the room.
Stop
Mabelle came to a stop and took a deep breath. Okay. She shouldn’t call for him. He never responded anyway. Instead, she stood and listened.
First
"A hostage from the war with the Vanir, back when Asgard was being built. The most moronic and pathetic god I've ever met. His sister Freya was the bright one." She took a sip of her drink, some of the honey liquid dripping off her chin and into the bath, adding the smell of burnt sugar to the s’mores scent. "Don't get me wrong, he's powerful. I just seriously doubt he'll be much help- he's a pushover. I wasn’t kidding when I said his sister was the bright one.” A hand with fingernails painted soft purple made a shooing motion. You should try to find Sigyn first, or Odin. Or maybe Thor if you have to. Just nobody like Freyr."
I'll tag, with no pressure, @radley-writes, @kittensartswriting, and @copper-dragon-in-disguise to find prison, risk, custody, religion, kindly.

I recommend Tenchi Muyo (the OVA, at least,) Tenchi Muyo GXP, Tenchi Muyo War on Geminar, Photon The Idiot Adventures, Kanokon (which MIGHT be one of the earliest examples), and I'm pretty sure both Monster Musume and Invaders of the Rokujouma are gonna end up being poly, but I could be wrong.
[WHEW this is a long one! I'm gonna put it under a readmore just to save some people's dashes! As always, thank you for the recommendations!!]
I've been meaning to try out Tenchi Muyo for so long! There was a time where there was a TV Tropes page called "Tenchi Ending" that was made for series that have poly endings. I think it's called something else now, cus I never found it again any time I looked. I've wanted to check it out ever since, it's just a little intimidating! There's so much Tenchi content! lol
I'll just include the synopsis for the OG Tenchi Muyo! Ryououki here:
Seventeen-year-old Tenchi Masaki grew up hearing stories about how his ancestor used a sword to seal a demon inside a cave seven hundred years ago. When curiosity gets the better of him, Tenchi goes to the cave and stumbles across the sword from the legend. Thinking that the story is nothing more than a fairy tale, he removes the blade and inadvertently releases the demon, who turns out to be a space pirate named Ryouko Hakubi. Furious about being trapped for so long, she attacks Tenchi, but he is able to repel her with the sword, awakening his inner power. After seeing this, Ryouko takes an interest in her unlikely savior and decides to crash at his place. As if it were a chain reaction, more alien women—Aeka Jurai Masaki, an uptight princess from the planet Jurai; Sasami, Aeka's sweet younger sister; Mihoshi Kuramitsu, a ditzy Galactic Police Officer; and Washuu Hakubi, a wisecracking genius—gradually come in contact with Tenchi and begin living with him. Through his encounters with these five women, Tenchi begins to learn more about his ancestry, newfound power, and the looming threat lurking beyond the skies.
Tumblr media
As for Photon, that's a new one to me. It's available on Crunchyroll in the US at least; everything I'm seeing about it suggests its pretty adult though! ANN lists "graphic depictions of sex, drug use and bloodshed" under its content warnings, so there's that. Admittedly, not what I expected based on the synopsis or cover lol. The protag looks so sad about it too!
Photon Earth is a young and gentle boy with superhuman strength and "Baka" (meaning "idiot" in Japanese) scribbled on his forehead (apparently by his troublemaking friend Aun Freya). One day, he finds himself engaged to the beautiful fugitive pilot Keyne Acqua after writing "baka" on her forehead. And that's the least of his worries as he must protect both Aun and Keyne from the evil Papacharino, who seeks to steal the secrets of "Aho" (another word for idiot) energy from Keyne's grandfather's ship.
Tumblr media
Kanokon, I have heard of! That's one I saw all over the place (especially in amvs) for a couple of years. I believe it's a shota series? Seems like the protag is the same age as the love interests, but he certainly LOOKS like a little baby lmao
Having spent most of his life in the country, Kouta is understandably nervous when he moves in with his grandma to attend a high school in the big city. He hoped to make a good impression, but having Chizuru, a beautiful fox spirit, hanging off his arm didn't seem to be the sort of image he wanted to have. She's not alone in her love for Kouta, either. Nozomu, a wolf spirit, as well as other youkai have their sights set on the hapless country boy.
Tumblr media
Monster Musume (Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou / Everyday Life with Monster Girls) is one I've seen a bit of, but a while back it got removed from like, every streaming service in the US for some reason! That's another one with a really reluctant protag as well lol (though it makes sense for him, poor guy!) I didn't get to far into it, but I know it's absolutely brimming with fanservice, for those who enjoy that. (Also...Miia is sooooo cute)
With his parents abroad, Kimihito Kurusu lived a quiet, unremarkable life alone until monster girls came crowding in! This alternate reality presents cutting-edge Japan, the first country to promote the integration of non-human species into society. After the incompetence of interspecies exchange coordinator Agent Smith leaves Kimihito as the homestay caretaker of a Lamia named Miia, the newly-minted "Darling" quickly attracts girls of various breeds, resulting in an ever-growing harem flush with eroticism and attraction. Unfortunately for him and the ladies, sexual interactions between species is forbidden by the Interspecies Exchange Act! The only loophole is through an experimental marriage provision. Kimihito's life becomes fraught with an abundance of creature-specific caveats and sensitive interspecies law as the passionate, affectionate, and lusty women hound his every move, seeking his romantic and sexual affections. With new species often appearing and events materializing out of thin air, where Kimihito and his harem go is anyone's guess!
Tumblr media
Invaders of the Rokujouma is another new one to me! The plot sounds fun; I'd absolutely take an apartment full of ghost girls if it means I don't have to pay rent! lmao
Due to young Koutarou's financial circumstances, he is forced to live in a small rokujouma (6-tatami apartment) on a budget of 5000 yen a month. On the plus side, he lives rent-free, but on the minus side, that's because room 106 of Corona Apartments is cursed. The ghost is a cute young girl and hijinks ensue when she tries to drive him out. Between the haunting, Koutarou's nosy neighbors, and a self-styled magical girls flying to the unneeded rescue, there's way too much for the impoverished young man to handle.

These have a lot of power and you can almost race a 12 year old but really it's made for like 8 to 10 it's starting to do it nowadays and have smaller kids that race was awesome they say they've never seen it like that so many kids had fun the other races are thinking this sucks and they're trying to get the bikes faster and they're working at it and had ideas and people sharing it kind of forced it out of them they may have been doing it on purpose and now they're going to do it a little more serious and have different classes and they're going to have actual races and really tired that has no air is going to win and the tubes are terrible there's a few other tricks the style is bike is fine they need shocks anybody with shocks is going to win and BJ tried to put them on and they wouldn't let them in the race it's true so he says what about letting the air out of the tires a little it'll take the battery down but it'll make you faster so let it out a little when you tested it and he's zooming around beating everybody and he tried to figure out the secret and he has a psych NASCAR it's like a NASCAR so they start examining it in a few of them figured it out and they're giving him hell that's proof that the shocks will make it work better they have very lightweight shocks you can use
Thor Freya
My husband's a smart man and BJ knows it
Hera
I was racing around beating everybody I heard they're looking at like NASA and I was pleased cuz that sucked now it's awesome was trying to think about it from a kid level and someone started was pretty smart little bit bigger I don't even helping you since and he says and since I got someone to let a little air out it looks good and so he knows about it but boy this is great these advances are real and it's more than just what we're talking about and the scientifically proven to help like motorcycles and things like that but getting a move on and we're going to start doing this balance bike for all the classes we know what you're saying it'll be good to know hear it to have you say it here
Bja I love it I'm like a child again and we're helping each other
WHEN I WAS A CHILD I RODE BICYCLES AND I LEARNED HOW TO RIDE A BICYCLE PRETTY WELL AND I DID THAT BEFORE THE DIRT BIKES I GOT USED TO HOW LIGHT IT WAS AND HOW TO HANDLE IT AND CHANGE GEARS AND USE THE BRAKES AND IT'S DIFFERENT THAN MY DIRT BIKE AND I KNOW THAT THEY'RE DIFFERENT MACHINES
-THEN I RODE DIRT BIKES AND OCCASIONALLY RACING BICYCLES FOR THE STREET AND I HAD MY BALANCE FROM THE DIRT BIKE AND I UNDERSTOOD HOW TO USE THE THROTTLE FROM THE DIRT BIKE
But riding both of them when I'm riding the ebike it was a lot easier I just said oh it's like a light motorcycle and it's a bicycle psychologically it is an e-bike to me it's not a hybrid or a combination it's a different type of bike but by learning on a bicycle and moving on to a dirt bike at a young age I got some sort of affinity to ride in the e-bike and I learned about sensing how the motor works and how the bicycle pedaling works with it and I did learn how to cycle pretty fast they didn't do it too long but that was with a touring bike which they weigh about 25 lb and they can go about 70 miles an hour good night average right I'll probably 30 miles an hour but I go pretty fast on it up to probably 45 and hold it there for a while my legs are big. But regular folk you know you're starting up high School and then this balance bike because of dirt bike those are not allowed anywhere these are just BMX bikes you're not really supposed to go in the public pathways but you can get away with messing around like I did with my dirt bike but it's quiet and people don't really mind it looks like an e-bike it's a great way to go out on trails and stuff too if they beat them up a little bit like if you took a thousand watt and you put a solid battery and you could probably go 35 miles an hour steady for a couple hours off-road
Zues Hera
Is valuable information and it's true we've done it to regulate ebikes and you put in the solid battery and you just keep going it's incredible the difference and it's more power the motor doesn't really burn out these motors are tough they're tougher than they need to be is a great experience and use the ebike off-road is fun certain he likes to really well design the black one that are friend has it's not the greatest you need to kind of strap the battery on better or find a way to and he said you have to probably make up a plate that that bolts onto cuz it's going to just move no matter what you do unless you do that and it's true you make the plate as wise the battery it has to be precise you're better off getting one that's designed to do it and that's what we're trying to do pretty soon they'll be Enduro e-bikes and boy is still a lot of fun you turn it on to throttle only and it's a small dirt bike and he was driving around out there 20 25 miles an hour and that's it up to 35 and 40 that was pretty much it and I was out there a little with a different bike I go about 35 most of the time up to about 60 and you can do that with these z-bikes and you can handle it I mean it they have shocks and everything but if you have to and you probably want to go 45 but if you have to you'll have it right now we don't have it and stems annoying with all these stupid devices with a teeny batteries it's a it's a menace
Solid battery works great and the new solid batteries that are not as expensive as the old ones there probably another like $350 instead of the $250 regular battery it's amazing battery it really works well
Bja
This is a wonderful way to learn how to ride and it's true you'd be mixing the e-bike bicycle portion with the throttle like a dirt bike but it's really what you're going to get with an e-bike and it's different and you have to learn it the power is different it's real slow and smooth it doesn't compensate for anything and you have to carefully you doing you can't pull out of stuff and the way the bike the attitude of the bike is different too there's hardly any centripetal force and if someone's in a bicycle and he had a little bit of time with the motorcycle at first and he had to slow down for turning quite a bit it's kind of a sign you're riding a bicycle but this thing is going to teach you how to ride a motorcycle it'll teach you how to write an e-bike a moped and a bicycle all at the same time and that's why it's towed it as is being a tool to teach it's really super light the motorcycle or a dirt bike and it's a lot of fun there are a lot of fun it's a challenge to drive them to ride them that it's really challenged you need shocks on those all of them are they going to get hurt it's real hard to hold the line but boy do they have fun and he's right this is a great for entertainment centers and areas and you put training wheels on them and kids will love it they go nuts those little cars are selling globally they put little seats on them and their kids go out all day long with extra gas and they go hunting for squirrels all sorts of crazy stuff for bugs to come back with a huge thing of bugs for their lizard I mean there they're insane with them and it's a little posse like a gang and they also make car tops for them and they're almost demanding them to be open but have the short windshield cuz they want to be able to get in and out quick and it's not too hard you want to have a door though they said that's nice and some people want to t-top for safety it's just as easy and the lady should think about that it's in the middle and you don't go from the other side and you can grab the peacock and drop down in even if it's a one-seater so now they're getting excited and he says that one they can make a little bigger I can fit two two kids and the one with the aggressive tires and they did it and little kids can drive it's really nice and they move the steering mechanism and it's real easy so there going ahead with it and they are starting their program to make these little cars and he bikes and more and they have a ways to go I'm saying that John remillard just had made them but they have to check and that's what they're doing so there's a steady Exodus now and they're all the ways to tell but really it's just interpolation and it makes people crazy almost you just have to go out there and find out. What our son and daughter know is they had about 5 months to build engines for theirs and that's the Mac proper and the foreigners and that's about right for smaller Stone chips those would be the ones surrounding the city
Thor Freya
Olympus
What a joy to see his face he knows that they're not really kids with the ACT almost like children and say children stuff and had a kid time they were having fun and I'll tell you that he had a lot of fun cuz it's the right class and the right bike and they said you squeeze this a little so they want to make the right size bikes and stuff and it started going nuts on it and telling them so they went and said $200 for the five to six 100 for three to four and the guys started doing it and they laid it out and it's going to be awesome the bikes get bigger and our son will probably have one there they'll be cheaper oh that's a big point... I mean my husband damn it
THE BALANCE BIKE AT HARLEY-DAVIDSON IS ONLY $500 BUT A BALANCED BIKE THE SIZE FOR MY HUSBAND WOULD BE ABOUT $600 THERE'S NOTHING TO IT THERE'S NO COMPUTER THERE'S REALLY NOT MUCH OF A CONTROLLER IT'S JUST A BATTERY A MOTOR AND A BIKE AND THEY'RE JUST LIKE HIS AND IT WOULD BE FASTER AND I HAVE A SHOT IN THE REAR AND BOY WOULD IT BE FUN OFF-ROAD ONLY
Hera
Yes it would
And for you would be great cuz you don't like the dirt bike you can get away from you and it's powerful and noisy and if you get caught in it you're going to get really banged up this thing is cheap light inexpensive can you call about the same speed and people don't call the cops all the time because you're making noise in the woods with motors and it's really nice
Zues Hera
You like the answers in his true these things will be a hit you can't go off roading anymore everyone complains but you can go out there with your e-bike it just sucks so you take the e-bike components off and it's lighter you take the computer off you put a bigger battery that works pretty good but you need to at least 1,000 more like 1500 that sun would like a 2000 or 3,000 w cuz he's 250 lb you take your e-bike and you put a foot pegs in the middle it works out pretty good and you change the seat feel like a Motocross seat and they sell them and he might do it in other words he can take it apart and put it back together if you had to really have to change it all around so he'd have to probably buy one but really it's a huge advantage over regular motorcycle on the cost is huge it's like $1,000 for one for a son and she was thinking a regular one but the he needs a bigger motor for real and then it would be like five or six grand for a dirt bike and the theme or a car you can put this on a rack on the back of a car or the top of a car or inside the car does it folds or the rear wheel or the actually front wheel comes off I mean there's a huge number of ways to do this with a bike that does this

Connor flinched, Randall stood in the doorway. His eyes meeting Rigelus, as the other male sighed and dissapered.
Randall turned, flying out the window, finding Rigelus in the meadow.
"Protect her."
Randall rose an eyebrow stalking closer. The wind pulling at their clothes.
"What do you think Hawke and I do?"
Rigelus gritted his teeth, stepping backward as Hawke and he began to pen him in. Hawke looked to him, raising an eyebrow.
"Bryce has agreed to Connor advances to keep the wolves loyal to Poppy."
Randall stiffened, Rigelus hands clenched at his sides. He turned to Hawke.
"Why are you telling me this Hawke?"
"What's your secret?"
Randall asked picking up Hawke's thread. They knew Rigelus probably better than any of the others did. Rigelus gazed past Randall, the wolves fanning out, Bryce speaking with Connor and the way he gripped her elbow.
Rigelus looked to them, his hands lowered to his sides. Tears filled his eyes and he watched her pull away and stalk toward them. They were still yards away, enough time for him to speak.
"I Dreamed of her. Well I dreamed of a female with a specific mark on her shoulder..."
Randall glanced back to Bryce, her sisters falling in step with her.
Stall her Ember.
Randall looked back to Rigelus.
"Does she?"
Rigelus just smiled, a heartbreaking smile.
"Of course she does."
Hawke stepped closer.
"Create a base for us in Day. The wolves are growing too powerful. They are begining to push Randall and I away from them. We'll get the girls out."
Rigelus stared before he sneered, they'd gotten close enough to hear. Randall lunged, Rigelus magic aimed for his leg.
Make it believable.
Hawke dove for Randall as Rigelus dissapered.
He slammed onto the ground, winded. He stiffened feeling the wolves here too. But he ignored their stares, looking to Estelle.
"I need to speak to you and your mother. It's urgent."
------
Leesan turned from the window, walking to closet and the secret room he'd fashioned. He lit the candle, feeding his blood to the mirror.
It flared, Haron glanced up from his work. Blue-silver eyes dancing in the dim light. They narrowed at Leesan.
"You aren't due for a checkin what happened?"
"Connor lost Rigelus, I think he's going to pull Day toward this war."
Haron frowned and turned away to speak to someone else. He turned back to Leesan, shuffling papers.
"Stall. Does Connor still hold Bryce?"
"Yes."
Haron nodded and exhaled. His eyes glittered.
"We just need to be patience, watch the Daglan. Surely his kin won't just trust him implicitly? Freya's work with Eosphorous should have seen to that. Anything else?"
Leesan bit his lip and looked past him.
"Is Jona on call? Or no?"
Haron rolled his eyes and pushed away from his bench. He left and came back holding a little girl.
"Leesan!"
Leesan beamed and waved.
"I've stockpiled sweets for you!"
Haron scoffed and knelt to meet his eyes in the mirror.
"Give some to Dante. We don't need sweets."
Jona began to protest but Leesan cut it. He closed the door, resealing it and stepping back to through the closet. He turned from his clothes as the door opened.
"Was that Rigelus in the courtyard? What is he doing here?"
Estelle knew, he'd never hid what he was from her. But...would she understand? Would she agree to mate him if she understood exactly the state his kin were in?
They didn't have palaces like this.
They didn't have plates of gold and walkways made of silver and crystal.
What would his people do if they could live like this?
Would they finally have won their home?
"Jona says hi by the way."
//Dusk Verse//
How could Eosphorous betray him so? How could she destroy him the way she did?
Why did she do that?
He saw Sarai's face again, blurred through his own tesrs. The knife at his neck he'd forgotten.
Eosphorous had demanded he be let to leave and she'd relented when he'd asked as well.
He remembered the memory now, the one he must have hidden and buried deep.
The way Sarai has brushed his tears away and cupped his face.
"You'll always have a home here Rigelus. Never forget that."
Rigelus slammed his magic outward overloading the wards till they shattered.
He met Bryce's eyes, as the doors slammed open. Did she understand Danika and Connor were using her in different ways?
Did she understand what they were doing to her?
The metal bars froze, shattered outward. They slammed around her, pushing the others away. Her hands clenched, meeting his eyes.
"Rigelus. You think Eosphorous will take you back? You pathetic peice of -"
He stepped toward her, cupping her cheek. He ignored the way Connor snarled at him. The ice pinning him back. His fingers slid down her cheek to her neck, fingers grazing her shoulder.
His voice was low, quiet.
"People who love you don't try to keep you Bryce. I understand that, I see that now. Eosphorous never loved me, she used me. How many marks have they given you that your sisters don't see?"
He stepped back holding his hand out to her.
"Come with me."
He would save himself, he would always save himself. But maybe he could save her too.
Another cage for someone who thought they owed her. Her eyes regarded the bars, the way she was kept away from the ones she had called friends at this time.
Did he think that by whispering some pretty words and trying to open her eyes was really going to win her over? He had made his choice all those years again and had left her. Left, hurt, abandoned.
Her jaw tightened as she looked to his hand, his question hung in the air for a few moments.
“And would should I trust you? You already turn your back on me, you have made your marks,” she hissed as she began to pace, eyeing any opening that he gave her. “Is it not better to stay with the devil you know than the devil you don’t?”

One-Shot: Male Reader Is Hope's Fraternal Twin Brother, And Is Ignored By The Mikaelsons. Because He Is Born Human( He Isn't But His True Nature Didn't Awake Yet).
It Left Him Filled Wit Loneliness, And Anger At His Family, And Twin. One Day, While Walking In The Woods Getting Home He Gets Attacked By A Vampire, And It Causes Him To Awake His True Nature As A Hellhound.
He Kills The Vampire, And It Leaves Him With Shock That He Isn't Human, And Is Happy He's Not Vulnerable.
So Y/n Gets Home, And The Mikealsons Aren't Home, Y/n Decides To Leave And Train Himself To His Full Potential.
Freya And Hope Can't Track Him Down Due To Y/n Being Immune To Anything Witch Related.
Tumblr media
Yo dudes Imma make this so sad just angst though and though. I also did a bit of mixing of Teen Wolf's Hellhound and some of my own ideas.
Warnings: Heavy angst
Human was what Y/N was unlike his younger twin Hope who was in all sense all powerful. Ever since their birth Y/N was over shadowed by Hope as he didn't understand when it happen but his family began to ignore him and favor Hope. As the once proud Klaus showing off his first born son was now ignored his son and all his attention was on Hope.
"Not now Y/N, Hope needs my help." Was what Y/N heard over the years as he got older, now while Hope took after Hayley. Y/N was more like their father than anyone care to notice as the boy loved art like his father, had mostly Klaus's features but more dangerously Y/N inherited Klaus's temper something Marcel learned the hard.
"Y/N is only human Marcel. He can't harm you." Rebekah told the vampire after Marcel had told her that the boy had stabbed him the throat with a butter knife. At age seventeen now Y/N was used to being alone and having anger for his family how they seemly pretend he wasn't a Mikaelson.
"Where ya going kiddo?" Marcel asked seeing the teen putting on his shoes and had his backpack with him. Y/N looked at the vampire with a glare as Marcel was used to the anger in the boys eyes and mentally cursed the Mikaelsons for not keeping an eye on boy as there was nothing more dangerous than an angry Mikaelson with nothing to lose.
"Why would you care? Do yourself a favor and stop caring for the useless Mikaelson." Y/N tells Marcel anger bleeding though his words as he left the compound and headed for the woods. The woods was where Y/N spent most of his time to draw or to let his anger out but like his father he still held onto it. Y/N sat drawing weird circles that he had been seeing in his dreams lately then got up seeing it was getting dark and as he walked home he was attacked by two vampires.
"Man Klaus is going to pay. And what better way than to drain his kid and leaving the body on his door step."
"Yeah I guess he should have kept a better eye on the weakling." The vampire holding Y/N said and a flood of anger filled Y/N just as the vampire sank his fangs into the boy's neck when there was a sudden burning. The vampire let the boy go pushing roughly as he screamed and Y/N watch the vampire burst into flames.
"What do you do to my friend brat." Vampire two growled grabbing Y/N by his throat and the boy growled deeply as his eyes flashed red. The anger of years being ignored and loneliness was let loose as Y/N tore the heart from the vampire's chest. As things calmed down Y/N was surprised and stared as his hands as happiness bubbled in his chest as he realized he wasn't useless and maybe his family would care for him again.
"Dad! Mom!" Y/N shouted running into the compound with a grin that fell as he noticed he could hear everything but his family. Y/N found they left him so he made up his mind grabbing a bigger backpack his packed his things and didn't bother to leave a note.
"Fine I'll leave and get stronger without them if they don't want me then fine." Y/N growled as he left his childhood home not looking back. Two months, it took two months for someone in the family to notice that Y/N wasn't around but they brushed it off as the human boy was with Marcel but no he was in the mountains of Montana with an older man that Y/N ran into his week away from home. The man whose name was Alias, was an Hellhound that was almost as old as the boy's family and Alias took the boy in trained him to control his hound form and hellfire which when Y/N learned he could do that the boy was excited.
"Calm yourself pup." Alias told him as he had the boy sit in front of a fire the first day of training. At first Alias was annoyed with Y/N at first but the boy grew on him and the older Hellhound became a father figure to Y/N.
"Hey Al why are in the mountains?" Y/N asked following the man.
"Going to train you in the cold so you could control molten lava veins. From there we are going to wake your full potential, pup."
"Why the cold?"
"Can't risk you burning yourself until you get control." Alias tells Y/N as they came up to a cabin. While in New Orleans Hope and Freya was trying to find the older twin with a locater spell but so far they came up with nothing.
"Where could he be Elijah?" Klaus growled pacing angry that his first born was gone. Elijah watched Klaus closely while Kol called Davina to come help.
"I understand you are upset Niklaus but we will find the boy." Elijah said as Hayley came in crossing her arms.
"The wolves lost his scent just out of the city." Hayley said getting everyone's attention as they hoped they could find the boy soon. A year passed and Y/N had unlocked his full potential and had bested Alias many times in training. But sadly the boy's father figure had passed and Alias had passed his family Crest to the boy asking him to spead his ashes in New Orleans.
"Don't worry about me, pup. You'll fine as you are strong." Alias told Y/N the night he passed as their foreheads touched and in his honor Y/N howled and swore he hear othe Hellhounds howled too. Y/N walked though the streets of New Orleans carrying the urn holding Alias's ashes while on his way home Y/N had ran into other Hellhounds apologize for his lost and if he needed anything they were happy to help.
"Y/N?" Y/N heard Hope's voice and he turned saw his sister who shocked to see him. Y/N was no long thin and kinda scrawny, he was now lean with muscles with five a clock shadow on his nice jaw line.
"Hope." Y/N said his tone not welcoming surprising Hope as she eyes looked at the urn in his arms. Someone called out for Hope making her turn to see who it was then looked back to find Y/N gone and pulled out her phone calling Hayley.
"Mom, I found Y/N."
"May you find peace dad." Y/N said speading Alias's ashes in the bayou at a cabin the old hound had and left to Y/N.
"Here I thought I was your father?" Klaus said smirking stepping out from the tree line and Y/N looked over his shoulder seeing his father.
"You stopped being my father when I turned six." Y/N said looking back out at the lake as Klaus frowned watching his son. There was something was different about his son and Klaus couldn't put his finger on it but he was going to find out. Y/N was annoyed that suddenly his family would come out to see him while just shut them out and they still didn't know he was a Hellhound.
"How you have fallen hybrid. Your son hates you and now your dau ......." the vampire was cut off by a huge black hound jumped on his chest growling as it tore his thoat out. The hound had glowing orange eyes as it growled killing the rest of the vampires saving Hope and Klaus.
"Is it a wolf, dad?" Hope asked watching the hound look back at them as something about it was haunting.
"No. It is bigger than a wolf." Klaus said as it ran off and both followed it to find it was Y/N come morning.
"Fuck." Y/N muttered rolling his sore shoulders as he still wasn't used to shifting at night going inside to take a cold shower to cool down. Y/N sat down studying a few old books he gotten on his travels as his door opened and Klaus walked in with Elijah and Hayley following.
"Yes please come in Klaus." Y/N said annoyed not looking up from his book.
"You have failed to me you are a Hellhound."
"Because it was none of your business. I made it clear I want nothing to do with any of you."
"Then why come home?"
"If you must know Hayley, I am carrying after my father as protector." Y/N told Hayley there was anger in his voice as Elijah saw the anger in the young Hellhound's eyes that reminded the older Original of Klaus.
"Protector?"
"Yeah, now If you excuse me I got work to do." Y/N said walking out leaving them as they realize they had years of anger and loneliness to undo from the young man unsure if Y/N will ever forgive the family.

Sara was quick to wipe away his tears, stroking over his cheek gently with her thumb. "You didn't fail me. I know that... I know that i said that you should have made sure but we had no idea what Freya was showing the other. The ice wall was too high for us to climb so how would you have gotten to me?" Her voice was soft, though there was a slight crack in the middle of her sentence. Neither of them could have made it up and over quick enough, even though they were both skilled huntsman. Not when they were also being attacked by their own siblings.
"She did, but you can't blame yourself for that Eric, otherwise it will drive you mad," she continued. "You thought that I was dead, please don't blame yourself for what she did..." Her heart broke to see him so sad, to hear him blame himself for all that had happened.
Her fingers combed through his hair gently as he rested his head on her shoulder. "Eric... I don't think she would say you failed her. You protected her as best you could. Freya and her sister.... they're powerful witches, there is only so much we can do to protect ourselves from them," she soothed, "but she's alive because of you..." She smiled softly as he told her that he never stopped loving her. "I love you too Eric..."

Their first kiss had been somewhat magical. The second the same. But the one that seemed to make Sara feel like she was walking on air was the one that came after years of believing he was gone. Yes, they had had their arguments over the past few days, yes there was still a piece of her that wanted to hate him. But the moment that their lips met, when they were pressed against each other again, that was like Heaven. She kissed him slowly to begin with, testing the waters before letting it all go. Oh how she had missed him and the way he made her feel seen, feel loved.

゚・ 🌌ރ ੈ♡‧₊˚🎲 *ૢ✧ ۪ ♟️ ° 。
YOU WERE ENTERING Beacon Hills while looking at the forest around you which looked spooky, possibly because it was night or they were infested with those human dogs. Possibly both. You still remember the faces of Niklaus, Kol and Elijah knowing that you would live here. You think it was the best thing in the world, but you get it. That your sister, the youngest of the Mikaelson clan, decides to move alone, with no one from her family nearby and in a "city" full of dogs. You would also worry.
It began to be heard on the radio lurk from the neighborhood to which you began to hum it. This century was very different: 16-year-olds look like 18 or 19, their type of clothing... You did not complain, it is better than the clothes of before.
Six teens and two adults appeared out of nowhere to which you stopped. You got out of the car and they watched you from head to toe. One in particular made your blood run cold. Derek Hale...
You sighed and spoke.
"Forgiveness! Are you okay?" You asked, and the bearded one came up to you.
"What are you doing here?" He asks and you start to breathe. Human dogs have to hear it and feel it so they know that you are not something supernatural. Speaking of that title, it's the best series and more daddy Dean. You pulled myself out of your thoughts and looked from left to right to fix your gaze on the dark haired man.
"Me?" He nodded. "Sorry. Do I know you?"
"Don't act, Mikaelson," he snap at and Peter comes closer to both of you. The Good Peter, he was more your brother than the ones you have, well not so much like that but he was like a brother.
"I think you're wrong" you say to see him in the eyes. "My name is not like that" you say playing stupid, well! When you don't? Coming here you thought that Derek and Peter would leave and more because of what happened to his sister who did not doubt that Peter would kill her. But just in case you knew you would have to change your first and last name.
"It's not a name," says the older of the two raising an eyebrow. "What's your name?" He ask.
"Diane Jones" you say pretending to be a little scared. You saw how Derek would glare at you deadly and the teens stared at the scene in confusion. Wow! The redhead's shoes were fantastic.
"What brings you to Beacon Hills?" Asked Peter.
"I came to live here" you respond.
"Alone?" Said the one with black hair, super furious. He looked sexier like that. "Without your parents?"
"Excuse me, but I don't have to tell you anything" You walked back and Derek took your arm tightly and the children approached looking worried.
"You won't leave until you answer." Peter put his hand on Derek's shoulder with a "calm down" look
"And your parents?" He asks calmly.
"I do not have. I'm an orphan" you say looking at your feet. Seriously, you deserve an Oscar for best actress.
"How did you get here?" Peter still asked.
"My uncles sent me here to study and not cause problems" you say looking at Peter.
"Don't li-" Derek says to be interrupted.
"It's not her" said Peter. "Listen" as you said, breathing helps and more if it is accelerated when you feel threatened.
"Can I go?" You asked.
"Yes" Peter says. You walked to your car and your turned it on to continue on your way, when you saw that you were far away you start to laugh. Derek's faces and the wolf children, the banshee, and the humans were gold.
You arrived at your new home. You smiled when you saw that it was normal, not big and not too small. A normal house. It was supposed to be furnished since yesterday. You got out of your car and opened to see the living room, you closed the door and walked into the kitchen and up the stairs. You went into all the rooms and they were perfect and yours was much more.
It was big, being a Mikaelson it couldn't be small. You were already beginning to miss them. Well not all. Elijah and Rebekah's overproduction were suffocating. Also you will no longer be listening "little Klaus" or "little Kol" You're not like them, you just like to have fun. And you like being with them more. Kol and you, hunted and had fun at parties and flirting with people. Klaus gave you life lessons. You were amused by his stories and how could he be so... him. Of your seven siblings, you only loved Kol and Klaus, of course you had your differences: you were friends with Katherine and Klaus hates her, you love the Salvatore brothers with your life and they detest them, even more. You lay down on the bed and you smiled a smile that only bring problems.

Isaac Lahey Pov
"It was her," Derek says, somehow I felt concern and more to see how he reacted when he saw the girl as our age.
"Who is she?" Scott ask.
"Y/N Mikaelson" Peter said calmly.
"And she is...?" Stiles question them.
"She is one of the Originals and Derek's great love," Peter replies.
"Original of what?" Lydia ask.
"From the Original Vampires," Derek says angrily.
"They exist?" Almost all of us say at the same time.
"Yes. And between them the two hybrid of Vampire and werewolf" explains Peter.
"What is a hybrid?" Allison ask to which Stiles responds.
"Hybrids are a supernatural cross between two or more different species. The term is commonly used to describe a werewolf turned vampire, as they were the first type of hybrid introduced to the world. However, since the creation of the werewolf-vampire hybrids, there have been other hybrids of other races in the universe, such as siphons turned into witch-vampire hybrids, werewolf-witch hybrids, among others" he says to finish.
"How do you know that?" Asks Scott.
"I read it when I was trying to find out what you were, but I thought the vampire thing was a lie," Stiles responds.
"A hybrid is more lethal than any werewolf or vampire" Says Derek. "Nature does not tolerate such an imbalance of power. Thus, the warlocks, the servants of nature, saw to it that the wolfish side of Klaus and Y/N Mikaelson are asleep. But they are still a danger.
"Who are the Mikaelsons?" I ask.
"The Mikaelson family is a powerful family whose line goes back at least to the Kingdom of Norway in the late 10th century with Mikael and Esther, a wealthy landowner and a Viking warrior, and a housewife and a witch, respectively. In the early 11th century, the family was deadly until the loss of Esther and Mikael's seventh child, Henrik to a werewolf attack that spurred them to use Esther's magic to turn Mikael and the rest of their living children into the The world's first vampires, from whom all Vampires are descended from the original vampires, are known as the most powerful supernatural beings in the world, but the Mikaelson family is also known to have members who are also witches and hybrids. Among them are two hybrids: Klaus and Y/N. In total the Mikaelsons are eight; Mikael, the father, Esther, the mother, Freya, The first daughter which is only a witch and does not belong to the original lineage, Finn, The second son, Elijah, the third son, Klaus, the fourth son which is the hybrid and is not the son of Mikael but bears his last name, Kol, the fifth son, Rebekah, the sixth daughter, Y/N, the seventh daughter which is not the daughter of Mikael and the last, Henrik, the eighth son. Of these eight only are alive: Freya, Elijah, Klaus, Kol, Rebekah and Y/N" Derek answers.
''They wasted no time," Stiles says.
"Neither is Esther. Children of different parents" I say smiling. "But how did "first hybrids" happen?
"When Klaus and Y/N first killed after being turned into vampires, they triggered their werewolf gene, which finally reveals the truth of their true paternity to their family: Klaus and Y/N were not Mikael's children but the boss's children of her village werewolf clan, with whom Esther had an affair. Once Mikael learned of Esther's infidelity and realized that her lover's pack were the werewolves who killed Henrik, Mikael hunted down and killed Klaus and Y/N's father and his entire family, igniting a war. Between vampires and werewolves that still exists. Shortly after the Mikaelsons became vampires and learned of Klaus and Y/N werewolves' legacy, Esther was forced to curse Klaus and Y/N to make their werewolf natures lie dormant, so that they didn't bother yet. More to nature by possessing so much power. However, Klaus and Y/N felt betrayed by this punishment, and in retaliation, Klaus murdered his mother and framed Mikael for the act. Understood?" Peter asks and I nod.
"I'm more than sure it's her!" Derek exclaims.
"It has to be her, if you questioned her or just stopped...-Lydia says to be interrupted by Peter.
"It's her Doppelgänger..."

You got out of the tub while you were dripping to grab the towel and start drying off. Tomorrow would be your first day in high school, you had never attended one and according to Caroline and Stefan they are very good, also Rebekah go into one and she looks older than you. You wrapped the towel around your body and left the bathroom to go to your room. You dropped the towel while you felt the air all over your body, you took off your underwear from the wardrobe and then put on a loose shirt and some pajama shorts. You go down to the kitchen for some whiskey and you go back upstairs. You arranged your things for tomorrow and left them arranged so that you only had to go...

I should go sleep but there's apparently an itch only Servamp can scratch right now so I'll tend to that first, and y'all have to hear me ramble. Also, spoilers. And rambly, it's past midnight. I'd out a read more but, I'm on my phone, sorry.
I really, really wonder who put Kuro there in the alley. Is it someone we know? Someone we have yet to meet?
The most immediate guess would be Tsubaki, but I highly doubt that. He is trying to revive Sensei, yes, but I don't think he's been part of the whole plan; he seemed to devastated when Kuro killed Sensei, and in general, his whole demeanor doesn't scream "I am in on all of this" to me. He wants Sensei back, and also he's angry af that Sensei died in the first place. Additionally, if Tsubaki had known about Mahiru's planned involvement, he'd have informed Sakuya to stay away from Mahiru.
Like, Tsubaki's Whole Thing is Loyalty and Not Betraying His Subclass. Which explains his anger at Kuro (for betraying the Creator alongside just killing him), but more importantly, he would not have allowed Sakuya to get hurt like that. He would've made sure none of his Subclass befriend Mahiru.
So, Tsubakyun is out. So are Freya, Ildio, and Hyde, because they voted against killing Sensei, which would have foiled the whole plan. Lily is also out, or else he wouldn't have been Broken like this, because he would've worked with Tsubaki in general. Jeje... Is technically on Tsubaki's side right now, but he doesn't seem to enjoy it much, so I'm gonna go ahead an claim it's not him, either; he's just going along with Mikuni (who is out because he's less than 100 years old, and because I suspect he only chose to join Tsubaki later on, bc otherwise he wouldn't have made Jeje kill a Melancholy Subclass). Gear was waiting for Kuro, so he's out, too.
It could be someone new, but considering how close we are to the presumably final showdown against Tsubaki, it'd feel a little late to introduce someone that important completely new. Unless, I guess, the plot has Tsubaki succeed at least partially, so that Sensei is at least somewhat revived and he takes the Main Villain position, but even then... Eh.
Which leaves us two main options.
1) Hugh. He's the only Servamp with no clear "alibi", and a lot of his stuff was planned from the start, hence the lack of contract with Tetsu (which, Hugh, bro, you SENT THAT KID INTO BATTLE AS A NORMAL ASS HUMAN!). Plus, while the rest of the Yes-Group wasn't too thrilled about being a vampire (Jeje wanted Kuro to KILL him, Lily iirc also said he didn't ask to be saved in an earlier flashback, and Kuro grieved his village and had no control over his powers), Hugh seemed pretty chill about it. Though he really SHOULD have reason to have issues - Gear says things "stabilized around the third Servamp" (and Jeje clearly still has problems, even though I still think that Mikuni's mom was lying about being influenced by Jeje without even having a contract, his former Eves are a different matter), so considering Kuro and Jeje, Hugh should have Issues, too (maybe that's another reason to not form a real contract). So maybe Sensei offered Hugh a way to Solve those issues in exchange for Hugh playing along with the plan. The hands didn't look like Hugh's, but he has more than enough Subclass that could've put the kitty there.
b) A human family. Someone's ancestor could've made a deal with Sensei, kitty Kuro would've been passed down through the generations, until someone could place Kuro there. Probably someone from C3, that is a family business for most people anyway, and well, the organization founded by Sensei asking the Servamps to kill Sensei, would just make sense if other parts of the plan were also in their hands. Then the question is just which family. We can probably exclude the main-ish ones (Tsurugi's, Yumi's, Jun's, Shuuhei's). I don't remember much of C3, really gotta reread (and get my heart ripped out again...), but I'd also say Toma's family is not involved, there's enough going in without that, despite Toma's bonus plan.
But well, excluding some doesn't answer the question if who it could be. Sendagayas, maybe? Indirect ties to C3, and it'd explain why Hugh ended up there instead of anywhere else, but I honestly can't imagine Tetsu's parents to be involved there. I forgot how much we know about Izuna's family outside if her and Shuuhei being childhood friends, I think, so I guess they'd be an option - Not Izuna herself, of course, but maybe a parent or an older sibling. Would also help getting her and Freya back into the story, Tanaka Strike! (I miss my wolf lady)
Idk I'm just throwing thoughts at Tumblr to see if they're al dente, i have no idea which is more likely.

Whispered Truths
Chapter 1 chapter 2 chapter 3 chapter 4 chapter 5 chapter 6
Summary: The group descends down in the cave to fight the hag, Freya is confronted with her reality
Tw: Violence, dehumanizing language, murder/attempted murder, fearplay dismemberment
The descent down the dark cave made the hairs on Freya's neck stand on end, every shadow felt like a monster was lurking within, watching the group with hungry eyes. A putrid smell lingered in the air, Freya had to hold back a gag, she didn't want to give Tav any reason to believe she couldn't do this, but she was beginning to have doubts. When Freya was determined to go on this mission of hers, she thought maybe there was a pack of gnolls or a bunch of bandits there, but not a hag!
She closely leaned into Tav's neck. “Have you ever faced a hag before?”
“Not too long ago, actually.” Tav replied. “We dealt with a hag that was trying to take a pregnant woman's baby in exchange to bring her husband back from the dead.”
“I still think we should have taken the boon instead.” Astarion grumbled.
“There's no use whining about it now.” Shadowheart rolled her eyes.
“I'm not complaining, I'm merely suggesting that if this hag gives us a bargain, we consider her offer this time.”
Freya scoffed, of course he would want to take the side of a hag, if it wasn't for Tav, he would likely keep walking and not care that people are suffering because a hag lived nearby.
“Oh come now, fangs; you don't mean that.” Karlach chuckled. “You know doing the right thing is better in the end.”
“Oh virtuous Karlach,” Astarion let out a sigh. “Getting a hold of any sort of power is better in the end.”
“In my defense, I did try to intimidate her into giving us the girl and the boon.” Tav jumped in. “But it's not always easy to come off as threatening when you're short.”
A chuckle slipped out of Freya's lips, which prompted a playful spark in Tav's eyes. “I see no one thinks I'm intimidating.”
“I just wish I was there to see that for myself.”
“Perhaps, you'll get a chance this time.” They let out a soft laugh. “Or you could help me with the intimidation factor?”
“Grand idea,” Freya smiled and rolled her eyes. “But I think I'll leave the hag to you guys.”
Karlach marched alongside Tav, staring down at Freya with a wide grin. “Aww, come on Freya, I'm sure you could get a couple licks in with that little peashooter!”
“Is that so?”
Karlach gave an eager nod. “Yeah, you shoot her in the eye then once she's blinded, I'll smash her head in!”
As gruesome as the barbarian's description was, Freya couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm. It was strange to hear the biggest and strongest member hyping up a small borrower, but Freya enjoyed the ego boost.
“I must say, that sounds like a solid plan.” Shadowheart said.
Tav laughed along with the banter but the muscles in their neck tensed up. “Let's just keep you out of the hag's reach if you plan on doing that.”
“I'm not going to argue with that.” Freya reassured, she glanced around the cave taking in the foliage that grew along the rocky walls, and a familiar plant caught Freya's eye. “Is that…?” She left off the halfling's shoulder and onto a stable platform and immediately ran over to the plant. Large maroon tipped leaves hung off the stem. “Aixosfeaf!” The borrower lit up and pulled out her dagger to cut the plant away from its rooted position, paying no mind to the companions walking past her. It was until she successfully dug up the third root that she felt a tug on the back of her cloak, within seconds the ground disappeared from her feet. Freya clutched the bundle of Aixosfeaf to her chest fearing she would lose them as ascended. The world spun before she abruptly stopped, there she dangled in front of the pale face of Astarion, his red eyes staring daggers at her. “We're here to kill a hag, not pick flowers.”
“And what do you expect me to do?” Freya spat back.
A cold smile formed on his lips, fangs poking out just enough for Freya to notice. “Maybe we'll use you as bait.”
“We're not using her as bait!” Tav snapped back.
“Looks like your leader has spoken, now put me down!” Each step he took caused her to sway and Freya feared gravity would grab her and pull her out of the loose pinch Astarion had on her cloak. Amusement danced in his eyes as he watched her struggle to feel more secure while in his grasp. She thought he was going to keep her dangling like this for the entire time but instead, Astarion let go of her to let her fall. Freya didn't even have time to scream before she roughly landed in his other hand! The borrower pushed herself onto her knees and stared back at him with shock and anger.
“What? You told me to put you down.”
“You know damn well what I meant!”
His grin grew wider, which only made Freya's blood boil even more. Did he really find torturing her this fun? Freya shouldn't be surprised a vampire would mess with a borrower like a cat playing with its food, but yet she was! No one else wanted to torment her like this, not even Lae'zel! So why did Tav allow such an arsehole to travel with them?
“The hag is going to figure out we're after her if you two keep bickering like this.” Shadowheart snapped.
“You're absolutely right,” Freya stated. “I think it's best if I stay far far away from him!”
Instead of pawning her off, Astarion's fingers curled protectively around the borrower as if she was a valuable trinket he was hoarding. “Oh come now Freya, surely we can get along?”
Freya scoffed, he couldn't even hide the mockery in his voice. No, he still wanted to play this power game over her. “I don't get along with people who nearly kill me, twice!”
“You're still on about that?” The vampire let out a sigh, and for a moment, the group was blissfully void of his voice. “Look, you can't take what I've done personally. I'm being hunted down by my old master, for all I knew, you could have been working with him.” There was a hint of sincerity in his voice that made Freya question her grudge against the pale elf. She didn't know much about his past, but she could clue in on the fact that if someone can be a master over a vampire, then they must be more terrifying than Astarion himself.
Astarion brought her closer in his face, those piercing red eyes freezing the borrower in her place with his sharp gaze, a sly grin curled upon his lips as he spoke his next words in a sultry tone. “So why don't we kiss and make up, darling?”
Heat immediately rose to her cheeks leaving a pink blush scorched on her pale cheeks. It was just an expression, he didn't mean anything by it, but why did he say it like that? Then she noticed his wide grin grow bigger, it was apparent that he was happy with how flustered Freya became in an instant. She clenched her teeth so hard, she wagered she could crack a diamond. “If you think I am accepting that half-assed apol-!”
“Quiet!” Tav hissed out.
“He started it!”
“No!” Tav shushed again. “Someone's coming.”
Footsteps echoed in the cave and everyone scurried to shadows like rats. Freya caught a glimpse of Astarion's blade being drawn, wanting to help out, she got ready to pull out her peashooter, but Astarion's fingers curled and enclosed her in a loose fist. She struggled against the dark fleshy prison, desperately trying to pull herself out.
“Quit moving!” Astarion hissed, squeezing her tighter in an attempt to immobilize her.
“Not until you let me out!” Freya huffed out.
“You said you can't do much against a hag.” He snapped back. “So be still!”
“You two are gonna get us killed!” Shadowheart hissed out. “Knock it off!”
“With pleasure.” Astarion Whispered, before clenching Freya in a tighter fist, squeezing a gasp out of her. He wasn't squeezing hard enough to crush her but the borrower's arms were firmly pinned to her sides, no amount of struggling was going to free her from this vice-like grip.
Tension lingered in the air as the footsteps drew closer. By the sound of it, there was more than one person marching forward, a chill ran down Freya's spine. If she wasn't clamped tightly, she would be trembling! She felt like a sitting duck as the steps slowly came to a halt, an uncomfortable silence filled the cave that made seconds feel like eons.
“I wasn't aware that Ethiel's slayers would be coming over.” An elderly woman's voice called out. “I should have known once my magic barrier was broken.”
“So our reputation precedes us,” The halfling replied back. “I don't suppose you know anything about the plague going on in Skaars Hollow?”
“Of course, sweetling, I'm the one who placed the curse on the town.”
Tav let out a sigh. “I figured as much.”
“It's nothing personal to the townsfolk, I just need to… expand my home.” There was a sickly sweet tone in the hag’s voice. “We can't have an older woman hiding in a cave, it's bad for me poor back.”
“Can't just move to a new place, eh?” Karlach scoffed. “Gotta fuck with people's lives?”
“Walk away now, I'm no chum like Ethel was.” That sweet voice was gone, replaced by a sinister growl.
“And let you hurt more innocence?” Tav asked. “We're not letting you terrorize this town.”
There was no way for Freya to know what happened next, but based on the sudden screech of the hag, it sounded like Tav just started a fight with her. In an instant, the borrower felt her stomach lurch forward as Astarion presumably along with Shadowheart and Karlach with more footsteps charging towards the group.
“Bloody redcaps!” Shadowheart yelled out!
“On it!” Karlach replied, a sickening crunch and a dying squeal followed right after.
The sounds of battle cries and blades clashing bounced off the cavern walls, the noise became tenfold whenever Astarion fought one of those redcaps up close. It was almost as if they were screaming right into his enclosed fist to assault her ears, she desperately wanted the vampire to loosen his grip!
“She's getting away!” Tav shouted.
Astarion bolted deeper down the cave, the commotion dying down as he ventured further. His steps were light, barely making a noise amongst the rocky terrain, the only noise Freya could hear was her hammering heartbeat. The pale fingers that coiled around her twitched and loosened around her body. The tiny woman wasted no second to claw her way out his grip, forcing her left arm and head out of his fist. Freya let out a gasp for air, not even caring about the vile stench filling her lungs at this point. Before she could get her other arm out, the fingers tightened again, slightly squeezing out the air she had just taken in.
“I need to… fucking breathe!” She choked out.
“Not if your breathing is going to alert her!” Astarion hissed through his teeth. “And quit squirming so much, it's distracting!”
“I wouldn't squirm so much… if you didn't… squeeze so bloody tight!”
He rolled his crimson eyes but obliged to Freya’s protests and his grip loosed just enough for her to free both arms. “There, happy? Now shut it, or the hag will kill us both!”
Freya scoffed but ultimately kept her mouth shut, she wished he would have just set her down somewhere instead of facing the hag with her in hand but something told her that her voice for concerns would fall on deaf ears. So she kept her eyes peeled while Astarion lurked in the shadows, dagger lurking in his other hand. It dawned on her that she realized how truly helpless she was right now, she was held by a vampire who just threatened to use her as bait a moment ago and her only weapon strapped to her side beneath the flesh that trapped her. If the hag simply asked to hand her over, there was no doubt in Freya's mind that Astarion would do so. The foul air grew thick and Freya found her breaths becoming quick; she desperately tried to keep her nerves together but all the shadows danced in the dim light and Freya swore she saw the hag watching them before darting away.
“Get out!” Screamed in her head over and over again, the borrower attempted to pull herself out of the vampire's fist but his grip tightened once again.
“I told you to be still!”
“I can't be here!” Freya gasped, her struggles for freedom becoming more frantic.
“Well, I wished you thought of that before you decided to tag along!” Astarion's voice strained the more he spoke. “But you're here now, so accept it!”
“I didn't sign up for this!” Freya was screaming now, her heart felt as though it was on the verge of bursting! She was going to die before she could even bring the herbs back to her colony, then they'll never know that every reckless adventure was for them! Worst of all, Kes would be alone. In a last stitch effort, she slammed her fists against Astarion's fingers. “I'm not becoming bait!”
“What?”
“My, my, you two make a lot of noise.”
Before he could react, a powerful force thrusted Astarion backwards; Freya let out a scream only to choke on the volatile air she inhaled. Astarion's grip loosened as soon as he fell on the ground and the borrower wasted no time scrambling out and away from him. The fear of him clawing after her crossed her mind but Freya turned back to stare at him, she saw the once cocky vampire gagging profusely.
“Been awhile since I've seen your kind, sweetling.”
Ice ran through Freya's veins, her eyes drifted upwards to see an older woman with stringy black hair and dull greenish skin towering over her. She would have looked like any old peasant woman, but when she smiled, Freya saw stained, jagged teeth that were far more frightening than a vampire's fangs. In an instant, Freya pulled out her peashooter and lobbed a pebble at the hag, but she waved her boney hand and the pebble crumbled to dust before it could even reach her torso.
“That's no way to thank me, deary.” She sang out. “I'm the one who saved you from that vampire.”
“Y-You're no… savior.” Freya trembled as she spat out those words.
“But I could be.” The hag chuckled softly as her beady yellow eyes darted over to the borrower's pack. “You know that Aixosfeaf won't redeem you, your colony won't accept you back.”
“How…?” Freya scrambled back to increase the distance, this hag was getting into her head! “You're wrong!”
“Am I?” She tilted her head, flashing Freya a softer smile. “Borrowers rarely accept those who help the larger folk, and the people of your colony are adamant about that.”
“You don't know that!” Freya croaked out, she felt as though her throat was closing in and she was gasping for air at this point.
“Oh but I do little one,” She took a few steps closer, her shadow falling over the borrower. “And I know you're angry at your colony for what they did.”
“N-no!”
“All you did was try to help them, and they tossed you aside like trash!” The hag cried out in a mocking voice. “How could they be so cruel?!”
“They… They didn't understand.” Freya explained, what the hag was saying had to be lies, yet they sounded like the truth! No, Freya was not going to believe her! She wrapped her hands around the strap of her pack tightly, the precious herbs that will help her people was still tucked away in there. “This is going to prove them wrong!”
“Such confidence, but it's futile, girl. So how about we strike a deal?” The hag got on her knees and offered a hand out to Freya. Her smile was warm and inviting, as if she was just a granny children would bake cookies with. “I'll let you walk away from this, even keep the herbs you took from me.” A wicked gleam flickered in her eyes. “Just tell me where your colony is.”
Nausea settled into Freya's gut, she didn't know what a hag would do with her colony but it couldn't be good. “I… I can't.”
“Get it through your head, girl!” The hag bellowed out. “Your colony would rather die than accept you back! So why not let them, it'll save you from dying alone.”
Her words sunk into the borrower, why was she so sure some Aixosfeaf would redeem her, that a herb would make them forgive her for going past the border and getting caught by larger beings that were especially dangerous to her people? The truth is they would never see her any differently than the boy who compromised the colony's position all those years ago. Freya was a risk before, this blight was just an excuse to finally get rid of her.
The colony may hate Freya, but that would never justify selling her colony out to a hag.
Freya aimed her peashooter at the hag, one false move and the borrower would shoot a pebble in the bitch's eye. “You're bloody insane!”
“No matter, I'll find their corpses once the plague wipes out the town.” A low chuckle erupted from the hag, her thin lips curled into a sinister grin. “Then when I mash your bones together to make a potion, you'll finally be reunited.”
The scraggly hand shot out lightning fast ready to latch onto Freya like a predator lunging after a prey, she hopelessly lobbed the pebble at the hag and squeezed her eyes shut to block out her fate. Then a shriek cut through the air, nearly stopping the borrower's heart. Freya's gray eyes snapped open and the hand that was once going to be her prison, laid severed on the ground, blood pooled at the wrist. She glanced up to see a sickly vampire standing inches from the shrieking hag, his legs shook and his chest heaved but she could see the look of fury burning in his crimson eyes. Freya had to question if this was a hag's trickery snaking its way into her mind, making her see things that couldn't possibly be real…
Like Astarion saving her.
“You pestilent leech!” The hag snarled as she staggered back.
“Over there!” Karlach shouted.
“Flagra!”
A radiant blast shot passed the hag, only to miss her. She whirled her head over to see the other three sprinting towards her, with the flick of her other hand the hag disappeared in a blink of an eye. Once gone, Astarion dropped to his knees, a violent cough erupted from his chest.
“Shit, Astarion!” Tav rushed to him, eyes nearly popping out of their head. “Are you okay?!”
“I'll be fine once I'm healed.” His voice was laced with annoyance but Freya thought she saw a small smirk, like he enjoyed the attention he was getting.
“On it!” Shadowheart reached out to Astarion and murmured a spell, a bluish glow radiated off her hand and transferred onto the vampire. Whatever ailment plagued him was fading away.
“Hey, where's the tiny soldier?” Karlach asked.
panic was about to latch onto Tav but Freya snapped out of her shock and jumped to her feet. “I'm here, and I'm okay!”
“Thank the gods!” Tav sighed.
“You're lucky I was here to save you,” Astarion cut in. “You would have died if it weren't for me.”
“Lucky?!” Freya hissed and scowled up at him, the smugness from his pale face only fueled her rage. “You were going to use me as bait!”
“Really?” Shadowheart rolled her eyes.
“Come on, Astarion, you can't do that!” Karlach sighed.
“I told you not to do that!” Tav snapped out, the look of disgust was apparent on them.
That smirk faded from Astarion. “I had no intention of doing that.”
“Bullshit!” Freya snapped, she'll admit his words sounded very convincing but she wasn't falling for it, nor would she let the others fall for it either. “You suggested it earlier then went off on your own with me in hand!”
“I was trying to catch her off guard!” He rolled his red eyes before they landed on her with a piercing stare. “Which I would have done if you didn't freak out!”
“Yeah, I tend to freak out when people who tried to kill me- multiple times, wanders off to get me killed by a hag!”
Astarion broke eye contact with her to look back at the others. “If any of you doubt me, then go into my mind and see for yourselves.”
Tav stared into his eyes, reading his thoughts. It only took a moment, then Tav let out a sigh of relief. “He's telling the truth, Freya.”
“You can't expect me to believe him!” Freya crossed her arms. She didn't quite get how that mind reading power worked but she was told it had something to do with the parasite wriggling in their heads, but there had to have been a way Astarion was tricking them!
“You don't have to believe him, but believe me.” Tav flashed her a reassuring smile.
“But… he was.” Freya tried to argue, but her voice faded into a pleading whisper, trying to convince everyone including herself.
“The hag likely got into your head,” Shadowheart said matter of factly. “Twisting your fears into being more believable than they actually are.”
“Yes, that's likely what happened to you...” Astarion murmured, then his eyes locked onto Freya, piercing her with a glare. “But that hag was doing more than just scaring you, wasn't she?”
Freya's mouth went dry, how much did he hear? “I don't know what you're talking about.”
“Oh don't act dumb now,” Disgust was practically dripping off his lips. “That hag said those herbs you were desperate to get won't help you, what was she talking about?”
“I don't know… she was just spewing shit!” Freya exclaimed, her heart was pounding her ribcage. “Shouldn't we get going?”
“We shouldn't linger.” Shadowheart agreed, she stood up and glanced over to Astarion. “Are you good to keep going?
He narrowed his eyes. “I'll be better when I know what this rat of a girl is really doing here!”
“That's enough!” Tav snapped before Freya had the chance, their green eyes piercing onto Astarion. “I've been excusing your behavior far too much, Astarion! Freya has a right to be here, even if she has her own motives, so knock it off or go back to camp!”
There was a moment of triumph that surged through Freya, finally Tav really told him off and it seemed to have shaken up Astarion as the disdain from his eyes faded away. Gears turned in his head before he finally spoke.
“I'm not just doing this for some petty vendetta you know.” Astarion spoke calmly, like the still air moments before an aggressive storm would hit. He glanced at his skeptical comrades’ faces before settling on Freya. “I'm trying to make sure her motives don't get us all killed.”
“Well Tav told you to shut up!” Freya snapped back, her eyes wide with rage the more she stared at Astarion. She was done with this discussion and spun over to Tav. They offered a hand for her to climb onto.
“The hag mentioned something about your colony not accepting you… care to explain that?”
Freya froze inches away from Tav's hand, goosebumps trailed up her arm when she felt curious eyes fall on her.
“D-did something happen?” Tav spoke with caution, their hand still extended towards the borrower.
“It's nothing!”
“But you spoke to her like you knew exactly what she was talking about.” Astarion added on. “We deserve to know.”
“The hells you do!” Freya pivoted her gaze back towards the vampire. “I don't tell my life story to arseholes who've nearly killed me!”
“But I've saved you twice now, I think we're even.” That smug grin returned and it only fueled Freya's anger, she opened her mouth to continue this debate when Tav's voice butted in.
“Twice? What do you mean, twice”
“Oh, she never told you?” There was a mischievous glint in his eyes. “Your little friend stayed during that fight with Huskin, she almost got caught by one of his lackeys until I saved her.”
“Is that true?” Tav asked her.
“Yes.” Freya spoke through clenched teeth, Tav didn't need to say anything else, she knew they wanted to know why she stuck around. “I was hoping to know answers about the plague, and got caught in your fight…” She let out a shaky breath. “And then some scouts found me.”
“That doesn't sound good.” Karlach said.
“I've been… exiled.” Her lips tightened around the words as if trying to keep them in. It took everything to not burst into tears, maybe it was the rage she felt keeping her together.
“But why?” Tav's mouth went agape. “You were just caught by us. Is that truly enough to cast you out?”
“It is when you're caught by a vampire.” Her voice grew brittle as did all the strength it took to not cry in front of the blood sucker. None of this would have happened if he just didn't act like a monster, and staring up at him only made her more irate! “I am seen as a threat to my colony because of you!”
“Oh it is? You had every chance to scurry back to your little burrow, yet you didn't.” Astarion smiled wide enough to flash those fangs. “You only have yourself to blame, darling.”
“Fuck you!” Hot tears pooled in Freya's eyes, but even in her blurry vision, she could still see that smile taunting her. She fumbled around to grip her peashooter and was ready to shoot at his smug face again but in an instant, her weapon was plucked from her grasp.
“You're not shooting me in the eye again.”
Being defenseless did not extinguish the borrower's rage. She hurled the pebble in his direction and then grabbed another to throw it again, and again and again. Freya didn't even know if she was hitting him with the rocks, but she just choked out ‘fuck you's until she felt no more pebbles in her pack. Freya fell to her knees, her chest heaving from all the exertion. This felt ten times worse than that night in camp, she could feel the pitied looks from Shadowheart and Karlach. The looks that made her feel like a helpless kitten mewling out in the streets.
“It's neither of your faults!” Tav snapped out, yet the commanding tone wavered. “If anything, it's mine.”
“What?” Freya wiped the tears from her eyes and stared up at them.
“I shouldn't have made you stay that night, but I insisted! I just… didn't want to see you hurt anymore.” The halfling whispered. “But I made everything worse for you, now.”
“Tav…” Freya was at a loss for words, she wanted to believe Tav was doing this to just be nice, to take the blame off of her. Yet, the guilt in their eyes was plain as day, Tav felt responsible.
“It's not your fault, soldier!”
“Honestly, you mustn't blame yourself for this.” Shadowheart said calmly.
Astarion scoffed. “You tried to do a good thing. There's no need to feel guilty.”
“I appreciate the sentiment, guys, but I really should-!”
“Stop!” Freya jumped to her feet, a scowl painted on her face. “You can't take blame for this!”
“She's right.” Astarion spoke in a voice much softer than his usual flare.
“Well I'm not letting either of you blame each other for this, your bickering nearly killed both of you.” They said sternly, but they gave a desperate look at the pair.
“Oh fine,” Astarion sighed. “Perhaps I've been too… presumptuous around the borrower.”
“Understatement of the century.” Freya mumbled.
“Cheeky, but I'm trying to be genuine.” Astarion formed a smile. “How about we form a truce, so we can get out of here alive.”
Her brow furrowed. “What do you propose?”
“You clearly have no experience dealing with hags and shouldn't even be here but since you are, you'll need protection.” There was a playful spark in his eyes. “I can provide only the best protection for you.”
“You can't be serious.” Her skepticism was not going to be easily swayed, after all he put her through it would take more than a cheeky smile and chivalrous attitude to win her over.
Karlach couldn't hold back a chuckle.“What makes you the best candidate, fangs?”
“Well, you and Tav are going to be fighting that hag up close, plus your condition already exempts you from the task.”
“No need to rub it in.” She mumbled.
“Then there's Shadowheart, who no doubt will be occupied with keeping everyone alive.”
“A fair observation.” Said the cleric.
He flashed a devilish smile. “But I can stay back from the hag, and if things get too dangerous, I can slip away easily with you safely tucked away.”
Tav let out a sigh. “I know you're not going to like this… but he has a point.”
Freya pressed her lips together in a thin line, Tav was right, she didn't like this whatsoever and thought about taking her chances with Karlach's scorching hands holding her. Yet, seeing Tav give her a soft look made Freya's pride melt away. There was no more time to argue anymore. “Fine, I'll do it… but only because you trust him enough to do this.” With a huff, Freya spun over to the giant vampire towering over her, ignoring how intimidating those red eyes were when they locked on her like a hungry predator. “And you must learn to handle me properly! I will not do this if I am going to be stuffed in a fist.”
“Of course, darling.” He spoke in a honeyed voice. “I shall be nothing but gentle, like I'm holding the most precious gem in the world!”
“Th-that's not necessary.” Freya gave a huff before glancing away, she could feel her cheeks threatening to turn a shade of pink. “It'll be easier for both of us if I'm just on your shoulder.”
Astarion's only response to that was to gently scoop her up in his hand, a gasp slipped out of the little borrower when she fell back in his palm. For a moment, she thought he was going to ignore her request all together, but his hand stopped just above his shoulder, allowing her to easily step off. “Is that better?”
“It's a start, I guess.” Freya mumbled as she settled onto his shoulder.
“Next time, warn her before you pick her up.” Tav scolded, their eyes flicked over to Freya. “Are you okay?”
“I'll… be fine.” She whispered, for an odd reason, Freya's heart pounded more than usual. “Provided, we're further away from the hag.”
“You keep her safe.” Tav ordered. “We'll keep the hag from going near you two but if anything happens, you take her out of here immediately! Got it?”
Astarion smiled softly. “Cross my heart and hope to… well, you get the point.”
Tav gave a nod, then locked eyes with Freya. Words were not spoken at that moment but Freya could tell they wanted to reassure her that everything will be okay. Astarion would keep her safe, they would kill the hag, and Freya could go home as a hero.
A pale hand inched closer to Freya, holding her peashooter and ammo at his fingertips. “Here, you'll need this.” Astarion said.
Freya quickly swiped her weapon from his hand, a smile pinned to her cheeks. “Thank you.”
“Just don't shoot at me again, we both can't be useless.”
Freya rolled her eyes, but kept her mouth shut. While his remark would warrant a pebble to the eye, she didn't feel as obligated to do that as much as before. There was less venom in his taunts.
“Let's march!” Karlach replied eagerly. “I'm itching to take down this hag.”
As Astarion stood up, Freya latched onto the collar of his leather armor for balance. Her stomach twisted as she glanced downwards, being perched on a larger being’s shoulder suddenly felt less safe now that she wasn't riding with Tav, but the borrower had to cast her doubts aside; too much was on the line and Freya was going to stop at nothing to make sure her colony was safe, whether they wanted her help or not.

Holy shit yea!!! That's the image! I am glad I found the right person! Aw kind of sad you put them away. Did love seeing them. I understand you have your reasons though! I remember the human woman was turned into an echidna to get the master emerald for her twisted husband I think. It's been years but I remember some of it!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don't have my Sonic stuff on my main PC anymore but on my external, so enjoy these gift pieces friends did for me sometime ago of Freya as a human and an echidna. ♥ Yes, Freya-(Ca) was from a made up human race of Overlanders. In desperation to get the master emerald from the island to her lover, she was transformed into an echidna but also stripped of her powers in the process.
This made her very weak and reliant on Edmund, who lost his wife all too recently. Having this random echidna woman collapse out of nowhere in need of help, he took her in and their relationship was supposed to grow from there but yeah. Another fandom pulled me in, and it dropped off. xD
I was still shocked people liked that comic. I didn't think it was anything new/interesting, but I'm happy to hear it had/has readers. ♥

Bonnie Bennett believed she'd finally discovered her good enough ending. Yet, like most things in her life good enough goes left and leaves her with another ending. Or, perhaps a fire beginning...Journey with everyone's favorite Bennett Witch to the Viking Era for much needed lessons in devotion, courtesy the Lothbrok brothers.
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, none of these characters belong to me. And to add unfairness to poetic injustice, neither does the shows or the books. However, I still intend to pull the characters' strings and make them dance, all while having a ball upsetting canon plot lines!
AN: Alright Bennett Fandom this one here is a bit different from what you're used to. Okay this one here is a bit different than I'm used to. Francesca has recently rediscovered Vikings and with it the sons of Ragnar. And don't you know she wouldn't rest until she brought our favorite Bennett Witch into their mess! As if our girl didn't already have her own problems. SMFH! So thanks to my lovely muse, here we are with a whole lot of trifling savagery that I'm just not so sure about. But as always I'll let you be the judge if this WIP lives to see another update. Flame it or acclaim it in comments.
“You know as much as I’ve savored the joy of tormenting you over the years-,” Klaus began.
“No,” Bonnie shook her head. She’d tried to go along with his final request. Really she did, but how could she? When in the end all he’d be was gone. “I’m sorry, bae. We’re not doing this.”
Rebekah’s eyes rolled. She released a drawn out exhale that hadn’t been necessary for her since wood ash and pointed stick tattoos were a thing. “Bonnie, don’t ruin this for him! Permit him whatever comfort he demands. He shoulders a burden you’d never be able to fathom. Can you not allow him to experience but one moment of grace? A moment Hope will undoubtedly cling to after he’s gone.”
“No, Rebekah! I’m not about to listen as the man I love gives us all a corny goodbye and pretend to be okay with it. And why the hell should Hope have a moment to cling to when she could have her father?” She gave her head another firm shake. “No, this is not okay with me,” her voice rose as she drilled visual holes through each of them. Klaus tried to shut her down with an arm around the shoulders but she curved him with a shrug, all while committing ocular homicide on him in the process. “So why the hell is it okay with you, Hybrid?” Her scorn riddled gaze darted from him back to his so called family. “Or any of you?”
“You must’ve been down on Bourbon sipping on that Absinthe again if you believe any of this shit is okay with us,” Marcel waved her off barely sparing her a glance. “We all just know Klaus is gonna do whatever Klaus wants no matter how any of us feels about it. The most dangerous place you can be when his mind’s made up is in his way. So I suggest you step out of it.”
Her neck snapped back as if she’d taken a two piece to the chin. “You think I’m afraid of the big bad wolf? I wasn’t at seventeen and if I thought for a second it would save him, I’d put his ass back in the dirt again. I take care of my own, Marcel. No matter the dangers or consequences,” she jabbed a thumb at her hybrid, “And make no mistake, that Original pain in the ass over there is mine.”
“Cute.” Marcel laughed as he rubbed at the corners of his mouth. “Bonnie, we’re his family. Each of us have known, feared, hated, respected, and loved him long before even your parents’ parents became an idea. Hell, even after everything he’s dragged me through, there’s not a drop of blood I wouldn’t bleed for him.”
“Then stand behind those words and do something, Marcel,” she pleaded, because at this point she wasn’t above begging for the only bright spot remaining in the dim bleakness that had become her life seven years before.
“What would you have us do, Bonnie?” Elijah questioned in a barely engaged tone.
Bonnie turned to consider him. A perpetual moroseness now cloaked the one she’d once believed to be noble. His arrogance hadn’t been quite the same since the restoration of his memories. More and more he’d begun to remind her of Finn. She squared her shoulders and straightened her spine. Since discovering what Klaus planned to do, she’d toyed with an idea she’d vowed never to indulge. Yet, under the weight of impossible desperation such vows could not stand.
“The eternal witch spell should be evoked,” she said.
“By whom?” Kol questioned. His chocolate browns moved from Freya to Hope. When both appeared to know less than him his disbelieving gawk returned to her. “You?!” Laughter burst from his mouth. “Oh Darling, I’ve witnessed that spell make a supernatural mess of the most talented witches to ever recite a chant. There’s only one destined to master the eternal witch incantation and her sorcery is said to be unmatched.” His knowing gaze drifted to Hope, and then back to her. “There’s no way you’re powerful enough to undertake the task. You’re not even the strongest witch on this block.”
Bonnie flinched. Damn it, if Kol hadn’t DOA’ed her pride. When the hell did he jump on the Bennett hate train? To hear how far his opinion of her plummeted sort of burned.
She nodded. “Okay, if not me why not Davina. You tend to enjoy blowing her horn. If she’s all you claim her to be, get her here. I’ll happily bow down if her being greater than me will save him.” She jerked her head in Klaus’ direction.
“No!” Marcel barked.
“Leave my wife out of this.” Kol zipped across the distance separating them to tower over her. His original face no longer concealed by his human deception.
Klaus rocketed forward to place himself between she and Kol. “Step away from my fiancé, baby brother. For if you harm her then you’ll be joining me in the afterlife. To hell with your bloody dagger and box.”
Ignoring Kol’s and Klaus’ dagger and the box bit, her distressed stare collided with Freya’s. “What about you? Will you help me save your brother?”
“Bonnie, that spell is much too dangerous. Even for me.” The blondes eyes offered her a thousand apologies but not one solution. “I’m sorry, but I can’t risk it…not now.”
Her desperation bottomed out to despair as her gaze took a hail Mary launch to the supposedly most powerful witch in the room. “Hope?”
The room erupted. You’d think she’d offered the girl a crack pipe. When she was Hope’s age she was taking down well…her dad.
“Bonnie!” Elijah yelled.
“This is madness,” Rebekah growled, taking a step in their direction. “Nik tell her!”
“We’ve already talked about this, Bekah.” Marcel shook his head and tugged Rebekah back to his side. “That doesn’t concern us.” Bonnie heard Marcel mutter.
Klaus spun away from Kol to regard her. He grabbed her face and cradled her cheeks in his palms. “Everything’s going to be alright, Love.” He whispered, before brushing his lips against hers. Liquid pain disturbed the stillness of his crystal blue stare and contradicted the hell out of his reassurance.
“How?” She tugged herself free of his grasp. “How’s everything going to be alright? You’ll be dead and then what? Life goes on? Fuck that! I’m not about to stand here and mourn a defeat I haven’t loss yet!” She whirled away and marched from the gathering. Her decision made.
Once out of sight, she hurried towards their bedroom. Inside, she closed the door and locked it. The barrier wouldn’t hold her hybrid, but the fraction of time it would provide may be all she needed to complete the spell. She fell to her knees next to the mattress. Carefully, she tugged the blanket from underneath the bed. The already prepared altar and ingredients slid out. She stared down at the athamae and exhaled. Second thoughts plagued her mental, but she shook them away. She’d come this far already. The time to bitch up and forget about it had come and gone. Now was the time to do and die, literally.
She picked up the dagger and called forth every ounce of mystical energy which bled through her veins. A swell of Bennett sorcery overwhelmed the room. Pictures rattled on the walls. The balcony doors blew open and the glass shattered. Furniture not nailed down whipped about the room like she’d caught a ride in a tornado. Steeling her nerves, she continued. She called forth her psychic energy, her huntress energy. Any and everything supernatural about her she offered to the Goddess of all in exchange for an eternity of knowledge and the fated eternal mate destined to help her defeat the Hollow.
After relinquishing her all to the Creator she sliced open her palm. Blood gushed from the wound and saturated the ingredients. A searing light illuminated the room. The bargain was struck and accepted. Now the sacrifice. She swallowed and raised the blade. Aiming it at the center of her chest, she closed her eyes.
“Bonnie, no!” Klaus’ voice penetrated the white noise blaring throughout the room. “Love, don’t do this. You won’t survive.”
She opened her eyes. He stood just beyond the enchantment circle, attempting to force his way into the barrier. “Neither will you if I don’t. Besides, if it doesn’t work I’d rather be in the ground anyway than breathe without you, Klaus.”
“Bonnie, please,” he pled as he dropped to his knees. He slammed his fist against the barrier. “Please, don’t do this. We’ll find another way. You have my word, Love!”
A sad smile flirted with her lips. “You’re lying, Klaus. If there was another way then it would already be the plan.” She plunged the blade into the cradle of her breasts. A piercing burn penetrated her chest.
“No!” Klaus’ bellow seared layers from her punctured heart. The storm of mystical energy whipping about ceased.
Her knees buckled. Klaus caught her before the ground could and cuddled her close. She attempted to talk, but a wheeze whistled pass her lips instead.
“No, Love, don’t speak.” He bit into his wrist and placed the bleeding extremity to her mouth. His blood might as well had been battery acid because she’d bet dollars to air it burned the same. Hacking coughs damn near shook her frame apart by the joints. “Why the sodding hell isn’t this working?”
“I-It’s the s-spell,” she managed to utter. “M-my death is the p-price of a-admission.”
Tears trickled from his eyes onto her face. “Why did I have to go and love you, Little Witch?” He demanded, looking beyond confused.
“B-Because its what we b-both needed at the time and no m-matter how this turns out I’ll always be indebted to you for giving me a reason. L-Love you, Hybrid…always and f-forever.” His face faded until nothing but darkness surrounded her.
Chapter 1
Disclaimer: Unfortunately, none of these characters belong to me. And to add unfairness to poetic injustice, neither does the shows or the books. However, I still intend to pull the characters' strings and make them dance, all while having a ball upsetting canon plot lines!
The abyss gave way to blinding lights. Bonnie squeezed her eyes shut. A cacophony of sounds battered her auditory senses. The eardrum rupturing racket nearly distracted her from the violent rocking motion. A violent rocking motion which would no doubt wrought absolute fuckery on her cyclic vomiting syndrome. Right along with the tang of salt-water, unwashed bodies, and rotten fish. The potpourri of funk came close to singeing the lining of her nostrils.
A familiar acrid burn tickled the back of her throat. On cue her belly spun a series of gold medal winning somersaults. Oh this was going to happen. Her lack of sight heightened her senses and made her that much more sensitive to all the upchuck factors swirling about her. Unable to continue to live in the darkest part of her denial and remain vomit free, she opened her eyes. The brightest day she'd ever had to tolerate greeted her light discriminating gaze. She closed her eyes once more. What in the extreme fuck? Was this some kind of hell dimension? Is that why she was only a five minute drive away from the damn sun? Oh Goddess no!
"Cade?!" She growled.
The acrid burn that flirted with the back of her throat developed a sour chunky consistency. Once again she forced her eyes open...and blinked. She was on a vessel that appeared to have hailed straight out of Vikings. Damning the unnecessary brightness and her afterlife in general, she turned and tossed up the entire contents of her stomach over the boats edge. The seafood gumbo from Rousseau's she loved nearly as much as Klaus shot from her mouth and floated one way while the wind and Hades' cruiser sailed her in another.
As gravity took her down exhaustion fucked her over. She rested her cheek on the boat's wooden ledge. Drops of putrid salt water splashed her face. Yet, her fucks to give was at a negative zero low. Not only was she dead, but more than likely so was Klaus. She'd failed him...she'd failed them. Not even eternity would be long enough to make that shit okay.
Bonnie's vision blurred. Her chest throbbed. She clawed at the pounding ache between her breasts. Goddess, it's a wonder her chest didn't have a gaping hole in it after everything her heart had lost. Shaking her latest failure from her thoughts, she turned to slouch back to the boat's floor. She then lifted her gaze to assess her surroundings. Various shades of irises gawked back at her. She froze. Oh damn! Just her luck the water was sacred. She opened her mouth to offer an apology, but snapped it closed. Wait...why the hell did everyone look like extras from the Last Kingdom?
Slowly, her gaze dropped from the filthy hairy men towering over her to what she wore. The burlap sack dress she donned stopped her ever ticking clock. And based on the breeze cooling her cakes, her La Perla's had opted to skip the journey to the other side. Her back teeth clenched. In what kind of after life had she been dropped? Was this some kind of Viking hell? Had she somehow been granted eternity with Klaus in his hereafter?
The shifting of bodies snaked her attention from Kanye's spring wear to the now parting beefy men. A sight which had her questioning her sanity emerged. Bjorn Lothbrok or at any rate the actor who portrayed him in Vikings. Was he dead and stuck on the Otherside also? Wait, was Alexander Ludwig even supernatural?
"You're not one of the slaves who was captured during the raid. One of your hue, I would've remembered." The head Viking in charge edge that resonated in Bjorn's or Alexander's voice snatched her from her contemplations. "How've you come to be upon this ship?" When she opened her mouth to speak the cold sharpened point of a sword pierced the hollow of her throat. "Speak to me of canards or sagas and I shall open your gullet."
She hesitated for a moment. What could she say? The truth would definitely get her neck split wide. "I-I'm not sure. Before...when I closed my eyes, I was somewhere else and now that I've opened them, I'm..." she glanced from the horror frozen faces of the crewmen to the beyond frightened slaves. The poor shackled souls huddled away from her in the ship crevices and corners on either side of her. She swallowed and allowed her gaze to return to Bjorn. "I'm here."
"Oh my god," she heard one of the slaves mutter in a tone that, to her surprise, sounded annoyed?
His scoff sliced the disbelief inspired silence in half. He withdrew the biting tip of his sword from her throat and sheathed it in the scabbard at his side. "Bind her hands to her feet and toss her over."
The ship erupted in a flurry of movement. Two overfed red-haired and even redder faced Viking men moved to grab her. She nearly projectile vomited her heart from her mouth.
"I know what I'm saying sounds apeshit, but I swear on everything I love, Alexander," she said slowly uttering the name and searching his face for a flare of recognition. When nothing sparked in his expression she stammered on, "I-I'm telling the truth. Please, you have to believe me, Bjorn!" A flicker of curiosity narrowed his glare. Bingo! "You can't let them kill me! Please, I don't wanna die again!"
"Halt!" He bellowed, raising a hand to stop the men from advancing, "How've you come to know of my name?"
Shit! She pressed her lips together as her mind flipped through a too short list of plausible explanations that wouldn't get her burned at a stake for witchcraft. "I-I've dreamt of you a-and of this moment." There, that didn't sound too bad. One thing she'd learned from Klaus, watching Vikings, and Google, is ancient Northman actually revered oracles and seers.
"You've dreamt of me?" He knelt before her, arresting her stare with a penetratingly incandescent blue gaze. At a deliberate methodical pace, his eyes crept over her face. Her lungs threatened to collapse under the thorough scrutiny. "Of this moment?" Unable to look anywhere other than in the irises that burned brighter than the now blazing sun, her head bobbed. A smile enticed the corners of his mouth. "Then why fear what you know will follow? Have you not prepared well to meet your fate?"
"Not if my fate resides at the bottom of the ocean," she said with a firm shake of the head, "That's an introduction I'd like to cur—avoid indefinitely."
His head tilted just so as he continued to regard her. "Name yourself."
"Bonnie Bennett," she answered.
A golden brow lifted. "Bonnie Bennett of where?"
"New-M-Mystic Falls...Bonnie Bennett of Mystic Falls."
"I have never heard of a land with such a name," he huddled a bit closer to her, "in which direction does your homeland lie?"
Before she could answer, thick gun metal gray clouds rolled across the azure sky and swallowed the glaring sun. A sonic boom exploded somewhere in the distance, while blue streaks of lightening zigzagged its way through the stodgy swirls of gloom. And if the situation wasn't already atom splitting serious, fat drops of rain and hail the size of golf balls began to pelt them.
"This storm is unnatural!" A seaman yelled.
"What in the name of Odin will become of us? None of us shall discover the gates of Valhalla at the bottom of the sea!" A ruddy face old man with a scraggly beard roared at anyone who appeared to be listening.
Another much younger seaman, maybe a little older than herself, turned an anxious stare on Bjorn. "Do you believe the All Father has forsaken us, Ironside?"
Bjorn opened his mouth to answer but was cut off by a blonde slave girl who pointed a finger in her direction, "It's her! Her very presence displeases the gods. You should heave her over and pray the sacrifice appeases them."
"You sound dumb as hell! It's no wonder you're in chains," Bonnie snapped, regretting her words as soon as they left her lips. Stupidity had nothing to do with forced captivity. Yet, that bitch had some damn nerve.
"No one will be heaving anyone over," Bjorn said, while standing from his crouch, "Raise the sails and provide the slaves with pails so they may began dumping water from the ship's floor."
A surge of magic thickened the air. The foreign sorcery incited something within her. Something unfamiliar. A bucket was pushed in her face. She took the wooden pail without looking away from the sea. The very stench of alien witchery agitated her own strange mystical energy. The fiery heat of her somehow altered super charged power practically scorched the inner lining of her veins as it raced through her vessels. Who would dare interrupt the supernatural and natural balance on this scale without justification? It was like using a heat seeking missile to take out a mosquito. Un-fucking-called for!
Instead of allowing the now aggressive powers within her the retribution it sought, she settled just to keep the occupants on the ship safe. So, while she dumped water from the boat's floor, she chanted under her breath. Soon, a protective shield formed around them in an elusive form of the previous sunny day. The Vikings and slaves alike erupted in praises to Odin.
"Yep," Bonnie forced a smile. "Praise Odin!"
"Come, Mystical One," Bjorn stood over her, his shadow casting her much needed shade.
Distrust and her impromptu guest starring role on a show which highlighted the fact that Vikings had no problems raping captives, raised her guards. Though realms out of her element, she was far from ignorant.
Her gaze moved over him in an attempt to size him up. "Where?"
"To the prow," He gestured towards the front of the ship before snatching the pail from her hands, and then tossing it aside. "I wish to learn more about you and this numinous land named Mystic Falls." When she took too long to follow he locked his hands behind his back and considered her. "If I wanted to lie with you then all I need do is have you. Do you believe anyone here would be minded to protect you?"
She lifted her chin as she glanced about the ship to see not one person watching them for concern purposes. Every eye she caught on them looked to be pre-historic Shade Room and TMZ reporters. If they had tea kettles back then they'd no doubt be ready to spill the damn things. No, Bjorn spoke the truth. No one on that confoundingly long boat would lift a calloused palm to help her.
"Alright." Exhaling, she stood and leveled him with a glare even a PMS'ing demon would be incapable of exacting. "But fair warning, no one on this ship can protect me better than me. And make no mistake, I'm not above defending my own honor."
He reached out and took her hand in his. "That is a certainty about you of which I'll never be mistaken, Bonnie Bennett of Mystic Falls."

I love your writing. I was perusing the masterlist and came across the 'Miscommunications' one. If you don't mind, I would love to see your take on the guilty aftermath of one such altercation. One where A can't forgive B, the one who caused it, the one who didn't understand what they did until it was almost too late. A sort of 'It's better to suffer alone, than deal with you anymore' kind of thing. And B utterly miserable at knowing they only have themselves, and their stubborn pride to blame.
I’m glad you enjoy my writing!
As I think the trope mentioned, I do love miscommunication and it is a theme present across many of my universes - in particular, you might enjoy Injection and Wergild if you’ve not read those already!
Now, moving on to your prompt…. (rubs hands together gleefully)
Masterlist.
~#~#~#~#~#~
Nadia woke up to pain.  She processed it silently, not daring to move a muscle as she shook off the remnants of the dream.  Death and fire.  It was the same every time now.  Someone would make a mistake and everything would crumble because of it.
Pain was radiating out from the hollow between her neck and shoulder.  Damien bit in the same place every time, and she didn’t know how long it’d been, how long she’d been stuck in this nightmare, but it was long enough that the purple-black bruise throbbed viciously with every breath.
She waited, because Moreau never took long to appear after she’d woken up.  She remembered the sight of his smirk in her blurry vision, asking the same question every time.
“What does my future hold?”
She refused to answer.  Even as Damien mauled her neck each time, draining just enough blood to leave her woozy and on the edge of dreams.  She would slip away, and dream of destruction and misery and hopelessness, and then she would come back and it would start all over again.
No one was coming for her, she knew that.  Part of that was her fault, she knew, for getting so frustrated in that awful fight that she threatened to leave.
But she had just been angry.  She hadn’t meant it.  And maybe it would be a sufficient excuse for not looking for her at the beginning, that first day, before tempers could cool.
Nadia couldn’t keep track of time very well, between her visions and the blood loss, but it was long past the time where her disappearance could be excused.  The only way they wouldn’t realize she’d been kidnapped was if they didn’t care - if they didn’t check her room to see if she’d left anything behind, if they didn’t call to make sure she was okay, if they didn’t bother to do the most cursory of checks to make sure she left willingly.
But of course they didn’t care.  Nadia had only ever fooled herself into thinking they did.  She was just a tool to them, like she was to Moreau, and the moment she’d dared to express an original thought, she’d been cast aside.
The frustration welled up in her, but she didn’t have the energy to sustain it, and she slipped back under, dreading her dreams.
~#~
She woke to the smell of lavender.  It was odd - a familiar scent.  Freya used to decorate the nursery with it.  She opened her eyes warily, wondering what fresh hell Moreau had designed for her today.
The wardrobes looked familiar.  As did the painting on the wall, a mermaid sunning herself on a rock with corpses floating beneath the water line.
Nadia’s first thought was to wonder how the hell Moreau had managed to get that painting.  The second was a bewildering mix of emotions - hope and rage and fear and disbelief and wariness, tangled up in home.
She surged upright - and immediately regretted that, freezing and falling back onto the bed as her shoulder violently protested the action.  Hissing through gritted teeth, she curled on her side and forced herself up more slowly.
Her head was spinning, vision fading in and out, and she sat there, head hanging, until movement was no longer accompanied by a sickening wave of pain.
There was a glass of water on the bedside table, and a small box of cookies, and she reached for both.  She sipped the water even though she wanted to drown herself in it.  The cookies tasted like ambrosia, melting on her tongue and lifting the fog.  She ate the whole box.
The sugar helped immensely, and she felt awake for the first time in…days?  Weeks? Months?  The imprint of fangs on her shoulder served as a throbbing reminder of the half-lucid, mostly-dreaming nightmare state she’d endured.
But now she was home.
Nadia slowly stumbled upright onto shaking feet.  The sugar helped, but not that much, and she felt like she was falling with every step.  Finally, she grasped the door frame.
She cast a glance back at the room.  Her room.  Nothing had been changed, even her sheets were the same.  There were two books on the nightstand she didn’t remember reading, one was Shakespeare and the other was definitely a children’s book, big letters and bright colors.
Did she remember hearing snatches of a soft voice telling a tale of dragons and mice?  Or was that a dream she’d locked away?
If this was a dream, she would cry.  If this was Moreau’s sick, twisted idea of how to break her, it would work.
There was no one in the hallway.  She followed a low murmur of voices through it, down the stairs, to the large, open-plan living room.  She hovered in the shadows, because she needed to see first, to gather the information before she made a decision.
It was her team, not Moreau.  It was Freya and Richard and Wright and Jasmine, not Damien.  It was Vi gurgling from the bassinet in the corner.
Nadia had not realized how desperately she needed to see her goddaughter until she was halfway to the cradle, her heart in her throat.
The conversation broke off abruptly, but Nadia didn’t care.  She heard the hushed stillness, but she was reaching a trembling hand into the cradle and nothing else mattered.
Vi looked up at her, blinking large beautiful brown eyes, her teeny tiny fingers wrapping automatically around Nadia’s index finger, and she smiled.
Nadia broke.
She barely remembered crumpling to the floor, but her head was pressed against the side of the cradle and she was taking in huge, gulping, heaving breaths.  There was still something warm wrapped around her finger and Nadia shuddered - in relief, because she was here, she was home - in terror, because nothing that Moreau or Damien had ever done to her could compare to the thought of losing that fragile grip.
Someone’s hands were on her shoulder and she flinched - the pressure disappeared instantly.  There were voices around her, but she didn’t have the energy to care.
“Nadia,” a soft one broke through the dullness, “Nadia, can you make it to the chair?”
There were hands on her elbows as though they were going to lift her - going to touch her, move her body like it was a ragdoll, like what Moreau had done over and over because she was too woozy and weak to lift a finger.
Nadia curled up further, gripping the edge of the bassinet and getting up on her own power.  She didn’t look at them, she couldn’t look at them.  Not yet.
She gently tucked her hands beneath Vi and slowly lifted her up.  Vi hummed at that, before kicking her legs in glee.  Nadia held the squirming baby carefully as she located the nearest armchair and sank down into it.
Vi squealed happily into her ears and Nadia tried not to cry.
With Vi in her arms, both comfort and shield, she lifted her gaze to consider her once-friends.
Wright had been the one to talk, his hands hovering in the air like he’d intended to catch her if she fell.  Freya was vibrating in place, her gaze fixed on Vi.  Richard was watching her, his arms crossed.  Jasmine looked pale and wan, like she was about to faint.  Nadia didn’t know where the others were.  She didn’t particularly care.
“How long?” she asked, ignoring the hoarseness of her voice.  They all flinched when they heard it, but she sat there patiently, waiting.
“Three weeks,” Richard said finally, his voice twisting, like he wanted it to be an apology but didn’t know how.
Three weeks.  She’d been Moreau’s prisoner for twenty-one days, until her dreams had blurred so much she could barely distinguish between reality and her nightmares.
Something tugged on her hair and she looked down to see Vi’s fingers wrapped in a tangle of curls, looking up at her and giggling.
“It took you three weeks to find me,” Nadia said flatly.  She didn’t have the energy to sneer the words, to twist them, to hiss with the undercurrent of poison.
It didn’t matter.  She could see her words sink in like daggers to the heart.
“You were being held by Moreau,” Freya replied defensively, “His place is a fortress, it wasn’t easy -”
“How long before you realized I was taken?” Nadia asked, because she didn’t need to hear their excuses.  She’d heard so many of them already, she could fill in the blanks.
Richard and Wright looked at each other, expressions shifting on both their faces.  Jasmine was staring at the floor.  Freya’s face was splotchy red.  Richard looked away, and back to her, opening his mouth.
She cut him off.  “The truth,” she said, “Not whatever lie you just came up with.”  Her gaze was hard.  She saw the future, not the past, but was she saw was real and truths could not be hidden for long.
Richard and Wright looked back to each other, and Nadia wasn’t very good at reading expressions, but all four of them reeked of guilt.
She felt her heart drop, hollowing out her chest and vanishing into a pit so deep she would never hear it break.
“You didn’t,” she said, and she couldn’t meet their gazes, couldn’t keep looking at expressions that fell to shock and shame and remorse.  She stared instead at Vi and watched as the little girl played with a lock of her hair, seemingly fascinated.  Even that wasn’t enough to numb her grief.
“You came for Damien,” she said hollowly, as the pieces fell into place.  “How disappointed were you when you found me instead?”
“Nadia, no,” Jasmine said roughly.  She sounded on the verge of tears, voice cracking.  Nadia did not look up.  “We’re so so sorry we didn’t come looking for you, but we’re not disappointed - we’re glad we found you, Nadia, we -”
“Are you?” she asked, looking straight at Freya.  Freya opened her mouth.  And then closed it, pressing her lips into a thin line.
That’s what she thought.
Wright opened his mouth, presumably to soften the blow, but Nadia shook her head.  “I don’t want to hear it,” she said quietly, lifting trembling fingers to tickle Vi under her chin.
“But, Nadia -”
“No.”
“You have to -”
“No.”
“Please, Nadia, just -”
“I don’t want to hear it.”  Nadia knew that there were tears rolling down her face, dripping silently to be soaked into Vi’s cute little shirt that had a yellow sun and bouncing green frogs.  Vi laughed and cooed, her tiny arms moving like windmills.
The tears dripped faster.
~#~
“What the hell was that, Freya?” Wright hissed, furious, as they relocated to the next room.  They could still see Nadia, curled up on the armchair with Violette in her arms.  Jasmine sat on a nearby couch, watching them both silently.
Freya itched with the urge to go back in there and snatch her niece from Nadia’s shaking hands.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Freya said through clenched teeth.
“Really?!” Wright snarled, “You just told her that you wished you got Damien out instead of her!”
“Damien is my brother,” Freya retorted, spinning around to glare at him, “Did you want me to lie?!”
“We would’ve appreciated it if you didn’t treat Nadia like an annoying pest you’d almost got rid of,” Richard said quietly.
“I don’t wish that we got rid of her,” Freya snapped, “And I don’t see how you can stand there and lecture me!  We all thought she left!”
Richard and Wright both flinched, spasms of guilt crossing their face, and she knew the words had hit.
Wright sighed, and dropped into a chair, burying his head in his hands.  “We haven’t found Damien,” he said listlessly, “And we’ve lost Nadia’s trust.  We have no idea what futures she’s given Moreau.”
“We can just ask her,” Freya responded, still feeling needled.
“I’m sure that conversation will go over well,” Richard said dryly, “Or do you want her to actually leave this time?”
Freya didn’t respond, because she wasn’t sure.  Sometimes, it felt like the seer caused more problems than she solved.
“I’m surprised, Freya,” Wright said, looking at her, “I thought you wanted to be a part of Vi’s life.”
Freya froze, heart hammering.  “What does Violette have to do with anything?” she snarled more than asked, glaring at Wright.
Wright didn’t seem phased.  “Nadia’s her godmother,” Wright said, and Freya realized the chilling implications.
“I’m her aunt!” Freya protested, but Wright ignored her.
“Marie’s dead, and Damien has lost his fucking mind.  Who did you think had custody of Vi?”
Freya turned away from him, balling her hands into fists, because he was right.
“Fine,” she snapped, “I’ll play nice with Nadia.”
“I’m not sure that it’ll make a difference,” Richard said quietly.  He was peering into the living room, at Nadia’s tear-stained face and painful smile as Vi giggled at something.
“I’m not sure she wants anything to do with us anymore.”

some avengers endgame Thoughts cause i saw the movie yesterday and can't stop thinking about it
of course..... spoilers ahead
nebula and tony playing!!!! i just love how nebula's personality comes through without it being ooc
also... nebula carefully sitting tony up. she Cares so much :(
steve immediately going to tony :( like im a stucky kind of gal but holy shit i love them
which was completely erased in the next scene where tony drags steve up and down and after that passes out, which is a confrontation Mood
i wonder how they made tony look so skinny and sick. if it was cgi then i applaud them cause it looked so good
the way they killed thanos so fucking quickly here... i don't know how to feel lmao. like cutting the gauntlet arm and then slicing his neck... that's what we were all screaming at them during infinity war. it's good to see them learn from their mistakes, i guess ?
(can't remember the order in which things happen from now so forgive me if i make a mistake)
i told my sister "that's one of the russos!!!!!" so it took me ten seconds to realize that the russo was the gay character everyone was talking about (i thought it would be fury for no other reason than it being shocking and fury having very little to do with the plot, but)
and steve being supportive of that :( man out of time said gay rights!
carol's new hair!! holy shit!!!!!
rocket insinuating carol has been experimenting with more hairstyles... i would like to see it
don't think i missed that carol x rhodey nod. i support it.
don't wanna say it now... for now ill just state: i love what they're doing with natasha in the movie. she truly feels like a friend to steve. like that small gesture of her sliding the plate towards steve is just so domestic and beautiful! it really makes her feel so human and complex at the end. i was so worried about her being wasted but i loved her throughout the film
it was a fucking rat who got scott out. i have to laugh.
also is that the guy from that old "gayyyyy" meme????
cassie is all grown up!!!!!! i can't even imagine how hard it had been for her
also what happened to her mom? and the stepdad??? are they fine????? i hope so
i was hoping we would get more tony as a dad in this movie and it delivered!! tony is so fucking good with kids. the bond between him and morgan was so well portrayed
also the place they live in is so cozy and that's what he deserves
when steve stepped down the car in that black outfit with the leather jacket on i gasped... he's fucking gorgeous
i kept wanting him and tony to kiss lmao tf is wrong with me
OKAY my hawkeye rights. i missed him so much
the stylish subtitles on the middle of the screen felt like too much. this isn't a tumblr gifset honey, just write them down!
thinking about the whole clintasha conversation really foreshadows the whole thing. natasha cares so deeply about clint and really puts his needs before hers. it's so beautiful to see
honestly... my clintasha rights!
i think the hulk/bruce scene was kinda endearing but then the ant man banter dragged on for toooo long
the dab i YELLED. these poor kids have to stand this man on 2023 pulling out 2016 trends to appear Hip and Cool
fat thor...... i hate how it was handled. hate it so fucking much.
new asgard! that's so cute. i hope that's on norway
miek and korg are alive!!!!
the thought of thor insulting a possibly 14 year old on fortnight is too much for me. it sounds like bad fanon talk. i still laughed (bc noobmaster69??? that's fucking hilarious)
tonys reaction to i love you 3000 is so beautiful. like the way he looks taken aback and so happy. i love irondad
steve in a white shirt and jeans!!!! i gasped again. he's delivering, the fucking model
i know they were like, barely being decent to each other again, but i still wanted my stony hug:(
when they're discussing their infinity stones memories and natasha and tony are laying down together on a table???? adorable. amazing.
also why tf didn't nebula said the soul stone required a sacrifice??? i thought that's what she got from gamora dying in volmir
as soon as natasha and clint arrived to volmir i began chanting "nonononononononono"
fuckkdjdksndk fucking nebula. cue to more nononono chanting
rhodey knocking out quill with a single hit is the funniest scene in the movie
clintasha calling on bullshit on the sacrifice thing was also quite funny
the forehead touch :((( im so weak! so sad!
clintasha literally fighting each other to be each other's sacrifice!!!! kill me now!!!!
jeez now i can finally say it: scarjo shined so fucking much on this movie!!!! her delivery was amazing, i really felt a connection between her and the avengers, it really showed her growth during the five year time jump. she fucking killed it. she did her best and she's the best black widow we could've ever gotten.
clint mourning her :((((( probably the third time i cried during the movie
thor's panic attack being used for cheap laughs was the most uncomfortable moment for me... or any scene where people only saw thor as Fat and Lazy (basically, two thirds of the movie)
the freya + thor reunion was so sweet though!
okay. okay. hear me out. tony was on a very serious mission to regain an infinity stone. and the first thing he does is check out steve's ass. and aknowledge how glorious it is. i couldn't believe what i was watching!!!!!! like that actually fucking happened. consider me a fully formed stony bitch.
and scott joining in to say it was "america's ass" ???? poetic cinema
so it's canon that everyone checks out steve's ass and appreciates it as a national treasure. that's all i never thought id needed.
steve saying "hail hydra" i YELLED. it was a nice nod to the whole "cap is a nazi" mess
and steve fighting himself... hot
using his bucky trauma to shock himself is :/// but also :((((
i loved that for one moment i knew everyone on the theatre was staring at steve's ass
and steve being appreciative of his own butt!!!! ok that's all i have to say about steve's ass
i loved the reminder that thor was still kinda goofy back in avengers 1, for everyone who says taika completely changed his character. and the little tony + thor moment was adorable
"howard..... potts" i can understand tony being a mess but how did howard not suspect of anything??? elevator lady took one look of steve's face and all of her alarms started ringing
peggy carter... ive missed my wife so much
did peggy marry souza. i hope she did. steve tf are you doing staring at a married woman (jk)
clint kicking the stones away as soon as bruce is done with the snap is the biggest mood
also... the hell was scott looking at that made him think it had worked? just... more birds outside? i was really curious
the irony of the only avenger without superpowers being left with the stones
"i know you" *hands out stones* how can you not love clint, he's so pure
nebula killing his 2014 self is a power move. that would be me if i met my 2014 self
thor with a braided beard!!!!! beautiful
thanos is like, a real threat and i love that
okay. i kinda saw it coming. i saw thor leave mjolnir behind and i thought "oh????". and then the shock of thanos being able to wield stormbreaker. and then fucking mjolnir moving!!!!! i was the only person in the theatre who yelled
but seriously!!!! steve wielding AND fighting with mjolnir!!!!! couldn't stop thinking about it all day!!!!!!!!! STEVE IS WORTHY!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
parallels to thor going for the chest. it never works babies!
and just.... this was steve's moment. steve i-can-do-this-all-day rogers really fighting with every ounce of his body and soul against the most powerful being on earth. justice for him getting knocked after touching thanos for one second in iw!
and steve getting up again! all dirty and wounded!! trembling with exhaustuation and resolution!!! with his broken shield on his arm!!!! just him facing the biggest army of the universe!!!!! so powerful
sorry to destroy this epic moment, but like, okay. people had been reintegrated to life like, twenty minutes before. and i understand that they were all confused and out of place. but sam really needed ALL that time to just... try to communicate with steve????? ok
the "avengers..." *brings mjolnir with one hand while bracing his shield with the other* "assemble" moment was... oh my God. chills all over my body.
that One Moment where steve has stormbreaker on his hand... so fucking hot
the tony and peter reunion holy shit. the hug was everything i needed! like please just hug tony stark for ages
and tony and pepper fighting together!!! that's a power couple right there
i felt it when quill looked at gamora and just... stopped. im so sad his moment was played for laughs when it was obviously such an important moment for his character
thanos was so fucking scared of wanda that he put his own troops at risk to stop her for a little while. strongest avenger right there!
and carol coming back!!!! i was like
Tumblr media
i felt so relieved at that point. i was like "yeah thanos is fucking over what's next"
no need to talk about all the women coming together to defend peter :')
thanos getting the gauntlet again... the nonono chanting came back
fucking CAROL trying to stop him. looking at him with such a determined face, like "you can't stop me from stopping you". it was so powerful he had to snatch one stone to stop her
and strange giving him the one finger to tony.... i knew what was coming holy shit. i knew it. they knew it.
tony really proved himself there. it was his best scene on the entire mcu, don't argue with me!!!!!! the way he stood there and took all the power of the stones, unmasked, unaffected, powerful and almighty
"i am... iron man" cue to ugly sobbing
tony knew there was no other way. pepper did, too... she knew exactly what she had to tell him. she was right. tony spent all of these years moved by selfishness first, then fear, then guilt. an endless battle since thanos was on his head. but the war was over. what mattered was that he saved everyone, and he sacrificed himself for everyone. a complete 180° from last movie's ending.... wow
gotta said... peter there felt a little bit out of place for me. i think it would've been more powerful if he didn't say anything, though peter is a teenager, i can get it
his arc with steve felt unfinished, too. i would've liked to see steve's reaction as well, since tony had told him he wanted everyone back and also for his family so survive. but whatever
im not against tony killing thanos instead of gamora and nebula but i would've liked if we saw them react to his death, at least:/ like a little parallel between nebula's reaction at the beginning and the end of endgame
the One stucky interaction here was pulled from cap1 and iw. i feel betrayed
bucky Knew what steve was going to do. i wonder if steve told him before or bucky just sensed it
you can't convince me steve would go back and carelessly dance with peggy knowing his friend is being used like a weapon by hydra and bound to kill tonys parents. nah nah. it all felt wrong
my steggy rights!!!
love that the russos foreshadowed cap!bucky on tws just to give the shield to sam at the end
anyways what the fuck bucky was all steve had but he lived the happiest life without it and left him alone on the 21st century? okay fuck y'all
