the worst thing about keith genuinely being one of my favorite characters on the show is that he has like. the most storylines. and development. and the most rabid fans. and even the show fundamentally misunderstood him (shoved him into a role he neither wanted nor was ready for in any way and in doing so changed him so completely that he wasn't the character i first fell in love with because he got turned into Sword Shiro)
#like i would love for him to have lots of storylines and development dont get me wrong#but it happened at the expense of pretty much every other character. and his development just turned him into a cardboard cutout of shiro#when the reason i liked the show in the first place was because of the unique and dynamic characters#''but he was the black paladin in the original show boohoooo'' shut UP. reboot = new characters = new interpretation#anyway this is me saying that black paladin keith is my most detested keith of all time#they literally gave us thee perfect black paladin and showed him filling his role and trying so so hard to be what a black paladin should b#despite the history and baggage there#only to shove his ass out of the way in season 2 and never give him any ground for the entire rest of the show#and force his kid brother into the role he used to fill despite being completely unfit for it#<- IT SOUNDS LIKE IM BULLYING KEITH BUT IM NOT.
