can my workplace stop me from wearing earplugs if they've got incredibly loud machinery going, especially if I get ones designed to not block out speech so I can still talk to customers?

#I think I'm starting to develop tinnitus in my right ear which is the ear that faces the mixer and dishwasher #they don't run all day but when they are running it's like BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG for 5-30 minutes #it could be impacted earwax in that ear but if it's not that I'm sure it's the things at work #bc I very rarely wear headphones and I usually don't keep my volume up very high either #idk how the bakers aren't all deaf they spend all day RIGHT NEXT to it #I read in manitoba if it's over 85db they gotta do something about it #and 85db is like busy street volume so I'd be surprised if these weren't as loud as that
