can we just…let people not give a fuck about things? if we can just let people enjoy things, we need to also just let people not give a fuck about things
#getting real tired of the stan/hater false dichotomy#where there’s seemingly no room not only for valid critiques of a thing#but no room to just not care about it#(surprisingly this is not about sw*fties although it could be applicable)#(no. it’s about the local news using the term ‘halloween grinch’ to describe people who don’t hand out candy)#they cited a survey saying that 48% of cdns won’t be handing out candy this year#and while I’m sure some of it is due to the cost of living crisis#I wonder how many respondents are like me & found the pandemic-era freedom from social expectations really refreshing#and have no interest is being pressured into returning to things they no longer enjoy doing
