alright im still thinking about it. the thing about bruce vs slade in terms of parenting is that they both love their kids and dont know how the express it. but the difference is bruce tries to express it in well-meaning actions that sometimes backfire or come off as cold/untrusting. whereas slade expresses it by attacking & manipulating his kids and oscillating between pushing them away and forcing them to be close to him

#its bruce encouraging cass to train and fight because he thinks thats what she wants and is whats best for her #vs slade crafting an exact scenario where he knows rose will kill someone then join him because he wants her with him #its bruce firing both dick & jason as robin because he was afraid they were in danger and going to get themselves hurt #vs slade attacking the titans because he knows that itll mean rose and joey lose their trust in him and find family in the titans instead #they both have good intentions in fatherhood but slades are all him actively hurting and manipulating them and KNOWING hes doing it #while bruce hurts his kids with what he doesnt do but his actions comes from a place of genuine love but no way to let it out #does this make sense!!!! please tell me im making sense!!!!!!!!
