A tie that binds or a thread that unravels

We are never more than what we are, presently. But this does not mean that we cannot be more or less.

Sometimes be the darkness.

Sometimes be the light.

The utility of both is obvious (light) and implied (darkness).

The existence, irreducible necessity and interpenetration of both is irrefutable.

Thus the "irrefutable ought" that follows has been said before (albeit to the point of death):

"Be ye wise as serpents and harmless as doves"

But where do all the thoughts go that I gave you, once you're gone away from me?

And what of the memories that were yours that were also ours?

What happens to the invisible fibers of memory threaded and knotted and tied to keep us close?

I'd have only this feeling left: The inverse impression of you. The cavity of the mold your soul's weight imprinted into me. But it's only the absence of you.

Tracing the corded memories to the place where you connected to me to thumb the frayed ends where you would belong.

...and I'm in love with you

I see His awe-full designs in everything we do

...and for the fall, the way we fall

...your steel-trap love foreordained

If our knowledge and understanding of the world is taken to be bits of data, or pieces of puzzle, to be organized and fitted into patterns that must fit meaningfully with reality on the whole, then underlying this expectation is the assumption of something to be observed on the whole from these bits. They correspond, at least somewhere, within our horizon of knowledge of understanding. Perhaps beyond that knowledge but certainly within the whole of what we don't know yet. Perhaps never known because our knowledge horizon has fixed perception limits. Nonetheless the assumption remains. The piece goes "somewhere".

In other words, as I've said elsewhere, everything coheres.

Stop apologizing for your joy

After reading my poetry I asked her, "Are you gonna make me write poetry about you?

She laughed and said, "I can't make you do anything. That's up to you. "

I laughed too but mostly because she was wrong

But we talk of meaning and we talk of purpose and chief ends.

And then I say a stupid silly thing and I make her laugh at the absurdity implied in it.

Silence, for just a moment, as the contrast fastens our intellects tight in understanding how truly we know these ends and how we are threaded together for this purpose

Everything coheres =
