Pyrs tries to "do everything right," he tries to "follow the rulebook" so to speak. He courted Louis by nervously asking him out a few times, after the, "right amount of dates," he and Louis kissed for the first time. It just surprises him so much and it aims DIRECTLY for his heart and soul, you will kill him if you do this.

How did they first meet?

oooo one of my favorite lil tidbits of lore Belial, early on as commander, had implemented a program to encourage recruits of the different orders to get to know one another. The program would pick groups of recruits and rotate them through the order halls for training with each order. Pyrs was a Vigil recruit picked for this program in it's testing stages. His group was meant to train with the Priory.

Their very first meeting was the introductions of the Vigil recruits to the Priory recruits & faculty. Pyrs couldn't stop staring at Louis, even though he tried. Louis, thought he was cute, handsome even.

2. What was their first impression of each other?

Louis thought Pyrs was adorable. This sweet, nervous sapling genuinely trying so hard to chase his Wyld Hunt, which was quite vague, despite how unfit for the Vigil he was at first. Louis found him physically attractive as well, Pyrs is shorter than him, has always been stronger than him, and his voice is like a siren's song to Louis.

Pyrs was very very nervous in Louis' presence because of his high rank in the priory. That faded quickly when he got to talk to Louis, finding out that he was a really sweet person. He thought Louis was very handsome, he could listen to him talk for hours. (he was able to aswell- attending priory lectures Louis gave.) He thought- and still thinks,- that Louis is a charismatic, kind, caring man.

Louis keeps in touch with his family who're back home in Kryta through letters. His little sister encouraged him to try and get closer to Pyrs when their relationship was new. Louis wrote this off as her naivety- Pyrs was a recruit after all, that's a bad idea.

Pyrs' closest friend, Branthyn, wanted him to "just tell the damned magister already!" She was sick of his pining. (And wanted him to quell his anxieties, he was worrying about everything to do with it so much, she just wanted him to be able to relax again.)

(Pyrs was the first to confess, very nervously asking Louis on a "date," or whatever next best thing they could manage. Louis thought it was adorable, needing to stand up from his desk to feign browsing the bookshelf behind it in order to hide the smile creeping onto his face.)

Trahearne. Maelgwyn's more like "I taught them how to use a knife, it's fine." It's not that drastic of a difference though, both would probably set rules, but Trahearne's the one to be more specific with said rules or outright ban certain activities.

I think this is a tie. They've both been through a lot. Maelgwyn has had to deal with some heavy trauma regarding loss and loss of loved ones. Trahearne has too though, and more times than Gwyn. They're almost always at eachother's sides in combat. I'm sure both always have that thought in the back of their minds, "Is this the last time I get to tell him how much he means to me?" And every other thought like that.

Maelgwyn's house, where they both live, is very open for airflow so they probably both just swat/relocate bugs back out where they came from. I can't see either of them being squeamish about insects tbh. "put those lil idiots back outside where they came from >:V"

Honestly this one is almost a tie as well. I think Louis would've really really wanted to tell Pyrs first, but opt instead to let Pyrs say it whenever he was ready. So Pyrs did say "I love you" first. Pyrs was the more heisitant of the two, until the campaign against Mordremoth. He told Louis he loved him, the day after he almost lost him.

They're both very affectionate & cuddly with eachother. Louis favors being the one touched. They're both very flirtatious with eachother aswell, through words, touch, and body language from across the room.

2. What was their first impression of each other?

I like to think that Trahearne, despite being an adult with soulcrushing responsibilities, currently leading an attack on the human god of war with an elder dragon on the pact's heels, still kind of had that young love crush. Faintly in the back of his mind, since Maelgwyn was only his second fully committed relationship. For the most part, he was skeptical about The Beast's reputation. Found him to be an intimidating presence at first. And of course he was curious about Gwyn because he looked so much like the nightmare court in his colors, so much like the mordrem in his stature and yet, he's just a sylvari. Exactly like the pale tree's children.

Maelgwyn had several immediate thoughts. He'd never seen another Sylvari before so hope blazed bright in his heart that maybe, just maybe, he's not the only one. He was so afraid of being hurt again that he muted that hope very quickly. Gwyn personally thought that Trahearne seemed a little unfit for leading The Pact (because of the slight nervousness that only cropped up around Gwyn.) Overall he seemed capable. Maelgwyn thought he was cute, and genuinely wanted to get to know him. before realizing thats what TheFeelings are, proceeding to attempt to mute them, but happening to be around where He might be is totally normal n regular, this is not me wanting to talk to him prommy.

both found the other attractive and neither knew how to, or even wanted to deal with that for awhile.

Trahearne was the first to say verbatim the words "I love you." On one of the few quiet, peaceful early mornings they were able to share during The Pact's campaign against Balthazar. He still cherishes that memory.

If you count more physical gestures as a way to say "I love you," then Gwyn said it first. He took Trahearne out one night to his favorite secret oasis, a place he often snuck out to for peace of mind. He never showed anyone else that place, except for Jasmeen. That was the first time after Jasmeen left that he'd been vulnerable with someone, bared his heart to someone.

Maelgwyn! He genuinely enjoys cooking quite a lot. He tends to be the one that makes meals for the both of them. (It was more of a miscommunication fuckup on gwyn's part than a genuine fight between them. Regardless, it hurt Trahearne and Gwyn still regrets it.)

Louis & Pyrs

Louis would be somewhat skeptical I think, but he's a very romantic person, so he'd probably welcome it after thinking it over. (he'd also be excited, he's always been attracted to Sylvari and their culture. )

Pyrs would believe you immediately; he heard Louis' voice in his Dream before waking. He didnt recognize it until he met Louis. His Wyld Hunt was vague and basically just "join the vigil, do stuff."

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Trahearne would not believe you. He's been in "true love" once, dated a bit awhile after, then Dragons Happened. So he both did not have time for it, and didn't want to grapple with the bundle of emotions he had to unpack because of wanting love in such a turbulent time. The general feelings of guilt for wanting some normalcy during a fight for your very own world. It felt selfish. (he would want to believe you though. he was pretty lonely for a long time, before gwyn.)

Maelgwyn would tell you to fuck off- he abandoned any ideas of soulmates a long while ago; when Jasmeen left, despite their parting being amicable. It would just hurt to hear that.

Louis & Pyrs

DEFINITELY cute cafe or library dates. These two just adore being together. Eachother's company is all they really want, so they LOVE dates in places where they can just concentrate on eachother. If they can't go out, they love to just laze about together in bed or the window reading nook Louis adores.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Sparring together. (with zero homoerotic undertones) bounty hunting together. (also in a very not gay way swearsies) I'm just obsessed with the idea of these two being "battle boyfriends." They love fighting alongside eachother. They still go out to Gwyn's favorite secret oasis, just to relax together as well.

And, completely sincerely, sex. It's more than just physical satisfaction for the both of them.

These two are VERY good at comforting eachother, but Louis worries more often, and Pyrs knows exactly what to say or do to help him calm down.

Trahearne is. He's very very skilled at reading Gwyn, meaning he can help him calm down even when he's unable to tell Trahearne what's wrong.

Pyrs by a longshot. Louis' version of 'protective' used to be 'if it has to be one of us ill make sure its me' until Trahearne noticed during lws3, telling him to knock it off before he Actually got himself killed because of that habit. (In a much kinder, Trahearne-way.)

Pyrs however is classic protective, much more like "dont hurt yourself," "take care of yourself," "be careful love," kinda way. He acts in a very defensive role when they fight side by side.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

Maelgwyn. With possessive seasonings. He's threatened more than one syndicate member stupid enough to threaten Trahearne's life to him. In a battle he will not let anyone get a hit in on Trahearne. Gwyn's the kind of protective boyfriend to "vet" people who need to talk to Trahearne (he has an excuse for this because he IS still Trahearne's bodyguard. he's been enabled in that particular setting. Even with trahearne being like "i love u so very much but you Can, in fact, relax for 2 mins babe.")

Two kitties! They've had them since a few months after Primordus and Jormag's fall. They're still with them at Aurene's temple. Sugyn sometimes babysits them when she visits.

Maelgwyn & Trahearne

If you count ranger companions as domestic pets, then with Trahearne's cats they have like. 6 pets. Gwyn's tiger Paola, his griffon Glenn, his raptor Cricket, and Trahearne's cats.

this man is so hard to get an ACTUAL romance good ending with because hes such a bitch KSHFGSIDUHF.

(I hope u did mean Sulyen and not Sugyn, but i AM gonna use this as an excuse to answer for both anyway &lt;;3)

SULYEN

Sulyen is so so very vain and stuck up and obsessed with himself and such a bitch about it tbh BUT

His route is a LOT of nice dinners and opera house dates and underground concert dates around Cantha. He's got a "human-sona" he uses in Cantha, as he is a mesmer AND not there legally. No one knows he's actually a sylvari. He's also, a "pop star" in cantha so you get some VIP perks from dating him.

The trick to earning his favor is telling him what he wants to hear. How handsome and pretty and better than everyone else he is so he can gloat and say "I knoow~" The more expensive the gifts you can get him, the better. He's also extremely bratty, and will pout and complain EVERYTIME you DONT give him what he wants. He's not very good with boundaries either. :/ He won't cross any hard lines because he NEEDS people to like him but he IS pushy along with being a brat. He'll give up eventually.

BAD ENDING - this happens from you, uh,,,,, being a normal person and finding him a little. too much. LMFAO You wanted him to treat you like you were an equal to him from the start and he was NOT having it. He is CLEARLY better than everyone else ALWAYS. Alternatively, you asked for basic respect a little further down the line of your relationship together and he obliged but you still didn't enable him enough and he lost interest once someone new started showering him in praise and affection. He is, unfortunately or, fortunately, depending on the person I GUESS LMAO, Just Like This.* (He is starved of real affection BUT it doesn't excuse the way he behaves and he won't change. It's somewhat motivated by insecurity but he won't ever unlearn his bad habits. He's Just Like This despite the original motivation behind his behavior.)

GOOD ENDING - You enabled him the entire time BUT you weren't a door mat for him to walk all over. You set hard boundaries and played the games, you demanded respect from him and he liked the confidence behind it and obliged. You got him so many gifts; beautiful flowers, delicious food like bean buns and sweet pastries, beautiful jewelry etc. He liked how confident you were in challenging him now and again despite still drowning him in praise and affection.

You've ended up with a mutual respect with him despite the fact that he IS still a bitch through and through, and extremely vain. and stuck up. and annoying. Atleast he's less annoying now and shares the spotlight with you a little more and a little more often.

SUGYN

BONUS ROUND!!! (just incase and also cause its fun >:3)

Sugyn's route includes a lot of secret hideaway meetups and exchanging note / letters silently. She'll leave letters and gifts on your desk in the dead of night and you'll find them in morning, wondering how she even got in. (*not personal desk inside your house, think more like your office in a room of the pact's current base of operations.) He'll also drag you away in the afternoons or middle of the night for a quiet walk to chat about life lately. Or even just whatever you both have on your mind. She enjoys reliable trustworthy company. She'll do subtlety affectionate things only you know how to spot, or know the meaning of. That specific little smile when she spots you, that specific little adjustment of her hair / clothing when she spots you looking her way, etc.

She enjoys reliable, trustworthy, honorable company. To her, the order of whispers IS honorable, as they do what must be done to ensure the safety of the orders and others lives no matter the cost or outward appearance of the order. If you're in The Pact and get sent out on a dangerous mission, she's going to trail your squad in secret and eliminate any unaccounted threats. He can't help it, he needs to make sure you're safe. She's the quiet sort and will happily listen to you talk her ear off about anything for hours. She's independent as well, and won't want to spend every moment with you.

BAD ENDING - You didn't trust her. You didn't let her in, you let her outward looks convince you she's bad news. You didn't let her wander or disappear once in awhile. Ultimately, you didn't trust her. She felt hurt and a little betrayed, and ghosted. Completely ignoring your existence.

GOOD ENDING - You DID trust her, you let her see your most vulnerable self and she gave you the same sight in return. You talked about your fears and concerns, you loved eachother but respected her needs and in turn, she gives back whatever she can. You didn't let his looks convince you he wasn't really in love with you- "he just needed to use you for something." You now have a cat-coded knife wife who will do anything to keep you safe <3 She'll comfort you through the darkest of times and love you fully and dedicatedly, even through her quiet times where she needs to disappear for awhile. She'll leave you notes telling you where she'll be or how long she'll be gone now. So you aren't ever truly lonely.
