He was a strange, small thing. They’d seen him lurking from the corner of their eyes, all wild eyed and broad of smile, enchanting the patrons of the bar within a second, and yet, for all his trouble, Faris saw not a drink in his hand nor food at his table. 

True, he was technically too young to be here, but hell, hadn’t they started lurking younger than he? With a huff they set down a tankard of watered down cordial and a bowl of stew, a chunk of bread beside it. “You know y’ aint supposed t’ be in here, right?” They asked, inviting themselves to sit at the table. “You’re lucky I’ve got sway wi’ the owner or you’d be turned out on y’ ear instead o’ fed.”

Celes didn’t know how to interact with Gau. She wasn’t good with children in general, but he was even more special. She had barely talked to him back when she had first joined the Returners because so much had happened, and now, in the World of Ruins, he had just joined the group again. She wanted to find everyone again, but it was difficult, even if they had to stay OPTIMISTIC about it. She was preparing some meat at a fire she had just lit when Gau approached her.

“It’s almost ready, Gau. I promise you’ll be the first one to get some.” She assured with a brief chuckle.
