Everyone deserved to get to try some of the treats. There were so many tasty desserts and it would have been a shame if someone missed out because they were busy working. As someone who appreciated the music, especially now that she’d had a few of the special drinks, she thought that if there was someone worthy of being rewarded it was DJ.  She grabbed a small plate, loading it with a fair sampling before maneuvering over and extending the plate. “A reward for your hard work,” she said generously with a smile. “You’ve honestly been killing it.”

Mayuri Barve, an organ transplant coordinator from DY Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre in Pune, said that in the last 15 years that she has been working in this field, only once did a husband come forward to donate his organ to his wife. Usually, wives, mothers and even fathers donate, she added. She said mothers and fathers are happy donors to their children. When both are unavailable, wives come forward. Often, if the daughter is unmarried, she becomes the donor. However, if a wife needs an organ, then it is most likely that she would be put on a waiting list.

jasmine had to resist the urge to roll her eyes the moment the other spoke, a small snort escaping the princess instead as she fixed the other with a glare. “do you say that to all the women that you attempt to charm? i highly doubt i’m the first one that you’ve attempted to court.” she was far too familiar with the process of being introduced to suitor after suitor, her heart growing numb to the words of flattery that were thrown her way. there was only ever one person that caught her interest and he was presumed dead, her father’s business having ‘gotten rid’ of the problem that had captured her affection. “i’m sorry, i’m sure you’re lovely really… i mean — you are the most tolerable of those that my father has tried to introduce me to,” her words trailed off as she let out a sigh and shook her head. “but my heart lies with someone else.”

El corazón de Bonnie siempre ha estado sediento de aventuras. Contra los deseos aprensivos de sus padres y desde muy joven, supo que su camino no yacía en una carrera lucrativa o un matrimonio arreglado. Desligarse de sus roles designados por nacimiento, sin embargo, tampoco era una tarea sencilla. Con dos progenitores de primera generación afirmándose en un país extranjero, un hermano dos años más joven pisándole la cola, y un intelecto pulible, tenía responsabilidades que asumir.

Mientras se hacía cargo de su familia y estudios durante el día, degustaba una probada de la vida nocturna cada que podía escaparse. Cuando llegó el momento de escoger un rumbo profesional, optó por la contabilidad, y aunque finalizó el curso con honores, jamás ejerció más allá de sus prácticas. La razón por la que decidió poner pie en américa, irónicamente, no fue su afición por los viajes. Su hermano menor, Felix, viajó por estudios a Estados Unidos en 2020 y, un día después de su llegada, se esfumó por completo. Dejó de contestar llamadas y mensajes, no regresó al campus de su universidad y la única pista que le quedó a su familia fue su última ubicación. El hecho, sin duda alguna, hizo que los cimientos de su vida se desmoronaran por completo. Su padre no volvió a articular palabra alguna, su madre perdió la fuerza para levantarse de la cama, y ella… Optó por no perder la esperanza. Incluso cuando las autoridades no le dieron respuesta alguna.

Desde la extraña desaparición de su hermano, Bonnie ha estado haciendo investigaciones propias y siguiendo cualquier pista que le lleve a su paradero. Su convicción la condujo, con ayuda de sus ahorros, hasta Arcadia Bay y, posteriormente, Main Vein. Cree estar lo suficientemente cerca de la verdad, por lo que ha decidido asentarse en la zona y hacer buenas migas con los locales. Vampiros o humanos.

En realidad, temor o repulsión es lo que la inglesa menos podría sentir. Desde que su vida se vio consumida por la pérdida y la negación, no ha encontrado mucho por lo que interesarse o distraerse. Adquirir conocimiento de esta nueva “sociedad” le mantiene tan viva como su deseo de hallar a su hermano, así que acepta a los vampiros con curiosidad y a veces frecuenta sus espacios.

"Flannel season is in session at the moment," Chloe grinned as she watched Aisha's nod of approval. Chloe scanned her reflection in the mirror nearby, picturing herself wearing the flannel jacket. "That's so true. This would be even cuter with a nice scarf and some booties, don't you think?" she responded brightly, smiling at her friend. "And this looks like a really good deal. It's guaranteed to last longer than others. Especially knowing the brand," Chloe explained. "The trick is memorizing the logos or the design on the back tag." Chloe held onto the jacket, knowing it was a keeper. "Did you find anything that you wanted to try?"

After cleaning out her wardrobe for the new season, Aisha figured a trip to the Treasure Chest was necessary. It's not that she didn't have enough seasonal clothes, she just figured some newer staple pieces would add some fun to her closet. Skimming through a rack of soft cardigans, she glanced up at the sound of a voice. Looking up at the jacket she was holding, she gave her nod of approval. "Definitely! I think it's super cute! And flannel is making its return, not that I believe it was ever out of style myself. Especially if you accessorize with it."

"Of the total organ donations in the country, 93% were living donors. This by itself is a statement that many organ donors in the country are women donors," he said. A paper published in Experimental and Clinical Transplantation Journal in 2021 found a huge gender disparity in the country. The data analysed organ transplants in 2019 and found that 80% of the living organ donors are women, mainly the wife or the mother, while 80% of the recipients are men.

Mandy was sipping on a pumpkin spice latte and sitting in her chair as a few people started to walk by. She looked up at the sky as the clouds were coming in. With a soft whine, she started to gather up her booth. “There’s a shop over there, I think we can move it all there,” she said to the person next to her.

“Those limited edition flavors are pretty funny,” Vince agreed. “I saw mocha flavored Peeps one time and I wondered if those were supposed to be trying to cater to adults, with the coffee flavor,” he said with a hum. “Can’t say no to peanut butter, I agree with you there,” he grinned. “Somehow it tastes even better in the springtime.”

"It's pretty much a fact they taste better during this time of year," She agreed, with a nod. "I think it's because of the fun limited edition flavors they have around Easter that makes them better, the original flavors are sad in comparison." she laughed and then gave a slight tap of her chin in thought. "A bit of a tough choice to narrow it down to just one, but I'm impartial to anything caramel or the peanut butter eggs myself."

"Oh yeah, it is," Jamie said. "Summer in LA can be a lot." He remembered having to buy a couple extra fans for the apartment. It wasn't something he had to worry too much about in San Francisco, because summer wasn't that much different than any other part of the year. "So, what's new with you? Anything exciting happening lately?"

"I bet that was nice. I'm kind of dreaming of the summer season already, though Merrock's summer is a bit milder than LA. Not that I'm complaining at all, I kind of like experiencing the seasons," she teased, nodding in agreement before raising her glass slightly in a mock toast. "Cheers." she smiled.

CAGE & CORDELIA'S WEDDING OCTOBER 19, 2024

Immediately after the ceremony, guests are invited to the reception space, which has been decorated with lights, wooden tables, handmade signs, crystal chandeliers, and perfectly mingles Cordelia's elegance with Cage's rustic side. A catered meal will be provided buffet-style, with plenty of food & desserts, as well as an open bar and specialty cocktails. There will be live music during the dinner before the DJ takes over, and a cowboy hat bar, where guests are invited to create their own hat to wear for the evening. Welcome to Cage & Cordelia's wedding reception! Please take a seat at any one of our tables (there is no assigned seating for this wedding, we want our friends and family to mingle), either inside the heated tent area, or outside. There is a dance floor that is half-covered, half open-air, and plenty for you to see and do while enjoying the evening. The wedding is kid-friendly, but please remember to leave the pets at home.

There will be an open bar for the evening. Beer, mixed drinks, wine, sodas, teas and lemonades will be available the whole night long. But! We also have specialty drinks that have been handcrafted by Elise Quinn and the staff of Taste. The bride's drink will be the Pomegranate French 75, and the groom's drink is the Blueberry Old Fashioned. Have one in their honor! Other special drinks for the night include whiskey collins, beer spritz (made with the groom's favorite beer, PBR) and sangria, with mocktail opens of apple ginger fizz, honey pear mocktail, and shirley temples for the kids.

To keep you well fed, we have tons of options from Overlook, Taste & Flour Co. Each table will have a basket of macarons, which pair delightfully with our cupcakes, both courtesy of Flour Co. The evening will start with hors d'oeurves from Taste, consisting of a charcuterie board at each table, and trays being passed around containing a number of pastry pizzas and flat breads, as well as shrimp and crab cakes. The meal is catered by Overlook, and served buffet style. Salads and fresh breads are offered first, followed by your choice of meat (chicken, fish or beef; pasta available for those who don't eat meat), and sides of macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and a steamed vegetable medley.

The evening will start with the same live band that provided music for the ceremony, with a selection of the bride and groom's favorite songs on strings. After the meal, however, our very own Aisha Thevar will be taking over as DJ! The dance floor better be moving all night long! Whether you want to shake your thing in the tent, where it's warm, or outside, where you're in the fresh air, there's space for you!

There are a number of special songs that the bride and groom have selected to dance to for the evening. Cage and Cordelia will share their first dance to Willie Nelson's Nobody Knows Me Like You. In lieu of dances with parents, Cordelia will dance with the groom's son, Colton Newman, and Cage will dance with the bride's daughter, Rosalyn Newman to You Are my Sunshine by Zach Bryan. At the end of the night, at the groom's request, everyone is invited out to dance to Family Tradition by Hank Williams Jr.

The bride and groom have also created a playlist that you can listen to here if you want to get into the vibes of the wedding.

If you're looking for something fun to do during the wedding (besides dancing, of course!), there's plenty to get involved with. The bride and groom have hung chandeliers under a tree on the property for photo opportunities (grab Stelly or Lucie and ask for a few snaps!), and there are a couple of fire pits set up for s'mores! Complete with little packaged marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate pieces. And perhaps most exciting... a cowboy hat bar! Everyone is welcome to make one cowboy hat to wear and take home with them as a souvenir, make it as fancy or as simple as you'd like, there are tons of accessories to add to them. Don't forget to check out Mandy Hartman's painting of the bride and groom, as well! (She'd probably love if you delivered her a snack and a drink when you see her hard at work.)

Beautiful Reality

A certain kind of comfort seemed to fill the soul of Arulmozhi as memories flooded his mind. He felt ecstatic to be back in the lush gardens of Thirunallam.

It was that naturally magical place that will always remain close to his heart.

As did his beloved queen. Vaanathi.

Which reminded him that he sought for her beloved at this moment while she seemed to play a game of hide and seek with him for the past few days or so he thought.

And here he had come searching for her,after being told by his elder sister about her whereabouts,only after much teasing.

“Oh Vennila” Arulmozhi whispered inaudibly, beholding his radiant moon who danced and twirled as the birds sang and chirped and the animals admired her.

She calmed his heart with her cool,silvery rays at the warm hours of the afternoon even as she made it skip a beat.

“Azhage!”

Arulmozhi ,making her aware of his presence as she stopped in her tracks, his loving voice making her nervous and shy all over again.

“Ilavarasae,what brings you here?”

“You don't understand, Vaanathi. Now,do you? ” Arulmozhi muttered, his strong voice more heavy with desperation and dripping with a passion that confused her.

“Pardon. What happened to you,thevare?” Vaanathi asked as she took a step back, unable to handle the scorching gaze of the prince standing very close to her.

“Don't you think we've been betrothed to each other for too long,dear?”

“That is true,thevare! But, aren't we getting married after 2 weeks?”

“Oh my beloved Vaanathi! This wait seems to be killing me.” He walked forward, closer to her as she kept stepping backwards only to realize that she was now standing at the edge of the pond and was about to lose her balance if Arulmozhi had not caught hold of her in time.

Gently carrying her to a tree,he made her rest in the shadows,adoring the love and the innocently mischievous enigma her ocean-like eyes possessed.

“Swami,someone will come–!”

“Shhh” He signaled her to calm down as he began to pour his feelings into words.

“To hear your sweet voice,to see your beautiful face every single day. To talk to you endlessly. Oh beloved,to adore you,to worship you is all this heart yearns for”

“Kannalane,to spend a lifetime with you is a dream come true.” Vaanathi declared with love and hope brimming in her soul.

Admiring the devotion in her eyes which was also mirrored in his he moved closer,cupping her face. His eyes asked her for a certain permission to move forward.

As Vaanathi blinked her eyes in approval he took her lips in a searing kiss expressing their passion through it.

They broke the kiss after what seemed like an eternity of sheer bliss,as a shy Vaanathi refused to look at the prince. Smiling and blushing all the way.

The loving and now emboldened prince made her look at him by placing a finger on her chin. Caressing her crimsoned cheeks he connected their foreheads together.

“Not a dream anymore. Yes?” The gleeful prince asked.

“It is. A beautiful reality,Mannava” The princess replied blithely.

A beautiful reality it was indeed.
