"Flannel season is in session at the moment," Chloe grinned as she watched Aisha's nod of approval. Chloe scanned her reflection in the mirror nearby, picturing herself wearing the flannel jacket. "That's so true. This would be even cuter with a nice scarf and some booties, don't you think?" she responded brightly, smiling at her friend. "And this looks like a really good deal. It's guaranteed to last longer than others. Especially knowing the brand," Chloe explained. "The trick is memorizing the logos or the design on the back tag." After cleaning out her wardrobe for the new season, Aisha figured a trip to the Treasure Chest was necessary. It's not that she didn't have enough seasonal clothes, she just figured some newer staple pieces would add some fun to her closet. Skimming through a rack of soft cardigans, she glanced up at the sound of a voice. Looking up at the jacket she was holding, she gave her nod of approval. "Definitely! I think it's super cute! And flannel is making its return, not that I believe it was ever out of style myself. Especially if you accessorize with it."

Everyone deserved to get to try some of the treats. There were so many tasty desserts and it would have been a shame if someone missed out because they were busy working. “Those limited edition flavors are pretty funny,” Vince agreed. “I saw mocha flavored Peeps one time and I wondered if those were supposed to be trying to cater to adults, with the coffee flavor,” he said with a hum. “Can’t say no to peanut butter, I agree with you there,” he grinned. “Somehow it tastes even better in the springtime.”

"It's pretty much a fact they taste better during this time of year," She agreed, with a nod. "I think it's because of the fun limited edition flavors they have around Easter that makes them better, the original flavors are sad in comparison." she laughed and then gave a slight tap of her chin in thought. "A bit of a tough choice to narrow it down to just one, but I'm impartial to anything caramel or the peanut butter eggs myself."

CAGE & CORDELIA'S WEDDING OCTOBER 19, 2024

Immediately after the ceremony, guests are invited to the reception space, which has been decorated with lights, wooden tables, handmade signs, crystal chandeliers, and perfectly mingles Cordelia's elegance with Cage's rustic side. A catered meal will be provided buffet-style, with plenty of food & desserts, as well as an open bar and specialty cocktails. There will be live music during the dinner before the DJ takes over, and a cowboy hat bar, where guests are invited to create their own hat to wear for the evening. Welcome to Cage & Cordelia's wedding reception! Please take a seat at any one of our tables (there is no assigned seating for this wedding, we want our friends and family to mingle), either inside the heated tent area, or outside. There is a dance floor that is half-covered, half open-air, and plenty for you to see and do while enjoying the evening. The wedding is kid-friendly, but please remember to leave the pets at home.

There will be an open bar for the evening. Beer, mixed drinks, wine, sodas, teas and lemonades will be available the whole night long. But! We also have specialty drinks that have been handcrafted by Elise Quinn and the staff of Taste. The bride's drink will be the Pomegranate French 75, and the groom's drink is the Blueberry Old Fashioned. Have one in their honor! Other special drinks for the night include whiskey collins, beer spritz (made with the groom's favorite beer, PBR) and sangria, with mocktail opens of apple ginger fizz, honey pear mocktail, and shirley temples for the kids.

To keep you well fed, we have tons of options from Overlook, Taste & Flour Co. Each table will have a basket of macarons, which pair delightfully with our cupcakes, both courtesy of Flour Co. The evening will start with hors d'oeurves from Taste, consisting of a charcuterie board at each table, and trays being passed around containing a number of pastry pizzas and flat breads, as well as shrimp and crab cakes. The meal is catered by Overlook, and served buffet style. Salads and fresh breads are offered first, followed by your choice of meat (chicken, fish or beef; pasta available for those who don't eat meat), and sides of macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes and a steamed vegetable medley.

The evening will start with the same live band that provided music for the ceremony, with a selection of the bride and groom's favorite songs on strings. After the meal, however, our very own Aisha Thevar will be taking over as DJ! The dance floor better be moving all night long! Whether you want to shake your thing in the tent, where it's warm, or outside, where you're in the fresh air, there's space for you!

There are a number of special songs that the bride and groom have selected to dance to for the evening. Cage and Cordelia will share their first dance to Willie Nelson's Nobody Knows Me Like You. In lieu of dances with parents, Cordelia will dance with the groom's son, Colton Newman, and Cage will dance with the bride's daughter, Rosalyn Newman to You Are my Sunshine by Zach Bryan. At the end of the night, at the groom's request, everyone is invited out to dance to Family Tradition by Hank Williams Jr.

The bride and groom have also created a playlist that you can listen to here if you want to get into the vibes of the wedding.

If you're looking for something fun to do during the wedding (besides dancing, of course!), there's plenty to get involved with. The bride and groom have hung chandeliers under a tree on the property for photo opportunities (grab Stelly or Lucie and ask for a few snaps!), and there are a couple of fire pits set up for s'mores! Complete with little packaged marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate pieces. And perhaps most exciting... a cowboy hat bar! Everyone is welcome to make one cowboy hat to wear and take home with them as a souvenir, make it as fancy or as simple as you'd like, there are tons of accessories to add to them. Don't forget to check out Mandy Hartman's painting of the bride and groom, as well! (She'd probably love if you delivered her a snack and a drink when you see her hard at work.)

Esmeray was born to two loving parents, both of whom adored their daughter with everything they had. She was the only child of Zehar and Ömer Yildiz. Shortly before her arrival into this world the Yildiz’s moved from Turkey to Merrock, Maine. See even though moving to Merrock had been part of the plan for years, getting pregnant with Esmeray wasn’t. Regardless, her parents were delighted when they found out.

Growing up Esmeray was a happy child at home. She was so infectious with her laughter and smile that her family quickly nicknamed her “Sol,“ and the name was one she fell in love with from a young age. She tried her hardest to live up to it every day.

(bullying tw) Despite the loving household Esmeray had things at school were different for her. For some reason, one Esme couldn’t seem to understand, the kids in her grade always looked at her funny. The girls never wanted to talk to her about anything, no-one made an effort to sit with her at lunch, during gym she would always get picked last, and her locker usually had some sort of goop or slime smeared on it as ‘the prank of the day.’

She found her escape in books and gardening. One day she picked up a copy of ‘Harry Potter’ and the brunette was hooked since. It wasn’t long before she was trying to read as many books as possible, from all different genres. If she wasn’t reading, then she was listening to audiobooks while she gardened.

With a lot of hard work, she ended up graduating top of her class, and her parents were proud. After graduation Esmeray took some time to travel around Europe for a bit. She did some backpacking and, in her adventures, met many lovely, and not so lovely, people along the way. She went to places like Paris, Peru, Japan, China, Egypt, and Prague. She spent some time in Turkey but only when her parents would go visit family there.

Now a days her parents have moved back to Turkey and Esmeray lives on the coast with Darrius Powell, Aisha Thevar & Emeline Newman, loving every minute of it. She has a bearded dragon named Reptar that she absolutely adores and works as a florist at Lavender Lane.

The moment of was hardly as bad as the later when it came to impacts. She’d made one and it might be terrible later but for now, she was good. “I happen to have that and a heat pack at the house,” she said with a nod. “If all else fails, I could phone in a favor at work. They have options.” It really wasn’t going to be that serious though. Zarah knew as much. She felt pretty strongly about it looking worse than it actually was. She nodded, smiling softly. “I’m sure it’ll lure in all sorts of creatures. Bugs might not be enjoyable but the street cleaners are bound to pop by before it gets too horrible.”

A part of her wondered if she maybe ought to go and find a broom to go clean it up. She wasn’t going to be ridiculous though. She would, use her the nearby trash can to throw some of what hit the ground. “Some might be still edible,” she said with a nod. “I was mostly meeting a craving and then planned to drop some by work, then just enjoy the rest of my day.” She shrugged. “I’m not keeping you from anything, am I?”

She nodded slightly, knowing that the surprise or shock of it all probably caused a bit of adrenaline so it hadn't hurt as much after the fact. "Well, if you do feel the effects of the fall later, having an icepack should help," She suggested, giving a small grin at her comment, as she glanced over at the strewn donuts. "Though feeding the wildlife is always a bonus. Hopefully, they don't develop a penchant for sweets and bug every stray passerby holding baked goods," she joked, the thought slightly amusing.

"A pretty good start," she agreed, since she was sure she'd lay in her mistake for a few minutes before returning to her feet. She smiled at her thanks and gave a nod in return. "You're welcome! And I wouldn't mind one," she took the wet wipe from the other, wiping her hands off. "Were you in a hurry to get anywhere, or just taking a morning stroll?"
