This has gotta go down as one of my proudest achievements this year. Winning the award of Pageant Influencer - Past Queen at the Universal Inspiration Awards 2019 was totally unexpected and as you can see from the pics it made me quite emotional. This year has been extremely difficult health wise but I believe that strength can be found in pursuing your dreams with determination, consistency and dedication. I strive to empower others around me, I thrive seeing their achievements and watching them grow, so to be nominated for this award was a real honour for me. Huge thanks to the organiser @sacharjones for sharing my nomination with me; "Kat is such a fantastic woman and a truly amazing figure for self love and self confidence, after winning @missinternationalcurve in 2017, she created her own campaign and successfully launched her own YouTube channel. The Universal Inspiration Awards last night was such a fantastic event. Sacha pulled out all the stops in single-handedly organising such a prestigious event. Every little detail had been considered, everything from the food to the gift bags no stone left unturned. So lovely to see so many people coming together to raise money for @asisterhood creating awareness for such worthy causes like stopping acid attacks in India, ending female genital mutilation in Africa, Asia and the Middle East and to support The Black Mambas; South Africa's first all female anti-poaching unit. To be involved in something that can make such a huge difference to women worldwide is empowering. Even though we are but a drop in such a vast ocean...every penny helps and I am honoured to be a part of that.
