Why am I seeing posts about getting anything but an A is failure. Why? Why isn't okay to accept that you tried your hardest but still didn't get an A. A post saying that you don't meet the studyblr standards if you don't have all A's. I'm shocked. Why are people saying this?
That’s so....awful??? oh my gosh. i am so thankful that i’m not seeing any of these posts, but please please please know that just because you do not have all A’s does not mean that you are a failure, at all. it just means that you have more to learn, and have more opportunities to better yourself -- onwards and upwards, you know? all you can ask from yourself is your best, and all you can do is learn from your mistakes and decide how to move forward. some of the most brilliant people I know definitely didn’t make all A’s in school -- one of my best best friends got a B in her serial killers psych class, which effectively moved her from a 4.0 to a 3.94 (what a tragedy, i know lolol) despite spending hours upon hours studying, just because her teacher was impossible. similarly, i have friends who did jack shit in class but got A’s because they knew how to work their teachers and work the system. the ideal, of course, is to marry hard work with common sense and tactics, (and kindness to your professors!!!) but there are always things that are out of your control. there are so many factors that go into your grade outside of your dedication and hard work which is so unfortunate but true. it sucks that the grades you get can determine your future path, it’s so shitty, but know that your grades do not define your worth, brilliance, intelligence, or capabilities in any way shape or form. it is so hard to believe that when you spend your entire academic career being taught the opposite, which is why i think that sort of mindset is getting spread around. but!! please trust me on this one -- you’re fcking radiant xx
