Congratulations to Kate Petley who is taking Colorado by storm with two exhibitions: as curator, Petley has put together “The Stubborn Influence of Painting”, opening June 10th at BMoCA, an exhibition examining how the history of painting acts as a silent collaborator in the work of artists who create in other mediums. The influence of painting connects these artists directly and indirectly, establishing common ground in unexpected ways. Works on view include photography, textiles, ceramics, video, and mixed-media constructions.
