She detested him and his cowboy antics, but secretly was glad someone who wanted to save the world didn't need to listen to every damn order.

He'd risked his life for New York; he'd made the sacrifice play.

So Maria Hill had Stark's back in whatever tiny little ways she could, even though she thought he needed to do a bit more growing up.

My First Case Is...What? || the-stark-knight-rises

The file that waited on his desk made Sam furrow his brow in confusion.  He wasn't expecting his first case this early.  He sighed as he opened the dossier on his client.  He stared in disbelief at the charges.  "Drunk and disorderly on top of a destruction of public property," Sam mumbled to himself as he continued to glance over the file.  "Jesus...this is going to be a tough one."  He found the Post-It attached to the file to let him know that the client would be in at 10.  "Fantastic."

The young attorney looked at the personal information and details of the case, groaning when he saw the name of the person he was to represent.

Written in bold letters across the top was the name Tony Stark.
