I’ve always wanted to go to Akigohara just because it’s impossibly green and beautiful. So much so that it’s creepy. Plus, it makes me feel how we’re rebuilding up from our heart the life we want. “Poveglia Island” - painting (sold) for my solo show THE SPACES WE HAUNT at @archenemyarts This painting is based on a real island near Venice, Italy that once served as a quarantine dumping ground during the Black Plague as well as a mental hospital in the 1920s. There has been over 100,000 deaths here over the years and the soil on the island is said to be 50% human ash.
