May I present the ugliest (affectionate), tiniest baby I ever did see 🎉✨💕
#snuggled up between Tender mom (Hemlock) and No-Nonsense mom (Lupine)#with Introvert mom (Hawthorn) in the background#while dad is away filling up on food#baby happens to be exposed cuz hemlock was feeding it and there are many siblings so the momblanket is kinda crowded at feeding#these things are so tiny. like gumdrops.. like ive cared for hummingbird nestlings but gah dam these are so small#also for clarifications sake this is not the nest i wouldve given them. the tray was meant for treats and enrichment hence the cuttlebone#which i ended up tying there for their sake. lupine didnt fall for buckwheats singing and hawthorn minded her own business so i didnt#expect buckwheat to win TWO wives at once to lay At Least 9 fertile eggs (out of 12) in the snack dish#its a good thing lupine went 'you guys dont know shit let me help you' n pulled out all the stops to do everything PROPER#thus the luxurious nest that even includes litter pellets and her entire butt's feathers filling it out#society finch
