God I am absolutely obsessed with the idea of Micah and a genuinely devoted/believer darling. Also, a potential AU with Micah and Lavi fighting over the same darling a la Exorcist. I would LOVE to see those two fight.
(TW NONCON - I got carried away. I hope this doesn't make you uncomfortable, I love your characters so much. This got me out of a writers block!)
She was overjoyed to join the convent, clutching all her worldly possessions in a little sack. Barefoot, more than a little nervous, conscious of her hatless state, she bowed and stuttered apologies to the nuns who assessed her. She’s a true believer, and standing with clasped hands and a tired, bright smile underneath the yawning stained glass windows feels like a dream come true. She’s unworthy, but she feels determined. Her past was a mess, a series of tragedies and mistakes, but as she stared up at the glints of sunset streaming through the lurid reds and greens of the glass, she felt hope, bubbling and unfamiliar, blooming in her chest.
Then Micah passed by, like an angel clad in priest's clothes, and her blood turned to ice. After being momentarily stunned by his statuesque beauty, the exquisite curve of his cheeks, the lush glint of the dying sunlight on his hair, she felt her stomach drop. Some ancient instinct was trying to warn her against his piercing gaze, some animal part of her reacted to the miniscule traces of raw, predatory interest he carefully schooled behind his smooth and calm smile. She stumbled back, automatically, and bowed her head as a nun chastised her. She spent the evening in her new room rebuking herself as she carefully laid out her uniform, tracing over the fabric in wonder. To act so rudely to the head priest, to have such impure thoughts, just what was she thinking? Her excitement was dampened – but just barely. This place would be the making of her, she was certain.
But then things became complicated.
She was a novice, yes, but somehow it struck her as odd how she always got assigned to clean Micah’s private quarters. She felt his eyes on her as she swept and scrubbed the floors. She could hardly admit to herself how drawn she was to his beauty, his deep, steady eyes, his lips like rose petals. She stole furtive glances at his profile as he bent over his desk, absorbed in his writing. She felt her heart flutter, task forgotten under her hands, and her expression would go slack with admiration. He was glorious in his crisp white robes, like a painting of the angels themselves. Then his eyes would snap to hers, and shame flooded her as she dropped her gaze. She must have had some wickedness in her heart, she berated herself to the sound of her own heartbeat, because she imagined there was a sensuous trace of mirth on those lips. Holy lips, she reminded herself harshly. She ducked her head and answered his warm, calm questions with short and stuttered replies. She didn’t see the way his eyes roamed over her body as she cleaned on her hands and knees, didn’t notice the way he adjusted his robes over his lap, the miniscule tightness in his voice.
Then, one night, with her shoulders hunched as she scrubbed the spotless floor, she became aware of Micah standing slowly. She didn’t look, but heard his swift footsteps cross the room behind her.
Then the heavy, sorrowful click of a lock.
She startled, whipped her head around, and found him staring down at her with an expression she had never seen before. It made every nerve in her scream with an urgency she had never experienced before. Dazed, she sat up, wiped her sopping hands hastily on a cloth, and hesitantly tried to summon her voice. How naive she was.
It ended with her own breathy moans echoing on the austere wooden panels of room, blind panic and pleasure mingling as he licked her neck. His fingers rolled her nipple, tugging gently, slow and torturous, as if to distract her from his other hand pumping in and out of her wet cunt. His hard, supple body was over hers, trapping her to his soft bed effortlessly. His skin was hot, almost feverish, where it met hers. The noises her body was making made her feel tense and weak all over, and all the while Micah’s steady, rich voice blew against the shell of her ear.
“This is what you wanted, isn’t it? All those soliticious looks. Hm? Go on, admit it.” He was breathing hard, and as he dragged her closer to yet another climax, her voice was choked and pitched as she tried to protest.
“N-no, I – this is wrong, ah-“ Her legs trembled uncontrollably, and his laughter was low and mocking on her skin.
“Admit it.” His voice was hard and brooked no room for argument. She shuddered as he gripped her hair, pulled it back roughly, her pleas dying on her lips. She swallowed hard, her voice meek and brimming with self-contempt.
“I want it,” She sniffled at last, guilt racking her body alongside white hot pleasure. She felt the tears rolling down her face, and she thought in a haze that she could feel his lips curling on her skin. "Ah-! I want it!"
The way he was also so remarkably calm afterwards, while she was a spent, shaking mess, fluids dribbling out and staining his white sheets. The way he would trace her face with his delicate, holy hands - she fought back the instinct to flinch - and the measured, reasonable cadence of his voice, as though nothing untoward had occured. It made her conviction wilt and falter, her head swimming with doubt. Guilt seemed to creep over her and seep into her bones. She felt the heavy weight of responsibility, and her eyes brimmed with fresh tears.
“We wouldn’t want the others to know about your corruptive tendencies, would we?” He said dryly, tracing circles on her back as he slowly closed his robes over his body again. “But don’t worry. I can help you, little flower.” When he pressed a gentle kiss to her cheek, she wondered in silent terror if it was all just a dream.
Tumblr is crazy because sometimes you'll find the most deliciously written scrumptious fanfic ever only to see it's from an anon. It's like an angel came down to bless you but you can't see their face because of the holy light surrounding them
Like my god anon this is so good I was melting. I desperately NEED Micah to pull my hair as he orders me to confess my dirty thoughts. The way he's the one who starts it, the way he just casually puts his clothes back on like nothing happened and the way he threatens you is just so...... This man is ruining my life and i'm so happy about it
Also something I personally love, since I haven't fully explained how the two of you met, you guys always come up with your own way of meeting him and it's always such a delight to see. I love reading all of them.

(Ya'll broke me down. This is all four parts, no links, no tricks. Enjoy!)
Tumblr media
One:
If it’s not the rooster who wakes me up, it will be one of the Golden Girls. Lately, I’ve been able to squeak in some extra sleep during the mornings, but today the Golden Girls aren’t having it. They’re causing a fuss in the yard, and as I roll over towards my window I can see Sophia glaring inside at me.
“Hold your horses, girls!” I fussed as I stepped out of bed. “I’m getting up!”
They’re making a racket out there, and I have to wonder if old lady Murphy’s mastiff has come sniffing around the fence again. He doesn’t do anything, he just seems to have a crush on my girls. Which they don’t take as kindly to.
By the time I’m dressed and ready, the Golden Girls have calmed down. Their mooing has stopped, and the rooster has decided to make the alarm now.
“What’s up with all of you?” I called out, holding the feeding bucket. “You were making such a fuss! I wouldn’t be surprised if I got a noise complaint from town.” I was walking to the storage shed when I noticed a strange print in the mud. It wasn’t one of the Golden Girls, and it certainly wasn’t one of the chickens or sheep. It was large, massive really, and it reminded me of a scene from that old dinosaur movie.
“What on earth?” I muttered to myself. I was studying it closely when Rose started sniffing around my head and nudging the bucket with her foot.
“Alright, alright,” I huffed. “I’ll get your breakfast.” The girls had all the hay and grass they could ask for, but that morning offering of grains was not to be delayed at any cost.
I was hefting scoops of it into their troughs when I heard the phone ringing from inside the house. I quickly finished off the feeding, tossing some along the ground for the chickens as I raced inside.
I was breathless when I grabbed the phone, so the caller got an earful of heavy breathing before I answered. “Riley Farms, we’re out of eggs,” I said.
“Stella?”
I walked to the fridge to get myself a drink. “Yes? Who is it?”
“This is Alice Dunlop from the festival planning committee.” She sounded quite meek as she said this. Usually the festival committee members were a bit hoity toity.
“It’s about the chosen for this year's festival.”
“I plan to attend,” I huffed. “I told Mrs. Greenhill I already was fulfilling my role as chosen.” I took out the orange juice then went in search of a cup. I was excited to attend this year’s festival. A few years ago, I would have skipped out too, but once I moved back home, it became a north star for me. Some people found being one of the chosen for the Festival of Ash to be too daunting or too frightening. The Paralangua were a site to behold, depending on how you looked at them of course. Living in Charcourt, you got your chance to spy them occasionally. They didn’t come into town but maybe once or twice a year, and if you did see one it was probably one of the elders. But they were monstrous, pale, clay creatures, who I always found a fascination with.
“Is that why you’re calling? Did she forget to fill out the paper again?” Mrs. Greenhill loved her chardonnay.
“No, she did.” Her voice quivered in a strange way. “That’s the thing, Stella, you’re the only one who has confirmed.”
I hesitated reaching for a cup and stood still. “You mean out of the five chosen for this year-”
“You’re going solo,” Alice stated plainly and nervously.
Has this ever happened at the Festival of Ash before? One or two have certainly not shown up each year. But four?
“We’re going to have a meeting with some of the elders. They want you to attend if that's possible at all. Just to discuss what could possibly end up happening at this year’s ceremony.”
“They still want to go through with it?” I gasped. “Even if I’m the only one there? What would be the point?”
“There’s still five of the parlangua attending.” Of course, they never missed a festival. But still, this didn’t seem like the kind of ceremony worth having. Five on one!
Oh my god, five on one? Is that even possible?
“Stella?” Alice said gently, pulling me from my thoughts.
I gasped. “Oh, yes! I can attend.”
She sighed with relief. “Good. That’s good.”
That made me wonder if there was something going on behind the scenes. It would also explain the dinosaur sized footprint left in my yard. Someone was trying to sneak a peek.
“It’s going to be this evening, around six. We’ll be providing a meal for the inconvenience.” I heard papers shuffling and the sound of a door opening. “We’ll see you then.”
“I’ll be there, thanks for letting me know.” I hung up the phone then stood there, running my tongue along the edge of my teeth.
Five on one, that certainly would be a big family. I sat back down at the table, continuing to think. Was it even possible to hold the traditional ceremony as it was this way? After all it was all a huge chase in the labyrinth below the town. A show of how mates are fated together despite the challenges the labyrinth put between them.
“Me and five parlangua,” I muttered. I started growing a bit warm under the collar. “Me and five,” I whispered again. Five big, strong, handsome paralangua. Their pale scales, their strong arms, their big hands. Oh my god, ten giant hands touching me.
The sound of the Golden Girls fussing again snapped me out of my thoughts. “Stop thinking like one of those romance novels.” I finally got a glass and poured myself a drink. “You have no idea what the council is going to talk about at this meeting. They may be canceling the ceremony. Who knows?” I drank, still fixated a touch on those ten hands.
“Get ahold of yourself, Stella,” I said loudly then chugged down my orange juice. “You still have some work to do!”
I made a quick breakfast before going back out onto the farm. Ten hands, would be nice around to take care of things. The Broken Cart Grange had been in my family for generations, and now, it was only down to me. Lonesome, little old, me. After my parents died I rented the place out for a long time, until Troy came into my life.
Ugh, Troy.
I went around the chicken coops, checking for eggs, and once again, I saw one of the dinosaur sized footprints from before.
“I wonder if they’re spying on me,” I muttered to the chickens around me. “That’s usually part of the tradition you know.”
One of my chickens stares at me with a blank face then tilts her head.
“Oh yes! It’s not supposed to happen, but curious future mates will be curious future mates.” I looked out the window of the coop to the long road leading from the farm towards the main road into Charcourt. “I wonder if paralangua children come out as eggs,” I chuckled to myself as I found some eggs tucked away. I shuddered, and went on working.
That evening I drove to the council building. It was on the cusp of Charcourt and the paralangua territory, going down through the swampy area. The tall twisted trees covered any sort of sunlight, creating shadows and shapes along the path that tricked the eye and made the senses heighten.
I came upon the old bridge that crossed over the council building. It was over a tall embankment with a thick, speeding river underneath. It was told that the paralangua used this river to hide back in the old days and many lost souls could be found at the bottom.
“They sure do have the atmosphere right,” I mumbled under my breath before driving over.
I’m not sure when the council building had been built, but it was one of the newer structures compared to the Charcourt Castle where the Festival of Ash ceremony ended. I was coming upon the door when a laugh stopped me dead in my tracks.
“Well, aren’t you a tall sight for short eyes,” a parlangua came out from around the corner. This was my first time seeing one so close. I’d caught some in the distance before and at the festivals, but this one was so close I could touch them.
I then registered what he had said. “What?”
He cleared his throat. “I said, tall sight for-” he stopped, seeming to take in what he said as well. “I was remarking at how nice and tall you-” He stopped again and cleared his throat. “Let me get to the door for you.” He opened the door for me and I walked in with him close behind.
“Are you here for the meeting?” He asked.
I nodded, still taking him in. He was tall, powerful, I mean, all paralangua are. That’s nothing new. He had remarkable hind quarters, and thick strong legs, along with a pooch to his belly.
“I’m uh…I guess the solo act for the ceremony this year.” I laughed, but the paralangua went stiff and his eyes widened. His tail flicked out and with a slight turn of his head he gazed down at me, a sudden nervousness to his stance.
I licked my lips out of nerves. “Wh-which way is the meeting.”
“So you’re Stella.” He rubbed at his neck.
“Ah, so you’ve heard of me then?” I tried to joke around, but really I was on pins and needles. I swallowed and shrugged. “I guess they’re going to try and move up a set of chosen. That’s my guess anyways. It’s fine if I have to skip.”
The paralangua still seemed nervous. “I don’t think that’s what’s happening,” he murmured.” My name is Priapus, by the way.” He held out his hand. “My friends call me Reap.”
That big hand enveloped mine, the scales were smooth and cool. They almost felt silky on the palm, a little more textured on the backside. I liked it. Ten of them!  “Nice to meet you.” I said, shaking out my ridiculous thoughts.
He seemed anxious for a second. “I am one of the five paralangua for the ceremony.”
This big boy? I thought out of shock. This slab of big, hulking, white scales was one of the fellow members of the ceremony? A chosen like me?
“Oh,” was all I could manage to squeak out.
Reap pressed his mouth together in a firm line. “Not exactly the way we are supposed to meet, I know.”
“Yeah, well, strange circumstances all around.” You motioned down the hall. “Is this the way towards the meeting?”
“Yeah, I think so.” Reap walked with me down the hallway, keeping a couple of steps behind me. “A bit strange isn’t it?”
I glanced over my shoulder at him. “Which part?”
He chuckled. “I guess everything. I don’t think there’s been a no show like this since one of the first ceremonies. At least, that’s what I’ve been told. One of the other chosen paralangua called us a cursed group,” he forced a laugh. “I don’t know. Maybe we are. Maybe we aren’t.”
I held back so me and Reap walked side by side. “Maybe I’m just lucky!”
“Huh?”
I shook my head and looked at an open door. A girl around my age stepped out then waved us both in. “Good, you made it!” She waved me into the room then gave Reap a strange, almost scolding look before scurrying in and motioning to a table loaded with food. “Go ahead and make yourself a plate. I’m Alice, and apparently I’ll be handling this meeting,” she said with a chip on her shoulder.
“Are the council not coming?” Reap asked.
Alice held up a recording device and laid it down onto the table. “Here’s your council.” She sighed and shook her head. “They say there’s other festival work that needs their attention as well. But I’d say they’re just-” She shook her head and stopped herself from saying something she’d regret. “Just waiting on the others so I can read out the email I was sent.”
“It’s just an email?” Reap said in disbelief. He scoffed and slapped his arms against his sides. “I thought this was important?”
“Oh, but it is,” Alice said sarcastically. She then sighed and shrugged. “It is what it is. We’re lucky they’re taking their time, rather than springing it on everyone the night of the ceremony.”
I was surprised. I thought the council was this well oiled and highly traditional machine that was perfectly ready for any circumstance. But this sounded like a bunch of teenagers running a club!
Alice gave me a knowing smile. “Not to worry. I’m taking care of this. Not going to scare you with five giant men in one night.” We both looked at each other for a moment, both of us drawing lines from what she said. “This is my first big project, I’m a bit nervous,” she murmured.
I smiled. “It’s okay.”
Reap was poking at food on the table, eating small bites and chewing them slowly. He seemed distant, lost in thought. I hope he wasn’t disappointed with what was being offered. Not the food, but me, I mean.
A few minutes later two more paralangua enter the room, one is very tall with a lithe frame, the other is a tad shorter and stockier.
“Solomon, Venus,” Alice greeted them. “Why don’t you both go ahead and get something to eat.”
“Where are the robes?” The stockier one asked.
Alice chuckled. “I’m the only council member tonight, Venus.”
Venus scoffed, his lip curling up over his sharp teeth. “Figures. I’ll bet you anything those idiots are off pre-gaming.”
“Now, now, Venus,” the lithe paralangua said. His eyes rose up, looking at me in a way that could have melted me into a giggling puddle. “We have a guest here. Remember your manners.”
“I ain’t a kid!” Venus huffed and stormed over to the food.
The lithe paralngua came over towards me. I can’t describe just how elegantly he moved, how beautiful he was. There was an elegance to his face, a sharp masculinity that was as fine as porcelain.
“You must be Stella,” he said gently. “It’s very nice to meet you. My name is Solomon.”
My mouth had gotten very dry, and it was hard to swallow the cornbread in my mouth. I covered my lips with a napkin and nodded. “Sorry, was eating.”
Solomon had a soft smile upon his face. “My bad.” He looked around the room. “Shame we had to meet this way. The labyrinth is so much more…atmospheric.”
I had a feeling he had another word in mind, but toned it down due to the situation. I wiped my mouth once the food was swallowed. “It could be worse.”
He nodded, a serious glint in his eye. “That could be said for anything.”
Alice was checking her watch and she got a scowl on her face. “Do any of you know where Chandra and Eros are?”
“Afraid not,” Reap answered.
Solomon just shook his head.
Venus was chewing, but he spoke up anyway. “Somewhere jacking off.”
“Venus!” Alice snapped and stormed over towards the door to look out.
I noticed Venus was giving me looks, strange glances that last a second too long so I would catch him each time.
“Don’t mind Venus. He doesn’t like letting his nerves show,” Solomon replied. “I would say he and Reap are the shyest of the lot.” He then glanced towards the door. “The other two who have yet to arrive are far from.”
“What are you?” I asked.
Solomon smirked. “I prefer to be quiet.”
I smiled back at him, the unease that had been bothering me since this morning was slowly melting away. Somehow, putting faces to these ten hands was helping.
“So, what do you do?” Venus spoke up, causing me to jerk in his direction. Reap was standing behind him, a worried expression on his face.
“I have a farm,” I answered simply.
Venus had a piece of food in each hand. Despite his cranky expression, he did look very cute. “What kind?”
“Right now it’s just me, so I have just a few animals.”
Venus took a few steps towards me. “Like chickens?”
I wasn't sure what his tone was. He sounded both tense and curious. “Chickens, a few sheep, two goats, four cows I call the Golden Girls.”
Venus’ eyes lit up. “I love that show.”
I was about to offer to show him pictures when Alice came back in, two more paralangua dragged behind her. One was wearing a pearl necklace around his thick neck, the other was yawning and had painted nails. Or well, claws I guess.
“I was trying to wake him up,” the necklace wearing one said.
“I told you no one would be here?” The yawning one continued to yawn. He blinked his eyes, revealing them to be a bright pink.
Alice had a look upon her face. “It doesn’t matter. I still have some things to go over with all of you, Chandra.”
Chandra smirked, his pink eyes lighting up as Alice fussed at him. He reached for the table, picking up the recorder. “Could this meeting have been an email?”
“It is an email,” Reap replied.
Chandra smirked, but the other yanked the recorder from his hand. “Just because the council does it doesn’t mean you have to.”
“Careful there, Eros!” Chandra snapped. He then looked across the table at me and his pink eyes lit up. “Well, hello there.” He licked his teeth in a seductive way. “Is this our wifey?”
“Ew, don’t say wifey,” Eros scoffed. “Her name is Stella. A star,” his voice became dreamy. “And she deserves to be treated as such.”
I have so many feelings right now, I’m pretty sure I’m just blank.
“Everyone, sit down!” Alice snapped.
Chandra hissed through his teeth. “I bet you're fun. Too bad you’re not part of-”
Alice shook her head at him and Chandra shut his mouth, “Good, now that we’re all here, we can start this.” She moved towards the table, taking a head seat at the table and laying out a folder.
The room quieted more than it already had, and the paralangua were taking seats around the table. There was definitely a tension in the air that floated about the whole room. Despite the situation most of the tension seemed to be resting with poor Alice at the head. Left to do the dirty work of her superiors she was a lot more composed than I would be given the situation.
“Alright, so I am sure we’re all aware of the situation,” Alice spoke up. She was trying to sound in control, but there was a slight warble to her voice. “The other chosen haven’t returned home to Charcourt, leaving only one of the five to take the ceremony. Which is an unfortunate occurrence. The council, in their infinite wisdom,” she said with a roll of her eyes, “have left me a message which will hopefully clear things up.”
Pink-eyed Chandra raised his hand and Alice scoffed. “Yes, what is it?”
Chandra lowered his hand and leaned forward. “I don’t agree with the council.”
“She hasn’t said what the council has decided.” Solomon replied with a cool even tone. “How can you disagree already?”
“Because the council is full of out of touch misers,” Chandra waved his hand in the air. “I don’t doubt for a second they’re going to hurt her feelings.”
Eros perked up. “Whose feelings?”
“Hers.” Chandra pointed at me. “Why punish the good one of the bunch because the other four didn’t want to shirk up to their responsibilities?”
I was once again the center of attention and I wasn’t sure I liked that yet. “Well let's see what the council does say before we start jumping off cliffs.” I swallowed down the lump in my throat. “No reason to get angry just yet.”
“I heard rumors they were allowing volunteers to join up,” Venus grunted.
Reap jerked and looked frightened at the idea. “Volunteers?”
“Stop it now,” Alice called out. “Why are you rumor mongering when I am trying to give you the truth?” She huffed and snapped the paper out before her. “If you all don’t mind.” Her eyes glanced down. “As a reward for her loyalty to Charcourt and the traditions of the Festival of Ash, Ms. Stella Riley will be allowed to keep all five of the intended paralangua grooms, or choose the ones she feels are deserving. Despite the lack of chosen and spectacle for the ceremony, it will continue as planned. The labyrinth will be opened, but by all means, the end results will be decided by Ms. Stella Riley, rather than the usual chase the labyrinth provides.” Alice looked up from the printed email and I was for sure the center of attention now and forever.
I sat still, afraid to look at anyone in the room.
“Does that suffice?” Alice asked.
There was quiet, and with the quiet there was more tension and unease. A few beads of sweat were gathering at the nape of my neck and I knew I needed to say something, but I couldn’t think of anything at all except those ten damn hands again.
Solomon turned to me, placing his hand upon my arm in a gentle fashion. “What do you think, Stella? Are you okay with this?”
“I suppose.” I murmured and slowly looked around the room. “I’m just one person though. I’m not sure if I can handle-” I saw their eyes, all of them looking at me. There was an intensity, although not one of malice or even unease. Dare I even think they were aroused by the prospect?
Ten hands. Ten hands!
“I’d say you’re in a very lucky spot,” Chandra spoke up. “Five grooms, ten hands, what an easy life you’ll have from here on out.”
He said it, I thought to myself.
“But is it fair to the rest of us to have to share?” Venus snapped. He didn’t sound angry like he had before, instead he sounded concerned painted as irritation. “It’s easy to pick a favorite. Why should she be any different. Are we supposed to make a chore wheel of who gets time with her?”
“As if all the chosens of the past haven’t lived in polyamorous pods,” Eros replied with a sultry tone. “It’s not uncommon, hell, it’s practically the natural order of things. I remember my family growing up and how they all lived together as a unit.” He glanced across at Venus with a smirk. “Like we haven’t already-”
“Hush,” Venus hissed. “My point remains. That was a whole group of chosen. This is a singular chosen.”
“She seems capable,” Chandra replied. He then glanced to Reap who had been quiet this whole time. “Doesn’t she, Reap?”
Reap looked up nervously. “It’s her decision on who to keep. I say we leave it up to her and the ceremony.”
“But how does she do that?” Solomon asked. “If the usual labyrinth method isn’t to be the norm this year, then maybe we should figure out what to do instead.”
“I don’t think I’d have the heart to pick and choose like that,” I murmured. “You all seem very nice. At least from first impressions.”
There was quiet again and I was trying to find my voice to speak up. “I-” I took a breath to calm myself. “I’ve always wanted a big family. I used to but everyone is either gone or passed. It’s just me in that giant farmhouse ever since I moved back. And all I’ve ever wanted was a family, I’ve always wanted lots of kids.”
“Five grooms gives you a good chance,” Eros teased.
I smiled shyly. “I don’t mind the five of you, but if there is one of you who feels it isn’t what you wanted, I understand that as well.”
“The farm is lovely,” Reap replied, unintentionally giving away the fact he was the one who left the prints in the mud.
“It’s untraditional, that’s for certain,” Solomon replied. “But I think it’s the best option for all of us.”
Reap tentatively leaned forward. “Maybe we should give her a chance to get to know us. You know. Visit her a little before the ceremony.”
“That’s against the rules,” Venus snipped.
“Everyone does it every year though,” Chandra scoffed. “I think they’d over look it for us if they do it every year.”
“I believe they would, yes,” Alice interjected.
Reap turned to look at me, his gaze gentle and his smile slightly returned. “Would you be alright with that, Stella?”
A tingle went down my spine and I took a deep breath. “Sure, just be aware of my animals. That’s all I ask.”
Alice sighed in relief. “Well, if that settles that, then that’s the end of the meeting.” She crumpled up the printed out email and tossed it towards the nearest trash can. “I will see you all again at the ceremony. Stella, if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me. You can call at any time.” She gathered her things and left, leaving me and my five grooms alone in the conference room.
“Well, that was interesting.” Solomon stood up from the table. He looked back at the food spread out on the table behind us. “Do you think she remembered this is here?”
“We can finish it off, can’t we Venus?” Chandra jabbed.
Venus just glared at him.
“Maybe now would be a good time to set up a schedule between us and Stella before the ceremony. We should have enough time for each of us,” Reap spoke up.
“Schedules aren’t romantic,” Eros sighed.
“What, and just show up randomly to her place? She works, you know?” Venus snipped at him.
“I don’t mind, really. I’m usually alone on the farm anyways,” I murmured. All eyes were on me again. “I don’t mind visits.”
There was a hush between the five of them.
“You’ve got enough to deal with,” Solomon said sternly, mainly for the rest of them. “We can work out a schedule between us, all you have to do is be your charming self.”
I smiled shyly. “I can do that.” I wasn’t sure what to expect from all this, and although I was excited by the prospect, I was trying to keep my expectations low. I had five chances, I wasn’t going to waste a single one of them. Lithe stoic Solomon. Flirty, ethereal Chandra. Shy and sweet Priapus, aka Reap. Venus, who was hot headed but vulnerable. And lastly, lovely and romantic Eros. I didn’t really have to decide, they were all mine for taking if I wanted. That was nerve wracking alone, but I was deeply excited.
Tumblr media
Two:
I noticed looks at the store while I was getting some supplies. Usually, the farming supply store was one of those places people paid no mind. Everyone was busy with their own lives, business, and animals. But today I could tell people were paying that mind. I suppose word had gotten out that Stella Riley was the only chosen this year. I quickly checked out, never one to enjoy that sort of limelight upon me. Why I was one of the chosen, I’ll never quite understand.
Once I got home I simply sat in the truck. My hands slipped from the steering wheel and I leaned back against the old seat and let out a heavy sigh.
“Oh boy.” I opened my eyes, staring up at the duct tape that patched up the ceiling. “What am I doing?” I patted my cheeks. “Everyone knows. What was I thinking?” I yelled out loud. I grabbed hold of the steering wheel again, thinking I should drive back to the headquarters and ask someone, anyone, if I was losing my mind agreeing to this nonsense.
Instead, I got out of the truck and went to the back. “You got greedy. What would Grandma say?” I grumbled under my breath. “Stella Riley, you can’t put both hands in the cookie jar!” I said mimicking her. I pulled down the tailgate and started to yank out the chicken feed.
“Let me help you with that.”
Every hair on my body bristled with anticipation. I looked up, seeing Solomon approaching from the barn. He must have been waiting.
Oh God! My first meeting, or well, my first one on one session with them. I stood erect as he approached, unsure exactly what to say. Did he hear me yell in the truck? Oh God! What am I supposed to do? Wait, he asked me a question. Say something, Stella! Say anything!
“I’ve got it, it’s okay.” I had a nervous lilt to my voice. “I’m used to it.”
Solomon came up, taking the bag of feed from me. “I’m sure you are. But what’s the harm in accepting a little help?”
I smiled, fidgeting for a second. “I keep it over here.” I motioned towards the barn, leading him towards the backdoors. Already the Golden Girls were gathering at the entrance to watch. They were entranced by Solomon, which I don’t blame them. He was tall and lithe compared to other paralangua, which gave him an almost ethereal appearance.
“There we are,” he murmured as he set the bag down.
“Thank you.” I tried to smooth down my hair. I hadn’t been expecting one of them so soon. I figured I had at least until this evening. I was wearing my old overalls and boots, I didn’t look quite the part of a girl expecting a suitor.
Solomon was luckily looking around the barn. “It’s nice here.”
“Family heirloom, I suppose.” I chuckled and my anxiety was apparent in my voice cracking. “Uhm-so you’re my first.”
Solomon looked back at me, a slight smile came to his face. “I was quite lucky to win that draw.”
“A draw?” I asked, leading him back towards the house.
“Well, more like several games of rock, paper, scissors,” he shrugged. “It was the only way we could convince Venus it was fair.” He smiled and shook his head.  “We were going to do it alphabetically, but Venus argued that put him at the end.”
I smiled. “I could tell he was nervous at the meeting though.”
Solomon sighed. “He does like to put on his bravado. He’s younger and smaller, so he feels like he needs to…act in order to be seen. When really, I think Venus just needs to be himself to get noticed. Then again, I’m the oldest, and I know ‘be yourself’ is the oldest advice in the book.”
“I remember my Grandpa giving me that advice when I was a kid,” I murmured. I could even picture him sitting at the kitchen table, leaning forward to me as I cried into the glass bottle coke he bought me at the general store. “I hated it. So, I can see where Venus’ mind could possibly be.”
Solomon nodded. “Youth and age have their pros and cons.”
I chuckled, matching Solomon’s wise smile. I opened the door and we walked into the kitchen. “Would you like anything?” I asked. “Tea? Coffee?”
Solomon’s eyes went around the room, there was a softness to his gaze. His large hand came down on the back of a chair at the table. “This really is a picturesque place,” he murmured. “Look at all the old tins.” He motioned towards the little shelf that ran all the way around the edge of the cabinets and kitchen itself.
My eyes went around the room and brought a nostalgic smile to my face. “My grandmother collected them.”
“Generations of things,” he murmured. Solomon then looked back at me and his smile brightened. “I love that.”
My cheeks burned and I quickly turned away. “I also have some sparkling water in the fridge.”
Solomon grunted as he sat down at the table. His tail curled up under the chair then hung over one of the rungs. “I wouldn’t mind a cup of tea if it’s not too much trouble. Or does that make me sound too old?” He laughed.
“Not at all!” I reached for the kettle on the stove and took it over to the sink. I was filling it with water when Solomon came and stood beside me, looking out the large picture window over the sink. “I enjoy tea more and more these days to relax. Coffee to work. Tea to relax.”
“Tea can have just as much caffeine as coffee you know?” He teased.
“Herbal,” I corrected. “I love a good peppermint.”
Solomon nodded. “I am partial to a sleepy time.” He leaned against the table, watching me as I moved about the kitchen. His gaze made me more aware of my body and movements. It was slightly nerve wracking, but also made me want to impress him.
“You’re quite brave to take on all of us,” he murmured suddenly. “I was instantly impressed with you.”
Holy shit did he read my mind? Did he know what I was trying to do while I gracefully turned on the stove and set the kettle upon the eye?
“I wouldn’t say brave. I actually feel a bit selfish.” I glanced up at him, taking in his handsome profile and gleaming eyes. My heart pounded. “I’m not even sure you all are interested.” I turned off the water and moved the kettle to the stove.
“What’s not to be interested in?” Solomon asked, his quiet and serious tone mixed with that deep, raspy voice of his made me shiver.
I fidgeted with the stove for a second in order to avoid looking at him again. If I did after that I just might melt.
“Your boldness at the meeting impressed most of us. I think Reap and I were both charmed right away.”
I looked back at him finally. “Thank you,” was all I could muster.
His smile grew and there was a softness to his gaze. “What? Are you not used to such compliments?”
I shook my head. “To be honest I’m more used to the opposite.”
Solomon frowned, looking concerned. “Who from?”
I shook my head. “Oh no, I mean, not recently. It’s been years since-” My voice clogged itself in my throat and my mouth hung open for a second. I swallowed and shrugged. “It was a past relationship.”
Solomon huffed, shaking his head. “Such a shame, Stella. Men are idiots. Cruel idiots. I’m so sorry.”
“You aren’t my ex. You don’t need to apologize for anything.” I smiled shyly. “You say that about your own kind?”
“Not exactly my kind,” he sighed. “Us paralangua are raised better as young ones. I know hurt like that is hard to forget, but I do find you beautiful if that means anything.”
I must have been strawberry red because I saw his gaze turn to concern. “It means something.” My voice squeaked. I cleared my throat and met his eyes, chuckling softly. “Thank you so much.”
Solomon touched my hand just as the teapot began to whistle.
We had a lovely conversation over tea; he talked about his life beyond the river in Charcourt, he was raised by his father alone, and he, too, longed for a bigger family. I was always easily attracted to a deep voice and large hands (it got me in trouble once before), but I felt a chemistry with Solomon that felt so real.
“You probably have work to do. I shouldn’t have kept you so long.” Solomon murmured.
That cut through me as I had so been enjoying our conversation. “Oh uh-” I looked at the clock and couldn't argue that I needed to tend to things on the farm. “Yes well-” I didn’t really want to say goodbye.
Solomon took his cup to the sink. “I did enjoy getting to know you, Stella.”
I nodded. “Me too. I mean! I mean you too. I mean-”
Solomon chuckled and he leaned down, placing a kiss on my cheek. My heart could have stopped. I’d never been kissed on the cheek by a guy like that.
“Venus is next. Not sure when they'll want to come by, but do expect them.” Solomon gave me a wink.
I smiled back at him. “Is there anything they like I could have around for them?”
“Sweets,” he replied. “Venus likes sweets.”
“I do like to bake.” I said, walking him to the door.
At the door, Solomon looked at me and there was a crackle in the air. “I know we just met, but would you mind if I kissed you? In earnest?”
I just nodded, unable to say anything as I tried to contain myself. Solomon dipped his head, placing a kiss upon my lips. I shivered as his hand touched my cheek. Imagine that four more times, I thought to myself.
“Kissing? Already?”
Solomon pulled back as Venus walked up to the door. Venus had a slight scowl upon their face and their tail swished back and forth behind them.
“What are you doing here?” Solomon chuckled. “Eager to get things started.”
Venus bristled, or at least, every fiber of them stiffened. “You’re taking your time, I see! We had an agreement.”
“I know. I know.” Solomon stepped away from the door. “I’ll see you later, Stella. For now, I leave you with Venus.”
“Until later,” I said. I then looked back at Venus. “I actually have some chores to do if you don’t mind waiting.”
Venus eyes darted towards the barn, seeing the fenced in area where the cows were gathering, waiting for their next meal. “You said they were the Golden Girls?”
I nodded. “Would you like to help me?”
Venus was still pouting but he followed me towards the barn. The Golden Girls gathered at the entrance, mooing and shoving each other to get to the front.
“The red one is Blanche,” I started. “The black and white one is Sophia. Rose is the brown and white one, and the black one is Dorothy.”
Venus approached them gingerly, holding out his hand which Rose sniffed at. He went and pet her, the other girls complained they weren’t getting the same attention.
“Do you like animals?” I asked as I filled up the trough.
Venus pulled his hand back. “I have a cat.”
“Aww, what’s their name?” I smiled at Venus who looked away shyly, but maintained a tough appearance.
“Bea.”
I smirked. “I used to listen to the Mame soundtrack with my grandmother all the time. Bea Arthur has such a great voice.”
Venus’s eyes followed me as I refilled the bucket with chicken feed. “My cat has a weird raspy voice, that’s why I named her Bea.”
“That’s so cute.” I led Venus out into the farmyard, tossing out the chicken feed and the chickens came running.
“You’re really the only one who works this?” Venus asked.
“I’m the only Riley in Charcourt left,” I replied, hugging the bucket to my chest. “And obviously I’m single.”
Venus scoffed. “So you want the five of us just for hired help?”
I gave him a look. “No. I mean, help is nice, but-”
“But what?”
I was quiet for a moment. “I don’t know. I just like the idea of the affection that comes with it.”
His gaze softened and I swear the white scales around his eyes turned pink. “You just want to be pampered by five guys?”
I chuckled. “Maybe? Doesn’t anybody want to be a little pampered?” I walked back towards the barn to get more feed for the sheep. “I was thinking about making cookies when I was done here. What kind do you like?”
Venus’ eyes got wide and he cleared his throat. “Trying to grease me up with baking?”
“Maybe a little,” I said with a giggle. “If I’m being honest.”
Venus glanced at me then away. “What kinds can you make?”
I thought for a moment. “Well, I think I can do chocolate chip, sugar cookies, I’ve got lots of cinnamon too.”
Venus sniffed, watching as the Golden Girls came closer to him. “Chocolate chip is good.”
“Alright then. I’ll have to go check the coop for eggs.”
Venus turned towards me. “What?”
“Well what do you think I have the chickens for? I sell the eggs, I also sell the milk from the girls and the goats.”
Venus seemed stunned by this. “I guess that makes sense,” he muttered. “But you just use them like that? Fresh from their-”
“That’s how eggs happen.” I walked towards the coop. “Want to see?”
Venus shook their head. “Not really. Can I just go inside?” They pointed back to the house.
“Sure, go ahead.” I gathered up the eggs I could find in the coop then went back inside. Venus was looking around my kitchen as well, especially the magnets on the fridge. I set the basket of eggs down and they looked at the basket with some repulsion.
“They come out gross, yes. They stay fresher if you don’t wash them.”
Their mouth gaped as I said this.
I just smirked at him. “If it makes you feel better, I’ll wash the ones I use for the cookies. Is that alright?”
They nodded, returning to their usual grumpy pout.
I gathered up ingredients to make the cookies and preheated the oven. “Venus is an interesting name,” I replied. It was really the only conversation starter I could think of. It had been quiet this whole time.
“You think?” Venus huffed. “My mom liked that show Sailor Moon, she didn’t seem to care that Venus meant girl.”
It was an awfully cute explanation but I wouldn’t have dared repeated that to him. “So she named you after her favorite character, that’s sweet.”
Venus frowned. “I went by Vee until I was fifteen,” he grumbled. “Then when my mom got sick, I started letting her call me Venus again.”
I stopped measuring out flour and gave Venus a sympathetic look.
“I lived with Reap’s family for a time,” they muttered. “His brother, Lerour, had just gone through the ceremony so there was room for me.” They sniffled then turned their head away so I couldn’t see.
“I’m so sorry, Venus.” I reached out and touched his arm, which he tilted his head to look at. “My mom died when I was little too.”
Venus looked back at me, his eyes were watery and pink around the rim. “Yeah well. Guess we have something in common. Not that being sad is any sort of connection.”
I chuckled and rubbed his arm gently. “I would say grief is a pretty good common ground to start from.” I measured out more of the dry ingredients and Venus came closer to my side. They were a touch shorter than me, but they had nice strong arms and thick thighs. Plus, they felt nice next to me, a little warm with a comforting air.
“So, you lived with Reap?” I asked.
“Yeah,” he muttered. “He’s pretty shy, just warning you.”
“Good to know.” I started mixing the dry ingredients together. “Is he next?”
Venus shook his head and got a look of annoyance upon their face. “Unfortunately for you, Chandra is next.”
“Why unfortunately?” I laughed.
“You didn’t get enough of him at the meeting the other night? He’s obnoxious, not to mention a bit of a-” They stopped and hesitated saying the next word. “Just don’t fall for his ploys.”
“Ploys? What ploys?”
Venus gave me a warning look, one that turned their eyes into a darker shade of gray. He held up a finger and leaned in close. “Solomon can ask for a kiss and be a gentleman. Chandra is no gentleman, he is a flirt and enjoys a challenge.”
“He’s easy?” I giggled.
“A little.” Venus looked back at the cookie mix. “Just be careful. Not saying you won’t be, you seem to have a level head on you.”
“Thanks, I appreciate that.” I continued making the cookies with Venus. When the cookies were fresh from the oven, Venus had quite a few. They took the rest home and I promised we could bake together again sometime soon.
I could tell from his expression he wanted to ask for a kiss as well, but wasn’t going to do it anytime soon. “Have a good evening, Venus.” I kissed his cheek and those eyes lit up into pure silver. He didn’t say anything just looked at me and nodded before leaving.
“Pretty cute,” I said to myself after he left. “Solomon and Venus in one day,” I murmured. I could still remember Solomon’s kiss, and the connection I made with Venus was just as sweet.
“Two down, three to go,” I murmured and went back inside to finish cleaning up.

Three:
It had been a day or so since I had seen Solomon and Venus, so I was expecting Chandra at any moment. Considering what I had gleaned from him at the meetings, and even Venus’ warnings, it was obvious he was going to be a handful. But so far, I had been enjoying these meetings, so I wasn’t going to worry about it for too long.
Every so often I like to take my goats down to the river that runs behind the farm. They get to play, splash around, and I swear the water makes their milk taste so much better. I also like to go down there and look for pretty rocks or plants I can add to my collection.
The four goats were playing in the river, eating grass from the shore and splashing around. The youngest, Gilda, was bouncing around and having the time of her life. I was wading at the edge of the river, looking at stones that crossed my path. I then heard the goats exclaim and come running towards me, splashing and kicking up water all over the back of my legs.
Expecting a snake or something, I turned quickly, ushering the goats to the bank. Then I caught a flash of white in the corner of my eye. There stood Chandra, rising up out of the water with a great smirk upon his face.
“Didn’t mean to startle,” he chuckled. He smoothed his hand down his chest, wiping away excess water. “I just smelled something delicious in the air and came towards it.”
The goats on the bank yelled and made a fuss as Chandra came closer to me.
“Not funny,” I huffed, smoothing my hair back away from my face.
Chandra approached, taking my hand and kissing the back of it. “My apologies to you and the ladies.”
“One's a male, but thank you.” His pink eyes were captivating, they looked like glass marbles that shined brighter than any diamond.
“My apologies again for the misgendering,” Chandra said with a chuckle.  He then leaned against one of the trees that hung over the river. “So, what brings a lily of the valley like you to a place like this?”
I motioned back to the goats. “I like bringing them down here sometimes. Wasn’t expecting you to come out of the river though.”
“I enjoy making an entrance. What can I say?” he looked me over, drinking me in and growing a smile that made me think of the cat who ate the canary.
I smirked. “What are you doing?”
“What? Just looking. I’m not going to do anything, I don’t know what Venus said to sully my name, but I swear, I’m not like that.” He winked playfully.
I eyed him up and down. “What do you think Venus said?”
“Well, knowing him, nothing too fond.” He stepped aside from the tree and sat down upon the bank, stretching out his legs and tail upon the grass. “He and I have never quite seen eye to eye.”
I took the spot beside him, raising up my knees to my chest. “And why do you think that is?”
“I think he envies my confidence,” he said with a laugh. “Maybe my height.”
“Venus told me not to fall for your ploys.” I glanced up at him to garner his reaction, which there was none. Chandra simply smiled. “What would those ploys be?”
Chandra’s tail curled, wrapping around my sides then brushing up against my thigh. “Well, let me think. I have no idea what he is talking about.” he said teasingly. Meanwhile, his tail tightened and pulled me in close to his side. Chandra put his arm around me and continued to feign contemplation.
I looked at his arm and let out a small laugh. “What are you doing?”
“Hm?” He looked down. “Oh my goodness. When did you do this?” He pulled his arm back. “We’ve only just met. Unless you’re…into that.” He winked again.
I rolled my eyes and scooted back. “You’re something of a flirt.”
“Don’t you worry. Once the ceremony happens I will become the most devoted out of all my brother husbands.” he laid his hand dramatically against his chest. “I call them oats to sow. But I’m sure there are names for me out there.”
“Venus was hinting. But I don’t blame oats for being oats.”
Chandra smiled. “Have you sowed a bit in your time?”
I shrugged. “I wouldn’t call it sowing. Maybe if I was doing it on gravel.” I made a face and shook my head. “I planted my oats in the wrong ground.”
He got a look upon his face, one of concern. “Mind if I ask what was so wrong about this ground?”
I looked at him and then away a few times before I got the nerve to say anything. “Let's just say it was toxic earth.”
Chandra nodded his head, clicking his tongue in understanding. “I’m happy to see you here, away from that.”
I sighed heavily. “Me too.”
Chandra leaned back against his palms and gazed up towards the sky. “Now you have five strikingly rich, fertile soils to plant your oats.”
I grimaced. “Can we stop this analogy?”
“I hated the words as soon as I said them.” Chandra watched me as I stood up. His eyes followed me, seeing my look of distress and I gazed at the goats behind us. “Something the matter?”
“Gilda’s gone.” I whipped around, looking all over for the little goat. “One of my goats is missing.”
“Well calm down, calm down,” he coaxed as he stood up. “I’m sure she’s around here somewhere.”
“She’s my youngest and she’s not learned how wandering is bad!” I darted down the river then looked back. “I need to get the others back to the barn. But I don’t want to lose time looking for her.” I could feel the panic rising in my gut.
“You take the goats back, I’ll keep looking,” he said gently. “I’ll keep looking.”
I nodded and breathlessly lead the other goats back to the barn. As I made my way back towards the river, I looked everywhere. If I thought she could sleep under stones I would have turned every single one over. I searched all along the path and once I reached the river I searched for Chandra. After getting down to the bank I saw a flash of white in the corner of my eye. Chandra was knelt down beside a bush and my stomach seized. I instantly thought the worst and ran towards him.
“Chandra?” I called out.
He looked up and shushed me, tapping his finger to his mouth. “Be quiet. She’s sleeping.”
“Sleeping?” I blurted angrily. I ran to him and looked over his shoulder, seeing little Gilda curled up under a bush that was directly in a beam of sunlight.
“She probably curled up here and passed out.” He looked up at me and smiled. “She’s so cute, I didn’t want to bother her.”
As I came closer Gilda lifted up her head, she moved herself closer and laid her head on Chandra’s knee. The look in his beautiful pink eyes made my heart melt. As my nerves settled I leaned up against him. It was quiet for a long moment while we let Gilda enjoy her nap. I fell asleep as the sun was warm and the flow of the river made a powerful spell.
I came to as Chandra was carrying me towards the house with Gilda at our heels. “Ah, awake I see.” He sat me down and and smoothed back my clothes from being crumpled up. “Have a nice nap?”
“Yeah, I guess I did,” I chuckled.
Gilda was happily standing at Chandra’s side. It made my heart flutter.
“You owe me then,” Chandra teased. “Everyone got a full meeting with you, but I suppose being used as a pillow is fine.”
“Sorry, I really am.” I chuckled.
“No worries.” Chandra smoothed his palm over my cheek then tucked back my hair. “I’ll have you all to myself here soon.”
I closed my eyes, giving him the signal to kiss me. Instead he smoothed back my hair and kissed my forehead. “I can do better.” He whispered before he pulled away. “Hopefully Reap won’t outshine me.” He gave me a smile before leaving, and my face was molten hot.
To say I’ve been having a hard time sleeping with all this going on would be accurate. Fitful is the word I would use. My overactive imagination combined with the ‘ten hands’ mantra I’d been going over, was giving me some pretty bodice heaving thoughts. I could only imagine what was coming with Reap and Eros still arriving. I knew a bit about Reap, I’d gotten to talk to him already. But Eros was a bit of a mystery. His painted nails and pearl necklace were the most I had to introduce him to me. Reap was shy and super sweet, and his opening line to me had been on my mind as I awaited our meeting.
It was a regular afternoon, one where I had just received a grocery order. I always enjoyed the act of putting things away neatly. Whether it was in the barn or in my own home, having everything neatly placed and organized was cathartic. Plus, if I had a hard time seeing something I often forgot it was there. So it’s best I can see what I have.
Anyways, as I was remarking on how frustrating it is certain products have the same bottles but different labeling, there was a knock at my door. I turned, seeing a shape in the stained glass window of my door.
“Just a second!” I called out, setting the groceries aside. I opened the door to see a bouquet of flowers. Vivid pinks and reads, dashes of pale yellow, all sorts of flowers that must have cost a bundle to put together.
“Don’t just shove it in her face.”
“I didn’t mean to!”
I looked beyond the bouquet to see both Eros and Reap standing in my doorway. They both looked at me, similarly sympathetic but their eyes read it in different ways.
“Two at once? What did I do to deserve this?” I asked.
Eros offered me the bouquet. “Before that, I put this together myself with Reap’s suggestions.”
“You did this? It’s beautiful!” I exclaimed.
“Eros is really talented with those sorts of things,” Reap spoke softly from behind. “It’s part of why I asked him to tag along for my visit.” He looked embarrassed, almost afraid to look at me, but he did with a lustrous sparkle to his eyes.
“Come on in, the kitchen is a mess right now, but the table is clear.” I stepped inside, letting them follow in after me.
“Do you have a vase?” Eros asked. “I can take care of those for you.”
“I’ll have to hunt one down. It’s been ages since I last got flowers I didn’t pick myself.” I chuckled, gently laying the bouquet down.
“The kitchen isn’t a mess,” Reap said as he looked around.
“I just got groceries so it’s scattered.” I was searching through the lower cabinets, hoping to find my grandmother’s vase. We used to put it on the table every Sunday with flowers my grandfather got for her. But childhood was so long ago.
From the corner of my eye I saw Eros mouth something to Reap. Reap nodded in turn and came to my side. “Can I help with the search?”
“Yes, actually,” I huffed when the lower cabinets didn’t pan out. “The vase may be up behind one of the tins. You’re so tall, you’d probably see it before me.”
Reap smiled at me. “Says the tall sight for short eyes.”
I broke into a huge smile I tried to keep restrained. “Yes, even for me.”
His bright smile broke through that nervousness he held and he began searching along that top shelf, carefully peering behind the tins.
“I haven’t had to use that vase since my grandmother passed,” I replied. “So I’m afraid I put it somewhere safe and forgot where safe was.”
Eros looked up from the sink, using a pair of shears to trim the ends of the flowers into the sink. “Isn’t that how it always goes? I lose more scissors in my shop that way.”
“What is your shop?” I asked.
“A florist,” he said with a soft laugh. “I also dabble in a few other things. But flowers are my main pay check.”
“Don’t be modest,” Reap said. “He’s a renaissance man.”
“You hush.” Eros ran water over the freshly trimmed stems.
Reap stepped back. “Is this it?” He held out the vase which was covered in grease and dust from years of sitting high up in the kitchen.
“You found it!” I reached for it, touching Reap’s hands as I did. His gaze softened and his fingers twitched. “Thank you,” I said a bit more gently. “It needs a good washing.” At the sink I stood by Eros. His eyes glanced down upon my hands as I scrubbed into the vase.
“A hard worker, I see.” He took my hand gently as the vase soaked in water. He turned my palm over, gently brushing the tip of his claw along my skin. It made me shiver in a way I never had before. It was a whole new sensation to me.
Eros smiled. “What a strong heart line you have.”
“Heart line?”
Eros looked up into my eyes. “Also known as the love line,” he almost sounded like he was purring saying this.
My cheeks radiated heat until it burned the tops of my ears. “What a coincidence,” I said breathlessly.
“See, I told you it was a good thing I brought you along,” Reap murmured from behind. “You’re so good at that.”
Eros gave Reap a gentle look. “Don’t sell yourself short, Reap. You have charms all your own, but I am more than happy to be here for both of you.” He squeezed my hand gently before letting it go.
I rinsed off the vase. “You don’t need to be nervous about me. I consider myself an easy person to be around. It’s growing up with animals I think.”
“That’s what my brother said,” Reap said with a halfhearted chuckle. “But still, Eros is good at breaking tension. I feel as though I am good at making it.”
“There we are now,” Eros said as he finished off the vase. “Beautiful. Just like the one we made it for.”
I giggled and shyly looked away.
Reap sighed. “He makes it seem so easy.”
“Compliments are meant to be easy,” Eros replied. “Action is what’s best.” He motioned to me and Reap looked at me. We both exchanged glances and Reap smiled.
“Action, huh?” Reap rubbed at the side of his neck. “Well, would you like help putting your groceries away.”
I smiled. “I’m picky about how I put it up, so don’t worry about it. All the cold stuff is put away. But, if you’d like, I’d love to sit over some tea or coffee with the both of you. It’s such a nice day out, and I rarely ever get to use my patio.”
Reap’s smile was probably the sweetest out of all five of them. I was charmed instantly by him, and anytime Eros spoke it was like he was putting me under some sort of dreamy spell.
There was a gentle breeze along with the warm sunlight, the old picnic table my grandfather made was rarely used these days, but sitting with Eros and Reap made it feel like old times.
“My big brother went through the ceremony a few years ago,” Reap was telling me. “I’ve always been nervous at the idea. But he’s been telling me all these amazing things so I’ve been growing more excited as the ceremony gets closer. Then, shocker, we find out only one of the chosen this year is attending.”
“Honest gut punch,” Eros replied. He had been holding my hand the entire time, massaging it, rubbing my palm, admiring the fine lines it seemed. “None of us were sure what to do or how to act.”
“We tried to wait on word from the council but-” Reap bowed his head and swallowed. “I got curious one night.”
“I saw your footprints,” I replied.
Reap looked aside and fidgeted in his seat. “I’m sorry! I wanted to see who stayed and I…well-”
Eros rolled his hand. “Go on. Tell her.”
I looked back at Reap. “Tell me what?”
He took in a deep breath. “I understood something my brother said. He said he saw his chosen, and knew then and there she was it. The one. His. I thought it was silly, Lerour was always dramatic but then I saw you.”
My heart fluttered.
“And like he said, I knew.” He looked up at me with a shy glance. “I think all of us felt that way. That’s how it seemed in the meeting anyways.”
I swallowed, nervous, elated, light headed, and a bunch of other things I don’t think I could blame on the coffee. “Well, thank you.” I laugh because that sounded so silly. “I don’t know why I said thank you! But uhm…I felt a little similar that day. I feel that way each time I meet one of you. It’s like fitting into something comfortable.”
Reap’s smile returned. “It does.”
Eros lifted my hand, kissing my knuckles. “We’re all a little opposite in our own ways, but you seem to be a connecting factor to all of it.”
My heart was pounding fast. Ten hands kept repeating in my mind. “I am nervous about the ceremony. I’ve barely had one serious boyfriend, let alone five. Let alone five paralangua ones.” I gazed into Reap’s eyes, seeing a gentle gaze. “I don’t know if it will work out for all of us but…I am excited to try.”

My heart is hammering out of my chest. No. Beyond that. My heart is hammering in space and changing Earth’s rotation. I was wading in knee deep water, entering the depths of the labyrinth. Cold mud and stone greet my toes. Meanwhile, ahead of me, there is a vastness I cannot describe. The labyrinth is one of the greatest mysteries the Festival of Ash provides, and I am alone inside.
The paralangua will begin their hunt now. But I am the sole prey this festival. Usually, the five chosen paralangua will enter along with some other hopeful paralangua, hunting for their chosen mate. This year, my five will enter alone, and they will hunt me together, yet separately. The order of who leaves the labyrinth will determine…well, something very intimate.
I slipped and fell into the water, splashing down, losing footing, and finding myself careening down a waterslide that shoots me out over a waterfall, below me is a vast depth with a faint blue glow.
I notice none of this beauty or splendor. I am far too busy screaming at the top of my lungs as I cascade down the waterfall like a ragdoll.
From the waterfall lunges a huge, imposing figure that rips me from the air. My heartbeat is such that now the moon is shaken from its orbit. I am tucked into large arms, one of which grabs hold of a vine and swings us towards a wall where he stops my careening.
“Easy now,” a calm voice whispers. “I got you in the nick of time.” There was a slight chuckle to his voice, but I was too busy trying to breathe to notice the sexy inflection.
“Oh my god!” I gulped in air. “Oh my god!” My naked body pressed into the scaly flank of Chandra. His white scales gleamed with that faint blue glow. He looked iridescent in the light.
“Took a tumble, did ya?” Chandra laughed as he put me upon his back. “Was planning to sneak up on you until you did that.” He started climbing up the vine, heading towards the beam of light over us.
I clung to his neck, holding on for dear life as the pool below us grew even further away. “I didn’t even see that I was that close to a slide!”
“No worries.” Chandra started to laugh but was yanked from below.
Glancing down, Venus was upon us, his hand wrapped tightly around Chandra’s ankle.
“Do you mind?” Chandra tried kicking, but found it upset his balance on the rope. “I’m trying to get our Stella out of here.”
“And let you be first?” Venus snarled. “Fat chance.”
Chandra eased me around to his front, holding me in the curve of his arm. “Excuse me, love.” He set me upon a ledge on the wall then leapt down, tackling Venus, and both of them dropped into the knee deep water I started in.
I yelped, quickly coming to standing. I watched them struggle for a moment, their bodies writhing and thrashing in the water, before I made my way along the ledge. The ledge led to an opening, which itself turned into a dimly lit corridor. Light filtered in through the ceiling, which was covered by vines and tree limbs. The floor was cold with settled patches of water that trickled down the walls. I was supposed to keep running, creating the chase that the labyrinth was made for. But I really didn’t want to. I wanted one of them to find me, it didn’t matter who. I just wanted to be found and taken out of here.
As I came to the end of the hallway, I peeked around the corner to see stairs on either side, and a drop off straight ahead. I stood there for a moment, listening for rushing water or something, not sure.
“There you are.”
I jumped nearly out of my skin. I looked this way and that before turning back around and seeing a massive shape at the end of the hall I just came from.
“Found you,” Solomon’s deep voice rippled through the air.
“Oh, hi,” My voice pitched as I spoke. “Fancy-” I slipped on the wall as I tried to brace against it. “Fancy meeting you here.”
Solomon stepped into the hallway. Light flitted across his body, and I took in the entire spectacle of it. I swallowed, forcing myself to gaze back up at his face. “What happened to Chandra and uhm…”
“Venus?”
I nodded, keeping my eyeline up.
Solomon lowered down to all fours. “Don’t worry about them.” He lunged, rushing towards me.
I jumped again, rushing out the door and heading for the stairs. Solomon came racing out, standing back up on his legs as I was halfway down the stairs. We locked eyes as I turned back to look. I smiled, and he smiled back, so I turned and kept running.
I stumbled into the water at the bottom of the stairs. Taking a step off a stone landing, I went waist-deep, which made running and impossibility. There was a loud splash behind me, and then there was silence as the water settled.
“This would be so scary under any other circumstance,” I whispered to myself. I saw ripples in the water where Solomon was swimming. I ducked under, swimming away myself to continue the chase.
Now, I know that there is no possible way I could ever hope to outswim a paralangua, especially one like Solomon. But, I do have years of swimming in the creek outside the farm against kids in the neighborhood on my side. I was a strong swimmer, so there was a possibility for some fun to be had.
But just as I was thinking this, my leg was grabbed and I was pulled back through the water. I was lifted to the surface where Solomon had me locked in a tight embrace. My back was pressed to his chest, and I could feel the rhythm of his very even breathing, but also, the excited rumble of his heart.
“You almost slipped away from me,” he whispered into my ear.
“Almost,” I laughed. I patted my hands upon his arms, feeling just how tight he was holding onto me. I glanced back at him, seeing a curious smile grow upon his face. I looked back forward, seeing more ripples in the water that aimed directly at us.
Eyes peered up from the water, then slowly, Eros rose from the depths. “I really didn’t want to go head to head with you, Solomon, old boy.”
Solomon laughed, “Then don’t.”
Eros wiped water back from his face then sighed. His eyes focused on me. “I do have to admit.” He licked his chops as his eyes turned sultry. “I like the looks of this.”
I had felt exposed and naked this whole time, well, because I was. But Eros’ gaze did something to me that made me all the more aware of my body, my shape, and Solomon’s pressed against it.
“Careful now,” Solomon coaxed.
Eros let out a deep, dark chuckle that sent shivers up my spine. “Oh trust me. I’m as a gentle as a la-” He was cut off, dragged back under water so fast I was half certain my brain glitched out.
“Goodness,” Solomon sounded just as surprised as I was.
Venus rose up, water pouring out of his jowls. He was snarling, breathing heavy as he looked at us with an almost crazed look to his eyes.
“Give her up, old man.”
“Now why is everyone suddenly calling me old man?” Solomon lifted me up and set me back behind him. “I’ll show you old, little boy.”
Venus roared and charged ahead, but much like Eros he was ripped aside and tossed into the waters with a mightly splash. Eros dove after him, charinging into a fight that looked more vicious than it needed to be.
“Run.” Solomon whispered back at me. “Now is your chance while the children are fighting.”
“What about you?” I asked.
Solomon just laughed and rushed into the fight happening before them.
I went into the water, swimming away from the kerfuffle and finding land I could walk upon. I climbed onto a mossy embankment and slid down to the other side where I plopped into a plush field of little white flowers.
I laid there for a moment, catching my breath. Up above me was a canopy of vines, sunlight streaming down in radiant, warm beams. I laid for a second, resting and letting myself warm.
“Those three are fighting,” I murmured. “Chandra is somewhere. And I haven’t seen Reap yet.” I sat back up and saw across the field of flowers there was an alcove where Reap was curled up inside.
“Oh,” I gasped. I stood up, waiting to see if he would move, but he didn’t. I walked across the field then climbed up upon the stone to peer into the alcove. “Reap?” I touched his back and he shifted slightly.
I took hold of his arm and shook him gently. To which he stirred more. “It’s alright, keep running.”
I climbed up further to peer inside. “What’s the matter?”
Reap curled up more. “Nothing. I’m just not made out for this sort of thing.”
I stepped over him and into the alcove, finding it was quite comfortable inside and the stone was warmed from the sun. “Neither am I.”
Reap sighed, keeping his eyes closed. “I’ve never been much of a fighter. I don’t mind getting out last.”
I sat beside him, pulling my knees up to my chest. “I mind.”
Reap swallowed hard but remained silent.
“You were the first one I met. I mean, it only seems fair.” I touched him, seeing him shiver from the contact. “I like you.”
Reap let out a nervous, shuddering laugh and he opened his eyes. “Damn. I knew it. You’re beautiful.”
I was aware of my nakedness again, but I knew that in this position all my rolls and folds were showing tenfold. “Oh come on.”
“I mean it.” Reap muttered as he doubled up into his fetus position. “And you smell even better.”
I was growing warm from within. “You’re lovely too.” I said as I gazed down his body, watching his tail cover a certain area.
“You should go now,” Reap murmured. “They’ll show up soon.”
“So?” I breathed as I lowered myself down to him. I touched him more, grazing my hand down his chest. “I’ve been waiting for this. I’m not sure I can wait more. The more they come after me, the more they touch me-”
Reap shuddered again. “I shouldn’t be first.”
“Why not?” I chuckled. “I already said-”
Reap grabbed my hand before it could lower and he glared into my eyes. “I’m not made to be enjoyed so easily,” he growled.
I furrowed my brow. “What does that mean?”
Slowly he began to unfurl, pulling his tail back and shifting his hips to present himself. Now, as a farm girl, I’ve seen some things. Lots of things. Back when we had tons of animals, I had seen horses, bulls, hell, even goose and pigs go at it on the farm. My grandfather taught me the birds and the bees that way, which my grandmother and mother had to correct in a lot of ways.
But when I say I had never seen anything like Reap, you know it was nothing you had ever seen.
“See?” He snarled. “I’m too big for anyone to enjoy.” He grunted and looked away in shame. “It’s miserable. Sometimes I even get light headed when I get erect.”
“Are you now?” I whispered as my eyes remained locked to the shaft. Thick. Big. Ten hands.
“A little.” Reap kept his gaze away from me.
I licked my lips as the hunger inside me grew. Yes, he was big, but I was also a big girl. “May I touch it?”
Reap jerked and his hard cock swayed. “You should run.”
“Please? My hands are cold and you look warm.” It was a ruse, but maybe he would fall for it.
He growled under his breath, straining as he seemed to throb harder now. “Just a little. It’s fine.”
Yes! I reached down, placing the tip against my palm. Reap whined, so did I. I stroked down, my hand was barely able to wrap around him. I bit down hard on my lip, caressing him even more.
“Fuck,” Reap whimpered and his hips shook.
“Reap,” I breathed. “I’m so fucking turned on.”
He whined again as I began to pump my hand up and down his mighty cock. “I-” He couldn’t get any words out.
I scooted down, taking my mouth and joining my hands. I kissed and licked him, feeling his pulse directly against my tongue. I was growing so wet I could flood the labyrinth myself. And there was an ache, god the ache!
“Stella, please!” He gasped breathlessly.
I took his tip into my mouth, tasting him directly, tasting a saltiness that dripped from the tip. Fuck, I needed him.
“We should…I should-” Reap was shivering, his hips were bucking.
“I know.” I moaned as I sat up. I lifted my leg to straddle him, taking his cock and rubbing myself against it.
Reap cried out in a sort of desired agony. “Hot!” he cried. “You’re so hot!”
I whimpered, holding him with one hand while grinding my slit against him. I needed him, in all ways. I had been trying my hardest all this time to behave myself, to keep a cool mind. But ten hands. Five cocks. Six if you wanted to take Reap’s size into account.
I place his tip to my entrance and saw the wide eyed expression upon his face. I nodded to him, slowly taking his monstrous cock inside. God! It felt so good!
“Stella-” he gasped and grabbed hold of my hips. “Be careful.”
I moaned with glee as I took him, rocking myself upon his tip then taking slightly more. My jaw hung slack as I took more and more, but there was a lot of him to take. Below me his hips rocked, pressing into the sensitive spots inside. I cried out, leaning forward to balance myself against him.
He would take me first, there was no question in it. I panted, trying to catch my breath, but my hips were moving to find my release, and I didn’t want to stop. Not at all. I faced Reap again, smiling at him.
“I’m enjoying you very much,” I moaned. “Oh fuck, so much.”
Reap threw his head back. “I’ve never felt like this.”
“Hey!”
The loud bellowing call shook us both, taking us completely out of our hedonistic moment. Venus was standing there in the flowers, huffing and puffing from what was, no doubt, a hard fight against Eros and Solomon. He’d also gone head to head with Chandra first thing.
“What are you doing? That’s not fair!” Venus pointed towards us, and I could swear I saw a glint of tears in his eyes.
“Oh uh-” I was scrambling, but not moving out of place. “Venus, it’s uhm-”
Venus charged towards us but stopped short. “I wanted-” His voice cracked and I was sure I saw tears.
Reap swallowed and he sat up, picking me up with him. He handed me out towards Venus. “You can join in. Who says we have to fight?”
Venus sniffled and looked away, his eyes darting back to me. “Then what?” He sniffed again, but this time, it was like he was tasting the air.
“Fuck?” I spoke up which caused Venus to chuckle.
He smiled at me, getting that cocky smug of his. “Fine then.” He took me from Reap and laid me down upon the flowers. He kissed me, planting them all over my body along with hints of his sharp teeth. His tongue replaced Reap’s cock, slurping and moaning against me until I was a blushing, heaving mess again. I clawed at the flowers behind me, gripping at them until I moved to Venus’ shoulders.
Reap watched us from above, eyes bleary but focused at the same time. He would glance around shyly, fidgeting slightly as he seemed embarrassed to touch himself. That was, until it became too much and he had to take both his hands and stroke himself.
Below my waist, Venus was enjoying himself. His tongue was long and strong, lapping at my clit, then burrowing deep inside me. His teeth would hit every so often, eliciting a startled yet pleasured moan from my lips.
“You’re really good at that,” Reap said through a strained breath.
Venus’ eyes cut up to him, lifting his head briefly to crack that superior smile. “Have you not tasted her? She’s awesome.”
Not sure how being called awesome is sexy but I would take it.
Reap knelt down beside Venus and I thought my head would pop open like a cartoon. He and Venus licked at the same time and I craned my neck back, cupping both hands over my mouth as they feasted together.
“See how she likes it?” Venus chuckled.
Reap moaned softly against me, almost like a purr.
“Save some room for us?”
All three of us jerked, turning our attention to Eros and Solomon coming over the flowery hill. Eros was watching, licking his chops as he came forward.
He laughed as he stood before us, Solomon hobling up behind. “Did we change the rules on the elders? Naughty boys. I like it.”
Venus sneered as Eros came up, kneeling down beside me to caress down my chest then kiss me.
“You guys really did a number on me.” Solomon huffed as he plopped down beside me, laying down and letting out a relaxed breath. “Don’t let us stop you. By all means, keep going.”
“What about Chandra?” I managed to squeak out as Eros stroked and kissed me all over, nuzzling his head against me as he let out tranquil, happy sighs.
Solomon chuckled, pointing up.
I craned my neck back, peering up above the alcove where Reap and I had started. I see Chandra poised there, watching us with a lusty glint in his eyes.
“Pervert!” Venus shouted out as he stood up.
Chandra laughed. “I’m just enjoying the view! What’s wrong with that?” He slithered down from his perch and approached us. “You and Reap make wonderful dancing partners,” he said, jutting his tongue out. “Now come here. I think I earned my turn.” He grabbed me up from the ground, holding me so my rear was cupped in his great palms.
“Who decided this order?” Eros chuckled.
Chandra’s cock slipped against my thigh, rubbing there as he rocked me in his hands. “Don’t you want to do the pampering at the end?”
Eros pouted slightly, looking away as Reap came up to his side. “I suppose.”
“Then I get my go.” Chandra lifted me slightly so when I moved his cock popped up and he was able to place me over him. “I’m nowhere near as endowed as Reap,” he whispered so only I could hear. “But I know better how to utilize my gifts.” He entered me, pressing deep until I was overflowing.
I grunted, biting my lip as Chandra began moving me, using me as his own toy. I felt someone press up against my back, hugging me and touching me as Chandra moved inside.
Ten hands. I thought to myself again. Ten hands.
“Enjoying yourself, huh?” Eros whispered into my ear from behind. “Good. You’re going to be having this feeling for a long time.”
“What about the labyrinth?” Reap murmured.
“Fuck the labyrinth!” Venus snapped. “We’re here with Stella now. They can wait on us for a minute, can’t they?”
“I hope longer than a minute,” Solomon laughed.
Suddenly Chandra pulled out, allowing Eros to fill in his place. He eased up between my cheeks, slipping in from behind and wrapping his arms tight around me.
I cried out, feeling the first peak of intensity from my gut. I threw my head back against Eros’ shoulder, almost completely out of breath. Someone would have to give me mouth to mouth to survive.
“That’s it,” Eros puffed. “Feel me. Take me. Oh you’re beautiful! You’re amazing. Supple creature you are-”
“Enough adjectives,” Chandra laughed. “She’s close. She doesn’t need words. She needs actions.” His hand touched me below, fingering my clit.
It was too much, too hard a push. I erupted from that touch, arching my back and struggling to keep myself in their arms. I cried out, whimpering pitifully as Chandra continued to touch me, not stopping even though my body was crying out in that agonizing ecstasy.
“You’ll kill her,” Reap said gently.
“Nonsense, women are stronger than most. She can handle this,” Chandra moaned. I felt his warmth against my belly, he was cumming from seeing me cum. His thick seed dribbled down my belly, coating his fingers as he kept moving them against me.
“I’m cumming too-” Eros said with breathless abandon. “I’m-!” The strain in his voice choked off his words as he released, filling me to the brim even more than I expected.
The cool of the grass and flowers beneath my back pushed me back into reality. I gazed above me, seeing eyes watching me as I tried to pull myself out of my stupor.
“Wow!” I panted, pushing my hair out of my forehead.
Venus chuckled. “You’ve still got three to go.”
I gave a thumbs up.
“A thumbs up, she’s a brave one,” Solomon laughed as he rolled over into my side. He pet down my chest, nuzzling my neck and murmuring softly to me.
“We should let her rest,” Reap said gently.
I propped up on my elbows. “I can handle it. I’ll be sore come morning, but I’m used to that,” I laughed.
“Well then, don’t mind me.” Solomon climbed up on top of me, stroking the hair from my face and gazing into my eyes. “I hope you don’t mind.”
I shook my head, raising my knees up around his hips so he could move between my thighs.
“Eros and Chandra left quite a mess,” Solomon murmured. “Good. I like that.”
I would say Solomon was the middle ground between Chandra, Eros, and Reap. He was quite big, but more long than girthy. He breathed in deeply, rubbing himself against me before he took the plunge. I was still quite sensitive, and his entrance shot tingles through all my limbs.
Solomon held up my legs, hugging them to his chest as he started slowly within me. He breathed out then hissed through his teeth. “Damn boys got my leg. But this will all be worth it. I can feel it.”
I could too. He reached deeper inside me than Chandra or Eros. I could tell he was holding back, but at this point he really didn’t need to.
Venus knelt down by my head. “Do you mind if-?” He seemed shy to ask.
“What would you like?” I stretch out my arm, rubbing up his thigh towards his cupped hand.
“Well-” He released himself from his hand, aiming his cock towards my mouth. “Just a little. That’s all.”
I parted my lips, letting him rest his tip upon my tongue. He pressed deeper, going into my cheek then towards my throat. I closed my lips around him and he breathed out this pitiful little sound.
I wondered what Reap was doing. We started out together, I hoped he wasn’t growing impatient or anything.
“Trade?” Solomon chuckled to Venus.
Venus nodded eagerly, carefully removing himself from my lips then switching positions with Solomon. Venus was short, but quite girthy, he stretched me a bit as he slipped inside. Solomon’s length hit against my throat, almost making me gag. But I had trained my gag reflux ages ago due to shoveling manure on the farm. Sorry, not exactly sexy talk, I’ll leave it there though.
“Oh-” Venus let out that adorable, pitiful sound again. His face was elated and subtly precious. Solomon’s cock went down my throat a little, he struggled with not cumming immediately.
There was a shudder again from deep within. Actually, I’m not surprised this didn’t happen sooner. Chandra and Eros had left me so raw and tender, I should have cum when Venus first entered me. But it took a moment to grow back, to settle warm in my belly and spill out again. My legs trembled first, sending their waves up through my body until I could no longer hold on.
Solomon sensed this, pulling himself out and splattering a bit on my lips, then aiming himself at my breasts as he finished. Venus cried out, nearly falling forward from  he force at which his release hit him.
Venus rested on top of me, snuggling to my chest despite Solomon’s seed all over them. Solomon chuckled, smoothing my hair back and kissing my face as I relaxed again.
“Any good?” He asked.
I nodded, not really able to form words this time.
“Mm,” Venus snuggled up closer, curling himself around me.
“Come on little one, we’ve got one last one to make his turn.” Solomon, said, shaking Venus’ shoulder.
Venus swatted at him. “Just a second longer.”
“It’s okay. I’m fine,” Reap responded quietly.
“What’s fair is fair.” Solomon managed to get Venus up. “Come on, you need to wash that pretty face of yours.”
“What?” Venus touched his face and squirmed. “Oh god! I laid in it!”
Solomon and Venus walked aside while Reap came over to me. “If you need a break, I don’t mind waiting.”
I pulled him down, hugging him tight into my arms. “Just a minute. I‘ll be okay.” I nuzzled into his neck, feeling him trembled as his arms joined in.
“This is nice,” he whispered.
I was exhausted, my body spent beyond its natural borders. But I wasn’t done yet. Eight out of ten hands were dealt with. Just two more to take care of. “It is.”
“I do really like you,” he whispered. “Had this been a normal festival…I would have…you would have been-”
I kissed him softly, gazing up into his eyes as I pet his face. “I would have liked that.” I smiled, sitting up to roll him into the ground. My legs were tired, but I knew this position was the best way to take him. His beast of a cock didn’t need to be tamed exactly, just coddled. After everything, I think I was even more relaxed than before and could take him with ease.
“You don’t-” I put my finger over his mouth to keep Reap quiet.
“Shh,” I hissed. “Relax. You’ve earned this. You’ve been so patient.” I placed my hands upon his chest. Easing myself back over him. It was much easier than before, much smoother. I could take him deeper now.
Reap’s eyes widened then he threw his head back, groaning. He trembled more, grasping onto my hips as I moved upon him.
Had it not been for this whole mess with the other chosen not showing up, Reap would have been my choice as well. He was exactly what I wanted in a partner. But now, knowing all five of these strapping paralangua, I don’t think I could ever choose between them. They were all so special, so precious. Their differently personalities meshed well, including with me. I liked they worked together and they didn’t seem jealous. I wanted this, more than anything, I wanted all of them. Not just their ten hands. But their five hearts.
Poor Reap had been waiting so long, I could feel his thunder deep within me. He came and he came, shuddering and twisting as his long awaited release finally took over. I rode him the entire time, finding pleasure in watching him writhe under me.
I woke some time later in a bed, sunlight dappling in through the curtains. I sighed and laid back, not too eager to get up and started my day. The Golden Girls were surprisingly quiet. But then I recalled what had happened, and where I actually was.
I was in the castle at the end of the labyrinth. I sat up in the bed to look around, noticing the soreness of my thighs. I tilted my head towards the door to try and see out, but I couldn’t really see anything.
I laid back down, closing my eyes and enjoying the coolness of the room. It must have rained between my memory and waking up. I could smell it in the air.
I then felt the bed sag and looked to my right. Venus was crawling back into bed. He snuggled up against me and I put my arms around him.
“We didn’t wake you did we?” He asked. “We went to the farm to take care of things while you slept.”
“You’re too sweet, thank you.” I murmured.
“Solomon is making something to eat too.” Venus sighed tranquilly as he rested against me.
“Good morning.” Reap joined us in bed as well, curling up to my back and spooning me. He smelled like the soap in my kitchen. I wonder if he did my dishes.
“Morning,” I murmured.
Reap nuzzled to my hair, breathing in. I rested again, nearly falling asleep when my temple was kissed from over Venus. Chandra joined us, followed by Eros who crawled up beside Venus to cuddle me.
I smiled to myself, feeling a bit smug and content with how this all turned out. Eventually Solomon arrived, bringing coffee and tea for all of us. We sat upon the bed, drinking the warm beverages and sighing in content. Nothing needed to be said, we had a long time to say everything in the future. For now, we were content and happy. I’m sure we would spend time here at the castle for a while, like all chosen did. But soon, I’d have to find room for them on the farm. Which sounded like a perfect chore.

Cho Sang Woo X F!Reader: A blast from the past
Tumblr media
a/n: this was originally supposed to be a Gi hun x Sang-woo X reader but it became something else.
Warnings: smut, kissing, Sang woo being an ass, fluff, jealousy, fingering, penetration (p in v), mentions of attempted suicide, domish Sang woo, fighting, no use of y/n, not proofread, female reader
Word count: 3656 (holy moly)
Fate is a funny thing. Here you were, trapped inside a game of death with none other than your childhood best friends. You hadn’t seen them in ages but the moment you laid eyes on the two men you recognized them instantly. You raced over to them, a smile on your face as you watched the men's eyes widen in recognition.
“Oh my god! Sang-woo, look who it is!”
Gi hun wasted no time, immediately pulling you into a warm embrace. He smelled different then you remembered. The sugary scent that he had when he was a child was completely gone, replaced with a metallic scent that reminded you of coins. Gi hun pulled out of the embrace, his arms holding onto your shoulders as he turned to glance at Sang-woo with an easy smile. The other man gazed at you with an impassive expression. He had always had a sober look, even as a child. You smiled at him but he didn't return the gesture, opting instead to push his glasses up.
“What are you doing here?”
The emotionless tone in which he asked the question made a twinge of anger shoot through you. He sounded like he was judging you.
“I could ask you the same thing, Mister SNU Business School graduate.”
Gi hun looked between the two of you, noticing the obvious tension. In a desperate attempt to stop this conversation before it became an argument, something that often happened when you and Sang-woo had any sort of interaction, Gi hun placed his hands on either one of your shoulders. You looked at him, your belly warming at the sight of his goofy smile.
“Looks like we’re going to be playing some games. Should be fun right?”
You glanced at the doll at the edge of the room.
“I was always quite good at red light, green light.”
Sang-woo shrugged Gi hun's hand from his shoulder before silently moving away from the two of you. You scoffed at the action.
“What’s up his ass?”
“I think he’s embarrassed that you saw him like this.”
“But I'm in here too. And so are you.”
“Yeah well, I never had a promising future laid out for me.”
Your brows furrowed at his words but Gi hun just shrugged, as if he knew the affirmation was true.
“Plus, he always wanted to impress you. Even as kids.”
Before you could question Gi huns words a voice rang out through the room, telling you the games were about to begin.
Your hands shook as you walked back into the dormitory. Blood stained your face and clothes. You looked like a zombie, stumbling around in silence until you reached your bed. You knew the boys had made it too, you’d gotten a quick glance at them as you walked back to the dormitory but you were far too out of it to do anything about it. Luckily you didn’t have to search for them. They found you instead.
You raised your head as a sudden darkness filled your field of vision. Sang-woo stood before you, his face covered in sweat. Somehow he’d managed to keep his glasses on during the game. He didn’t say anything, his eyes moving over the blood on your body. A shrill call of your name rang out from behind you, causing you to look over his shoulder. Gi hun raced towards you, pushing past Sang-woo so he could get to you. He kneeled before you, his hands moving to hold onto your face.
“Are you okay?”
His eyes seemed to notice the blood for the first time, eyebrows raising with horror.
“Are you hurt? Did you-”
“It’s not hers.”
Sang-woos voice made the two of you look up at him.
“What?”
“The blood Gi hun. It’s not hers.”
Your lip started shaking. Before you could stop them the tears began flowing from your eyes. A small sob made its way from your lips, causing Gi hun’s head to snap back to you. He watched you with wide eyes for a moment before his hands moved to tug you into him. He pulled you to the floor, holding you in a fierce hug.
“It’s okay. We’re okay.”
Sang-woo watched the exchange with a heavy heart. He watched the way your hands clawed at Gi huns jacket, desperately trying to cling onto something. He wanted to move but he didn't feel like he should. You were probably angry at him, he’d been a dick to you after all. He thought of moving away, leaving you and Gi hun to your tender embrace. But before he could turn around your voice ripped through the silence. You called out his name in a rough whisper, voice a barely contained sob. You hand moved from Gi hun’s jacket, extending it to him in invitation. Gi hun unclinged himself from your body, allowing him to look at Sang-woo. Sang-woo looked from your tear stained face to Gi hun's wide eyed expression and before he could stop himself he was sinking to the floor before you, allowing you to pull him into a tight hug.
You were sitting on your bed, one of the boys on either side of you. Gi hun held one of your hands in his lap. Sangwoo’s gaze drifted to your hands ever so often, a small twinge of jealousy making its way into his mind. He didn’t know why he’d suddenly started caring about your caresses with Gi hun. Even as children you’d always been closer to the other boy, a consequence of Sangwoos cold nature. But now he wished you’d cling onto him the way you clung to Gi hun. The thought was ripped out of his head when the alarm sounded.
During the whole voting process your hand remained glued to Gi huns. You watched player after player vote until finally it was Sangwoos' turn. You gave him a small smile as he walked over to the buttons. Your face dropped as you watched him press “O”. You could feel Gi hun's disappointment beside you but he pushed it down to whisper in your ear.
“It’s okay. We still have a chance.”
You nodded, eyes never moving away from the back of Sang-woos head.
Your body crashed onto the harsh ground with a thud. You groaned as you tried to lift your body up. You couldn't see a thing and your body was bound at an awkward angle. You felt a pair of hands move against your face. You twisted away, a small shriek leaving your lips.
“Stop wiggling around.I’m trying to help.”
You recognized his voice instantly. A small part of you wanted to keep wiggling just to make his life harder, but the cold air on your body was becoming very uncomfortable so you stayed still. The moment both of you were free Sang-woo made his way over to his bag, pulling out his clothes. You stared at him in disbelief. He seemed to notice your eyes on him because he turned around.
“You should get dressed. You’ll get sick.”
You let out a scoff.
“Like you give a shit.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You voted to stay!”
You’d made your way over to him, hands moving to tug the bag out of his hand before throwing it at the floor. Sang-woo gave you a tired look.
“I’m really not in the mood-”
“Oh! I’m sorry! You’re not in the mood to listen to what a shit person you are?”
Sang-woo bit into his lips in anger, his head moving to look at the road.
“Don't look away from me!”
You hit his chest with all your might, something you would do when he’d pissed you off.
“What the hell were you thinking huh? People were killed! We were all going to die and you wanted to keep playing? For what? Some extra cash?”
“Extra cash?”
He was angry now. You could tell from the look on his face, the way his lips became a small line as he spoke.
“That money would get rid of my debt!”
“It’s blood money Sang-woo!”
“Don’t pretend you didn’t think about it. I saw your face when they started to fill the piggy bank. You wanted it.”
You shake your head at him.
“You don't know anything about me. You never bothered to.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You know what it means!”
Your face was so close to his that he could feel your breath on his skin. You were looking up at him with a scowl, your brows furrowed so intensely that the line on your forehead became very predominant. You’d only ever looked at him with such anger once before. He didn’t want to remember that day. His eyes shifted over to your body, gaze catching on the bare skin.He couldn’t help it, he’d always found you rather beautiful. He wanted to keep arguing but he was cold and tired. He knew you would keep this up all night if you had to. You were stubborn like that. So he did the only thing he knew would shut you up. He kissed you.
He tasted like cigarettes, his hands were cold as they grabbed onto your waist, pulling flush against his body. Your brain stopped working for a moment, the feeling of his lips was intoxicating but then you seemed to remember that you were mad at him. You shoved him off of you. Your face was flushed, chest rising and falling as you stared at him.
“You’re such a dick Sang-woo.”
With that you’d turned on your heels making your way to the bag that held your clothes. Sang-woo watched you rip it open, removing your clothes from inside before beginning to get dressed. He waited for a moment before beginning to get dressed too.
Your shoulders shook as you walked down the road. You’d been giving Sang-woo the silent treatment ever since you’d both decided you would walk to the nearest convenience store so you could charge your phones. You kept up with Sang-woos pace but it was obvious you were having a hard time with the cold, not that you would ever admit it to him. Sang-woo stopped abruptly. You turned around to look at him.
“What are you doing? We're almost there.”
You watched him take off his suit jacket. He put his hand out to you, offering you the garment. You glanced at the jacket and then up at him. What was his deal? First he treats you like shit, then he kisses you and now he’s giving you his jacket.
“Take it. I know you’re cold.”
You're about to say you’re fine but a strong gust of wind blows causing you to shiver.
“Oh for fucks sake.”
Sang-woo makes his way to you, placing his jacket over your shoulders. You stare up at him as he drapes the jacket over your body. His glasses are slightly falling down his nose so you raise a finger to his face and push them up. He looks at you for a moment, surprised by the action.
“Thanks.”
“You’re still an asshole.”
With that you start walking again, leaving Sang-woo behind with a shocked expression.
It had been a day since you’d left the games. No matter how hard you tried you couldn’t seem to stop thinking about that place. Or about Sang-woo. You hated to admit it but even since you’d seen him you’d been plagued by memories of your childhood. You had a crush on Sang-Woo when you were younger. It was hard not to be attracted to him. But as you two grew older he seemed to become more and more distant. One night you had a big fight. It was right before you’d gone off to college and neither one of you had spoken since then. That is until the games brought you back together.
You stood in front of his door, a bag of takeout in your hand as the other moved to ring the doorbell. When there was no sign of an answer you rang again. You waited for him to come to the door but it seemed he wasn't home. With a disappointed sigh you began moving away. Your head snapped back to the door when you heard the lock click.
Sang woo stared at you, his eyes moving to the bag in your hand before moving to glance at your face.
“What are you doing here?”
“I thought maybe you’d like some company…”
You looked at him, noticing the water that dripped from his pants.
“Did you fall into the bathtub?”
Sang-woo moved out of the way, not bothering to answer your question. You entered his apartment, being careful as to not slip on the watery floor. Sang woo trailed behind you in silence. He watched you remove the food from your bag, placing it on the table before turning to look at him.
“You should probably change. You’re all wet.”
He looked down at his feet, watching the water drip from his pants. You watched him, worry filling your chest. You made your way to him. Sang-woo lifted his gaze from the floor as you approached him. The pitiful look you gave him made him feel pathetic.
“Do you want me to help?”
He nodded slowly.
“Okay.”
You moved your hand to his chest, slowly beginning to unbutton his shirt. Once you've managed to get all the buttons you reached beneath the cloth, pushing his shirt and jacket off in one go. The wet fabric landed with a dull thud on the ground. Your hand moved to his waistband, eyes gazing up at him through your lashes. The tension filled the air, making it hard to breathe. You moved slowly, afraid that any harsh move would make Sang-woo react negatively. You began to work on his belt but his hand stopped you. You looked up at him, searching for discomfort in his face.
“Everything okay?”
He nodded, his hand moving to rest on your waist. You gasped as his cold hand made its way beneath the fabric, fingers skimming over the bare skin. He tugged your shirt up a bit, stopping only to look at you for confirmation that this was okay. You nodded at him, not trusting your voice. You lifted your arms, allowing him to tug your shirt off. He looked at you for a while, just talking in the sight of your flushed expression. One of his hands moved to trace your collarbone and you let out a breathy sigh.
“Sang-woo.”
“Hum?”
“Please don’t tease.”
“I’m not.”
“Yes you are.”
He was. But not on purpose. He was trying to remember every inch of your face. He needed to go back in time, even if just for one night. He wanted to feel like a teenager again. Young and unburdened. His hand moved to hold onto your face, fingers tracing your lips before he leaned down to kiss you. The kiss was gentler than the one he’d given you the night before. Your hands wrapped around his neck, tugging him closer. Your pants began to drench up the water from his as the two of you kissed. You pulled away to breathe and Sang-woo took it as a chance to kiss your neck. You gasped as his tongue moved over your skin. Your hands fumbled against his belt, tugging it off in desperation before moving to pull his pants down. His own hands found their way to your bottoms, pulling them off as well.
The two of you broke apart for a moment, panting as you took in the sight of each other. Your eyes traced over Sang woo's body, you’d seen it hours prior but the circumstances had been very different. You couldn’t help but rub your thighs together as your eyes caught onto his hard on. Sang-Woo's throat was suddenly dry. He’d been planning to kill himself moments ago, if you hadn't knocked he’d probably gone through with it. He pushed the thoughts down, trying to focus on the task at hand. There was a beautiful semi naked woman before him. He wasn’t going to waste the opportunity.
With one long stride Sang woo made his way to you, kissing you with a newly found hunger. He pushed you against the wall, his lips swallowing your gasps. His hard on rubbed against your clothed cunt and you couldn’t help but moan. His hand moved down your body, fingers rubbing over your underwear for a moment before pushing it to the side. You gasped as his digits entered you, nails digging into the muscles of his back. The sound your pussy made as he fingered you was down right shameful but you couldn’t get yourself to care. Not when your body buzzed with your upcoming orgasm. Your mouth went slack as Sang woo shifted his hand, allowing him to enter his fingers even deeper.
“I missed you.”
“You’re the one that didn’t keep contact.”
Sangwoo grumbled at your words, fingers curling into you.
“I- ah- had to find out how you-shit- were through your mother.”
He was moving at a rapid speed, his motions making the air leave your chest.
“Gi hun was all over you.”
“What?”
The words caught you off guard. Here you were,in his apartment, with his fingers inside you. And he was talking about Gi hun.
“In the games. He was all over you.”
“He was excited to see me. Unlike some people.”
Sang-woo stilled his movements at your words, making you whine.
“Why’d you stop?”
“You’re mine.”
“What are-”
“Say it.”
You looked up at Sang-woo with wide eyes. The pathetic puppy dong you’d found when you walked in was completely gone. Sang-woo was back and he knew exactly what he could do to you. Your walls clenched around his fingers as he waited for you to say what he wanted.
“I’m yours.”
Sang-woo's neck twitched at your breathy voice. He crashed his lips onto yours, fingers moving inside you once again. Your moans became more and more high pitched. You were so close, your eyes began to roll back into your head, mouth becoming slack. Just as you were about to tell Sang-woo you were going to cum he removed himself from you completely. You wanted to yell at him. He'd brought you to the brink only to rip it away at the last second.
You moved forward, fully prepared to hit him but you stilled when your gaze fell to his boxers. He was incredibly hard. There was a small stain on the fabric you assumed was pre cum. You watched him place his fingers on the edge of his boxers, thighs rubbing together in anticipation.  In one smooth movement he tugged his boxers down, his dick slapping proudly against his stomach as he removed it from its continents. Sang-woo hissed at the feeling of the cold air on his dick. You stared at him without a twinge of shame.
“Take your bra off.”
You didn’t even question it, immediately moving to unclasp the garment. Sang-woo made his way back to you, his hand moving to caress your breasts. You whined as he kissed your neck.
“Sang-woo please…”
“What is it, hum?”
“I need you inside me. Please fuck me.”
You could feel him smirk against your skin. This cocky bastard. You grabbed at his dick causing him to let out a moan. His head snapped up to look at you.
“I’m starting to lose my patience, Sang-woo.”
The look he gave you was comical. He was always in control but he’d forgotten just who he was dealing with.
“Either you fuck me right now or i’m leaving you to deal with this alone.”
“Oh yeah? And what about you huh? Gonna deal with this yourself.”
He grabbed at your cunt and you keened.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m sure Gi hun would love to help.”
A growl left Sang woo's lips. In a blink of an eye he’d dragged your underwear down, his hands pushing you against the wall as he inserted himself in you. He didn’t give you a moment to breathe, his dick beginning to bully into you. All you could do was whine as his dick rammed into your pussy. You grabbed onto him, legs moving to wrap around his waist.
“Think Gi hun could fuck you like this? Think he could even compare to me? Answer me!”
“No! Sang-woo only you can fuck me like this. Please!”
“Good girl. You gonna cum? Gonna cream all over my cock?”
You were a babbling mess, your head nodding eagerly as your orgasm approached. You half expected Sang-woo to pull away again. It’s not that he didn't think of punishing you, the idea did cross his mind but the feeling of you wrapped around him was far too irresistible. And then if it couldn’t get any better you came. A shrill screech of his name made its way out of your lips as your juices counted his dick. Your body sagged into his, head resting on the crock of his neck. His hands moved to grab at your ass, allowing his thrusts to quicken. You whined into his neck, a slight feeling of overstimulation beginning to come over you. Sang-woo gave one last harsh thrust before his body stopped moving. You felt his side spill into you, coating your walls with ease.
You removed your legs from his waist slowly. Sang-woo continued to pant, trying to recover from his orgasm. You pushed some hair off his face. He looked at you, his eyes full of an unexpected tenderness.
“Don’t leave me again.”
“I’m not going anywhere, Sang Woo. I’m right here.”
As if to prove your point you placed a loving kiss to his lips, forehead resting against his as silence filled the room.

i feel like if you look at my octopath tag for a bit it might be obvious which ships i’m drawn to AHAHAHAH so i would rather talk about a rarepair ship that’s technically not even possible in canon because one of them is already dead and the other is killed. but it kept me making up situations for a while and it was fun!
brace yourselves, it’s yusufa x gareth YURI. i imagine this happens in a timeline where, somehow, primrose managed to get yusufa help for her wounds and leaves her in the care of zeph in clearbrook. she leaves her because, as the ending in canon states, she wants her to be free. and by leaving her she’s giving her the freedom she never had. i imagine yusufa grieves this breakup of sorts for a while, but she comes to understand why primrose took that decision while her body recovers and she gets to talk to a man who doesn’t ask Anything of her, who doesn’t want her in the way she’s been used to.
i imagine she also goes on a trip across the continent, which is where meeting gareth comes into place. idk why, i always thought it was cute if she became an apothecary apprentice with a role akin to alfyn (healing people in need just for the sake of it) and in those travels she meets a wounded gareth left to die in a cave. they stay on that one town close to where that happens during his recovery which reminds yusufa of “home” but the environment is now significantly different to her. it doesn’t want to eat her alive.
gareth’s character is an obvious foil to therion who also went through darius’ brutal discarding. in canon he has to die in order for the plot to advance and he is the Only person therion has to kill across his 4 chapters. i think in canon he also is trapped in a cycle of violence because it’s clear by how he’s played as a pawn that darius also mistreats him but he has nowhere else to go to. while therion at this point in the plot has the other 7 travelers (or.. the ravuses if you choose a loner playthrough, but i think they’re narratively much much weaker than considering the other protagonists) backing him up, gareth has no one but darius. like therion before the fall.
in a sense both gareth and yusufa have been failed by the world they live on through sheer bad luck. though we know nothing about gareth’s backstory he is with darius for a reason and he is actively crushed by him. and yusufa was sold to helgenish as a child, leaving her with no other choice than to stay with him. when yusufa meets gareth in my timeline, i think they both recognize each others as survivors, and yusufa helps guide her through her newfound unexpected freedom as gareth also shows her new paths in hers. i also imagine gareth at first struggles with not returning to darius because in a twisted way her body still feels like she has to go back, miroring yusufa's grieving and letting primrose go in the beginning.
now ONTO THE YURI PART OKAY because gareth is canonically a man. i like to think there’s transgender things happening in my games you see. i honestly have not much explanation or justification for this other than i think that gareth stands at odds with existence itself and yet she chooses to live (extremely trans coded) even if she knows she’s only good at her thievery. i believe that both of their freedom is eventually expressed through breaking gender, as well. and through gareth, yusufa can also get a new meaning of womanhood, because she’s been sexualized for it for her entire life, but gareth helps her gain a new understanding that being a woman doesn’t have to mean she’s purely valuable as an object of sexual desire.
does this make sense? probably not. i’m admitting my secrets here ok. they’ve been hiding for YEARS i never talk about them but i have based some ocs around these concepts since they resonate so much. octopath helped me fuel my creativity as i developed as a teen (and also helped me find community at a time where i needed it) and i’ll always have a soft spot for that inevitably <3
I miss octopath yapping with people so uh yknow what! We’re gonna play a game!!
Explain in the notes what y’all’s favorite ships are and why you like them!!!
Only rules are
1) do not explain why everyone should think your ship is canon, as that is not the point of this post 2) do not put any other ships down bc that is also not the point of this post 3) ALL games are included (yes including cotc) 4) ANY SHIPS ARE ALLOWED!!! GO NUTS!!!!

Part 15 of 15!
[ Part XIV ]
Series Masterlist
A/N: I would like to preface this by saying thank you for reading this self-indulgent slop. I hope you got some small amount of enjoyment out of it. Your comments along the way kept me engaged enough to actually finish this. It's the first thing I've ever started writing that I actually feel like I finished. There's so much I could've added to this post-reunion that this would've never been done. I could always embellish at a later date if anyone wanted it. I'm also a bit sad to finish this because I don't have anything to look forward to now. Thank you for your time and attention. It means a lot.
Also, mea lux is 'my light' I believe.
Tumblr media
Almost two weeks passed before Letha laid eyes on Geta again.
It was prevented by a combination of things. There had been so much to deal with after the incident in the gardens. Geta had been embroiled in meetings, debating things Letha wasn’t privy to. There was a ceremony for Ancus, to honor him for his efforts to protect his Emperors. And at every party, everyone was so desperate to show face to their Emperors, to remind them of their loyalty in wake of the exposure of Macrinus’s plot.
Though she wasn’t invited to any official meetings or ceremonies, there were situations where she could’ve sought Geta out at these fetes and events. But she didn’t. She was scared to have that conversation that needed to happen.
She knew she was still treated as a guest in the palace. More like a fixture, really, available to distract Caracalla whenever the burden of rule grew too tiresome with more poetry, read under the shade of a tree in the gardens, Ancus always nearby. But aside from that, she felt quite restless.
It’s not as if she expected things to go back to how they were, but she didn’t think it would be this hard to put her thoughts together. Leaving the gardens that evening, neck still sore, she was imagining how she’d look over at Geta the next morning and fervently apologize, for all of it. She’d tell him she would understand if he sent her away, and he would assure her that he wouldn’t dream of it.
But the next morning she couldn’t leave her bed, paralyzed by this new fear. She’d gotten a chance to see what her relationship with Geta could be, she didn’t know what she would do if it was not that. And the possibilities he’d promised her most certainly couldn’t and wouldn’t happen anymore. She stewed in the hesitance, the uncertainty, until she became convinced that it absolutely would be different. No matter what different meant, she was sure it wouldn’t be good.
And so it continued, Letha skipping mealtimes that used to be routine, bumping into servants gossiping on her way into the kitchens to eat. Occasionally she heard her name on their tongues, her appearance causing them to freeze as if Letha were Medusa herself. Not wanting to make a scene, she’d just duck right back out, resolving to return later.
Caracalla assured her his brother was just being kept very, very busy in the wake of the subterfuge and death of Macrinus, but she couldn’t help but feel like it was a little intentional.
What did you expect, honestly?
She didn’t know why she was still allowed to wander the palace, as if she were back to being a guest. There were no guards posted outside her room, and for the last week she spent her evenings in the gardens, observing the moon, asking no one in particular what happens next.
She wasn’t naive, she knew Tegula didn’t trust her. And nothing spread faster than a salacious rumor. They weren’t so foolish as to speak poorly of their Emperor, so they resorted to tarnishing her reputation instead. She was a witch, had steered Macrinus to his end, was desperate to attach herself to the divinity the Emperors were entitled to.
It was ridiculous. If she had such powers, she sure wouldn’t have suffered all this.
It was all just more fuel for her suppositions, perpetuating her unhappy cycle until she felt like it would be better if she just snuck out one night. She could become a ghost story. But against all odds, she still carried hope that the next day would be different.
Tumblr media
As for Geta, well, Geta was trying to prevent an economic collapse. Some part of him thought Letha might think poorly of him if he let the empire fall around them because he would rather be locked up in his rooms, curled up in her. Because that was what he wanted. But he had a duty, a responsibility to steer this monstrous empire in a direction he could have heirs in. Perhaps the danger had put things into perspective.
Listening to the senators describe just how involved Macrinus had been in arming their voracious armies became more and more painful as they dove into the minutiae of complex accounts and processes he never bothered to pay attention to before. It was overwhelming. But he knew their efforts were working. Still, there were moments where he’d trade it all for those eyes on him again.
What little free time he had was spent trying to avoid Letha, because he needed hours, days, uninterrupted, for him to spill his heart to her. A few minutes here and there wouldn’t be enough to relay any of the complex emotions he felt. He couldn’t avoid her forever, though, because there was a certain conversation that had to happen. He needed to know where he stood with her before he picked a particular path to tread down.
So that was why he stalked the gardens that evening, waiting for her to appear for her nightly stargazing. And as he watched her spread out the emerald-dyed linen on the grass, he felt calm. Almost peaceful. He let himself forget the weight of all that had happened, the guilt, too. Everything they’d all been through.
Well, not everything.
Tumblr media
“You should have run far away from here,” Geta spoke, disturbing her peace.
Letha looked over her shoulder, her breath held in her lungs as she appraised him. It almost felt like the first time. The first time she saw him and admitted against her better judgment that he was beautiful.
The moonlight glinted off the laurels and the golden chestplate he still wore, though the ceremony had long been over. His hair was shiny, neat, framing his fair face. His deep, dark eyes, still lined in crimson, were locked on her.
He looked close to divine standing there in the golden armor, easily one of the most opulent things she’d ever seen. He somehow looked taller, broader, in the armor. Untouchable, too.
It was so late in the evening, he should’ve changed. He should be in bed. Anywhere but here.
No more hiding.
“I was locked in a cell, I wasn’t running anywhere.”
He surprised her by sitting beside her on the blanket, the ceremonial armor quite uncomfortable to lay down in. He kept his arms slung around his knees, the bindings of the tall sandals flexing over his shins as he joined her in staring up at the large moon.
“What about after?” After Macrinus. “You’ve had no chaperone for well over a week now.”
Letha felt her stomach twist. “I’ve thought about it.”
“But?” Geta supplied, turning his head away from the splendor of the night sky to peer down at her where she laid out beside him. A challenger to the celestial might hanging above.
“You know there would be no point.”
He raised an eyebrow. “I do?”
She rolled her eyes, a treasonous activity if done by any other, but it filled Geta with warmth, bringing the beginnings of a smile to his lips. It all felt so familiar.
“There’s something that is keeping me here. Besides the fact I wouldn’t last a day out there with nowhere to go.”
“I dared to hope,” he admitted, taking her own admission and shoving it into the cracks that were slowly mending, a makeshift mortar.
She looked over at him, a line forming between her brows as she studied him, thinking very hard about what to say next. He reached down with a finger, gently pressing at the center of her brows, pushing away the line.
“I’m sorry,” she blurted out, the pressure of his closeness becoming overwhelming.
“No,” he shook his head, moving his finger lower to press to her lips, silencing any further unnecessary apologies. “It is forgiven.”
Letha felt relief, could feel a tear forming at the corner of her eye. But she didn’t want to cry, not now. She recalled her apology muttered into his hair that day. He’d told her ‘no’ then too.
“Do you still care for me?” he asked, his voice low.
“Of course I do,” she whispered, feeling the tear slide down the side of her face.
He noticed it, moving his fingertip to wipe away the trail before resting his hand on the ground beside her head. He licked his lips, staring at her, all his weight bearing down, as if daring himself to collapse onto her.
As much as he might have enjoyed frolicking beneath the stars, removing this armor was not a graceful job, even for two.
“I want to show you something.” He pushed off the ground and sat up, the haze of him dispersed. She made herself sit up, kept her eyes on him as he stood up. He could feel a swarm of bees in his stomach moving angrily as he held a hand out for her to help her to her feet.
There was a split second of indecision and he nearly faltered, but her tight grip on his hand was a balm, immediately settling his nerves. As she leaned down to gather up the blanket, he tugged her hand, urging her to leave it.
Tumblr media
Geta  lifted the small chest off his desk and carried it over to where Letha sat on the side of the chaise in his room. It sank into the plush seat and she looked up at him, surprised.
“It’s quite heavy.”
“I can manage just fine,” he smiled, his teasing tone returning.
It was so easy to get caught up in his magnetism. She wondered if he knew he possessed such a thing.
“Go on,” he urged. “Open it.”
She obeyed, pushing up the lid, exposing a rich ruby interior, the box created to house this one ornate bauble. Laurels, golden and sparkling. There were small, dazzling red gems hidden among the leaves here and there.
“It’s beautiful,” she whispered, reaching in to run a finger along one of the gilded leaves. “Seems a bit small for you,” she admitted.
“It is,” he confirmed.
“Well I think Caracalla will love it,” she smiled, lowering the lid. “It’s a thoughtful gift.”
Geta reached down, pulling it back open. There was a look in her eyes that gave him pause, all the smiles and teasing forgotten. As if she knew already what he was about to say. To ask.
“It’s not for my brother.”
His words sent an icy chill down the center of her back, forcing her to sit up a bit straighter. He was already moving away, pacing.
“I have been busy, Letha,” he admitted. “I’ve spent more time with the senators than I can possibly stand. And in exchange for those long hours, I got this.”
“Geta, I—”
“Don’t feel like you need to say yes right now. Just promise me you will think on it. I know these last couple of weeks have been difficult, we’ve had a hell of a time trying to navigate—”
Letha stood and walked over to him as he rambled. She reached up and curled her fingers around the collar of the chestplate, pulling him down by it, pressing her lips to his.
Geta recognized the action immediately, bringing one of his hands up to cover hers where she held the armor, moaning against her lips. He pulled her in by the small of her back with his free hand. Her necklace clattered against the metal plate until it was muffled by the press of her against him.
He could not get near enough air into his lungs. He felt dizzy, incoherent, his blood at once diluted but also thickened, leaving his limbs feeling heavy with a honeyed sludge passing through his veins. The pressure of her hauling him down to her eager mouth by the bronze plate persisted in his brain, in his gut, and he suspected he would relive it for the rest of time.
“Letha,” he breathed, his palm pressing to her heated cheek. “You can take time,” he offered, though he would be lying if he said he was satisfied with this and nothing more.
“I’ve taken it,” she replied quickly, releasing the armor.
Before the dissatisfaction crept in, he felt her fingers at his side, brushing the underside of his arm that he immediately lifted. She worked at the buckle, pulling the leather free before moving down to the woven golden string keeping both halves together.
Once his brain caught up to hers, he pulled at the cords holding the pauldrons over his shoulders, the both of them picking up speed as an unspoken sense of urgency grew in the silence. It all hit the floor with a loud clattering, the pteruges joining it not long after.
Free from the weight of the heavy armor, Geta reached for Letha’s neck, pulling her into him, groaning against her lips as he attempted to make up for lost time.
As he held her, he realized she was working herself out of her dress. It was bunched up on her shoulders by the time he looked down. The next chance she got, the two of them needing air, she threw it off over her head.
“I would have gotten to that,” he breathed, allowing himself to look her over.
“Like I said, I’ve taken it.” she spoke with intention. He felt it low in his belly.
She got to spend only a moment more on her feet before he collected her in his arms and carried her to the bed. She let out a laugh as she sank into the plush arrangement of silks and pillows. He stared down at her, feeling that blooming of warmth in his chest that only she gave him.
 “What are you waiting for?”
As the words left her lips, Geta threw off the white tunic and joined her, crawling up her body to seal his lips to hers, finally allowing the weight of him to press her down into the bed. He had missed this. Her skin, already hot beneath his hands, her movements only drawing him in further, seeking his touch, his lips.
It had been a long couple of weeks.
He felt her bring a leg up around his hip and he reached for it, fingers digging into her thigh as he rutted against her. The ragged moan that left his throat said more about his desperation than anything else.
The tension in his arm trying to hold him up off of her was too much to ignore. He turned onto his side, clinging to her thigh, slowly bringing her with him until he was on his back. As she settled in this new position, she looked down where they met, a bashful smile on her face.
He couldn’t deny the wonder that overtook him at the sight of her above him, the way her mussed hair hung around her face, a few strands now loose. She was radiant, even in the night. Her nervous smile took hold in his chest, and he knew then that he would make it his goal to continue to find ways to draw that same smile from her.
“I missed you,” she admitted, eyes cast down to the expanse of his torso beneath her hands. “I thought we might never…”
“Letha, you possess me.” Her eyes widened, her body frozen in his hands. “I think that was why it hurt so much to be separated from you.” He shifted his hips, forcing heat into her cheeks. “And I owe you an apology.”
“It is forgiven,” she insisted.
He shot her a look. “I could have lost you. It was cruel and impulsive.”
“We are fortunate your brother had the good sense to intervene, then.”
“Please, do not speak of my brother right now,” he pleaded, squeezing her thighs.
She laughed at him, covering his hands with hers. “Let me distract you,” she offered, bringing his hands up higher, his fingers skimming her belly before she pressed his palms into her breasts.
“So beautiful,” he whispered, his hands squeezing her soft skin.
She ground herself down on him, using him, the sight filling him with desire for her. How he ever got pleasure from anyone else, he could never know. This was all he ever needed. He could only thank the gods, the fates, whoever brought her to him.
She surprised him as she swung her leg over him, leaving him there in the bed, a pathetic whine leaving his throat as the air hit his slick-wet cock.
Letha felt a bit unsteady on her feet as she walked through his room. She was ready to show him that she would take on the mantle, the responsibility of keeping him sated and happy.
Possessed him? She would never get over it.
She found the chest and lifted the lid, reaching down for the delicate crown. Even in the dim light it sparkled. Her prize in hand, she set it on her head and nearly sprinted back to Geta.
He still laid in the middle of his bed, a vision of long limbs and pale flesh. At the sound of her feet padding on the floor he craned his neck, his large brown eyes passing over her, lingering on her head, where the crown sat precariously.
His full lips parted in a grin. “Eager to fulfill your duty, Empress?” he questioned, his voice low with desire. He held his hands out for her, helping her return to her place astride his hips.
“Do you like it?” she asked a bit bashfully, her hands leaving his to steady the crown in her hair.
He let out a deep breath. “Mea lux,” he smiled, reaching up to pull her down to his chest, “you spoil me.” He stole a kiss from her lips before he reached up to adjust the crown so it would sit more securely on her head. She leaned into every touch, relishing the sensation of his large hands on her skin, skimming, gripping, squeezing.
She was so overwhelmed by him that she didn’t notice him preparing to shove into her, her only warning a quick swipe of him through her slick. They let out matching sighs as he filled her, like this was all they needed. Letha sat up, a hand pressed against his abdomen for support as she reacclimated to him.
“W-What exactly are the duties of an Empress, Geta?” she asked. His hips snapping up forcing a wanton moan to leave her lips.
His flush extended from his face and ears down to his chest. “Besides the obvious?”
She nodded, shifting her hips, moving on instinct, eager for relief.
He grunted, letting his head fall back. “Well,” he began, bucking his own hips up slightly to reward her. “You will sit with me in all the boring meetings. We will suffer together.”
“Mhmm,” she moaned, nodding. “I can do that.”
“You will advise me, keep me in line,” he grunted. “Tell me when I’m being a fool.”
“I will relish every chance I get,” she grinned, chasing her pleasure.
“Don’t look so excited,” he chuckled, biting his lip.
She felt her thighs burning, but she didn’t dare stop, the coil pulling ever tighter. “What else?”
“You will guard my heart, Letha,” he breathed, his eyes meeting hers.
Her hips stilled.
Geta flipped them, bringing his face down to hers. She ran her hands up his sides, over his shoulders, tangling in his hair as he kissed her. She relaxed beneath him, her legs wrapping around his hips as he drove into her at a steady pace.
“Can you do that?” he asked, meeting her eyes.
“Haven’t I been already?”
He blinked down at her, absorbing her words. “I love you.”
“I love you,” she echoed, pulling his face down to hers.
In the kiss, he quickened his pace. She felt like she was falling apart in his hands, unable to form more words. He reached down between them, his fingers finding home in the apex of her thighs, his nose brushing against hers as he urged her to her release.
She clung to him desperately, choked gasps leaving her throat as he pressed his lips against it. She clenched around him, the coil finally snapping and giving way for her hard-earned release. He pushed her through it, her hands squeezing his hips in an effort to slow him down, too sensitive.
He sat up, pulling her to him by her hips, grunting as he pounded into her.
“Is giving you an heir part of my duties as well?”
He laughed. “Not a requirement, but–” He cut himself off, burying himself in her as he fell on top of her, pulsing into her. “–a perk.”
He settled on top of her, his lips pressing to hers before he buried his face in the side of her neck. She held him close, running fingers up and down his back, enjoying the warmth of him despite all the sweat.
“I would stay like this forever,” she sighed, trying to fight off the exhaustion she felt. The last thing she wanted to do was sleep now that she had him back.
“I have no pressing business for two days, mea lux. You’re not leaving this room,” he spoke into her skin. “And when we do, we will be wed.”
She felt nervous, but optimistic. “Should we not have waited until after for this then?”
He lifted his head, his warm eyes settling on hers. Full of love and mirth. “Oh, no, dear Letha. I believe you said you have already taken your time to think,” he winked, “and I would not deprive my Empress of anything.”

FULL MOON IN LEO (2) 3RD HOUSE | FEBRUARY 12TH 2025 | SIDEREAL ASTROLOGY
To recognize astrological patterns, I will recap back to the last full moon in cancer 10th house that occurred on January 13th, 2025. During that time, energetically, you and others felt the call to make some long-term decisions. Full Moons remind me of a nine-month-old pregnant woman whose water just broke and is now ready or “forced” to deliver a baby. I also mentioned how when a baby is born, sometimes a parent or both, abandons the child. I concluded this is in part due to fear, a lack of commitment, previously bad examples and experiences or perhaps financial strain; but ultimately, it’s due to a lack of maturity and a willingness to step up to the plate. Whether you have children of your own or not, the concept is still the same. Before a child is conceived, there are absolute ideas, opinions and thoughts surrounding a baby. Some people want a child more than anything whereas, for others they actively try to avoid such a fate. My point is the child was initially a thought an idea that nine months later became a reality.
We all have ideas and thoughts that we have created by ourselves or with the help of another, that we want to give birth to. Some people create and nurture babies while others go off to create businesses, books, groups, projects, careers, homes and families for example. All of which require long-term commitment. Your goals do not care how you feel and the same can be said for the families, relationships, careers, businesses, homes etc. When the Full moon occurred back on January 13th, 2025, I personally was unable to show up for myself and my endeavors. Why? I realized That I still harbor negative feelings towards my parents who I do not feel nurtured me properly or committed to the idea of me especially when faced with the reality of me. You see, it’s very easy for any of us to form an idea, just like its quite easy to have sex and get someone pregnant. In the beginning stages of creating a baby or drafting a business plan or career moves, it’s easy and fills us with great pleasure but then when time demands that you start working on and taking your initial idea serious, the problems arise and result usually in abandonment of the idea. We then try to find a replacement aka. a distraction to compensate or cope with the failure we essentially created. With this in mind, can you recognize the patterns? Can you somewhat now decipher what this full moon in Leo will entail? Before I jump into that, I also want to address the New Moon in Capricorn 9th house that we experienced on January 29th,2025.
To refresh your memory, New Moons are a time when it’s most appropriate to set intentions for your life. Again, setting intentions. Having ideas and creating them is easy, however. with Capricorn/ Saturn’s influence, setting those intentions or drafting that plan or creating that baby is promised to come with much difficulty. The same difficulty some of us abandoned back on the last Full Moon in Cancer 10th house. The same difficulty your parents or whomever raised you experienced while raising you. There’s a Pattern. The New Moon’s purpose in Capricorn 9th house was to break that abandonment, fear based, negative & lack mentality and inadequacy pattern- including negative habits we’ve developed to cope with such profound and reoccurring failures. Furthermore, the purpose was to finally just do the thing on your own or with someone on the same page as you. Someone who has the same beliefs as you, thanks to the 9th house. An example. Back in the day I was a committed bodybuilder and working my way up in the fitness world. I was developing a brand and a name for myself. During that intense and hyper focused time, I only wanted to be surrounded by other bodybuilders. I could not tolerate being around regular aka. half ass gym goers or unhealthy eaters. I needed to be around other fitness junkies who shared the same goal as me, which was competing in fitness competitions. This helped with keeping me competitive, focused and determined.
It never mattered how I felt. I remember crying on the stair stepper for 1 hour with menstrual cramps. Those cramps were not strong enough to deter me from my goal and in part, it was due to the “company” I kept. Bodybuilding Is an independent sport, but I was still surrounded by those with the same beliefs and goals, and this kept me committed until it didn’t. Until I allowed a man to come into my life who triggered some unhealed patterns, and this is when I started to spiral. I eventually abandoned bodybuilding and since then have not been able to bounce back. It’s not because I am incapable but more so, there’s fear and feelings of inadequacy. I wasn’t strong enough emotionally or spiritually to combat those unhealed negative patterns, I developed from my childhood, that I thought were addressed and healed. Perhaps fitness was an illusion. I wanted to build a strong body and mind, but I failed to create/ build a stronger emotional and spiritual center. Why? In hindsight, due to not having that in my environment. I had strong bodybuilders in my environment but not strong spiritual or emotional people- all of which I needed. So instead, I created a distraction or allowed a distraction to come through and I suffered as a consequence.
My personal story is a prelude into the Full moon in Leo (2) 3rd house. How regretful and stupid would you feel about abandoning a child, an idea, career, relationship or some opportunity that ends up being successful? Keep in mind that the definition of success varies per individual and the energy of Leo is all about individuality- What sets up apart and makes of “special”. Speaking from experience, I do regret not following through with my bodybuilding career. Who could I be now had I fought my inner evil, fears and resentment that derived from my earlier years? In true Leo fashion, I can only assume that I would feel accomplished and be quite successful. [ insert the violin] . Leo at 2 degrees falls within the decan ruled by Leo. The potential within this degree is contingent upon your environment and your audience. The sign of Leo rules the 5th house of creativity, pride, ego, our inner child, risks and those things or people in which bring us great joy. With Saturn being in Aquarius opposite to this full moon denoting joy, passion and taking a risk, this indicates fear, limitations, delays and blockages that we all internalize and unfortunately allow to influence us and ultimately resulting in our joy, pride, ego aka personality and who we are trying to become, becoming stifled and or stolen. Due to the Full moon being in the 3rd house, governor of our immediate environment, childhood, siblings and thoughts- it further confirms my analysis. The sign of Leo is known to always compare themselves to others due to the competition of being center stage, all eyes on me- Tupac Shakir vibes.
When the sign of Leo does not receive attention from others, all the attention, it becomes depressed. The problem Leo signs, or the energy Leo exudes is that it/they are unable to look within and give itself what they seek from others and most times others will let you down – especially due to jealousy. We equate Leo energy with fame, fortune and good looks. This incites jealousy, intimidation and hatred from others who want what they perceive that you have. We can turn on the news or any social media outlet- courtesy of the 3rd house and we will see millions of people hating someone and actively trying to tear down and demean celebrities or those with wealth for some illusionary reason when in reality- it’s mainly due to jealousy and envy. We also have witnessed others who are up and coming being overlooked, criticized and unsupported. We witness people who are genuinely and naturally talented get overlooked. Some of you have experienced this personally- especially in your immediate environment. It seems that the people around you, whether that be friends, family or lover not supporting you whereas complete strangers will. This is hurtful and damaging to one’s ego and sadly, that is the point and purpose of these jealous and envious people, and these people are more than likely your friends, family and lovers. To reiterate, the sign and energy of Leo needs others to validate them, and it’ll become clear that others are intentionally refusing to do so.
This Full moon in Leo 3rd house poses the question of whether or not you are going to pick up and commit to the thing despite not receiving validation, praise, getting the leading role or feeling worthy. Or if you will continue to let others dictate your worth and ultimately, you become depressed and abandon everything all together- all of which will only hurt you and empower your haters. Those haters are disguised as friends, family and lovers. Again, the 2nd degree of Leo, is in Leo which suggests potential and with Saturn in Aquarius opposing your potential- others are opposing you and this should be made very clear for you to see especially with this full moon in Leo.
This Full Moon will either influence you to abandon your ideas and ultimately leading you into depression and or, you can use mars rx in Gemini, to fight back by developing mental toughness and strength to overlook those who are intentionally overlooking you. continue expressing yourself and ideas despite not receiving validation. Others do not define you or what you have to offer and let’s be frank, those who are trying to define you and steal your light are jealous and envious of you. You have a light, a gift, a talent and a strong personality that intimates others while simultaneously, exposing their inadequacy that they have failed to address or heal. This energy reminds me of the quote “ they want to see you do good, just not better than them”. I am being generous by stating others want to see you do good because again, Leo energy is the actor of the zodiac therefore, people act like they want to see you do good but their actions, with consideration to mars rx in Gemini, prove otherwise. A lot of people abandoned their dream and cannot stand for you to pursue and or accomplish your dreams. It is so painful to their ego but that’s not your problem. Unfortunately, with Chiron, Neptune, the north node and Venus all conjunct in Pisces, others are projecting their pain and lack onto you further explaining why others are intentionally trying to act like they do not see or recognize your talents and ability.
They fail to see potential in themselves and therefore cannot see or refuse to see it in you. Personally, I am adopted, and my mother was and still is jealous of me, but I didn’t see that until I became much older and more consciously aware. She never complimented me in fact she criticized my appearance all the time and hated when I received attention. This led to her making me wear oversized  hand me down clothing and she would rarely get my hair done. I’ve always been athletic; however, my family failed to support me or show up to my basketball games. Her biological daughter was given all the praise, attention and support though... I was always an afterthought, and this pattern followed me throughout my life, even now. I became a shell of a person and always made myself small because of my upbringing and how I was treated. As a result, I never committed to anything or anyone because I knew eventually, someone was going to take away my joy and confidence- as designed. I became fearful, quiet and resigned. I allowed someone else to rob me of my potential and in adulthood, there’s regret and resentment because why didn’t I fight back? Why didn’t I continue to practice basketball or write my poetry despite my family not supporting me? Where would I be today if I was mentally strong enough to overcome the shade, jealousy and envy? For me,
this Full Moon in Leo is conjunct my Midheaven and Chiron in Leo 10th house and opposing my natal Saturn rx in Aquarius – Surprise! This Full Moon feels personal.
I choose to fight back, what about you? I personally have an empty 3rd house and so this Full Moon is giving me my voice and creating a space in my environment to speak out and express myself including my overlooked and undervalued talents. This Full Moon is also giving me the confidence to do it regardless of the lack of support I know I will receive.
I was abandoned at birth and throughout my life and I repeated that pattern, Until now. Because my family, “friends”, acquaintances and past “lovers” refused to see my worth or nurture me in a way I desperately needed, it’s like the universe, the moon, will do it instead. And By the Moon, I mean I will do it for myself instead. [ side note: I also forgot to mention that the sun is officially in Aquarius now conjunct Saturn, so expect to see in live time others opposing who you are trying to become considering the sun represents who we are trying to become in this life]
“If you want something done right, do it yourself” right? If you need (due to the moons influence) attention, praise and for someone to recognize your worth- give all of those things to yourself instead. Empower yourself instead of allowing others to because as forementioned many times above and in various ways- others are intentionally trying to steal your light. By stealing your light, you are reduced to depression and becoming a shell of a person while they become powerful. In true Leo fashion- that should never happen. Leo energy would rather die than to play behind the scenes and thanks to the vertex in Scorpio 5th house – you will need to either die and allow this Full Moon to assist in your rebirth and or, succumb to death. Death by depression, insecurity, lack mentality, excuses, resentment, rage, envy, projected but internalized jealousy and regression.
Remember that you have a natural ability or talent whereas others have to work very hard to be and have what comes natural to you. These haters are jealous of you but instead, if you allow it, you become jealous of them and for what? They are intentionally rejecting, avoiding and overlooking you when in reality- you naturally rejected, overlooked and avoided them. You aren’t doing this on purpose, but they are. See the difference? They want to play and steal a role that comes naturally to you. However, if this Full Moon in Leo resonates with you understand that you have allowed others to steal your birth right and you need to be more than willing now- to fight for your throne. Retake your throne. Do not allow your past ( Saturn energy) to rob you of that idea of love, career, happiness, joy, career advancement or entrepreneurship. Do not allow a negative family history to deter you from starting and committing to a family of your own or whatever else.
Let’s get into the aspects.
Moon Opposite Mercury
Leo (2) 3rd house / Aquarius (2) 9th house
Simply put, how you choose to show up or not, others will have a problem with it. This placement gives me the vibes of “ damn if you do, damn if you don’t”. I rather be damned for doing than to feel damned for the latter. Mercury in the sign of Aquarius suggests geniuses but also rebellion and awkwardness. In the 9th house of higher / expanded and universal beliefs. If you are showing up for yourself and giving all your attention and affection towards yourself while expressing yourself, expect to be met with indifference. This energy also reminds me of a song by Chris Brown, “ how you hating from outside the club, you can’t even get in”. This Opposition suggests that society has learned to be indifferent and aloof towards anyone who expresses themselves with confidence. Aquarius energy, despite popular belief, is not about individuality. The Sign of Leo is. If Aquarius energy represents the collective- how, is there individuality?
Did you watch the Super Bowl? There was an entire stadium of people and that’s all you see, people. That’s Aquarius Energy. If you are watching this video, what you are experiencing is Leo energy- you are watching just me, an individual. In conclusion, most people blend in and want to appear like everyone else- they want to fit in therefore, we have a society that acts, thinks, looks and wants the same thing. They are no different than being in a crowd of people at a football game- you are a part of something bigger than you. This YouTube video is just me! -separate from everyone else. Do you see the problem? You rarely see or experience jealousy in crowds because everyone is equal but the moment you start standing out (leo energy) it’s a problem because how dare you? “ I’m scared to express myself and resentful I don’t have attention so how dare you separate yourself and seek attention?” ( even if it’s well-deserved attention) Like the football game, everyone is on the same page ( to some degree because everyone has their own team) However.
Collectively we will boo the opposing team, emphasis on opposing aka opposite. But when you are on the same team, everyone “loves you”. Random people are buying you beer, cheering with you etc. If the opposing teams wins- the losing team and their fans are sore losers and mad. The same concept applies especially if you are standing out and showing up for yourself- Going against the grain. Celebrities embody Leo energy and most of them are hated because they have separated themselves from the collective. People love to hate celebs because they have and are what others wish to be and have. Now, let’s say the celeb donates money to random people- now all of a sudden, they are “loved”. Giving money to those who have less than you make them feel special even if it’s temporary. Someone who has Leo star energy giving attention to Aquarius energy, the collective, gives them temporary Leo energy, attention and feelings of being special. This exposes just how much others want to be and have Leo energy. The root cause of this hate and jealousy is from others wanting to be you- so while they do the opposite and try to hate you for being special, why don’t you give them more reasons to be mad? And just be you, I mean it’s natural. It’s easy to just be you! Eventually, they’ll try to team up with you because their hate can’t bring you down.
Moon square Uranus rx
Leo (2) 3rd house / Aries (29) 11th house
This will resonate mainly with those who have struggled with showing up for yourself. Uranus rx in Aries will personally challenge you to fight back and assert yourself. if you accomplish this, the challenge will be redirected towards those who have been your haters. those who secretly wish to sabotage, hurt and steal from you. This placement feels like “ return to sender” vibes. Others ( 11th house energy) thought they have successfully defeated, dominated and silenced you- mainly psychologically, and mentally. Uranus rx in Aries will internally challenge you to rise to the occasion and with the 29th degree influence, this is a critical move for you to make. [ this influence is extremely powerful for those with aries placements but not limited to] In making this critical move to quite literally be you, which should be easy, this will cause a profound shock in the hearts and minds of your haters. You are basically making the executive decision to prove yourself wrong by accepting this internal challenge and in turn, (“ as within, so without”) this will challenge others especially those who projected their negativity unto you. If you are not appearing how others wanted to see you, going back to Venus, Chiron, north node and Neptune in Pisces, then this crashes and burns their illusions and this is where the “ return to sender” kicks in.
Most people were hoping, praying and wishing ( 11th house energy) on your downfall. They were confident that they would break you and have control over you. So, when you show up and do your thing, whatever that is, and it doesn’t reflect failure, depression and hopelessness- this infuriates and frustrates your haters- hence the square. When you no longer harbor projected feelings, pain and thoughts that aren’t yours- then someone else has to. Side Note, I was shocked to see that Saturn is not aspecting The Moon when they are in opposite signs and I believe this is due to Neptune, Chiron, Venus and North Node being in Pisces. To me, this intuitively suggests that people do not want you to know that they’ve been projecting and wishing on your downfall. Unfortunately, for them the full Moon in Leo is helping you feel and pick up on what isn’t being said and thought of about you, by others (11th house energy). This is not popularly known but the 3rd house also deals with magick/ spells/ intentions/ affirmations. When you are telling yourself over and over that you will buy that dream house- that’s magic. When you tell yourself over and over, I don’t like that person – that’s magick. Wishing ill on someone, sometimes works. Wishing for success, sometimes works and so forth. As forementioned with Mars rx in Gemini, people say one thing and do another. I work in customer service and people think I love my job and want to help them but the whole time in my mind I am wishing they would stfu and leave me alone. I am doing one thing but thinking something completely different and the same goes for those who claim to support, love and value you.
Their actions don’t match their words and or their words don’t match their actions. Combat all the illusions and sweet lies people are spewing at this time, in fact just ignore it all. It would be in your best interest not to trust anyone or involve them in your Leo endeavors courtesy of Uranus being in Aries, the independent and self-sufficient sign. People are disappearing each day you show up and show confidence. You may notice they crowded around though when you were crashing and burning. in conclusion, you are being challenged to be self-centered and selfish and with the vertex in Scorpio, be secretive about your 5th house matters aka. your creative and, or sexual business. This in turn will challenge and frustrate others because they do not know what to attack. They don’t see you coming until it’s too late. It’s like people walking around blind or outdated glasses prescriptions and out of nowhere you appear all bright and, in your glory, it will disturb their eyes similar to being in the dark for so long and then the lights come on. It hurts and your eyes are struggling to readjust to the brightness. Frustrate people by making them readjust their illusions and what they wanted to see concerning you instead of it being the other way around. This is the Critical move.
Sun opposite moon
Aquarius (0) 9th house / Leo (2) 3rd house
The sun and Uranus, Ruler of Aquarius, are natural enemies therefore, the sun does not like being in the sign of Aquarius. Also, Aquarius 0 degrees is still influenced by the previous sign Capricorn suggesting that the collective and society not only dislike themselves but also who they have become. As a result, they do not like you especially since you are feeling ( Leo energy) more bold, prideful and confident in your communication but more so in your mind. “ Who do they think they are?” will the on the minds of others concerning you. It was all good when you were timid, uncertain and insecure in your self-expression because this made others feel bigger ( Leo energy) But now, you’ve turned the tables, it’s a major problem like all oppositions create. Another contrasting difference is, this time around you can feel the hate coming from others and you don’t care whereas before, you did, and it showed. This placement makes me cackle because Leo energy is pleasant and charming and in the 3rd house that’s how you will come off temporarily disarming your haters. They will mistake your kindness for weakness and that is when they’re in for a rude awakening ( Aquarius vibes) For example, I mentioned earlier that this full moon in leo feels personal to me ( Cancerian / moon energy) because I have Chiron and my Midheaven in Leo 10th house opposite Saturn rx in Aquarius. I’’ve been practicing this energy and observing others reactions. I sound pleasant and professional on the phone and people think, “ okay, I’m going to bully her to get what I want”.
However, out of nowhere, they do not get what they want, and I do not bend over backwards for them, like they expected. I am refusing to give them what they want while sounding ( 3rd house energy) nice and confident but unwavering. This enrages them and they start projecting upon me by calling me mean. But Wait, when I was being nice and you took that for weakness, it was fine, I was nice. But the moment I say no, I’m being mean? No. in reality, they are the mean hearted ones by trying to bully or emotionally manipulate me. Anyway, the Sun in Aquarius 9th house suggests stereotypes. So again, others oppose you because in their distorted mind they have distorted belief systems ( 9th house energy ) that are clearly ( sun energy) failing them. Funny enough. They refuse to change or acknowledge their distortions even when proven wrong and this Is where that Capricorn influence comes into play with the sun being at 0 degrees in Aquarius. Capricorn energy refuses to change even when systems are failing. I find this even funnier because Pluto in is in Capricorn 8th house. Saturn structures, dynamics, foundations and beliefs are being destroyed ( and you have no control over that and yet people want to take their anger out on you for it) Reason being, the collective loves, supports and operates in Capricorn energy and that’s being exposed as a corrupt system., just look around. People genuinely hate change, including anyone who represents that change
. People secrectly love oppression and being told what to do and being told who they are. People are scared to discover for themselves who they are-and on a personal note, this is why I believe in sidereal astrology. It’s an accurate system despite all the nakshatras but when I try to teach sidereal astrology, I am met with indifference because it’s different than the norm. The norm that is a lie of which is being exposed as such. I digress. I work in banking and when we change new policies, people will respond with “ but it’s always been like xyz” like, okay? and now it’s like this- get over it. But They can’t get over it and now they want to get disrespectful towards me because I am representing a change. In other words, people love living in the past but refuse to learn from it, so the past isn’t repeated- But clearly, they like things that repeat, suggesting a lack of evolution. I do not believe history repeats itself- I think people do. Another point, Aquarius 9th house indicates indifference towards learning higher ideals, higher consciousness and or a new world order. We are preparing for the Age of Aquarius, and it’ll become clear to you that others are not on board with this new world order of Aquarius. There’s a lack of respect or value towards it and with this opposition, others will hate you for being a representative of change ie. Moon in Leo 3rd house. Some of you listening or reading this will probably be confused because what you thought about leo and Aquarius energy is the complete opposite, the opposite of what you’ve been taught (9th house energy)
Resulting in you rejecting my words (3rd house energy) in lieu of sticking to lies created by a corrupt and systematic government. Oh well, the sun is conjunct Saturn in Aquarius. The sun hates Aquarius energy and Saturn dislikes Leo energy. Saturn also used to rule Aquarius but being that Aquarius is an independent sign, it broke free. That freedom is what is hated by most people especially if you express yourself in a free and careless manner which the Moon in Leo 3rd house will influence you to do. Mars will be going Direct on the 24th and will eventually go back into the sign of Cancer where passive aggressive behavior, emotional temper tantrums and emotional guilt or blackmail will ensue all in attempt to make you back down and make yourself small and insecure again. Be prepared and do not back down. People will try their hardest to manipulate you emotionally, but it won’t work, you don’t care! Your emotional state will be feeling like Leo energy and Leo energy is always concerned with itself, No one else matters unless they are applauding the Leo and the same can be said to explain this energy. They better “ talk to you nice or don’t talk to you twice”.  You will not be tolerating disrespect or emotional manipulation, and this will enrage others, making them want to attack you because they did not get their way. Oh Well, they don’t matter and never did!
Happy Full Moon.

*whispers* Viktor never once says anything mean or belittling to Jayce after they become partners. Not one insulting "you" statement, not one disagreement where he doesn't remained focused on the point of contention. He never makes ad hominem attacks, he never insults Jayce's appearance or intelligence.
Literally the single meanest thing he says to Jayce that could be considered a "you" statement is "Your mind has become rigid." Basically, he's saying that Jayce has suffered so much recently that it's closed his mind to broader intellectual possibilities like, that is barely an insult, and clearly Viktor just means it as a statement of fact, if not a challenge for Jayce to joyously consider possibilities again. And by the way? That statement is when Viktor is in his full his villain arc. It's remarkable because it's the only time he's pointed out a perceived flaw in Jayce since the night when he questioned if Jayce signed his notes out of being egotistical.
From the moment Jayce told Viktor about how beautiful magic could be, arguably once Jayce became a person to Viktor rather than a subject of academic discipline or skepticism, Viktor has not once leveled a personal attack against him as a person. Not even during the fight on the bridge. Not even when he called Jayce's Councilor work a waste of our time. Not even when Jayce was considering making Hextech weapons, Viktor still remained focused on the substance of the argument, expressed incredulity, anger, even disgust that Jayce would consider making weapons, but he never said it was because Jayce was stupid or privileged or blind. He pointed out specifically that he knew Jayce felt trapped by the decision, he knew Jayce was being manipulated, and then, in a very pointed manner, Viktor reminded Jayce that there's always a choice, challenging Jayce to stand firm and do what was right.
Even when they parted ways in 2.02, Viktor didn't say there was anything wrong with Jayce. He just said their paths had diverged, again not saying anything was wrong with Jayce, or even his choices, but rather that they're two different people who had stayed together longer than their diverging goals normally would have allowed because of the affection they held for each other.
I don't know, I get why people write Viktor as catty or mean or dismissive of Jayce. There's definitely some quotes from the day they met, before they become partners, that lend to the idea that Viktor can be quite dry and sharp with others. And conflict is the stuff of good fiction so again, totally get putting some conflict between him and Jayce in fic.
But I also think there's a tendency in derivative works like fic to Flanderize the characters, or worse, put them into narrow archetype boxes that are vastly different from their more interesting and nuanced canon selves.
How many times have we seen a wiggly man/straight man or blue vs. red personality partnership duo? How often have we seen those partners not be able to fucking stand each other, who are bickering all the time, who are snide or backtalk, or are perpetually sarcastic?
It's so common that I get why people see it with Jayce and Viktor but that's why it's so damn fascinating to me that they aren't like that.
Jayce and Viktor don't suffer each other unwillingly at any point, even when they're having a goddamn flying superhero fight in the final episode they're talking about how they're happy to see each other and praying that the other will please step away from this destructive path! They don't want to hurt each other, even verbally!
During the years of their partnership, they're constantly delighted by the other's presence, they are instantly comfortable together and never have a bad word to say to or about each other. They actually don't bicker! When they have disagreements, they stay entirely focused on the point of the disagreement and they never dip into personal attacks of any kind.
Even the tone of the time Jayce yells at him on the bridge, arguably their most acrimonious moment in the whole first season, isn't an actual argument, no more than a parent yelling at their child for running into traffic is an argument. Jayce says awful things but it's clear his anger comes from fear for Viktor and for their precarious situation. And it's clear this is a deeply unusual moment for both of them, Viktor is taken aback at how unusual it is, Jayce once called out backs down immediately, arguably because it's so unnatural for them to fight at all that it takes the wind out of the sails of Jayce's anger instantly when he realizes he's crossed a line.
No one can drag a bad word about Viktor out of Jayce, and vice versa! When Singed implies that Viktor might lose loved ones over his choices, Viktor immediately (and correctly!) states that Jayce will understand.
They are rigorously protective of one another too. Arguably all the times Viktor excludes Jayce from his Hexcore experiments in S1 is to protect him from his reckless and likely illegal experiments (as well as not wanting Jayce to stop him and wanting to live, but it can be many things). Jayce constantly cites Viktor as his partner and constantly reiterates that Viktor is his priority in life, that saving Viktor comes first. Jayce overthrows the goddamn founder of the city in order to protect Viktor!
Jayce's love for Viktor is so extreme that literally in S2, the only person who can convince Jayce to hurt Viktor, after seeing the post-apocalyptic Hell of a future that is caused by him, is Viktor himself. Jayce doesn't even get mad at Viktor after he learns Viktor is the cause of what he saw! He is instead desperate to get back, to avert the damage caused by their joint work in Hextech, and saved Viktor from the fate worse than death that is Mage Viktor's total isolation in the aftermath. And every step of the way, even knowing what he knows it's clear he's in agony at the thought of having to raise a hand to Viktor at all.
Now of course I'm getting into just how insane their love for one another gets in S2, but I just feel so baffled sometimes reading fic where Viktor is constantly undercutting, insulting, or belittling Jayce every which way. He never once does that after the partnership begins. And it makes me so insane because we have so many partnerships in media that do devolve into sarcasm, cattiness, and backbiting but Jayce and Viktor aren't one of them and that's really really fucking interesting and worthy of exploration I think.

Heir
Anthony Bridgerton x reader
summary: telling Anthony she's with child after facing difficulties getting pregnant
Tumblr media
It's been three years since the wedding between Anthony Bridgerton and Y/n. The love between the two was one of the strongest anyone could have ever seen, it was obvious that they were made for each other.
They met in a very unusual way. While Anthony was courting Edwina Sharma, Y/n was seen very close to Benedict, the two of them discreetly courting each other. However, they both quickly realized that the connection between them was better as a friendship than a romantic relationship, where things seemed quite forced and uncomfortable. At the same time, Viscount Bridgerton had also broken up with Edwina after she had doubts on their wedding day.
Y/n remembered that day perfectly. She was sitting next to Benedict and the Bridgerton family on the chairs waiting for Edwina to appear and the wedding to begin. She waved a fan, trying to alleviate the horrible heat in that room. The delay seemed to make everyone nervous, especially Anthony who had drops of sweat falling from his forehead and was speaking hurriedly to his mother.
Finally, the doors opened, but, to everyone's surprise, it wasn't Edwina walking down the aisle, it was Kate Sharma, her sister. She didn't look happy, walking with an air of confidence and a serious expression, her eyes never leaving Anthony. The two exchanged quick words, until Anthony dropped his head and closed his eyes in frustration, but he still nodded and Kate left.
After a few tense seconds, Anthony finally had the courage to look at the people watching the scene and said that the wedding had been cancelled, before leaving the room too, leaving the murmur that formed.
"What a scandal." a lady gossiped with another, the two starting a conversation about what could have happened, some theories being completely ridiculous and that could ruin the family's reputation.
Y/n couldn't help herself and turned to them with a polite but sarcastic smile. "My apologies for interrupting, but the only scandal here is the fact that your son, who decided to be a priest, got so many prostitutes pregnant that only they could fill an entire line of these."
The woman gasped in horror while Benedict, who was listening to the conversation, had difficulty containing his laughter. "You foolish girl, how dare—"
"Excuse me, but I have better things to do than sit here and imagine what could have happened." Y/n got up from her chair, looking at the women one last time before going to try and find Anthony.
Despite being acquaintances, since Y/n was so close to Benedict, the two had never spoken much. However, the woman was still worried about Viscount. When she found him, sitting on the porch floor with his head in his hands, Y/n kept him company, also sitting in silence. From then on, a relationship was formed between the two that quickly became inseparable.
"My love, daydreaming again?" Anthony hummed, breaking Y/n out of his thoughts. The man wrapped his shoulders around her waist and pulled her closer, gently kissing her head. "What are you thinking about?"
"How lucky I am."
"Well, I'm the lucky one. I have a beautiful wife who I love very much. I couldn't live without you." he confessed, causing a blush to appear on her cheeks as it always did when he pronounced his love for her. "I have to go finish some paperwork, but then I'll come see you so we can go visit Daphne's son."
Y/n nodded, giving him a quick kiss and sighing as she watched him go to his office. Daphne had just had her second child, a beautiful baby boy. The couple was going to visit the family so that Y/n could help with whatever her sister-in-law needed while Anthony and Simon were going to entertain the baby's brother, a toodler who demanded a lot of attention.
Even though Y/n loved their children with all her heart, it only reminded her of what she couldn't give Anthony. The couple had been trying to get pregnant since they got married, but without success. Anthony's wife had already cried on his shoulder many times because she couldn't carry the child, her heart breaking every time she started her period.
Even though the Bridgerton man assured her several times that all he needed to be happy was her, Y/n still wanted to give him a heir. She wanted the house to be full of their children's laughter and for them to be able to create a mini version of them, a product of their love.
However, he tried not to occupy his days thinking solely about that. It was enough of all the doctors she had seen who told her that it was her fault, that her womb was not capable of developing a baby. Of course, Anthony, as soon as he heard those accusations and the look of complete heartbreak from his wife, demanded that they leave his house.
Y/n she couldn't take the blame anymore, going into a state of shock and for three days she refused to get out of bed. However, her husband would not accept that. He just wanted her to be happy, even if they never had children.
"We don't need children to be happy, I only need you. We have so many nieces and nephews who can take on my role, and we can take care of them from time to time, I'm sure my siblings wouldn't mind." Y/n remembered Anthony telling her this firmly, his hands grabbing her cheeks as they both had tears in their eyes.
And since then, they've never brought it up again.
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
"Lady Bridgerton, are you feeling alright?" one of the maids asked worriedly when she saw Y/n enter the dining room for breakfast, immediately turning paler when she smelled the eggs. "Should I fetch for Viscount Bridgerton?"
She had time to shake her head before running to the nearest bathroom, dropping herself onto the cold floor and emptying the contents of her stomach. She could feel tears forming in her eyes, gagging at the sour taste that remained in her mouth. With unsteady legs, she got up and went to wash her mouth, the maids who entered the bathroom right after her helped her to hold herself upright.
However, she quickly realized that she wasn't finished yet when a new wave of nausea consumed her and she knelt again in front of the toilet. She felt strong hands, which she recognized as Anthony's, caress her face before grabbing her hair.
"Oh, Anthony…" she moaned in discomfort. "I don't want you to see me like this."
"Hey, none of that. Come here, love." he comforted, helping turn her around and supporting her against the wall when she was finished. He took a towel and started wiping her mouth.
When Y/n had the strength to open her eyes, she saw her husband's face analyzing her closely, looking for anything that could be wrong. The concern that swam in his eyes made her raise a hand and rest it on his cheek, and he turned slightly to be able to give her a lingering kiss on her palm.
"How are you feeling? I'm going to call the doctor. Are you okay with staying with one of the maids until I get back?"
Y/n held his arm, preventing him from getting up. "No, please don't go. I'm alright now. If this continues, I promise you can call the doctor, this is probably an one time thing. Let's not worry about it."
Anthony sighed, locked in a staring contest with the most important woman in his life. Accepting defeat, but with a serious look that screamed that if that happened again she would see a doctor, the Viscount picked up Y/n, carrying her to their bed.
Laying her down gently and helping Y/n take off her dress, the man pulled the covers up, making sure she was comfortable. Afterwards, he took off his shirt and pants, lying down next to her.
"What are you doing? We can't be in bed already, especially you. It's only morning, we still have many obligations to fulfill."
"No. My wife is not feeling well, and I'm going to take care of her. The paperwork can wait, as well as all my meetings. I just want you to be healthy." Anthony brought her closer to him, Y/n resting her head on his chest so she could hear his heartbeat. "Now, sleep. You need it."
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
It happened again. More specifically, two more times Y/n threw up her meals. The first time, she was alone and not wanting to worry anyone, she preferred to remain silent. After all, she could still be recovering from some kind of illness. The second time, it was in the presence of her most trusted maid, who she considered a friend, Joanne. And so she begged her not to tell the Bridgerton man about it, claiming she would see someone.
Alone, because in addition to feeling sick, she also realized that her period, which was always regular, should have already arrived. Her first thought was that she was pregnant. But upon thinking better, she questioned this possibility. After so many years of trying and failing, why would she be pregnant now? There must be another explanation.
However, she did not share these possibilities with Anthony because the last thing she wanted was to give him hope only to end up disappointed with her inability to give him a heir. Fortunately, Joanne accompanied her, helping Y/n explain to the doctor why the Viscount wasn't there with her.
And when she left that office, she could feel her legs losing strength. She placed a hand on her chest, starting to find it difficult to breathe in completely, still shocked by what the doctor had said to her.
Pregnant.
She was carrying Anthony's child in her womb, something they thought to be impossible. She was going to be a mother. Even though Anthony always assured her that he was completely happy with just her, Y/n knew that he would love being a father. At the beginning of their marriage, he had revealed to her that he dreamed of their family, their chhildren running through the garden while he chased after them and Y/n watched while sitting under the shade, her hand on her swollen belly.
And, by a miracle, this dream could become reality.
"Lady Bridgerton, are you ready to return to the mansion?" Joanne questioned after Y/n sat down in the carriage, her hands shaking together in her lap. Her gaze was understanding, in case she needed a few more moments alone to process this, but her lips held a small smile.
"I'm going to be a mother." she whispered.
"A wonderful, beautiful mother, I'm sure. Congratulations, Lady Bridgerton." she smiled, feeling enormous happiness for Y/n. She knew how much the couple had suffered. "Shall we return?"
Y/n nodded, no longer trusting her voice to speak. The woman took advantage of the short trip to process everything that was happening and before she knew it she was already in front of Anthony's office door.
With barely controlled excitement, she knocked on the door, waiting for permission to enter. When she heard Anthony's voice, she timidly opened the door, seeing that her husband was gathered with his brothers.
"Oh, my apologies. I didn't know your brothers were here. I can come back later."
"Nonsense, love. They can just leave." Anthony said, leaning back in his chair and opening his arms, an invitation for Y/n to come to him. The man, after already having Y/n in his arms, looked at Benedict and Collin, who were looking at him with a smirk. "Did you not hear? I told you to leave."
"Anthony, be nice!"
"It's not a problem, Y/n, we know when we are not wanted. Come on, Benedict, let's leave the lovebirds alone." Collin teased, getting up with his brother and leaving the room, but first, he took Y/n's hand and brought it to his lips. Benedict, for instance, kissed her cheek in a brotherly way. Despite their farewell with Y/n, Anthony was completely ignored by his brothers.
"Did you need something?" the man asked, putting all of his attention on Y/n, who began to fidget with her fingers nervously.
"Actually, I have to tell you something. I went to the doctor today…"
"What? Y/n, why didn't you tell me? Did you feel bad again? Nauseous? What did the doctor say? Are you okay?"
"Calm down, my love. I'm better than fine. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about being sick again, but I didn't want to worry you." she admitted, feeling guilty that Anthony was feeling precisely what she didn't want. "Well, I received some very interesting news."
"Please, just tell me what's wrong. I can't bear not knowing if something is wrong with you." he muttered with a pained look, as if he felt physical pain when thinking about the possibility of Y/n being hurt or unwell.
"Anthony…" she said his name with so much love that he shuddered. "I'm pregnant."
A silence formed in the room. Anthony took so long to react, just looking at her intensely as if he didn't know what was true or not, that Y/n began to feel worry invade her system. Was he not happy? Did he not want a child with her anymore?
"W-What?" Anthony finally managed to whisper, his heart having stopped as soon as he heard those words. "You're pregnant? With my child?"
"Well, obviously." Y/n rolled her eyes. "Are you happy?"
"Happy? My love, I'm more than happy. I love you so much. And I love our child too." the man kissed her fiercely, needing to convey all his love and adoration for her in that kiss.
He was addicted to his wife's lips, and now that he knew she was carrying his child, something animalistic was released inside him. Without giving any warning, he grabbed Y/n and twirled her around, without ever taking his lips off hers. Even so, Y/n giggled against them, circling her hands around his neck and holding on tight.
When her feet touched the floor, the Viscount knelt in front of her, his hands resting hesitantly on her stomach. He looked at Y/n in permission, who just nodded in encouragement and placed her hand on his brown hair, stroking his scalp.
Very gently, Anthony kissed his wife's still flat stomach. "Hello, you. I'm your father and I love you and your mother very much. You two are my entire life."
And the two stayed like that for the rest of the day, moving to the bedroom where Anthony continued to talk to Y/n's belly while exchanging passionate kisses with her. A beautiful new stage had begun in their lives, and they couldn't wait to meet their heir.

charles leclerc simping over his girlfriend: a compilation
Tumblr media
MASTERLIST | MY PATREON | charles smau | charles headcanon
PART TWO
No matter where Charles went or what he did, one thing was constant - he simply could not stop talking about his girlfriend.
He was utterly smitten, and it showed through his words and massive smile every time her name came up. Fans quickly noticed Charles' habit of gushing over YN in interviews, on social media, with reporters, and even during casual interactions.
It became such a phenomenon that Formula 1 super-fans began compiling clips of Charles being a total simp for his girl into viral videos.
The most popular one was called "Charles Leclerc simping over his girlfriend: a compilation, and the 15-minute long video compiled some of the most hilarious, heartwarming, and over-the-top examples of the F1 star's borderline obsession with his girlfriend.
It opened with a clip from Charles' interview on Sky Sports before the Monaco Grand Prix. The reporter asked how special it was racing at his home circuit.
"It's amazing driving here where I grew up," Charles said with a huge smile. "But honestly, the best part is having my girlfriend YN here supporting me, this is already such a special race but having her here just adds another layer to it."
"Could you say that you have a good luck charm with you today?" the reporter asked again.
"Definitely, she's always my good luck charm."
The next clip was from Charles and Carlos' music challenge for Ferrari's YouTube channel, they had to guess the song that was playing with just a three second snippet.
"As it was, Harry Styles!" Charles said and rang the small bell that was placed in the middle of them as soon as he heard the first second of the intro.
"You've been practicing," Carlos stated as he pointed at him raising an eyebrow.
"I love this song," Charles said to the camera, "My girlfriend is obsessed with it, she plays it every day."
"And you talk about her every day," Carlos teased, elbowing him.
"I do, I do."
The video moved to show Charles with some fans, he was getting his luggage after a flight and they approached him asking for a picture, one of them filming the whole interaction.
"Of course, no problem at all," Charles replied warmly with a small smile on his face.
As he posed for a picture with the group, Charles noticed that one of the fans was wearing a Taylor Swift shirt. His eyes lit up with recognition and a smile spread across his face.
"I see you're a Taylor Swift fan," Charles remarked, pointing to the shirt. "My girlfriend loves Taylor too. She's always playing her songs around the house and talking about her."
"Wow, that's so cool!" the fan's eyes widened in surprise, "What's her favorite song?" they asked.
"I think her favorite is 'Love Story," Charles chuckled, "She says it reminds her of us."
"That's such a classic! Your girlfriend has great taste," the fan said.
"Thank you, I'll let her know you said that."
The next clip was from Charles' interview promoting his new ice cream brand called LEC, a reporter had asked him how did he come up with the creative names for each flavor.
"It was a teamwork between me and my girlfriend, actually," he replied with a smile, "She played a huge part on this project, everyone knows I could't had come up with Vanillove and Pistachi-on on my own."
The video then cut to a clip from the F1 Grill the Grid challenge, where drivers were playing 'Never Have I Ever", when asked "Have you ever missed a flight?", Charles immediately knew his answer."
"I have, more than once," he said, quickly adding, "But it wasn't my fault, my girlfriend has this long morning routine that she refuses to skip, even though she looks beautiful no matter what."
The video also included footage of Charles during a press conference before the Australia Grand Prix, a reporter asked him about his pre-race rituals.
"Well, I have a few things I like to do before getting into the car," Charles began. "But one thing that's become a bit of a tradition is a phone call with my girlfriend. No matter where we are in the world, we always find time to talk before the race if she's not there."
"What do you two usually talk about?"
"Oh, just the usual stuff," Charles replied with a grin. "She gives me some last-minute words of encouragement, tells me to be safe, that sort of thing. It's nice to hear her voice before such a big moment."
A clip form Charles' 'One week in Los Angeles' was also included, he was playing around at the basketball course shirtless.
"No way!" he said after he missed the basket again, "This is making me look really bad, I need to impress my girl."
The camera panned to her for a moment, and Charles sent a wink her way.
"Are you impressed, love? he asked, throwing the ball and missing once again.
"Very, but not by your basketball skills."
The compilation went on and on, clip after clip of Charles finding any opportunity to mention his girlfriend and proclaim his love for her. From the most casual conversations to the highest-pressure interviews, he just could not help himself from gushing.
As the video ended, the caption displayed: "Get yourself a man who loves you like Charles loves YN."

INTERVIEW WITH Y/N L/N | VOGUE
Tumblr media
In conversation with Y/n L/n about being a mother and a racing driver, and her what’s in store for her.
Known for her fierce driving and even fiercer spirit, has seamlessly transitioned into a life that’s as complex as it is rewarding. A name that echoes through the halls of motorsport history, her story is one of reinvention—a journey from high-speed thrills to quiet, profound moments of motherhood, and, possibly, a return to the racing world in an entirely new role.
The 2000s were Y/n’s golden years at Williams. Her raw talent shone even when the team’s fortunes dipped, and she quickly became a fan favorite. Known for her courage, sharp wit, and stunning moves on the track, she formed friendships with some of the sport's brightest stars—Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, and Jenson Button. Their bond, a cocktail of camaraderie and unspoken attraction, became as legendary as her driving.
But the glamorous world of F1, with its dazzling lights and high expectations, took a toll. In 2004, Williams made the decision to drop her from their roster—a move that would alter the course of her life forever. Y/n, at the time, found solace in the chaos. Late nights, parties, and the company of friends became her refuge.
"I wasn’t ready to let go of F1, but at that point, I wasn’t sure where I was headed." Y/n said as we chat in her London home. It’s a beautiful house with stained glass windows and the perfect amount of sunlight shining in. Her daughter is also present though she much prefers to continue with her reading as she cuddles up to her mother.
But in the unpredictable world of racing, the story of Y/n was far from over. A fresh start beckoned when McLaren offered her a seat, a move that many saw as her redemption arc. She embraced the opportunity, her focus sharper than ever. The partying ceased. The cigarettes were put out. It wasn’t just a return to the sport—it was a return to herself.
Her career, marked by precision and passion, came to an official close in 2014, but Y/n’s influence has never waned. Retirement, though, didn’t equate to slowing down. Today, Y/n is a mother—something that’s become a cornerstone of her identity.
“I’ve always been independent, but being a mom has redefined what it means to be strong," she says, her eyes softening. "It’s a different kind of challenge, but one I’m grateful for every single day.”
Her daughter, now nine, was born a year after her retirement. She had announced the birth on her social media with a simple caption: “welcome to the world, my beautiful girl”
“As a mom, I’ve learned the art of balancing," Y/n reflects. "There are days when I’m just a mom—no racing, no interviews, no drama. And then there are days when I’m reminded of who I was before all of this. It's about finding peace with both versions of myself.”
At this point, her daughter stops reading her book and places several kisses on her mother’s cheek. It was a beautiful moment between mom and daughter.
“The future is full of possibilities. I’m focused on what’s next, but I'm not in any rush. We’ll see what happens. Right now, I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
Motherhood may have softened some edges, but it has only sharpened her focus. If there’s one thing Y/n has taught us, it’s that the greatest drivers are those who can keep pushing, even when they’re driving toward the unknown.
INTERVIEW WITH Y/N | THE PADDOCK SESSIONS PODCAST
“Welcome everyone to the paddock sessions podcast. I’m your host Dan and todays guest is a very special one. She is my favorite driver and I’m going to try not to freak out right now. Y/n L/n welcome to the paddock sessions!” Dan the host said into his microphone.
Y/n smiled and thanked Dan for the introduction. “Favorite driver? Dan, I’m flattered. I’ll pay you later.” She joked.
“You’re actually the reason my girlfriend watches formula 1. She watched your past races and was devastated when I told her you retired in 2014. I think she was thinking of breaking up with me because I told her,” Dan admitted. Y/n chuckled at his words. “But can we see a potential comeback for you? I know I’m not the only one that would love to see that!”
“Well I can’t really stay away from formula 1. I try to watch the races with my daughter, but she’s not interested in racing at all so I always end up watching them alone.” Y/n explained as she adjusted the microphone.
“Daughter of a racing driver isn’t interested in racing? That’s wild. But at least she knows that her mom is a legend in the sport, yeah?” Dan asked.
“She’s reminded every time we go out and I’m stopped because someone wants an autograph or a picture,” Y/n laughs. “But she knows the basics, she knows what all the number means, she’s a smart girl.”
“Amazing. Um, on the topic of your daughter, and you can stop me if you want, you’ve always been an open book in many ways, yet when it comes to your daughter’s father, you’ve kept things private. How hard has it been to keep things like that private? I imagine it must be frustrating.”
Y/n nodded and cleared her throat. “I’ve always believed in protecting my daughter’s privacy, and for me, that extends to the people closest to us. I’ll say this: my daughter is incredibly lucky to have the most amazing father. He’s the kind of dad who would do anything to keep her safe and happy. I know she’s growing up in a secure and loving environment because of him. He’s protective, but in the best way possible.”
“Have you seen the tweets regarding it?” Dan asked curiously.
“Oh yeah, it’s all over my feed. I’ve actually read some pretty crazy shit about the father of my daughter.” Y/n said.
“Any favorites?”
“There’s a thread that was posted recently on why Lewis is the father of my daughter. I love Lewis, but I can confirm he is not. He’s actually the godfather.”
“Well, you heard it hear first folks!”

Bump Cuddles : ̗̀➛ Max Verstappen
summary: watching you pregnant is a dream for max, especially with your bump there on offer for him to always snuggle up to
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
His eyes landed on you as soon as you walked into your bedroom, Max’s smile turned up as he watched you close the door behind you, knowing that was you for the night. You placed your phone down before perching on the edge of the bed, slowly rolling onto your back and stretching out.
As you reached up, the material of your pyjama shirt lifted up, revealing your babu bump. “Look at you,” Max chuckled, instinctively moving towards you and placing his hand on your exposed skin.
“This thing is lethal these days,” you chuckled, relaxing under the pressure of the warmth of Max’s hand. “I could do some serious damage if I wanted to with this thing.”
“Tell me about it,” Max chuckled, all too familiar with being on the receiving end of you barging him forgetting how much space you now needed to get around. “Just think, there’s only a few more weeks to go until you won’t have this anymore.”
“I can’t wait,” you laughed as Max turned his frame around so that his head was resting just beside your bump too. “The bump might look nice, but it’s the most impractical thing in the world.”
With your bump growing day by day, you were finding it harder and harder to manage. Max was struggling to sit back and watch you, knowing that there was very little that he could do to help you. He did as much as he could, more than enough as far as you were concerned, but he still felt as if he could do more.
“This is the stage that I’ve looked forward to the most,” Max admitted, brushing his hand over the surface of your bump, pushing your shirt up. “It’s so cuddly and the size of it too, no matter what you’re doing, or wearing, it just looks incredible.”
As your bump became more prominent, Max’s excitement grew. He was glued to your side whenever he was around you, his hands couldn’t get enough of feeling your bump and the little movements of your son who was wriggling around inside.
“Do you need anything?” Max asked you, realising that you were settling for the night. “Can I get you anything to make you more comfortable?”
Your head shook in reply to Max. You couldn’t remember the last time you felt properly comfortable, but you were settled at least for now. Max was used to you being pretty restless, happy to do whatever he needed to do to help you whenever you needed to shuffle.
“Let me know if you change your mind,” he added, reminding you once again that he was there for you, offering you a sympathetic smile as your eyes met his.
Your hand came down, brushing through Max’s hair as he made himself comfortable to lay down beside your bump for a little while. “I think he must know that you’re home as he’s been kicking around a lot more than usual today.”
“Has he?” Max excitedly asked, quickly moving his hand around wondering whether he could feel one for himself, having missed the feeling of your baby’s kicks during his weekend away racing in Qatar.
You could only chuckle at the excitement on Max’s face, searching and searching for that sweet spot. He made no secret of the fact that feeling your son’s kicks was his favourite part of your pregnancy, every single time excited him as if it was the very first time he’d felt it.
“What are you going to cuddle when the baby arrives?” You teased.
“I might actually have to cuddle you again, not your bump.”
When you first fell pregnant your bump baffled Max, he couldn’t believe how you had a little human growing inside. Now though, he couldn’t imagine the last few months without it, cuddling up to it had become a habit for Max without him even realising he was nearing it most of the time.
“Sometimes I feel as if I’ve forgotten what you look like without your bump,” he laughed, continuing to move his hand around in search of a sign.
You nodded in agreement with Max, having forgotten what your feet looked like having been unable to see them for quite a few weeks. “I think my body will be glad when what’s growing in the bump is on the outside, not the inside causing me any pain.”
“Are you in pain now?” Max nervously asked, immediately panicking. His doubtful eyes looked at you as your head shook, but trusted you all the same.
Max had always done a good job of taking care of you, but your pregnancy had introduced you to a whole new world with max. Protective was an understatement to describe how he treated you from the moment he found out you were pregnant.
“I’m scared you know,” Max suddenly whispered, “our son will be tiny, I’m scared when I cuddle him out of your bump I’ll squash him or something.”
You couldn't help but laugh as Max spoke, “you’ve had plenty of experience holding babies and you’ve managed not to squash any of them.”
“But they weren’t mine,” he added, “I’ll give them an extra cuddle knowing that he’s mine.”
Your hand continued to brush through his hair, “trust me, if you look like you’re going to crush our son then I’ll be sure to let you know.”
The way his mind worked fascinated you, especially as Max seemed to overthink everything. He wanted every little thing to be perfect and would stop at nothing to make sure that it was. Every possible scenario had been considered by Max, even those that seemed completely out of the ordinary.
“I think once the baby is here you’ll forget about me,” you joked, “you’ll only want to cuddle our son rather than cuddle up to me.”
Max’s eyes were wide as he tilted them up to look at you. “There’s no way that I’ll ever forget about you, with these broad shoulders I’ll be able to hold the two of you without any problems at all.”
“You know I’m only messing with you,” you replied, surprised by how serious Max was as he responded to you.
“I’ll cuddle you more than ever once the baby is here,” Max assured you, moving his hand from your bump to rest against the top of yours. “I’ll cuddle you forever in appreciation for all that you’re about to put your body through in order to make our family complete.”
As the two of you fell silent, you quickly grabbed Max’s hand placing it against your bump. Luckily for him, you got it there just in time as your son kicked out exactly where the palm of Max’s hand rested.
“There he is,” Max chuckled, snuggling in closer to your bump, savouring the feeling of your baby letting you know that he was there.
“That’s the hardest he’s kicked all day,” you breathed, taking a deep breath through the discomfort. “Obviously he’s very happy to have his daddy home too.”
Max’s eyes studied you closely, “only a couple more weeks and you’ll be able to rest in peace again sweetheart, without all these interruptions.”
“Are you forgetting the fact that we’ll have a screaming baby instead who will happily keep us up all night long Max?”
“Let’s just forget about that for now,” he sniggered.
Your head nodded in agreement, “I don’t know about you, but I’d quite like to make the most of these last few weeks with our bump.”
“Me too,” Max smirked, “I’ve not got long left to cuddle this bump of yours, and I’m determined to make the most of it.”

You Might Not Ever Guess
Captain Kangaroo passed away on January 23, 2004 as age 76 , which is odd, because he always looked to be 76. (DOB: 6/27/27 ) His death reminded me of the following story.
Some people have been a bit offended that the actor, Lee Marvin, is buried in a grave alongside 3 and 4 star generals at Arlington National Cemetery . His marker gives his name, rank (PVT) and service (USMC). Nothing else. Here's a guy who was only a famous movie star who served his time, why the heck does he rate burial with these guys? Well, following is the amazing answer:
I always liked Lee Marvin, but didn't know the extent of his Corps experiences.
In a time when many Hollywood stars served their country in the armed forces often in rear echelon posts where they were carefully protected, only to be trotted out to perform for the cameras in war bond promotions.
Lee Marvin was a genuine hero. He won the Navy Cross at Iwo Jima. There is only one higher Naval award... the Medal Of Honor
If that is a surprising comment on the true character of the man, he credits his sergeant with an even greater show of bravery.
Dialog from "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson": His guest was Lee Marvin Johnny said, "Lee, I'll bet a lot of people are unaware that you were a Marine in the initial landing at Iwo Jima ..and that during the course of that action you earned the Navy Cross and were severely wounded."
"Yeah, yeah... I got shot square in the bottom and they gave me the Cross for securing a hot spot about halfway up Suribachi. Bad thing about getting shot up on a mountain is guys getting' shot hauling you down. But Johnny, at Iwo I served under the bravest man I ever knew... We both got the cross the same day, but what he did for his Cross made mine look cheap in comparison. That dumb guy actually stood up on Red beach and directed his troops to move forward and get the hell off the beach. Bullets flying by, with mortar rounds landing everywhere and he stood there as the main target of gunfire so that he could get his men to safety. He did this on more than one occasion because his men's safety was more important than his own life.
That Sergeant and I have been lifelong friends. When they brought me off Suribachi we passed the Sergeant and he lit a smoke and passed it to me, lying on my belly on the litter and said, where'd they get you Lee?' Well Bob.. if you make it home before me, tell Mom to sell the outhouse!"
Johnny, I'm not lying, Sergeant Keeshan was the bravest man I ever knew.
The Sergeant's name is Bob Keeshan. You and the world know him as Captain Kangaroo."
On another note, there was this wimpy little man (who just passed away) on PBS, gentle and quiet. Mr. Rogers is another of those you would least suspect of being anything but what he now portrays to our youth.
But Mr. Rogers was a U.S. Navy Seal, combat-proven in Vietnam with over twenty-five confirmed kills to his name. He wore a long-sleeved sweater on TV, to cover the many tattoos on his forearm and biceps. He was a master in small arms and hand-to-hand combat, able to disarm or kill in a heartbeat.
After the war Mr. Rogers became an ordained Presbyterian minister and therefore a pacifist. Vowing to never harm another human and also dedicating the rest of his life to trying to help lead children on the right path in life. He hid away the tattoos and his past life and won our hearts with his quiet wit and charm.
America's real heroes don't flaunt what they did; they quietly go about their day-to-day lives, doing what they do best. They earned our respect and the freedoms that we all enjoy.
Look around and see if you can find one of those heroes in your midst.
Often, they are the ones you'd least suspect, but would most like to have on your side if anything ever happened.
Take the time to thank anyone that has fought for our freedom. With encouragement they could be the next Captain Kangaroo or Mr. Rogers.
Send this on will you please? Nothing will happen to you if you don't, but it will tell what a "real" HERO is made of.

Being with Obanai was an experience itself, every time you made it over one wall around his heart, you found yourself facing another one. It's not that you minded it, you would climb and tear down thousands of walls over and over again if it means having him in your life. The first time he dared to kiss you was the first time you stayed the night at his place, the room pitch black and any source of light long erased before he took his bandages off. He felt so stupid for behaving like this but he didn't want to risk losing you, he just couldn't. His cold hands were holding yours so you wouldn't cup his cheeks when his slightly chapped lips gently locked with yours. It felt as if a ghost was kissing you, a touch barely there. “Nai… I won't break,” you whispered against his lips when you pulled away ever so slightly. The shuddered breath against your lips broke your heart, his nerves clear on display because he knew you could be able to feel the scars if he moved in any closer.
Little did he know when morning came and the smallest specks of sunlight illuminated his face you could see what he was hiding behind the bandages that were now shifted and you found yourself staring. Uneasy at the feeling of being watched he woke up, the blood in his veins freezing when he felt the morning air hit his bare skin and saw your eyes on his face. His first thought was to cuss you out, to shut you out of his life but these thoughts evaporated when your soft thumb gently caressed the long scar on his right cheek, your face coming closer to his. “You don't need to hide from me… you're beautiful, Obanai Iguro,” you whispered and the next thing he knew were that your lips were back on his. How could you say such things? Didn't you see how disfigured his face was? But his racing mind had no choice against the love you showed him, tender lips locking with his, your hands cupping his cheeks and once you pulled away you looked at him as if he put the sun and all the stars in the sky just for you. His heart skipped a beat when he realized just how much you feel for him and that you accept him the way he is.
The relationship moved slow and steady and you never once pressured him into anything he's not fully comfortable with, always asking consent before holding his hand or kissing him and most importantly, you let him initiate new things so he wouldn't get uncomfortable. The first time his tongue danced across your lips took you by surprise, but you gladly let him enter, swirling your tongue around his as the kiss grew more intimate and his grip on you became more desperate. He wanted to be closer, bodies next to each other and touching wasn't enough. Every pore of his body was screaming for you, yearning for your love and gentle touch but he pulled away - not allowing himself to have you, not yet at least. Your body felt like it was on fire, yet you didn't stop him from retreating since you knew that giving his body to you entirely takes so much of him and he's simply not ready for it yet.
When he allowed you to touch him for the first time it was once again pitch black, the darkness giving him some security because you wouldn't be able to see him completely. Your hand slowly traveled down his lean body until you reached the hem of his pants, the bulge you grinded against while making out moments before so prominent beneath the fabric. Despite his well controlled breathing he struggled to do so this moment and you hesitated to reach into his pants - did you change your mind? Did you realize he's not good enough for you? His mind was racing once again and you leaned your head onto his shoulder
“Nai…Breathe,” you reminded him, feeling that he was holding his breath for a while now and only when he exhaled shakingly, you caressed his abs again.
“We don't have to-” you began but he bucked his hips towards your hand. “I need you to,” he whispered, fearing that any other volume would tear this moment apart and he hated to admit how his body was screaming for your touch.
You nodded silently and breathed in his scent before kissing his neck gently, your hand slowly disappearing into his pants and a little strangled “ngh” escaped his lips when he felt your hand stroke over his hard length for the first time. Unsure what he even imagined it to feel like, it exceeded his imagination, the feeling his own hand gave him couldn't be compared to yours. Smiling against his skin you smeared his pre cum over his tip before pumping his shaft with a little pressure at a slow pace. Obanai’s slender hands clutched onto the sheets at the feeling, jaw tensing up as he tried to hold any noises back but you could hear him pant hard - cock twitching after mere seconds of your touch and you retreated your hand.
“Nai… could you take them off?” You whispered into his ear, not wanting to stain his pants from making him release within their confides but he shook his head “it's enough,” he mumbled back, not wanting to get you dirty with his cum, you deserved better.
You wanted to protest, to give him the sweet release he craved and also earned but you respected his boundaries and simply cuddled up to him, the wetness between your legs not important. Patience was the key and when he's ready to bring you pleasure he would let you know, until then you would just touch yourself silently in the bathroom so he won't notice and feel bad about it - he knew though but he never brought it up, unsure how or if he could pleasure you properly.
Giving him handjobs became more and more frequent and sometimes he finished it himself, not allowing you to please him to completion just yet. One day you had a small idea and gave him a little smile instead of letting your hand wander down his body like so many times before
“Can you touch yourself for me? This time without anything on?” You asked curious, wanting to see his reaction and he surprisingly nodded, slowly undressing you but he couldn't hold your gaze when he opened his pants so you reached for his hands, gently kissing them.
“Wait. Let me just-” you hummed and turned to stand behind him, back to back as you took your top off as well, skin touching skin now and you could feel the goosebumps erupt on his skin from feeling you this close.
“We can stay like this and just touch ourselves, yes?” You suggested, always making sure he was okay and the next thing you felt was how he lifted his hips ever so slightly to take his pants off, now sitting bare behind you which made you follow suit.
Obanai was the first to initiate it, his slender hand wrapping around his pale cock and slowly stroking it up and down just like you always did for him. The previous make out session left you drenched, almost grinding yourself to completion on his bulge but you didn't want to tease yourself further, eager fingers dipping to your core to gather some slick before rubbing your fingers over your clit. The sweetest noises escaped your mouth when you could feel your lover leaning against you for support, the slick noises of your fingers curling inside your velvet walls almost driving him insane with lust until the knot in his abdomen snapped, releasing over his hand with a strangled moan, letting you follow suit as you came around your own fingers, your other hand rubbing your clit in fast circles as you moaned his name. Hearing his name moaned like this let the blood freeze within his veins, but it would be his new favorite noise of yours, letting him hear just how desperate you are for him as well.
“Can I turn around?” You asked softly, voice barely above a whisper as he gave you a noise of approval in return, feeling your arms wrap around his upper body only a second later and you slowly reached for his right hand, kissing his shoulder.
“You're so beautiful Obanai… so perfect,” you hummed into his ear as you brought the cum covered hand closer but he locked up, not letting it close to you.
“Let me taste you… I promise it won't harm me,” you reassured him and he gave in, not wanting to deny you anything but his head fell back against your shoulder when you took two of his fingers into your mouth, your tongue working over them as if it would be his cock. Once they were all clean you pulled away with a lewd pop, hiding your face in his neck right after when you saw the blush on his cheeks, knowing exactly what he was thinking. Maybe next time he would allow you to fulfill that fantasy of his.
These little moments went on until he was comfortable enough to face you while you gave him a handjob, eventually allowing you to wrap your soft lips around him and he swore that if a heaven existed, he made it there in these moments. His hips were bucking aimlessly as you bobbed your head up and down his length at a fast pace, one of his hands clutched over his mouth to keep the noises at bay while the other held onto the sheets for dear life. The twitching of his cock let you know that he was close and every time you could feel the anxiety rise up so you looked up into his eyes as you soothingly ran your hands over his thighs, nose nudged against his pubic bone and it did the trick for him. Seeing you so cockdrunk from giving him pleasure let the butterflies in his stomach go wild and he released down your throat as the softest groans escaped his lips. He didn't mean to buck his hips further in your face but it felt so good when you swallowed around him, he just couldn't get enough when his mind started to wonder how tight and warm your cunt would feel around him. A twitch of his cock made you pull away, your saliva slowly running down from his tip to the base.
“Do you want me to go on?” You asked slightly surprised since he wasn't so eager for more after he came, far too sensitive and growing reserved again which you respected. He nodded in response, trembling hands pulling you onto his lap by your hips, staying there to hold you tight and you got what he wanted, smiling down at him.
“You sure about that?” You asked just to confirm your suspicions and earned another nod, followed by a soft but firm “yes”
Gently you took one of his hands and guided it towards your mound and let go again. Obanai stared up at your eyes, looking a little lost and unsure how to proceed and if it would be any other time it would have made you giggle but you didn't want to ruin his newfound confidence in physical intimacy.
“You saw how I touched myself… Can you do it for me? It will make it more pleasurable to take you after,” you explained, parting your legs a little further to make it easier for him to reach your dripping wet cunt.
He gulped but nodded, the image of how you rubbed your clit before two of your beautiful fingers dipped into your core was burned into his mind and he recreated your movements as if it's second nature. The way he massaged your clit in circular motions made you gasp, grinding your hips against his hand to get more friction but he got the hint, giving you exactly what you needed. Obanai might be inexperienced but he observed your reactions to everything, taking mental notes on what made you moan louder as he slowly pushed two slender fingers into your heat, moaning in sync with you.
Your velvet walls were so tight around his fingers already, making him wonder how he would fit inside of you. A spongy spot within your core took his attention when the pads of his fingers pushed against it, letting your moans raise in pitch and taking him off guard out of fear he hurt you but the way you clenched around his fingers let him know otherwise.
“God you're so good at this… I'm so close,” you mumbled mindlessly between moans and it fueled Obanai's need to get you to come undone from just his fingers as he repeatedly curled his fingers against your sweet spot. The moment he brought his thumb down to play with your clit, it was over for you, your walls spasming around his skilled fingers and his name falling off your lips like a prayer. He almost came untouched by the angelic sounds you made, making him love his name as he watched your orgasm take over your body only to slide his fingers out of your tight cunt when you’d calmed down.
With a curious expression he brought his hand closer to his face, your slick almost dripping from his fingers as he pushed them past his own lips to taste you, just like you tasted his seed. His pupils blew wide and he groaned when your arousal melted against his tongue like silk, never having tasted anything so divine and he knew that he wanted more, growing hungry for your sweet release but you snapped him out of these thoughts, seemingly reading his mind.
“Another time, Nai… do you want to-?” You asked quietly, hoping he didn't change his mind because you needed to feel him inside of you. Once more he nodded, confirming that he wanted more as you positioned yourself above his achingly hard cock before holding his shaft to line him up. He took a deep breath when his tip touched your folds for the first time and despite wanting to hold back on his noises, a desperate “ngh” escaped his scarred mouth when you lowered yourself onto his dick. You placed his hands on your hips so he could take control, unsure how slow you needed to be but he pushed you down in just one thrust, fearing he would die if he couldn't be inside of you entirely. The harshness of this thrust knocked the air out of your lungs and you fell forward into his arms.
“Hmm just like that," you encouraged him when he began to thrust erratically, the slight curve of his cock letting him hit just the right spots inside of you and the strength his thrusts held pushed you to the edge once again.
Obanai had to flip you over, needing to rut into you as if it's the last thing he would do. Desperate for your moans, struck by the love you held for him, he came unexpectedly, the tight heat of your velvet walls far too much for his virgin cock to handle. His eyes were screwed shut as breathless moans fell from his mouth, making him look ethereal above you, the dim light illuminating him just right.
It didn't matter to you that he came early, not having expected for him to last long during his first time but it clearly bothered Obanai who brought his hand between your bodies that were glistening with sweat so he could rub your clit once more. “I need to feel you around me,” he mumbled into the crook of your neck, overstimulating himself by staying inside of your pussy but it was all worth it when the knot in your abdomen snapped a second time, your back arching so beautifully against him as your cunt fluttered around him, milking him of everything he had to give. Your orgasm was enough to trigger another one of his, only able to pant and whimper into your neck as he fell apart, eventually just resting his weight on top of you.
Gently your arms slithered around his slim frame, enjoying to have him this close for once before it got too much for him, having to excuse himself from your embrace, still needing to get used to being held for an extended period of time but you didn't mind, simply kissing his shoulder before getting up, his seed slowly running down your thighs in the process and the view sent a shiver down his spine at the thought of having released inside of you. He didn't mean to taint you with his cum but he knew that you would have wanted it that way so he gave it to you.
“Are you coming? I drew a bath,” you called out from the bathroom, hoping you could soak your sore body in the hot water with your lover together. He sure was inexperienced but his will to be enough for you sure made up for it.

not without him
Tumblr media
anthony bridgerton x reader
synopsis: you knew birth would be no easy feat, but you knew you wouldn’t be able to do it without him
Tumblr media
you clutched onto the white bedsheets, they were drenched with blood, and you were writhing on the bed as the doctor shouted orders at the nurses.
one had a cloth to your forehead, dabbing away your sweat and your tears. you couldn’t stop crying, it was an unbearable pain, that only got worse as the night went on.
violet had tried to prepare you, coming to her for advice on how to birth a bridgerton child. she had her most difficult birth with hyacinth, and just hearing her story sent chills down your spine.
anthony had been away in london when you went into labor. you knew he shouldn’t have left aubrey hall so close to the end of your pregnancy, but being the viscount meant there were things that required him present. you had hoped that your child would have some decency and arrive after the father, but the urge to push only became greater.
you feared that anthony wouldn’t make it, he was supposed to be here an hour ago, having rushed from london upon hearing the news.
the nurse looked down at you, “you have to push, my lady.” her voice quivered, as if she could feel your emotion. you teared up more, “no please- we have to wait for the viscount.” you felt weak, and you faintly heard the doctor shout that you were losing blood.
the nurse looked down again, and seemed firm, “you have to push, there is no time to spare if we wait for the viscount.” she dabbed your forehead again, “you and this baby will die if you don’t push now.”
you cried harder, “i need him here. i can’t do it without him.” you were scared, frightened by all these unfamiliar people. yes they were there to help you give birth to your first child, but you didn’t care, it wasn’t your husband dabbing your forehead or encouraging you.
your vision went fuzzy around the edges and your head fell back into the mounds of pillows that held you up. you could still hear the door push open, shouts being echoed into the room and finally, “let me through-“ his voice.
you heard a clatter of gear hit the wooden floor and you felt relief as he rushed to your side. anthony, still cold with the winter air, brushed the hair from your face, kissing your cheek. he saw how weak you looked, and could see the doctor’s expression.
“you can do it.” he whispered sweetly, “i’m here, you can do it.” he grabbed your hand, clutching it tightly and with his encouragement, you did the one thing you had been putting off.
the nurse over you seemed overjoyed that you were finally listening, there was fear among the doctor and staff that you would bleed out before anthony got there.
you grunted, weak from the blood loss. “push, my lady, push!” the nurse above you shouted, and you grunted loudly, doing as she said.
there was a brief moment of pause, relief that washed over you as you heard a newborn’s cry. you blinked away the sweat, feeling the damp cloth across your skin as you looked over at anthony, who hadn’t taken his eyes off of you. he was smiling brightly, but tears brimmed in his eyes, “you did it.” he whispered, “my lady….” he brushed the side of your face with a hand, and you closed your eyes, exhaustion washing over you.
you could see the light creeping through the curtains. it had been kept dark for you, candles burning just as you liked, even wearing your favorite nightgown. you could feel the pain, that ache that reminded you of what had happened.
you called out to your handmaid, watching as the door opened and instead, in stepped anthony holding the baby in his arms. your eyes softened, and you cooed, “my love.” you beckoned him to the bed, and anthony sat down carefully, the newborn in his arms was peacefully sleeping.
“good morning.” he kissed your forehead, “you have no idea how much i love you. i-“ he faltered, looking down at the baby to compose himself before he continued, “i almost lost you. please,” he looked at you, “please don’t ever scare me like that again. i beg you.” he whispered. he was happy at the birth of your son, but he wouldn’t have been if you had lost your life.
you looked at him, nodding. you didn’t want to say anything, instead looking down at the baby and resting your head on anthony’s shoulder, “have you thought of a name?” you noticed the baby’s fell head of hair and smirked, “looks like he got my hair.” you looked at the baby’s nose, “and your nose.” you laughed slightly, and anthony shrugged, “everyone says he looks like you more.”
his siblings must’ve arrived in from london. you smiled, but anthony knew what that smile was, “you must rest. the doctor said you lost a lot of blood, that you shouldn’t even think to lift a finger today.”
you sighed, “i won’t protest, i am feeling exhausted..” you didn’t know how to feel, your heart had never felt so much love all at once, “my boys.” you cooed, touching the baby’s hair as anthony kissed your forehead again.
