🌅MEDIUMSHIP🌅 A little bit of the fog of confusion lifted when I accepted that I am not an endpoint for the people and experiences flowing to me, but a channel through which they flow. The process of unlearning the identities of acquisition and possession has not been easy thus far. 🌅 This way of being is contrary to social conditioning and can therefore cause much pain and disappointment of our expectations in the early stages. We believe what comes to us is for us. This is very rarely the case. People and experiences come to us to help us grow, and for us to help them in some way. If we hold onto them past the point of learning, things get messy. We feel hurt. But if we acknowledge the point where a person, for example, or we ourselves need a different experience to continue that evolution, we can move on relatively smoothly. The processing will not contain so much resistance from us, and therefore less pain. Then we can approach the next thing without expectation. With hope, yes, and choosing a new experience rather than a repeating pattern. 🌅 Keep in the heart what you want, even as it changes. Holding it softly, openly, means that if it turns out not to last as long as you’d hoped, it nevertheless has value that can be acknowledged as you move on. It’s a blissful painful way of being. But the only one that is in touch with the nature of things as they are.
