next time i go in the sims ima take screenshots of the tokyo apartment im building
#the exterior design is not my original idea btw i took the exterior from a pinterest post#but the interior is all me#and some of the finer exterior details are mine too#it isnt 100% traditional bc i feel like people often go way too traditional when making asian inspired builds#meanwhile a lot of people in asia... arent like that.#bc asian people arent an archetype and they arent all monks and geishas.#i shouldnt need to say this but most of them are exactly like you and are exactly like the people you see in your area.#a lot of them also partake in a lot of western media and get a lot of interior design inspiration from westerners.#it's like how westerners get a lot of inspiration from asian cultures.#having something that looks more european in an asian build is not only totally fine but it's necessary to make the build feel real.#same could be said about any single build style. simmers go balls to the walls with only that style and thats just not how things are irl.#ever seen a simmer make a coastal house? it's like someone made a coastal mood board and shoved all of it under one roof#everything is white and blue.#theres sailor stuff all around the place even for sims who dont like fishing#like tone it down by just a few notches please <3
