Oh it's time for me to once again talk about my favourite cryptid which is sky beasts, sky beasts are basically a theory that all UFO sightings are actually people seeing creatures that live in the upper atmosphere and are usually invisible except when they take certain forms or descend low enough into the atmosphere and well, it's bullshit Yadda Yadda, but god it's compelling I find the idea of sky jellyfish living in the stratosphere so wonderful to consider and they're just coming down cos they're curious about us weird little apes

I like it so much when people have hope and people are happy and make other people smile and I like it when other people also don't give up on reaching their dreams and I like it so much when people help others and when people are nice and I think I strive to be a better person I think. The thinf you said about the mafia au and dynamics being unlocked is so true, another thing that I really liked about this chapter is the Opera/Ameri rivalry dynamic they have going and I find it really fun!! It's so different from what we're used to seeing from them (actually I don't remember if they've actually interacted that much in the original) (but them being rivals and fighting each other is so fun!!!! I love it)

YEAH even down to its bones the way characters are being presented is very different from the main series! Azz azz’s loyalty to Iruma taking multiple chapters, the age and manner in which Iruma meets Sullivan, Opera and Irumas dynamic being more sibling/partnerish than canon etc BUT it all feels true to the characters i think! Iruma still loves his family and is willing to do anything (even the impossible) to help them, love trio is still together with secrets between them, Kalego and Opera still have their beef)

THE OPERA AND AMERI DYNAMIC is sooo tasty omg…both are so protective (and a tad possessive) of Iruma! Plus they’ve both grown with him and protected him in the different eras of his childhood! It’ll be fun to see them squabble in the future. I’ve always compared their designs as two red/orangey demons with fuzzy ears, both strong and both people who are close to Iruma, so its extra fun to see them as rivals.

Mm yeah they’re sorta an underrated dynamic! Iruma kun has soo many characters to juggle, its easy to forget who and when characters meet. Thank you for the excuse to gather up their major interactions^^

Chapter 70: Walter Park

She’s in Opera’s group during the Walter park arc! They have fun playing dress up along with the misfit girls.

Chapter 81: Invincible Maiden

Ameri fights a mouse beast during the terrorist attack; Opera observes and compliments her bloodline ability.

When Ameri is discouraged, Opera encourages her, assures her shes quite strong with room to grow and even invites her to be a sort of assistant under them within the Sullivan household. I think this is an extremely high compliment! Opera’s a demon who’s been shown to be very protective of both Sullivan and Iruma, and who finds value and purpose in being able to serve them, so wanting Ameri to work with them shows a lot of respect and admiration toward her ability and person

(She turns down this request but then realizes this would mean she’d be around Iruma so she backtracks its very cute)

Opera teaches Iruma and Ameri how to cook after noticing they’re both terrible at it.

Chapter 167: The Sound of Anticipation

This one is small but I think its funny how they both set up to record the Misfits’s performance cuz they both love and support Iruma 110%! And Opera shuffling Ameri’s equipment over implies she’s got the best angle in the house, you could read this as a power move from them jeje.

Chapter 277: Opera-Sensei

When Opera becomes a teacher, they go around the school and greet everyone including Ameri. Ameri’s super excited, and because she values Opera’s strength, asks them to train the student council given they have time for it. I think this is such a sweet example of Ameri’s character; She’s strong, ambitious enough to ask for extra (hard) training, thoughtful enough to value their time and ask in a way thats not demanding. I think it also speaks of her respect toward Opera, who could theoretically be a poor teacher considering they’re new, that she trusts in them so much!

I’m sure theres more tiny bits of them but it’s been a while since I’ve properly read or watched iruma kun.

My thought process is a little scattered but I did wanna mention that I think these two would meet and be good buddies even without Iruma kun’s presence in their lives! Sullivan being the head of Babyls, and Ameri being a top student as well as a child of a 13 crown, I dunno I feel like they would have ended up training together at some point anyway. Probably not with Opera as an offical Babyls teacher, considering they only become one to keep an eye on Iruma, but in some universe where Iruma isnt in the picture and Ameri reaches for the Demon King’s seat yk? a private lesson or two!

Cannot say the same for Mafia AU tho… Iruma’s the reason those two are doing what they’re doing, and I think it’ll be up to him to get them to get along lol.

Just thinking about ypu and simon being compelte dogs to each other. Practically growling at one another whenver the other comes to close. Going as hard as ye can during sparring in training. Avoidibg each other in the halls to make sure ye dont try killing eaxh otger cuz even though the hatred is there anyone and eveeyobe can see how well you and him work together you still dont like each other.

Cue a very stressful mission that has the whole team on edge in the helicopter not a word spoken even as ye touch down on the tarmac. All of you seperating and going to your respective quarters. The rest of the night goes by when ypu try to sleep what comes as a shock is your door openibh anf simon coming in. Groaning as he makes his way over and lays directly ob top of ypu without ask8ng for permission or mothing.

Neithef or ypu speaking a word as ye both pass pyt withput anothet second. Ofc theres the awkward shuffling in the morning when simon wakes up and tries escaping your room so gou dont find out but him just moving has your eye snapoing open and your right ark goign around his throat choking him and yior left arm pulling him into you more as if you wwre trying to choke h8m.

What makes tue whole thing ecej more embarrasinf is the moan that embarrassing leavez him when you squeeze his throat. That had you waking up properlt eyes now locked on his.

Now the two of you are more awkward than anything around each other. But neithet of ye can decide where or not to just fuck and get over yourself or continue to just try an forgwt the whole thinf.

Santa Wayne comic updates!!! (please give feedback if u see this)

NOTE: i may or may not use killroy, fill, samson, and maple in the comics as they are my friends ocs and not mine and if i wanted to publish these or even make a show about them i kinda dont want to use my friends ocs. feels less original to me. but FOR NOW i will use their names and designs for my ideas until i decide to use or not use them. another thing THESE ARE IDEAS FOR EACH COMIC ISSUE so its like issue 1-6 like the walking dead and its one chapter of a bigger story :P) 1. bob cant figure out what to do for his comic so he and killroy brainstorm a way to get ideas. they come up with an idea to interview people around the Dalton county area to ask about their lives and shit. they interview a couple people and end off with them driving to New Grover City (wip name) to interview old friend now turned skating celeb, Fishy. Fishy and Killroy get into a huge argument and are shoved out the building. when getting home b&k talk about how their gonna use these ideas when they get home and really work on this comic. when they get home however they immediately fall back into old habits and watch tv and order takeout. fishy on the other hand takes a long hard look at himself and realizes that hes become a worse person over these past couple of years - b&k (bob and killroy) comics will use more earthy tones like green brown and grey to show their more down to earth personalities throughout issues 2-5 we see in news stories fishys life slowly decline until he arrives back in town in issue 6 with nothing but the clothes on his back

2. fishy realizes in his persistance to be the best, he pushed everyone he loves out of his way. he also realizes that this bachelor lifestyle is ruining him. his ego is thru the roof. he spends the day trying to do good things but keeps fucking up, until he fucks up big time by saying something very very bad on live tv and it crashes his career, ends on him looping back to his bachelor lifestyle yet now theres no one to support him in a very dark time in his life (house ruined stolen goods but the chicks he has sex with he doesnt know their names therefore he cant identify them to a police report) - fishys stories use blues and whites more to not only symbolize the sparkly blue diamond lifestyle of luxury but also the dark depressing blues of his own fuck ups. the white shows an emptiness in his life, filled by void

3. could be a revisit of the valentines comic i made in feburary earlier this year, summer trying to do a nice valentines day thinf for maple but fucking it all up and having to redo it all sloppily in time for maple to come back home - romantic comedy type story using reds pinks and purples to have nice lovey type colors

4. this revisits the classic "blank gets ran over story" that i love going back to for some reason (originates with an old middle school comic me and my friends made) ((it would also be another b&k story))

5. this would be a very simple, VERY slice of life panels of fill just trying to be a good father for samson - fill and samson comics will use dark blues, oranges, and yellows to show city backgrounds

6. fishy has nowhere else to go, s&m have "plans" and b&k hate him, so he goes to f&s house and they let him in. after about a month, fishy is editing for some skating vlogger and he gets the idea to skate again. he skates and realizes how fun it is to actually skate and not just be a celeb FROM skating culture. killroy shows up and sees him gathering a crowd from skating and challenges him to the dalton county skating tournament. they used to be skating buddies but are now rivals.

copying this from discord cause i wanted to get all of my thoughts out in one go . tlo2r analysis under the cut

it kinda plays with the themes of hourglass’s deceit and the false hope given to you by the game. smth that i kinda noticed is that a lot of outside material (aside from the trailer but erm bear w me) uses a blue color palette while a lot of the innards of the game (think like . the hour screens and the death screen! + also the extras menu) are red, even the rooms themselves have color palettes thatre on the warmer side.

this also kindof gets hammered in by hourglass’s design, whose color palette mostly consists of white and light beiges. Which is kinda funny when you consider what meanings white usually has. Purity and innocence, which are things that hourglass is FARR from. White also symbolizes rebirth and new beginnings, which makes sense since yknow he was summoned into the real world and does see his vessels as reborn versions of their old selves. The innocence part also ties into the way he sees his makeshifts, as the reason he made them in disneys image was to “corrupt” something innocent.

sorry to AND ANOTHER THINF this bur erm ahah.. hes some quick thoughts on the other tlor2 characters cayse i only focused on hourglass

- cult, kinda goes hand in hand with hourglass since hes the one hyping you up on the possibility of escape. Even gets fustrated around hour4 not expecting you to last that long. And also going like “i guess we lose 😔” only to go “where do u think youre going 😏” at the end

- Undying kind of ties in w his mechanic, because his eyesight is terrible he relies on sound to hear. So you basically trick him into thinking theres no one there

- pandora was suprisingly hard for me to think of examples for but i think the way her mechanic inverses undyings kinda counts? She cant be outsmarted like he can. The only thing that can make her go away is if you *force* her away. Either by leaving the room or using the flashlight on her. i dunno :3

one of the more significant contrarieties ive had to face is trying to figure when is the more real and subsequently more important parts of my life. generally divided between when im contemplative and living my day to day life.

the former takes place when im all up in my feels listening to music that only reinforce the emotions im feeling. the latter is when im caught up dealing with things and responsibilities and people and conversations where I'm actually living.

part of me thinks its painfully obvious which ones more important, but i genuinely feel like theres a case to be made for the former. as easy as it is to get over contemplative and overthink every thing in life, the moments where you sit down and give yourself time to think about whats happening around you really feel like the only times that matter. theres no point in going through life in a rush when you dont have the time to savour it.

this can also apply to negative aspects where you just need to take your time to come to conclusions or make decisions. i am especially bad at making important decisions on the spot without any prior notice. this extends to times where you just desperately want to feel something and escape from the monotonous repetitiveness of what seems like a never ending slump. these moments can definitely help you get some hope knowing thinfs might change someday.

on tbe other side, it doesn't matter how much you think. we've evolved to be social creatures. the mind can do incredible things by itself but it thrives and REQUIRES interaction and activity to take place regularly. theres also no point in all that thinking if you cant properly get your case across to someone who wants to help or just listen.

(a bit of a sidenote but its extremely frustrating when your feelings which seem oh so important and significant and clear to you in your mind immediately disintegrate the moment you have to get your state of mind across to the other person. i guess its just something that comes with experience which i definitely dont have a lot of.)

maybe the point is to feel. maybe its to live. maybe its both and maybe its neither. these stupid little times are why i love being a human being. my mind is in a state of serene chaos. organized omnishambles. a can of soup.

OH OH OKAY SO THE EMO ROOFTOP SCENE

LIKE. FUCK. people kinda got on Jack's case for leaving after the big fight breaks out and the bulls take Crutchie, but what else can he do? jack is 17. he's scared. he's dealing with his own trauma after what happened to him at The Refuge (which is never explicitly stated, but his reaction leads me to believe there was definitely some kind of ab•se (and its canon that the officers at the refuge don't feed the kids as they should)). he's seen as the tough guy, as the leader, as the father figure for all of the newsies, but he's a kid. he put his life on the line for them, but that's too much responsibility for a teenager.

jack got thrown in the refuge- a jail for kids- because he stole food and clothing for the other boys. he did everything he did for everyone else, without ever taking his own feelings into consideration; it was never a case of "what's in it for me?", it was always "will this help the guys i love?" and that is Jack's biggest quality i think.

anyway- so, he disappears after the fight because he's guilty. he watch his best friend- no, his brother- get taken by the bulls and watched the others he loves get hurt, and he couldn't stop it. again, this is a 17 year old we're talking about. his whole Santa Fe scene is the most pivotal part of the show in my opinion? like- we see Jack having a breakdown, essentially. "just be real is all i'm askin', not some paintin' in my head" is such a painful line because he's holding onto the hope that somewhere he's never seen is good enough to risk leaving his life behind for, and we see the struggles between wanting to stay and help his friends and wanting to get out and live and be able to have a life where he doesn't have to live with such a huge responsibility on his shoulders.

ALSO THE WHOLE THING WITH THE GUYS THINKING JACK IS A SELLOUT BECAUSE HE GOT MONEY FOR TRYING TO CONVINCE THE NEWSIES NOT TO CONTINUE THE STRIKE HURTS MY HEART

like Pulitzer basically said "if you don't tell them to stop this, i'll personally make sure all of them end up in the refuge" and even used Davey as a plot device, since Davey is one of the few that has folks and a little brother, and Pulitzer essentially said "you wouldn't want your pal Davey getting separated from his family, would you?"

Jack believed in the Strike, and he believed in the Newsies, but he couldn't handle the risk of more of his family getting beaten and thrown into The Refuge, and it kills me to see that he couldn't tell the others why he suddenly had a "change of heart", and that they all think that jw just gave up on them until they realize later on that Pulitzer manipulated him right where it hurt most

its ok despite all my essays n angst i actually enjoy fluff/comfort the most so have some amongst some toast (i think thats what tubbo said his ghost vers would be?? idk but it is cute) hcs KDNSK

bc alive tubbo has such a difficult time with it i think toast would be bad at dealing with the whole "im a separate person from the alive version of me" deal, it takes a while for him to stop but he does because its painful to refer to himself as tommys best friend or ranboos husband or michaels father and just have that deepset regret when someone has a beat of silence and toast has to go "..or i used to be, i guess, haha"

he starts having fun with it, though. makes his own name for himself, does things he maybe wouldnt have done while alive. experiments with being a ghost, looks more into limbo and the afterlife and what even causes the separation. he doesnt drown himself in it, not truly bound to expectations like alive tubbo was. still works anyways, because he wants to, because tommy deserves his best friend back and ranboo deserves his husband and michael deserves his father. he isnt quiet when he firmly says that the true main reason is because tubbo deserves to be alive and happy and experience his life as himself, and that above all hes doing this because he deserves to find a way for them both to exist, to be happy and their own people and loved by themselves no matter who else loves them.

theres a connection established eventually. if we're to take rp/mc rules here, only one can really be around at a time, toast has to be off while tubbo is on and such. they make it work. if we're to take complete creative liberty, they coexist peacefully, even if awkwardly

tommy learns to be quieter for tubbo, holds a torch for them both whenever they walk in the dark, holds tubbos sleeve when tubbo cant see because he doesnt want tubbo to wander blindly but knows tubbo wouldnt want to be touched and risk reacting harshly to stimulation with touch too. ranboo helps him get used to stimulation again, lets his particles be soft glowing lights for tubbo to contast the bright fireworks, makes him earmuffs for when things are just too loud but tubbo doesnt want to block everything out completely. michaels already quiet, but foolish and his kids help set up fairylights in michaels room and michael makes blanket forts so tubbo can touch the ceiling of them as he lies down and he can exit at any time

its hard, sometimes. but tubbo makes it through, even in the times where others arent around to help. maybe limbo broke him for a bit there, but tubbos good at building, he can build himself back up -🎭🎪 (oh also tubbo being surrounded with soft things in general. the empty endless sky isnt great for keeping warmth, but fluffy blankets and big fur lined coats are)
