The blue-suited man removed his helmet with a big grin, “How lucky I didn’t know we had a third coming along! This is going to make -- what’s with that?”

He saw her glaring through her helmet, “Simply a little shocked. Haven’t seen that face in a while…”

“Oh? Have we worked together before?” he asked as he chittered.

She shook her head back and forth, “No. But I can see you’ve had a misunderstanding.”

“About what? You’re a Subcontainian aren’t you? You smell of a royal class.”

“I can see why HE insisted on that now. Definitely better than last time.” she sighed and clicked her radio link, “Reporting emergency meeting. Imposter located, in front of the back vent, lower comm room.” She clicked the radio off and removed her helmet. She shook her hair loose.

“I guess I knew you kept the bodies of those killed. I just wasn’t aware such… a length of time...” She sighed looking at the dark-haired man who was confused, “Keith.”

“What… wait… That’s this human’s original name but. I haven’t used it…” his eyes grew wide.

“Correct. But. I know that man. I knew that man.” there was a creaking from behind.

“You got one thing wrong when calling me here.” She brushed a strand of hair back as a shadow fell over the imposter, an ominous clicking behind him as glowing saliva dripped.

He grew tense and slowly looked up at the violet alien with his glowing golden yellow eyes.

“I’m human. But my husband isn’t.”

The alien screamed but it went quiet as Arulius pinned him to the ground with a sickening crunch. He finished pulling from the vent as he hissed, frill flared angrily.

“Are you alright?” he asked turning his attention to his wife. His eyes were wide as he chittered, “No injuries?”

“Mmhm. I’m fine. Seems he wasn’t as trigger happy as Gunnar was… I also see now why you insisted I let you keep your scent all over me.” she grinned and sighed, “I didn’t realize you… kept the bodies… You don’t really keep yourself looking identical to Arulius. Not even when you take full human.”

“Ah… we do kinda. We keep the form of our first kill. It’s a weird.. Host thing?” he shifted back to human form and sat on the man as his wife moved to find him a suit to wear, “That’s why I will always look somewhat like Arulius Law. You are right, I changed a few things for my own liking. I felt… Guilty if I kept his identical look. It’s why I wear my hair longer and darker. It’s also why I stand a little taller. Why?”

“That body. It’s Harriet’s father.” she sighed tiredly.

Her husband’s eyes grew wide looking back and forth, “No shit?” he scowled and clawed the other with a grin. His wife laughed. He gave her a grin. “You’ve never talked about him much. I know it was bad terms but... “

“I knew he died on a mission. I wasn’t aware how.” she snickered, “well at least we do now.” she frowned and leaned on her hand deep in thought. “I wonder if Command would be mad if we killed just onnneeee of them?”

The blue-suited alien panicked, “W-wait I-I can be useful! I’ll defect! I don’t want to die to the Subcon Snatcher!” His features began to slip, revealing his alien nature more so.

“Subcon Snatcher?” the pair looked at each other confused.

“T-There’s rumors at the hive that a Subcontanian defected and has been snatching all the ones sent out. W-we thought it was a lie.” he chirped pleading, “P-Please spare me.”

“Subcon Snatcher. Huh. I like it!” Arulius cackled, “Hattie is going to eat that up!! Once we finish up we should give her a call!”

“It’s midnight where she is on earth!” Eclipse snickered and knelt down with an evil smirk, “Sadly. We get enough use from the ones we already grabbed so I think, because, you look like someone I ABSOLUTELY LOATHE.”

The alien’s eyes grew wider as he felt the alien’s claws press him down..

“Ru, do what you want.” she sang happily, standing back up.

“WITH PLEASURE!” his mouth split as he gripped the other and dragged him into the vent, “I’ll be back in five! I love you!”

“Wash the blood off this time! I’m not kissing you bloody!”

“Okay!” he waved as his tail slipped into the vent closing it. 

She hummed as she put her helmet back on and headed to the meeting as the lights flashed. She was glad this was their last mission.
