The only exclusions to the ABO rule i guess would be Brook (genderless honestly, prefers he/him as per his biological body when. When he had one YOHOHOHO) and Chopper who is organically an actual animal who ate a DF, he’s a unique case because even tho his zoan gives him human qualities it doesn’t necessarily give him a secondary dynamic like one so i guess take these two as the outliers and thus have no actual scent qualities or biological traits

Anyway the answer is Luffy’s legitimately that guy lol hes gonna be King of the Pirates and really only someone with that kind of conviction can lead an all Alpha crew

Franky is a funny case, considering hes a cyborg, he’s technically an Alpha but after all his augmentations he decided he didnt really care much for his dynamic and idk through the power of science and bad science hes more or less an anomaly where people can tell this person is an alpha but???? buncha guys are on a train to Quesadilla Island. there is a Huge Wall in the middle of the island. a duck greets them and says "whatever you do don't press the big red button". they press the big red button. the wall Crumbles. yay! duck comes back and says "wtf now you Can Never Leave The Island". also theres a ton of like ruins/old crusty buildings on the island and their first task was to restore electricity so like. there probably Used To Be People Here.

then! new Building appears! duck says "you idiots woke up a dragon and it flew away. now you gotta take care of her eggs". new building turns out to be an adoption center!! there are two parents per egg and each parent has to be from a different language (at the time it was only spanish and english). i forget who the parents were (this was long before i was In The Fandom) but essentially government assigned gay marriage. anyway they have to take care of the eggs and keep them happy and stuff so they don't Die

also there's a guy named cucurucho who's like one of the top federation guys. hes a bitch. then theres another cucurucho (osito bimbo) whos not a bitch. he appears out of nowhere and speaks in like pre generated text to speech voice lines and also writes and gives people books to communicate

also! an enemy is made called The Code or the Binary Entity! it's. well. exactly what it sounds like. a floating mess of ones and zeroes in black and green. and it is Violent and attacks the eggs

spoiler. some of the eggs die. its very sad. there is conflict. i am going to skip to where i joined the fandom because i don't know too much about the Middle Parts

so the eggs go missing. horrible awful tragedy. everyone is upset (and begins to go Insane). forever is so angry and sad he goes and pretty much attacks cucurucho. he then gets drugged on Happy Pills and becomes an absolute weirdo. pac goes and gets kidnapped/drugged on purpose and finds a Cure. yay! the get the leftover Happy Pills and put them in a very secure safe. it is not very secure. bbh immediately steals the pills just to prove that he could. the safe is later reinforced further. also when forever was detoxing he screamed that cucurucho told him that the eggs weren't kidnapped they ran away because of an Even Worse Danger. which some of the islanders believe and some dont

bbh does not buy it and kidnaps a federation worker who he named ron and we later found out is WB011. the workers dont get names and there are tiers D-A, d is the lowest A is the highest. also bbh has fully lost all the color on his skin and is torturing himself with soul vultures and is now covered in his own corrupted blood and torn clothes. hes also canonically completely colorblind

while this is happening tubbo is flirting with fred, another federation worker (WA02). so he's a fed worker defender 100%.

tubbo breaks into fred's office and finds two books: one saying bbh is suspicious and possibly dangerous and advising workers to avoid him. then next book says worker WB011 has not clocked in or out of work for several days and is missing. he draws the conclusion that bbh has kidnapped WB011.

unfortunately bbh had some sort of psychotic episode and. um. ate ron.

also tubbo, slimescicle and. fuck i forget the third person. got coordinates from a chest surrounded by black concrete. each of them had one of the 3 coordinates (x, y, and z) and it took them like 45 minutes to connect the dots. they are led to the entrance of a Maze. when they get through the maze they find a circular room with a wheel numbered 1-8 in roman numerals, surrounded by the eggs signature belongings. obviously they all Freak Out and try to find a way to get in. tubbo enderpearls through the barriers and spins the wheel. lava pours down from everywhere. rip

a little later everyone goes in the maze and finds a room thats like some sort of control room with a big red button. when they press it theres a dialogue that said "i think i found something about the eggs disappearance. lets continue this conversation on the main channel"

at some point they find the circular room again and it has the wheel again but this time the only egg belonging is chayenne's rubber ducky. strange.

more black concrete keeps appearing, then a huge alien structure appears. THEN. they find a message on black concrete FROM THE EGGS!!! wherever they are they can't get back and can only send one message at a time. two more alien structures end up appearing.

tubbo digs a giant hole with a world eater that bbh and aypierre hate so he names it the controversial hole.

bbh is slowly testing everyone on the island to see who he can trust and who he can't, and is implying to everyone that he will burn the world down and kill everyone to get the eggs back. we support his wrongs

philza gets kidnapped and put in a bird house for like a week, thinks it's a bad dream and can't really remember what happened.

bagi arrives with nothing but a frying pan and determination. she somehow has the code for the main channel, but they don't know what to input the code in to make it work.

etoiles now has a love/hate relationship with the codes and enjoys fighting them for fun. he kills one and the only thing it drops are its sword, shield, and a book saying "protect". he takes that to mean protect everyone on the island.

at this point everyone is incredibly suspicious of everyone else btw.

also yesterday bagi told fred that tubbo was in love with him and this morning tubbo got a letter from fred rejecting him and signed it "WA02". my ship has crashed and burned i'm so sad. he has also heavily implied he will Ruin Bagi for this

these are claims from a different whistleblower than the one that was totally not murdered by boeing

(disclaimer, im not an expert and this article doesnt go into a ton of detail on the specific issues, so i could be a lil off, these are very much non-expert speculation rambles. anyone who understands better, feel free to correct me/add more deets).

if im reading it right these claims get into the way boeing has been outsourcing more and more manufacturing of parts to other companies, such as for the fuselage (the plane body as a whole, big tube u sit in). if those parts dont quite fit together right (and keep in mind the margins of error on these things can be VERY small in some cases, though im not sure exactly how much wiggle room they got here), that can lead to too much stress on certain parts.

like, for example, if one part of the fuselage is just baaaarely too big for the next part it connects to, it might all seem to fit together perfectly fine, but every time it takes off and lands or goes thru compression cycles (that is when they take off and land, going from low pressure-high pressure-low pressure), it just puts a BIT too much pressure on where they join. and over the years, that pressure just adds up until theres microscopic stress fractures, which become slightly larger stress fractures, until they get big enough that once a plane reaches a high enough altitude theres a midair disentegration, which is. exactly as bad as it sounds.

(sidenote: compression cycles can be more important for determining an airplanes lifespan than flight hours. the usual metaphor is bending a paperclip back and forth until it breaks, how many times can you bend it before metal fatigue sets in and it just snaps. holding it in a more bent position however will take a lot longer to snap it generally.)

now to be clear, every single plane has an intended service life, and its well known that planes can only take so many compression cycles before they start to get really hard to maintain without going kablooey. a plane may be rated for like, idk, 50k compression cycles (so, taking off and landing 50k times before its retired, because after that its no longer worth the maintenance vs just making a new plane). but if it turns out that plane has some flaw in its build that means itll develop fatal stress factures at only 20k cycles, well. thats bad. not sure exactly how the schedule on looking for stress factures looks like for maintenece crews (do they do it regularly for all planes on a set schedule? do they only do it occasionally for new planes, and start to ramp up checks as the plane gets older? dunno!) but well. generally speaking, a plane having a fatal flaw that gives it an explosive midlife crisis is Bad. i would hope theyd catch it! but i dont know enough about the deets of fuselage maintenence to know the specifics.

and OH YAY COMPOSITE MATERIALS. now, before anyone gets too freaked out thinking about the uh. submarine. use of composite materials is actually far more common on planes than on subs for a buncha reasons. one, planes just generally undergo a lot less in terms of pressure (that futurama joke, "this spaceship can handle between one and zero atmospheres", vs subs that have to deal with tens to potentially hundreds of atmospheres) but also because apparently, for complicated material engineering reasons, composite materials work much better under tension (high pressure INSIDE pushing OUT, like airplane) than under compression (high pressure OUTSIDE pushing IN, like submarine). heres a vid from someone who wrote their masters on composite materials under compression if you wanna hear from someone slightly smarter on the subject. im not gonna pretend like i understand the full deets, but "composites do OKAY with tension" is enough for me, go read the fancy scientific papers if you want more.

now, so that people do freak out at least a little bit: hm. dont like that they are using Way More Composite Than Usual on this plane. how much is the usual? idk, i assume composites are much more popular with low altitude small aircraft (bc well, weight and less pressure worries), dunno whats considered normal for high altitude longhaul crafts. but, apparently, the dreamliner is "more than usual". which, yeah cool, lighter weight airplanes use less fuel which is better for longhaul flights. is it. well tested enough though???

...anyway. im not an engineer, idk the full Deets, but well. havin lotsa fun hearing the engineers talk about how the parts of the giant metal skybirds dont fit together quite right and theyre using materials that fail more catastrophically than metal with less warning, experimentally, and we dont quiiiite have the data to know if. its a problem. thats really fun! LOVE hearing about how much theyre outsourcing parts, given how bad quality control of things as tiny as the titanium in some bolts or a little bit of the engine blades being not properly vacuum forged has lead to catastrophic failure in the past, and knowing how important sourcing of parts in airplanes is. all VERY yay!

mom pointed out that my eye twitches primarily when i am stressed. like, specifically. she noticed that when i start talking about things that stress me out my eye starts twitching.

i wont lie, there have been times lately where i want to just curl up and cry because i am being burnt out and cant take the time to recover or do anything creative for myself, but i dont have time for a good cry bc i have too much to do. its so stressful and i just wish i could take my time with everything rather than being rushed.

oh yea sure! feel free to ask stuff too

but basically; the main setting was creekclan, a clan formed by rosestar after she and a buncha other clan cats were driven out of their usual clans' territories by a wildfire. they all came from a very heavily modified version of the og clans (thunderclan, riverclan, windclan and shadowclan). the stuff i changed abt clan life include a monarchy system, which meant that each clan had a large ruling family (additionally, each clans ruling family is believed to have descended from the clans founder). only members of the ruling family could become leaders, n there was a lotta competition within the family.

rosestar was originally thunderclans leader, who got her positition thru murder bc u Know. she was the only member of a ruling family to have been driven out by the fire n found the other clan cats, who then formed the aforementioned creekclan. she makes smokeclaw (garnet) her deputy bc there arent any other ruling family members around, n this is believed to have caused starclan to abandon them, but everyone thinks that once rosestar has kits n one of them becomes deputy then everything will be Okay. n then she dies giving birth to her one kit bc shes bad at giving birth. n smokeclaw has to take charge 'until lionkit (steven) is old enough to become leader' (this expectation gives him mental illness later btw). also lionkit is half-kittypet, which only makes Le Traditional members of the clan not like him that much, but they tolerate him bc hes the only ruling family member around.

until, surprise! rosestar actually did have another litter of kits before finding the other clan cats, only she abandoned the only surviving one (spinel) to be a kittypet. that kit is now fucked up and angry n also has full clan blood, n her showing up results in creekclan being torn in half by those who think she should be leader (she doesnt want to be, but likes causing problems on purpose) n those who think "hey maybe we should just. not care abt the monarchy shit anymore." all this is happening while lioncall (steven) is struggling w Whats Right and also the knowledge that his mom was kind of a fucker when she was in thunderclan.

U HAD AN HYPERFIXATION ON RAT TORTURE DEVICES IN 6TH GRADE

okay sorry this took so long to get to but i just had to find my old history assignment because YES i had a hyperfixation on medieval punishment/torture in 6th grade and YES that included rat torture and YES @natalyasneverland i see u girl so this is for u too <3

SO, yeah, 12 yr old me was UTTERLY OBSESSED with medieval punishment and all other kinds of torture, including but not limited to, RAT TORTURE!!!

now im pretty sure everyone knows what rat torture is thanks to movies and whatnot but if u DONT know, the basic gist was this:

Step 1. Find ur torture victim! 😱🗡🩸Step 2. Strap them down and then place a live rat on their chest/stomach 🐀🐀🐀 Step 3. Put a bucket or pot over the rat! Make sure the bucket/pot is secure so the rat cant escape ❌🪣🔒 Step 4. Put a buncha hot coals on top of the bucket/pot to heat it up, and wait for the results! 🔥🔥🔥

Spoiler alert: the results are the rat, upon realising it cant break through the bucket/pot, panics and tries to escape the heat the only way it can - by clawing through the torture victims chest/stomach. Yikes, right? Yeah. They also used to just straight up trap people in rooms with rats and let em get bit, and also some military dictatorships used to shove rats up peoples asses/coochies to torture them. even more yikes!

In every bloody story I write, there is a part of the story that always trips me up. I START stories just fine, I END shit dandy most of the time, but every *bloody* time theres a stumbling block in the middle where I KNOW WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN but the process of writing it is like pulling goddamn teeth. Am I bored? Is the flow off? Do I just wanna get past all this shit and hurry on to the third act and everyone gets what they came for? I don't heckin know, but there's a point in EVERY story I write that somewhere in the second act, where we're building up the information the reader needs to know, getting all the pieces into place, I stumble.

These stumbles come in 3 major flavors. One is *fuck everything* and I spend a few weeks/months not thinking about the story. At all. Another flavor is WHAT ARE WORDS where every time I look at the document, my attempts at building to the next scene just feel boring and flat. Last flavor is *shit I think I fucked up. Did anyone notice that? I noticed. Shit.* and then anxiety kicks me off the island as I freak out about a typo 3 chapters back that no one has called out or mentioned but I NOTICED DAMNIT and now I'm embarassed.

Todays frustration is very much door number two. The words aren't working the way I want. The scene feels ordinary, unremarkable, lacking tension... at the beginning of a chapter, that usually means I dont have the right opening. The *flow* is off and I haven't figured out how to kick into shape.

Yet.

This may be a product of my poor nutrition of late, but I got groceries today and did a whole buncha meal prep, so things will be improving on that front.

finished watching Teeth (2007)

i wish dawns mom had been more present in the movie and in her life, maybe that was intentional

it’s rlly odd that dawns so into abstinence and being willfully ignorant about her body since her parents dont seem v religious and had her unconventionally (im assuming, something her parents said made me think her stepdad left his wife for dawns mom when she was probs pregnant w dawn)

i think that power plant right by dawns house is the cause of both her mutation and her moms illness (never specified) like ive seen erin brockovich lol that must be it, but no one in the movie comes to that conclusion

the parents here rlly gave their kids complete freedom like they let their son be a sociopath and thought it was smart to let their daughter stay so ignorant about her body and i think her going to that gynecologist and not sensing immediately that hes a freak has something to do w not being prepared for how perverted and manipulative men are and in this movie they really are, constantly

that gynecologist scene right before the doctor came in i was like, that better be a woman doctor, and nope it was a guy so i knew like, here we go again. actually there are v v few moments when dawn actually talks to women: one scene w her mother tho her stepdad was in the room and dawn didnt confide in them what was going on in her v guilt filled pubescense as she (and her parents) were only rlly thinking of her mothers illness; that teacher talking about evolution and mutations to a bored class of evolution-deniers, like most teachers in teen(ish) movies, she was actually talking about the plot of the movie. and thats rlly it, she had no girl friends so no wonder she had to turn to that dude rick from degrassi, i just cant believe she had no friends or doctor to turn to

the teacher was saying mutations arise from pressures in life to adapt for survival and tho i think dawns mutation was from being in such close proximity to the power plant, it also definitely serves as a tool for survival

i hadnt known this movie was classified as a comedy-horror so when there were comedic scenes i wasnt sure to laugh bc i wasnt sure of the tone (like the scenes where the male gyno and the communismkills looking dude get their fingers and d*ck surgically reattached, i didnt feel like laughing bc i was more angry and still wanting more serious revenge for these men for their gross fcking behavior like for the gyno, that was assault like??? i need to see him die now)

the scene at the gynecologist played out so much like a porno i was like, are we switching tone now, what kind of movie is this now? but i guess it was meant to be comedic as well as play w the audiences anticipation of the bite but like, the whole time i just thought wow this is terrifying like dawn had never been to the gyno, didnt know what to expect, isnt freaked out that theres no nurse (or seemingly anybody else at this clinic if thats what it is) and now she has a gross fcking mans hand in her crotch like?? which is part of the reason why i dont want a male gyno like this is a horror story but the length of this scene and how long they scream together makes me think its meant to be funny which i dont think it is. like that scenario is something im afraid of, being taken advantage of by someone, a doctor, who i should trust

gahd the dude again i forgot his name the degrassi looking guy, hes sooooo embarrassing and gross and not sexy and scheming and skeezy

also her stepbrother besides being deplorable also looks 30something and like he’d fit in w the cast of jackass he just looks familiar

also when the movie starts and she gets teased and a bit harrassed for being openly celibate, i thought the movie would go the route the movie Saved! (2004) went which was cheesy but this movie was different, the guys and the style is v v 2007

overall this is a good movie, i’ve read some reviews saying its got a feminist twist but i wouldnt say that. its rated R for a reason so if you dont wanna see a whole buncha dicks getting chopped off then dont watch jdjskdjsjs

the fire kids made outta fire nd lives in the fire kingdom!! he cares A LOT about his appearance and tries to come off as a Genuinely Cool,Nonchalant Guy,despite him being a nervous wreck and really way too overthinkin to pull it off. It kind of doesnt go over well in the fire kingdom where being impulsive and brash and never trying to improve yourself or your image are all highly regarded. It’s seen as the honest way to live,so he’s dismissed as being a dishonest flame. he also wears sunglasses made out of hardened lava that melt when he freaks out

THEN THERES THE ICE WIZARD!! she is The Royal Wizard (in training) whos taking up the position after her mother!! shes SUPER excited about it because if shes the royal wizard then shes BASICALLY a superhero!! and superheros help people. Buut as the war between the fire and ice kingdoms worsen,shes forced to come into her job early. wherein she learns that the royal wizard does NOTHING of the sort. theyre closer to royal supervillains. disraught at the news,she runs away to join mud girl and fire kid. shes the oldest so she SAYS its because she cant leave two kids unsupervised,though.

AND IN THE TOTALLY UNRELATED STORY!!
