what flowers they’d give their s/o
Summary: A raffle request from my Adopt a Wanderer preorders! They’re a mix of genshin and HSR, but I’m posting it here as Wanderer’s included! If you'd like to see more HSR content from me, feel free to drop a request at @tiramisu-rambles!
Characters: Wanderer, Luocha, Jingyuan, Aventurine, Sunday
Content warnings: implications of character death in Luocha’s part.
Adopt a Wanderer: Digital Store
Red String of Fate Prompt List
Wanderer: Anemones
Sincerity, forsaken love, anticipation, protection from evil.
Just like the many versions of himself, anemones are windflowers with various meanings depending on their color. And despite the hurt Wanderer’s been through, his barriers are worn down by your honest intentions; your brightness, moments of quiet connection, and how you’re adored by many.
He’s glad the wind has brought him to you. These flowers may have a delicate appearance, but it’s obvious that neither of you are so fickle.
They’re a protection from evil, apparently. Something about closing its petals when it rains.”
“Really? In that case, I have a version of that already with you!”
It’s a bouquet made with multicolored hues, where he hands himself to you. A small thanks for acknowledging his past, and a few blooms that represent anticipation for the future.
It’s been a while since he’s been vulnerable enough to feel nervous about something. But it’s a more positive spin on the emotion, akin to excitement when he knows he’s going to see you — but Wanderer would rather choke than use a word so innocently childish to describe himself.
Due to its wild nature, anemones also symbolize relaxation and a reminder to enjoy the moment. To take in opportunities at the right time, as he’s learned from you.
Luocha: Marigolds
Resurrection, energy, good luck, warmth, prosperity, jealousy.
Luocha sees you in the warmth of the flowers, as powerful as the Sun despite your bubbly outlook. He sees the light, which makes him worry he might taint your smile with his true nature.
You thank him for the flowers, thinking of him as the miracle doctor that’s giving you a gift. He is, but he also hopes you don’t get closer without being aware of what he is.
Marigolds represent despaired love, although this is mostly on Luocha’s part as he constantly sidelines himself, making himself a ‘side character’ rather than a potential partner for you. But he’s too selfish to completely step out of your life, accepting your invitations to lunch and walks along the harbor. He says the world feels peaceful around you. It’s true.
These flowers are often associated with life and death. In this case, it’s Luocha’s silent promise to always protect you, even if you might not want it yourself.
And if there comes a day where he has to pick between saving one or another… He’ll make sure you get out alive. Perhaps he’ll even save the bystanders around so you’ll keep calling him a wonderful doctor, before his powers fail to heal his own wounds.
Jingyuan: Forget Me Nots
Clinging to the past, faithfulness, remembrance, true love, fidelity.
‘I’ll keep you in my thoughts,’ they say. A warm sentiment from the General, and behind them the memories of all he’s gained and lost in the past.
Jingyuan is used to being alone. He’s a leader after all, who wears the air of one without a care in the world. He’s capable and busy, but what he says as a teasing remark contains words that can be read very differently.
‘Don’t forget me.’
Forget me nots also symbolize links to the past. For a long-life species, it’s easy to feel the days melt together, and beautiful sights aren’t as vivid anymore.
That’s why Jingyuan thanks you for letting him remember — remember what it’s like to be surprised again, to see the sky and find it breathtaking, along with your voice in the wind. He wants to remember all of this as long as he can, so he gives you these flowers on occasion to remind himself.
“Do you miss me that much, General?”
“Of course. There isn’t enough time in the world to spend with you.”
He starts to appreciate his lifespan again, for having the chance to run into you along the way.
Aventurine: Daffodils
Honesty, truth, forgiveness, appreciation.
Despite the amount of lying and masks he wears, Aventurine knows there is truth in the anxiety he feels around you. The same feeling before a risky gamble, where he hopes his bluffs will deceive his opponent.
…He doesn’t know what he’d do if you ever looked at him with disappointment. If he somehow managed to fool you into expecting something he cannot give; heart ringing hollow, echoing deeper and deeper in resonance every time you interact.
Perhaps one day this hollow ringing will actually turn into a heartbeat, and he can finally face you as Kakavasha. (Put aside the fact that despite his persona, Aventurine is still facing the world with honesty in every act).
He also chooses Daffodils because, in his attempt at excusing these sentiments, he simply thinks of you as his source of honesty and truth. A Sun that the flowers lean toward, after blooming each spring despite the desolate, cutthroat winter.
‘Please forgive me. Please don’t look away.’
Daffodils also symbolize rebirth, new beginnings, and good luck. Perhaps you can draw this out of Aventurine, who’s been on guard against the world for as long as he can remember?
Be the sunlight that sifts through the window, greeting him every day; a good-luck charm he continues to believe in.
Sunday: Violets
Peace, devotion, healing.
You bring him peace. With every smile you direct at Sunday, he feels hope that the world around him can be rebuilt. ‘You heal me,’ the flowers say. And despite how candied flowers dry bitterly on the tongue…
‘After all this is over, I’ll devote myself to you.’
He can’t be sure if you believe him, but Sunday has long disposed of the idea of predicting you. ‘It makes you human’, his sister once said.
Violets are reminders of loyalty, thoughtfulness, and dependability. Sunday looks out for you at every corner, even if his presence isn’t tangible. He notices your little victories and joys, feeling his heart twinge from the distance. And when your days are bleak, just know there is another soul mourning with you, playing a song to soothe your sorrows.
He’s devoted to you long before the drama of politics are done. In a sense, one can almost say he’s too caring — from a glance it appears he’s not bothered with you, and watch for a minute longer, the small, irrelevant commands given to his subordinates ring clear with thoughts of you.
Sunday doesn’t put a spotlight on his love, yet showers it with the adoration of the moon. Quiet, graceful, and just a bit selfish.

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝
[0] 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿
Masterlist
Dear Future Husband,
To you who has taken away my solitude through the storms in your eyes, to you who has taken over all of my living dreams, your gaze is a tempest that renders my world beautifully chaotic - I hope this letter finds its way to you dearest one.
Tell me, is there a new envoy in your company? Passing my messages to you? Does the moon whisper to you the musings I’ve shared about you? Has it told you of my deepest desires? In the quiet of the night, lately I have been finding solace in the company of the moon. I’ve been telling it all about you - your beautiful smile that makes my heart stop, your laughter that resonates like a melody in my mind, your eyes that stir something unknown deep within me, your voice that echoes within me and the heaven knows, I just can’t seem to get you out of my head.
Like the faceless man in my dreams, you have been haunting me; You have been haunting me with your whirlpool of existence which is sure to stir up my entire world if I get too close.
But Isn't it romantic that, beneath the vast expanse of the same sky, we share a celestial connection? As we both look upon the stars that decorate the night sky, the same moon that graces your night sky also bathes mine in its gentle glow, creating a luminous thread that connects both of us.
I’ll be honest; I’m not exactly sure how this love letter thing works, but all I know is that I can’t stop thinking about kissing you. Archons, I crave you, and I crave your touch. The idea of us kissing feels like a storm inside me, and I can't help but want you close to myself.
When I think about holding your hand and drawing little patterns with our fingers, it feels like magic. There's something pulling me towards you, and it's stronger than anything else. These feelings feel new to me and I'm still figuring them out like getting lost in a maze. Even then my heart always seems to point toward you, and each day, that pull becomes even stronger.
With each word, I'm sharing a part of my heart. As I fold this letter and seal it with a kiss, it holds not just my words but the promise of the future yet you come. Until our paths cross, and until the day I can call you mine. I send this letter off to the unknown, leaving it at the hands of the fates weaving our story.
Yours Lovingly.
⤷ Synopsis :
In a world dominated by algorithms and measured affections, where love is dissected as a complex equation, Will the pursuit of love transcend the boundaries of logic? Can the heart, guided by a mere letter, lead to a connection that defies reason?
Are you willing to take the journey where the lines between reason and romance blur? Will you be drawn into a completely different world, or will your story continue along its familiar course?
But above all, the burning question remains: whose doorstep will become the final destination for this seemingly innocuous letter?

Title: meeting the in-laws
Fandom: genshin impact
Warnings: male reader, fluff, innuendos
Notes: none
☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️🩷☁️
(name) was jovial with his life, his beloved husband even going as far as to build a small temple for (name) in the grand mansion they lived in. Pantalone learned fast that fancy gifts didn't hold the weight that love and time did, the spectacled man often making time in his busy schedule to make it home for dinners or lunches when he could, of course never leaving without some loving from his sweetheart.
"A letter from my sister's!" Pantalone learned that (name) was the middle sibling of three, a younger sister who took his mantle of Deaconess at their church and an elder sister who was a knight, something that made Pantalone hesitant "they wish to meet you!" His precious bunny seemed over the moon that his beloved family wanted to meet his husband "they couldn't come to the wedding so they wish to meet you! They're coming to visit next month!"
Pantalone didn't know how to approach this, his sweet little snow bunny so happy that his sisters were visiting but he knew them both and knew the elder would be at his throat in a second...but not if (name) was present.
He was like a cute little shield.
With each day passing (name) could barely keep his excitement contained, Pantalone having to fuck the energy out of the other to keep him less of a tornado.
"They're here!" (Name) said rushing down to the foyer to see his two sisters in winter attire "(name)!" Barbara squealed as she ran to her older brother who beamed "how are you (name)?" Jean asked she looked over her younger brother who beamed "I'm great! Come in come in! I want you guys to meet my husband!" The two sisters were sceptical, they saw the wedding photos that were sent and were less than impressed that (name) was stolen by one of them.
"This is my husband, pantalone! These are my sister's, Barbara and Jean!" The two sisters glared daggers at the fatui who in turn smiled charmingly, though the two could tell it was smugness "pleasure to meet you both, (name) speaks quite highly of you both" Pantalone said cooly as they went to the parlor, the room warm and inviting as (name) put photos of family and events, weddings and birthdays in ornate frames.
"He has spoken of you as well" Jean said through gritted teeth as they sat down "big house... You two planning on children with a house this grand?" Barbara asked absentmindedly, knowing (name) wanted little ones "maybe in the future, for now I just want to show (name) all I have to offer" he wanted to be able to do lecherous acts wherever he wanted without little eyes watching. "(Name) wants many children, think you can handle that?"
"As long as my beloved is happy" (name) happily slipped his drink, fully unaware his family were all arguing Silently, passive aggressive remarks and rage from the sister.
(Name) showed them everything, Pantalone investing in a whole large room for (name)s prayers and such, it was quite beautiful as if it were a micro version of the one back home.
"(Name), are you happy?" Jean asked earnestly as (name) beamed "I never been this happy, he's wonderful..." He said softly as pantalone had to leave to work, he was a busy man after all.
"Just... Please visit us sometime, promise?" Barbara asked softly to her older brother"of course barbs"
It was ten months later when the two sisters,
Received a letter with a photo, it was (name) and pantalone with a little one year old, a precious little girl they adopted and (name) was beaming ear to ear.
Pantalone was just happy (name) had something to focus his attention to while the banker had to attend his work, banking and other activities.
"Still hope pantyloner stabs himself in the foot" jean grumbled as she framed the photo, focusing on her brother and nephew.

Bound by Creation
Characters:
Il Dottore (Genshin Impact) Reader (Experiment/His S/O) Trigger Warnings: Body modification Power dynamics Unhealthy relationships Mild possessiveness
Masterlist
Words: 724
This is the second part to "A Beautiful Abomination".
A Beautiful Abomination
It had been weeks since your last enhancement, and though Dottore claimed his work on you was nearing perfection, you knew better. Perfection was a concept without end in his mind—there would always be some modification, some improvement, some flaw only he could see.
The lab lights buzzed overhead, casting an unsettling glow over the various tools and diagrams scattered across his workbench. You sat on the edge of the cold metal table, absently flexing your hand to watch the mechanisms beneath your synthetic skin whirr and shift.
"Still functional," you noted aloud, smirking as Dottore moved behind you. His gloved hands brushed along your shoulder—an act that felt deceptively tender, though it carried an undercurrent of control.
"I would hope so," he muttered, adjusting a tool in his hand. "If not, it means you’ve failed to keep up with my design."
You tilted your head back to catch his gaze. "And that would upset you, wouldn’t it? Your favorite project falling apart?"
Dottore’s laugh was low and sharp. "I don’t allow things to fall apart." His scarlet eyes gleamed with something between pride and possession. "I fix them before they have the chance."
The meaning in his words was clear: You were his, and as long as you remained under his care, you would never be anything less than perfect. Even if it meant tearing you apart and rebuilding you from the ground up.
He stepped closer, one hand resting lightly against your throat—not as a threat, but a reminder. "Your progress has been… satisfactory," he murmured, thumb brushing over your pulse point. "But there’s room for improvement."
The words were a thinly veiled promise of future modifications, and you couldn’t tell whether the thrill or fear was more intoxicating. Both emotions lived within you now, tangled inseparably. He’d made sure of that.
"And what sort of improvements are you thinking, Dottore?" you asked softly, your voice almost teasing. "Or are you just looking for an excuse to keep me here?"
He grinned, that unnerving, lopsided grin that always made your heart beat faster—whether from excitement or dread, you no longer knew. "I need no excuse," he whispered, brushing your hair aside to expose the back of your neck. "You are mine. And I keep what is mine close."
His fingers trailed down your spine, and though the touch was featherlight, you could feel the weight of his claim in every movement. It was intoxicating, the way he viewed you not as a mere experiment but as his creation. Flawed, perhaps, but something only he could perfect.
"You’ve come far," Dottore continued, as if speaking to himself. "But there’s still a threshold you’ve yet to cross."
You arched a brow. "And what’s waiting on the other side of that threshold?"
He leaned closer, lips brushing the shell of your ear as he whispered, "Perfection."
The word sent a shiver down your spine. You knew it wasn’t real perfection he was chasing—no such thing existed, not for someone like him. What he sought was control. Mastery. And the more he altered you, the more you became the embodiment of that mastery. A beautiful, mechanical extension of his will.
And strangely, that didn’t scare you. If anything, it made you feel powerful. You were no longer weak, no longer breakable. In his hands, you had become something more. Something eternal.
"I trust you’ll cooperate," Dottore said, his voice smooth, though there was no room for negotiation in it. "Resistance would be… unfortunate."
You smiled, leaning back into his touch. "I trust you, Dottore. How could I not?"
His hand tightened ever so slightly at your neck—a subtle reminder of the imbalance between you. But there was satisfaction in your surrender, in knowing that even as he controlled you, he needed you. You were his greatest creation, the one thing he could not afford to lose.
"Good," he whispered, his voice dark with approval. "Then we’ll begin again soon."
And as you sat together in the dim, clinical light, the air thick with unspoken promises, you realized that there was no escape from this strange, twisted bond between you. You were hisbody, mind, and soul—and though the future held only more changes, more enhancements, you wouldn’t have it any other way.
Because in Dottore’s hands, you were both prisoner and masterpiece. And somehow, that was enough.
Author’s Note: Thank you for reading Part 2! I hope you enjoyed this continuation of the dynamic between Dottore and his beloved experiment. If you’d like more or have specific requests, feel free to let me know—I’m always open to ideas!

Friend. F r I e N d. Your smol brother Razor hcs made my insides flippyflop. I beg, I plead...
My daughter QiQi? Holding onto my sleeve while we go picking herbs so she knows she can get home? Getting her a little bag with a notebook and pen so she always has memory?
SAYING THE LINE FROM WHERE THE WIND LEADS AND ASKING FOR A HUG?!
Scolding Baizhu for letting her go herb picking when he knows she probably won't remember the way home?!?! Because Archons man like NO.
Hello!! Flippyflop??!! Over my writing ??!! 🥺🥺 <3
AND FOR MY NEXT TRICK... WE SHALL DO... THE OTHER CHILD THAT NEEDS A CARING ADULT!!
Also srry im rlly slow getting to yalls asks i promise it will come and i love u all for giving me asks <33
(*´▽)ノ✨️ NOW LETS GO ! ! ✨️
(Now before yall come at me, I am aware Baizhu does care about her, but BUT, he still is studying her/canonically has ulterior motives, and lets her pick herbs when she may not be able to find her way back, also he doesnt strike me as the type to be super affectionate/parental, as cute as it is to write him that way)
What a b l e s s e d ask, this is so cute i love all the kids in genshin their adorable
So... im kinda a consistent Sagau writer, and i love requests like this! But also, im not sure if u guys want me to still apply Sagau/Isekai setting to these requests on top of what was initially asked??
So i will pretty much always make all requests will be SAGAU/ISEKAI Reader based, UNLESS YOU STATE OTHERWISE IN THE ASK!!
Oh Qiqi, another child product of ✨️traumatic events✨️
(Future me after finishing this: oh god what monster have I unleashed upon the world, upon the sagau tag, upon my innocent followers...)
Damn ur lucky u didnt land in Jueyun Karst or nothin
Or on one of the many mountains/cliffs all over Liyue
Its honestly more a shock u arent on a mountain bc theres so many,,
Ur pretty close to Liyue Harbor luckily, not in town, but sort of at the base of Mt Tianheng by the looks of it, almost behind it
Its about sunset too, WOW
Liyue Harbor is hella bigger than in game, holy fuck its actually a huge port city
Should u go into the city??
Ur not sure, do they speak English??
...Wait u dont got a single mora
U cant even get an inn rn RIP
?? Should u just? Find a cave?? To sleep in??
But what about monsters??!
(Call Xiao? Nah he'd freak tf out on u, Shenhe maybe? She is the only option u can think of that seems like she would possibly take in a random homeless traveler from another world, mostly bc she could beat ur ass no matter what)
So,, Shenhe? Maybe? Ur still not sold on the idea but maybe u could gather something out here to sell on a street corner?? Or to Wanmin maybe for fresh ingredients?
Yeah sure why not,
With that, u just wander around the area, checking out all the plants and animals
The fennec foxes are so adorable
Oh shit some mint and sweet flower, finally
Oh hell yeah a sunsettia, u got food now 💪
U hold onto some of it to sell (including a low violet grass hell yeah)
Crunchin and munchin ur way thru Liyue now, it isnt until u find a particularly wooded area that u hear ur first sign of human life
...
Stand corrected,
Unlife...?
A soft hum, almost a lullaby, comes from Qiqi as she picks up other flowers youve never seen before (ooo new liyue plants)
Should u just leave? She seems busy and u dont wanna distract her bc she might forget to go back to her task..
Wait a minute.
On the other hand,
Now you can finally achieve one of your many goals in Genshin that you couldn't as a player.
Help Qiqi collect herbs and guide her back,
And scold Baizhu. >:)
.
(whats he gonna do?? call the milieth on you??? for some rude person who doesnt like the way he makes a child wander off, who has memory issues and cant find her way back??? thats what you thought)
.
Approaching the tiny zombie girl, you purposely step on a branch to let her know ur there
...she doesn't even flinch, instead she vvveerrryy slooowwwlllyyy lifts her head up from her bent position
Her big doe eyes 🥺
They dont look empty, or dead just kinda dreamy
She tilts her head, the adepti paper covering an eye
Qiqi: "...do I know you? ..you feel... familiar..."
Oh this is crazy, she sounds exactly like in game, but instead of in a screen, her voice is in front of you
You respond "Oh I don't think so?" You introduce yourself,
"Are you alone out here? The sun is setting..."
It didnt strike you until now, but the zombie girl is so... so... tiny
OMGGGG😫💘
I mean, you knew the kids were small, but not 5-6 year old small!!!
Qiqi stands, and you see her holding a basket in the crook of her other arm, full of greenery
(some u recognize like violet grass, horsetails, but others are completely new, wow u gotta wander around Liyue after u find somewhere to sleep tonight to check out how much more fleshed out it is irl...)
The little cryo user is the picture perfect image of sweetness 💝✨️
The paper falls to the side, and both of her gentle pink eyes look up at you (💔)
Qiqi answers slowly, "...I messed up my routine, I forgot to get herbs this morning...so I couldn't make the medicine for today... I'm getting them now instead.."
She turns to the right, then left, and blinks a few times (💔💔💔)
She kinda looks like she forgot the way back,, you figure you might as well ask
"Do you want help getting back to town? The pharmacy right?"
Qiqi looks back at you, and nods, "Okay...thank you..."
And
And!!
She takes YOUR HANNNDDDD 😫😫😫💔💔💔
Her small fingers are cold, and they wrap around only two of your fingers
SOBBING
Trying to hold the squeal inside urself, you turn and begin to walk off together, following the path around Mt. Tianheng into town
♤
HELL YEAH QIQI TIME LETS GOOO
After hearing about your homeless situation, Qiqi and Baizhu offer the guest room for the night, also partially as a thank you for helping Qiqi (thank fuck theyre that nice)
After talking on the way over,
Turns out that Baizhu lives just out of town of Liyue, (not found in the game, was is it with not showing characters houses...) that way he has some greenery around his house, and has a garden out back :D 🌱
Baizhu just gets this strange familiar feeling from you (it almost reminds him of,, seeing a regular customer that has been to see him hundreds of times...) that convinces him to offer you a job at the pharmacy, in exchange for living in the guest room for awhile ! ! WOO
MISSION 1:
FIND SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP + GET A JOB, COMPLETED
♧
Now MISSION 2:
GET MONEY, GET FOOD, SCOLD BAIZHU, LOVE QIQI
Literally on the first day out ur like,, Baizhu.
My boss, my friend, my buddy, my homie, my guyyyyy
U gotta let me go with Qiqi from now on, she will literally get lost hoe. 😐
Tapping ur foot at him and everything,
He's a little intimidated tbh bc ur so upfront about it, and agrees
U lowkey shame his parenting (and he actually feels quilty wow)
WITHIN THE FIRST COUPLE DAYS SHE ALSO SAID THIS!!
"Since we first met, I have had a warm feeling inside. Not the kind of warmth that makes me feel rotten. The other kind of warm. The one that happens inside my heart. Thank you. I am happy. Sadly I only recognize the current you. If I forget you... No. I will order myself to remember you."
AHHHHHHHH PERFECT CHILD <333
(Once again, if u read my Razor post, another person who can't quite articulate what you are as the Creator, but just has a feeling about you that ur cozy and safe :')
◇
SO QIQI CANONICALLY HAS A NOTEBOOK ALREADY!!
(U help her press flowers in it to both leave inside as a pleasent surprise when she forgets about them, and attach some to the front 💖)
And SHE HAS A SCHEDULE.
In the morning, she goes herb picking, then makes medicine, and then does stretches at the end of the day before bed
(At least im pretty sure thats it, it was like 3 things so she could remember easily)
ON LIKE,, THE FIRST FEW DAYS WITH HER, SHE STARTS TO FOLLOW U AROUND MORE AND MORE LIKE A LITTLE DUCKLING
And she even says "...I started memory training exercises recently. So don't worry, I won't forget who you are." 🥲💘
◇
Qiqi seemed excited to tell u all the plants u dont recognize and what they do in medicine,
U mostly think that bc she walked and talked a little faster,
her emotions arent super obvious bc apparently her facial muscles arent super flexible... :/
(she later on after she trusts you more, will sometimes let u rub her little cheeks and massage her face to let her have more range, she looks like a content kitten those times 😭😭)
But when ur not out and about Liyue's nature with Qiqi,
U do little odd jobs around Liyue, like dog walking, delivering peoples' medicine, and u even registered w/the Adventurer's Guild so u could take on small commissions :D
U used ur money to buy ingredients to cook food for urself and the household (bc Baizhu cant make anything besides soup and tea apparantly srsly how is this man alive)
And thru a series of trial and error (and consulting Xiangling..)
U made coconut milk!!! ✨️🥥🥛
Qiqi loved. It. Every. Time.
She's not tall enough to reach the kitchen counters w/o a stool, but she can peek her little head over it and put her fingers on the edge, which she does everytime u make it 😫😫🥺🥺
She has a 6th sense for everytime u make it, no matter where she is in the house/nearby lol
It was also one of the things she wrote down in her notebook that she didnt wanna forget LMAO
Next to a reminder that she knows you + other facts abt u, is "can make coconut milk"
You can bribe her with it too lol
QIQI BEST KITCHEN HELPER
Shes already Baizhu's assistant, so she is great at cutting, chopping, and prepping ingredients
She insists on helping u everytime, she'll even delay her morning routine for u to make breakfast <3
(U also make sure to remind her to eat and hydrate consistently, bc thatd be hard af to keep track of w/ memory issues, i would know 💀)
◇
U also used ur money to buy clothes for urself and her!! <3
Also apparently u still have access to the character menu? And ur inventory?? And quests???
U CAN UPGRADE QIQI
(YESS YESSS- MAKE HER THE STRONGEST CHILD IN THE WORLD, GODLIKE STRENGTH THE IMMORTAL UNDYING QIQI AGENDA HAHAHAHA)
(Her outfits show up in her outfit screen!! theres just kinda a hologram button hovering over her chest at all times..)
She seems rlly fond of upgrading her, her weapon, and artifacts bc she likes to be a stronk 💪girl to protect ppl she loves aw <3
(SHE SAID SHE WAS HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO PROTECT U BETTER THE FIRST TIME U ASCENDED HERRRR 😭💘
She also likes to help u out with commissions too, it brings her some variety in her day that shes become fond of!!
(Shes also become fond of you and all the exciting things ur doing)
AND
Ur quests menu is rlly helpful for you but also her!! U just gently reroute her or remind her everytime she needs it :)
(she has slowly gone from asking you what she forgot/what she was supposed to be doing, to just... LOOKING UP AT YOUUUUU FOR THE ANSWERRRR W/O SAYING ANYTHINGGGGG 💔💔💔💔💔💔)
◇
Bc u got jackshit all else to do in ur freetime, other than exploring, u started picking up some hobbies thatll benefit the both of you!
U bought some fabric and whatnot to make Qiqi a backpack!! So she doesnt have to carry around the herb basket anymore
(the ones being sold were too expensive, and werent quite right for her anyway, but u did stab urself enough times that Baizhu gave u bandages..)
You give it to her on her birthday!! (she also remembered yours!! She gave u herbal medicine and a necklace of gemstones she handmade like noctilous jade and cor lapis cries)
It has lots of pockets, bc Qiqi also likes to get interesting rocks or non-medicinal flowers to give you while yall are outside <3
She loves the backpack, u saw her make the
♡tiniest♡
Smile ever, which made it even cuter to see
(She also just, held it to her chest the whole day 😭)
◇
ALSO BC SHE STRIKES ME AS A SLOW BURN TYPE OF PERSON TO LOVE SOMEONE (idk if u get that feeling but thats what it seems like to me esp with her memory needing time to remember a new person, she apparently canonically cant always remember Baizhu's face??)
SO A RANDOM DAY AFTER ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF, YALL WERE ABOUT TO GO HERB PICKING AGAIN AS USUAL,
WHEN SHE TOOK UR SLEEVE AND JUST,, STAYED THERE THE WHOLE TIME,,
EVEN WHEN SHE WAS HERB PICKING-
🫂🫂🫂
Was that your soul leaving your body? Maybe 🤷♂️
But when yall r in a crowd of Liyueans and tourists, she straight up latches onto ur hand like a vice grip
She WILL NOT lose you, and ur holding back just as hard, you WILL NOT lose ur amnesiac child!!!
She likes to come into town with u when u go bc while shes not a fan of crowds, she can deal with them a lot better when ur there 🥺
Plus she wants to be able to look out for you!!
SUCH A SWEETHEARTTT
When u asked why she didnt like crowds the first time yall went SHE SAID
"Some people want to take advantage of me. Others are terrified of me. But you... You are not like any of those people."
QIIIIQQQIIIIIII MY BELOVEDDDD CHILDDDD 🥲🥲🥲😭😭😭😭
(ALL OF THESE ARE CANON VOICELINES BTW EXCEPT FOR YALLS FIRST MEETING AT THE TOP!!!)
♡
Ok so she was already pretty strong before you, but now esp since u started upgrading her-
Qiqi is hella strong and has great stamina
U saw this in action in real time when Hu Tao was strolling down the path near where yall were herb picking off to the side
Hu Tao and Qiqi like... locked eyes-
U were looking down at plants but noticed Qiqi not moving, and looked up to see the most intense staring contest ever LMAO
AND LIKE SOME KIND OF LIKE BIRD OR SQURRIEL WHEN THEY LIKE FREEZE AND THEN BOLT WHEN U ARENT EXPECTING IT THEY ARE OFF LMFAO
QIQI IS RUNNING FOR THE HILLS, ITS LITERALLY INSANE TO WATCH HER BE SO FAST AHSHAKKALDFH
HU TAO IS ALSO FAST BUT LIKE THERES STILL A GOOD AMOUNT OF DISTANCE BETWEEN THEM-
AS U FINALLY GET OVER THE SHOCK, U RUN AFTER THEM LOL
THEY QUICKLY OUT PACE UR SLOW ASS AND UR HUNCHED OVER DYING AND JUST BEFORE THEY GET OUT OF RANGE U HEAR-
"YOU HAVE TO LET ME PUT YOU TO REST, DON'T WORRY YOU'LL LIKE IT DOWN THERE THE DIRT IS NICE AND COLD!!"
AND AN INDIGNANT "No!"
LMAO HU TAO GIVES UP 2 HOURS LATER, AND QIQI WAS LITERALLY RUNNING AND CLIMBING THE WHOLE TIME LMFAO
◇
SO IDK IF YALL SEEN IT BUT THERES A TRAILER OUT ABOUT XIAO i think??
AND AT ONE POINT QIQI CANONICALLY SAYS SHE CARRIED HIM WHEN HE WAS PASSED OUT BACK TO THE PHARMACY 💀
U WERE THERE WHEN YALL FOUND XIAO
it was kinda shocking to finally have ran into him (bc u figured there was no way he would come down to see some rando human, even if u had almond tofu)
AND HE'S PASSED OUT??!!?!?!
Top ten most disturbing images: Xiao face first on the ground, out of it
And while ur like panicking "omfg how tf am i gonna carry this mf all the way back to the pharmacy, omg what happened, oh jesus this is insane its literally XIAO and he's PASSED OUT-"
Qiqi in the background like, "hup"
And just arranges him in a piggyback carry, his legs and arms sticking straight out in front of her, his ass almost touching the GROUNNNDDD😭😭😭
You: *shocked pikachu face meme LMAOOO
◇
I LOVE THAT THIS IS CANON OHMYGODTHIS MIGHT BETHE FUNNIEST SHIT OUT OF GENSHIN LORE/STORY YET
♤
Bonus: Zhongli has been going in-fucking-sane trying to locate where u are lol, Hu Tao literally made him take a few days off bc he was pacing around the harbor so much 😭
He always seems to get to where you are, just as you leave the area (apparently Qiqi's deathlike presence throws off ur very full of life one)
Literally as soon as you landed (woke up?) On Liyue soil, he was hyper aware of you
The other adepti are searching the rest of Liyue just in case ur someone where else
Lol wonder how long it took him to realize u were just workin at Bubu Pharmacy LMAO
Tell me what to write! :) ♡
Reminder: A 100+ Followers celebration POLL!!
HOLY FUCK!!

Genshin Impact Ensemble x Child!Seelie!Reader
Synopsis: Who knew a wardrobe could hide such a big secret? You know, like completely altering your physical form and shoving you into a completely foreign world with no instructions! What could go wrong?
Note: Playing around with concepts and stuff. Crossposted on AO3 and maybe Wattpad later…first post on here too (idk what I’m doing on this app!)
Warnings: mild emotional neglect, affection-deprived reader, child reader, seelie reader, PLATONIC relationships, hilichurls, possible ooc (in the near future 😭)
Chapter 1: Coming Out Of The Closet
"Ma, ma! Look, I drew you something!—"
"Not now, [y/n]. I'm busy."
You puffed out your cheeks into a pout, sighing as you lowered your hands. You worked on this drawing for hours! Well, maybe it wasn't that long...but still!
You had even taken the time to colour it in with your crayons! And it was the one with sixty-four in one pack! Oh, well..it wasn't like it was the first time you had gotten brushed off.
It was disheartening, but you shook your head to snap yourself out of your daze. Right, you couldn't be sad! It wasn't like your parents were just ignoring you. They said it was work! And work, apparently, was really important. Even more important than you?
...No, no, they said they were working for you. That couldn't be right. It was in your benefit. How could you think any different? Surely, your Ma and Pa would call you ungrateful if you were to voice out your thoughts. You definitely didn't want that. Maybe you were just too young to understand.
Still, it didn't make it hurt less when you wanted to do things with them, but they'd be glued to their cell phones or computers. Though they'd tell you they'd listen to you later, they'd just end up collapsing on their bed the moment they finish. Or they'd be busy arguing, like always.
You'd wonder why they just couldn't just hug and make up! You've seen it in your shows multiple times, so why couldn't that happen?
When would you get your magical superhero to swoop down and solve the ongoing conflict? Maybe the hero was busy helping other children. But how long would you have to wait until it was your turn?
You were patient, and a good kid—promise!
Regardless, the lack of attention you received was incredibly disappointing, but, what could you do about it? You could only hope that your parents would one day hold true to their promises and spend some time with you.
"...Okay, can I show you my drawings after though?"
"Yep, yep." She didn't pull her eyes away from the screen as she waved you off out of her room. You knew very well it was all a lie, though. "Now go bother your father for now, okay?"
You brightened. Of course, there was your dad! Surely they weren't working at the same time! You rushed down the hall towards your father's study, the paper clutched tightly in your hands. Unable to contain your excitement, you practically slammed his door open.
Maybe you shouldn't have done that, watching nervously as he lurched up from his desk. It seemed that he was napping before you came in, at least, before you rushed in. Your shoulders were now tensed, as if bracing for the worst. "...Hi dad."
His eyes focus on you, and for a second, a flash of anger is clearly shown by the way his eyes narrowed. But it soon faded...slightly, maybe, as he fixed his hair and turned away from you. "What have I told you about running in the halls? And you slammed the door so hard the neighbours could probably hear you."
"Sorry..." Your shoulders sagged as you sulked, looking ashamed. But your father did not look, nor did he acknowledge your intention for being there. Instead, he waved his hand in a similar motion like your mother had done so minutes ago.
"It's already been done. I'm not angry, just a little disappointed, [y/n]." He sighed, and you could hear the faint scribbling coming from where he sat. "Run along now. Your aunt and cousins should be here any moment now."
You nodded, slowly closing the door and walking down the stairs. You felt a bit disheartened at your mother's indifference and your father's seemingly endless criticism, but you would slap your face to get yourself out of it. "It's okay...Ma and Pa are just working. Ma has an important meeting later, and Pa is just making sure I'm not being a bad kid. I just need...to be better."
That's what you convinced yourself it was, anyways, as you made your way to the living room and plopped yourself down onto the floor. Your crayons were spread out on the floor, ready for you to continue drawing. And so you did—you had a brand new sheet of paper, and you spent the next few minutes drawing as you waited for your beloved aunt to drop by.
Soon enough, the doorbell rang. You sprang to your feet, leaving your materials on the floor as you practically flew to the front door. You'd open it with clear excitement, already recognizing the certain knock pattern that hit onto your door.
"Milo!" You practically launched yourself at the boy, tackling him into a hug. You could hear giggles and laughter from the other kids, as well as one that sounded much older than the rest—you supposed that was your aunt.
The woman was rather tall, and she bore a great resemblance to your father. But instead of the usual frown he seemed to have, she had a warm, happy smile that you'd always see when she visited. "[y/n]! It's so good to see you! It's been a long time."
You released your cousin with a nod, placing your hands on your waist. "Yes! I missed you, Aunt Cass! And Milo! And Lily, of course!" You listed off, making sure not to forget any of your dearest relatives.
"I'm sure you did," Your aunt would chuckle, patting your head as she slipped her boots off by the rug. "Where's your father?"
Your demeanor faltered for a brief moment, reminded of the unpleasant exchange you had because of your excitement. "Working! Like usual! But it's okay, we just gotta be quiet."
Despite your attempts to hide your sullen expression, Cass could see right through you. Even if you hadn't said anything, she was well-aware of her brother's tendencies to work himself to death and (hopefully unintentionally) neglecting you in the process. Well, both him and his wife had this problem, because she had been more of a mother to you than your actual parents...which said a lot. What would've happened if she wasn't there? She didn't even wanna imagine it.
"Alright. I'm just going to talk to him, so you three play here and remember, if someone knocks at the door—"
"Don't open it and call you down instead," Milo sighed, clearly tired of the constant reminders. It was common sense, after all. His response earned him a ruffle through his dark hair, messing it up completely. He only swatted his mother's hand away with a whine, trying to fix it back to how it was before.
"Yep! And if someone breaks in, run to the kitchen, because that's where all the weapons are!" Lily piped up, while you only held your thumbs up in reply to it all.
"...What they said."
Your aunt would smile, laughing a little as she clasped her hands together. "Good! Now, I'll be right back!" She'd say, before retreating upstairs towards your father's study. Now you three were alone in the living room...
So, naturally, you decided to play hide-and-seek! Your house wasn't the biggest, but it had a lot of good hiding spots. Luckily for you, this round had you as a hider. Both you and Lily were hiders, while Milo would be the seeker. You were pretty good at seeking, yes, but hiding was much more fun.
"Remember, no peeking!" You reminded the boy as you and Lily glanced at each other with a grin. You were going to make this incredibly difficult for the boy, that's for sure.
"Yeah, yeah, just go!" Milo huffed, turning to face the wall with his hands over his eyes. The starting point was the bathroom on the first floor—and the moment he started to count, you two were gone.
The two of you were together, until Lily separated from you to hide somewhere in the kitchen. You, on the other hand, decided to go upstairs. If you were going to hide with Lily, you'd both be out at the same time; you had to think strategically about this.
You were about to run into your room when you caught sight of a certain door. It was the one that would lead you to the attic. Your eyes went from the door to the bathroom—then back to the ominous darkness leading upstairs. Well, you guys laid out general rules...like how outside was off-limits for obvious reasons, but they never mentioned the attic.
A small grin made its way on your face as you stifled your giggles, running up the stairs quietly. After all, you weren't sure how much longer you had left until the seeker emerged. You made it to the top, huffing as you looked around the area. It was mostly just boxes and old furniture, and your original plan was to hide behind or even inside one of the boxes.
Those plans would fade, though, as soon as you caught sight of something even better.
A closet! It was something that apparently belonged to a distant relative, but your parents didn't seem to care for it. The presence of dust was evidence of the neglect, if the fact that it was tucked into the attic wasn't enough proof by itself.
You wondered if you'd have a similar amount of dust on your surface if you were a closet, too. Your parents didn't seem to like entertaining your endless chatter, nor appreciate your wonderful masterpieces you drew with your almighty crayons! It's okay, though. They were the ones missing out.
Brushing away the thoughts, you leaped into the closet and coughed when you noticed the amount of dust that was inside as well. You expected it to be empty, but there were a few coats inside.
Well, you say jackets, but...they sort of looked like costumes. There were weird ones. Some were red and white with clover designs, while there was one that was white and black with gold plates on them. There were even more, but you couldn't even comprehend how some of them worked. It was really weird, but your confusion faded when you heard a familiar shout downstairs.
Right, you had a much more important objective right now! And if that was Lily's shrill scream that you had just heard, that means you were about to have two people looking for you. You had to act fast.
Throwing yourself into the closet, you closed the doors and adjusted yourself inside. When you backed further into the closet, you expected to feel the cool wood against your back. But you didn't—you ran into another set of strange clothes hung on a rack. That was strange—you swore you only saw one rack. Plus, this closet was pretty darn small! There was no way it could fit two long racks inside.
Or maybe it could. It just...kept going, like an endless hole. Although you originally thought you just got lucky with the density of the wardrobe, you began to wonder if there was even an end to the piece of furniture.
"Woah. Magical closet," You muttered as you ventured deeper into the closet, pushing aside the strange attire and taking a few steps in. Actually, were you even in the closet anymore? It felt more like a tunnel now. You paused when you noticed light peeking from the top, and you couldn't help but gasp in awe. "...Sparkly."
You pushed back the final set of clothes to the side, and—
"Woaw. It's grass!"
Now, if your cousins were hearing this right now, they most likely would've called you crazy. But you weren't wrong! Far from it. In fact, you were seeing a lot of grass right now. The moon was casting its soft light down on you from above. Strange...wasn't it? It was just the afternoon a few seconds ago. Was it night in the closet? Actually, were you even in the closet anymore?
You turned to look at where you came from, only to gasp. The closet was gone. Instead, there stood a stone archway...as if you had walked out of that instead.
"Am I dreaming?" You wondered aloud as you examined your surroundings. Suddenly, you felt a new weight on your shoulders. Or maybe you had just realized that your clothes were completely different now.
You were now wearing a golden-yellow poncho, with a golden fur-like scarf wrapped around your neck. Two yellow thin strands of strange material sprouted from the front of it too. You were also wearing some sort of yellow star pin that kept the poncho and scarf connected, and it was then you realized that it was glowing brightly.
Or maybe you were the one that was glowing.
"Gasp! I'm a big glowstick now!" You exclaimed, twirling around with a giggle. You watched as your clothes fluttered around with your movements, the ends glowing a faint yellow.
What a strangely intricate dream you were having. You never had this much of a vivid experience before, and it was exciting.
"Wait, if I'm dreaming, does that mean I could fly?" You asked no one in particular, looking down at yourself before beaming. Overcome with sudden determination, you crouched down to ready yourself. You then jumped into the air, trying to flap your imaginary wings. "Flyyy, me!"
...Nothing happened. You'd fall back on your bottom, and you groaned. "Ouch. Aw, man!" You huffed, standing up and dusting yourself off. "Hmm."
You looked around for something, eyeing the stone arch. Maybe you had to jump off something? No, but the arch was too high. Perhaps you should do something safer.
Your gaze fell onto the nearby ledge, and you'd inch towards it nervously. Looking down, you realized that it wasn't a big jump. You could probably land on your feet if you fell.
But suddenly, you were nervous. Heights were scary. What if you went splat?
"I can walk away and never learn how to jump," You mumbled to yourself. "Or I can be brave and do it! If this is a dream, I won't get hurt if I fall! Everything will be a-okay!"
(You seemed to have forgotten how you had just braced a painful fall seconds ago.)
"Ookay, here we go..." You sucked in a deep breath, squeezing your eyes shut. You just had to build up the courage. Remember, flying is easy in a dream! Then you could maybe fly into the night, and touch the stars! Submerging yourself in those thoughts, you opened your eyes and furrowed your eyebrows in concentration. "Wait, I should be cool about this. Hmm..."
You thought for a moment before a grin appeared on your face, and you cleared your throat. "Toooo Infinity, and Beyoonddd!!!"
You jumped.
Suddenly, you felt lighter. You were no longer falling, but instead, your feet seemed to hover above ground. Your eyes widened—you were really flying! It felt so real, too!
But for some reason, you felt smaller...
"Oh." It was then you realized your arms were really small. In fact—your arms didn't even look like your arms! They were small and yellow, and looked like jelly! You panicked, trying to get a good look at your new body, to no avail. What in the world was going on?
You looked around for a mirror. Were there mirrors in this place? No, but you caught sight of a nearby pond. You wasted no time and flew towards it, only to shriek when you saw the reflection.
You were...you were a small yellow blob! With bunny ears! And a four-pointed star for a face! You noticed you also had that same gold scarf around your neck, but that wasn't the most important aspect right now. You literally did not have a face!
"Oh no. I'm a tiny lemon jelly rabbit!" You cried out, only to hear incoherent babbles coming out of your—well, you didn't actually have a mouth...but still. "Oh no no, I'm a tiny lemon jelly rabbit that speaks gibberish!"
Your tiny arms clutched the small ears atop your head, trying to decipher what exactly you were made out of. You were terribly confused, but yet, excited at the same time. Did this mean you had magical powers now? You always wanted to have cool powers! Maybe you could fight bad guys, and—
A sudden force caused you to choke when you felt your little spirit body be snatched up by a pair of hands. Panic swelled in your tiny being, as you squirmed. 'Oh no. I'm dead, I'mdeadI'mdeadI'm—'
"Olah!" [Hi!] It was a scratchy voice—and it did not sound human, further solidifying your fears when you looked up to see your captor. It was a strange creature with a mask, and fluffy hair surrounding its head. For some reason you knew what it was...it was a hilichurl. "Kucha si." [Small thing.]
"I dunno what you're saying, Mister Goblin." You huffed as you relaxed in it's hold. You knew it was a hilichurl, but it looked like a goblin, so you decided to use that instead. It didn't seem like it was going to eat you like you thought it was, so you could maybe trust it. When you looked over the hilichurl's shoulder, you found that it was all alone.
"Yo movo, kucha tomo!" [You come, small friend!] It exclaimed, and you jumped when it began to run off. Oh well, guess it was taking you somewhere now. Was this considered kidnapping? Your parents made it seem like it'd be scary! This was really fun! You should get kidnapped more often.
Your new friend ran a good distance before making it to a rather strange building. It had engravings on it and glowed a faint red. You trembled a bit in fear—it looked scary. Were you supposed to go inside that?
Much to your relief, it turned away from the doors and instead, walked along the stone paths that were laid out nearby. It looked like he had a little camp set up near this big glowing building. And yet, this whole place seemed abandoned. You gazed up at the hilichurl sympathetically, patting its arm. "Your home is broken. It's okay though, I'll be your friend!"
You had said that because you assumed this poor thing was living alone. You were proven wrong, immediately, because you found more of these hilichurl creatures emerging from behind rocks and stones. They all looked...the same. The same mask, fur, and even clothes. If you were to examine them further, though, there were some characteristics that helped separate some of them...like how one had a clipped ear, or how one had three scratches etched into its mask. Some even wore different coloured bandanas on their body somewhere. But at first glance, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
Well, except for one, that was much bigger than the others. His mask was more defined, and had black fur. The axe that sat next to him was incredibly intimidating—you hoped you wouldn't anger it enough to become minced spirit goop. The hilichurl that held you was now offering you up to the big guy, and you could only shrink away as its gaze scrutinized your entire being. You kind of felt like Simba right now, except it wasn't on a cliff and to celebrate your birth. You felt like you were being judged...
"...Hi." You muttered, though your words came out as babbles and squeals instead. And yet, a small part of you hoped they'd somehow understand you.
The creature in front of you—a lawachurl, definitely (how did you even know these names?), suddenly reached out towards you. Was he gonna give you a hug?
You sparkled in excitement, your initial fear fading away. You loved hugs! And this big fluffy guy looked like a nice hugger.
"Mosi?" [To eat?] It rumbled, gaining a frantic shake of the head from the hilichurl that held you.
"Nye. Kucha...tomo!" [No. Small friend.] The hilichurl seemed to beam at their leader, presenting your little spirit body up to the lawachurl again.
"Yes. Tomo!" You had no clue what that meant, but just repeated the word you had managed to catch despite their clear inability to understand you. You wondered if tomo meant friend. Or best friend! You wouldn't mind having another best friend.
But the lawachurl understood the hilichurl, and you felt a small pat on the head from the big guy. It was a miracle you hadn't been squished to death.
"Dada!" [Very good!] The hilichurl cheered, as if it were happy your presence was accepted. You blinked curiously—huh, were you just adopted by Mister Goblin and his family?
It didn't show on your faceless body, but you could feel your subconscious smiling brightly.
Now that you thought about it...you were definitely winning that hide-and-seek match right now.
Note: i swear i hate trying to translate hilichurlian LIKE where is ella musk when you need her 😭😭

Right back at you.
Summary: Where everything went downhill when you stepped in the city. A/N: This came along re2 and re4 :)) Aaand I made him like a big jerk hihi, lets just follow my silly plot, mwah mwah. (ALSO A LITTLE ANNOUNCEMNT ABOUT THAT GENSHIN WRTING I DID, I'LL PROMISE TO DO IT NEXT MONTH)
In his dark world there was you. All loveable and cheerful, only dating for a couple of months and he was sure seeing his future. He was happy when you agreed to come with him to Racoon City. One step on the city, chaos disrupted. An Outbreak. Both of you met Claire a long the way and got separated. As you and Leon now trying to find a way out of the police station. Many things have happened from being chased and so on and so forth. And that's when you both got separated, he met the Ada Wong the disguised mercenary. The woman he suddenly grew attached when you were only gone for an hour or so. When you guys finally regrouped you wondered. "Hey, who's this woman you met?" you asked, he was still and a small blush appeared on his face. "She helped me when we got separated. Her name's Ada Wong an FBI" The way he talked about her was laced with something you couldnt grasp on. Now being in a group of 3, you noticed the way he would help her instead of you, he would look at her with something other than worry in his eyes, and she felt it too. .... You should've never woke up or even slept when he told you to rest when the three of you got in the train. Was it worth it? You should've stayed in your nightmares if you were only greeted with your one boyfriend kissing another. Yet you stayed silent. Watching the scene unfold as you closed your eyes hoping it was a dream, but it wasn't. Was the world really this unkind to you? - Everything was a blur, you're hurt. A pole pierced in your stomach, as you watched Leon save Ada who was falling after being shot. Was he just gonna hold onto her and leave you? And. she slipped. And the whole building crumbled. And you were buried in those layers of cement and other kinds of heavy stuff. You thought it was the end. so how come you're found alive? Somehow still breathing and able to move? Yet more flexible, faster, and stronger. Who could've done this to you? Until a man walked inside the room. "I see you're awake, took you almost 5 months to get up." A sigh escaped the strangers lips. You look up to see a blonde man, wearing sun glasses as he looked at you with an very different eye color you haven't seen before, crimson. "Who are you...?" You whispered, moving back and hitting the wall as the monitor beside you picked up and your heart beating faster, and faster. "Do you really want to know?" He chuckled with amusement. "You're the only one who managed to live throughout my experiment, sadly Wong died. Such as shame." He shook his head and looked away. "But it doesn't matter now. What matters is that you, now work for me." He walked closer, and seeing him up close he looked more intimidating and scary. "Are you up for it?" You took a moment to take everything. You've been out for 5 months?! That Ada Wong died. And now you're an experiment working for an unknown man! But what were the odds, at least she was alive. And her eyes lit up. He's still alive, he has to be. Leon Kennedy "As if I have a choice." You answered. "Alright." You looked at the man with somehow an interested look. The man seemed to be shocked. "You're interesting, maybe I will keep you." He muttered. The one thing only kept coming back in your head. The same man who left you to die for someone who was already died. For now, you pray you'll meet up in the future to let him see what he'd done to you.

My Genshin Impact DR
And here is the post I promised! I feel like my take on this DR is probably more unique than most, so if you feel inspired by the concept, feel free to adapt it into your own scripts!
First, some background. I first played Genshin starting on last year's anniversary, and one thing that bothered me from the start was how the game does absolutely nothing to acknowledge the characters in your party. I got Diluc from an early pull, but no one would say anything if I brought him to the Angel's Share, or the Dawn Winery, or Donna.
Then, my Immersive Daydreaming kicks in. If the game's not gonna acknowledge these characters, I'll just do it myself. So I started imagining interactions between these characters as we traveled. Like Aether messing around with Kaeya while Amber tries to yell at them and Lisa laughs in the background. I also tried to avoid using Teleport Waypoints unless absolutely necessary, so it felt more like we were on an adventure.
Gradually, this evolved into a whole sideplot alongside the Archon Quests, one that explored character arcs. I became really invested in it and decided to add it to my DR. If people are curious, I can fully detail this plot in a future post if people are interested. For now, just know that I'm Aether in my DR.
For this plot to happen, I would need to interact with people I wasn't supposed to have met yet in the main storyline. So my solution was to have nearly every playable character be a member of the Adventurer's Guild as part of a special division for Vision users.
But wait, what about Bennett and Fischl? Doesn't that make them less special? Once I realized that, I decided that they would be the leaders of this branch. Yes, Bennett actually gets the respect he deserves within the Guild. Is it weird for two teenagers to be leading a major branch of a massive international guild? Maybe, but it's shifting, so who cares?
Moving on, this doesn't mean everyone will be available all the time. People have their own lives after all. And there's also some obvious limitations like Nahida before she's freed, all of Inazuma before the Sakoku Decree is lifted, etc. But this shift in availability is good, as it allows me to spend time with people I wouldn't have otherwise.
Each of the Guild's headquarters has a proper building, and within it there's a corkoard with a list of people's current availability. When I'm about to leave on a quest, I can choose up to 4 people to come with me. In my DR, Teleport Waypoints only exists between the Guild's branches, and their purpose is to allow adventurers to quickly reach the places they were commissioned to. So I tell Katheryne who I want in my team, she gets people to send my requests to them, and I wait for them to arrive.
And that's pretty much some of the most important things about my DR. Like I said, feel free to steal the idea for your own scripts, and also if you want to hear more about my plot, just let me know in the notes or through asks! Bye for now :D

Genshin Headcanons: How They Apologize (Itto, Albedo, Jean)
Itto:
Depending on what you fought about, at first, he would be too proud to apologize
The One and Oni Arataki Itto, being wrong? Fat chance
Yet as you give him the cold shoulder, he grows increasingly pouty. Why aren’t you talking to him and giving him kisses? Don’t you love him anymore? He begins to grow almost insecure the longer you draw out the punishment
It doesn’t take long of being ignored till his resolve is crumbling to dust. Depending on how mad you are, Itto might be extra and even get down on his knees as he apologizes to you
“(Y/N), my babe, my doll, my honey, my numero two, please don’t be mad at me anymore! I won’t do it again, Oni’s honor! Just please, please stop ignoring me babe. I miss being in your arms, and kissing you.”
If you don’t have the patience to ignore him for a while, or his groveling for your affection isn’t enough, you can always talk to Shinobu
Within the hour, she will have him whipped into shape with a written apology that he will read out in front of you
It would be a nice apology that addresses the issue nicely thanks to Shinobu’s advice. It’s just hard to ignore the giant whelp that Itto seems to have on the back of his head after spending an hour under Shinobu’s strict gaze
He will be super grateful that you’ve forgiven him, vowing to never make the same mistake again
Itto does surprisingly well about not repeating past offenses, the problem is that he seems to always come up with new ones
Albedo:
Arguments with him are rare and mostly one sided. It’s not that he doesn’t care, it’s just that he’s usually confused about why you are mad
It takes him a while to get around to apologizing to you
Albedo not only wants to make sure you have had plenty of time to cool off, but he also wants to make sure that he prepares an articulate apology for you
Given that he tries to plan out his apology, it comes out as a bit stiff and script like, but the small furrow of his brows and the concern in his eyes shows that he really does care about your feelings
He’s more than happy to talk about your feelings; why you got mad, where things went wrong, and how to not make the same mistakes in the future
Albedo will handle the situation in a very mature way, and make sure that you don’t confuse his stoicism for lack of feeling. He cares very much about what you think, he just has a hard time showing it
He’s very keen on making sure there is healthy communication between you two. Albedo isn’t dumb, he knows he can be a bit cold and aloof externally, and communication is the tool he uses to try and combat potential misunderstandings
When you have forgiven him, he will give you a tender kiss to your forehead, a wordless promise that he will try to do better for you in the future.
Jean:
She usually feels a lot of guilt before the argument is even over
When it’s possible, she will find a way to interrupt your ranting to apologize, and ask you to calmly talk about the issue with her
If you storm out before she gets to apologize, she’s actually very internally distraught, barely able to concentrate on her work with the Knights
As soon as the opportunity arises, she’s giving you a bouquet of dandelions to apologize
Jean will explain that she knows what upset you and why, and that she feels terrible about it
She doesn’t want you to think that just because she’s busy that she doesn’t think about the best way to resolve problems with you
Her job is super stressful and she isn’t perfect, but she appreciates your understanding
With her apology, you almost completely forget what you were even mad about to begin with; her apology is just that sincere and heartfelt. How could you stay mad at her?
Even after she’s forgiven, she will still feel a little awkward and guilty about the argument until you give her a kiss for reassurance; whether it’s on her forehead, cheek, lips, or hands, you’ll have her blushing like a schoolgirl and forgetting what she was torn up about

Hi Lock <3 I don't know if this has been asked before but I had this thought yesterday at 5 am... What happens to Scara's darling after he wipes his existence from Teyvat? Would he try to pursue them again? If so, would there be anything he'd do differently than before? He knows what works and doesn't now after all...
hello ada !!!!
WHEW BOY... do i have some thoughts on this... let's see if i can get enough neurons firing to capture what i have in mind. some of this response involves conjecture on my part about genshin's overall lore, but i promise i'm going somewhere with it. pinky swear. stick with me.
one of the key takeaways from scara's archon interlude is the flow of teyvat's fate. at first, i found it very odd that scaramouche erasing his existence had so little consequence. i've always been of the belief that even the smallest, seemingly insignificant acts can have unforeseen consequences on the future (butterfly effect type beat). at first i thought mihoyo was being lazy by keeping everything in this teyvat 3.0 essentially the same with teyvat 2.0 (and tbh who knows maybe this is the case and i'm reading way too into it bc i overanalyze anything scara related), but then i wondered if this is a hint at the type of universe teyvat is.
then i considered the possibility teyvat is ruled by a type of predeterminism. while we don't know exactly what the heavenly principle are, apparently the original chinese characters for what's translated as heavenly principles can be read as destiny (and or fate). this make me wonder if teyvat has a set of 'rules' that, for whatever reason, must be adhered to. if something disturbs this delicate balance, the universe reorganizes itself in such a way that it closely mimics the universe before it.
ALRIGHT . all that to say.
wouldn't this spell the ultimate tragedy for scaramouche's darling? a delicious tragedy, but a tragedy nonetheless.
for some inexplicable reason, the story woven by fate for his darling is one of subjugation. the universe rewriting itself does not change the genre of their play. no matter what point they start at, the ending to their story has already been determined. in this teyvat 3.0, the kabukimono is still drawn to them, still obsessing to an unhealthy degree. perhaps it's not as bad as living under scaramouche's thrall, but bad is a relative term here, this is still no way to live. kabukimono is granted a set of advantages which scaramouche never had, namely his naïve personality lending itself perfectly toward manipulation. he embeds himself into your side and makes it so it hurts you to try and pull him out. he'll get tearful, apologize profusely for crossing another line, quietly pleading to not be left behind when you're all he has.
then comes the events of the archon interlude.
when the blank slate version of kabukimono takes on all of scaramouche's memories, coalescing into one, your close ties surprise the freshly awoken scaramouche. in teyvat 2.0, he hesitated while wading through irminsul; it had been you who pushed him to make the decision to erase 'scaramouche', the sole source of your woes. after gazing through your memories from your lens, he saw the extent of your despair, felt it reverberate in his hollow chest cavity. it occurred to scaramouche that you really would have been better off without him, painful as it was to admit it.
so he resolved himself to do right by you just this once. his first and supposedly last act of sacrificial love toward you.
except... that wasn't the case. 'wanderer' as he goes by now condemns himself for his foolish, wishful thinking. what a revelation this is! the messy threads that pull you together are ties that can never be severed. this is definitive proof. in this universe where you were meant to be free, you still found him, or to be more specific, he still found you. he's elated, he's thrilled. the energy that fills him at this realization is more invigorating than when he temporarily became a god. yours is a story whose script shall never be altered.
after departing from the sanctuary of surasthana, it doesn't take long for the wanderer to happen upon you again. it's as if your presence quietly calls out for him.... whispering, beckoning.
the first words he says to a somewhat confused you are as such:
"how good it is to see you again."
#yes i will write a full story of this one day. who knows when tho#yandere scaramouche x reader#scaramouche brainrot#answered#scaranya

hello! my genshin team is zhongli lyney and benny and furina! (pls don't do the kink for tickling one if that's okay ty!)
ask game is closed!
hello, thanks for sending your team! my laptop froze while typing yours out and didn't save and it's like 1 am i'm gonna scream alskdjf
who’s the most ticklish character
mmmmm it'd be a toss-up between lyney and benny! i think lyney would be slightly more ticklish, but benny always loses tickle fights so it feels like benny is the more sensitive of the two and he always attributes it to his bad luck and lyney is standing there like "oh ya, you're definitely the most ticklish on the team, can't relate"
who’s the character that most people would assume isn't ticklish, but actually is
zhongli because he's so much older and more mature than the other three that ticklish zhongli is not something that would really cross most people's minds especially when he's standing next to the other three lol
who’s the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles
FURINA especially when she's acting like a diva or being out of touch and just needs to be brought back down to earth but i don't think she would really mind the tickles and she might even like them also zhongli! the other three love to gang up on him sometimes and he can definitely throw them off if he wanted to but he just sits there and lets them have their fun
who’s the character that somehow knows everyone else’s tickle spots and reveals them to others
zhongli knows everyone's tickle spots but i don't think he'd go around revealing them. rather, he might be watching furina or benny getting wrecked by lyney and after the tickle fight is over, he might go over to them and subtly drop one of lyney's worst spots, just to give them a little edge over him in any future tickle fights also lyney is like an older brother figure to benny and furina and he just a good hunch when it comes to tickle spots. he can't get a good read on zhongli, though.
who's the character with one specific tickle spot that only one other person knows about
lyney actually tells benny that the back of his knees are super ticklish because he feels bad benny always loses aslkdjfkals but he makes him promise not to tell the others
who’s the most likely to win gang tickle wars
ok zhongli could win if he wanted to, but he just lets things slide and kinda lets one of the other three come out victorious. like he might put in some effort just to give the illusion that he's trying but then kinda just gives up for their sake. but in most cases, it's usually lyney. maybe zhongli will help out benny and furina by holding down lyney every once in a while just so they can be the winner for once ehehe
which character didn’t even know they were ticklish until another character tickled them
furina because of lack of interaction and having to put up an act for so long. she found out she was ticklish one day when she saw lyney tickling benny and she wanted to experience the same thing, but was too shy, so she went to zhongli and he offered to test a few spots for her
which two characters have tickle fights all the time
LYNEY AND BENNY like he would be so overprotective of benny and make sure he's okay after tickle fights and make sure he isn't losing too much breath while being tickled. also sometimes he lets benny win and it's really cute alkdwjskaljs also lyney and furina! initially lyney tried pulling the caring older brother act that he does with benny but furina took that as an insult like as if lyney didn't think she could hold her own in a tickle fight so she just gets wrecked all the time rip girlie

Forget Me Not // Chapter 4
Fandom: Genshin Impact Ship: CynoNari
Summary: After Cyno broke their engagement, Tighnari left Gandharva Ville. He returned years later so Collei could attend school there. Collei could see the unspoken feelings between Cyno and Tighnari and decided to help them get back together. Cyno couldn’t explain to Collei that he left Tighnari to protect him. (Modern AU)
Ch.1 // Ch.2 // Ch.3 // (Ch.4) //
“The modified seeds from group B have longer roots than the control group. It’s promising but we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves with the results and claim that the experiment is a success. We need to observe the fruit that they produce and ensure that the modified seeds won’t have any side effects.” Tighnari spoke with his colleague over the phone. “I read a study about electro horticulture and how it can promote plant growth. It will allow us to observe the results quicker.”
He ended the call and turned back to the plant observatory. While the other scientists in the Amurta Project left for their lunch break, Tighnari stayed behind to finish writing a report on the plants’ growth. Most would see the long research period required of botany as tedious yet he didn’t mind. He took pride in nurturing plants and watching them grow.
“I hope Collei is adjusting well in school and she’ll make new friends in time for the festival. I should cook her favourite food and talk to her about it tonight.” He muttered to himself. Their move to Gandharva Ville would be best for her future but it was also important for her to enjoy her teenage years. While Collei had different opportunities to meet people at her local high school and Faruzan’s classes, she struggled to make friends.
Small footsteps echoed throughout the greenhouse and Tighnari assumed that one of his co-workers had returned. He walked to the door where he could greet them and continue their earlier conversation. To his surprise, he found Nahida wandering through the greenhouse. Tighnari glanced around the room but he couldn’t see Cyno. Worried that she was lost, he approached her.
“Hello, Nahida. Are you looking for Cyno? I can take you to his office.” Tighnari said as he knelt in front of her. Her eyes widened and she hid a lunchbox behind her back. After raising a shy child like Collei, Tighnari was able to read people’s emotions. “Did you come here to eat your lunch? There is a rule that you can’t bring food into Pardis Dhyai but one little picnic should be fine. The only condition is that you must throw away your trash properly.”
Pardis Dhyai was a popular place for students to eat due to its scenic flowers and relaxed atmosphere. Tighnari had to admit that he ate in the greenhouse a few times. When he was a student, he worked in the greenhouse and often lost track of time. Cyno would visit him during his break and remind him to eat. He couldn’t help but indulge in a small picnic each time Cyno suggested it. Recently, the university changed their policy and banned food from Pardis Dhyai.
“I will eat my lunch in the Matra office. Cyno said that I shouldn’t bother you while you’re working at the university. I’m sorry for giving the photo to Collei.” From her apology, it appeared that Cyno had spoken to her about her matchmaking efforts. Tighnari should’ve felt grateful that she wouldn’t create more scenarios for him and Cyno to reconnect. Her guilty expression tugged at his heart though.
“You had good intentions so neither Cyno nor I are angry. We want you to understand that you shouldn’t meddle with a relationship between adults.” He spoke in a soft voice and patted her head. “I was about to have lunch so you won’t be interfering with my research. You and Collei attend Faruzan’s program together. Her class won’t start until four o’clock. Did Cyno take you to the university early?”
“Layla is babysitting me. I usually read in Layla’s office while she’s grading assignments. She fell asleep so I came to Pardis Dhyai to eat.” Nahida told him. From how comfortable enough to explore the greenhouse by herself, Tighnari reasoned that she would often slip away from Layla. “She looked really tired and I didn’t want to bother her.”
“I’m certain Layla herself would tell you to wake her if you needed anything.” He told her but she only tilted her head in response. Since her mother disappeared and Cyno was occupied with his investigation, she raised herself. Tighnari sighed. “Sometimes, you speak as if you were Cyno’s daughter. You both need to learn not to endure so much by yourself. After you finish eating, I will take you back to Layla’s office. It’s dangerous for a child to walk alone.”
No matter how safe Gandharva Ville was, Tighnari felt a responsibility to protect and watch over Nahida. She reminded him of Collei when he first adopted her—lonely and unsure. Tighnari learned that Collei was truly a bright and energetic child in nature but her experiences made her withdrawn. He hoped that Collei and Nahida could become carefree children.
Tighnari returned to his work while Nahida ate her lunch. He kept her in the corner of his eyes so she wouldn’t wander away and become lost. She glanced at him with curiosity brimming in her green eyes. Nahida set aside her lunchbox and climbed down from the bench. After she picked a sweet flower, she walked to Tighnari’s desk.
“Can you give Cyno this flower for me? It’s to thank him for taking care of me until Mama comes back from her trip.” Nahida needed to stand on her toes to place the flower on his desk.
“Is this another one of your plans to make Cyno and I talk?” Tighnari bluntly asked her. Guilt passed her face and he let out a heavy sigh. “Nahida, we spoke about this already. You shouldn’t try to trick adults. Even if Cyno and I talk again, it’ll be as friends. I don’t know why you’re so fixated on this.”
“When Cyno thinks no one’s looking, he would make this lonely face. That photo with you was the first time I’ve seen him so happy. He helped me so I want to repay his kindness.” Her voice was strong and resolute compared to how small she was. “Mother said that it’s important to keep loved ones close. Won’t you talk to him again?”
“He was the one who ended our engagement.” Tighnari raised his voice without meaning to. Frustration that festered from years of unanswered questions boiled over. The first time you saw him happy? Our relationship wasn’t even important enough for him to give me a reason. Perhaps he found someone who made him happier than I could or he wanted to commit himself to his work. No matter the reason, time has passed and Cyno and I are different people now. We can’t simply jump back into a relationship.
“Cyno wanted to protect you! That’s why he left.” The reason echoed throughout the greenhouse and then settled in Tighnari’s mind. At first, he didn’t know whether to believe her. What could he be protecting him from? Why would Cyno tell a child why he left but not Tighnari? Did Nahida make up a reason so he would talk with Cyno? Her eyes never wavered though. “This is his way of keeping you safe but I can see that it’s hurting both of you.”
“I can talk with him but I cannot make any promises that we’ll start dating again.”
Tighnari twirled a peony between his fingertips as he walked through the parking lot. When he envisioned their wedding, it would be adorned with violet flowers. While he told Nahida that he would try to talk to Cyno one more time, Tighnari still needed time to think of what he should say. The question of why Cyno left him so suddenly had always bothered him. Strangely, a part of him was afraid that his answer would confirm every insecurity he had about their engagement when they were younger.
He reached his car and slipped into the driver’s seat. As he closed the door, he heard someone call his name. Tighnari didn’t expect to see Cyno running towards him. The panicked expression Cyno had made him pause. Before his confused feelings could tell him to drive away, he lowered the car window. Even after years of heartbreak, someone about him drew Tighnari to him.
Cyno stopped beside him and then leaned against the window. There was a layer of sweat on his brow and Tighnari wondered if he ran to the parking lot from his office. “Thank goodness, I caught you before you left. I wanted to give you something but I was busy with work all day. Well, this is a book that I thought would help Collei.”
He held out a familiar book to him, Explaining the Joke Makes It Funnier. Tighnari recognized the book from when Cyno would try to make their classmates laugh with the jokes inside. He would practise the jokes late into the night with him. Even though the puns weren’t funny, Tighnari would listen to them because he liked the subtle smile Cyno had as he told the dry joke.
“How do you fix a cracked pumpkin? With a pumpkin patch.” Cyno asked. His voice was flat and serious so it took a moment for Tighnari to realize that he was telling him a joke. He groaned and slumped forward against the steering wheel. He rested his chin in his hand to hide the small smile that he couldn’t resist. Tighnari found it charming how earnest Cyno was.
“I can’t believe you still have this book.” Tighnari said and flipped open the cover. In the margin of the books, there were small notes that they wrote together. “Your explanation of these puns is longer than the joke itself. If I recall correctly, your jokes would be followed by silence more often than laughter.”
“The day we met, you laughed at my flower bud joke. Do you still remember it?”
Tighnari shook his head to deny the memory even though that day was still vivid in their mind. Cyno smiled knowingly but he didn’t continue to insist. The smirk was able to make frustrated Tighnari and made his heart flutter at the same time. A thought passed his mind, I can erase that confident smile from his face if I kiss him.
Tighnari quickly shoved the thought from his mind. Nahida’s words rekindled a hope in him that was better left in the past. He handed the book back to him and said: “Thank you but Collei prefers light novels over joke books. Did Collei tell you that she was struggling making friends? She didn’t mention anything to me. It’s a little disheartening that my daughter is more comfortable talking with you about these things than with me.”
“When I transferred to Gandharva Ville as a child, it was difficult to make friends. It thought it might be the same for Collei. These puns helped people feel more comfortable around me and they can help her too.” He explained. Warmth filled Tighnari’s heart and he held the book a little closer. The thoughtful gift reminded him of why he first fell in love with him. Past the stern and cold demeanour that he had for work, Cyno was kind, silly and heartfelt.
“A lot has changed since then. You’ve made a lot of friends who don’t mind your sense of humour: Kaveh, Alhaitham, and Dehya. Hopefully, Collei will find people like that too.” When he listed a few of his friends, Cyno felt as if Tighnari was subtly placing distance between them. He didn’t include himself in the list. He understood why he would place a wall between them after he ended their relationship. It had been his intention to push him away. Nevertheless, it hurt to lose his lover and best friend.
“What did the big flower say to the smaller one? What’s up, bud? You should tell Collei to break the ice with that joke.” He echoed the pun from the first day they met. Cyno chuckled at his own joke but the laughter never entered his eyes. He missed Tighnari and his laugh most of all.
“Cyno, I… Nahida asked me to give you this flower.” He held out the peony to Cyno. Tighnari intended to ask him about what Nahida told him that afternoon. What did he want to protect him from? The words became caught in his throat and he hesitated for a moment. The parking lot wasn’t the best place to have a long discussion about their relationship. “Are you free tonight? There’s something I want to ask you.”
“I’m sorry, I need to submit my report on the Amurta Project to Azar.” Tighnari reminded himself that the rejection shouldn’t hurt him because Cyno’s job was important. Unfortunately, no amount of logical argument he used could erase his feelings. His fingers faltered and he almost dropped the flower to the ground. Cyno slipped the peony from his hand and said, “We can talk next time Nahida has a study session with Collei.”
“Whenever that will be. I need to go before traffic clogs up the road. Goodbye, Cyno.” He rolled up his window and started the engine. Cyno stepped back from his car so Tighnari could pull out of the parking lot. He stepped onto the sidewalk but he didn’t walk back into the university. He watched Tighnari’s car disappear into the distance.
Then, his gaze fell to the peony in his hands. Tighnari claimed that Nahida was the one who wanted to give him the flower. Cyno could easily see through his lie. During his lunch break, Nahida told him that she picked sweet flowers from the greenhouse. Even if she hadn’t told him, Cyno was able to read Tighnari’s expression easily. His only question was why Tighnari would give him the flower.
“I want to make the pita bread from scratch. The recipe says that we need dry yeast. Do we have any at home?” Collei asked and showed him the picture on her phone even though he was already familiar with the ingredients. He didn’t comment on that and only smiled patiently. They had settled into their new home and returned to their family routine like when had in Sumeru City.
“We’ll add it to the grocery list. We should divide and conquer this store. I’ll get the vegetables on the list while you go to the baking supplies section. Let’s meet in the seafood section. I better not see junk food in the cart.” He joked and tousled her hair. She nodded and excitedly ran down the aisle. Tighnari was relieved to see that Collei was adjusting well to Gandharva Ville.
He walked to the produce section. As he picked out tomatoes, he silently listed everything he needed to prepare for their lunch. His thoughts drifted to Cyno without him meaning to. They agreed to speak again when Collei and Nahida had another study session but several days had passed since then. Their different jobs kept them from running into each other at the university as well.
A part of Tighnari wondered if it was for the best. He wanted to hear Cyno’s reason for closure but he hadn’t decided whether he should pursue another relationship with him. Even if the reason was something Tighnari could accept and understand, he needed to think of Collei. His heart tightened as he pictured Cyno as a part of their family. When they were dating, he thought that he would be a wonderful father.
“Tighnari?” The sound of his own name startled him and he turned to find Cyno standing behind him. He had a basket of food in his hand and Tighnari reasoned that he was buying groceries as well. Gandharva Ville was a small town and it was common for people to run into someone they knew. Though, Tighnari had to question whether the gods were mocking him in this situation.
“It’s rare to see you outside of the office, Cyno.” Tighnari greeted him but his voice sounded guarded. While he maintained a polite smile, Cyno felt as if Tighnari’s sharp eyes could cut through him. Their gaze met and the ice blue of eyes softened for a moment. A sigh fell from Tighnari’s lips before he asked: “Are you buying food for Nahida? She’ll need more than frozen food. Nutrition is important, especially for a growing child.”
“I usually make tahchin for Nahida. It’s one of my specialty dishes.” Cyno was a practical person and most of the recipes he knew were food he could make in bulk. He made a sheepish smile and added: “I shape the rice into a pyramid and she finds it amusing.”
He imagined the elaborate tachin pyramid and unconsciously smiled to himself. It was something simple and childish yet the extra effort he put into the dish was nostalgic. They would eat his rice after long nights together.
“Tachin is fine but you should give her more variety. A salad can be a good side dish to pair with rice.” He hooked his finger around the basket and lightly pulled him down the row of fruit. His grip wasn’t forceful and Cyno could easily pull away. He followed Tighnari and fell in step next to him. Tighnari took an apple and placed it in Cyno’s basket. “Where is Nahida right now?”
“Kaveh is babysitting her and she’ll have lunch there. I was just buying a few things before I picked her up. That frozen meatloaf is for me.” Cyno confessed, expecting Tighnari to lecture him for buying unhealthy junk food. He was tired after work and he didn’t have the energy to cook unless it was for Nahida’s health. He offered to protect her out of sympathy but, with time, he started to care for her like a daughter.
“Cyno, it’s great that you’re thinking of Nahida’s health but that’s more than just cooking for her. You need to show her good eating habits and frozen food is far from that. Just because you can eat that and still maintain that fit body of yours, it doesn’t mean you can neglect meals.” Tighnari said and lightly poked his arm. He could feel his toned muscles beneath his sleeve and pictured Cyno holding him like he used to. He dropped his hand and stepped back.
Cyno didn’t mind the lecture or stern tone and he only chuckled in response. He knew that Tighnari’s words meant that he cared. “It’s a little ironic that you intend to lecture me when you were the one who stayed up past midnight to study. I was the one who dragged you to bed.”
“Let’s compromise and say we both work too much.” Tighnari said and placed potatoes into a bag. “This is the last item I need on my grocery list.”
“What do french fries do when they meet after a long time? They ketchup.”
“Bread puns happen when you yeast expect them.” He countered Cyno’s joke with one of his own and left him speechless. Tighnari smirked and said, “I was worried that you would tell me twenty more food puns. I thought I should beat you to it.”
A cart entered the corner of Cyno’s eyes and the front wheel barely stopped in front of Tighnari. He wrapped his arm around Tighnari’s waist and pulled him out of the cart’s path. Collei tapped her finger against the cart and looked between Tighnari and Cyno. Usually, Tighnari would be able to hear someone approaching him. She said, “I’m sorry. You were taking a while so I came to look for you.”
“It’s my fault for taking so long.” Tighnari said to reassure her. He placed the bags in the cart. “Bye, Cyno.”
“Wait,” Collei stopped them from leaving. “Do you want to have lunch with us? You should invite Nahida too. I’m making pita pockets and I would like a lot of people to taste test for me.”

Before I say anything else, I would like to say thank you in every possible way for supporting this project of mine. There truly are no words to describe how much all the love you give means to me.
I am making this post because there will be a lot of changes moving forward and I want to share them with you!!
The Origin Story™
I started writing Etched in Fire and Lightning about a year and a half ago for an awfully simple reason: I was starved for some BenneFischl content but there's not much abundance of it in the genshin fandom. And so I took matters into my own hands and cooked a massive 12-chapter longfic featuring one of my favorite ships in the game. Originally I was planning a one-shot fluff smut fic but my ego said: "really? your first venture into fanfiction and its a one-shot smut?"
So as you can see, there was also some level of spite involved in the writing of this fic. And yes, this is my first work as a fanfiction writer. I used to be more of a poetry guy so this project was a really big step for me as writer.
I will be taking a much need Hiatus
Yes, I know I know, I'm sorry. But as much as I love this fic, I am admittedly burnt out writing it.
Chapter 6 will for now serve as a mid-point finale of this fic. Admittedly ending on a painful cliffhanger but wrapping up most of the arcs I introduced in the earlier chapters while setting up the rest of the fic to really be about the relationship between Bennett and Fischl.
In the beginning I have promised myself to not work on any other writing project until I am done with EiFaL wanting to be some goody-two-shoes writer who didn't have a million WIPs rotting away in my google drive. But that mindset is currently doing more harm than help.
I want to make it absolutely clear that I not abandoning this fic, I am just taking a break from writing it. I have so many other things I want to write and work on, so many things that I want to share to the world that are being hindered by the toxic promise I made to myself to finish this before anything else.
I'm also taking a break to reevaluate myself as writer and the way I post my work. In case you didn't know Chapters 1 & 4 have received major rewrites and Chapter 2 received a minor rewrite and all other chapters have had minor clean-ups and polishing. This is because I constantly see improvements I can make to the language and storytelling I use in my work. While it is an overall good thing, it comes at the cost of asking my readers (you) to re-read earlier chapters just to make sense of the newer ones (yes the rewrites do affect the story in a noticeable way) and risks confusion if you are unable to read the rewritten chapters. ...so what are my plans?
Change of Pace
Moving forward, there will be an overall slower but more consistent pace with how I will release my works. Currently, I post chapters as soon as they are done, if there are errors or things that need to change, then I do so after a chapter has been posted which is why rewrites have been a big problem. In the future, I will no longer be releasing chapters as soon as they are done and instead wait until I have a few chapters completed and reviewed before I post them all in intervals. This way, you guys will get more consistent content without me being pressured into immediate begin work on a chapter I've just finished one.
----------
And that's about all I have to say to you all. Once again, thank you so much for all the love and support you have given Etched in Fire and Lightning. I truly never expected that I'd be writing something like this. It's been a long and inconsistent journey for both me and you but I hope you stick around while I write the ending this story deserves.
Until the next story,
Vaeryn

Fandom: Genshin Impact Pairing: Kuki Shinobu/Shikanoin Heizou Summary: Heizou is detective and Shinobu is a lawyer in modern Teyvat. They were childhood friends, separated by different paths. When they come together again, Shinobu realizes that some things are never truly over. A Tears of Themis AU Ao3 Link
Shinobu had long since considered herself as having grown up. She’d moved away from the shrine village of the mountain a few years ago, defying her parents’ hopes for her dreams and future to move to Liyue to study the art of law under the finest experts in all of Teyvat. It was there that she had learned so much more than just the law.
She’d learned how to cook and keep house, but she also had learned how to exist with herself, how to learn a new set of skills, and how to market herself as an independent woman.
By the time she’d returned to Inazuma, she could hardly recognize the girl she’d once been. Of course, she didn’t go back to her village—instead she had gone to Inazuma City, to work for the Themis Law Firm there. She kept an apartment in the heart of the City of Eternity, and had made a name for herself. Kuki Shinobu, the lawyer who could take on nearly any case, the personal protege of the legendary Deng Yanfei. She ignored the calls from home, the voice messages begging her to come back now that she had her education and her fun.
When would they figure out that this wasn’t about fun, or some hedonistic impulse?
She would never come back to her hometown. She’d left her childhood behind, all memories under the pinkish glow of the sakura blooms and turquoise-blue moonlight.
But Shinobu never expected a piece of her childhood to come back to her, to come bursting into her independent life in the city.
It started with a case at Shimura’s restaurant, a class-action lawsuit by a group of businessmen who claimed to be poisoned by the pesticide used in the building. One of his waitresses, a young woman— who he had been supporting to go to the university, as he had so many students before—- had requested Shinobu’s aid in trying to fight the lawsuit.
“I know he isn’t careless,” she’d told Shinobu while wringing her hands. “I just know that someone’s framed him!”
Shinobu didn’t like the idea of letting an old man lose everything like that. So of course, she took the case and agreed to help Shimura. When she came to investigate and figure out if they had a case, she knew that the waitress had also hired a detective to help her.
But when the detective came through the door, she wasn’t expecting to see none other than her childhood best friend.
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Kiki Shinobu.” His mint green eyes surveyed her a moment before they met her own violet ones. “Fancy seeing you here.”
“Hello, Heizou.” Shinobu placed a hand on her hip. “So you did become a detective after all.”
He’d laughed. “Took a while, but I got there eventually.”
The way he looked at her, Shinobu knew he wasn’t just talking about the detective job.
Of course, after their initial investigation, Shinobu insisted on going out to dinner with him. They could catch up, as old friends. As the sun set over the hills, they spoke about what they’d been up to in the last few years.
Heizou had been the first to leave their small town on top of Mount Narukami. Too clever for her own good and brighter than the midday sun, he burned for glory, so of course he’d graduated a year early. He’d gotten a full ride to the university on Watatsumi Island, pursuing forensic science, a good and sensible career. Everyone was proud, excited for him.
Shinobu was too, although she remembered that last rainy afternoon before he left for good.
“It’s not like I’ll be gone forever,” he’d promised her then. “You can’t get rid of me that easily. Besides, with your talents, you’ll be there with me in another year.”
He was right, in a way. Perhaps growing up on Mount Narukami had given him the gift of prophecy in hanging around the shrine all the time.
Then again, he hadn’t been entirely right. Shinobu’s life had gone down a completely different path, one that nobody expected. Least of all her.
She’d applied to the university on Watatsumi Island in hopes of joining Heizou. But they’d declined her, for one reason or another. Shinobu wasn’t entirely sure. Not that she could have been sad about it for long. The day after her rejection came in from Watatsumi Island, she’d received a full ride for Liyue Harbor’s most prestigious university and had been put on the track to study law like she’d always dreamed.
She’d applied on a whim, a misplaced sense of having flown too close the sun, for surely it wouldn’t happen?
“And yet it did.” Heizou folded his arms over his chest and leaned back, clearly impressed. “And look at you now.”
“Look at you—you finally became a detective.” Shinobu paused, thinking of the years with no letters, not even so much as a phone call or an email or a text. “What happened, by the way? I thought you were fogging to become a forensic scientist, not a detective.”
A smile played at his lips, but something darker lingered in his eyes. “What can I say? Like you, the plan changed.”
Shinobu narrowed her eyes and said nothing. She knew better, she could read him too well. But she knew there was also no point in pressuring him.
Besides, who knew if their paths would continue to cross?
Naturally, their paths crossed plenty of times after that. More investigations, all linked together by mysterious drugs and chemical substances brought them together. They’d become a team for the cops to call, the most elite detective and lawyer, surely making Inazuma all the safer for it.
They didn’t keep it to work either. It became trips to Homuland Inazuma, a sleep-in at the aquarium. They tried making jade parcels from Liyue, from a cookbook that Shinobu had picked up during her cooking phase in college. Going to escape rooms and doing scavenger hunts together on their weekends off.
She’d surprise him with some new skill she’d picked up in her time away. He’d hint at yet another secret, a new mystery about the years away that he wasn’t ready yet to reveal. She hoped someday he would.
It was on a rainy morning as Shinobu sorted through old photographs sent courtesy of her mother as she listened to Variations on a Theme of Schumann that she had an epiphany. Seeing the green-haired girl who chased after the bold, daring boy in the photos, quietly making sure their misadventures ended in safety, it reminded her of how she had once felt when they were both children.
Some things were never really over, she’d realized. And she had never been over the childhood crush she’d held for Shikanoin Heizou. It was different now that they were both adults, it was something deeper and more complex. But she could recognize the base of it for what it was, the flame that had never gone out, the storm that never ceased.
It was then that she knew how she felt, and she had to tell him. Not over text or phone, no digital form could properly express the ever-dancing lightning inside of her.
Without abandon, she sprinted into the rain.
Others might have feared the rain pelting Shinobu’s skin, the lightning’s arc overhead or the howling winds. But how could Shinobu fear the storm? For that was her and Heizou in their very souls, they were the essence of the storm. An unstoppable force, meant to be together.
She was completely soaked through by the time she showed up outside of Heizou’s door. But she didn’t care.
“I love you,” she said when he opened the door.
She didn’t expect him to take on that disapproving, pitiful look. “We can’t.”
“I don’t care.” She took his face into her hands. “Whatever secrets you have, I don’t care, nothing can change this.”
“I know.” Their faces were almost touching. His tone was filled with a reverent admiration, like watching lightning touch the ocean and light up the waves. “Nothing can stop the great Kuki Shinobu.”
“So just let me in,” she whispered, even though she didn’t know why.
“I love you too.” That was as much of an answer as Shinobu needed to lean in for the kiss.
There would be time for discussions, for dark secrets, for a history to be unearthed. But for now, there was this, the electricity and the course of the wind. All else could wait.
