Marc - same as for Jorge, I think he already had a sm manager at that point so just a pretty generic post / caption (but very nice / respectful)

Casey - ALSJEKSLSLSKKWKW ok a masterful neg is apparently Casey’s calling card im screaming. “Riding a motogp bike at his size is astounding, trust me it’s not easy!” marge simpson meme ‘it’s true…but do you have to say it’ like CASEEEEEEYYYYYY he’s RETIRING stop w the WAR CRIMES 😭 I like his posts the second best tho bc they’re always v from the heart…it’s just that his heart is like 50% gold, 50% raw spite he’s suppressing w all he has in him

Vale - absolutely nothingggggg 😌 unbothered as hell. posted a bunch abt the academy boiz this year & the following which makes it even funnier to me that he didn’t put up anything for Jorge or Dani

Jorge - like an incredibly sweet and personal and slightly messy caption that made me embarrassingly emoshhh to read 🥲 “in case many don’t remember, three times World Champion” GAH.

(also bonus fact just bc idk who / where / why I’d ever share it otherwise but Jorge does v sweet birthday posts for his mom almost every year and never has posted his dad once that I’ve seen so HA sometimes you DO break the cycle and heal!!!! who’s doing it like him fr)

I tried to scroll back on twitter for jorge's but eventually I realised I couldn't be bothered. saw plenty in the mean time that gave me psychic damage. so again the only one of these I've actually located is the casey one

see "at his size" IS fairly innocuous phrasing and casey DOES deserve a little benefit of the doubt... except I can also imagine the tone he would have said this in, so. maybe not. perhaps he sounds a bit like this. "at his size" "considering" brother I promise you that you can pay him compliments without adding what sounds suspiciously like qualifications. or take this from his autobiography --

-- the word "still" doing a lot of work here. or even his 2010 line about how dani was basically useless if he crashed twice in a weekend. now, look, I DO think casey is genuine when he talks about his respect for dani, I just also think he simply cannot help himself. he's just so used to being the best at what he does and so unencumbered by little concerns like 'tact' that he can end up coming across as wonderfully condescending. but y'know, it's sweet enough

I've already expressed my support for valentino thinking he's too good for posting retirement statements for other riders. as he should. but yeah you can always rely on older jorge to be a wet blanket about dani... god bless our troops
