Since I'm enjoying your asoiaf posts so much, I'll do an asoiaf inspired ask.
Rank the characters: Sansa, Jon, Cersei, Tyrion, and Catelyn
Rank the Targaryens: Daenerys, Good Queen Alysanne, Rhaenyra, Visenya, and Rhaena (only realised after I typed this out that I only chose Targaryen women, lol. The men ain't shit)
D'aww, I am glad you like them.
1. Catelyn - I can't say I have ~deep feelings about her, but out of all five of them she's the one I least want to strangle. High compliment in this verse xDD
2. Tyrion - His chapters are always entartaining and I am fascinated by his mind sometimes
3. Cersei - I always wonder why I feel so indifferent towards her because she has tropes that on paper I should love. Maybe it's because she's completely doomed by the narrative?
4. Jon - Book!Jon>>>>>>Show!Jon, but unfortunately this doesn't say much. He has potential, but he can be very annoying. Not to mention, his fate is clearly tied to Dany's which makes me resent him a bit: Dany is worth a hundred of him lmfao. He better not screw up in the books as he did in the show.
5. Sansa - She wasn't exactly my fave to begin with, but her stans made me haaaaate her.
Now onto the Targs (and you are totally right, Targs men ain't shit)
1. Daenerys - The reason why I love this house. I love the other four women, but she's on a whole other level.
2. Rhaena - I assume you mean Queen Rhaena the Black Bride? I love her. Period. She has such a tragic life, but I love how much focus she got in Fire and Blood (I still haven't really read it LMAO. I mostly have second hand knowledge of it). The fact that she doesn't get more love from fandom is a tragedy.
3. Rhaenyra - Her story pretty much proves how misogynistic people are: GRRM, the fandom etc. And I kinda love her for it? She's the only woman who tried to rule in her own right and *gasp* she was neither a perfect fairy tale queen not the undeniable villain (take a look at Aegon II, Aemond and Daemon before you disagree) and it makes me people so uncomfortable they try their hardest to either villify her or ignore her existence.
4. Alysanne - We are getting to the Fandom Darlings right now which means my interest in them is substantially lower. But the things is: I think Alysanne was a genius. Her story is yet another tragedy and not only for the reasons fandom usually gives, but because she could have been a great ruler and never got the chance to. She only got to whisper her opinions in her husband's ear and pray he would listen. Which is NOT the same thing as ruling. All in all, there are a lot of other Targ women I am intrigued by. The only reason Alysanne doesn't have the last place is bc she has interesting dynamics: with Rhaena, with her kids etc. UO but she screwed over all her daughters except maybe Alyssa and Daenerys - because she died too young.
5. Visenya - Now, here is a woman who was an actual ruler, even if she shared the power with her siblings. Sadly, I find myself utterly bored by her. The fact that she's another Fandom Darling - altough a more reluctant one than Alysanne, does not help matters. I could name 10 other Targs I would love to know more about before sparing a thought to Visenya.
