#there’s no moral weight to fictional incest anyway because thought crimes aren’t real

I do not understand people who think clone/clone shipping as a concept is somehow meaningfully incest. From a purely biological standpoint it’s not like they can reproduce with each other. And like, from a social perspective… by the end there are hundreds of thousands of clones, a lot of these dudes do not even know each other. And then there’s the fact that clones culture is as far from a nuclear family as you can get??
Like, in real life things that make incest harmful include abuse of power and shame and secrecy that both keep people in abusive situations and keep them from forming meaningful and healthy outside relationships.
Largely none of this applies to the clones?? For the most part they don’t have power over each other and the the main thing keeping them from making strong connections to the outside world is the fact that they’re a secret slave army who even when they are allowed out in the universe have no rights!!! Them fucking each other does not come into it.
I guess they are all genetically “related” but not in a family way so much as a large scale human rights violation way. If you clone a guy five times and raise all the clones in a secret isolated lab you get a family. If you clone a guy two million times and raise them all on a secret isolated planet you get a culture.
#I don’t know that OP thinks it’s incest#but I’ve come across plenty of people who think any clone pairing#is inherently incest#and that baffles me#it’s more baffling than the people pearl clutching over ‘batcest’#there’s no moral weight to fictional incest anyway because thought crimes aren’t real#but as someone who’s generally not into it#I’ve never found a clone/clone pairing that honestly even felt like incest
