Sam and Dean Winchester & little sister!reader
Requested by Anonymous
Synopsis: you get kidnapped, and the boys have to find a way to find you
Warnings: hurt feelings, reader gets drugged, kidnapped, and injured (slightly). Panic attack, angst with a happy ending
âDean.â Your voice was thick with sleep as the Impala approached a bar late at night. âWhy arenât we going to the motel?â
âI want to stop in here first,â Dean grumbled. The day of driving had worn him down, and heâd been a bit grumpy for the past few hours. âMaybe weâll find someone who saw something.â
âItâs late,â you complained. âCanât we do that tomorrow? I mean, we already know that itâs probably vampires.â
âIâm not gonna take a chance on that just so you can go to sleep,â Dean snapped. âWe canât ever afford to be stupid with this job, you know that. Stay in the car if you want.â
And Dean was out of the car before Sam could tell him off for being a jerk.
âHeâs just tired,â Sam offered lamely. âWhy donât you come in and get a soda or something, this shouldnât take long,â he added, but he didnât wait for a response as he followed Dean into the bar.
You swallowed a few times to try to lessen the lump in your throat as you climbed out of the car. You wrapped your arms around yourself as the cold air bit into your skin, cursing yourself for even opening your mouth. How could you be selfish like that when people were dying? Hadnât dad and Dean always told you the hunt came first, especially when innocent people were in danger?
âWe canât ever afford to be stupid with this job.â
Dean was rightâyou were stupid, and now Dean thought you cared more about sleep than about being safe for the hunt.
You shuffled your way into the bar, trying to keep yourself from crying while also trying to convince yourself that Dean was just grumpy, and he would forget about your complaining before the night was even out. You didnât want him to think that you were selfish or stupid.
You almost didnât noticed when you entered the bar, except for the fact that you smacked face-first into someoneâs chest.
âS-sorry,â you muttered, feeling worse than ever as you tried to squeeze around the poor person that you had just barreled into.
âNo problem,â a honey-sweet voice tickled your ears as a kind face came into your view. A dark-haired man with a smile just as sweet as his voice was looking down at you. âI like your shirt,â he added.
âOhâŚthanks,â you said, the corners of your mouth twitching into a smile, your gloomy mood lifting just a little. It was your favorite shirt, and any compliment right now helped your low spirits.
âYou look like youâre having a rough night. Can I buy you a drink?â
âOh, umâŚâ your senses were suddenly raised. Who was this guy, and what did he want? You were obviously underage, so whyâŚ
âA soda,â he added quickly, sensing your unease. âIâm sorry, I must seem like kind of a creeper, itâs justâŚitâs not very common to see a kid in hereâin fact, Iâm surprised you got let inâand I want to make sure youâre ok. Are youâŚok?â
You felt yourself relaxing just a bitâthis was just a nice stranger concerned about a kid in a bar. Maybe your hunterâs sense wasnât as good as you thought, and youâd just been nervous for nothing.
âIâm ok. My brothers areâŚaround here somewhere. But Iâd love a soda.â
âGreat!â The man led you through the crowd of drunk adults and to a barstool. âA soda and a beer, please,â he said to the bartender, who glanced at you for a long moment before turning to get the drinks.
The dark haired man passed you your drink when the bartender placed it in front of him, and once you had it you found suddenly that you didnât know what to do or say. You didnât know anything about this guy, and you couldnât really tell him anything about you, so what were you supposed to say? You took a long sip of your drink, trying to make the silence seem comfortable.
âDo your brothers take you to bars often?â The man asked, a hint of humor in his voice trying to mask obvious concern.
âOnly when we go somewhere new,â you said, trying not to lie but also trying not to alarm the man. âI guess they think itâs a good way to meet new people.â You took another long sip, hoping that the man wouldnât start to ask any hard questions. You didnât want to lie to this kind stranger.
But he didnât ask any more questionsâwhich was good, because your exhaustion seemed to be catching up to you again. You found yourself struggling to lift your eyelids, and after a few unintentionally long blinks you began to look around for your brothers. You spotted Dean in a corner, and you were about to slide off your seat and go to him when you remembered what heâd said.
âIâm not gonna take a chance on that just so you can go to sleep.â
You would just have to force yourself to stay awakeâŚ
But for some reason, you couldnât, and the harder you tried the more you felt your whole body starting to sag, drooping down like a melting ice cream cone.
Hands suddenly caught you under your arms as you slipped off your chair, and you vaguely registered that it was the dark haired stranger. You tried to speak, but your mouth was just too numbâit felt like it was stuffed with cotton balls, and even though you got your jaw to open, you couldnât force any sound out.
Between sleepy blinks, your eyes found those of the dark haired man. You couldnât quite tell because of the fog in your mind, but as you finally lost your grip on consciousness you could swear that the eyes that met yours were pitch blackâŚ
âŚ
âSam.â Sam turned to see his older brother behind him, glancing around the bar. âItâs time to go. Whereâs Y/N?â
âShe came in right behind me, I thought she went to find you,â Sam offered as he joined Dean in the glancing search.
âWhat? No I thought she was with you,â Dean replied, looking suddenly more panicked.
âAlright, Iâll check this half, you look over there,â Sam said, trying to ebb his rising fear.
Twenty minutes later, they still couldnât find you. Sam had even sent some woman into the womenâs bathroom to look for you, with no results. Dean got the same lack of you when he went to search the Impala.
âDo you think she ran off?â Dean voiced the concern that had been nagging his mind since the moment he couldnât find you. âIâŚI didnât mean to snap at her like that, really.â
âShe wouldnât have left because of that,â Sam assured him, having thought of the same thing. âYou hurt her, I do know that, but she wouldnât have run.â
Dean cringed at Samâs words.
âI really screwed up, didnât I?â
âKind of,â Sam sighed. âYou can apologize if we find her.â
âWhen we find her,â Dean corrected harshly, hoping that he was right.
âŚ
Pain pounded behind your eyes before you even opened them. Once you did lift your eyelids, it took you several long, panicky seconds before you could even tell the difference between opened and closed.
It was nearly pitch black around you, with only vague shapes making themselves known in the darkness. The floor was rough and scratchy beneath you, and it was cold to the touch when you put your hands down to push yourself up. You only made it halfway to your feet before an unexpected force biting into your wrist held you down, and the shock of it dropped you back to your knees. The rattle of chains accompanied your fall.
âHello?â Your voice echoed off stone walls, tinny and weak. No reply came.
You tugged at the chain on your wrist, and found that it only allowed about a couple feet of clearance, which was why you could barely stand with it attached to the floor.
The weight of your situation hit you at the same time as your memoryâŚ
The manâthe demon!âfrom the bar. He mustâve slipped something into your drink, and now who knew where you were?
âHelp!â You cried out between your sudden panicked gasps of breath. You rubbed at your chest as it began to tighten in fear. âSomebody help me, please!â
Your voice bounced uselessly off the walls, your own desperation mocking you as it reverberated back to your ears.
A harsh scraping preceded a sudden burst of light as a door you hadnât been able to see against the far wall started to open.
âSheâs awake!â The kind voice didnât sound so kind anymore, and the gentle features were twisted into a sickening smirk. âAnd how is our little visitor?â The dark haired demon stepped into your cell, and the light pouring in through the open door allowed you to see his raven black eyes.
âWhere am I?â You demanded. âWhat do you want?â
âBoth of those questions are on a need to know basis, and you donât,â the man responded, chuckling cruelly.
âItâs not gonna work,â you insisted. âIt-it doesnât matter what youâre doing, because my brothersââ
The stinging pain of a strong hand against your face stopped your threats. The man moved so quickly that you had barely even seen him step towards you before heâd swung, slapping you backwards so that the back of your head slammed against the stone wall and your wrist was stopped painfully by the chain around in. You staggered forwards, tasting blood and trying to get the rusted chain to settle at a different part of your wristâone not cut from the abuse it had suffered.
âYou talk too much,â the man growled. âTry to threaten me again, and youâll get a lot worse.â
You didnât speak as the man pulled a cell phone from his back pocket and dialed. After a moment, he spoke.
âHello, Winchesters. Now now, thereâs no need for threats, I just want to chat. I found your little sister, you see, and Iâd like to give her back. However, Iâve hit a problem; you boys have been sniffing around where you shouldnât. Youâre in the wrong town, and I want you to leave. As soon as we know youâre gone, weâll take this little brat of yours and put her on a bus, and sheâll be back to you safe and sound. If notâŚwell, weâll be shipping her in a tiny little box instead.â
You found yourself sinking to your knees as the demon talked to one of your brothers, exhausted from the pounding in your head and weak from fear.
âOh?â The manâs tone suddenly changed, and you found yourself trying to melt into the shadows as you shrunk away from him. âYou want proof, huh?â He pulled the phone away from his face, and suddenly his black eyes were on you. âYour big brothers donât believe that youâre here. How about we fix that?â Almost before you could blink, your arm was twisted behind your back and the demon was yanking you to your feet. He twisted you around and shoved you face-first against the stone wall. The wall was just barely too far away from the chain around your wrist, but the force of the demonâs blow had your wrist twisting at an odd angle against the chain, and it was enough for your nose to crash against the rough stone.
The cry of pain left you before you could even think to stifle it. You could barely hear the muffled protests of your brothers on the phone before the demon put the phone back to his ear and spoke again.
âNow, was that enough or do I need to get some real screams from her?âŚThats what I thought. Be out of town by tonight, orâŚwell, you already know.â
The demon threw the phone against the wall, and it shattered. He was out the door by the time the last broken piece hit the floor, and a moment later the door swung shut and you were once again plunged into darkness.
âŚ
âDid you track it?â Dean asked, waiting with bated breath for his little brotherâs response.
âYes.â Sam took a deep breath. âDean, are you sure about this? Maybe if we leave, sheâll be safer.â
Dean shook his head.
âItâs a demon, Sam. Heâs not going to let her go, heâs gonna kill her. We have to do this, we have to save her.â
âAlright,â Sam sighed. âAlright, letâs go.â He watched Dean for a moment before speaking again. âAre you ok?â
Dean ran a hand over his face.
âThe last thing I said to herââ
âDonât,â Sam snapped. âDonât do that to yourself. Weâre going to find her, and youâre going to apologize to her. Thatâs not gonna be the last thing you said to her, because weâre going to get her back.â
âShe just wanted to go to sleep,â Dean muttered, not listening to Sam. âIf we hadnât gone into that barâif I had just listened to herââ
âDean, stop. Weâre going to save her. I know we will.â
âŚ
You hadnât realized how dark it was, or how much youâd appreciated the light from the open door, until you lost it. Your breaths came up shallow and unsatisfying as you cradled your dislocated wrist to your chest. You curled your knees under you, folding in on yourself as you hyperventilated. You closed your eyes tightly and tried to imagine that your big brothers were hereâlike they were the last time youâd had a panic attack.
You were on a hunt, and a vampire had knocked you to the floor before jumping on top of you and biting into your neck. You shrieked and struggled as the pain flooded your system.
Dean arrived almost immediately, but he couldnât get a clear shot to lob the vampâs head off without risking slicing your throat. He dropped his machete and tried to wrench the vampire away from you, but it was no use until Sam was able to join him and together the two of them tore the vampire away. Once he was off, it took a simple swing from Dean to take care of him.
You were lying on the floor, lifting your head away from the pool of blood that now covered the floor.
âDean,â you whimpered as your breathing shallowed. You gingerly touched your neck, panicking even more when you noticed that the bleeding wouldnât stop. âDean!â You cried out again, terrified as your throat constricted from your panic and your head spun from the blood loss.
âHey, hey.â Deanâs hands were on your face, cradling it gently as his green eyes danced in front of you. âYouâve gotta breathe baby, just breathe.â
âIâve got you.â You felt Samâs arms around your shoulder as he helped you into a more comfortable sitting position and supported you up. âBreathe with me, ok? InâŚoutâŚinâŚâ
With Sam counting off your breaths and Dean repeating. âYouâre ok sweetheart, youâre safe, youâre safe,â you were slowly able to breathe through your panic attack.
But you didnât have Sam or Dean now, and you couldnât seem to grab hold of a single comforting thought as you sobbed and choked over each breath, unable to get air in, and unable to stop panicking about the lack of air.
The sound of the door opening and the blinding light that came with it barely registered as you rocked back and forth on your knees. That is, until you were suddenly yanked to your feet and a pair of black eyes were staring into yours.
âGuess who just didnât leave town,â he taunted, and it was then that you saw the gleaming knife gripped in his hand. âAnd guess whoâs gonna pay for it.â
âYou are.â Your brain had barely registered the sound of your big brotherâs voice before the black-eyed manâs eyes glowed yellow, then dimmed as he slumped to the floor, dead. âHey sweetheart.â Dean stood behind where the demon had just been, blood dripping off the demon blade in his hand.
âDean.â Your breathing had evened a little, but you were still crying as you reached out for your big brother. Your arm was stopped by the chain as Dean stepped over the demonâs body and grabbed hold of your shoulders.
âAre you hurt? Youâre bleeding! Are youââ Deanâs eyes landed on the cuffs, and he quickly pulled out a lock pick and got to work on it. As soon as you were free, you tried to wrap your arms around Dean, but he kept his hands on your shoulders as he surveyed your injuries.
âDean,â you whimpered. âIâm-Iâm so sorry, I didnât know he was a demon, I didnâtââ
âHey, heyâŚâ Dean soothed. âNone of this was your fault, not one bit. Youâre safe now, Iâm gonna get you home.â
âHey kiddo,â Samâs voice in the doorway turned your attention. âOhh youâre safe,â Sam breathed in relief as he pulled you into his arms.
âSammy,â you sobbed as you gripped onto his arm with one hand, holding your injured wrist close to your chest to protect it.
âAre you hurt?â Dean was still tugging at your shoulder, trying to assess your injuries. He stopped his tugging when he heard your whimpers and saw you trying to burrow closer to Sam. âHey, you ok?â
I-I thought heâŚI thought he was gonnaâŚheâŚâ you couldnât seem to voice the fears that flooded your mind and stopped your breath.
âIâve got you.â Samâs arms tightened around you. âNobodyâs gonna hurt you, youâre okâŚyouâre ok.â
âCommere.â Dean wrapped you in his arms when Sam pulled away to make sure no demons were coming. âIâm gonna get you homeâyouâre ok now, I swear.â
Sam and Dean led you out of your cell and out towards the Impala, Deanâs arm wrapped around you the whole way. As soon as you were in the Impala, Dean had your arm in his hand as he inspected your wrist.
âDislocated,â he decided. âIâm gonna have toâŚâ
âJust do it,â you sniffled, shutting your eyes tightly.
âIâll do it,â Sam volunteered, glancing at Dean. The two of them had a psychic moment before Sam took your small wrist delicately in his big hands and Dean crouched in front of you.
âAre you gonna start making stupid jokes?â You asked, already smiling as Dean grinned.
âCâmon now, you love my jokes,â Dean said. âNow, a priest and a demon walk into a barââ
Deanâs goofy grin and cocky attitude already had you giggling when Samâs fingers suddenly stiffened on your wrist and he twisted it into place.
You hissed in pain, cringing.
âI know, I know,â Sam soothed, pulling you into his arms. âI know, youâre ok now.â
âLet me get the rest of you cleaned up,â Dean said, gesturing at the scratches on your face and the blood across your lips and chin from your nose.
Sam pulled away as Dean took a first aid kit out of the trunk. Dean glanced sideways at Sam, who took the cue and slipped into the passengers seat to give you at least the semblance of privacy.
âIâm sorry,â Dean said. âFor what I said to you, how I actedâŚand for letting you get taken.â
âIt wasnât your fault,â you sniffled as Dean rubbed antiseptic against your cuts. âI shouldâve known he was a demon, I shouldâveââ
âNo,â Dean interrupted. âNo, donât do that. I shouldâve been watching out for you, Iââ
âOk, enough!â Sam interrupted, shattering the illusion that he wasnât listening. âIt doesnât matter whose fault it was. Youâre ok now, and thatâs all I care about.â
âI thought you wanted me to apologize,â Dean argued as a smile slowly crept onto his lips. Sam shook his head, unable to fight the lightheartedness that was creeping into the conversation. He chuckledâ
âI wanted you to apologize for being a jerk, you idiot, not to have a fight about whose fault this was.â
You started to laugh, brushing the tears off your cheeks as you smiled. Dean turned to look at you, the grin still etched on his face.
âCommere you,â he said, pulling you back into his arms. âSamâs right, Iâm just glad youâre ok.â
âMe too,â you mumbled into his shoulder as you relaxed in his arms. Sam reached back, ruffling your hair.
âMe three.â

đŽđť đ˛đđ˛ đłđźđż đŽđť đ˛đđ˛ â p.sh
pairing: park sunghoon x fem!reader
genre: revenge, angst, smut, fluff
synopsis: Sunghoon nurtured a profound animosity towards his childhood friend, Lee Heeseung, blaming him for his sister's death. To Sunghoon, his sister was the only person who had genuinely loved him, making Heeseung's perceived betrayal unforgivable. This deep resentment sparked an intense desire for revenge, driving Sunghoon to extreme measures to achieve it. But to what extent would he go to find satisfaction in his vengeance against Lee Heeseung? Would his plans unfold smoothly, or would everything take an unexpected turn, throwing his schemes into something he didnât expect.
word count: 7k
warnings: swearing, kidnapping (kinda), possessive hoon, mentions of death, fake marriage, depression.
an eye for an eye: part 1 - masterlist
The familiar feeling of emptiness flooded his body. Sunghoonâs eyes were lifeless as the they gazed at the coffin where his sisterâs remains lay.
This was the same feeling he had when his fatherâs mistress left him at his biological fatherâs mansion.
He felt the coldness of his father towards him. He felt the hatred of his fatherâs wife. He saw disappointment in his grandparentsâ faces.
He was unloved and unwanted, it was a no brainer.
For a six-year-old child, it was all too much to take. When he was living with his mother, he was treatedlike shit. And when he lived with his father, there was no difference at all. Itâs no wonder why he became wary of people. He wouldnât want to talk to anyone, nor be in the same room as them. He would only go out to eat and return to his room to lock himself up. He even thought back then that his existence was big bad joke.
But one day, a girl with the same dark brown eyes as his went inside his room and forced him to leave the house and drink up some sunshine. He had no other choice but to follow the girl because she would never let go of his hand.
Truth to be told, Sunghoon found the girl irritating, he wanted to hurt her. But when she said that she was his sister and that she would protect him from all evil, he was left speechless. Because for the first time in years, there was a person who wanted to protect him. Her older sisterâs smile made him cry, not because of sadness, but because of happiness.
He let out a hollow laugh. He will never see those smiles of her sister ever again. Those good old times would now be just a mere memory.
He slightly turned his head when he heard someone familiar talking behind him. Sunghoonâs jaw clenched as he stared at the cause of his beloved sisterâs death, Lee Heeseung. His bestfriend and her sisterâs boyfriend.
With heavy feet, he stood up and approached the guy and his father who he was talking to.
âYouâre not welcome here, Lee Heeseung. Leaveâ His voice was hard and heavy.
âPark Sunghoon!â His father reprimanded.
âUncle, can you please give us a minute? Weâre just going to talk.â
âIf you want to explain what happened, then let me tell you that youâre just wasting your time.â He said, blankly, not showing an ounce of emotion to the guy in front of him.
âPlease, Sunghoon, listen to me. I didnât want all of this to happen. I-Iâm sorry.â Heeseung sounded so pathetically contrite, making him want to vomit.
âSo you want me forgive you just like that, Heeseung?â He sarcastically remarked. Heeseung shook his head with a sigh and looked at Sunghoon with pleading eyes once again.
âI know it was partly my fault, and I am also hurting, Sunghoon. You know how much I love your sister, and I wouldnât ask for this to happen.â
âYou wouldnât ask for this to happen?â He sharply retorted what the guy said. âIt was the middle of the fucking night, yet you asked her to go out riding in your stupid car. You asked her to leave even if it was already late. Clearly, you asked for this the happen! You are the reason why my sister is lying there!â He lashed out, pointing at the coffin where her sisterâs lifeless body lie.
âIt was our anniversary! I invited her out because I wanted to surprise her!â Heeseungâs left hand balled into a fist he was sure the right one would do the same if it werenât in a sling due to the accident.
âYeah, and because of that stupid surprise, my sister died.â He saw the look of hurt in his best friendâs eyes, but the pain that he is seeing wasnât enough for him. He wanted to beat the shit out of Heeseung and kill him with his bare hands, but that would be too easy.
âI didnât know that a drunk driver would appear and hit us! If only I knew⌠I-if only I knewâŚâ Heeseungâs eyes reddened with pain.
Sunghoonâs greeted his teeth, turning away. âLeave.â
âSunghoon, pleaseâŚ.â
âJust leave!â he hissed. âLeave and donât ever show your face to me ever again.â He said in a serious tone.
âSunghoon?â He was quick to turn his head towards the source of the voice. There stood Y/n, standing next to Heeseung as she anxiously glanced back and forth between the two. âWhy would you say that to my brother?â
His lips pressed firmly with a stern expression. âBecause his idea of a pleasant surprise is a bad joke.â
That was all he said before returning to his seat. He didnât bother to look at the two again, and he wasnât able to see Y/nâs eyes widen in surprise. He only heard the faint farewells of the two to his father.
Once again, Sunghoon confined in his own lonely world. He feels like he was cursed and happiness was forcefully denied to him. Losing his sister who helped him break free from his dark world was painful.
Losing a friend that he considered a family was painful.
Losing the woman he had learned to love was painful.
In just a snap, he lost the people who gave color to his world.
10 years laterâŚ
The service crew was very attentive, Sunghoon noticed. The place was modern and cozy. He hadnât taste any of the pastries yet, but they looked appetizing. All in all, the bakeshop was pretty impressive. Thereâs no wonder why a lot of people go here.
On the other hand, it was quite a surprise that heâs in the shop. This was the first time he set foot in this place.
He wouldnât bother to come if it werenât for something important, especially since the owner of this bakeshop is the sister of someone he despises.
Yes, he knew you owned this place.
Your town is small enough for him to not know that. So, why the hell would he choose to meet someone in your haven of all places? There was a ninety-nine percent chance of him seeing you there. But what can he do about it?
His âoh so noble fatherâ commanded him to meet with the girl he liked for him. Obviously wanting him to settle down already. And because that he is the only son of his beloved father, he has no right to oppose to it.
He felt his phone rang and he answered.
âYes?â
âHey, Mr. Park.â
Said the girl on the other line. The voice sound forcefully seductive it sounded cheap to his ear.
âMay I know whoâs on the other line?â
Sunghoon asked lazily and almost rolled his eyes.
âThis is Shin Yuna. Iâm the one youâre meeting at the bakery in town.â
His eyes went searching for a woman who was on the phone, probably speaking with him. At the door he saw a woman wearing a tight-fitting yellow dress. The woman had a phone pressed to one ear, her eyes scanning the inside of the shop. Looks like she was the one heâs waiting for.
He ended that call once her eyes landed on him. Evidently, sheâd recognize him. A sensual smile appeared on her bloody red lips and she started walking towards him.
He should feel lucky because the woman was a catch. Her skin was smooth and fair, she had shiny, long hair. And in his opinion, aside from her hourglass figure, the girlâs flawless legs were her best asset, free from any scars.
She was gorgeous all right. But it doesnât have an impact on Sunghoon.
Yuna must be one of those girls who are pretty on the outside, empty in the inside. Beautiful but annoying and boring.
He stood up as the girl approached. He offered his hand but she didnât take it. Instead, she leaned to give him a kiss on his cheek. Okay, he wasnât at all shocked by that.
âNice to meet you Mr. Parkâ she greeted
âThe pleasure is all mine, Miss Shin.â
âPlease, call me Yuna.â She said with a wide almost flirty smile. âThen call me Sunghoon.â He motioned her to the seat in front of him. âPlease, have a seat.â
âThank you, have you ordered anything yetâ she said as she sat.
Sunghoon shook his head. âNot yet, I was waiting for you. And itâs my first time here, I donât know what food to choose.â Her hand rested on his arm and he wasnât born yesterday to not know that she was openly flirting with him.
âOh Really? You should try their famous gyeran-ppang. Itâs a fluffy loaf of bread with a whole egg inside. Itâs really good, I suggest you try it.â
Sunghoon suddenly remembered you, gyeran-ppang was your favorite ever since. Be it sweet of savory. He didnât expect that those two could be brought together.
âIf you liked it, maybe I should try it.â He simply said, trying to push away the memories. Yunaâs eyes sparkled, and he wanted to roll his eyes, but Sunghoon retrained himself. What was an hour of enduring this infront of her, right?
âOkay, Iâll just go to the counter to order, since this is a self-service shop.â Yuna said as he noticed a slight frown on her face. âI hope next time they hire waiters here so customers wonât have to go to the counter to do the job.â
Ah, he knew it.
His assumptions were correct, the girl only visually pleasing. Deep inside, she was a typical rich brat. He found his fatherâs taste in girl quite funny.
âItâs like hitting two birds with one stone. The service would be aster, plus it would provide jobs for jobless people. That way, more customers would go here, and it would reduce the number of unemployed people.â She annoyingly added further.
God help him stop himself from sneering. As if heâd believe that shit. What could this girl possibly know about work and helping other people?
âYeah, youâre right.â He answered dryly. âIâll order, Iâm the guy here and I should be the one treating you and taking care of things.â
She sweetly smiled at him once again. âWhy, thank you, Sunghoon. Iâll have two gyeran-ppang and one iced coffee. And please ask for a fork and knife while youâre at it.â
âAlright.â He gave her a small smile and quickly stood up, immediately walking his way to the counter to escape his date. He wished the serving of their food would last longer, but the workers in the shop were indeed good at what they do. In less than six minutes. He was back at his table with Yuna waiting for him.
âGo ahead and try it.â She urged him to sit down as their order was served. He took a bit of the gyeran-ppang and he instantly knew why it became popular in the area.
âItâs good right?â He simply nodded in response. Yuna then picked up the bread knife and fork that he requested earlier and used them to eat.
âWhy use a fork and knife? Itâs a finger food.â He couldnât help but to ask.
âOh, eating it with my fingers would be a mess, and my lipstick would smudge if I eat it directly.â Sunghoon avoided raising the corners of if his lips.
âI see. Iâm surprised that you eat food like this and have that kind of body.â Yuna let out a shy laugh at his statement.
âIâm very conscious with what I eat, but when I tried this a few weeks ago, I forgot the diet. I even bought boxes of it for the orphanage that we were helping, And the kids loved it too.â
She was trying to impress him by mentioning the word orphanage? Would it be a bad idea to laugh? Or was he being too hard on this girl? After all, what did he know about Yuna? He didnât even bother to make an effort to find out about the girlâs demeanor before coming here. Is her values really worth his time? Sunghoon bit his lip to stop himself from commenting something heâd regret saying later on.
Sunghoon glanced at the entrance of the bakeshop and he swore he felt his heart pounded. A pang of nostalgia when he saw a familiar figure arrive.
You were like an angel minus the wings and the halo. You were wearing a simple with dress that gave you sweet and innocent look. He didnât expect that you would become even more beautiful than you are over the years. Your rosy white skin was flawless, he longed to touch it. Your lips were full and naturally pink. He almost tasted those once and he suddenly had this urge to kiss you.
He sighed forcefully, everything about him was cold earlier but he felt so damn hot in an instant just by seeing you. He wanted to own you, he wanted to make you his.
Sunghoon felt his heart race at he continued to stare at your face, feeling the rush of warmth in his body.
The beautifully scattered moles on your face made you look more unique ang exquisite to him. Back then, Sunghoon thought he could spend the rest of his life just by looking at your lovely face. Your beautifully sculpted brown eyes with thick and long lashes were still bright and full of life. He wanted to lose himself one day while looking at those hypnotic vivid orbs.
You walked you way towards the counter and greeted your staff with a bright smile.
The sunâs heat was nothing compared to the warmth of your smile. You were like the sun, only brighter, with inky black hair shining.
Now thatâs his kind of pretty. You would always be his kind of pretty. Your beauty was ethereal, it was second to none in Sunghoonâs eyes. He mustered all his strength to look away from the person who evoked such emotions from him.
He tried to put his focus on the person in front of him, but his eyes would occasionally wander back to you.
âSo, what are you busy with these days?â He heard Yuna asked him.
âWork, I guess.â He shrugged. âWe export high quality mangoes to our neighboring countries.â
âOh. Yeah, my parents and I visited your mango farm once. And I must say, your place is very refreshing.â
âThank you, how about you? What your work?â He asked to have something to talk about, not because he wanted to know.
Yuna took a sip of her iced coffee before responding.
âIâm an interior designer, I often have famous celebrities as my client.â She said, feeling proud. âYou know that one actor in squid game? He was my last client. Tell you what, his mansion was large, so I was very happy that I got the project.â
He tried his best not to look bored.
What does he care about celebrities? He hadnât even watched this movie that she was talking about. But he needed to endure all this for two reasons. First, he didnât want to be rude no matter how his inner demon wished to be. And second, to distract himself from your presence.
His only problem now is how will he hide himself from the owner of this bakery.
â
âHey, Ning. How are you all doing?â You asked your worker working on the cashier as you entered the counter.
âWeâre doing fine, Y/n. It was a bit of a hassle earlier because there were loads of customers, but it was overall doing alright. I mean, whatâs a little hassle when you can earn profit, right?â Ningning said, smiling widely.
You giggled. âYes, true. Sorry for being late, I wasnât able to help you here. I just had something to take care of back home.â
âNo, Y/n. Itâs all good, youâre the boss here after all. You donât have to worry about a single thing, we got you.â She said reassuringly, smiling softly at you.
âYeah, Y/n. Besides, we know youâre going through something tough right now. How was everything anyway?â Sunoo, your amazing barista, asked. You sighed deeply before answering the young man.
âItâs not settled yet, our ranch is still a mess.â
âOh, Y/n. Donât be down like that, youâre going to get through everything sooner than you think.â You just smiled a Sunooâs statement.
You needed money to rebuild the barn. You needed to hire new workers to manage the ranch. It could all be solved with money, but the problem is you donât have much of it.
Ever since your parents died few years ago, your brother took over the management of the estate.
But what can Heeseung do when half of his life was into car racing? Even you donât know how to run a ranch because your job is making different kinds of delicious bread. Before you and Heeseung could even realize it, the inheritance your parents left you both was slowly falling apart.
And now you and your brother wanted to save the precious land. You would give all the earning from the bakeshop just to make it work, but it was just wasnât enough. You and Heeseung tried going to the banks, but they turned you down every time you tried. Your brother doesnât want your house or land as collateral.
You were thankful for the people working for your shop as they wholeheartedly give you their support.
âThank you for comforting my, guys. Donât worry, if everything settles down, Iâll definitely throw a party.â They all cheered as you smiled.
You went out to fix the displays in the counter. You didnât notice someone passing by, making you bump into them.
âIâm sorry,â You apologized, realizing that you bumped into a woman. She quickly brushed off the area you bumped into and gave you a sharp look.
âNext time, watch where youâre going.â She turned to look at the person next to her and whispered.
âSunghoon, letâs go?â
You felt like you were turned into stone and it looks like Sunghoon felt the same way. It seems like he was frozen in place where he stood, his gaze solely fixed on you.
But it seemed like youâre mistaken because when you looked closely at the man, his face had no expression at all.
He had changed, but not really. He was still the same Sunghoon. Only stronger, leaner, harder, darker, and more attractive. It scared you, he scared you. Yet, you wanted to reach out and talk to him. But to your utter dismay, he just walked past you. And before you knew, he was long gone. Again.
Sunghoon kept telling himself that he was not a stalker, but it had been five days and this was his fifth time your bakeshop. He just couldnât go inside. So for those five days, he contented himself with parking in front of your shop, and watching from inside his car.
When he saw you again, he had a big idea in mind, and yes, that was the reason why he kept going to your bakeshop. Sadly, he would always go home without seeing you.
He couldnât help overhearing the conversation between you and your employees. Their table wasnât that far from the counter so it was inevitable. He was surprised that you didnât notice him right away. But if Sunghoon were to talk about surprising things, what he heard was even more surprising.
It looked like karma found its way to Lee Heeseung. He should be happy about it and somehow, he was.
Heeseung took something from him, someone important, so Sunghoon should take someone important from him too.
A sister for a sister. An eye for an eye.
He glanced at his watch and told himself that this should be the perfect time. He got out of his car and walked straight towards the bakeshop. It was already past eight oâclock, but the bakeshop was still almost full.
He noticed the two service crew he saw last time, staring at him, but they immediately turned their backs on him. He approached them.
âTold you, the person inside the black car that is always parked in front of the shop isnât a bad person. Look at him, heâs too handsome to be a bad person.â He heard the girl he assumed the name was Ningning.
âSeriously? Just because someone isnât physically attractive doesnât mean theyâre a bad person, you know? And not everyone who looks good is automatically good. Youâre being too judgmental.â Sunoo rebuked.
âAnd what thing could he possibly do, huh?â Ningning asked sarcastically.
âHello? Ever heard of the saying âlooks can be deceivingâ?â Sunghoon tried not to smirk. Because their backs were facing him, they werenât able to notice him approaching a while ago.
âExcuse me?â He said, gaining attention from the two. Ningning turned around, her eyes slightly widened.
âYes, Sir? How can we help you?â Despite the surprise, she quickly regained her composure.
Sunghoon gave her a slight smile. âUm, Iâm looking for Y/n. Is she here?â He noticed the two exchanged glances as Ningning seemed a bit hesitant before responding.
âMay I ask whatâs your relation to Miss Y/n, Sir?â
âIâm a friend. Iâd like to have a word with her.â
âMiss Y/n is still in her office.â He saw her co-worker elbowed her, but he didnât pay much attention to it. âIf youâd like, you can have a seat while waiting for her.â
âOkay, Thank you.â He said, walking around the shop to find a comfortable seat. And he couldnât help but to overhear their conversation once again.
âFriend? Then why am I just seeing him now?â
âI donât know. He seems nice to me even though he looks a bit harsh.â
âOh well. Good thing Jake is not here or else he might get jealous.â
For some godforsaken reason, he found his heart tightening at the name he just heard. Who was this Jake guy that might get jealous over him? Is it your Suitor? Boyfriend? Fiance? Sunghoon clenched his jaw. Just imagining another man touching a strand of your inky black hair made him feel sick.
He sat on an empty table near the counter and patiently waited there.
âNingning, Sunoo, Iâm leaving. Will you two be alright staying?â Said the enticing voice near the counter. He glanced over and saw you there.
âCall me whenever something happened, alright? Iâll get going.â
âOh, Y/n! someone is looking for you.â Ningning said before she forgot. Your brows furrowed as you looked Ningning with a puzzled expression.
âWho?â
Sunghoon stood up and spoke. âMe.â He watched your eyes grow wide with shock as he walked towards you. âCan we talk?â
âI⌠Of course.â You absent-mindedly nodded. You pointed at the room where you came from. âLetâs go to my office.â
The air tensed up the moment you both entered your office. You sat on your chair as Sunghoon took the visitorâs chair. His eyes were trained on your face while you were looking down on your lap. No one dared to speak. It was dead quiet inside the room, a silent standstill.
Sunghoon decided not to make rhings more awkward. âItâs been a while Y/n.â Great, you suck at opening conversations, man. He honestly wanted to smack himself.
You looked up and your eyes met. âYeah, it has been a while. How are you?â You slightly smiled at him.
âIâm doing great. You? How are you? I heard your having problems at the ranch.â He paused at what he said. It made him wonder if he was rushing the conversation.
âHow did you know?â You asked hesitantly. âThe town is a small place, Y/n.â She firmly pressed her lips together. For someone sweet and innocent-looking, you could be fiery too.
âYes, thereâs a big problem at the ranch, but it would be solved in no time.â
âReally?â He raised an eyebrow at the intensity he heard in your voice. âAccording to what Iâve heard, you were having troubles finding the money needed to fix things on your ranch. So, I came here to offer a proposal.â He leaned on the chair and watched your confused face. You were always this transparent, itâs likely that you now think heâs going crazy.
âWhat proposal?â You asked with confusion written all over your face.
âI will lend the money you need for the ranch, but you have to marry me.â His simple answer seemed like he was just inviting you to go out ang have a picnic. You looked at him with an unreadable expression before you respond.
âIâm going to what?!â
âYou heard me.â He knew it was unnecessary because she could always reach him if she wanted to. But Sunghoon still took a business card from his wallet and placed it on the table.
âI want you to think about it. Call me whenever you made up your mind.â
You stood up from your seat and looked at him with hard eyes. âIf youâre just playing around like you used to do, just leave, Sunghoon. Donât waste my time.â
He also stood up to remind you of the significant height difference you both had.
âIâm not fooling around, Y/n. Iâm dead serious.â
âThen why? Why would you want to marry me?â You asked, still stunned be his offer.
âFor revenge, I guess? Iâll lend your dear brother the money to help with the recovery of your ranch. But after that, you will cut ties with him. You canât meet him nor even talk to him.â He took a deep breath before letting out the next heavy words.
âHe took my sister from me, I will take you away from him. Itâs my kind of revenge.â
âYouâre crazy.â
âOh, yeah?â He smirked but once again quickly turned serious. âWhose fault is that?â
âWhy would you think would I agree to that?â You tilted you chin up, trying to defy him. Too bad, it was futile. The corner of his mouth went up again. âBecause youâve got no other option.â
âYouâre insane.â
âCrazy? Insane? Well, maybe you could come up with something more colorful after this.â He grabbed your nape and captured you sinfully pink lips. The table wasnât able to hinder him from giving you something that would shake your world.
â
Your heart was pounding as you proceeded to enter your house. You still couldnât believe what just happened thirty minutes ago. The Sunghoon whom you secretly love, and the friend who suddenly left you and your brother returned to shake up your world once again.
One slap wasnât enough for what he did to you. And he has the audacity to be the one walking out after his recklessness.
You touched your lips. Until now, you still feel the young manâs kiss and the warmth of his lips brushing against yours. It was a shocking first time and definitely a memorable one. But despite all that, you felt butterflies in your stomach.
You took a deep breath before walking to the kitchen to get something to drink. But on your way, your gaze drifted towards the study room. The room was slightly ajar. You approached and entered.
You saw your brother sitting on the swivel chair with his eyes closed. He looks beat and tired and it pained you. If thereâs only something you could do to help solve this problem, you had already done it.
Then it hit you. You could do something to help you dear brother and fix the problem. Only, there was a price to pay.
It has already been ten years since Sunghoonâs sister died. Maybe itâs time for you to do something to make him forgive your brother and move on. Maybe you could at least give him a bit of happiness, maybe you could do something to bring him back to his old self.
You glanced at your brother. Please, trust me on this.
It would be hard, you knew. But you needed to do something to save them all.
âWeâre here,â Sunghoon announced. âNervous?â
You looked out the car window and surveyed the grand mansion that would become your new home. Your heart was racing, and you felt like your heartbeat was at one hundred and seventy bars per minute. You felt nauseous, your hands were badly sweating and you were having a hard time breathing.
No, you werenât nervous. You were having an anxiety attack.
Sunghoon unbuckled your seatbelt before holding your face with both hands, waiting for to look into his eyes. His eyes were dark and sensual. Nope, it didnât help you calm down a bit.
âAre you okay? You look pale.â He asked with concern in his voice. He felt your forehead and neck as if checking if you had a fever.
You felt electricity ran through your body because of his touch. Feeling as if you were burning, you pulled away from him and averted your gaze somewhere else.
âIâm fine. Itâs just that, this was all so sudden.â You noticed his expression darken from the corner of your eyes.
âThen get used to it because youâre my wife starting today.â
Before you could even respond, he already exited the car and opened the passenger side door for you. He took the duffle bag containing a few pieces of your clothes. He then held your hand as you both walked towards the mansion.
âDonât be so stiff, Y/n. Thereâs no way I would hurt you, you know?â
You knew Sunghoon was telling the truth, but it wasnât enough to calm you down. He wouldnât hurt you, he said. Still, he had the power to, especially now that you were married.
It all happened so fast. Just last week you were still a Lee, and you still couldnât believe that you are now Mrs. Park.
After that night, you went to your bakery and called Sunghoon the next morning. And a week later, you were now married. No entourage, reception or whatsoever.
After the civil wedding with the judge that Sunghoon knew, you went straight to the mansion, you didnât even manage to say goodbye to your brother who was currently not in korea.
At the mansionâs door, you were both greeted by Aunt Chul, the house keeper. Sunghoon and his sister had nannies when they were children, but they remained closest to the woman.
âDear!â Aunt Chul greeted you as she gave you a warm hug, then gently held your face as she pulled away.
âHow are you? It has been so long and you grew beautifully, Dear.â
Despite everything, you were able to put a happy and genuine smile on your face. âThank you, Auntie. Iâm doing great, and you?â
âOh, Iâm not getting any younger, dear! I think I can count the remaining black hairs I have left.â The woman joked, laughing slightly.
âYou still look great, Auntie.â You smiled at her, shaking you head slightly.
âYouâre still the same old playful one, arenât you?â she teased. âNow come get inside, I prepared you both something to eat.â
She turned to Sunghoon and looked at him. âLet me take that bag, son.â
âOh, no. We can handle this, Auntie. Thank you.â He said embracing the elderly person.
âMy wife and I are just going to have a talk before we eat.â You froze when you heard him say the word âwifeâ. Yes, thereâs no mistaking it. You really are Park Sunghoonâs wife.
When you glanced at the woman, thereâs not a trace of surprise marred her serene face, which puzzled you.
âAlright, you know where to go when you two want to eat.â She smiled softly.
Sunghoon guided you upstairs to the room where youâre staying.
The room was definitely Sunghoon, very neat and manly. The walls were painted white, accommodating the rich hue of the big bed and built-in cabinets. Everything was well placed and clean.
âYou may find my room dull and boring.â He said as he placed your bag on the side of the dresser. âBut you may refurnish it however you like. Have the walls painted, the curtains changed. Just donât put too much pink.â
You blushed at what he said, you were a girl who has a deep obsession with color pink ever since. And it seems like he still remembers that about you. But as much as you wanted to renovate the room and make it appear more your style, you wouldnât do so. You liked the room as it was.
You didnât notice Sunghoon approaching, so you gasped when you felt your husband pulling you by the waist closer to him.
âLetâs talk.â
âY-yes, of course â Sunghoon!â You let out a small scream as the strong man lifted you up, and you had no choice but to wrap your arms around his shoulders.
âSunghoon, what the hell are you doing?â
âI was supposed to carry you over the threshold, but I knew that you would snap at me if Aunt Chul sees us.â He answered with a gorgeous grin on his face. For a minute, he looked like the boy you used to know.
The guy you used to love.
But no matter how handsome the young man appeared to you now, you still couldnât stop the seething the anger in your heart towards him.
âAnd you think I wouldnât do that now? I did that once before, I could do it again.â
âOh, trust me. Iâm more prepared this time.â He said with a twinkle in his eyes. He dropped you onto the bed and hovered above you. You gasped for air when you felt his hard body on top of yours. You were sure that when you entered this room, the AC was on, but for some reason the air became thick and hot and filled with desire.
âI t-thought weâre going to talk?â Your voice was shaky and far different from you challenging voice earlier.
âWe are. Weâll talk like this.â He lowered his head and nestled into your neck. You had never been intimate with any man. This was new to you. Your heart was beating wildly and you afraid Sunghoon would hear it.
You felt so warm, it was as if your bones were melting. It felt good to be this close to him. And he had been hugging you for a while now. He was the only man who could make you feel extreme emotions.
âI told them about us.â You heard him mumble, his hot breath licking your cold neck.
âYou⌠what?â You asked, disoriented.
âI told everyone in this house about us. Even my dad thatâs currently in Japan.â He lifted his head and looked at you as if you as if he wanted to know what you were thinking, if not to absorb your very soul.
âYou told them about our agreement?â
âNo, I only told them that we were getting married. That I couldnât wait about Dadâs arrival. That we saw each other again, and instantly fell in love. So make sure to be a loving wife to me, especially in front of them.â
As if he needed to say it. âOf course. But I hope you donât forget about the other part of the agreement. The money, Sunghoon. I need it.â
âI didnât forget about that. Iâll give it to your brother as soon as I see him.â
âGlad to hear thaââ
Sunghoon slowly lowered his head, your eyes widened. âWait, what are you-â
âYouâre mine, Y/n. Including your body.â He said with his tempting mouth.
You wanted to stop him and tell him to stop what he was doing, but no words came out of your lips. Instead, a sound coming from your stomach halted your husbandâs advances. You didnât know whether to feel embarrassed or thankful. You were saved, not by the bell, but by your tummy.
God! Sunghoon didnât need to smile, amusement was in his eyes.
âMaybe we should eat first.â Sunghoon withdrew from being pressed against you, stood up, and extended his hand towards you.
âCome.â You hesitantly took his hand and stood up as well, feeling quite embarrassed.
âDo you still know the way to the dining room?â He asked as you refused to meet his gaze, just nodding in response.
âDo you mind going there alone? I just needed to call someone. Iâll join you in a few minutes.â
You just nodded again and quickly left the room. Usually, after the wedding comes the honeymoon. Or in your case, funnymoon.
â
The moment youâor rather, his wifeâstepped outside, Sunghoon finally let go of the smile he had been holding back.
Yes, you had become matured and become tough over the past few years, but in many ways, you still hadnât really changed. You were still funny, cute, adorable, and his.
His previously bright face was now replaced by a blank expression. Finally, Heeseung would experience what it was like to lose someone important to him. The only difference is that no one would die.
He wouldnât hurt you, at least, not intentionally ang physically. Never. Heeseung was still lucky that Sunghoon had some semblance of a heart left.
All he wanted was to emotionally torture him. He would make his heart bleed in sorrow, until he would beg him to stop.
And that would start now.
He picked up his phone and dialed a number. On the third ring, the person he was trying to reach answered.
âYes, hello?â
His grip on the device tightened upon hearing the voice of the man he despises.
âHeeseung.â
He could taste the bitterness in his own voice. The man on the other line wasnât able to respond immediately, so he continued.
âI heard youâre not in korea right now.â
âNo, Iâm not. What do you need, Sunghoon?â
He asked directly, without preamble.
Nothing, youâre the one whoâs going to need something from me.
âNothing, really. But if I were you, Iâd go back to korea right now.â
He could already see the furrow on his former friendâs face. Soon he would face his range, but instead of being afraid, he would actually be glad to see it.
âWhat do you mean by that?â
âItâs Y/n. She left your house and sheâs with me now. Too bad you werenât there when she left.â
It was a shame for Sunghoon the he couldnât see firsthand how the person on the other line is reacting.
He bet it would be priceless.
âYou son of a bitch. What did you do to her?!â
He heard the grinding of his interlocutorâs teeth making him chuckle sarcastically.
âYou asshole!â
âYeah, Heeseung. Curse me all you want, but Iâll make sure that you will never get see your sister again. I will make you pay for all the things you did. Prepare yourself because I will take you to the hell you put me through.â
He ended the call. With his hands shaking, he exhaled sharply. He forced himself to calm down before he began to walk out of the room.
Maybe he shouldnât have gone to the dining room just yet. Heâs still feeling the anger coursing through his body, and he didnât want anyone to see him like that, especially you.
But when he saw your beautiful face with a smile plastered on it while chatting with Aunt Chul, the heavy emotions enveloping him suddenly dissipated.
While looking at you glowing face, he lost the bitterness and pain that he had been feeling. Your bright smile simply made the pain go away. He was certain of what he was feeling. About his fear ang pain going away.
He took a deep breath once again ang approached the two, specifically you. He leaned down and kissed you on the forehead, disregarding the watchful eyes of the elderly person nearby.
âWhat are you two talking about?â He asked. Aunt Chul smiled at him and seemed to chat with him like a child.
âI never knew Y/n had a bakeshop in town. If Iâm not mistaken, one of the helpers bought the bread I liked there. Turns out Y/n was the owner.â
He sat beside you and held your hand, giving it a tight squeeze. âYeah, her pastries and sweets are indeed famous in town.â He stated, smiling proudly.
âY/n also told me the she hasnât had a boyfriend. She had suitors, but didnât accept any of them.â The woman gossiped.
âAuntie!â You playfully reprimanded the her.
Sunghoon threw a glance at you. âOh?â
His face lit up, secretly smiling to himself. So it was likely that the guy named Jake whom your employees were referring to was you suitor. He suddenly felt relieved. He glanced at your plate that is still empty.
âYou havenât eaten yet?â He asked you as you shook your head in response.
âNot yet. I was busy chatting with auntie.â
âTell you what, Sunghoon. Your wife was just really waiting for you to come here.â Aunt Chul remarked.
âAlright, Iâll leave you two love birds alone to enjoy your food.â
Once the two of you were left alone, Sunghoon couldnât help but let a smile spread across his face.
âSo, you were waiting for me, huh?â He said teasingly.
âI wasnât waiting for you. The conversation with Auntie just really hit the spot.â
âYeah, sure. Letâs eat.â
They ate in silence. You sat beside him quietly with your head bowed as you eat. You were like some kind of a shy teenager sitting next to her crush.
Sunghoon smiled a little as he remembered their happy memories. You were just like this back then when you two are being teased together. You would blush furiously and he just enjoy the teasing.
âIâll go upstairs to take a shower ang get changed.â You said after he was done eating.
But before you could fully stand up, he pulled you back into the chair and bestowed a gentle kiss on your lips.
âPlease donât tempt me like that.â Your eye widened and your lips parted in surprise. Your face reddened and he couldnât stop himself from grinning. You quickly stood up and rushed away from him.
Well, it was useless since no matter what you do, you were already his. Nothing could ever separate you from him, not even your brother.
Sunghoonâs smile faded, and his eyes grew cold.
You would be forever his, and you had no idea of what the future lies ahead of you.

âA temple of Aphrodite?â You question as you walk through the marbled entrance. The overwhelming smell of roses fills your senses and the honks of swans disappear as you cross into the building.
Morpheus follows closely behind. The drizzle of rain seemingly bounces off his coat and hair leaving him dry like the Sahara. On the other hand, you, the poor human with no otherworldly affiliations, were soaked to the bone. Your light jacket and sundress stuck to your skin until it became itchy and you quickly take off your jacket to dry easier in the momentary shelter.Â
You miss the way Morpheus stares at your exposed shoulders and legs. His eyes run up and down your body, to the way the dress sticks to you like a second skin.
âAphrodite loved Ares, unlike her vowed husband. But such is the game of gods.â Morpheus explains and peels his eyes away from you.Â
You lean on a large pillar that supports a large brazier, one of many others. The heat helps you warm up and the shivers slowly leave your body as it dries your clothes.Â
âSo, Ares is⌠here?â You say without much confidence.
When the fates set you out on this quest to find your brother, you hadnât even packed your lunch yet. They just threw you to the wind and then gave you Morpheus as a guide. As for him, it was so âHe could get out of the house moreâ as his older sister has explained it to you.Â
So, here you were, soaked in summer rain and sharing conversation with Dream of the Endless on a quest to find your kidnapped brother - all of which happened since this morning. The everything bagel and cream cheese you had for breakfast sat uncomfortably in your stomach, the same stomach that was screaming at you to eat something as your journey had left you to skip the midday meal.Â
âAres is behind this gate created by Aphrodite,â Dream sighs as if he were spelling out the obvious. âYes, it is a possibility.â
You simply roll your eyes. For someone who is almost infinitely older than you, he certainly didnât act like it. Feeling warmer and dry you started exploring the temple, running your fingers across the divots in the carved stone much like the climbing ivy that decorated the walls.Â
At the end of the temple stood a magnificent statue of Aphrodite herself, wrapped in cloth and her hair flowing in the wind. Beneath her pedestal, you could make out a rectangular outline made out of large roses.Â
âHey! The door!â You exclaim in excitement. As much as you hate to admit it, Morpheus was right. He usually was right but youâd rather keep that comment to yourself, in case the ego inflates any more of his head and he drifts off. Which, would unfortunately leave you on your own to solve these puzzles.Â
Morpheus appears behind you, peering over your shoulder at the door.Â
âSeems like a hidden mechanism. It would be wise to not touc-â
You press your palm onto the center of the door and it gives away to the pressure of it.Â
âYou fool!â Morpheus seethes out and you tense.Â
It seems like a trap, now that you think about it. With bated breath you wait, slowly inching yourself closer to Morpheus in hopes that the King of Dreams may be able to protect you if something were to go wrong.Â
Yet, nothing.Â
The door slides back into place, the sound of marble against marble scraping against each other in the otherwise completely quiet sanctuary. The quiet atmosphere stays peaceful for a few seconds but ends when a yelp escapes you when the roses suddenly go into full bloom, the petals giving a âflooshâ right in your face, its sweet pollen dusting both of your bodies. You stare wide-eyed at it waiting for anything else to happen. When nothing did, you let out a sigh of relief and turn to Dream with a smile.Â
âSee, nothing to worry about.â You shrug with your palms facing upwards. The two of you stare back as a golden engraving appears on the door.Â
âOne from two, enter together.â You read out loud while trying to dust off the shimmering pollen, sneezing when some enter your nose instead.Â
Great, a riddle but nothing comes to your mind as you think. Morpheus glares at you still and his eyes drift down to the palm that touched the door.Â
âYour hand is glowing,â He states.Â
You look down at your open palm and panic. The skin is bright pink and as Morpheus has stated, glowing. You scream at your hand and shake it aggressively. When the glowing still doesnât reside you scream again and face the palm towards Morpheusâ face and shake it aggressively to grab his attention.Â
âEnough,â He commands and grabs your wrist. The grip is stern but it doesnât hurt and the warmth of his skin calms you down.Â
It is now that you realize that the skin doesnât actually hurt. Thereâs no burning sensation or pins or needles, nothing. Morpheus takes a closer look at your hand and you can feel the exhale of his breath fanning your palm. It tickles and you try to pull away, but his grip doesnât relent.Â
âWhat? Do you see something?â You ask, your other hand is clenched in on itself as a way of grounding yourself.Â
Morpheus doesnât entertain you with an answer and instead brings his face closer. A sound that you didnât know you could produce comes out from your throat as you feel the warm, slick feeling of his tongue on your palm.Â
âWha..mmâ Your words fall short and he licks again and a whimper leaves your lips. You look up at him, his eyes are closed as he inhales deeply.
He brings your hand to his cheek and leans into it. When you release your hand and he lets you, you see that your glowing mark has smeared to his cheek. You come in closer, nervous about marking the Endless but he stops you again. He peers at you, all silver gone from his eyes and instead blown pupils pull you deep into their voids.Â
His hands find themselves around your waist and you place your hands on his chest to stop him from invading any more of your space. It doesnât and he advances still. His brooding act doesnât help with voicing whatever he could possibly be thinking.Â
âHey, whatâs gotten into you,â You release a moan at the end when he presses his nose to the junction of your neck. The hot breath released from his mouth had your lower regions start to grow hot and slick.Â
When his tongue licks the length of your neck, your fingers grasp desperately at the lapels of his jacket, holding on tight as your knee buckle beneath you. Morpheus smelled like grass after a summer thunderstorm and he stood sturdy like an old oak tree.Â
You whisper his name and his grip tightens more, bruising and unforgiving.Â
He groans into your neck. âAphrodisiac.âÂ
Of course, Aphrodisiac, named after the goddess Aphrodite, the very goddess you are trying to please and solve her riddle. The thought crosses your mind momentarily but it is quickly cut short by Morpheusâ continued administration. The pink stain spreads further on Morpheus, anywhere and everywhere you touch him. Your cheek was pink as well, where he touched yours and markings of his tongue glowed pink as he continued his kisses down your neck and across your collarbone.Â
âOh, gods,â You moan into his hair as he dives deeper towards your chest. Your body is turning hot and you canât tell if itâs just the aphrodisiac or the way he is touching you. Perhaps itâs neither, perhaps itâs both. Either way, you canât stop the sounds that escape your lips.Â
He presses forward and you step back until your back hits the pedestal and Morpheusâ large frame follows, trapping you between a rock and a harder place. You can feel his erection pressing against your stomach, hot and heavy and begging to be released.Â
With restraint, Morpheus pulls back and pants into your neck. Your own breath was ragged, your tongue felt heavy when you speak.Â
âPlease,â You whisper, your hands travel down his chest, pink smearing along his black shirt, and cup his erection.Â
He looks at you now, eyes peering into your soul asking you if you really did want this. You nod, not trusting your voice for a second time.Â
âSay it,â He commands again, his forehead pressed against yours. âSay it,â He whispers in a plea.Â
You tip your head up and respond with the strength you have left. âYes,â You murmur against his lips, barely brushing yours with his own.Â
He seals the deal with a kiss and hands once again go to your waist. He grabs you, hoisting you up and your legs immediately wrap themselves around his lean torso. You impatiently grind your heat into his as he dips his hands below your dress line and moves your undergarments to the side.Â
It was rushed, it was sloppy and it was nowhere near romantic, yet youâve never felt so much excitement. No one was near but the peering gaze of the daunting Aphrodite statue made you feel exposed. Morpheus doesnât bother to warm you up for him and the heat of his cock presses against your cunt. He pushes forward and it stings. Tears swell in your eyes at the intrusion, his cock splitting you open as he sets a rhythmic pace.Â
âForgive me, forgive me,â He chants into your ear but the words fly in one ear and out the other. The pleasure the Dream Lord was giving you more important and present in your mind.Â
Your hand reaches into his hair and grabs onto his roots. A groan sings from his throat and you canât help it when your lips connect to his Adamâs apple. You leave bruising kisses along his neck and continuously feel the vibrations of his moans, each one low and gritty.Â
Morpheus felt like he was about to lose his mind if he didnât quickly finish the two of you off. His body felt like it was on fire and his head pounded in his skull with ideologies of fucking you until you were nothing but a pile of pleasure. When your nails grip his shoulders, he welcomes the pain and bites down on your collarbone to suppress his wanton moans.Â
You were too sweet for him, a type of innocence that he didnât want to taint. Tears well up in his eyes as he realizes that he did it without him even knowing. The aphrodisiac completely consumes the two of you. He loved it, the feeling of your legs wrapped around his waist, your grip on his hair, your moans filling the space and echoing around the temple, but were not his to take.Â
âMore, more, more,â You moan, head thrown back towards the ceiling and he couldnât deny you the pleasure.
His thrusts become ferocious, slamming into you harder and harder until you were just a babbling mess in front of him. Your words range from his name to curses to simple pleas. The contractions of your cunt spasming around him make him falter for a moment but he presses on. When your orgasm reaches you, your scream is muffled by his open mouth kiss. His thrusts turn sloppy and uneven before he finishes as well and you feel the way his cock pulses within you. His semen drips out of your spent hole and mixes with your release on the polished marble floor.Â
Your body deflates as the orgasm finishes and youâre left panting and leaning on Morpheus as your thighs tremble around his waist. The door behind you opens with an ungodly scrapping sound and you look behind you. Lust was still evident in your eyes but you were pulled back to the real world again.Â
The aphrodisiac wore off and a blush rose high into your cheeks. You push against Morpheusâ chest not wanting to be in his space, asking him to put you down, but quickly realize that it was a bad idea when your knees buckle and you start to fall.Â
Morpheus grabs onto you to steady you and you murmur a thanks, too embarrassed to look at him in the eyes. The aphrodisiac has made you look at Morpheus in a different light, but there were more important matters at hand. You take one steady breath and readjust your underwear and dress, Morpheus releases his grip on your arms as you go to turn towards the open door.Â
Beyond the door is nothing but darkness with a slight wind blowing out towards you and the smell of metal and leather comes into your nose. Before you can go, Morpheusâ fingers wrap around your arm again.Â
âShould we⌠talk about it?â He asks in that low voice of his.Â
You look back at him, somehow finding the confidence to look at him in the eyes. You find that they are full of adoration and passion that it turns your eyes downwards again. Youâve heard the rumors of what it means to be the lover to Dream of the Endless. It is rainbows and butterflies, the world at the edge of your fingertips, but one wrong move, and you are cast away like you were less than nothing. You think of Nada, Queen of the First People, who is still condemned to Hell for declining his promise to make her queen of the Dreaming.Â
Itâs too much, you have your brother to save, and there is no room to talk about love.Â
âLater,â You say instead. You still need his help and if the promise of âlaterâ keeps him around long enough until the end of your quest, then so be it.Â
âVery well. Later,â He repeats then follows you into the realm of Ares.

Family protection
I missed Alfie during Flufftober, I'm not going to lie, even if it was fun
Thomas Shelby was preoccupied.
No, if he was honest, Thomas was just as terrified and furious at that moment, hurt inside, ready to devastate everything in his path, like every time he was told that a member of his family had been targeted.
It had perhaps been a mistake on his part to believe that it was not necessary to monitor Y/N after her marriage. Solomons' men took care of that.
So, when John had called him in a panic, saying that there were rumors about the kidnapping, or even the murder of their sister, he had at first remained frozen at his desk.
Since Polly had brought her back, this little girl from another mother, also abandoned by their fucking so called father, he had loved her. Maybe even more than the others.
The child was adorable. Shy at first, then smiling, with a crystal-clear laugh, asking for cuddles from her brothers, playing with dolls with her sister, and always wanting to be with them.
Normally, boys didn't accept the presence of girls. Poor Ada knew something about that. But strangely, with Y/N, it was different. Neither he, nor John, nor Arthur, could refuse her anything.
She came with them in the streets, in the countryside, in the trees. There were some limits of course, but he had shown her how to climb, jump, run. How to defend herself, if one strange day they weren't there.
Thomas confided things to her and her only when they were alone. The times he slept in the fields, she came to join him. That was often what pushed him to come home, because he didn't want her to catch her death. She stayed there, glued to him without saying anything, respecting his silence like no other member of his family, and for that, he ended up talking to her.
It was a false secret, that Y/N was his favorite. A secret that didn't bother anyone, since she was everyone's favorite.
So Thomas Shelby was preoccupied, because it was said that something had happened to his little sister, without anyone being able to clearly say what.
"She was in a bookstore." Arthur mumbled. "She goes there several times a month, to get books and read to the kids. They like it, she has a beautiful voice. After the session, she often has tea upstairs with the old owner. Men came in, beat up the employees and customers, before going upstairs. Then there was a fire. We don't know anything else."
"And Mr. Solomons ?"
"Haven't managed to reach him. His little assistant says he's⌠busy."
You'd think the same guys had come to Camden Town to destroy the King's Bakery. Because everything was in a pathetic state, and it was the doing of one man, who shouted orders from his office when he wasn't breaking anything that came his way.
If Thomas was preoccupied, Alfie had lost his mind.
During an important meeting with the Irish, he had let Ollie handle the business, and since the men had to be watched, it was a new kid who answered the phone.
He learned only two hours after his return that a woman had called. Not just any woman, his wife. Who was worried, because there were men in front of the bookstore, whom she didn't know.
She was smart, his wife. His tender Y/N, well raised by the Shelbys. Even if she was normally safe, she remained wary, thinking of looking behind or through the window, knowing all of her husband's employees.
The incompetents who followed her that day had been found with their throats slit in an alley.
Even though his patient was at his limit, Thomas let Alfie finish his tantrum, noting that he had left only the phone and the record player intact, which was playing opera to try to calm him down.
Y/N had disappeared for four hours now. He wouldn't calm down.
"They would have called, huh ? To give their fucking instructions. Or maybe they're scared, they know that my men, the most competent this time, and yours, are all over town, and that as soon as we know who did this, they'll be dead. But⌠If they don't have her⌠Tommy, if they don't have her, if she's in that still smoking pile of ashes⌠I'll burn everything."
"Arthur and John are going to find her."
"Yeah, huh ? You can sense it with your gypsy powers ? Your witch aunt read the cards and saw that my Y/N was healthy ?"
"Not now, Alfie."
Solomons growled, turning his office chair in anger and slamming it against the floor until it was all crumbs. It was only because it was his wife's family that he was acceptinf Thomas' presence.
And for his part, even though he wanted to blow his head off for not protecting his sister properly, Tommy sat there smoking his cigarette, remembering how it had felt to hold Grace in his arms.
When the phone rang, he stared at it for a moment, before looking at Alfie, frozen in the middle of the room, staring at the wall. He wondered if he hadn't heard, before realizing that the wandering Jew was afraid to answer.
It might have been the famous ransom demand, which would teach them that a lot of harm had been done to Y/N, and much more would come if they didn't do what the kidnappers wanted.
It might also have been the coroner, who had finished putting names on the bodies following the fire.
Slowly, Thomas put down his cigarette, before answering.
"⌠Tommy ?"
"⌠Y/N ?"
"Give me that !" ordered Alfie who immediately came back to life, snatching the phone from him before finding a softer voice. "Treacle ? Love ? Are you okay ? Where are you ?"
It turned out that despite the lack of practice, taking young Y/N into the woods to teach her how to climb, jump, play tightrope walkers and hide, had been a good thing.
Realizing that something was happening and since her husband was not reachable, she had climbed through the upstairs window on the courtyard side, hoisting herself up onto the roof, until she found a secluded spot to climb down.
Then, not knowing who to trust, she had stayed hidden until nightfall, to go to the closest and safest place from her position, which was her sister's house.
"Faster, Ismael !"
Thomas could have muttered that it would be better to get to Ada's alive, but he only clung to the door handle while the driver obeyed Mr. Solomons without worrying about pedestrians or other cars.
It was also useless to stop Alfie from jumping onto the sidewalk, forgetting his cane in the car to go and bang on the door like a madman until someone opened it.
Calm only returned when he laid eyes on Y/N, settled in the living room and already surrounded by all the other Shelbys who had been called after them.
"Treacle. Forgive me." he sobbed as he threw himself at her knees, his arms around her and his head against her stomach. "I was so worried, love, I thought I was going to die."
"Oh, Alfie. I'm sorry, I wanted to call you before but I didn't have access to a phone."
"I'm the worst husband. I didn't protect you. If my men weren't dead, I'd slit their throats myself."
"Let's try to talk about something happier." Thomas coughed as he approached, placing a hand on his sister's shoulder who smiled at him. "Did you hurt yourself jumping off the roof ?"
"No, I'm fine. Just a little tired."
"Strange clothes."
"Yes, love. You weren't wearing that this morning."
"Oh, IâŚ" Y/N said, visibly embarrassed. "I may have "borrowed" a disguise. And money. And a car."
"She's our lil sis !" Arthur declared proudly, oblivious to the dark looks from his aunt, sister, brothers, and brother-in-law.
Maybe they had also shown young Y/N how to steal, but only once or twice, for fun, telling her that it was wrong, and that she would never need to do that because they would take care of her.
Alfie mumbled in Hebrew, which made her laugh. Probably insults without malice. He only let go of her to allow the others to kiss her before he took her back to their home, returning worse than a leech at the first opportunity.
When he proposed to add some of his men to Solomons' for her next outings, the king of Candem was at first outraged. He didn't bark only because his wife had already experienced a lot of emotions, but he would not let Thomas humiliate him.
However, in the middle of the night, certainly when Y/N was sleeping, Solomons contacted him.
"How many men, and what price ?"
"I'm the one who feels insulted now, Alfie. She's my sister, that will be the necessary number and for nothing at all."
"Hmm⌠You know, they all have something to say about you, your siblings. All of them, while you take care of them. I know it, I see it, but they are never happy. But not Y/N. No, my treacle has nothing but compliments for her big brothers, and you the first. Tommy this, Tommy that. She adores you."
"I adore her too."
"Hmm. Not as much as me, and so there will be fewer men than mine, but⌠I accept the offer."
"Glad we almost agree on something, Mr. Solomons."
He did not sleep that night, because Thomas Shelby was a preoccupied man by nature. By business, by his family, by the future and the past.
But as for his favorite little sister, he could have slept peacefully, knowing that her husband was there to ensure her happiness and protection as he had sworn during their marriage.
And if something were to happen, they would join forces, then Thomas would probably kill Alfie to punish him, if the madman didn't kill himself first to join Y/N whom he loved at least as much as her brother loved her.

Pairing: Uma x Reader
Request: Hi !! Can I please have a fluff Uma x reader fic ? Reader is Umaâs longtime girlfriend đ Iâm so excited thereâs an account for descendants fem x reader !!!!! Iâm so excited to read your writing !!
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: I donât think thereâs any.
Note: I started writing this since a few days ago but I kept rewriting it because I didnât feel satisfied with the ending. So this might have a part 2 if my brain wants to work with me again.
You were Malâs twin sister, which meant you had the utmost unfortunate experience of having Maleficent as your mother. You never experienced the motherly love youâve always craved for, so you didnât know what love felt like until you met her.
At a very young age, you found your love in books. Fairytales about princesses and magic were your favorites because theyâll always end up living happily ever after, and you wanted that so badly. But your love for what many other kids claimed, ânerdyâ became the reason you would always find comfort alone in your room instead of doing things a villain should do. Which meant you were a total loner.
You were a disappointment to your mother and as for your twin, you guys had always been close, though being polar opposites. Mal and Jay were the only friends you had and it stayed that way for years until one night.
You had just returned your books back to the library, if you could even call it that, the area was dark and you couldnât see the paths clearly so you stumbled on an unfamiliar alley.
It was full of older kids, most of the kids on the isles were trouble makers but the kids there were the oldest of the bunch and the worst of them all.
âHey! Isnât that Maleficentâs kid?â An older boy shouted out, walking towards you as his gang backed him up. Those kids were pirates, you werenât sure how that worked out since the isles had no open water for them to sail and rob other ships, but you werenât going to question them.
It was ironic that youâre the daughter of one of the most evil villian, yet you could barely make eye contact with people who arenât your sister or Jay, nor fight.
âShouldnât she have purple hair, like her sister? Why is it blue?â An older girl spoke up this time but she was as scary as the rest of them. You stood still as she took a few strands of your hair and examined them.
âWhat should we do with her? Do you reckon itâll be a good idea if we kidnap her and ask for ransom money?â Another boy smirked, his crooked teeth showed as he cracked into laughters like the rest of his crew.
You were terrified for your life as the rest of them surrounded you but then a voice called out.
âHow about you leave her alone, Henry?â
You turned around to see a girl your age but her eyes showed no fear, only confidence and dominance.
âUma, youâre no fun. Imagine all the money weâll get from her mom and donât you hate her sister?â The boy she called Henry shook his head as he placed his dirty hand on your hair and messed it all up.
âHands off or Iâll tell my mom that youâre the one who broke all her tables last week.â The pretty girl clapped back as she glared at the older boy.
Henry sighed in annoyance before gesturing to the rest of his crew to follow him out. âYouâre lucky Ursulaâs your mother.â
Your eyes followed as you watched them kicked everything in their way, probably out of annoyance that they got dominated by a kid 3 years younger than they were.
âThank you.â You muttered, face reddening up when she smiled and nodded. Youâve never seen such a beauty like her before, not like youâve met a lot of girls.
âNo problem, they were annoying me all week anywaysâŚbut hey, whatâs your name? Iâve never seen you around here before.â Uma smiled, her eyes were dark yet it was so sparkly for some reason.
âOh Iâm-â You were about to introduce yourself when your sister and Jay, came out of nowhere.
âYn! We were looking for you everywhere, where have you b-â Mal rushed to your side, face filled with worries but she abruptly stopped mid sentence when she looked at the girl standing beside you. âOh itâs you. Hey Shrimpy~â
Your eyes widened up in shock at your sisterâs reaction to Uma. You knew your sister was a bully in a way, to other kids but it was just shocking to see her like that with your own eyes. Especially to the girl who had just saved you only a few minutes prior.
âWhy are you here with her sis? Youâre going to turn into a shrimp if you stand too close to her.â Malâs grimace turned into a smirk as she pulled you away from where you were.
Umaâs smile turned sour almost immediately after Mal and Jay came. Without saying anything, she gave them both a nasty glare before running away.
âThatâs so not cool, Mal.â You pushed your sister away before heading home on your own, ignoring the shouts from behind.
After that night, you secretly went out late at night looking for her. You didnât want to look for her when the sun is bright because your sister or Jay might find out. Eventually, you found her sitting alone on a dock.
That night, you gave her the biggest apology for your sisterâs behavior and asked her to be friends. Luckily, she didnât have anything against you and agreed.
That was the day your love story started to blossom. After a year of secretly being friends, Uma she asked you to be her girlfriend and of course you agreed.
But fate separated you both after the 3rd year of your relationship, because you were invited to Auradon. You were ecstatic since all your life youâve always dreamed of getting out of the isles, and you might have a chance of having a happily ever after like those fairytales youâve enjoyed so much. But will you actually ever find one if your lover wonât be there with you?
When you told Uma that you wonât be going if it meant that youâll never see her again, she got upset that youâre throwing away your dream, just for her. She didnât want you to sacrifice your happiness like that, so ultimately you agreed but with a promise that youâll try everything in your power to see her again.
Your life on Auradon was great, the people were nice, the food was spectacular, and it was a breath of fresh air and eventually you started to forget the life you left behind.
âYn, can we talk?â Your older sister rushed to your side as you were lying against a big oak tree, trying to read a book.
There were a few decent books back in the isles but it couldnât compare to the ones Auradon had. After arriving at Auradon Prep, youâve gain a lot of friends but got close to Jane the fastest after she discovered your love for books and introduced you to a few of her favorites.
âOh, sure! Whatâs up?â You smiled before patting on the grass next to you, gesturing her to sit there. Pulling your attention away from the book, you noticed Malâs sullen expression and you knew all too well what it meant. âSpill.â
Mal sighed before the look on her face turned on into a slight frown. âIâve just had a disagreement with the other VKs and Ben. They just donât get me. And I tried to find you first but I swear youâre everywhere yet nowhere at the same time.â
You chuckled, patting her shoulder before asking. âYou know I canât stay still. Well then, what did you talk to them about? It canât be that bad right?â
âNo, but itâs justâŚâ Mal stopped for a moment while her eyes drifted off to the distance, to where the isles were.
âOkay, I think I get what youâre thinking of. You want to head back and they donât?â Mal was a hard person to read, but luckily you were her twin who could read her like an open book. Even without the spells.
âYes! I just miss beingâŚbad, no rules, no people throwing microphones into your face and asking invasive questions. I just miss being me, you get it right?â Of course you understood her, you could see it from miles away.
You saw how she had been dealing with her new title as Benâs girlfriend and soon the future Queen of Auradon. It was a lot of responsibility being thrown on her, you knew she would break soon enough.
âI get it, I do miss beating up nasty old men, stealing candies, and...â the thoughts of your girlfriend flooded all over your head. âHerâŚâ you whispered.
âAnd?â Mal looked at you, confused. Youâve never told any one of your friends, even Mal about the relationship between you and Uma. Mal hated Uma and the feelings were mutual with Uma, they hated each otherâs guts and honesty it was hard hiding the fact that you were dating the girl your sister used to bully.
You blinked, getting caught off guard before faking a cough. âUmm, nothing!â
Mal nodded but you knew she was still a bit suspicious but chose to let it go anyways. âI think, Iâm going to go back.â Mal claimed confidently as she abruptly stood up. Not even a second later, she looked at you back with vulnerable eyes. âShould I? I donât think Iâll be coming back and I donât want to leave if youâre all going to be mad at me for doing so. Especially you, youâre my twin and your words means the most to me.â
You sighed, following her action. âMal, .youâre my sister and as your sister, I say you should do whatever the hell you want. No matter what, and no matter what we will always be sisters.â you wrapped your arms around her shoulders. âYou canât get rid of me that easily.â
âThanks, I really needed that. Do you want to come with me, maybe?â Mal chuckled before punching you jokingly.
Your breath hitched, immediately thinking of Uma. You did promise that youâll find a way to see her again.
âThanks Mal, but I do need to return these books back to Jane first. You go a head and Iâll find you there after Iâm done.â You smiled before pointing to the piles of books that laid next to you. âIâll know where to find you.â
âGot it.â Mal nodded. âTalk to the others for me okay? They donât know Iâm leaving, at least not yet.â
âOf course, you can always count on me.â
When you arrived at your shared dorm with Evie and Mal, a freaked out Evie rushed to your side. âYn! There you are!â She exclaimed, pulling you inside before handing over a note. âDid you know about this?â
You looked at Malâs goodbye note before looking back at your best friend. âOf course, she talked to me right before she left.â
âAnd you didnât stop her?!â Evie gasped, pulling you to sit down on your bed.
âNope.â You replied casually before popping a few gummies into your mouth. Your table always had sweets in stock for you to munch on. Youâve never had any sugar before but after arriving at Auradon, youâve never gone a day without them.
âIâm planning to go too, now if youâll excuse me.â you muttered before walking past Evie to grab a notebook which you had written down all the useful spells on. Honestly, you were cursing yourself for not thinking of a way to meet her until now.
âWait what?â Evie asked in shock before blocking your way as you were about to head out. âWell you canât leave, not alone anyways. We need to tell Ben about this, heâll know how to get her back.â Evie said before pulling you with her.
âSlow down Evie! Sheâs just giving little old home a visit and if she decides to stay there then, well we canât do much about it!â Your voice echoed across the halls but went unheard as Evie dragged you into Benâs office.
The next thing you know, you were pulled into the Limo with Carlos and Jay sitting beside you. The ride to the isles wasnât too long, but you were nervous extremely nervous yet excited at the same time. You havenât seen her in 6 months, what if she found someone else while youâre away?
Your worries never washed away, even when you bumped into Gil after landing. He was the only person in the world who knows about your relationship with Uma. How he knew didnât happen on person.
During your second year anniversary, you and Uma had sneaked out to go on a date late at night on top of the roof of your schoolâs building. It was sweet and romantic but then Gil for some odd reason was there and walked in on you two making out. He swore not to tell anyone and luckily he kept his words.
âBen, before you go in and talk to herâŚyou need to prepare yourself for the worse outcome, alright?â You called out to Ben right before he walked up the stairs. He frowned slightly but nodded anyways.
âThis is what Mal needs, no offense youâre great and I love you for her but sometimes she just needs to get back to figure things out with this side of hersâŚalright you can go now I wonât stall any longer.â You patted his shoulder before pushing him slightly.
âThanks Yn, and donât worry. Whatever Mal decides, Iâll respect it.â Ben said before rushing up the flights of stairs.
You nodded and looked back at your other best friends who all shared the same nervous looks. Not too long after, Ben came down looking devastated and ran off into the darkness. You knew that he would get lost being all by himself so you left the VKs and followed after him.
âBen?â You called out but got left with no response, you swore he was just there a minute ago. âBen, buddy. Is that you?â You asked once you saw a figure walking up to you.
The alleyway was dark since there were barely any light source so it was hard to identify who it was. Not too long after, you found yourself losing consciousness.
You woke up to the sound of people yelling and running around your surroundings. âHey, Yn! Wake up!â you felt a hand nudged yours and suddenly you were finally aware of where you were. Umaâs territory.
âBen!? Is that you? Why am I tied up? Why are we tied up? What the hell is going on?â You whispered back, squirming as you tried your hardest to get the ropes to loosen up. Of course it didnât but it was worth a try.
âI talked to Uma whoâs like the captain here, I really messed up by forgetting about the other kids who didnât get pickedâ Ben replied, deeply regretful for forgetting his main goal for the future of Auradon and the kids who were punished because of the faults of their parents. âIt was my goal to bring every kid to Auradon. But then I got so busy with being a King that I had forgotten about all the innocent lives out here.â
âWait Uma was here? Never mind, donât blame yourself. You are an amazing person and King, weâre all forever grateful that you gave us a chance to figure out who we are. And it wasnât your fault for forgetting, youâre still a kid who became King and suddenly got handled all the responsibilities.â You had always thought of Ben like a brother and he was amazing.
Ben was different than all the other royals, he didnât have to care but he did by bringing 5 villian kids to Auradon and giving them a chance.
Everyone was outraged, but Ben didnât care. He wanted change, and itâs starting to happen slowly but surely. âYou can always make your goal happen, itâs never too late for anything.â
âI promise the first thing Iâll do when we get back to Auradon is find a way to get more kids out of here.â Ben said in determination. After exploring the island for a while, he could see how terrible the conditions were.
âI know you will.â you replied before everything went quiet. All the pirates stopped at their places and you could hear someone untying Ben and before you knew it, Harry walked past you with Ben being pushed towards the plank.
âBoo!â Someone whispered in your ear, scaring the living soul out of you. Then you heard a laugh, the voice of the only person youâve ever loved. Uma.
âHey baby, did you miss me?â Uma smirked as she moved to stand right in from of you. Her hand held up next to your face as she teasingly pinched your cheek. She had always adored the way your cheeks reddened up whenever she did that.
âDo I?â You teased back, enjoying how she acted annoyed whenever you played with her but you knew that she secretly loved it. âKidding, of course I do! Now can you please untie me?â
âI kind of like it when youâre tied up though, that way you canât go anywhere else.â Uma replied back jokingly but you could see it in her eyes that there was some truth in that. Ever since you guys became a couple, you had never gone a day without seeing each other at least once. And ever since you got sent to Auradon, you have been apart for longer than 6 months.
âUma, I really wish I could bring you to Auradon with me.â You said sincerely as she untied you from the pole.
Uma stopped for a moment, looking at you with a smile before leaning in. Her hands trialed from your neck to your face before pulling you in for a much needed kiss. Even after kissing her so many times, the same spark and fluttery feeing from the first one will always reappear.
The way she looked at you, the way she touched your lips, the way it made you feel like you were floating, it was everything. She was everything.
âI know, but donât worry. Youâll be able to bring me with you after Mal gives me the fairy godmotherâs wand.â
You looked at her in confusion. Uma and Mal were clearly not on good terms so why would your sister willingly do that. âWhat are you saying?â
Your question was left unanswered as Uma broke eye contact, her smile turning into a mischievous grin after seeing visitors stepping in her territory.
You were confused by her sudden change of demeanor before looking the same way she was heading to, Mal and your friends were there.
You knew that it would not end well, at all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Youâve got to say, you didnât plan on getting kidnapped when you dcided to visit Mikeâs wife to try to express your feelings about the situation. Mike, Marcus and Mikeâs son, Armando were wanted men, with none other than your own sister on their case. Youâd seen the news and how frantic your sister was about catching the three.
âIâve got to do this, (Name). This is the man that killed father, I swear, I will make him pay.â Sheâd told you before she grabbed her gun, stuffed it in its holster and scurried out of the door.
Now, the situation is getting serious, and you felt awful that there was nothing you could do to help, so you did the next best thingâ extend your condolences to Mikeâs wife and hope for no hard feelingsâŚ
That obviously did not go as planned, because now, you and Christine are being held captive, about to be transported Cuba, according to what you overheard in a conversation between a man and another one, who seemed to be their leader of sorts. You decided to take the silent approach. Not wanting to say anything that could potentially piss these people off. Though it seemed Christine had a few questions for your captors.
âWhat happened to your hand?â She articulated.
The man seemed stunned for a moment, probably surprised a kidnapping victim wanted to make small talk with the kidnappers. You kept your head down.
The man lifted his hand and looked at what she was talking about. He was missing fingernails. âThey call that a Columbian manicure,â He began, âWhatâs so great about it is itâs the maximum amount of pain, but you donât die.â
âSo now youâve decided to be the one holding the pliers.â Christine declared. You didnât know what her plan was, or if she had one at all. But you stuck with the âif I canât see them, they canât see meâ method, and kept your eyes glued to the ground.
The man leaned in close to Christine, and you felt the urge to push him away from her, but decided against it, âEverybody breaks,â he said, âEveryone. Your husband, theyâre gonna kneel down in front of me and beg for your lives. And then youâre gonna watch me kill him.â
âYou havenât met my husband,â She said in a meek tone. You knew she was trying to be strong but you could hear in the way that her voice cracked that she was scared. Maybe not for herself right now, but for her husband.
âWell, not officially but, I look forward to seeing him again.â He ominously said. You get chills everytime something comes out of his mouth.
You could only hope that Mr. Lowrey shows up soon. You arenât sure how much time you two have left.
You struggle a bit, but not achieving much as the burly man secures his grip on your two arms, making sure you donât go anywhere he doesnât want you to. You and the man follow behind the one holding on to Christine. Today is the day that the two of you are transported to Cuba.
You spot a plane that was docked on the water, and a man in a suit that stood outside of it. You all walked down the stairs toward him. Looking up and around, you spot many different types of weapons your kidnappers are sporting, machine guns, pistols, snipers, and probably more hidden elsewhere. You look to Christine, trying to figure out if she ws planning something to try to escape but it seemed she was just as unsure as you were, not putting up any kind of fight.
For some odd reason, the group that you were being held in stops on a bridge, just a little ways away from the man in the suit. You look around, trying to make out what coul be the hold up. Maybe they were having sudden change in heart, and they were going to let you two go? (Wishful thinking, you know.)
You watch as the man holding onto Christine slowly follows something he mustâve spotted in the water, and as you look down, you realize you can definitely see something too. But so what? It was probably just a fish or something, why does that warrant such a reaction?
Itâs not until one of the kidnappersâ men was shot that you realized what was happening. Where was an alligator in the water, and it had spotted someone. And whoever it was in the water had killed the man whoâd discovered him. The body dropped into the water and you averted your eyes to not see what happened afterward.
You and Christine were rushed back into the building that you were being held in before, and all you could hear was gunshots flying back and fourth. Was it Mr. Lowrey?
The kidnappers are in somewhat of a panic at the suprise attack, and they separate you and Christine. You try to struggle as much as you can, attempting to run a few times after escaping the grip of the man holding you, but all it got was a punch in the gut, literally.
All of a sudden, a man makes his way up the stairs that you were being held at, gun blazing, and you quickly realize who this man was.
Armando Aretas.
You knew that he was trying to help you right now, but all you could think about was your father. Your sister, and her hatred for the guy saving you. It caused you to not pay attention, and just barely miss the helicopter that smashed through the window behind you. You felt a weight push you out of the way and then land on top of you protectively. Your eyes were wide as they landed on Armando, who used his own body to shield you from the debris, and the eyes of your fathers killer stared at you back.
âListen, Iâm going to need you to trust me,â He said, grabbing you by your shoulders and stabilizing you, making sure you understood what he was saying. After a bit of hesitation, you nodded.
He grabs your hand and starts walking, but doesnât get too far when you run into more of the kidnappers. Spotting someone coming in from his left side, he flings you behind him to take the slice of the knife that wouldâve instead embedded itself into you if he hadnât done that. You realized that despite not even knowing you, this man would be willing to damn near lay down his life to safe you, and regardless of you or your sisters feelings towards Armando, youâd decided in that moment, you would not let him die here.
You stood up from the initial shock, using a nearby banister as support. You see him struggling with a man with a knife, so you put aside your fear and muster up your remaining strength to fight. You rush behind the man, taking advantage of the fact that heâs distracted with Armando.
You wrap your arm around his neck with an iron grip, tighter than the one that was holding you in place before. He seems shocked and confused at the sudden attack from behind, but that played in your favor. You snatched the knife from his hand and stabbed it into his neck, instantly ending him. You silently thanked your sister for teaching you basic self defense and fighting skills after you begged her (it took a lot of begging).
Armando looks at you, bewildered but he doesnât get to breathe for long since more men come rolling in through the open door in front of you. You quickly took action, and Armado stridded behind you.
You still held the bloodied knife in your hand and made quick use of it, stabbing into the leg of one of the men so Armando was able to get the upper hand on him. One of them managed to sneak up behind you, but you saw in your peripheral that he was near you. You grabbed his wrist and twisted around so that you were the one behind him, and quickly took his life. You made sure to grab the pistol that laid in the pool of blood underneath him.
Together, you and Armando made quick work of the men, and made it out with only a few serious injuries. Youâd noticed Armando had a slight limp, so you wrapped his arm around your shoulders and helped him walk away from the room that was overpowered by the stench of blood.
âYou didnât have to help back thereâŚâ He grunted.
âYour welcomeâ You retorted.
You and him reached what seemed like a safe area in the forest nearby, and set him against a tree to rest. You took a seat next to him.
â...Thank you.â You said before turning slightly to look at him, only to realize heâd already been looking at you.
You two sat in a comfortable silence, both unsure what to say to each other, but also not wanting to say anything. The quietness mixed with the sounds of the wilderness was nice.
â...Whereâd you learn to fight like that?â Armando asked suddenly. You were somewhat startled. He didnât seem like the type of person to start small talk.
âMy sister. Had to beg her to.â You chuckled and you caught him express a smirk of sorts.
Just then, you heard a sound from a radio, but it wasnât coming from Armandoâs. You looked to your left to see your sister, and your heart dropped. She fired, and you flinched hard, and so did Armando. You recalled your sisters promise, âI will make him payâ.
You regather yourself and quickly put yourself between your sister and Armando, âNo, no donât!â You say, unsure of how to get your sister to understand. Sheâd been so deadset on finding him, and you were sure she wasnât just going to listen to reason now that heâs sitting, defenseless in front of her. You were sure you only had one option.
You wipped out the gun that youâd taken from the man before, âStop.â You said. You made sure that it was lined up to hit her vest, just in case it really came down to you having to shoot her. You were sure as hell not letting her get to Armando, âListen to me, you donât understandâŚâ
âPut the gun down and get away from him,â She says, keeping her gaze trained on Armando. You could tell she was waiting for an opening, whether you were in the way or not, âI need you to listen to me. I need you to walk slowly toward your right and walk towards me.â
âNot until you put the fucking gun down.â You pleaded, âPlease.â
âI need you to move out of the wayââ
âPut your gun down! He saved me, please!â You say, tears threatening to fall. You moved your finger toward the trigger slowly, ready to shoot should your sister try anything.
Mr. Lowrey comes in from behind her, âJudy, Judy!â
âBack up!â Your sister says, âPut your gun down!â Mr. Lowrey complies and sets his gun on the ground, not wanting to aggrivate her further.
âHe saved my life!â You exclaim again, âPleaseâŚâ You canât stop the tears at this point. Theyâre freely flowing. You couldnât live with yourself knowing the man who rescued you was dead because of something you couldâve prevented.
There is silence filled with nothing but the heavy breathing of your sister.
You watch as she slowly removes her finger from the trigger, so you remove your own as well. She then fully puts down her gun, therefore so do you. You quickly turn your back on her to check on Armando. âAre you okay?â You ask frantically, checking to make sure that your sisters first shot hadnât hit him.
âIâm fine,â he says.
You breathe in and out, and nod your head. âYeah⌠Yeah, okay.â With the comfort of knowing that he hadnât been hit, you turn back to your sister whoâd been watcing your interaction. You dash to her and give her a long awaited hug.
âFuck, I love you but if you ever pull a gun on me again I swearââ You let out a relieved laugh and hug her tighter. Her radio goes off again though, ruining the bittersweet moment.
âHoward, where are you?â The person on the radio asks. She looks to you, as if asking, âWhat do I do?â
You shake your head, and she understand what you mean immediately.
âGo. Before I change my mind.â She says, directing it to Mr. Lowrey and his son.
You turn to them, giving Armando one last goodbye stare before he leaves with his father.

If I had a nickel for everytime I dreamed that Lily was kidnapped and Og!Cale ran looking out for her, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
In the first one, Lily got kidnapped in the Capital and og!Cale instantly started running around, doing detective work but also really in panic. At some point he figured out who could have a hint on Lily's kidnapper, but the person in question was in the castle dungeons. So he went and straight entered in a room where Alberu was having a meeting with other nobles, not caring at all who was there, and asked him to sign a permission.
Og!Cale: *opens the door* Your Highness, sign this! *Slams form on the table*
Alberu, who wasn't expecting a random noble to crash his office: ...
The nobles: *shoked in victorian era* ...
Alberu: how did you got here?
Og!Cale: I flew through the third floor entry. It has my mom's name on it. More important, I'm in a hurry. So could you sign it already?
Alberu, confused as fuck because 'wdym by third floor entry? That's just a window': *reads the paper* permission to visit the dungeons? Why doâ
Og!Cale, too worried to even keep his trash act and also practically a mind reader (not really): My sister was kidnapped and that guy may know where she could be. As I said, I'm in a hurry.
Alberu: That's terrible. *About to sign it* Is there any other way I can help?
Random noble: Excuse me?! Your Highness, this is not according to the protocol. I had to wait for months after my solicitude was sent to have this meeting. Why does he get a special treatment?!
Og!Cale, without paying an eye: Aren't you that Viscount that keeps wasting big sums on gifts for a mistress? *To Alberu* I guess he's asking money "for his territory". I bet he spent all his budget and is trying to hide it from his wife.
The noble: *pales* Thatâ youâ Your Highness, I can explain *faints*
Alberu: *sighs* I'll have someone investigate it. *Signs the form* Is there anything else I need to know?
Og!Cale, already exiting the room with the permission at hand: *tilts head* I've heard that people had been dissapearing in the Southwest region. *Narrows eyes* Huh. It's near the Gyerre territory now that I think about it.
Og!Cale: Anyways, goodbye. *Leaves*
Alberu, absentmindedly: So that's what father meant when he said redheads are "a crazy force of nature that could destroy a little country without force".
Antonio, who happened to be in the meeting: *silently having an existential crisis*
It turned out that the culprit was Og!Cale's past teacher (yes, that guy) who was working with traffickers. He wanted to see whether Og!Cale would resolve his "little game" or he would "lose" (have Lily sold before someone finds them). He also kinda hates her because "he lost his student by her fault" (no, it wasn't her fault. He's just crazy).
Og!Cale found out where Lily was being held and he, along with a pair of knights, went for her. All of them had a fun time beating the creepy bastard.
Then Og!Cale walked to their house carrying Lily on his arms.
In the second one, a monster-like creature broke into Lily's room, took her and flew away. Og!Cale was sitting on his bedroom's window and saw his little sister being taken away by a blurr of mass. He jumped out of the window to follow, of course. Then the knights saw a thing flying over their heads and the young master speedruning after it.
Og!Cale: Come back here!
Hillsman: Young master Cale?!
Og!Cale: What are you doing?! Stop that thing! It has Lily!
Knights: Ah! *Start chasing the thing too*
I don't know what happened next because I woke up.
#original cale henituse#og cale henituse#og!cale henituse#og cale#lily henituse#alberu crossman#alver crossman#btw#you can assume alberu ended up pining for og!cale in the first one#they end up together#og albecale

âYou were definitely one of the lucky ones.â, the doctor exhales as he continues to make notes without looking your way. âA lot of the participants were either injured or experienced something theyâd rather forget.â
Remaining silent, you press your lips together as you nod just wanting this to be over so you can go have a cigarette (and check on Eddie).
âWas there anything that stood out? People you knew or anything like that?â
âUh, no. A group kidnapped me and wanted to use me for leverage. I was rescued and then went back to a compound where I was talking with people till I woke up. I did have memories of my sister still dying. Obviously not in the same way.â
âHuh.â, the doctor hummed as he made notes.Â
âWhat?â
âItâs just interesting to have two participants experience a kidnapping. Another participant said he saved someone from being taken. Did you see Mr. Steve Harrington there?â
âNo, I didnât.â, you growled, annoyed at the manâs stupidity.Â
âOk. Itâs not that outlandish in an environment like that so Iâm not too concerned about it.â
âIf we had seen each other would it be? Something to be concerned about I mean.â
âHmmm⌠not really. It would be interesting to dissect, metaphorically of course. To meet someone youâve only met through this avenue in an alternate reality, I mean, that would be so fascinating.â
âWhat if you saw them in more than one?â
The doctor chuckles as he leans back in his seat.Â
âTheoretically thatâs impossible but, if weâre speaking in theory, to meet the same someone in all different universes including this one? That sounds more metaphysicalâŚlike fate.â
âIf thatâs trueâŚthen it implies my sister was meant to dieâŚno matter what universe we both lived in.â
Your voice comes out barely above a whisper causing the doctor to scan you over as he says your name but you promptly ignore him, rising to your feet as you power walk out of the room.Â
While walking down the hallway, you hear people still sniffling as they continue to regale people with stories of the other universe and how terrified they were about moving forward. You were so focused on the sounds of sobs; you didnât even notice you passed by Steve who leaned out of his bedroom when he noticed you walk by and followed quietly behind you.Â
Eddieâs door was open but when you poked your head inside you realized he was asleep and still looked incredibly pained. As you tiptoed to his bedside, you noticed a little bruise starting to form where the nurse must have given him a shot to help calm him so he could rest. The other boy watches you with amusement as your sad eyes take in the man in front of you before you turn to the wall behind you, tapping your fingers gently against the light illuminated panel, and waiting for only a moment before a small door opens providing you with whatever it is you had purchased.Â
Sitting beside him, you carefully opened the tube you bought, squirting a bit of gel on your palm and rubbing it along his purple wound.
âWhatâs that?â, Steve murmurs as your eyes flick his way. âThat youâre putting on him.â
âHealing gel for bruises.â, you respond while tossing him the bottle so he can see. âThat brand is good at soothing swelling and aches. Definitely needed some of it a time or two.â
When you giggle, he canât help but smile at the sight.
âMay I ask why? Why youâre doing that for him? You justâŚyou seem a bit guarded.â, he clarified when you flashed him an annoyed look.Â
âYeahâŚComes from years of bullshit. PlusâŚhe was right. Iâm terrified to let people in because something always happens. My sister was always there for me through the bad stuff but when I lost her⌠I just thought it was best to keep people at bay.â
âI can understand that.â, he nods, smirking when your quark your eyebrow his way. âJust because Iâm an asshole doesnât mean I donât have feelings.â, Steve laughs. âIâm, um, sorry if Iâve come on to strong with my personality or been rude⌠Itâs just my defense, you know?â
âI can understand that.â, you recite back making both your smiles grow. âI should go back to my room.â
Even as you say your words, your body doesnât move. You know you should leave but something in your gut keeps tugging you towards the sleeping in man in front of you. He was in so much emotional pain and all you wanted to do was make it go away for him.Â
Sighing, you curl up behind Eddieâs back, pressing your face into his shoulder as you wrap your arms around his waist.
***
When the long-haired boy woke up the following morning, he was completely confused when he felt a weight against his body until lifting the blanket and seeing a hand resting lazily against his stomach.Â
As carefully as he could, he rolled over coming face to face with your sleeping frame. He should have been confused or annoyed even that you just crawled into his bed but for reasons he couldnât explain he felt like this was completely normal. Like he had spent the last few years waking up to you already.Â
Eddie wondered if maybe the experiment was leaving imprints him as the memories stayed. In the first universe, he hadnât met you yet but he felt incredibly comfortable with you as that version of himself had already begun hoping for a long future with you by their side. In the second, he and Steve had been with you for a while and even now he could picture some of that Eddieâs memories as if they were his own.Â
Memories of meeting you and being skeptical as his friend insisted on bringing you back home. Taking you out to the field near the high school to practice shooting with you and allowing you to try his sniper rifle which he had conveyed to never let anyone before you do. The immediate fear he felt when you didnât come back and the anger that followed when he found out someone took you.Â
As he reached out to caress your cheek, those protective feelings inside him increased and he wanted nothing more than to keep you safe.Â
The current reality came rushing back as his eyes glanced at the discounted jewelry on his fingers. He was lower class and would always be labeled that way. Whatever class you were didnât matter because even he knew he was at the bottom of the society rung.
After crawling over you out of bed, he quietly covered you back up and headed to the bathroom to get ready for breakfast.Â
***
âHeâs not eating with you?â, you ask as you take a seat in front of Steve and glance towards Eddie who was nibbling on his lunch by the wall.
âUh, no, not today and I kind of understand why. If I saw what he did I would want to keep to myself to.â
âIsâŚare your parentsâŚhow they are in the other realities?â
The man pauses for a moment before his eyes flick up to meet yours.Â
âYeah, they are especially my father. Iâve been conditioned to take over his company since birth.â
âConditioned?â
âYup. Luckily my dad got a boy on his first try with my mom soâŚyay me.â, he sasses making you smirk as you exhale at the heaviness behind his words. âWhat about you? What are your parents like?â
âMy parents and I havenât spoken in a while. I, um, after my sister diedâŚit was like the glue that held us together melted.â
âIâm assuming theyâre assholes then?â
âWhat are we talking about so intensely?â, Eddie asks as he throws his body down next to Steve and continues to eat.Â
âParents.â
âOh thatâs a fun topic.â
âY/N was about to tell me more about hers.â
They both stare at you with wide, focused eyes as they wait for you to go on and on impulse you cross your arms as your wall begins to go up.Â
âUh, yeah, you can say they are assholes. My father is a judge and my mom is a lawyer. Like you said, my great grandfather has the school named after him because he did a lot within congress. Careers of that degree kind of run in the family so IâmâŚnoted as the failureâŚâ
âYouâre not a failure.â, Steve tries to comfort as your eyes become glassy before you hastily blink any tears away.Â
âI also donât believe in my families class system so thatâs a point against me.â
âNot really anything you can do about it though, right sweetheart?â, Eddie sighs. âThe Harringtonâs basically swear by it.â
The other man exhales as his head hangs.
âI was raised to believe that the higher classâŚwere superiorâŚâ
âYeah. To push low level people like me and my uncle aside. Part of the reason our school allowed people like me in was to add to the arrogance of the upper class so they could push us around.â
âI never hurt you, Eddie.â
âPhysically, no.âÂ
At that, Steveâs head jerks towards the boy beside him as anger and shame fills his heart.Â
âIâm sorry, Munson.â
As you watch their exchange, you canât help but feel the pain as well from your seat across from them. This is why you and Kallie hated the class system. From the videos you saw, your great grandfather touted it as a way of motivation and peace.Â
âSo the higher classes feel safer and the lower classes can aspire for greater.â
All it did was cause pain and no one did anything to counter or abolish it. It was so engrained in society that it was just common at this point but no one in the upper class did anything that made them better people. They continually belittled anyone beneath them and made sure to remind them there was no point in âaspiring for greatnessâ because this is where they belonged; under them.
Maybe Kallie could have made a differenceâŚ
âItâs okââ
âItâs not. IâdâŚlike to start overâŚmaybe. If we can.â Steveâs hand hovers in the air as Eddieâs beautiful eyes take in the gesture with a glimmer of hope reflected behind them.Â
âAlright, Harrington.â, the man smirks as he smacks his palm into his and shakes it making you grin their way.
***
The following morning, Steve woke up in chair inside Eddieâs room with you both asleep in the long-haired boyâs bed and him sitting up against the wall while his palm rested on your bicep as your head slept comforting on his lap.Â
You three had spent the evening together getting little tidbits about each other and just getting to know the other more.Â
As you spoke, he couldnât help but study you as your lips moved and your eyes focused as you listened to one of them speak. It was in his nature as an upper-class businessmanâs son. He was taught from an early age to read body language and listen to inflections in words which he always found amusing because his father did none of that.Â
Bill Harrington did everything with selfish motivation and if someone questioned him or seemed to be disloyal, he attacked whether the person was indeed being nefarious or not.Â
In school growing up, Steve was the same but a bit more calculated. He punished people for being weak and quite frankly never even noticed they were always the lower-class student. He should have been more observant and empathetic. He just wanted to belong.Â
Lord knows his parents never made him feel wanted.Â
Steve couldnât help but wonder how he would have treated you had you grown up together. He would like to think he would have been kind but the fact that he wasnât sure broke his heart. Maybe you would have made him want to be a better man.Â
He felt that in the last universe he was in; that strong need to be better. The memories that still lingered had him wanting to continue that philosophy. He desperately wanted to make the world better for you and Eddie but the current version of himself was struggling.
He didnât know how to begin and definitely didnât want to cross a line.Â
Truth of the matter wasâŚhe was scaredâŚ
***
âWhat do you think? Three for three?â, Eddie jokes as you guys head towards the pods for you next session.Â
âIâm not sure. It does comfort me thoughâŚto know you both might be there. I aways get nervous before hand at what we might see.â
âYeah. We understand the feeling.â, Steve sighs under his breath before giving you both a soft smile as you all separate to go to your areas.
âAlright Miss Y/L/N, hereâs your shotâŚgood. And I must insist that when you wake up, please remain in the vessel so we can do our jobs.â
âNo promises.â
The nurse narrows her eyes at you as the door slowly slides closed.Â
âDropping down in 3âŚ2âŚ1âŚâ
#########################
âI will not tolerate this insolence anymore!â, the man screams on the other side of the door causing you and Edwardâs eyes to lock from your places as you continue to listen in.Â
You had known Eddie and Steve since you all were children and it was killing you to hear the latter manâs father scream at him in such a manner.Â
Steven did everything he could to appease his parents including taking a woman he deemed boring to a dinner date in an environment he detested. He went with his dad on business ventures overseas to learn more about a company he did not want to inherit, sending you both long winded letters about how drab the whole affair was and how his father belittled him the entire ship ride back home.Â
All he wanted to do was spend time with his two best friends like he had always done.Â
âYou need to get your act together, son. I wonât be here forever to keep you afloat. You canât make a living running around with the bastard Munson and that whore Y/L/N.â
Your hand reached out to take the boys beside you as he flashed you a small smile and delicately kissed the back of it.Â
âDonât call her that.â, Steven growled. âThey are my friends.â
âPfft. Then explain to me why sheâs been seen with every Duke and Lord in the county?!â
âHer father wants her to settle down and marryââ
âShe needs to! Sheâs way past her prime!â
Eddie snickers as you lift your eyebrows as if to silently agree with your friendâs father.
âAND Edward is a respectable gentlemanââ
âWhose father ISNâT in the prison for thieving jewelry from castles like ours?â
âThat doesnât make him a bastard.â, Steve whispered under his breath causing his father to stomp forward and hit his son hard in the cheek.Â
âItâs too bad you donât have this kind of fight in you when it comes to a work ethic.â
âMaybe itâs because Iâm fighting for something I care about.â, his son spits back before turning and powerwalking out the door running into you both as you lean nonchalantly against the opposite wall. âOh, thatâs inconspicuous.â
You giggle as you run to keep up with him as he continues walking down the hall, your olive-green gown flowing behind you as you do.Â
âAre you alright?â
âIâll survive.â, he replies a bit curtly before pausing at a set of double doors and grabbing your bicep. âWhy donât we skip this affair and spend some time in the library.â
âSteve.â, you smile as you reach up to move some of his loose hair away from his face. âWe all got dressed up to come to your fatherâs idiotic dance. The least we could do is make an appearance.â
âI think she just wants to impress William.â, Eddie teases making you blush as you reach forward and lightly punch his arm making little to no impact against his black suit jacket he looked incredibly handsome in.Â
âLook, your father may be a rude but heâs right.â, you shrug. âIf I donât get married soonââ
Steveâs soft palm extended towards you to cup your face as his thumb slid across your lips to silence you. Touches like this were not abnormal and even you had flirted with the idea of taking your friendship further but shame overtook you when you realized you cared about both men.Â
You could care less about your parentâs approval or how society would view you. They did that already with the many men who tried to court you but you did care about them. Eddie was already demeaned for being ânew moneyâ since his family didnât come from wealth. Add in the fact that he rarely behaved or dressed in a manner they found suitable but all that mattered to you was his kind demeanor and how he always made you smile.Â
Steve was constantly judged by high society because he struggled to follow the âproper etiquetteâ of someone in his status. He just wanted to live his life the way he wanted and you encouraged that. He was incredibly smart and protective which is something you enjoyed on late nights when he would sneak into your room and you two would lay together talking about the future.Â
A relationship with one of them let alone two would bring undo trouble their way and you loved them too much to allow that.Â
âFuck my father, honey. All that matters is that youâre happy.â
Grinning, you loop your arm through his and gesture towards Edward so you can do the same with him.Â
âAs long as Iâm with my two best friends, Iâm happy.â
***
âWhat do you think? Has she finally found the one?â, Eddie asks as he passes his friend the bottle of scotch they stole from one of his fatherâs many offices.Â
âPleaseâŚWilliam Hargrove isnât the kind to settle down butâŚwho knows. Sheâs an amazing woman.â
âYeah she is.â
This was one of Steveâs favorite spots in his large family estate, the garden out back. Since he met you two, he would bring you out by the fountain where you would play games and make him laugh. As you three grew, it because a place to gossip and talk about anything that came to mind. You had made a plan to meet here within one hourâs time so the gentleman could be seen before disappearing but you were late which was making your long-haired friend nervous.Â
âYou donât think something happened right?â
âIâm not sure but if itâs something good I know sheâd kill us for interrupting.â As Steve chuckles, Eddie canât help but force a smile before letting out a long-winded sigh. âI knowâŚâ
âMaybe we should finally tell her how we feelâŚsay somethingâŚâ
âSay what?â, you asked with a happy sounding high pitched tone appearing in front of them.
âWhat took you so long? Talking with William?â
âOh, yes, I was but he is just so intellectually draining.â, you tease, mimicking your voice to sound like Steveâs parents.Â
âYour hair is pulled back differently. Some of the strands are loose.â, Eddie notices as he rises to his feet but at the action however you take a step backward. âWhere did you get that shawl?â
âOh, um, I stole it from Lady Bradberry. Thatâs what she gets for always calling me a harlot.â
As you chuckle, your eyes become glassy as your voice cracks. Both boys take a step forward and once again you back away.Â
âLetâs, uh, letâs get out of here. We can go to my estateââ
âLet us see, Y/N.â
This time when Steve extends his hand out you donât pull away, allowing him to slowly pull down the garment covering your shoulder exposing the slowly forming bruise.
âNo, no.â, you scold as you watch their eyes cloud over in anger. âI took care of it, alright? William wonât be a concern anymore. Edward! Steven! No!â, you hiss as you try to pull on their arms to stop them as they begin stomping towards the castle. âNo! I wonât let you ruin your reputations over me.â
Abruptly, Eddie turns around and cups your face in his palms as his lips passionately press to yours. You had tasted him before on many a lonely night but this felt different in the best possible way.Â
âYou donât seem to understand, my lady. YouâŚmean more to us than any reputationâŚâ
This time you allow them to continue forward, following close behind as they reenter Steveâs home and make a beeline for the study where you had last been. To your surprise, William wasnât far but to his surprise you werenât back to reconsider his offer of becoming his mistress.Â
Steveâs fist flew before any words were exchanged and your breath caught in your throat as you watched the men you cared for defend your honor.Â
âSteven!â, his father shouted as he tried to pull his son off the unlucky man now bleeding on the floor. Friends of the Harringtons and Hargroves ran in to separate everyone but while everyone crowded around the man who had physically hurt you, your best friends backed away to make sure they were front of you, shielding you from everyone.Â
âWhat is wrong with you, you imbecile!â, Mr. Harrington scolded as he pointed his finger towards Steve. âWilliam is set to be married next month to Lady Cunningham. Everyone will be talking about this.â, he gestures towards the manâs bleeding face.Â
âThat filth put his hands on the woman I love.â
Your hopeful eyes widen at his words and to your relief Eddie doesnât flitch or hiss at his friend.Â
They both care about you to.Â
Reaching out, your fingers cling to their formal jackets causing both men to stand up straighter.Â
âIâm DONE with all this nonsense! You are no longer allowed to be friends with those two. End it now.â
âNo.â
âEXCUSE ME!?â
âHe said no.â, Eddie defended. âY/N and I have known your son since we were children and thankfully heâs nothing you or that scum.â, he growls as he gestures towards William.Â
âGet out of my home!â
âWith pleasure.â
At Steveâs final words, they both grab your hands and power walk out the double doors into the garden.Â
***
Your eyes follow them as they maneuver around the Munson bedroom; Steve roughly hurling off his jacket and Eddie doing the same before gathering some supplies in his lavatory.Â
You three had spent many an intimate night here. The first time either of them kissed or touched you was on this floor or in the big comfy bed. You all made a vow that this would never be anything more but never elaborated on why. You knew your reasons butâŚ
âWhy didnât you say anything before? About how you feel?â
Edward smirk salaciously as he kneeled in front of you and placed a cool rag with ice against your now prominent, purple bruise.
âWhy didnât you?â
âBecause of this.â, you gesture towards your other friend who was now facing you both with his hands on his hips. âBecause I didnât want to be the reason you both lost everything.â
âSweetheartâŚâ, Eddie cooed in a soothing tone. âYou ARE everything.â
Smiling, you run your fingers through his hair as your lips tenderly kiss his till you feel a dip in the mattress beside you.Â
âYouâre not aâŚharlot or a whoreâŚâ, Steve conveys, wincing at the negative as if heâs disgusted to even say them. âI remember when we were children, your mother would let me sleep over when my father would scream at me and my own mother. You and Kallie always made me smile.â
As he turns to face you, the other man continues to kiss your neck as he reaches behind your back to unlace your gown.Â
âI canât picture my life with you, Y/N. Iâd give up everything, my name, status, and reputation⌠just to have you here with us.â
Your palm caresses his cheek and in return he tilts down to bring his lips to yours. Soft kisses turn heated as they undress you and then themselves.Â
âWe can go anywhere we want to.â, Eddie breathes into your ear as you lay on your back between them. âWe can take one of the Harringtonâs many, MANY ships and run to someplace new.â
They smile when you giggle as their palms roam your soft skin.Â
âMaybe we can build our own estate where we can be together and happy.â, Steve added as his hand slid between your legs.
âWe can grow our own supplies and I can play my music.âÂ
As the other man speaks his fingers spread open your pussy lips making you moan as he begins to rub circles against your clit. His friend joins him as he guides two of his own into your dripping hole.Â
âOhâŚmyâŚâ
âI can become a businessman and own a shop in town. Maybe you can come work with me and sell things at the counter with that gorgeous smile. Fuck, I love seeing you smile.â
âWouldâŚwould we have anyâŚchildren?â, you ask as you feel that knot steadily building in your tummy.Â
âOf course, sweetheart. Weâd have so many weâd have to build more rooms in our home till itâs as big as a Harrington Castle!â
You and Steve chuckle at your friendâs exclamation; yours more of a pant as both their rhythm hastens.Â
âI love you bothâŚso muchâŚI-I should have said somethingâmmmâbefore butâŚI was scared.â
âWe know, honey. We know.â
âJust like that. Fuck, Iâm coming.â
Both sets of lips attached to your throat as your body trembled and you came undone.Â
âListen to you trying not to scream.â, Steve teased. âYou can here, beautiful.â
You giggle as the other man flips you on to your side and pulls your back to his chest. While kissing your cheek, he lifts your leg in the air and you both groan as he guides his cock into your entrance.Â
âOh god, Y/N.â
âFuck, Eddie. So big.â
His mouth falls open as his humid breath warms your face and his large palm cups one of your breasts. When your hand covers his, you realize his knuckles still have remnants of dry blood.Â
âThank youâmmmâfor protecting me.â
âOf course. Fuckâfuck that self-righteous son of a bitch.â
âYouâre safe with us, honey.â, Steve smiled softly as he leaned forward to capture your lips.Â
âAlways have been. God, you feel so good. Say my name, sweetheart. T-Tell me again you love me.â
âAhhhhâI love you, Edward. Iâve loved you since the moment I met you. Please, make me cum.â Locking your eyes with the man in front of you, your body shakes and you scream Eddieâs name repeatedly as you cum. âPleaseâŚplease⌠cum inside me.â
The long-haired boyâs rhythm falters for a moment before his fingers grip your cheeks forcing you face him.Â
âAre you sure? Weâve neverâŚâ
âIâm sure. I want to have a family with youâŚboth of you.â
âFuckââ, he grunts at your confession as his eyes squeeze shut and he clings to your sweaty form as he pounds his release into your cunt. âH-Hearing you say thatâŚthat you really do want a family with aâŚcommoner like meââ
âYouâre not a commoner, honey. Your uncle worked so hard to get where he is.â
âI love you.â, he whispers and kisses your lips.Â
Grinning, you focus on Steve and circle your arms around his neck as he tugs you under his large frame.Â
âThank you for defending me to.â
You canât help but giggle as he trails kisses from your forehead, down to your nose, and along your cheek to your neck.
âIâll always protect you and defend you. No matter what.â Your eyes roll back as he gradually pushes his length into your slightly sore pussy. âFuckâI love you, Y/N.â
###############
âAnd there she goes. Why do I even bother?â, the nurse sasses as you promptly climb out of the pod and run to your room.
You were having so much trouble catching your breath having been pulled out in the middle of your intimate moment. You could still feel the intense want and need of having Steve inside you but more than anything your current reality was mixing with that one as you started to sob, feeling heartbroken that you didnât hear yourself tell this man again that you loved him.Â
A rough palm grabbed your bicep and turned you around as lips crashed to your own.Â
The second you recognized the taste, you allowed Steve to push your back against the wall as his arms held your waist as close to him as possible.Â
He tastes the same as the other universes. How can that be?
Neither of you willing to separate, you listened to him grunt in your ear as he sloppily pulled down your sweats before tugging at his own enough to free his hard, leaking cock from its confinement.Â
âOh f-fuck.â, you mewled as he stretched your tight pussy open and set an aggressive pace as he slammed his hips into yours.Â
Your fingers threaded through his soft hair as you bit into his shoulder to stifle the continuous moans that wanted to break free especially when he took hold of one of your thighs to wrap around his waist as he hit your g-spot at a much more precise angle.Â
As you opened your eyes, you were met with Eddieâs soft chocolate ones in the doorway and that was enough to allow the coil to snap as you whimpered Steveâs name repeatedly into his ear. At the feeling of your cunt quivering around him, he dropped your leg and quickly pulled out, pumping his cock in his fist till you felt his spend hit your thigh.Â
âI-I love you.â At your words, Steve tilted back to look at your face. âI said it to Eddie again. Y-You said it to me but I didnât get to say it back. I didnât get to say it back. I did the same with Kallie. I didnât say it back and then she died.â
Your arms clung to him tighter as he slid with you to the cold tile floor. A blanket was wrapped around your lower half before you felt another set of strong arms circle around you.Â
âSweetheart, just like that Steve in the other universe, Iâm sure your sister knew you loved her.â, Eddie whispered as he rested his chin on your shoulder.Â
âYou donât know me. You donât know what Iâve done.â, you murmur back.Â
âIn every universe my father hates me including this one. He wants me to be someone Iâm not. Feeling that in every universe so far⌠itâs heartbreaking but I know Iâm ok because of you two.â, Steve sighs and when you pull back he quickly wipes the tear that escaped down his cheek.Â
âIn all of mine my mom is dead and my dad abandons me leaving me with my uncle. IâŚI feel them allâŚall the memories those other versions of me have with my mother being a loving woman and my father being an abusive piece of shit. I feel what I feel for you and Steve; my best friend and the woman I care for. I get overcome with this strong need to protect you.â, Eddie follows as his voice shakes.
âThat has to mean something. If whatever you did in those universes didnât affect us thereâŚâ
âThen it wonât affect us here.â, the metalhead finished.Â
Shaking your head, you push yourself away from them and pull up your sweats as you head for the door.Â
âYouâre safe with us, Y/N.â, Steve called giving you pause. âThatâs been the same in every universe toâŚincluding this one.â

The invinsible princess | Chapter 7
âLike the title of that BeyoncĂŠ song saidâŚâ
Author's note: This is one of my favourite chapters, so I hope you like it as much as I do. And to the anon who sent me the loveliest message ever the other day... I'm still thinking about it, thank you very much đđ
Chapter 6 | Chapter 8
Masterlist
âI can't fucking feel my assâ I say while getting out of the camper van Pedri and I have rented for our road trip.Â
âSofĂa!â he gasps. âThose aren't words for a lady like yourself!â
âOh, I beg for your forgiveness, my lord. Please allow me to rephrase it⌠Blimey!â I gasp, covering my mouth like women did in old movies. âI can't feel my lower back after being sat for the past two hours!â
âMuch better. Thank you, my ladyâ Pedri says, doing a little curtsey.Â
âMy lordâ I reply, doing the same before we both start laughing. Whoever sees us behaving like this at a petrol station, must think we are crazy. âAnyway, can you do me a favour before you start with that?â I ask him, nodding towards the van.
âOf course. What does the lady need?â
âI need to use the bathroom, but I don't want to go alone.â
âWhat?â Pedri laughs.Â
âYeah, I just⌠What if I'm doing my business and someone comes in and catches me there? I don't want to go online and see that a photo of myself sitting on the toilet has gone viral.â
After my first and so far only viral photo, the one with Charles Leclerc a few years ago, I've become a bit less invisible than what I was used to. Most people still pay more attention to my sister Leonor, but Carlos has had to stop paparazzis from taking photos of me and my aunt leaving work together more than once.Â
âOk, fineâ Pedri sighs. âIt is a bit weird to not have Carlos around, isn't it? He usually is the one who does these things.â
âIt is, yes. But it was what we wanted, soâ I shrug.
âI'm sure he still is keeping an eye on us somehowâ Pedri says as we walk towards the back of the petrol station, where the bathroom is. âI can see him glued to his phone, checking the vanâs GPS to make sure we are following the route we shared with himâ he laughs. âHe may have even set some microphones and cameras inside to make sure we are alive.â
âFor his own sake, I hope he hasn't.â
âBecause of what he may have heard last night, for example?â he smirks.Â
âIf you mean your snoring, then yes. But I was talking about you singing while driving.â
âI beg your pardon?âÂ
âLet's just say that becoming a singer isn't a career path you should follow once you retire from football.â
âSo rude, my lady. So rude⌠And we've made it.â
âAren't you going inside?â
âWhat?â Pedri chuckles.
âYeah⌠To make sure there is no one hiding or something.â
âSofĂa, this petrol station isn't like the ones you see in American movies. Here they clean their bathrooms and there isn't a guy hiding behind a door ready to kidnap you and take you to his cabin in the woods.â
âBetter safe than sorryâ I shrug.
âUrgh, fineâ he replies, rolling his eyes and walking into the bathroom. âIt's empty, you can come in.â
âDid you check it properly?â
âYes, I did. There is no one inside, and it is quite clean. Maybe not as much as those golden toilets you have at the palace where you can see your own reflection, but they are ok.â
âIdiotâ I say, giving him a little push and making him laugh. âBut thank you, Pedri.â
âAnything for you, my ladyâ he smiles.
âââââââââââââ
âI think we'll have enough with these snacks until we⌠SofĂa? What are you doing?â
âHave you ever used one of these?â I say, looking at the machines outside the petrol stationâs shop.
âYeah. Who hasn't?â Pedri chuckles. âOh. Sorry. YouâŚâ
âAs a kid we often saw them when we were on holidays, but my mum never allowed Leonor and I to buy anything from them. She said they were just a stupid way to waste your money on useless stuff.â
âI mean, she's not wrong. But we used to have one at the bar in Tenerife, and just seeing the kidsâ faces when the ball comes out of the machine and they open it to see which surprise they've gotten makes it worth it.â
âI guess...â
âHere, take this.â
âWhy are you giving me these coins?â
âThey are the change I got from buying our snacksâ he says, nodding towards the bag in his hand. âYou can use them on the machines.â
âWhat?â
âYou just told me that you've always wanted to give them a go, haven't you? Then do it, SofĂa. You are an adult now, your mum won't scold you for doing itâ he chuckles.
âI⌠I⌠Thank you, Pedriâ I say before wrapping my arms around his neck and hugging him.Â
âThat's okâ he smiles. âC'mon, let's see what they have.â
The first machine is a PokĂŠmon one, and each ball has a different figurine inside it.Â
âWhat is that?âÂ
âPedri, this is Charizard!â
âI'm only familiar with Pikachuâ he shrugs.
âYou⌠seriously?â
âYeah.â
âAnd then I'm the weird one.â
âYou aren't weird, SofĂaâ he says, kissing my cheek before I put another coin on the next machine. This one has just little teddy bears made of rubber. Very ugly teddy bears. âThat smile they painted on him is kind of creepy, isn't it?â Pedri says when I open the ball I got.
âA bit, yesâ I laugh, moving to the next machine. This one has little racing cars, and he is definitely way more excited about it than me. âThis one is for youâ I say, giving him one of the coins.
âFor me?â
âFor youâ I smile. âI know you are dying to do it and see which car you will get.â
âI actually am, yesâ he smiles back.
âBut wait, let me get my phone and film you. I have the feeling this is going to be the cutest thing ever.â
âEverything I do is cute, my ladyâ he winks before crouching down in front of the machine, looking like a kid on Christmas morning when he opens the ball and sees the car inside it. âNow it is my turn to film youâ he says once he has calmed down.Â
âMe?â
âThe last one has jewelry or something like that. And you like your jewels, my ladyâ he smirks.
âI do, yesâ I reply, my hand instinctively moving to my necklace. To the banana charm, the S one, and the new addition: a P one he got me for my birthday last year.
âAnd? What is it?â Pedri asks me when I open the ball.Â
âI think⌠oh.â
âThat actually is quite nice, isn't it? Let me help you put it on.â
âWhat?â I chuckle.
âI have to practice for when it's time for the real oneâ he smirks, taking the ring from my hand and putting the phone on his pocket. Because the surprise on that last ball had been a ring, one that didn't look that bad for just 1âŹ. âThere you go. Perfect.â
âThough not as perfect as youâ I say, wrapping my arms around his neck once again. âThank you very much for this, Pedri.â
âFor putting a ring on your finger?â
âFor everything. From checking the bathroom to see if there was a murderer lurking in the shadows, to buying me my favourite chocolate bar without me asking for it, and for letting me experience this and go home with a very cool ring. The real one is gonna have to be a really cool ring to be better than this oneâ I say with a teasing smile.
âIt isn't gonna be an easy task, no. But I'll do my best. Because for you, my lady⌠For you I would do anything.â
âAww, PedriâŚâ I say, trying to not start crying in the middle of a petrol station. âI love you.â
âI love you too, SofĂaâ he says before kissing me.
âââââââââââââ
âOk, what happened.â
âUh?â
âPedri, you've been dating my sister for years and you know I love you like a brotherâ Leonor says. âBut this is the first time we are having lunch together just the two of us without SofĂa.â
âThen it was time we did it, don't you think?â he shrugs, focusing on his food.
âPedriâŚâ Leonor sighs. âWhat happened? Is everything ok between you two?â
âYeah.â
âThen?â
âThen nothing.â
âPedro!â Leonor says, raising her voice.
âGod, you just sounded like your mum when she gets mad with your dadâ he chuckles.
âOh, this is not me being mad. Me being mad is something you don't want to see, so you better tell me what the hell is going on.â
âIâŚâ he gulps. âI want to propose to SofĂa.â
âNo!â Leonor gasps, making Pedri thank everything for being alone in a private area of the restaurant. Because if they had been surrounded by people, all eyes would be in them after how loud that gasp had been. âYou are going to do it?â
âYeahâ he says, nervously playing with his fork.
âHow? When? Where?â
âI don't know yet. I actually decided it this morning.â
âWhat?â
âYeahâ Pedri says again. âI had just left my therapist's office, and it hit me: I was ready. I am ready to ask SofĂa to marry me and to deal with everything that will come once it is made oficial.â
âWowâ Leonor says. âBut do you think she is ready for it too? To stop being the invisible princess like she always says? Because this engagement is gonna be talked about worldwide. The princess and the football player! The fanfic that becomes a reality!â she chuckles.
âHas she shown you the ring she got during our road trip this summer?â
âThe plastic one she loves so much?â
âThe very same. When I gave it to her I told her it was practice for when I put the real one on her fingerâ Pedri says. âAnd since then, we've been talking a lot more about getting married, about how it will be, what will change, discussed it with our therapist⌠And I think she also is ready, that we both are on the same page.â
âThen it is happening. It's happening!âÂ
âLeonor, what are youâŚâ
âWhat happened?â the queen says over the phone.
âHello to you too, mumâ Leonor replies, rolling her eyes.
âHi, sorry. But what happened? Why are you calling me at lunch time?â
âIs dad with you?â
âHello!â the king says. âWhere are you, Leonor?â
âI'm in Barcelona, visiting SofĂa.â
âOh, is she there? Are you girls out together?â the king asks her.
âI'm out with someone, but not her. Pedri, say helloâ she says, turning her phone so it faces him.
âI⌠Umm⌠Helloâ he says with an awkward smile, hoping her parents can't see that he is blushing. Even though he has known them for years and shared many things with them, sometimes he still goes all shy when he remembers he is talking to the King and Queen of Spain.
âOh, Pedri!â the queen says. âHow are you? Everything ok?â
âYes, perfect. Thank you for asking. And sorry for interrupting your lunch.â
âOh, don't worry about that. What happened?â
âUh?â
âSomething must have happened for Leonor to call us and for you two to be having lunch together without SofĂaâ the queen says.
âWell⌠I⌠Ummâ he mumbles.
âIt's happening, mumâ Leonor says, moving the phone so it is facing her again. âHe's doing it!â
âHe is doing what?â the king asks.Â
âHe is going to ask SofĂa to marry him!â
âNo!â the queen gasps as loudly as Leonor earlier. Maybe even louder. âYou better not be messing with us.â
âIâm not, mum. I swear. Pedri, tell themâ she says, turning her phone again.Â
âI⌠Ummm⌠Yeah. It's trueâ he says. âI want to ask SofĂa to marry me.â
âHe's doing it! He is doing it!â the queen screams.
âI heard you, darlingâ the king chuckles.Â
âOur baby is getting married!â
âFirst she has to say yesâ he chuckles again. âAnd I have to give Pedri my blessing too.â
âOh, pleaseâ she says, rolling her eyes. âYou don't need to do that. It is just a formality, not something you actually have to do, and we live in the 21st century, not the middle ages. Besides, we all know you love him like the son you never had. You are as happy as I am about this. Maybe even more.â
âI am, yesâ he smiles. âAnd even if you don't need it, you have my blessing, Pedri.â
âThank you, sirâ he replies.
âNow, detailsâ the queen says. âHave you chosen a ring? Do you know where you are going to propose? And when? Because we have a trip to South America coming soon andâŚâ
âMum, relaxâ Leonor chuckles.
âSorry, I'm sorry. I am just so happy for them!â
âWe can tell, darlingâ the king says. âBut tell us, Pedri. Have you thought of anything?â
âI have not, noâ he says. âI was hoping that you and Leonor could help me, because I don't know where to start. I mean, I have some ideas about where I could do it, but the ring? She likes jewellery so much and each piece she owns is so different that I don't know what she could like. And maybe there is like some tradition to follow? A ring to pass from one generation to another? I don't know.â
âI think I have an ideaâ the king says.
âYou?â the queen says, arching an eyebrow.
âYes, me. Has she ever told you about her favourite painting?â
âââââââââââââ
âI can't believe you managed to close an entire museum to celebrate our anniversary.â
âPerks of being your grandmother's favouriteâ Pedri winks. âAnd this is your museum too.â
âWhat?â
âReina SofĂa?â
âPedri, this museum was named after my grandmother, not me. We may share the same name, but I've never been and never will be queen.â
âYou are the queen of my heart, thoâ he smirks.
âOh⌠my Godâ I laugh, my voice echoing on the empty corridors. Or almost empty since I know Carlos is keeping an eye on us from somewhere.
âWhat? It is the truthâ Pedri says before making me twirl and pulling me against his body. âHave I told you yet that you look beautiful tonight?â
âYou have, yesâ I say, wrapping my hands around his neck while he starts to slowly rock us from side to side.Â
We are dancing to no music in the middle of a museum, surronded by art and history eveywhere, and it is⌠It is the most romantic thing ever.
âWell, you look so beautiful that I have to say it many times so it is accurate.â
âLike me telling you that I love you many times per day and still not being enough to show how much I love you?â
âExactlyâ he smiles before making me twirl again. âShould we continue with our tour?â
âI like it here.â
âBut I don't like that guy in that painting. It's like he is judging us.â
âIf he can read minds, he probably is judging me.â
âYou? Why? What is that pretty head of yours thinking about?â
âThis pretty headâŚâ I say, moving closer so only he can hear me. âIs thinking about all the things she wants to do to you, and all the things she wants you to do to her once we are alone.â
âOh⌠I see.â
âYepâ I smile. âThough that king should not judge me too much since history books say he had like ten lovers and more than twenty bastards besides the five kids with his wife.â
âReally?â
âI mean, the legitimate kids definitely were five, there are records of it. The lovers and the bastards depend on the historian you ask. But everyone agrees on him not being the most faithful of husbands. He was married to one of the most extraordinary women in our history, and he treated her like shit despite being the one who was keeping the kingdom from falling apart while he was hunting, partying and getting drunk with his friends.â
âYou aren't his biggest fan, are you?â Pedri chuckles.Â
âI am not, no.â
âBut you do like his wife.â
âShe is one of my favourite historical figuresâ I smile. âThere actually is a painting of her here at the museum that is one of my favourites. Do you want to see it?â
âOf courseâ he smiles back. âLead the way, my lady.â
âMy lordâ I giggle when he takes my hand on his and kisses it.
âââââââââââââ
âShe was beautiful.â
âShe was, wasn't she?â I say while Pedri and I look at the painting in front of us. âAnd this is just a painting, so you can imagine how striking she must have been in real life. But she was more than just a pretty face. She was one of the most intelligent women of her time, and like I told you, the country didn't go to hell thanks to her.â
âSo she basically was like you, but you have a faithful husbandâ Pedri winks.
âOh, shut upâ I laugh, giving him a little push. âFirst of all, you aren't my husband.â
âYetâ he smirks.
âAnd second, I've done nothing compared to everything she did.â
âDonât say that, SofĂa. You are helping people daily, making them happy and giving them hope, and I still haven't heard anyone complaining about it. And I'm talking about the people that matter, not the trolls online.â
âYeah, I guessâŚâ I sigh.Â
âAnd if you don't believe me when I tell you that you are alike, just look at all the jewels she's wearing and the ones you are wearing right now. You are only missing the crown!â
âYou know, I may like wearing so many things because of herâ I chuckle.
âHow so?â
âEven though I've always complained about my parents paying more attention to Leonor than me, there was a moment each month where I felt like that wasn't the case, and that was when my dad would bring me here to have something like a date just the two of us. We would visit a different part of the museum each time, but we would always come here and visit her, my dad always telling me something new about her. So I think I like jewellery so much because of all those hours I've spent looking at her and analysing every detail on this painting.â
âSo like people say these days, you were influenced by her.â
âExactlyâ I laugh.
âDo you have a favourite piece of jewellery she wears? Like one you wish you could have and wear every day if it was possible.â
âThat ringâ I say, pointing at it.Â
âWow, that was fastâ Pedri chuckles.
âI've been obsessed with it since the first time I saw it for some reason. But unlike other pieces like the crown or the earrings, that one went missing. Some say she asked to be buried with it since it was a gift from the love of her life. And no, that wasn't the king.â
âSo it was like⌠an engagement ring?â
âSomething like that, yesâ I say. âIt was a ring that symbolised the love she and that man she loved so much had. A true and pure love that would last forever.â
âLike ours, thenâ Pedri smiles, kissing my hand again.
âLike ours, yesâ I smile back.Â
âOne that we should also probably⌠seal, somehow.â
âWhat?â
âSofĂaâŚâ Pedri says, letting go of my hand to pick something that was hiding behind one of the benches on the room. A little box. A⌠wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Is that⌠Is he⌠âWe always joke about me being the cheesy one in our relationship, but the truth is that when I have to actually be like that and put into words what I feel for you⌠What you make me feel⌠Well, I suckâ he chuckles. âYou actually are the one who has a way with words, the one who can properly express those feelings, not me. So since they say actions are louder than words, that's what I am going to do.â
âPedriâŚâ I whisper as he gets down on one knee. He's doing it. He is actually doing it, he⌠Holy shit.
âSofĂa⌠my ladyâ he says with that smirk that he knows I love, the one I fell in love with the moment I first saw it years ago in Germany. âWould you marry me?â
âPedri!â I gasp when I see the ring inside the little box. âIs that⌠is itâŚâ
âWe didn't desecrate any grave, don't worryâ he chuckles. âThis is a new ring, a copy of that one you love so much.â
âBut I just told you about it! How did youâŚâ
âYour dadâ he smiles. âI didn't know which type of ring you would like because you like different styles, so I asked Leonor and your parents, and he mentioned this ring and this painting you've always been obsessed with.â
âSo coming here tonight was my dad's idea?â
âThat was all me, he just gave me the inspiration I needed. Going to museums has always been one of our favourite things to do together, this one has your name even if it wasn't named after you, it has your favourite painting of one of your favourite people, and the ring was inspired by it, so I thought it was the perfect place to ask you a question you haven't answered yet.â
âUh?â
âI asked you a question, SofĂa. Remember?â
âOh, shit, sorry. Yes.â
âYesâŚâ
âYes, I want to marry you, Pedri.â
âYou do?â
âOf course I do!â I laugh.Â
âGreat, cool⌠Coolâ he chuckles, his hand shaking as he takes the ring from the little box and takes mine.Â
âYou know how to do it, Pedri. You already did it onceâ I tease him, showing him the plastic ring on the other hand.
âI know. But this is the real deal, you know?â
âI know. And I love it.â
âDo you?â he says once the ring is on my finger, his thumb caressing my hand while still holding it.
âI do. I love it almost as much as I love you.â
âAlmost?â
âAlmost, yes. Because it is impossible to love anything more than I love you, Pedri.â
âI love you too, SofĂa. Or should I sayâŚâ he says as he wraps one arm around my waist and leans me back like they do in movies. âFiancĂŠe?â
âYou should⌠fiancĂŠâ I smirk before he kisses me. âDid you hear that noise?â I whisper when we break apart.
âWhat?âÂ
âThere is something⌠Carlos?â I call.
âSorry, ma'am.â
âCarlos, are you crying?â
âI⌠I am, ma'amâ he says, wiping his tears with the sleeve of his jacket. âIt's just⌠you are getting married.â
âI am, yesâ I smile, showing him the ring.Â
âIt's beautiful, ma'am. You look beautiful. Like, you should see your smile right now. It is the most beautiful smile I've ever seen.â
âAww, Carlosâ I say before hugging him and starting to cry too.
âI'm so happy for you, ma'am. For both of youâ he says, awkwardly ending our embrace.Â
âThank you, Carlosâ Pedri smiles. âWe wouldn't be here if it wasn't because of you, you know? If you hadn't allowed SofĂa to leave the Euros partyâŚâ
âYeahâ he chuckles. âThough I almost ruined it all when I heard your friends talking and I thought you were only interested in her because of a bet.â
âI actually think that misunderstanding is the reason why we are hereâ I say.
âWhat?â
âI don't know if without it Pedri would have been brave enough to tell me that he had had a crush on me for yearsâ I say while giving him a teasing smile, his cheeks turning bright red. âHim being so open and honest with me just after we had met, somehow made me trust him and see that he wasn't like the other guys I had dated. That there were no secret intentions. So thank you, Carlos. And we are sorry for everything you've had to see and deal with over the years.â
âIt's ok, ma'am. Just doing my jobâ he smiles. âWould you like to see the photos I've taken?â
âPhotos? What photos?âÂ
âCarlos may have been our personal photographer and videographer during the nightâ Pedri says.
âWhat?â
âI wanted to remember tonight, and basically everyone in your family would kill me if there was no proof of what happenedâ he shrugs.
âThat's⌠true, yes. Thank youâ I say, kissing his cheek. âAnd thank you again, Carlos.â
âMa'amâ he replies, giving me his phone to check everything. From the sneaky photos he's taken of us smiling at each other throughout the museum, kissing or dancing together, to the video of Pedri getting on one knee and asking me to marry him. Because it happend, it was real.Â
Pedri and I are getting married.Â

The light and the dark
Type: series
Part: 2/?
Other parts here
Pairing: Azriel x reader
Summary:What happens when Feyre returns home for the second time, well the first time for Yn.
*3rd person pov*
Feyre sits arguing with Nesta as them, Rhysand, Azriel, Cassian, and Elain sit at the long table when the bang of a door swinging open sounds from downstairs and the yell of the youngest Archeron follows âIâm homeâ Yn stomps into the room with her head down before turning and shrugging off her coat, Feyre notes her sisters gained more muscle, and scars.
âMan this guy he fucking- he fucking clawed at my face man, like a fucking cat.â Yn still hadnât noticed the fae in her room or the fact that Feyre had stood from her seat. âOh um I was planning to uh go out to search for Feyre again tomorrow by the way.â That causes the four fae to freeze. She hadnât known? Finally Yn turns to face the table and Feyre has just enough time to study the jagged talon scar across her face-the one from Tamlin. âFeyre?â Yn lunges at her sister, burying her head in her chest as sheâs pulled just as tight, tears escaping both female eyes.
The girl turned far freezes as her sister pulls away and her hands move curiously to her ears, Rhysand growing more tense and ready to step in if needed, âgods I didnât think you could get more beautiful sister.â A small smile graces Ynâs lips as she continues to study her sister.
âââ
*yns pov*
A small humorless laugh leaves my sister, âI thought youâd hate me. That that was the reason you werenât here the first time I returned?â
I freeze, my body going rigid, âyou-youâve been here before?â My face falls as it dawns on me, âNesta, you lied to me! While I was out searching for my sister she was here? You never.â I shake my head, âI canât believe you. I canât, gods you really are a selfish bitch.â My mouth is open in disbelief pain and hate in my eyes.
âYn. Please calm- calm down.â Feyreâs voice is so soft I barely hear it as she holds my arm, I turn to her and nod and thatâs when I notice them. Iâd been to worked up to notice the three males in the room, two adorning wings-Illyrians as I had read and the other what seems to be a high fae.
I storm to the violet eyed high fae knowing heâs the one that can transform to a beast. âYou bastard! You took her from me!â Before anyone has time to react Iâm on top of the male as he lies on the ground, landing blow after blow to his face. âYou took her! You kidnapped her, what did you do with her? Why-â Something cool carefully pulls me from the male with a soft grip around my waist. As Iâm stood up I notice one of the illyrians-the one with red gems adorning his leathers has his head tipped back in a barking laughter, the other stands, shadows I hadnât noticed before swirling him; thatâs when I notice, the thing that picked me up was a tendril of his shadows. I look down and touch it curiously, it scurries up my face, curling around my ear and caressing my face. A smile graces my lips, âhello little guy.â
âYn. This is Rhysand. He is not the one who kidnapped me, he is the one who saved me. And this is Cassian,â she points to the Illyrian who was laughing, âand that is Azriel,â as heâs addressed, the shadow floats over to him.
I turn to âRhysandâ, blood drips down his nose and split lip. âHow do I know he hasnât threatened you into saying that?â My eyes never leave the male as he smiles.
âI can show you, I can show her memories if she is ok with it of course.â He turns to my sister and she nods, her small smile still there in encouragement.
âFine.â It comes out a strangled sigh before my eyes glaze and Iâm shown everything. Afterward I turn to my sister, seething. âI have at least a dozen names to add to my list of people I shall kill.â Cassian laughs again, and I spin to face him, âdo you have a problem? Is it just you or are all you Illyrian males like this?â
âItâs just him.â Azriel has a small smirk painting his lips, âheâs quite immature.â The male sticks his gloved hand out to me, and I take it as he bows slightly and kisses my star flecked hand. âItâs a pleasure to meet you, Feyre speaks very highly of you.â
âThe pleasures all mine.â We stare at one another longer than what is considered necessary before I clear my throat and back away, âhow do you control the shadows?â
My question seems to catch him by surprise as one of said shadows- as if called comes to twirl around my hand. âIâm whatâs known as a shadowsinger, I donât control them per se, more speak to them, understand their language.â Everyone watches for a moment as the shadow continues to twist around me like a dance, more joining it. âTheyâve never acted like this with anyone. Iâm sorry.â
âNo dont apologize,â my grin is directed to him now, âI think theyâre quite lovely.â
The night goes on as I ignore my two eldest sisters and continue talking with the fae before they must leave with a sad goodbye.

You just woke up and met Law, saying that you're his crew. He gave you medical treatment, some medicine, and food. You thought everything was perfect until you saw a version.
You thought it was fake or a dream, but who cares, and you did actually meet Law crew. So now you and the heart pirate are going to the next island. You decide to buy some books.
You went to the bookstore, as you looked in some interesting books to read you notice someone is looking at you. He seemed surprised, like he had seen a ghost, then something ups up. "Hello! Anything you're looking for?" Said the store owner, you're surprised, "yes, I was looking for a medical book for my friend, " you said.
"Oh! Of course, I do I have one gimme a sec, and I'll be right back!" She said, you follow her, waiting for the book, the guy is looking at you like he's about to say something. "Here you go!" She said, "Thank you!" You said you, paid the book and left, but didn't you know that someone was following.
He's about to snatch you, but he vanish, you look behind to find nothing you shrugged off. The guy who was following you was teleported somewhere else, and that guy was stunned to see law, "you dare lay a finger on my girlfriend?" Said Law.
"She isn't your girlfriend! You kidnap, my sister!" He yelled, Law glared at him and cut him in half with his katana, Law sword was dripping with blood. Law cleaned his sword and went back to the submarine like nothing ever happened.
Once he came back, "Law! You came back!" Said bepo, "Law! Just in time, it time for dinner!" You said. The crew ate, "You know I saw this guy staring at me for a moment," you said, "Oh! Really? Maybe he's just a pervert," Ikkaku said. You nodded. Law, look at you during dinner like you want to tell him something.
After dinner, you ask Law to talk to you about something, "Is there something you want me to tell?" Law question, you nodded. "Yes, every time when I go to sleep, I always have these dreams." Law knew something was up and listened when you talked.
"And then when I saw this person who has been staring at me, I think I knew him, but I can't remember who he is" you said, Law has to plan before it to late to regain your memories. He sighed, and he took out some medical pills, "Take these, it will help you sleep well." You look at him and look at the pills.
Then you took it, not knowing it was Law idea. He wants to make sure to forget everyone you loved, you don't need them, your only need Law, only him. You keep starting taking pills. If you don't have any, Law will make you more to keep you healthy.

If you haven't done one all ready can you do a fic were the reader is jj's estranged brother (hes gay) and he and jj meet again because of a case we're the unsub is Killing gay people and she saves him befor the unsub can kidnap/kill him and they make up and he meets his newfew
Hiya! This was such a good idea, I hope you like it!
Warnings: unaccepting parents, mentions of serial killer killing gay people
âJJ?â You ask, frowning. Youâre not completely sure, youâve not seen her since she left for college, with you leaving two years later, when you turned eighteen.
â(Y/N)?â She pauses, taking you in. Itâs been ten years since sheâs last seen you. Youâve changed, youâre taller, youâre no longer the little boy who used to run around the house, who turned into the secluded teen who mostly stayed in his room. âHow- how have you been?â
âIâm okay.â You said. âYou?â
âIâm good.â She nods.Â
âWhy are you here, JJ?â You asked softly.
âI- Thereâs a serial killer. Heâs killing gay people.â She said, deciding not to beat around the bush. âWeâre canvasing local bars.â
You give a small nod and silence fills the air.
âI just⌠I want you to know I donât agree with mum and dad.â She said, looking up at you - something she didn't used to have to do. âI just⌠had no way of contacting you when I eventually found out. And then I wasnât sure if youâd want me to reach out.â
You look down at your hands, âI⌠You donât agree with them?âÂ
âNo, of course not.â She said, placing her hand gently on your arm. âYouâre my brother. No matter what, who you like doesnât change that.â
You give her a small smile, swallowing heavily. âAre- are mum and dad okay?â
âYeah, theyâre doing okay.â She said and you nod. âDid you want to come back to the station with me? Iâd like to make sure youâre safe until we get this guy.â
âEr, yeah. Sure.â You give a nod, âIt would be nice to catch up.â
âI have so much to tell you.â She gives you a smile.Â
Three days later, you were sat on the jet next to your sister on the way to Virgina to meet your nephew. You had a nephew- and JJ was a mum. There was no doubt in your mind that she was an amazing mother. And the fact that sheâs letting you be a part of this was almost overwhelming.Â
When the jet landed, you followed JJ to her car, sliding into the passenger seat. It was a short drive to a nice house, another car parked in the driveway. You had heard all about Henry and Will on the flight over. Nerves were biting at the bottom of your stomach at the thought of meeting your nephew, and JJâs fiancee.Â
Following your sister out of the car, you let her lead the way.
âHenry?â She called out, a toddler ran around the corner, hugging JJâs legs tightly.
âMama!â He exclaimed.
âHey baby,â JJ said softly, crouching down. âThereâs someone I want you to meet.â
You held your breath.
âThis is Uncle (Y/N).â

Strange way of life
No, it's not about my sweet Pedro (I'll let Silva be happy with his cowbow), it's a new Cooper Howard story, yaaaaaay !
Her cousins ââhad gently teased her when the name had appeared on her wrist on her eighteenth birthday.
It was nothing unusual, it happened to everyone, even if what was once a joy was now the memory of a lost world. It was very rare for two soulmates to be in the same vault, very rare indeed. Legends.
And unfortunately for Y/N, she was no exception.
If Lucy and Norman were snickering, it was because of her reaction when they read the name.
"⌠Cooper Howard ? My soulmate is the actor Cooper Howard ?! The famous Cooper Howard ?!"
"Uh, no, I don't think so."
"He would be over two hundred years old. Sorry, Y/N, but he's long dead. Maybe he's his descendant, or a guy with the same name."
"But I love Cooper Howard ! I've seen all his movies ! That would make sense !"
"Not really, no." Norm said, visibly a little sad at his cousin's excitement.
Sure, maybe the great Cooper Howard was still alive, in a hibernation chamber, in another vault, and waiting for her.
But even if that was the case, there was little chance that they would ever meet. There was no indication that it would be possible to come out soon, and so the rule was to ignore names when choosing a partner.
If not, humanity would have died out long ago.
Unfortunately for Vault 33, most of the young people were quite romantic. Her brother could try to be reasonable, Lucy stopped mocking to hug her cousin, saying that it was wonderful that she was destined for such a wonderful man.
They had been fans of the cowboy since childhood. At the same time, there weren't many other movies to watch.
A few years later, Lucy had her name, which wasn't that of an actor. At least, not a known actor in the vault, even if it was special. Titus Maximus.
Norman noted that it sounded like a name from Ancient Rome. He joked that his sister and cousin probably had soulmates who could travel through time.
While Y/N wanted to wait as long as possible before making a decision about her love life, Lucy sadly accepted that she would probably never meet Maximus, asking to meet a man from Vault 32 to get married. This pleased neither young Norman, for security reasons, nor Y/N, for emotional reasons. Besides the fact that he could be a dangerous cannibal, ugly and mean, there was nothing to say that Lucy and him would love each other. She could wait for her Titus.
"No, I don't want to wait anymore. I want love, real love. I can't keep dreaming and having fun with ChetâŚ"
"Chet ? Your other cousin ? That's disgusting, Lucy !"
"I know ! That's why I need a husband. And if I ever meet Maximus, I could always divorce him. You can wait for your Cooper if you want, cowboy or whatever. I understand and I don't judge you. So don't judge me either."
That wasn't enough to prevent the massacre that followed. It was only because she had retreated to her room that Y/N escaped death, not seeing Overseer MacLean being kidnapped either.
More than this idea of ââmarriage, she found that leaving the shelter to go looking for him was very bad. She had never really loved her uncle, finding him strange. Her parents had also always been wary of him, even more so after the death of her mother's sister who they followed here before the plague.
But Y/N loved her cousins, both Norm and Lucy, and so there was no way she was going to let her go alone.
The poor widow drugged Chet because he would have been a burden, she already knew that her little brother would only help her get out, and when her cousin insisted on coming, she couldn't say no.
They were probably among the smartest, bravest and most skilled people in the vault. Together, they had a better chance of surviving outside.
However, nothing could prepare them for this devastated world. It was nothing like what their teachers had said. The sun was hot, the air full of dust, the earth barren, and the people rude.
The worst was that mercenary in the city of Philly, who started shooting at everyone while laughing, ready to kill Lucy because she was defending the poor man whose leg he had blown off.
Y/N didn't really want to get involved. She admitted that the treatment inflicted on the one who seemed to be a doctor and his dog was not normal, and that in other circumstances she would have intervened.
But they were not there for that, and if they wanted to find Lucy's father, it was probably better to avoid trouble.
This misadventure was not in vain, however. Because not only were they saved by a man named Titus Maximus wearing a huge sparkling armor, but they also recovered the doctor's head which could be used as a bargaining chip against Henry MacLean.
And above all, they had crossed paths with this ghoul dressed as a cowboy, exactly like in Cooper Howard's films, who spoke exactly like in Cooper Howard's films.
Since the atomization, meetings between soulmates were very rare. So double meetings ? Impossible.
Until a monster ate the head, Lucy kept jumping up and down like a child, terribly happy, immediately forgetting her failed marriage and a little bit about the reason for their presence near this radioactive lake. Even if she hadn't had time to give Maximus her name, there was little risk in saying that their savior was made for her.
"It's him ! I know it's him ! I only saw his face for a few seconds, but he's so handsome, so brave ! Did you see how he didn't hesitate for a second to jump in front of us and take the bullet for us ?"
"Yes, I did."
"I wonder why that horrible mercenary wanted to take that poor man, and what he was going to do to him. Do you think he has a soulmate ? Oh, do you think the doctor had a soulmate ?!"
"I don't know." Y/N sighed, trying to convince herself that it wasn't because the mercenary looked and talked like Cooper Howard that he was the actor, or her soulmate.
She could have asked him the question, when he caught up with them without too much difficulty, while they were wondering how to get the head back. Because without the head, there was no way to save Lucy's father.
Her poor cousin tried to explain it to the Ghoul, while he plunged her again and again into the water, while Y/N could only watch and beg, tied to a pole.
The plan he had put in place to attract the beast worked well, too well, and in the end, in addition to losing what he was looking for, the mercenary had his bag snatched, which obviously contained important things.
"Fuck⌠Fuck !" he yelled, pointing his gun at Lucy, as if the poor girl was responsible.
He didn't shoot. Visibly changing his mind, he took them both, forcing them to walk without water or food for days, to an unknown destination.
Several times, Y/N hesitated to give her name, to see his reaction. When he asked them after putting a bullet in Roger's head, her cousin answered first and he jumped, not giving Y/N time to speak.
He had understood that they were cousins. He must have thought that they had the same name, MacLean. Not Y/L/N.
She could have said it. Several times. But saying it was getting an answer, and she didn't know which one she wanted.
Either this man wasn't her soulmate and they were going to die. Or they were destined. And Y/N couldn't believe that this abomination, this heartless monster, could be for her. Even less that he could be Cooper Howard, the good sheriff who punished the bad guys and saved damsels in distress.
No, it couldn't be him. She was almost certain of it when he cut off Lucy's finger with a smile.
Arriving in front of the Super Duper Market, it was a surprise to be untied. Then he announced that he was taking two women in more or less good condition, in exchange for vials.
He hadn't killed them, just sold them.
No, he couldn't be her Cooper.
It was totally impossible.
But as Lucy walked through the store trying to stay dignified, holding back her tears, Y/N couldn't help but turn to the Ghoul. If she was going to die, she had to know.
He frowned, waiting to see what she would say, probably in an attempt to gain his pity.
"Are you Cooper Howard ?"
The question surprised him for a moment. Something flashed in his eyes, indicating that it had been a long time since he had heard that name. But he quickly resumed his closed demeanor.
"Not anymore, sweetie."
"I'm Y/N Y/L/N."
The doors of the Super Dupper automatically closed before Y/N could say anything else or see his face. It probably wouldn't have made much difference anyway.

Miquella is nice
After finishing the DLC, Miquella made me think a lot. Before the DLC, he had a rather⌠one-sided image, I don't know what else to call it. He was incredibly kind, and we saw references for his connection to St. Trina initially (because we still remember Gwyndolin, who lived as girl. And we know Fromsoftware loves the archetype of the sad feminine young man). Miquella was a victim, was a martyr, and was an incredibly kind soul who prayed for Godwyn and invented a true miracle - the Golden Needle, which can help to hold the rot.
But the DLC absolutely turned his image upside down! And it makes me very sad to see a character's incredible transition and acquisition of a new layer of morality (gray) labeled as "bad writing" and "fuck GRRM he spoiled my baby boyy :(((((".
Today after talking with my spouse (He always helps me realize any fragments of lore. Sometimes I have a hard time understanding the simplest things that everyone has long understood and accepted. Also! Happy birthday to my beloved!), I could only finally understand why everyone is getting so worked up about Michella, even though we've had a scenario similar to his "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" a long time ago. That was Laurence, everyone's favorite in Bloodborne, and Gwyn (he really wanted good things and it didn't turn out well :/), etc. I'll also remind you that the fandom (in the general sense) of Fromsoftware games is very fond of villains, and that's fine. But for some reason, when Miquella turned out to be not the good guy everyone wanted him to be, no one appreciated it. And I tried to defend him to the last in a discussion with my husband - Miquella sacrificed everything for the "greater good" in his understanding of the word, Miquella went the way of renunciation, Miquella knew how to love and loved his sister, Miquella wanted to correct all the sins of the past.
However, unlike most Fromsoftware villains, Miquella HIDES his atrocities (even from himself). Nashandra, Shabriri, Micolash, anyone - their motives are clear. They have principles, egos, backstories, justifications for wanting to be a destructive factor, some have these reasons built in at birth, some are insane, etc. Miquella, on the other hand, finds followers by Dishonest means, condemns Radahn to suffering for which to end the festival is organized, leaves his sister to die, condemns Mohg to be a puppet in his scheming, and still thinks of himself as a VIRTUE. He believes that the era he is about to found - will be good and bright. And with words of goodness he kills us in battle with Radahn!
Miquella is a golden apple with a very rotten core. We don't know, really, at what point he started to "rot". What's funny is that of the two twins, Malenia was rotten on the outside and he was rotten on the inside.
Miquella's center is in love. He carries self-love everywhere, charming and falling in love with almost everyone. That is why Malenia says, "My brother will keep his promise. He possesses the wisdom, the allure, of a god - he is the most fearsome Empyrean of all." I think he is the type of child who got used to being loved. The problem with this type is that he can become a wonderful person, or he can turn into a monster who will take love and attention at any cost. (My spouse reminded me here of stories of crazed maniacs who kidnapped those they loved and dreamed of a nonexistent future, not realizing the damage they were doing.)
But there are many questions that, perhaps, everyone should answer for themselves?
What vow did Miquella make to Malenia?
In my opinion, Malenia was not charmed by him. I've always wondered WHY she waits for Miquella at the cocoon in the Tree, even though it clearly shows Miquella being stolen???? She knew, she probably knew his plan originally. She had been waiting for his return like a god. But what had he promised? That when he returned, he would cure her of the rot permanently?
When did Miquella begin his "fall"?
There is no denying that Miquella was a good guy. He tried, he tried to help his loved ones. He looked up to Radahn as a child with respect, as the description of Remembrance of a God and Lord says. Miquella was in harmony with his other self, Trina. But what changed him? Failures? The desire to save everyone at once? The desire to be the most loved? To be perfect - a god? I'm inclined to think it was all of those things that corrupted him at once. After all, as a favorite child, he may have been flawed deep inside from the beginning.
Miquella had resurrected Radahn as a young, beautiful warrior, just as he had been before. But Radahn does not utter a single phrase during the battle, and his movements are more automatic. Radahn feels nothing, and it makes me think more and more that he's more like Miquella's wish come true, his hope of having a worthy consort he loved by his side.
Is Radahn a puppet or a future lord?
Nothing has been confirmed. I've also read that Miquella's spell was broken when his rune was split, that's how many NPCs come to their senses and realize everything. But I think his power would be enough to, like a necromancer, control a resurrected one? And honestly, it's unlikely Radahn would have wanted such a fate. He was holding back fate itself, the stars, so that what did happen to him in the DLC wouldn't happen. Thanks to Miquella, Malenia had turned Caelid into a solid rotten mess and blossomed her divine flower, and left Radahn in an insane state waiting for a noble death at the hands of other warriors. Miquella mutilated him. I don't think Radahn would have appreciated his methods, considering how dedicated he is to warriorship and uprightness, and also honors Godfrey.
What would have happened if the Age of Compassion had happened?
I think it would have been VERY bad. And after a major flourish of life and honoring Miquella, there would have been a decline and another Shattering. Miquella shows himself to be a man who does not tolerate dissent. I think there would have been a flowering of the Inquisition, persecution, murder, and brutal tyranny. And Radahn, most likely, would have simply been "squeezed out" by Miquella and destroyed by his boundless love. Yes, Miquella rejects his love, as @jarognieva correctly pointed out. But he rejected, in my understanding (we need a clear translation from Japanese here), his destined love, i.e., his intended spouse, Trina? Just as Radagon was Marika's spouse. Our Marika is a deity, but she is capable of love - her love for her son, Godwyn, caused her heart to break.
Fandom cancelled Mohg, now he is cancelling Miquella. People don't accept and don't want to comprehend the things that make them change points of view. That's how the witch hunt begins! So stop being shitty and decide for yourself what you think of Miquella before claiming him a "bad written character"
Miquella, as a character, has become an incredible bastard, manipulative and truly evil with a mask of piety. He doesn't go into battle as an honest warrior, he uses others. He "sacrifices" himself by actually sacrificing everyone else. But doesn't that make him MORE interesting?
He's broken a lot of headcanons, but I sincerely hope that the wave of love for him as a VERY gray character will still come! After all, he's a worthy villain archetype! A true evil hidden in a pure soul. How many fanfics, how many musings can be spawned from that. No need to deny him, rather try to accept Miquella for who he is. And don't make it into "good" or "evil". There's a particular aesthetic to how awful Miquella is.

Imagine having an affair with Lee Gun before Devil's Tower, but it ended because he didn't pay attention to you. After you ask him to go on a date, he immediately denies it because he has an attack planned that week.
So you asked him if he loved you? He remained silent after the question and left your house slamming the door, leaving you alone with the pieces of your heart.
The following week, there was the attack on the Devil's Tower. It's Lee Gun was presumed dead.
Twenty years later, you were going to meet your current boyfriend who was an Aries. It was downhill after that day.
1.You find your boyfriend cheating on you with one of your best friends. Having your heart broken for the second time.
2.You found a desperate Hugo on the way, after 20 years. As soon as the red eyes accident occurred, the blonde became distant from you.
3. He saw a guy who claims to be his ex-boyfriend, and tells him that he doesn't have to go after any man anymore, because he's back.
Lee Gun: You're still my girlfriend.
Reader:ĺ¸( ̄ă ̄)
In the following days, the supposed Lee Gun fought in a red zone, salve for the Philippines, he fought against the Cancer saint, the Gemini zodiac, salve for Drachma and many other things that his ex-love would definitely do.
Not to mention that he invites you (kidnaps) you to every place he goes.
Now you are in a bar celebrating the death of Blood Mist that Lee Gun and Hugo killed.
Sungjae is sending him murderous looks after his uncle introduced him as his girlfriend, Kevin gave him a look of pity and disgust, Hugo is telling his disciples all the things and events that happened in the past including his romance with the young god. Lee Gun just smiled and hugged his arm around him and sipped his drink.
Hugo: Gun intended to propose to you "the blonde said looking at you with a slow voice due to the drinks.
Sungjae: What was he going to do?!
Kevin: How come even back then you had a girlfriend and still got married!? Before me.
Lee Gun: spitting out the drink because that was supposed to be a secret.
You look at him in surprise and with your heart beating very fast, because even after twenty years, you still love this maniac.
Reader: I would have back then. Making everyone go silent and Lee Gun looking at you in surprise. Lee looked at you with hope "What now? Would you still accept to marry me?" You just laughed and kissed his lips. "We'll talk later"
Making Hugo faint, Sungjae yelling something about his sister losing her husband and Kevin cursing Lee Gun.
