boy, i sure love [redacted huge movie that grossed billions]. it’s too bad disney has done absolutely nothing with it in years and has released 2 crumbs of new content pertaining to it and thus the fandom died off after a year or two and me and my 5 buddies in our grimy, musty corner of the internet (discord server that miraculously is still up after 5 years worth of insane fandom drama) are the ONLY people still talking about it

#i mean normies still talk about it. once in a blue moon when they're talking about the rest of [redacted]'s oeuvre #but!!#there was a healthy and moderately sized fandom for a hot minute there and now NOOOOO ONE cares about this franchise anymore because disney #has not done SHIT with it!!#in 5 years we've gotten uhhh. 2 comics? they were both in 2019. nothing since then.#we have also gotten--wait for it--some of the characters from this franchise appearing in disney heroes!#and--wait for it again--a book is coming out this year! with an awful au plot that makes no sense! and i'm honestly stark raving insane #(in an excited way) about it because this is the ONLY crumb we have gotten since TWO THOUSAND AND NINETEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#AND ITS NOT EVEN CANON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#the point of this post is that it's extremely funny to me that disney has ostensibly this huge and wildly popular juggernaut of a franchise #and has done so little with it that there is absolutely no hype anymore. even among the animation freaks on tumblr
