Need to reblog this because I've been reading lots of IF stories lately and I have gotta talk about them. I don't know all the creator's accounts so I may just link the game, but if I know the tumblr I'll try and add it. Oneshots: 1. Weird Little Guys by Cadance the Magnificent Your cat is in a weird mood today, care to find out why? I'll give no info beyond that because it's very short and you can read the whole thing in a few minutes. Set in Twine format. 2. Stigmata by Vileidol Being a vampire is tough when the person you like is supposed to kill you. Features some optional 18+ content as well as depictions of injuries/ possible death, and blood drinking. Set in Twine format. 3. Synapse by Lesflaya Cryogenics and a curious ai who's body is beginning to fail. Complete your work or search for answers. Depictions of body horror/ frozen injuries, can get a bit squeamish. Set in Twine format.
4. Pyrates by Apollo'sBoy You're a surgeon who's been kidnapped by pirates, befriend the crew and maybe kiss the captain while you're at it. Character is locked as male and mlm, some injuries depicted. Set in Twine format. Ongoing: 1. Burning Academia by HeartSyncProducitons Life's never been easy for you and unfortunately the day you discovered magic is also the day you were attack by it. Be a non magic user discovering a magical school and get haunted by wraiths in the process. There is a trigger warning rundown before you play which I do suggest reading. I'm also biased with this one cause the writer was really nice to me. Set in Twine format, tumblr is @burning-academia-if 2. Misplaced by Calliope You've trained all your life to protect the crown from fae, but what happens when it turns out you are the fae in question? Be a knight in a war between man and fae, protect the prince or embrace your roots. Like the previous there is a trigger list which I recommended, also the writing is really good. Don't expect ro's to bend over backwards just because you flirted with them. Set in Twine format, tumblr is @calliopefiction 3. Apt 502 by Nik Welcome to New York! You've been dumped, you have no money, and a group of strangers has invited you to stay with them! Find love again while avoiding (or confronting) your ex and manage work on the side. I don't believe this one has a trigger warning list, but the contents don't seem overly extreme anyways. Set in CoG format, tumblr is @apt502-if
4. The Abyssal by Matheus Marquês Trapped away and left to rot, you are the god of death. When your shackles are finally broken what will you do to a world which has betrayed you? No trigger warning list in game but depictions of death (obviously), injury, torture, and isolation. Set in CoG format, tumblr is @theabyssal
5. A Tale of Crowns by Qeresî After running your whole life your problems have finally caught up to you, those in particular being the golden eyes which declare you Crown of Arsur. Become a royal, face two sided politicians, avoid assassins, and discover the truth behind your history before it's too late. Has a trigger warning list and displays characters very dynamically. Just well written, magical, and one that has me emotionally invested to all hell. Set in Twine format, tumblr is @ataleofcrowns 5. Love the Guard, Be the King by Ligia Nunes As the prince's knight and whipping boy, you've endured a life of hardship which has either steeled or broken you. As the queen renounces her title and your prince is now set to become king, will you guide him on the right path or get revenge for your past. 16+ content and depictions of childhood abuse/ violence. Set in Ren'Py format. 6. Body Count by Nell Going on a Love Island type dating show sounds fun until bodies begin to drop. On a secluded island with no contact from outside you must appease the cameras and solve the murder of your fellow contestant. Has a trigger warning list and features 18+ content. I adore the concept so much I have to bring it up. Set in Twine format, tumblr is @bodycountgame 7. Summer of Love by ThatWheelchairChick Joining a dating show with a bunch of strangers may seem like a bad idea, And hey! Maybe it is! but you may as well have fun (and see if you can get that cash prize). Pretty much a non murderous version of Body Count where you can focus on the island dating aspect without the risk of death. Is marked as 18+ and can have some raunchy lines in it. Set in Twine format.
Appreciation Post + Needing your input!
We appreciate the love you are sending our way for this project. At the beginning of it, my wife and I talked about it into details about what we wanted from it and how we knew we might just not have any sort of success whether that meant financially, critically, or socially. We wondered if this project would be something we could find ourselves doing in the long term, if it was something we could see ourselves doing full-time, and if it was something that would be genuinely appreciated.
And for that last part, I say it's a success! You guys really love this game!
For this, we thank you all for following our little project that we hope can make you happy.
But also! Let's give back to this community! This blog has amassed quite the follower count, meaning we can reach possibly many people on the Tumblr side of things. And so, now I am asking for your help:
Please send us interactive fiction projects that are either ongoing/completed/unfinished! Give us a quick rundown on it and why you would want to see other people play it! There are many games out there that many people might be interested in!
This can be done through sending us an ask (public or anonymous), tagging us in a post, add a comment on this post, or reblogging this post.
Anyways thank you for your participation if you opt to! Thank you everyone for following this project, and thank you for everyone who opts to help us in this little shenanigan to help people connect to new or old games to look at :)
