as I get older I realize a lot of ppl don’t know what healthy sibling/familial bonds look like they don’t even have the slightest idea
#the way fandom brained ppl talk abt characters that r siblings u would think these ppl grew up like tarzan#nobody is normal abt familial relationships esp if its between ppl of different genders#there r the shipper weirdos and then there’s the knee jerk reaction ppl who think it’s gross when siblings hug#like damn yall are fucked up and nasty but I kinda feel bad for yall…. 🙁#and of course western cultures and the offshoots have poisoned us w harmful conceptions of compulsory gendering/patriarchal gender and sex#the function of compulsory gendering is compulsory sex and that manifests in ways outside of actual sex/dating#we don’t talk enough abt how it dictates familial bonds and by extension familial/platonic intimacy#like how parents inappropriately police their childrens gender and sexuality but also their contact w relatives of opposite gender. scary#not many ppl r aware of how fucked up their ideas of a normal family are until someone from a different culture is like brother eughhhh#anyway Im african so its just like damn sorrh that happened to yall
