i know this sounds pedantic but i really wouldnt be worried about a trump swing, this is a get out the vote problem
#there may be a bump in the polls but it isnt the creation of more trump supporters#everyone is already in their camps#its a bump in political participation#and becoming more comfortable with voicing the pre-existing alignment#its an important distinction in language because its a different mechanism entrely#this is not about hearts and minds#this is about political participation#and this is about preparing for adverse and violent participation#and the ways that trump supporters will begin to feel more freedom to participate#again NOT ABOUT HEARTS AND MINDS#everyone is dyed in the wool no matter what they tell you#its about how itll embolden them#remember how last time they watched the polls? whats gonna happen this time#and theres gonna be divine jesus imagery mixed in#but it isnt about sympathy and moving people toward trump#its just about the changes to the political climate#and how thatll effect participation and motivation and how comfortable people are with voicing their true opinions#very different
