Flower Soulmate AU

In the shower this soulmate AU popped in my head where wherever your soulmate has an injury, flowers will grow from your skin where your soulmate has been injured.

The worse the injury is the bigger the flower.

Each person grows a unique type of flower corresponding to their soulmate, the flower that grows on your body is native to the region your soulmate was born.

Scars turn into flower tattoos, the same kind that grows from the skin. Because of that, drawing/receiving flower tattoos (that you get from the shop, on purpuse) is taboo, people could think that it is from their soulmate.

Everyone has a flower tattoo on their belly buttons, in case you didn’t know, your belly button is a scar from where the umbilical cord was attached.

Internal injuries will make you grow flowers inside of you, it won’t kill you but it will be very uncomfortable (a lot of diseases were found because of that, a person growing flowers inside of them and then checking their soulmate).

Yes, lung/stomach/esophagus and all of that will make you throw up flowers hanahaki style, it won’t kill you tho.

Flower recognition forums/sites/whatever become very popular.

Self-harm becomes a more prominent issue, people harm themselves trying to communicate with their soulmate and sometimes it goes too far.

When your soulmate dies, the flower tattoos wilt.

I’m using flowers explaining this AU because it’s easier to explain it with them, but it could be any plant, if it is a plant like a cactus or a poisonous one it won’t harm you.
