The man’s presence could likely have been felt by everyone who had even the slightest bit of history with him. It wasn’t hard to miss, provided he didn’t go to the effort of concealing it. However, in a split second, that presence had disappeared from one side of this strange city, only to reappear elsewhere. Perhaps, as for as Tsubaki Yayoi was concerned, a bit too close to her current location. Though he emitted no malice towards her, his expression was far from friendly.

Then again, he just had one of those faces. She’d like come across more than her fair share of fellow officers who’d remarked on how just being near him made their skin crawl.
