"please update!!" bestie this is a oneshot.. it's done. it's over. and not only is it clearly marked as such, but one of the two main characters straight up DIED. what more do you want me to add
#there are some oneshots i've written that i could feasibly write a sequel to#this is NOT one of them#n.anami is dead. there's nowhere else for the fic to go and i'm not bringing him back bc you don't know how to tell when a fic is#marked as complete#??????#like you shouldn't beg for updates on incomplete fics either obviously but this is just funny#i literally genuinely don't know what else you want me to do#it's a study on the dynamic between m.egumi & n.anami that goes from their first meeting to after n.anami's death#there's nothing else i have to say#i'm happy you liked the fic but i will not be 'updating' a complete oneshot. god bless 🙏

Hi! I just read Butterflies in a Cold Snap (one of the best, most in-character doctor who pieces I’ve ever read, and I’ve gone through A Teaspoon and an Open Mind ((Doctor Who fic archive that predates ao3 by 5 years)), incredible job, I read all of your other works right after) and wanted to reach out on tumblr.
If you’re still accepting prompts: Part of BiaCS that made it so enticing and interesting to me is eleven’s internal struggle with letting Rose go instead of messing up to timelines. I would absolutely love to see a fic where he loses that battle and convinces Rose to stay even when he knows he shouldn’t.
I also saw that you’re struggling with figuring out a way to make elevenrose both feasible and original, and I wanted to share one of my answers, in case it sparks something: genetic duplicity. Genetic duplicity is Doctor Who’s excuse for hiring the same actor multiple times. For RTD “It's not familial as we understand it. There's no blood tie. Spatial genetic multiplicity means an echo and repetition of physical traits across a Time Rift.”
I’ve also been personally working on a pirate elevenrose AU (not posted yet) and you’ve inspired me to work through some writer’s block today, so thank you for that.
Your writing is beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us.
This is so thoughtful! I have to tell you, besides Lost and Rewritten, I think BiaCS is my favorite Doctor Who thing I've written so far. It's funny you should talk about a story where the Doctor chooses to keep Rose and screw up the timelines, because the unposted sequel to Lost and Rewritten (The Vanishing Path) is basically...that. LAR was supposed to be a series at first, but I decided posting too many sequels would spoil the original. Anyway, as a oneshot, I think I'd definitely be interested in trying to write that. Some brief scenario where the Doctor loses that battle with himself and picks the most dangerous option - although I have to say, that's more of a Ten thing than an Eleven thing, for sure, in my mind. Ten is one of the only iterations of the Doctor who I could see pulling something like that, and then not caring about the consequences long enough that everything gets horrible before he comes to his senses. I have written whole word-vomits on Ten's character and its divergence from the Doctor's usual nature-
Anyway, this was an absolutely lovely thing to wake up to and see in my inbox. So kind of you to come and write me a message expressing your thoughts, and I'm so glad you enjoyed my tiny DW library! Impressed that you've read so much in the way of Doctor/Rose fanfiction, too! I wish you luck with your pirate AU, and luck with your writer's block too! Thank you for taking the time to read my writing and tell me what you thought.
